20 Best Xbox One Kinect Games For Kids
1. Ubisoft Just Dance 2021 – Xbox One
Game Xbox One & Xbox Series X Microsoft.
NewThe description of this item has been automatically translated.
I have been buying just dance for years now. My favourite system to play them on is Xbox for the Kinect. I find the switch controllers are not as accurate. If your just doing it for fun or to work out it’s not a big deal but if your going for high scores as it feels a bit off.
For the newest 3 games I have it on the switch. I bought a arm/ wrist holder for the controller as I have a disability so I can’t hold the controller in one hand, love this device. Even my friends who can hold it prefer the device.
If u have a switch I think getting the device for this game is a great addition. The other thing I don’t like as much for the 2 new games are the ranking systems. I preferred the number rank over the moving up rooms.
I also miss the video sharing! I do like of the look of the in game world dance though with your score on the side. I’m a huge fan of the add kpop to the games the last couple of years! It was a great addition.
I mean if there was a kpop only just dance I’d buy that in an instance. Other then the few things that I would like changed or didn’t like, I really like this game and will continue to support the just dance games.
Its great with friends and just to get a good work out or just for people who enjoy dancing. I like in the 2022 how some of the new songs got some cool graphics update!.
I haven’t owned a Just Dance game since the original Wii, and I was obsessed with it then. I was excited to buy it and thought it would a great family activity do with my kids. For starters, I’m glad I bought it when it was on super sale, if I had paid full price I would have been upset.
You only get 53 songs with the game itself, technically less since some of those songs are just harder versions you unlock once you beat the easy version. Most of those songs aren’t popular hits or recognizable.
You can’t even use the coins earned in game to unlock new songs. If you want access to the full library or recognizable songs you have to pay for a subscription service (24hr, 3month or 12months). The description says it comes with unlimited for free for a month, it does not.
It only offers 7 days. Does have a kids section which is nice, but not great. You can play with friends locally, but not via online multi-player. Why they haven’t made that possible is beyond me. If you like to dance and don’t mind adding yet another subscription service to your ever growing list of subscriptions, by all means buy this game.
But wait until it drops to the below $20 price or is available in a bogo offer, otherwise, don’t waste your time or money.
This is my first Just Dance game since the Nintendo Wii. It’s hard to believe, but this game is actually worse than the Wii version from nearly 15 years ago. The biggest gripe I have is the controller.
Having to use a smartphone is a terrible idea. I’m not crazy about putting my $1,000+ smartphone into duty as a game controller for my kids. Luckily I have an old phone I could dust off for this purpose, but this is still really awkward.
I also find the hard-sell of the subscription service to be a bit much. You buy the PS5, you buy this game, it all costs a fair bit. Then you have Ubisoft with its palm out asking for even more money for a subscription service if you want more than the handful of songs that comes with the game itself.
I don’t know, man. It’s still a fun game but these shortcomings are a disappointment. I’m shocked that the PS5 version of this game is not as good as the one I played on Wii all those years ago.

It makes a great door stop! If you enjoy games from the 20th Century, you will love this. Gameplay and controls are sloppy. Graphics are weak. To be honest I stop playing after an hour. It’s definitely worth $5.
It has an art style like Monty Python. Having fun with the game. The controls will need time getting used to. Practice will be necessary. Hours of enjoyment and laughter. The obstacles can be challenging and frustrating (memorization is key).

Unicorn Princess (Xbox One Games) Enter the worlds of fantasy and reality in a new family friendly game, The Unicorn Princess. In The Unicorn Princess, you will get to experience both real life as a horse rider and your dream world as a princess in this open world game of horses and unicorns.
Customize your character and your horses with multiple different outfits and accessories. Join your horse and unicorn in 15 different missions throughout the main story!.
If you are purchasing for a child, then please consider the pros and cons. Pros: Kids LOVE to groom the horses. Able to customize character(hair and clothing)/riding equipment. Cons: Poor graphics(like PS1 graphics)/cheesy voice acting.
Only consists of “good deed quests” during Present and races/combing fields for items in the Dream World. You can’t go to the Dreamworld freely even after finishing the game. If your child hates having to find anything IRL they will probably get easily frustrated with this game.
Overall it was boring and predictable. It was performing the same tasks about 10 times in a row. There was so much more that could have been done.
Bought this for our 5 yr old; Ive played games since I was a kid and found this boring with janky controls. She couldnt hardly move around without the game bugging. It looks like a students project that never reached the beta phase and just went into production.
It served more of a purpose in my trash can than it ever did as a game.

I got this game yesterday and it’s a blast! Everything works very well, there are a few hiccups, but overall it’s very awesome. You will need a pretty good amount of room to play most of these games however.
Wake Racing can be played sitting down, the others all require standing. Soccer and bowling are my favorites, Rock Climbing is a pain because I am too tall and the Kinect has issues seeing my feet and arms above my head at the same time, perhaps I can move the Kinect to fix this.
All of the games control very well, there are a few moves that the Kinect simply doesn’t register though. Excellent game, the tutorials are lame though and you MUST complete ALL of them to unlock each game, once the games are unlocked you can play any of them you want.
You need a Kinect for this game, it maybe an old game but its so much fun for all the family. Shame Microsoft stop developing games for the Kinect. Good game play, fun and competitive game play with friends / family.
I really wanted to love this game, but I just do not. The 360 kinect games were more fun because you had to actual do more work, where this one seems much easier. While the graphics are better and it reads your body better, I do not feel like I am getting as much out of the kinect/game as I could.
The only one that makes me feel like I have done anything is the rock climbing, which I will admit is a lot of fun. Would i buy the kinect for this game? No way.

This game would be great if the technology was better! It’s never recognizes us it’s always stoping or not working because it can’t see the player! Would be fun if we could play it for longer than 5 min! And if it would recognize that we are doing the correct moves that would be great too! My children get really frustrated while playing if these bugs could be worked out I would give it a higher rating!.
The coolest dance experience for kids is back, just dance kids 2014 is now on kinect for Xbox360. Featuring over 30 fun and crazy dance routines to kids favorite songs, including hits from today’s most popular artists, tv shows and movies.

Kids can create custom playlists for endless fun. Play with up to 4 players.
This Wii game offers a pretty good variety of options for skill level, energy level, and endurance. I purchased it as a Christmas present for my four-year-old son, who loves dancing and music. It has been a great way for us to spend time together doing something active during the winter days when it is too cold to get outside and be active.
We don’t even bother to use the controller and use the “just dance” option to maximize our fun. Love it. Video quality is a bit grainy on our hi-def TV, otherwise this would be a five-star review.
Gather your friends and family and Just Dance like nobody’s watching with Just Dance 2020! The #1 Music Video Game Franchise of All Time, with over 67 million units sold, is back this fall. The newest, freshest Just Dance celebrates 10 years of bringing people together with 40 new hot tracks, more stunning universes and exclusive surprises for the players to discover! Join a community of more than 120 million players around the world and get ready to set the dancefloor on fire.
Whether there’s something to celebrate or for no reason at all, Just Dance is there for every occasion!.
I like the transition of the Just Dance games to the switch. This introduced a big game changer for me, the subscription feature. Although it’s not ideal to lay extra the 2 dollars is worth the unlocked feature of all the previous game songs.
My older games have been lost, scratched and borrowed to not be returned so this feature saves me lots time, money, and effort that came with keeping the older versions. Plus they upload the remastered versions of the older songs.
I use this with the Nintendo Switch. I’m single, an adult, live alone with no kids and I love this game as exercise! It’s not just for little kids or for playing with other people, you can play alone and have lots of fun doing it! It gives you a workout that is so fun you dont even notice how long you’ve been exercising.
Unlike with the treadmill, where every second is torture for me lol, this is fun, easy exercise and you burn so many calories. Everyday I just put this on, choose songs I like, and before I even notice I’ve been exercising for an hour and have burned hundreds of calories! My watch tracks my exercise/calories and it considers every minute I’m dancing as an exercise minute.
The extra add on, Just Dance Unlimited, is a decent price for a year and it’s totally worth it because it gives you a whole catalogue of songs instead of just the 40 in your game. It costs companies a lot of money to have the rights to use songs in their games which is why you have to pay for the service of unlimited songs.
The add on price (around $25 for Switch users I think?) is way better cheaper than a gym membership.
This is my first time with “Just Dance” and I absolutely love it! I do wish there were more and better songs but there’s still a lot of songs and dances I do love! I tried the demo last year and loved it so much we purchased the game.
Even over a year later I’m still loving it and love that it’s fun and I can get a workout in! I wish there was a way to do the online feature where we could dance against someone one on one (done in our own homes and own systems but the same song/dance where we compete for the high score).
I’d love some changes and updates in the newer versions but overall I am very happy and continue to play this game multiple times a week.
With Kinect Sesame Street TV, children are invited to experience the world of Sesame Street alongside their favorite characters such as big bird, Grover, cookie monster and Elmo like never before. The magic of Kinect for Xbox 360 lets you share in the experience through visual and physical interactions with characters of Sesame Street, placing you in the Sesame Street experience.
My son is almost 3 and it wouldn’t hold his attention there is not much to do. Its basically like watching the show with a little interaction. You watch a regular episode and every couple minuets u point at the screen and say picture and it takes a picture of you.
Then the next episode u have a little more interaction the next episode is like the first one they just alternate. I was waiting for there to be more interaction considering its two discs but it didn’t happen the first episode is just as interactive as the last.
But if you want a long dvd(which this pretty much is) this is a good price there are a lot of episodes. But as a game not fun at all.
We bought this for my 3yr old. She uses/plays it all by herself and loves it. It’s sort of like a story telling game- the characters are acting out a little story, and then the “game player” interacts w it.
So, it’s not constant action. My 3yr old will interact. sit down and listen, then we have to tell her she needs to stand up for the Kinect to “see” her playing. So, that’s the only downside- she gets bored in between the interacting sections.
I am ecstatic with the purchase as well as my grand daughter that I got it for. The installation and basic guide lines are easy to do and understand. Grand daughter is 3 years old and took to the Sesame Street format and nuances very well and has enjoyed the interactive style with awe.
Dance to your own beat with Just Dance 2019, the ultimate dance game featuring 40 hot tracks from chart-topping hits to family favorites, including “Havana” by Camila Cabello, “Bang Bang Bang” by BIGBANG, “No Tears Left To Cry” by Ariana Grande, and many more! Experience eight exclusive choreographies created with the help of kids’ development experts to encourage healthy movement.
Featuring seasonal and special-event content for an even more dynamic experience on a new curated homepage. Use your smartphone to track moves – no Kinect Sensor needed! Up to six players can play together.
When we buy something we expect to only pay for it once. This game not only expects you to pay twice, but requires the buyer to continue to pay for a subscription or lose the vast majority of the songs.
We bought this game expecting a good variety of songs that the whole family would enjoy. What we found was very little variety at all, and a huge subscription-lock on most of the songs we were looking forward to.
We are bombarded with messages telling us to purchase a subscription and constantly shown the songs that we can’t play, making the family even more unhappy with this game. The subscription is $25 for just a year of play, more than the game itself cost at the time of our purchase.
Before purchasing this game we had played Just Dance 4 for years and greatly enjoyed it, both the wide variety of genres and the process of unlocking more and more free songs. If any extra songs were purchased they were ours for good, no risk of losing them, so we were expecting a similar element alongside the optional subscription.
Not so. The only way to play the song you want is to pay for them all, again and again.
Ok even though this is 3 years old, we still play it on the switch. It’s fun for the whole family or just a single person. It’s great exercise as well! Just make sure you have a lot of area to move around in.
I was excited to get this game for my daughter’s Just Dance collection for Christmas. I was going to get Just Dance 2018 since she doesn’t have that one either, but I saw the preview of this game and selected Just Dance 2019 instead.
However, when we went to play the game it was sort of disappointing. I mean don’t get me wrong we knew a few of the songs even found some of the oddball ones dancing very interesting, but I would be lying if I said I didn’t wonder even more about Just Dance 2018.
This was our least favorite Just Dance year game. Can’t wait for the next year!!.
Turn your living room into a world-class stadium, bowling alley, football pitch or track-and-field arena. With Kinect Sports you’re not only the star player, you are the controller – through the magic of Kinect for Xbox 360.
See a ball? Kick it. Spike it. Bump it. Even give it a little topspin. Simple, intuitive and instantly fun, Kinect Sports delivers the ultimate party experience – whether you are trying to beat the keeper in football or cheering on your friends at ringside.
The first full-body, controller-free sports game that lets you physically compete with friends over Xbox Live, Kinect Sports is so real, you will almost feel the wind in your hair as you fly over hurdles and the sand in your toes as you set, bump and spike your way to volleyball victory.
The game play is addictive! You can really immerse yourself in each game. I bought this for the bowling but I’ve really enjoyed each game as well. It’s just like being in the bowling alley without spending the money to rent shoes and a Lane! Great family fun when you’re not able to get to your nearest bowling alley, soccer field etc.
If you love interactive and physical games that place you in the zone, then I recommend this one.
First, I must say I write with a disclaimer (To each his own). Although this was THE funnest game I have played on Kinect so far, everyone has their own opinion. I bought it because I love being athletic in real life so therefore I love simulating this on the game.
It is an outstanding workout if played on difficult levels. However, I have hurt myself pushing myself to the limit trying to best leaderboards on the internet. There is alot of repetitive movement on the same joints and muscles so just know your limits.
I love the fact that I can literally have the same feeling as I did when I ran track (as in exhausting my body out, pushing it further and further). I love the variety of games but track and field is my favorite.
The delay causes some interesting ways of dealing with false starts and fouls. I dislike some of the failed tracking of my movement. Some games I feel as though I have mirrored my last movement and the object goew awry.
Bowling might be the easiest but one of the toughest as far as mastering the subtle movements which can cause a strike or a gutter ball. Adding on the mini games was a plus. I can say in all honesty I though I wouldn’t like every game but I have played every game and loved them all from table tennis, to boxing, to volley ball.
This is just a great way to have an active party amongst friends and family if you have the space.
Kinect Sports really makes the Kinect shine. The games are really enjoyable and if you really go for it can seriously burn the calories too. Motion tracking is first class and each sport sees your X-box avatar dressed accordingly.
A great little bonus occurs every time you do something cool in each sport like score in football, get a smash is table tennis or a strike in 10 pin bowling – you get blasted with a few seconds of original music from some classic up-tempo, kicking rock or pop anthem.
If you think you’ve played these same games on the Wii and so have skipped Kinect Sports then believe me you haven’t played these games yet. I have both and Kinect Sports surpasses in all areas. If nothing else you get to conduct an entire stadium full of adoring fans simply by pointing at them or holding both hands above your head.
With “Kinect Sesame Street TV,” children are invited to experience the world of Sesame Street alongside their favorite characters, such as Big Bird, Grover, Cookie Monster and Elmo, like never before.
The magic of Kinect for Xbox 360 allows players to share in the experience through visual and physical interactions with characters of Sesame Street, placing you in the Sesame Street experience. Children can interact with their favorite Sesame Street characters on screen to help them with tasks, play in their world and learn together.

“Kinect Sesame Street TV” is just one of the new playful learning experiences available for Kinect for Xbox 360 that provide children and families with entirely new ways to learn while having fun and being entertained through interactive TV.
Kinect Sesame Street TV is fantastic for our two year old. Although the interactive episodes are still a bit too old for her, she absolutely loves the fact that she can watch Sesame Street songs and clips anytime.
There is now a regular ring of ‘Elmo TV’, ‘cookie TV’ through the house, that I suspect will only get worse when she figures out the games which even I have found fun to play through.
Kinect Sesame Street TV are the kind of games that the Kinect is good for. Help by teaching your kids while they interact and have fun while playing – good series of episodes which you can download more through Xbox live.
Explore the World and Beyond! Kinect Adventures will get you off the couch and into the game in a whole new way. You and your friends and family will jump, dodge, and kick your way through 20 pulse-pounding adventures set in exotic locations.
Work together as you navigate through roaring rapids, challenge obstacle courses or save a leaky underwater laboratory. Show off and share your accomplishments online with Photo Moments and Living Statues.
Kinect. where to start? Guess we will start with set up and installation, which was very easy. Quick start instructions are simple to read and took about 5 minutes from opening of box to start up. Kinect is great for all ages! I have kids that range from 2 to 12 and they all have friends and family that come and go.
Dance games are the favorite around here but there are plenty of action and adventure games available as well as role play and exercise. The younger kids find the Kinect simple to use because most of the time they can see themselves on the tv and they know what they are doing.
The older kids enjoy trying to out due each other on dancing or sports like games. Very interactive! Alot of fun for families and individuals! Graphics Quality Graphics are good. Not as advanced as maybe Playstation graphics but still worth it.
Game Variety Plenty of games available. Sports and action/adventure to story telling and dancing. Controller Comfort Kinect allows you to play without the controller and the sensor is pretty good with picking up movement and people.
In some games it will also tell you if there are people in the way that aren’t supposed to be there. A little difficult for younger kids to use (mine are 2 and 4) but they have since figured it out. Ease of Use Easy to use.
turn it on and it senses movement and people. Durability We have had ours a little over a year and have had no issues with it.
The Kinect is a huge step up from the motion sensor that comes with the Wii. That being said – It’s painfully slow, Requires a ton of open space to properly play, and doesn’t always register your motion properly.
Graphics Quality The graphics for the games I have played for the Kinect have always been rather good. Game Variety Sort of like the Wii where it’s a bit one sided in the variety of games they offer but at least Microsoft, the creators of the Kinect, aren’t afraid to branch out and try something different in terms of variety.
Controller Comfort Can get rather tiresome having to constantly swing your hands back and forth. Very easy to get out of breath while playing it. Ease of Use Some what slow to pick up your motions and to perform actions you want to perform, Sort of gets on your nerves at times.
Even then it doesn’t always register properly. Durability Despite being a little bulky, The Kinect comes off as really fragile. Like one good fall and it’s done for. That’s why you have to be super careful where you place it when you are looking to play.
I love my Kinect. I use it to play video games on my Xbox 360 console and complete the physical education requirements for my school. I can even burn calories and fat during the winter when I don’t like to go outside and do much physical activity.
I use it to play games like boxing, tennis, volleyball, basketball, soccer, football. I use this as my primary method of completing physical activity during the winter. Graphics Quality I don’t know that this item has graphics quality so I am using this area to rate the recognition of my movements when I use this product.
Game Variety I like all of the games that Kinect allows me to play on my Xbox 360 console. I especially like Kinect Sports, and Motionsports. Controller Comfort Not Applicable. I do not have to hold a controller.
I love the idea of a hands free video gaming system. Ease of Use I have issues with it recognizing all of my movements. I have rated this area lower because of this. Durability The item has been adjusted many times, and it is still working.
If family fun is for you then step right INTO Carnival Games: Monkey See Monkey Do! Enjoy 20 exciting games and attractions designed exclusively for Kinect for Xbox 360. Bring the controller-free full-body experience to life as you take a dip in the Shark Tank go for a raucous ride on Gold Rush Mountain have a Cotton-Eyed Joe dance-off with the Monkey Barker and more! Voice recognition technology allows The Amazing Wodin a wily wizard to reveal your future tell you a riddle or two and present you with a personal wizard name.
Interactive prizes and surprises abound including flying pets and wacky wearables.
This is definitely a young persons game, light involvement with the interaction. Very happy with product, my young children will enjoy it immensely! It is not overly involved for their short attention spans, but encourages further focus.
The occasional, derogatory words from the “carny man”, I find inappropriate. can be oversited I suppose. The game itself is crazy!!! If you are a very protective mom like myself, reconsider this product.
but is definitely a great beginner for focus with Kinect and getting those kids off the couch!!!.
This game is soooo much fun for the entire family. As an adult, I enjoyed some of the nostalgic games of Carnival Games: MSMD. Some of the games include darts, pig race, roller coaster ride, etc. There are a multitude of games to choose from for various ages.
This game is very realistic, and at times, too realistic. For instance, you really have to concentrate on winning the contests against the other CPU players during solo missions. However, that does not take away from the overall enjoyment of its platform.
I even got a workout as my upper body was very sore the following day after playing this game for 45 minutes. My nieces and nephews have not come over to play this game with me yet, but I’m sure once they do they’ll be calling me their favorite aunt:).
Loved it I just keep playing this game over and over and over and over and over and over and over you no what I mean jelly bean my kids love the darn game to freakin little dirt bags gotta lovem just wait till your dirt bag kids play this game bdjdh nxhdidodndndDdff f f f.

Experience a unique combination of branching stories, innovative combat, and classic RPG excitement in Cris Tales’ exciting and unforgettable exploration of how our actions echo through time.
This is a tough one. This game is really great. It really is. It’s a gorgeous turn-based RPG with a very unique style, a brilliant past/present/future mechanic, amazing characters, solid story line. There’s is such a great game here IF you are willing to deal with a couple things.
First the load times are long. Not just long on cut scenes, but long on the random encounters that pop up while traveling thru the game. So you’re going to dealing with long loads a LOt. 2nd the game has a very high learning curve/difficulty.
Which is great! But when you couple that with long/frequent load times – you are looking at a lot of people that are going to abandoned this game before making it very far at all. Tough to score really.
It’s an easy 5 star game without these issues stacking up; but what we have here due to the technical issues is a 3 star game in a 4 star games shell. It really is absolutely gorgeous, and well developed otherwise.
The good: – Interesting battle system. – Some strong character design on some of the cast. The bad: – I haven’t seen load times this bad since the PS1 days. Also suffers from some game crashing bugs.
– The story, town, world map, and environments are quite bland. – Not a fan of real world politics being placed in games from either side of the political spectrum. Ultra-left views (communism), groups (Antifa), and symbolism (BLM posters) are glorified.
The verdict: – I was really looking forward to this one since it was revealed in 2019 at E3. One of the most disappointing games I’ve ever played and may be the first game I’ve returned for a refund due to the abnormal loading times and a few bugs.
Time mechanic was intriguing but under utilized. Art style was catchy. Colors were bright. Story didn’t get tedious. Side missions were interesting and effected story not mindless fetch quests. Played on games pass but bought switch version for collection.

Escape the Ink demon. Fear the machine. The secrets of Bendy and the Ink Machine are about to come to life.
Bought this game because my grandson talked so much about it an has all the Bendy plus toys an figures. The game is very addicting! You find all the missing parts you need in the ink factory to open new doors an complete chapters in the game.
The game is a bit scary for my 6 year old grandson an have to say I even jumped a couple of times myself as things jump out at you an chase you. The haunting music doesn’t help either lol, so I would recommend for ages 10 an up.
We have this game for the Playstation 4. It’s so much fun. My son loves bendy and the ink machine. He even has the toy plushies and loves playing with them while gaming it up. This game is spooky but fun for the family to play.
My son and my husband and myself all play this together. We are huge BATIM fans! We completed the entire game. It’s loads of fun! It’s kinda like the dark Disney Mickey mouse version. We can’t wait for the 2nd game to release!.
