20 Best Zero Gravity Massage Chair Under $1000 (2023 Updated)

It arrived 4 days ago. It only took me 20 minutes to unbox and attach the foot attachment. The rollers are really intense. The chair could use more padding. I put a piece of 4″ gel memory foam on it and that made a huge difference.

However, the rollers on the feet are still too hard. I don’t see anyway to turn those rollers off. My friend has the $4k chair, difference is padding, speakers & bluetooth. Oh and this chair doesn’t measure you.

Just received it 24 hrs ago and I cannot say enough about this chair. It has said many features. Full back, waist, butt, neck, legs, feet, arms, shoulders. Adjustable spot, speed, intensity. While using it for the first time last night, I could feel the stress and pain leaving my body for the first time in a very long time.

Shipping was a little slow but for free shipping, what do you expect. So far, I am impressed with this chair and I do recommend it. I am actually using it while I am typing this review. I hope this helps.

My wife and I bought this as a joint Christmas gift. The shipping/delivery arrangements worked out fine. The 1 year warranty was definitely a factor in our decision, but the paperwork included with the chair clearly states it is covered by a 6 month warranty.

I called Sam’s today about this discrepancy, they conferenced in Factory Direct Warehouse and a representative with FDW confirmed it is covered by a 1 year warranty. While I’m basically satisfied with the outcome, this review is, in part, to document my experience, -1 star.

We are happy with the chair, it appears to be well constructed and provides a number of options for your massage. It has a built in 20 minute timer, if you want a shorter massage just hit the power button.

If you are using one of the preset massages you can reset the timer at any time by switching to a different massage and then go back to your original selection. The foot rollers are pretty intense, my wife loves it, I have to wear slippers.

I researched many chairs before finding this one at Sam’s. It seems to have a very good feature/price value ratio compared to the other chairs I considered. I hope that time will prove this chair to be reliable such that the warranty discrepancy won’t be put to the test.

Have been using every day for a week – it is an amazing machine! Incredible deep foot massage. Really does get the “knots” out of my back muscles! Heat is soothing. Still have not mastered all the controls, but plenty of massage options to choose from and almost fell asleep several times.

Seems to be well built and attractive look. Speakers are OK. Cons: manual does not explain all of it. HEAVY chair and bulky to move so best to have three people to move safely. Arm air bags are kinda awkward at times.

I been using mayb 15 time since i buy from july. i have use 1 every 2 week. 2 week start Bluetooth stop working. i thought was my phone time pass by i made it work only one side. left stop working till now.

so the foot rool stop working. i thought i must hit wrong button. so i let it go for a week try again still not working by the time i call same club they told me the chair is not return able. sadness they ask me to call service been hold like 2 hour, no one pick up.

The chair arrived in 2 large boxes. Two people will be needed to carry the larger box containing the chair. The assembly process was not as easy as expected and requires patience to line up the arms and attach the mechanics.

Once assemble, this chair was very impressive. It provided an incredible massage that more than met my expectations and left me completely relaxed. Each part of your body gets a massage and the Zero G position is awesome.

I have to say that the chair was worth every penny! Do yourself and body a favor!.

1. The massage chair has a strong odor that permeate the entire room and disrupt my sleep. It has been days but still doesn’t go away. 2. The chair is probably made for people of smaller sizes because the legs don’t stretch out fully and it doesn’t lie down as much as it should for zero gravity3.

The shoulder pads are probably made for people of bigger sizes as it doesn’t reach my shoulders at all. 4. The foot pads and leg squeeze are good and effective5. It is easy to assemble for the instructions are clear.

Comfy chair. Great massage. I found myself fall asleep sometimes after a good workout. It was easy to assemble and came very nicely packaged. The only complaint that I have is every time you press a button on the remote, it beeps.

I wish I can turn it off but overall, great chair. So happy with our purchase.

The zero gravity feature and the ability to roll it in case you need to reposition it are nice features. The Bluetooth feature is nice although the sound quality could be better. The lower back massage is not very comfortable but the other areas are OK.

It has the ability to extend the leg massager but it doesn’t extend far enough for taller people. The situation is the same for other brands of massage chairs also. More consideration should be given for taller people.

The same designed could be used just that the legs could extend a little further than they currently do. And you could always retract them when you don’t need it to extend that far.

This chair is small. VERY small. AND it doesn’t seem to fit some of my family members well. I am 6 feet tall and 195 pounds and my legs are VERY bent when I sit in it, even with the legs fully extended.

It’s a weird feeling sitting with my knees this bent. The area that massages your feet is so small that this function is pretty much useless. Basically, for me there is no benefit for the entire legs and feet.

My wife is 5′ 5″ and she cannot get her shoulders high enough AND she cannot get her legs stretched out enough. Her knees are bent, A LOT as well. Other than the bent knees, the chair is okay. We did not expect this to be like a $5000 chair.

HOWEVER, it would be nice to be able to straighten out one’s legs. Would I buy this again? No. No I would not. Ours will probably be listed on craigslist next year.

Hello, I purchased this real relax chair, based on the reviews. The package came in lightning fast. Came in two boxes. Putting it together took less than 30 minutes. I have to say for less than $1000 you can’t get a better deal overall.

I even purchased an additional warranty for four years just in case. This chair has zero gravity mode which works very nicely. And the heating element for your lower back works very nicely as well. Overall I read this massage chair a five-star.

I got it for $650 about a month ago. I see the price went up a little. A early Christmas gift for my wife, but man I think I use more than her lol! You’ll need help getting in the house cause its heavy.

or you’ll need to open it in your driveway to bring it in. It does have tires on the back end but they don’t feel too sturdy to roll around everywhere. Easy set up if your handy but not too difficult if your not.

Make sure the air lines are secure on the valves. Comes with instructions in english with pics. Looks sleek and not too bulky. It has to be away from the wall as the zero gravity feature(really nice) leans back and could hit the wall.

I have not had any mechanical issues with it and I’ve used it every other day. I have a physical job and I work out, my feet my back and my neck sometimes hurt. After using it it definitely helps me relax after a hard day.

The modes are key. After I found the right modes depending on what muscle I worked for the day,man!! Cons. My wife is 5’1″. So she does the bottom part of her body and then leans back and does the top half.

I’m 5’5″ and its the perfect height from my neck to my feet. It does adjust a few inches taller by pushing down on the springs with your feet when your sitting in it but its does not get shorter. It took me a great while, several months to consider buying a massage chair online without even trying it. I’ve had frozen shoulder due to some health problems and the nature of work I do. There were a few reviews and I based my decisions on that to invest on something to help me.

First, I choose the burgundy color because it matches with the living room furniture. This chair is very heavy, it came on a pallet. Some parts came in pieces like the arms, side and cushions. The heavy part is the chair itself but it has a roller.

The instruction was not very clear especially about connecting the air tubes to the chair. I finally went to You Tube hoping for someone to shed some light. I got everything connected and to this day I am still using, enjoying and relaxing on this chair after a hard day’s work.

Ordered chair, said it would take 2 wks, ended up taking almost 5-6 wks. Recieved chair in very well packaging and not damage. Setting up was very simple regardless of poor instructions. On the seating part of the chair feels like u are seating on cardboard bc it’s very firm.

People reviews complain bc they felt the rollers to be pretty firm on the back and legs, that’s the reason I bought it, bc I want it to give me a strong massage vs a relaxing massage, so far it’s true, but i like it that way.

This pair of antigravity chairs make number 7 and 8 in our collection. We have a summer room and a winter room where we spend our time X two houses. Just can’t sit any where else. We got our first two many years ago and they were a Godsend to my aching (retail store owner) days of standing on hard floors.

We are in our 60s/70s now and the chairs are even more important. Gave on to our son in law who is a builder. He LOVES it too. Great to know there is a place in your own home where you can get absolute relief.

It’s extremely comfortable and relaxing as billed. Easy to assemble too. I was a little startled by the size of it. You do give exact measurements, but I had a zero gravity chair before that fit in a particular space and I was assuming this would do the same.

Unfortunately not. It is very tall when upright and presents a bit of barrier entering the room. But the furniture has been moved around, and I am getting used to its size. Once I am in it the size doesn’t matter anyway.

The Chair is truly a zero gravity chair which is great! The leather is of good quality and comfortable. Beware the manual version meaning manually reclining and then manually going back upright is not the easiest.

To do this you have to have leverage with your hands and the arm rests which are screwed into the frame and could possibly cause the arm rest to be pulled off the frame (screws loosened/stripped)! In my opinion poor design.

I have been looking at these for a couple of years now and when I saw the price drop on this one at Sams, I pulled the trigger. I have had buyers remorse on some large purchases in the past, but not with this one.

What a great experience. All I can say is that this product lives up to the reviews. Takes a while to figure out the adjustments to tailor it to your personal dimensions, but it really relaxes, relieves stress and helps with sore muscles.

Setup was pretty easy with most of it already put together. Directions were just a little vague on one or two things, but with any kind of mechanical ability setup should go well. Had it together in about an hour, including unpacking.

To be honest I was always wanting a massage chair but I couldn’t justify the price of $4000+ so never though I could afford one. Being a Sam’s member I found this TI-8700 Massage Chair and did my research.

I have lower back issues in the L4 &5 and constantly getting massages. I found that this was much cheaper than what others where selling it for so I took a chance. Simply surprised at all the features its has.

More than the ones in the mall I tried and at $2000 less. The massage is strong enough and love the foot roller massagers on the bottom. My work calls for me to stand all day so it is just awesome. The shoulder massagers are little wide for my frame but besides that this is the best purchase of the year for me.

Well, i just got this and this for first few days impression; very good quality, built and many options to choose for your liking. Setting up was very easy and after everything was set this thing looks beautiful and works very good also.

Be honest i wasn’t expecting this. I used and tried many massage chairs around, in stores etc. i can put this right up there with the best ones. I think this TITAN TI-8700 is new 2016 model. I love the functions and the control that you can customize for your likings.

I’m really hoping durability also good as this thing looks and works. But anyhow if something goes wrong i think 3 years warranty is very comforting too.

Excellent. My husband has had several back surgeries. He sleeps many nights in this chair because he can’t get comfortable anywhere else.

For me the hardest part about the setup was getting the chair in the house. It is literally almost the exact same width as the door. This required taking the pneumatic screen door closer hinge assembly off at the wall.

It also requires two people since it weighs over 200 lbs. I am sure this will be something you experience with any massage chair, since they are mostly all around the same size. After it is inside and where you want it to be, setup is about 10-15 minutes.

Once you are up and running, this is really an amazing chair. There are four pre-programmed massage modes; Refresh, Recover, Extend, and Relax. They all use different combinations of methods including; kneading, knocking, shiatsu, and rollers.

Certain ones concentrate more on certain areas. For Example the recovery mode concentrates more on your lower back and shoulders. You can also create your own massage in “manual” mode by using the different methods and levels of intensity; for example you can make it just concentrate on your back between your shoulders and just do a shiatsu massage with medium intensity.

Without getting into any more serious details let me just say, this is a great massage chair for the money, I use it every day.

I highly recommend this chair based on its capabilities and price which included delivery. My wife and I get professional massages on a somewhat regular basis. I thought this would be nice to have for those occasions where we can’t be fit into the schedule for a massage.

THIS CHAIR RIVALS THE PROFESSIONALS! This chair can go deeper with pressure than most of the professionals that I’ve been to. I’ve found that you can fine tune the massage mechanism to work on one specific spot if needed.

The thing that ultimately convinced me to give this chair a try was the fact that it massages both glutes and feet. It does a wonderful job on both. The heat function is a nice touch but I don’t find myself using it regularly at this point.

I must add that I didn’t try any other chair prior to buying this one. I read plenty of reviews and made my purchase decision based on those reviews. I am very satisfied with this purchase! FYI – the chair is very heavy weighing in at 250lbs and most people will need help moving the chair from the delivery point to a location within the house.

Out of the box the chair is about 27″ wide. In the box it’s about 31″ wide. The entire box did fit through my front door with centimeters to spare.

Positives: For the price you get a very good neck, butt and back massage, looks very sharp, heat on the lower back works well, you can tell in zero gravity mode that you get a better and more relaxed massage.

The techniques mode lets you pinpoint problem areas, especially I like the kneading mode. Negatives: 3 of the 4 types of 4 massage modes work as expected, the recovery mode has 3 glitches in the program where the shiatsu rollers only go up 1 side of my back, very uncomfortable, won’t be using that mode again (I’m not going to pay $300 to send it back for repairs, I’ll live with it, plus the other 3 modes are plenty.

) This thing beats up my upper back pelvic bone like I owe it money. I either have to arch my lower back when the rollers get close or put a thick towel in that area, unless you have extra padding naturally in that area be warned of possible bruising.

The arms and calves are just airbags that squeeze, feels nice but not really a massage. The foot massage is very good but like the arms and calves only activates sporadically through the cycle and even in manual mode (maybe I’m missing something, the directions are pretty useless).

The head cushion is pretty useless during a massage for anyone over 5’10” or so because it covers up a large part of the massage area, so I always throw it back over the back of the chair before starting, then put it back when done because it makes the chair look nicer.

Overall for the price I like it despite the problems described.

Bought this for my husband who has a bad neck, back, hamstrings, and. well, you get the idea. He LOVES it and even now in March, says its the BEST Christmas present i have ever bought him over the past 25 years.

He uses it daily, it has made a huge difference in his pain level and functioning throughout the day. He says the back massage is the best part for him, I prefer the leg and feet massage myself. Either way, the massage function is VERY strong.

The zero gravity feature is very cool, allowing you to relax fully. Twice, we have fallen asleep in the chair while being massaged. We haven’t used the bluetooth speakers too much, but it is nice to search youtube for “relaxation music” and play it at a low volume while you get massaged.

Overall the unit is very well built, I wish the remote buttons were easier to read in the dark. The screen is nice and bright, but its not a touch screen remote so that doesn’t help me too much.

Got this chair as Christmas present to myself. I read a lot of reviews to decide on this chair. I love this chair!!!! It works amazing. Purchasing was very easy on Bjs. com. It was delivered earlier than expected and I didn’t have to wrestle it out of the local Plymouth club.

The delivery driver helped me place it inside my home which was great. Simple to unbox and set up. I am one of those who doesn’t ( but should) read the instructions. I didn’t even need to read instructions on how to put it together.

Super easy to set up and it took me about 20 minutes. The price was insane. The chair itself is big and comfy but it doesn’t take up much space at all. I should have consulted my wife first. She was initially opposed to a massage chair until she tried it.

Now my wife and kids use it as much as I do. Gives a very firm, solid, relaxing massage. The rollers are firm and make my headaches/ tensions all seem to melt away. Sit in this chair for 20 min and your headache, your back ache, your sore muscles will all be gone.

It is definitely not a massage chair. It vibrates, very loudly. Also, the chair smells terrible and lgave me a headache. It lasted for months. I had to cover it jt to use it. After 8!months, I started feeling the heating elements in the back of the chair.

I had to put pillows on the back just to use it. I’ve had it a year and a half and I’m replacing it and it’s going in the trash. Customer service was good in that they did refund me some of my money because of the terrible smell.

I don’t understand the positive reviews for this ‘massage’ chair.

The chair has a terrible smell that lasted for weeks. So strong that I had to cover the chair just to sit in it or my clothes would smell like the chair. It doesn’t massage, it vibrates, very loudly.

It also only heats on the back only. After only six months, I can feel the lumps and bumps from the vibrating and heating elements and it isn’t comfortable. I am 5’3″ and weigh 115 pounds and only sat in it at night when I watched tv and the faux leather has already cracked.

I had it for a year and it’s already in the trash. I definitely would not recommend and wouldn’t have purchased it if I sat in it first.

I purchased this chair for my grandson for Christmas. He is 15 and only 100 lbs. He dearly loves this chair and sits in it while playing his games. He did not get it until January and has not been rough with it at all nor has anyone else heavy sat in it.

It has already come apart at the seam of the seat which allowed air that I guess was used inside the seat to cushion and I suppose help with the heat or massage or something and so now the seat is flat.

It has a very short warranty and since it was a gift and I bought in November because I have 5 grandkids to buy for but he did not get it to use til January so that means it only lasted a couple of months! For me it was an expensive gift and I never dreamed it would only last 2 months before it came apart and was rendered useless.

Please be aware as I hate for anyone else to have this happen to them. I work too hard for my money to spend $250 on a chair that should certainly not come apart like it did.

Best buy third party delivered it, service was fine, not as good as geek squad usually is, but the last third party who did work at my home from best buy fried my electrical panel and cost me more than this chair costs in repairs, so any encounter where something catastrophic like that doesnt happen is good enough for me.

Had to unbox and assemble the chair ourselves. It unboxes relatively easily, and the foot massage piece is a PITA to install, but after a bit we got it done. Even though the early part of this review has been critical, the chair is awesome.

I was very close to buying the Human Touch Super Novo chair a month or so ago from a local store selling open box at 35% off, but by luck I checked best buy and saw that a 3D 0G chair was coming from insignia.

I decided to wait and see how it would be priced etc, and even at full MSRP it is 1/3 roughly of that Super Novo. It went on DotD for half off, and I had a lot of rewards certificates from my BB credit card, so I took the plunge.

The chair is 90% as good as that human touch chair, for all intents and purposes of a normal end user. Yes the human touch has better materials, and a few random extra features (Alexa support, who needs that?).

I am a large man, and this chair accommodates me well. It can be a bit tight on the shoulders, but so was the $12,000 (LOL) super novo chair. I have tried all the offerings from Osaki, Human touch, and other similar brands at 2 or 3 local massage chair stores, and none of them were large enough for my shoulder frame, so that is not really a con on the chair and more a con on my diet and exercise habits.

I would buy this chair in a heartbeat at DotD pricing, and if it was normal price, I would do a lot of thinking and probably buy it when I had some rewards stacked up or a birthday offer, etc. It is super relaxing and does a good job of massage.

Massage therapists beware!.

We’ve had this chair for 1 month now and so far we are very happy with it. Everyone in the family uses it. My wife has said she thinks it might be life changing for her. Oh yeah, the cats love the chair too.

I’ve had to learn to double check before sitting in it to make sure there isn’t a cat curled up in the depression in the seat of the chair. In the evening you can be sure you’ll have to scoop a sleepy cat out of the chair before sitting down.

The massage functions for neck, back, buttock and feet are very effective. The SL track design makes the main massage assembly very nice compared to non-L track chairs. Instead of just going down to the base of your back the L track turns underneath you which allows the main massage assembly to thoroughly cover your buttock.

This chair also gets your neck better than other chairs I’ve tried. At first I was a bit disappointed in the neck massage until I remembered to flip the head rest out of the way. The air bags for the upper and lower arms, shoulders and calves are a nice added touch, but they are not as effective as the rollers of the main assembly and the foot assembly.

The air bags are also used in some circumstances to hold you in place so that the main assembly can exert more force against you instead of simply pushing you away. Talking about force, do beware that this chair can hurt you.

The intensity is adjustable and you should experiment to find what level you are comfortable with. It can cause bruising in a few areas at higher intensity, for example at the very base of your back / top of your hips.

Not bad bruising, not dangerous, just a bit tender. The controller is easy to use for the basic functions. You can jump right in the chair and start using it. But to learn all the functions that are available you will need to read the manual and practice a bit.

For example, you can fine tune the chair for the dimensions of your body but it’s not immediately obvious how just by looking at the controller. Not difficult though. The only thing I can’t speak to yet is longevity.

Will it break down next week or be trouble free for years? Will the faux leather stand up to years of wear and tear and still look decent? Only time will tell. Note that I rated the chair’s quality at 4 stars, but this should be understood to be “initial” quality.

So far I’m happy with this purchase and feel that I got a very good deal at the sale price that I purchased it for. It was significantly less than any other chair with comparable features that I could find.

At that price, and perhaps a little higher even, I would be comfortable recommending this chair to anyone interested in a massage chair.

I’m so happy I bought this item! Definitely one of my best purchases. I use it almost every day. It’s very relaxing and helps ease some tension and pain as a result of spinal cord injuries. On first use I was a little shocked when it started the “tapping” motion on the “Hips and buttocks”.

That’s just a fancy way of saying the chair wants to slap ya booty. But after the initial shock you get used to it! Delivery – The only bad reviews I really saw mentioned poor delivery. My delivery was amazing.

They brought it up the elevator to the fourth floor, asked exactly where I wanted it, unboxed it, and even cleaned up the mess and took the box. They literally did everything other than plug it in. They were also extremely friendly.

Like I said I do have spine injuries and use a wheelchair, but I don’t think they were accommodating because of that. They genuinely seemed like they wanted to help out any way they could. The chair – The chair isn’t perfect but I love it.

It’s comfortable and I often find myself falling asleep while getting the massage! The settings are great and in some areas it gives a GREAT massage. It’s not going to be better than a good massage therapist that knows you well and knows what you like/need but it IS better than ltierally ANY 300 dollar massage I’ve ever gotten at a 5 star resort.

Which isn’t saying much because they are usually lackluster but in SOME AREAS it is just as good as human touch. I do wish this would get certain areas a little bit deeper (particularly the shoulder) and the airbags honestly feel like they do little to my arms (and I have oversized arms) but all in all it is an absolute stellar product.

I bought this as a surprise Christmas gift for my husband. Oh my gosh! It is WONDERFUL! I read really great reviews for it beforehand, but now I see first-hand how amazing it really is! You have your choice of shiatsu, kneading, fingertip massage, and more.

You can add heat, pick comfort levels (comfort, relax, energy etc) and so much more! The air compression of the arms and calves is wonderful! The foot massage is my favorite, with many levels but most of all, I’ll tell you it feels better than a professional massage.

The zero gravity portion of it has you reclined fully, and it reads you before it starts to determine correct positioning for your neck and shoulders. The legs are adjustable, which is great since I’m barely over 5 feet tall and the husband is over 6 feet! The chair itself is very well made and comes completely put together! There are wheels on one end, so you can lift and move it if you need to fairly easily.

The chair is heavy, stylish and quite comfortable. My only complaint is I wish the remote was backlit, as it is hard to read without a light on. However, it doesn’t take too long to figure it out (kind of like a TV remote!) Since we got it right before Christmas, we have used it each at least twice a day! Friends and family have to have a turn too, whenever they’re over for a visit! Great purchase! I’m so glad I did it!.

I’ve been through 3 massage chairs to get to this one which is the perfect chair. My first one was WAY too big, and the next was way to weak with not enough options. This one is great because it has zero gravity and reclines back.

It does it in a way that you can have it very close to the wall (in case you don’t have much space). Mine came in a chocolate brown and has the quality of a larger Infinity Massage Chair. I was very happy with my choice of purchase when I checked out all the settings.

My negative: The only reason I don’t give it a perfect 5 is because it is quite small. I am 6 foot tall and I am about as tall as you should be for this chair. If you are short, THIS CHAIR IS FOR YOU! If you are over 6 foot, just don’t buy this chair, get a different model! I was able to test this chair out a while back at Costco and I loved it then.

I love this chair. It comes already assembled and weighs only 88 lbs. It’s easy to roll on hard floors (impossible on carpeting). I have it in my sun room with tile and it was very easy to maneuver it to that room (I have wood floors).

I like the various choices you can use for a massage. You can select a kneading, rolling, and tapping. I like the full kneading setting. I rarely use the leg vibration selection – it seems to noisy for me.

The chair will stay in the relaxed position when the massage is done unless you turn it off.

I have enjoyed this chair it is a good investment compared to getting a $100. 00 massage. It’s not in my chair was damaged in shipping for costumer service was accident in made the whole process easy.

I would say this chair is not for a larger people I am 5′ 8 and 190 pounds and the chair fits me very well. I had a guest try it and they were not able to fit into the chair. It has a very small footprint in the room and the rocking feature makes you feel weightless.
