20 Best Women’S Walking Shoes With Wide Toe Box (2022 Updated)
Some factors to consider when choosing walking shoes with a wide toe box for women include the width of the foot, the type of arch, and the level of support needed. Those with wider feet may need a shoe with a wider toe box to accommodate their foot size, while those with high arches may need a shoe with more support.
Ultimately, it is important to choose a shoe that is comfortable and provides the necessary support for the individual’s foot.

With wide feet, plus arthritis, it’s difficult to find shoes that fit properly. I also have custom inserts. so thankful my Doctor recommended you to me. Purchased the Verve Tie-Less shoes in black, some ankle boots, a pair of sandals, and slippers.
and I love them all! My custom inserts work great and are a quick change out. So happy with my purchases and have already recommended them to my daughter. Thanks for providing such a great product!.
My feet have hurt all summer no matter what shoes I’d wear, mostly sandals. The weather is getting cooler now so I started wearing my new Otho shoes. O m g what a difference. I put them on at 6:30 a m , wear them til About 8:00 p m.
My feet don’t hurt at all!! It’s amazing. I will definitely buy more and get rid of all my old shoes.
A few days after ordering my Verve sneakers, I fell in my kitchen thanks to an unseen greasy dog bone on the floor. My only injury was a couple of broken bones in my right hand – my shoes arrived the next day! What a blessing to have a supportive, comfortable pair of shoes that are so easy to put on! I am thrilled as I always am with my orthofeet shoes!.

Reviews From Real Customers
This is NOT a mesh running shoe or fashion shoe. This is a leather walking shoe targeted toward walkers, workers, those who must be on their feet long hours and those who suffer with hip pain, knee pain and sciatica.
The V2 has an air bubble in the insole that travels as your foot strikes from the heel, rolls to the toe and pushes off to the next step. It is shock absorbing and energizing. The toe box is deep and wide, great for my bunions, without being too wide in the heel.
The leather protects against damp grass and wipes clean easily while the perforations ventilate so that my feet don’t get too warm. It does not look at stuffy and dowdy as I feared (just because I am a granny doesn’t mean I want to look like one) and the blue gray N logo on the side adds a subtle touch of style.
The laces also add a touch of style with the gray accents, and since they are flat and thin, they stay tied better than round laces. The padded tongue and collar add another touch of plush comfort. Well worth the price!.
I have worn this particular shoe for 2 years solely as a walking shoe. It really needed to be replaced so I was excited to see this shoe is still made. I was able to order the size I have been wearing and it fits perfectly.
But. sadly, New Balance chose to put a cheap padding in the shoe compared to what came in the shoes I have been wearing for 2 years. Fortunately, the padding is removable from the shoes I already have, so I took it out and slipped it into the new shoes.
It’s not a real thick padding but enough to make a difference compared to the new pair. I feel that New Balance went a little cheap on this shoe only with the padding. Other than that, great supportive lightweight shoe.
I tend to wear a narrower size but the medium shoe fits me fine with socks.
I received these the other day, I was so looking forward to them I’ve been wearing new balance sneakers for decades. When I ordered these I expected them to be the same as they’ve always been made. When I was in expecting them, I noticed they’re not made as well as they have been in the past, shoe is extremely narrow in length and width.
The tongue is extremely narrow and sits underneath the lease holes and causes added pressure, the shoe laces are so thin if you pull them too hard they going to break. I’m very disappointed on the amount of material they have cut back on, so I find new balance is skimping on the product regardless of what the description says.
They run extremely small I wear a size 8 wide and they were so tight in length and width.

Reviews From Real Customers
I have been wearing 928 V3s now for a few years when not at work. I find the shoes fit well, are comfortable, functional and reasonably attractive in any setting. They feel great no matter what I am doing.
(Walking around town, working on my boat or car, going for nature hike, or just hanging out at home. ) I like the padding because it makes it easy to stand for long periods of time. (I have a standing desk at home, and there are times when I am standing at the desk for 8-12 hours a day, which is less appealing in a less comfortable pair of shoes.
) I don’t really use them anymore for anything “athletic,” but I used to wear them at the gym. All the 928s that I have bought over the years last a long time, even if they begin to look a little ratty.
(When they start getting really dirty, I use them for dirtier activities. ) I keep an extra pair in my car so that if I want to change out of more “formal” shoes after work, I can do that easily. The soles also have the right balance between soft and durable.
I started buying 928s after the New Balance/Sperry boat shoe was discontinued. (To this day, I think the New Balance/Sperry model boat shoe is my favorite, though the soles wore down quickly because the rubber was so soft.
) Because of what I presume were supply chain problems couldn’t find 928s in the blueish/gray color in my size for 2 months. I checked the New Balance website daily, sometimes twice a day. When they were finally available in my size and color, I pounced.
(I was going to buy 2 pairs anyway, but as I was making the purchase the website said there were only two pairs left, so I didn’t buy some other items I was thinking of buying out of fear that someone else might beat me to the last two pair in my size.
).
Previous to these shoes, I have been wearing the MW813 walking shoe for several years and was disappointed by the poor life and performance of PU-Leather (plastic leather substitute) used for the entire upper of the 813.
I was pleased to find that the MW928 v3 had leather uppers and foot bed style of the well fitting 813 while improving comfort and durability. The 928 v3 is a comfortable shoe and supports well while walking on streets and other paved surfaces.
It felt “broken in” from first use. Seems true to size. Due to the flat sole design I would not recommend it for trail use. It is a nicely styled lace-up, and will work with “business casual” in most cases as an all-day shoe.
Since the uppers are leather they can be kept smart-looking with a little shoe polish, something that doesn’t work with PU-Leather shoes. Soles have reasonable wet grip on moderately smooth surfaces.
Not sure of sole wear since they are new to me. One issue I had with them were the extra long shoe laces they came with. Although many modern synthetic laces stretch with time, these were so long I had to cut 10″ off them to keep the ends from dragging on the ground and tripping myself be stepping on them after my first walk.
It appears that a 44″ lace would be much better. Cost is considerably higher than the MW813, but if they wear better, the higher price will be worth it.
I am an old guy and I wanted a pair of good quality, solid footware that would give me good support and slip resistance for simply walking and doing light chores. I had a pair of shoes that met most of these goals but I was getting sick and tired of having to constantly worry about loose shoe laces not only because of the inconvenience they presented but, more importantly, because of the tripping threat.
When you are my age you don’t want to add to your chances of falling. I found what I was looking for on line. I had already looked for similar shoes in several stores but couldn’t find them. These New Balance shoes fit great and had everything I was looking for.
And, I especially liked the set up with the Velcro straps that can be trimmed to avoid catching on things. I put a little polish on them and they buffed up nice. They may not be the flashiest shoes I ever owned but they are solid footware for guys like me.
Thanks New Balance!.

First found SAS when I broke my left foot and spent several months in casts and splints. I had always worn Florsheim shoes, but no longer could find any of that brand or any of numerous other brands comfortable.
One salesperson asked if I had tried SAS. I said I didn’t even know the brand. He fitted me and suggested I take them home and wear them on carpeted floors for the evening, bringing them back the next day.
Wow. Comfortable. Wearable. Attractive. I went back the next day, reported on the phenomenal experience, paid for the shoes and for the last 28 years have bought at least one pair of shoes each year, brown, black, bone.
Time out and bout time. They are fabulous. They wear very well, always look clean, neat and in good repair. The inner sole is worth its weight in gold. I have recommened SAS to many people and especially for folks like myself who are now diabetic.
Only frustration is that with the new pair, for the first time, no extra set of laces were included. SAS laces are the best, last a long time, but are difficult to replace.
I have four pairs of men’s Time Out shoes. They are the first shoes ever that needed no break-in. The leather is soft, the fitting is fine. The shine appears to remain weeks after I started wearing them.
I would hope that SAS would make the leather shoes in navy color, but so far no. Only the sneakers are navy.
Very disappointed. Wore shoes to work and my foot was killing me by the end of the day. The right shoe was so tight across the top of my foot where the seam is, that even with it loosened all the way did not help at all.
It caused extreme discomfort while the other was super loose. And since I have worn them, I most likely can’t return. What a waste of all that money on shoes I won’t ever wear again! I would give zero if I could.

I bought this shoe in size 10 double wide, color Nero which is a gray/black suede. This color is a neutral that is not as noticeable as a solid color would be in an athletic type shoe like this. I wear them for dress shoes with pants.
If they don’t match in exact color with the pants, that is okay with me. It needed some break-in time. They feel more narrow than Free Time. They look more like a dressy shoe than Free Time, though. I had Free Time previous to the pair I recently purchased and they fit well with no break-in time and the pair I bought recently is the same.
I am glad I have both, but if someone is just starting out with SAS shoes looking for comfort first in a walking shoe I would recommend Free Time. I bought Free Time in charcoal suede, and the two pairs look a lot like each other.
I like that SAS has unusual colors in their shoes now, so that they can blend well with more colors of clothing.
Note this review is ONLY applicable for people who have to wear plastic custom insoles for foot problems. My insoles scrape against the side of the shoe, producing an embarrassing noise every step I take.
I have been wearing plastic insoles for decades and with other shoes I have either put baby powder in the shoes a few times or used Vaseline around the edges of the insoles a few times and either one of those will solve the problem permanently.
Not with these shoes! I have tried both solutions multiple times and still get the noise! Don’t know what is different about these particular shoes, as I have been wearing SAS for about 20 years.
I’m still not sure whether I want to keep my new Walk Easy shoes. I needed a walking shoe a bit longer than my previous shoes. But I have extremely narrow heels. I bought the size 8. 5 Slim. Unfortunately, with every increase in length, the SAS shoes increase slightly in width.
So now my toes have space, but, with every step, my heels slip in the shoes. I do like the shorter tongue, as compared with the “Tour” style. (Now I’m thinking the “Freetime” style may be the best compromise.
).

I have had one other pair of New Balance shoes in the past, and true to form, these fit me as well as my previous pair. I have developed plantar ficiatis and have had excruciating pain in my feet upon waking and first walking, I recently purchased another well known name brand of shoe, 2 different styles because so many people raved about how comfortable they were, they weren’t cheap either, and they both hurt my feet and made them feel even worse after removing them.
When I saw these New Balance shoes on sale here at Shopko, wanting to go back to this brand, I took a chance and purchased them, I was able to use a coupon making them an even better deal. Ohhhh the difference these have made, my feet are beyond comfortable, these shoes feel good upon putting them on AND my feet aren’t hurting by the end of the day or after when I take them off.
I am not having to use an orthotic insole either. I also noticed that my feet are not hurting as bad in the morning when I first get out of bed, if this keeps up, I’m certain that most, if not all of my foot pain is behind me now.
This might not be the miracle shoe for everyone, but for me, I consider them a miracle! There was no “break in” period, they felt great from the beginning. They run true to size, I wear an 8. 5 wide (D) My ONLY complaint is that plastic security tag that has to be cut off by the customer, I understand needing security from thieves, but I was not happy having to remove it myself, it should be removed by the cashier upon payment.
This is no reflection on the shoe though.
These are fantastic shoes for walking. I had a back injury and traveled for the first time in several years. My concern was feeling stable enough to walk–just walk–but with these I felt like my old self.
They did not trigger my back, knee or leg injuries AT ALL. I recommend them, even if you have been told to wear soft soles due to injury, ask your doc to look at these, as I did. and though the soles aren’t easily “foldable” they are fantastic for feeling supported in arch and sole of foot.
I loved them. I changed my entire wardrobe to be able to wear them for most events in a week of work in of all places, Vegas. They are not as attractive as the smaller leaner shoe, which I also bought, but these are my go to pair most of the time since purchase.
LOVE. Also I have long toes, and this footbed made room for them without looking ridiculous. Perfect.
Sadly, this shoe didn’t work out for me at all. My heel immediately slipped out if the back even when I tried a medium width instead of the normal wide width I usually wear to accommodate a bunion I have on my left foot.
When I tried the medium and walked a few steps in it, it squeezed my bunion, and I actually sprained the tendon under my big toe! I bought the wide width, 10D, and tried them on at home. I could tell right away that they did not have the proper support, my heel kept slipping out, and I was headed for more pain with these shoes.
Fortunately, Academy’s return policy and customer service are excellent, and I returned them. I ended up with a much sturdier, more supportive shoe that you can only get at the New Balance store. I wish academy would carry the higher-quality NB walking shoes like they used to.

I ordered these shoes for my wife. She suffers from plantar fasciitis, but has had zero flair ups while wearing these shoes. The Propet Walker Evolution is her go to shoe for outdoor use, while a Propet slipper is her preferred indoor footwear.
Between the walker and the slipper, she says her feet feel better than they have in years. The shoe was advertised as breathable and it lives up to the advertisement. The size ran true and she likes the way they look.
No complaints and no issues.
I bought these sneakers for my daughter (she, admittedly did the research) who works an average of 8 to 10 hours on her feet; and, she couldn’t be happier with her choice! They are super comfy and cute with plenty of support; and, the fact that they are washable is a terrific feature.
These sneakers are worth every dollar!!.
First off these sneakers run large. I ordered my usual size and they were too big. I put insoles in and they fit well but there is no arch support. Hurt my feet ankels and knees. I couldnt walk after 4 days.
I also slipped in them tqice on wet floor and they make a sticky sound on dry floor. DSW’s system does not recognize my email through their own email to me on my order. Dissapointed with DSW and these sneakers.

Reviews From Real Customers
I like these 840 shoes, they are a great casual shoe, and black goes with any outfit. i wanted all-black They’re my “daily driver”. I also find them to be very cushioning–I feel like I could run in them.
They seem to be a neutral shoe (don’t lean toward pronators or supinators). I need a wide toebox and these shoes provide that. Also I have a narrow heel; sometimes wide shoes have too wide of heels for me.
but these 840’s seem to grip my heel just fine. Overall, I’ve had success with multiple New Balance shoes — because I always look for their models that are 1) running shoes; 2) cushioning; 3) neutral; 4) wide-width.
The only company that provides better toebox is Altra, but their cushioning is inferior to New Balance and might lead to knee deterioration. I did notice that my feet get hot on some days. perhaps because the 840 shoes are solid material instead of the 680’s netting.
The solid material protects against ticks; but the New Balance shoes with some netting in the toes are less hot.
The New Balance MW840 WT2 (White 2) appears to actually be identical to the MW840 V2 shoe. I have read reviews of the Version 2 of this show where people complained about the smaller toe box than the original version, so I always steered clear of buying the Version 2.
I have a pair of the original Version 1 of this show with very roomy toe box. I ordered this MW840 WT2 thinking that it was an alternative white color to the plain MW840 WT. So I was a bit concerned when I received the shoes and realized they had the smaller toe box of the Version 2.
Luckily, after wearing the shoes for several days, they turned out to be a very good fit for me. The to box is narrower than the Version 1, but I think it is just as high, so my toes don’t rub against the inner top of the shoe, and the toe box width seems to be just right for me.
So if you have worn the Version 1 of this shoe and found it to be comfortable, it will depend on your individual foot whether or not the smaller toe box in the Version 2 will work for you.
These had much less support than my old original NB 840 Walking Shoe!! In the new 840v2 when I walked the arch portion would sink down so obviously cheaply made there. And the sole is not anything like the original.
It’s thinner. And why is it not white? It’s a very light grey. But it cannot hold a candle to the original 840 no way no how. NB why have you taken such a low road? Going back.

Bought these for everyday walks. I have been wearing the 847V3 size 8 extra wide for several years. First I tried the 840V5 in my size but had to return them because they were too tight, the tongue was too long and the shoelaces too short.
Then I purchased the 840V3 in a larger size( 8 1/2 extra wide) based on my 840V5 experience. They did fit but the inside seam near my small toe was very irritating and I had to return them also. Wish New Balance would bring back the 847V3-a true to size sneaker without any irritation since there is mesh on top of toe area.
By the way at the New Balance store my foot measures 8 normal width but that has never been the case in any sneaker I have purchased. Been wearing New Balance for over 20 years.
the mw840v3, is comfortable, i do have a 4x wide shoe, which i wish alot more shoes and colors were available in 4x wide so iam limited which shoe i can get, i use these shoes every day. so the sole came unglued but i still use them.
in my opinion they do need to put more glue down on the sole so anyone else will not experience the same thing as i did. besides that if you can over look (it is a very good shoe) that it was a 1 in a million that happened.
so i dont blame any one or any machine on this mistake it sometimes happen once in a blue moon. i even walk and run in these shoes the hel takes lot of cursion from the pounding it takes from running.
soo go ahead and buy your self these shoes.
I suffer from plantar fasciitis for more than 5 years. I always purchased cheap and expensive shoes to go to work until I was tired with the pain. I consulted a podiatrist who suggested that I change the shoes that wear to new balance.
Since I purchased this shoes I can say that I see a very big difference. I stil have pain, but very minimal. I get to go to sleep after a long day of work on my feet at ease.

I have flat feet, hammer toes and deep callus on each foot, these are the ONLY shoes I have found that totally eliminate any pain when wearing them. I’m on my feet quite a bit at my job and let me tell you, these are simply amazing to me! I love love love them! They are lightweight yet the support is amazing! My brother in law has the flattest foot I’ve ever seen plus terrible swelling due to heart problems.
He had just purchased $400. 00 insoles when I bragged to him and my sister about my shoes. Well, he ordered a pair exactly like mine only in men’s and, well, you guessed it,. They are now his daily work shoes!!! I simply can’t say enough about how much I love these shoes, thank you Apex for saving my feet! Rose Stepp Virginia.
This is a good product for those of us wearing orthotic inserts. It does have a large, deep toe box. It does, however, look big, more so than the sport shoe by Apex which also accommodates my orthotics.
Perhaps some design feature could make it not appear so big. My more serious concern is that back of the shoe is cut high or deep, the result is that it rubs against the bottom of the inside knob of your ankle.
It gets uncomfortable after a walking a mile or two. I should say I do like the nonskid sole which I find important advantage over most sport shoes including Apex.
These walking sneakers are so amazing. I had terrible Achilles tendinitis, and several years ago I did an internet search for sneakers specifically for this condition and found these. They’ve been a godsend! My orthotics fit in them, a slight lift in the heel, roomy toe box, and comfortable all day.
I swear they’ve even helped improve my tendinitis, I was able to do a few days of walking around Disneyworld with no pain. I’m on my 5th pair, I can’t recommend them more highly!.

I am a longtime waitress looking for good shoes. Shipping is quick. Returns were easy. The shoe runs slightly large, but true to size. These are the most comfortable shoes I’ve owned, even after 9 hr.
shifts. Unfortunately they don’t feel totally slip-resistant on oily-wet floors. I’m still keeping them because comfort like this is hard to find.

I had purchased a pair of Ryka years ago and they fit like a glove and provided so much support. I was so excited when these arrived. After wearing these several weeks my right foot started to bother me.
I took out the insoles and was shocked at the thin layer of foam. There’s no support at all in these shoes. What a huge disappointment. :(.
I’m a repeat customer of Ryka because they are the only shoe that reduces my arch pain. In spite of keeping my toenails trimmed and wearing socks, my toe is always popping through the mesh. This time, I only had the shoes for two weeks when it happened again on both shoes.
Highly disappointing.

These shoes are not very comfortable. I put memory comfort insoles in them to make them feel a little better. The mesh material is scratchy. I am waiting for another shoe brand shoe to arrive. Will still be looking for more choices.
I need slip resistant shoes for work. I stand for 6 hours so I need comfort.
Good shock absorption for my back pain! I like to wear them around the house instead of slippers. I suffer from severe nerve pain aggravated by standing and walking, so it’s important to me. They look great, have moisture and odor control, and are unceasingly comfortable.
True to size.

I ordered 2 boots. 1 expensive, which was what I really wanted, and these, which were just an impulse purchase. These cheaper boots fit much better as they had a more normal width, than does the Storm boots.
The cheaper, MacLeod, boots feel like a cheap boot, and that’s all I expected from them. Ordering was easy and shipment was fast and on time.

Well made shoes that are unbelievably comfortable. I am a nurse and can be on my feet for nearly 12 hours straight. These are the only shoes I have ever found that keep my feet from hurting even on the busiest days.
I also use them for casual use if I know I will be doing a lot of walking. I have been wearing SAS shoes for over 20 years now and have been grateful since that first pair. The quality has been unchanged in all that time.
Not to gush, but these shoes changed my life. Just know that the sizes run large. If you don’t know what size to order from SAS, get sized at one of their stores or look up their measurements. I normally wear a 10 ww, but only 8 1/2 ww SAS shoes.

Reviews From Real Customers
I have had foot problems for decades and searched for shoes that help them not to hurt. It’s a combination of arthritis, gout, and a bad knee. My podiatrist recommended New Balance, but the only ones that worked for me were almost $200 pair.
I didn’t mind paying that every couple of years, but the shoes began wearing out and hurting every three months or so and the fit seemed to be always changing so the shoe didn’t work as well. I’d finally stumbled on another brand of Orthotic Shoes which I liked and were about half the cost of New Balance and worked.
I ended up buying four pair in various styles. The main problem with them is that the heals wore down very quickly and through my gait off, caused an imbalance, which began leading to back issues. I’d about given up hope, then discovered this shoe.
They seem to be very well made, light, with more padding than any of the other shoes I’ve tried. The heals are a little higher, so my stride and balance is more forward than backward, resulting is far less pain and discomfort, along with better balance.
I have a wide toe box and narrow heals with high arch and instep. My only problem with the shoe so far is that it is a little wide in the heal, but the fit elsewhere is perfect as is the support and with the laces adjusted doesn’t slide or rub where it’s a bit wide.
And, the price is right. I imagine that I’ll be purchasing several more pair over the next year in different styles.
👟 FITVILLE WALKING SHOES REVIEW 👟 I was asked to give an honest review by Fitville (an international company using cutting edge science to create their shoes). I am not in the business of giving a good review in exchange for free gifts-so this is a honest as it gets! 👟 As I had not heard of Fitville I was slightly sceptical (were they connected to Farmville?😅) but my scepticism was proven to be unfounded! 👟 I have suffered some foot issues over the years – a bunion removal operation, plantar fasciitis and achilles tendon issues.
👟 Although I have a fairly small bone frame my feet however are quite wide. I’ve often had to go to the men’s section to find trainers as women’s sizing can be too narrow in the toe area for me. In other words these shoes are designed with the wider foot in mind wide2E/ extra wide4E.
👟 So when Fitville asked me if I was interested in trying their shoes I seized the offer with two feet😁and can I say I have not been disappointed! 👟 When I put on these Rebound Core (woman’s) in sandy grey – (they do a Gent’s range also) I actually did not take them off for the entire day! It was as if I had worn them for months! There was no breaking in period at all.
I also loved the rubberised non slip soles especially when walking out in the Scottish rain. 👟 These shoes are equipped with wide toe boxes, patented PropelCoreTM EVA soles, and shock-absorbing pads, I literally felt I was walking on air with the cushioned inserts provided.
They also felt very light to wear. 👟 Most of all I love how stylish they are! I wondered would they have the look of shoes designed for the ermm. elderly. but not at all! In fact I had to prevent my daughter (24 yrs) @lookswithlaura from acquiring them for herself! 😂 👟 Can’t wait for summer walks here in the Highlands of Scotland with these stylish and comfortable shoes.
Thank you so much @thefitville.
I have Multiple Sclerosis which means I have very strange feet that I can not wear most shoes. I can no longer walk on sandy beaches as too painful and my balance is not good either so a supportive shoe is vital.
3 years ago I broke my leg then Covid so my movement was greatly inhibited. I have only found one brand of trainers I can wear and have lived in them for over a year now. I had looked at Fitville and thought it might be worth a try and finally I have.
I bought them about a month ago and have slowly started using them, day at a time for a few hours to get my over sensitive feet used to them. I wore them for a couple of days at a time a few times and now for the last 3 days continuously! I walked over a patch of land, grassed but uneven today that I haven’t done for 3 years with our dog.
A bouncy Labrador pointer rescue. I find I can drive much better in them and can feel the soles of my feet too and wiggle and move my feet/toes. I actually forgot to take my cane and only realised when I thought something is missing! I went without it even when I realised.
Not for too long but trainers have a wide supportive sole which I realised are easier to stand with that extra support. So if this is how a person with a real physical challenge can be made to feel, just try them.
I am now going to try the trainers you don’t have to bend to do up laces and are quite cute too. Nice colours. and use them as supportive slippers. I am so glad I took the plunge and bought them. Dark blue rebound core ladies.
I bought ladies 6 and they are true to size. Don’t be tempted to size down because wider. I have been 6 all my life, 39 European. And the extra width gives more movement to my feet. I have a smaller foot by half a size but bought to fit the larger foot.
I hope this review may help others with weird feet, neuropathy etc. Those with fabulous normal feet, these will be just amazing! Thank you for reading, i hope this helps. To be able to walk again on land I have not been able to for 3 years gives such hope and pleasure.

Reviews From Real Customers
It is really hard for me to find shoes that I can wear longer than a few minutes before my feet virtually cripple me. I have plantars faciitis in both feet as well as Morton’s Neuroma in my left foot.
These shoes let me walk for most of the day without my feet hurting much at all. These shoes were the answer for me. Not only are they comfortable, they are light, easy to put on – I hate laces – and they look good plus they are available in the wide width.
On top of all that, the price is right. These shoes look like shoes that cost a lot more as they are well made. can’t go wrong with these. I plan on purchasing another pair as soon as I wear these out and at the rate I’m going that will be pretty soon.
The only change I would like to see is to make a few more colors available.
And that includes stiletto high heels with super pointy toes back in the day. No joke I bought these because I have neuropathy issues in my feet. I happily traded style and good looks for the comfort I anticipated these clunkers might provide.
But they have virtually NO flexibility and dig into my flesh to the point of breaking skin and causing sores on my feet. Furthermore, despite Dr. Leonards claims to the contrary, they have ZERO breathability.
I would give them less than one star if that were possible. Hate, hate, hate them.
I ordered the 8wide shoe. They came today, and put them on. My feet were happy! Now I can wear these to work tomorrow, and my feet will feel better than what I was wearing before. The other work shoes that I had were also slip resistant, but the material was hard.
These sneakers are manageable. I would recommend.

I have been buying this shoe, with Dr prescription, for many years at Health Quest. However they closed and no longer sell shoes on line either. I was so happy to find your store and to fine the exact shoe.
at a great price. No problem with shoes. They are great, and only $108. 00. BUT that is till they came. With US/Canadian exchange, taxes, shipping and $60. 00 duty. what started off $108. 00 ended up over $225.
00. They are the perfect shoe for my feet but unfortunately I can’t afford to buy them again😢😥.
I have used the white/blue walker shoe exclusively now for about 10 years after I saw they were recommended and discounted for CMT patients. Unfortunately the discount is no longer offered. I liked them so much however I continued buying them anyway at full price and they are now the ONLY shoe I wear and the most comfortable with my type foot issues.
They are a quality shoe with room enough for orthotics. When I saw the white/grey pair I thought I would give them a try for a change. What I found is the toe area for the same size shoe is unfortunately more narrow.
I am going to keep them however hoping that wearing them a bit they will stretch. I gave it three stars for this reason.

I just love these Sneakers! They fit true-to-size. I also like the leather material and the design of these shoes that help my feet to breathe while I am on my feet most of the day. I like the thick outer sole as it feels like I am walking on air — they are so light and very comfortable ! I am also so glad that you make your shoes in the color of White as this is the color I prefer to wear.
Thank you, and my feet thank you too, for doing what you truly love to do — make such attractive, good quality, light and comfortable shoes for people who, unfortunately, happen to be born with BIG feet like myself.
I hope your Company will be here for many years to come — doing what you truly love to do, making not only cute and attractive styles of shoes, but also of very good quality as well, and making them affordable for everyone.
Carol the walker.
First, these are SHOCKINGLY heavy. I couldn’t believe their weight in the hand as I lifted them out of the box. They are much heavier than SAS’s leather walking shoes or other sneakers. Second, I was convinced there would be plenty of depth in these shoes, from the description “added depth for comfy toes,” but all the depth of that rubber band you see on the outside is solid sole! I couldn’t even get my feet in, the shoe was so shallow, and this is in my usual size, 10WW, which fits me in the FreeTime and other SAS styles.
I don’t know how the notion of added depth got into the description, because it definitely is not there. I can’t imagine lugging such heavy shoes around if I were able to get them on. Sad they didn’t work out, since “Blue Moon” is a very pretty, very dark blue which looks great with the white sole.
Just got these. They are the most incredible shoes. Comfortable right out of the box. You can feel how supportive they are and I love the non-slip sole for work. I’m not sure why people are saying they are “heavy.
” I don’t think they are heavy at all. They are a quality American made shoe. With arch support. They are incredibly durable. Are people thinking lightweight is good? Why? I associate that with cheap materials and soles that will not wear over time.
I’ve had two pairs of SAS shoes — the Clare non-slip and I’ve worn them constantly for work and the sole barely looks worn. And they are so comfortable after being on my feet hours. This brand is just top notch.
I’m very pleased with the styling of the Free Rein. My only advice to SAS is to get more youthful and fun styles. I do love the Clare and the Free Rein. Would love to see some similar non-slip styles like that.
I would give these shoes 6 stars if I could. So worth it!!!.
Conclusion
There are many benefits to wearing walking shoes with wide toe boxes. First, they provide more room for the toes, which can help to prevent pain and discomfort in the feet. Second, they can help to improve balance and stability when walking.
Third, they can help to promote better circulation in the feet. Finally, they can help to reduce the risk of developing bunions or other foot problems.
