There are a few ways to heat 600 square feet, but the most common and effective way is through the use of a central heating system. This type of system uses a furnace to heat air, which is then distributed throughout the home through a system of ducts.
Central heating systems are generally very efficient, and can effectively heat large spaces like 600 square feet.

The Dr. Infrared Heater’s Advanced Dual Heating System, combining PTC and Quartz Infrared Element, will keep you warm this winter while saving on heating bills. Equipped with a Dual Heating System and High Velocity Low Noise blower, the Dr.
Infrared Heater increases heat distribution and transfer rate, quickly bringing your room to a comfortable temperature. The Dr. Infrared Heater is certified by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) USA and Canada, ensuring the highest safety standard.
There are many heaters on the market which are designed to supplement heat in the home but they can’t get the heat up past 3 degrees. This heater however will do the job that you need. This heater produces a soft radiant heat that heats up quickly (in a few minutes) and maintains quietly through the night to keep the bedroom at a comfortable temperature.
It has an “eco” setting which will range from 1000-1500 watts to keep the temperature steady. The cabinet, made from wood, is cool to the touch. The fan will kick in to disperse any excess heat and cool it down.
Temperature range can be set manually or by remote. IMO, it’s the finest heater available on the market built with true intelligence and integrity. It’s well worth the price.
I love this infrared heater. I should have bought two. (I am) it’s heats up the space in the room very quickly. It’s very quiet and light weight. I love the fact it has wheels. I can move it from room to room (I have turned my heat down in the house it’s just me) I love the remote as well.
While laying in Bed and it starts to get to warm I can just aim to turn it down or off. The only thing I do wish is that the base comes in more appealing color finishes like black or white but it’s okay I can overlook the wood cherry look.
I’ve owned this heater for 18 months. Only used sometimes in the winter obviously, so it hasn’t been run that much. Quartz tube already burned out. warranty is 3 years. $25 minimum shipping fee to send it to the manufacturer for repairs.
Then I’m without a heater for an unknown length of time and it’s a cold January right now. Tube is supposed to last much longer. Half the heat without it. Disappointed in the short life of the product as it is billed as a premium heater.
Stay warm this winter without breaking the bank on heating bills with the powerful and efficient Dr. This heater’s Advanced Dual Heating Hybrid System, which combines PTC and Quartz Infrared Elements, is great at blowing out more hot air on less power.
This infrared space heater also features 3 heating modes for more options. Eco mode consumes less power, while High runs at 1500 watts and Low runs at 1200 watts. Use the 12-hour timer and built-in thermostat for even more easy control over the temperature.
The Dr. Infrared Heater is full of safety features too. There aren’t any exposed heating coils, and the heater is UL and cUL certified for the highest safety standards with tip-over and overheat shut-off protection.
Yes they do here they had a rather spa area very well i. e. if you have a small office or a small kids room or nursery type around This will be great. But if you have a larger room you’re going to find only about 8 x 10 of it gets really warm and the rest of it’s pretty much still cold it’ll probably be a few degrees cooler about wet 10 to 12 feet away from the heater for us as whatever the heater set up.
They are quite safe though and they do heat up very fast so if you want to heat up a small area very quickly wonderful and if you need the ability to put it on some thing it’s a wonderful little heater for that.
Mine will be going back because I need to heat bigger rooms.
The Heat Storm Phoenix Floor to Wall Unit is a great solution for any bedroom or small room where there is not much floor space. At 1,500-Watt this heater will easily heat up your room but you will not have issues tripping your breaker if you want to run other electronics.
This heater is safe to touch, even on the grill, making a great choice for anyone. This unit has two power modes, one uses the full 1,500-Watt (red leaf), while the second mode (green Leaf) uses only 750-Watt.
Each unit contains our Patented Heat Exchanger with HMS Technology that allows maximum heat from the infrared quartz bulbs without any heat loss from the unit. This portable 1500 watt infrared heater has the power to heat up a small room or office with its 5200 BTU heat output.
Two power modes, one uses the full 1,500 watt power while the other only uses 750 watts. Our patented heat exchanger with HMS Technology combines with humidity in the room to provide soft, safe heat without reducing oxygen or humidity.
Safe to touch, even the grill. Small convenient size makes this perfect for any room in the house. Hang it on the wall or set it on the ground thanks to removable feet and wall mounting points on the back of the heater.
Built in thermostat with LED display shows you what the ambient temperature is and helps regulate the temperature efficiently. Included remote control allows you to control the temperature with ease.
Some much quieter & smaller than my 10 year old infrared heater. Both 1500W. Too new to give it 5 s but if it lasts 10 years it will be worth every penny! I purchased a 1000W Heat Storm infrared heater, a couple years ago, for 12×12 enclosure and it heats the area easily during January & February making the space useable year round.
I really like the auto mode vs manual select high or low setting. Has the option to wall mount but since it is portable and I am only using it seasonally I wont be using that feature. My sister in-law was so impressed she purchased 1 too.
I ordered from another site. I saw the poor rating here and felt the need to get it right. I love my heater, and have it mounted on the wall in my garage. I can control it through the app or Google/Alexa which makes it very convenient.
Through the winter when I was working in the garage I’d just tell a smart device to turn it on, or if I accidentally left it on i could turn it off. It puts out a good amount of heat, and the device and wall do not get hot.
I’ve had no concerns whatsoever, although one is underpowered for a two car garage with no insulation. it still made a big difference.
The Heat Storm is the best heater I have ever owned. I bought it to heat my garage on cold winter nights in NJ and it did the job, it was warm and toasty. Unfortunately, the unit lasted exactly one year to the day I installed it! I called the manufacturer and they are going to do something, not sure what, but.
It’s been 3 weeks and I still don’t have a return form to send it back. Call me crazy, but I did purchase two more, heaters, one to replace the garage heater and one to heat my shed. Stay tuned, lets see if these last longer.
It comes with a built-in thermostat that can be adjusted from low to high, and allows an impressive temperature range of 45-95 degrees. It also features a fan that provides continuous warmth. This heater comes with built-in cord storage to help keep your space tidy.
Safety features include finger-proof intake and discharge grills and a high temperature heating limit. Easily keeps my 1,000 sq ft. insulated garage more than comfortable for my 12 dogs. It was easy to dial in a comfortable heat level and it automatically shuts off once it gets there. Installed a hook in the 10 foot ceiling and hang the heater from a steel chain near the wall and plug.
Everything is up in the air so the dogs can’t get to it. The only negative was the plug, very uncommon so I simply replaced it with a more standard 220, 30 amp dryer type plug. Cost of plug was less than $10 and the heater has a three wire cord, white, black and green.
I then purchased and adapter, from a 220, 50 amp to the 220, 30 amp plug for $15 and use the welder outlet I had included in the garage during construction.
I have purchased 3 of those units. Two at Amazon and one here at BBB. hopping for different outcome. Unfortunately, all of them had the same problem. Built-in thermostat is not working properly. I had 60 degrees in my garage on lowest settings and heater was still working other time at freezing temperatures heater was not turning on.
Very frustrating. If I could, I would give zero stars for wasting resources to build something like that!.
When I received this heater the box was in perfect shape, no signs of damage, but when I opened it and pulled the heater out the fan was laying in the bottom not attached to the bracket inside. Pulled the cover off and screws totally missing, fan and inside of heater looked as if it had been running with the fan hitting inside of housing.
Screws not inside the heater nor in the box. Got the fan straightened out and bought screws from hardware store, remounted fan and turned the heater on. It started working and seemed to be okay. The heater coil is not suppose to turn red while it is running however on day 2 the coil is starting to turn red while heating so the coil is not going to last very long before it shorts out.
This was a waste of money, and a waste of time to work on it to get it running. If I had just wanted a fan I could have bought several fans from Walmart for what this cost.
Heater propane forced air heaters are part of Mr. Heater’s Contractor series. Made from rugged, durable steel, these heaters are built to last. They provide reliable heat for areas anywhere from 800 to 9,000 square ft.
Heater propane forced air heaters feature continuous ignition for instant heat and high temperature limit switch. Each unit includes a 10 ft. hose and regulator.
This Mr. Heater MH60QFAV Portable Outdoor 60,000 BTU Forced Air Propane is a nice little unit and I purchased this because it touted being quiet as compared to earlier versions. Unfortunately it was not as quiet as I had hoped.
I tried to get information as to how loud the blower was but did not receive an answer. The quiet part appears to be from the ignitor not constantly going off as the cheaper models do which can be a bit annoying.
So here is the definitive answer as to how loud this unit is. I used an app on my phone to measure the decibels this unit outputs so I do not know how accurate it is. The reading was 70 decibels near the unit and 65 decibels approx.
6-10 ft away. The noise is not outrageous as the 70 level indicates a conversation loudness although it is quite obvious during conversations. It was the same level as the older and cheaper models. I am surprised that Mr.
Heater does not re-design the fan to be quieter as the technology exists. The fuel consumption seemed high but I was not able to confirm the actual usage. Overall if I was not looking for a outdoor group heater I would keep this unit but it does not fit my needs at this time.
This is a fantastic little heater. I have a 24×24, non-insulated garage. This heater puts out more than enough heat to get through the north east winter comfortably. The supplied hose DOES FIT STANDARD PROPANE TANKS!! It’s reverse thread so turn it to the left to tighten it into the tank.
Turn the gas on and wait about 20 seconds before starting the heater. If the heater is started before pressure builds, you will get a small flame and cool output. When started properly this heater pumps extremely hot air with great force when set to high.
It has fantastic output even on low for those fair weather winter days. Compared to larger kerosine torpedo heaters, this thing is whisper quiet with very low fumes. I highly recommend it!.
Love this thing! I bought this to work on finishing my attached garage. I live in the northeast and it’s the middle of winter. I have a small propane tank (like for a grill) hooked up and man this thing makes the space hot! I only keep it running for 9 or 10 minutes because the space just gets too hot to work.
And I haven’t ever put it any higher than the lowest setting. For reference, the garage is a little over 500 square feet with a 10ft ceiling. It does what it’s supposed to do and it does it well. Totally worth the money.
This energy efficient compact infrared quartz comfort furnace has the same 5,120 Btu output as larger quartz heaters. Its smaller profile and modern look makes it ideal for many applications. Built-in blower helps spread soothing infrared heat evenly throughout the room.
3 infrared quartz heating elements. 3 infrared quartz heating elements. Use on desktop or floor. Remote control with 12 hr programmable timer. Eco setting provides efficient power use. LED digital function display.
I purchased this heater for my living room. Specifically my crochet, reading, tv, corner. I have used this type of heater in the paste and knew the features I wanted, multiple heat settings, remote, thermostat, and timer.
This has all that. It heats the area quickly, I can set it ahead of time and forget it. I like the different heat settings: ECO (750 or 700watts, I can’t remember), medium (1000watts), high(1500watts).
The 3 heat settings help keep costs down, and allows me to get the temperature just right. yes, I am a bit of a Goldilocks 🙂 I highly recommend this heater.
Very nice and compact heaters. They are very well built and put out alot of heat. I did give it 3 stars because I had one damaged just needed a little glue. Its winter time plastic becomes brittle. Also the heater is sold as 3 different brands its very confusing.

Reviews From Real Customers
Great heater! I would have given it 5 stars except for the fact that it arrived with the top louver broken off, but that’s of little consequence. The louvers twist off easily, so don’t adjust them much.
Hanging the heater was very simple. It operates perfectly, controlling the temperature very precisely. Turns on when the temperature is one degree below setpoint; shuts off one degree above. My garage is approximately 370 square feet, and is fully insulated.
The heater controls the temperature easily at 60F when the outside temperature is 15F. Can be programmed to shut off automatically after 1-9 hours of operation, or can be left on to run as long as you want.

My husband specifically asked for this heater the Comfort Zone – Comfort Zone Portable Fan-Forced Industrial Space Heater in Red. When I opened the box I immediately noticed the plug is not a typical plug which surprised me.
Make sure you have a outlet that fits this unusual plug! My husband has this outlet in his garage. He wanted a strong heater with a blower for those cold winter days. He loves it! He highly recommends it as long as you have an outlet to fit it.
He would definitely buy again but he feels it’s so well made that it will be a long time before he needs a new heater.
I do a lot of projects in my unheated garage, so I was looking for something safe and not too large so I can continue to work in the winter. This heater puts out a lot of heat in a small package and I love the red metal design.
It feels sturdy and heavy duty. The power cord is reasonably long, but keep in mind that it is not a traditional plug! You have to have a large appliance outlet installed to be able to use this heater! I didn’t realize this, but was able to use it in a different location instead, but definitely something to know before purchasing!.
I love this heater. It’s perfect for a garage if doing projects or simply just hanging out. I also use it in the basement. It has a good handle for carrying and also for wrapping the cords around. BEWARE OF THE PLUG! It’s not the typical plug, you need a special outlet.
I love this heavy duty heater and I highly recommend it.

Rugged stamped steel front cover with five-way adjustable louvers for easy control airflow. ceiling and wall mounting bracket are included. Finished in a gray epoxy paint. UL & cUL Listed.
Product appears and works good but I was not aware that there was no on/ off switch on the appliance, you turn it on and off with the circuit breaker. I was not aware of this at the time I purchased the item, probably would have bought something else had I known.
My circuit breaker is some distance from the heater, not convenient. Since the heat setting is on the front panel, why not an on/ off switch? Outside of this detail, this is an AOK product. Dennis.
Product looks good quality arrived ahead of time and very well packagedIts a little tricky to hook up (hardwire) unless you have 240v (which I have) and electrical experience/code knowledge, note big box stores dont carry 35Amp breakers in stock (special order).
Product seems to work very well – I have 640sqft garage/workshop (extremely well insulated) and so far works very well at maintaining or adjusting temp. We will see how well it copes during our MI winters.
Fan noise is fine for Garage – not obtrusive and heat seems to pump out around the space well. Install – Requirement is to have 8ft clearance to the floor from bottom of unit (not poss in my Garage) and also min 4.
5 inches clear from back of unit – bracket for wall (and ceiling) provided does not achieve this so had to add some spacing with 2×4’s. also running conduit ( I added a isolation switch also to turn on/off).
as I said a little tricky to install esp for homeowner- so far 4 stars – ( would be 5 if install was easy) NOT: price is very good on Wayfair – I see people on ebay paying more for same item from same manufacturer.
I hope it lasts and provides good service for years to come. time will tell !.
The Heat Storm Delux on-wall infrared heater is the perfect solution to many home heating problems. This electrice infrared heater uses only 1000 watts and has a digital thermostat to maintain the desired room temperature.
Add heat to a cold bedroom, attic or other living space with this convenient heater. Featuring a wall-mount installation, this heater does not take up valuable floor space, and its cord can be conveniently hidden, keeping it away from children and pets.
The quiet fan makes it easy to sleep with this heater running, and the remote control means that you can change its settings without getting up. Digital thermostat Wattage: 1000 For room size: 600 square feet BTU: 3400 Volts 120VAC Remote control Whisper quiet cross flow fan Hidden cord install option Two electrostatic filters UL listed: Yes Material: Galvanized steel/poly propylene Overall dimensions: 16.
75 inches high x 13 inches wide x 3. 5 inches deep.
Put this in our basement laundry room. Small but does a good job of recirculating the air and drying out an otherwise cool and damp feeling space. Super easy installation. Downsides are price and that it is a bit noisy – would not put in living or bedrooms.
Had also thought it was wifi enabled. has a remote, but not wifi.
We use this heater in a bedroom that had its radiator removed before we purchased this house. The room is approximately 12′ by 14′, and getsmighty cold on freezing winter nights. We used to use a floor space heater, but the ones we has were 1.
) noisy; 2. ) a fire hazard if anyone left dirty laundry too close; 3. ) drove up our electricity bills noticeably. The Heatstorm eliminated all these problems. The quartz technology is safe and very effective.
The fact that it mounts on the wall saves floor space and minimizes fire hazards. It’s much cheaper to run, and is considerably less noisy. The quartz element should last us about ten years (20000 hrs), compared to the 3 – 5 years lifespans our electric heaters have lasted.
Last but not least, it’s thin and attractive, the size of a shirt gift box. All in all, we are very happpy with the Heatstorm.
We have a small studio in our garage (225 sq. ft. ) and we have used space heaters there for years. We remodeled the space recently and looked for a nice looking, efficient modern electric heater to replace the ugly portable space heaters.
This seemed to do the trick. One selling point was that the unit would be “whisper quite”. Well, it is more like a whisper with a bad cold. The unit rattles internally. I can stop that by squeezing on the sides, but obviously, that’s not a practical solution.
Nearly 12,800 BTU’s in an instant. The tubular cabinet design of the Electric Forced Air Heater maximizes heat distribution, while the handheld remote makes adjustments a snap. The Electric Forced Air Heater is portable or it can be mounted to the wall or ceiling with included mounting kit making it the perfect choice for jobsites, workshops, warehouses, agricultural buildings and many other heavy duty heating needs.
The heavy duty construction includes stainless steel heating element, heavy gauge cabinet, built in turbo fan, remote control and overheat shut-off.
Wonderful heater for my 2 car garage. Saw some complaints about the heater automatically switching from high to low, so I just set a couple degrees above my desired set point to get the temperature I desired.
I have owned one of these heaters for 3 years. I use it to heat a garage workshop but I only keep it at 45 degrees. The thermostat is accurate, the remote is great, and the heater continues to run like new.
The coil does not get red hot because it is Stainless Steel. I bought this unit because it is 220v which may be more durable than a 120v unit, don’t know really, but it keeps working even at 5 degrees outside.
Depending on the size of the building and the weather temp inside, it will heat up a small size garage in a couple of hours. I ran it hard to see if it would stand the limit and reach the temp. It maxed out at 95 degrees for a 32×22 metal garage with temp outside at about 50 degrees.
Efficiently warms a room up to 225 square feet. Uses efficient convection technology. Includes heat reflector to increase heating efficiency. Will not dry the air or no oxygen burn up. Amaze-Heater MAXI 600 Watt electric convection room heaters are crafted to perfection with an attractive dome sticker, giving it a very unique and stylish appearance.
Amaze-Heaters are the safest in their class as there are no moving parts with no gas and no exposed heating elements. Instead of heating an object or person, the heater uses efficient convection technology to warm an entire room up to 225 square feet depending on room insulation.
Its ultra slim and compact design allows for discreet out-of-the way wall mounting and installs quickly and easily with the included installation hardware. Once installed, the heater can be painted to match the room decor and will operate silently.
As the heater will not dry the air or burn up the oxygen in the room, you will experience warm, comfortable, efficient, safe and silent heating all season long. Come home to the warmth of Amaze Heater.
The heater seems to be pretty good at heating a small to mid-sized room. I have it in my home office which is around 10×12 and its a good supplement. I leave our central heat at 60 degrees and just turn this on for an extra 6-8 degrees in my office.
It’s a little large, but the good thing is it blends into the wall. It does get pretty hot to the touch so make sure not to put it anywhere little kids may touch. I don’t have kids right now so that’s not an issue.
It’s not so hot you’ll burn yourself, but you don’t want to keep your hand on it for more than a second. I gave 4 stars because the one negative is it smells pretty pungent at first use. From what I read online, ceramic space heaters have this smell normally for the first 30 min or so of use.
Its getting better, but takes time to go away. If you’re looking for something out of the box ready, I’d look for a different type of heating.
I love this! Put it in my sunroom which is not heated. My dogs stay in there when I’m at work (there is access to the yard via a dog door). It keeps the room comfortable on chilly days and I don’t have to worry about it burning the dogs or getting knocked over like I used to when I used a space heater.
Conventional heaters heat the surrounding air, hot air stays at the ceiling and the heat is distributed unevenly. Wexstar infrared technology works more efficiently and evenly by heating objects rather than the air, and using a fraction of the electricity No fan means 100% quiet and no stirred-up dust, ideal for people suffering from asthma or allergies.
Can be mounted on the wall, or on the floor with Wexstar stand support separate accessory. Easily plug to a standard electrical 120 v outlet and does not require any professional installation. Wexstar heaters are free of maintenance and no further costs or parts to be replaced.
Less than an inch thick, do not take much space and are easy to relocate.
I bought this panel for a small insulated rear addition that is normally almost 10 degrees colder than the rest of the home in subzero outdoor temperatures. This is not a heater you blast for immediate heat.
It took approx 24 hours to bring the temperature up 6-7 degrees. In combination with the plug-in thermostat that’s sold separately, this heater is exactly what I’d hoped. Don’t be alarmed by the slow heating but do make sure you buy the right wattage for the size of your room.
My only complaint is the length of the cord, cannot be installed on the ceiling without an extension.
For many decades within my family we have used many different kinds of electric heating units. This unit proves to be unique with creating comfortable uniform warmth in any room up to 250 sqft. Give it 3 – 7 days for it to be effective.
I highly recommend purchasing the plug in thermostat for this unit to control the heat more efficiently. It is safe. It is most energy efficient. Mounting to wall is best but if needed they sell feet to place unit standing on the floor.
We bought 2 units. One for an Airbnb suite within our home where the room is cold even with a furnace in the home. A great space saver for this room. The other unit is in a small cinder block water pump house located on our farm to prevent the water pump, holding tank and pipes from freezing, so we maintain a temperature of 50F.
excellent product. replaced some 500/1000 watt tube type infra red heaters. after installing our temps when down to the minus 30’s. in spite of that my electrical bill went down $100. 00 last month. requires 2 people to install but absolutely worth the price.
we are now planning to put them into a cottage addition currently under construction.

The unit blends beautifully into modern home decor with its attractive platinum finish and zero tolerance space-saving design, which can be placed at the wall.
Attention all buyers this is a good heater it heats a larger room pretty good. Here’s the but. You need to watch out for the crazy quirk it has sometimes after using it you can turn it off but try to turn it on and it wont come on til you unplug it for about 5 mins at least and sometimes it dont do it it’ll just come on like it supposed to.
So if one day you want to turn it on and it don’t come on thats what you need to do it’s actually a safety feature that explains it in the instructions but if you’re like me you might not have read them almost threw it out the door in frustration till I read them and unplugged it for a few mins and it worked like a charm.
Many a heater might have been thrown out for this but once you learn its switch it works perfectly all the time. I bought this one cause I bought the black one years ago and still using it. So I’m sold on the brand.
The Lasko Cyclonic ceramic Heater is a great choice to heat a room. Why? well, here is what I think about my new heater. First, i was looking for a heater to use in my 160 Sq ft shop, that didn’t take up a whole bunch of space.
The Lasko heater is a good compact size, unlike Baseboard heaters that take up three to five or more feet of wall space, where you can’t put things in front of them, this heater is only about 17″ wide.
Or my former oil radiator heater, that works well, but I had to pull it out from the wall to use it, as it gets hot all around it. This heater will heat a larger room, but I chose it because I wanted a fairly fast warm up, when I start to work.
I chose Electric because I don’t want fumes or have to worry about getting Propane, or Kerosene. I like the feel of the Electric heat. This heater has a thermostat that can be set, and a timer if you want it to go off by itself.
Very Convenient ! It draws the cool air from the floor, and blows warm air out the top, from it’s moveable ( up and down) exhaust. The Fan forced air can travel most of the way across the room, which helps circulate the warmth evenly.
The heater fan has two speeds so it’s quiet enough to use in a bedroom if you want, and can be put right up against the wall so it’s out of the way. Ihave used this in my shop for several days now, some as cold as 25 degrees outside, and this Lasko heater warms the shop up to a comfortable (for me) 68 deg.
in about 30 minutes. Because it’s only 25″ tall, the temperature the display on the front says, may need to be adjusted to your own likings, but I’ve found once the whole room has warmed up the temp.
displayed is within 2 degrees of the Thermometer I have on the other end of the room. So it does keep up with the set temperature when in thermostat mode fairly well. You can just have it on low heat or high heat all the time, but I like the convenience of the thermostat mode.
It’s simple to operate, and comes in several colors, to match your decor. While the housing is mostly Plastic, the Heater is sturdy enough. Because it is only 6. 5″ deep, it stays tucked up tight ot the wall out of my way, and doesn’t heat up the wall, like my oil/electric radiator did, but fear not if you tip it over, it has automatic shutoff.
I don’t have any complaints about this heater. I think it’s just about perfect for small shops like mine, or a cold bedroom , or even to heat larger areas. Lasko made a good all around Electric heater here.
I truly love these heaters. They can be placed next to a wall and won’t harm the wall; the outside of the heater remains cool to the touch. There’s a sliding knob to direct the heat flow up into the room or directly across.
If it falls over for any reason, it turns itself off. We ordered two. actually three, but the first one that arrived came with holes in the box EXACTLY where the switches to turn it on and off are located, and, it didn’t work.
I don’t know if that was done in shipping or what, but we returned it. By the way. the first one of these heaters we bought over 15 years ago and it still works! The next one we bought of the same type heater but the model with a remote from Walmart about six years ago and it still works.
I don’t know why they seem to have stopped making them. (Note: They are HARD to find! I could not find the remote model except at Ama. and I won’t buy anything like this there. they often charge a restocking fee to do returns.
Comfort Zone Ideal for use in offices, homes and drafty living areas, this digital quartz heater offers plenty of power. The heater’s quartz bulbs reflect heat onto nearby objects just like the sun, warming the area in front of the heater gently and efficiently.
The quartz heater boasts a tough metal safety grill over the bulbs to help prevent them from breaking or coming into contact with flammable items. A built-in sensor shuts the unit off immediately when it reaches an unsafe temperature, helping to prevent damage due to overheating.
A large, easy-to-read digital display informs you of the room’s current temperature and a full-function remote control allows for easy temperature control from across the room. Featuring an eco-friendly mode that limits the amount of energy the tower heater draws, this digital heater lets you monitor your energy consumption and adjust the heat setting to minimize your usage and reduce your electricity bill.
You can also set a timer on this heater for up to 12 hours with auto-shutoff once the desired time frame is reached.
I plan on sending this Comfort Zone 1,500-Watt Electric Digital Quartz Infrared Cabinet Space Heater with Remote Control to my step dad who lives in Wisconsin, where temperatures hit Minus double digits and settle in for the duration.
Up until last November, my mother was the keeper of the thermostat in their 2 bedroom, full basement castle in the woods. Sadly, she received her angel wings the week before Thanksgiving 2019, leaving my young at heart, but somewhat bull headed 80+ yr old stepfather behind to fend for himself.
For the 1st time in over 40 years, he now has full control over how much (or in his case, how little) of his retirement $$ ends up in the pockets of the propane company. I know my mom is smiling down on me as I write this review.
She is fully aware that once it is submitted, the heater will be on it’s way to Wisconsin, where it will enable my stepdad to retain his hard earned $$ without freezing to death. As I do with anything I send him that requires reading instructions, I have removed the heater from the box and familiarized myself with the features it offers.
I feel I am now prepared to answer any questions he may have regarding his new Comfort Zone 1,500-Watt Electric Digital Quartz Infrared Cabinet Space Heater. I TRULY appreciate the Safety Features this heater offers.
Comfort Zone has designed the outer casing in such a fashion that my beloved stepfather cannot accidentally poke his fingers through the tough Metal Safety Grill protecting the 4 High Power Quartz Infrared Emitters.
The Stay Cool Housing eliminates the possibility of his hands getting burned when utilizing the Easy To Grasp Side Indents to pick up the heater and move it from the living room to the bedroom. The Safety Tip-Over Cut Off Switch and Overheat Protection Sensor which Automatically Shuts the Unit Off in case it overheats, are features that will allow my siblings & I to sleep peacefully at night.
My step dad will definitely appreciate the Large, Easy To Read Digital Temperature Display which tells him the current Room Temperature, as well as the White Function Icons that are Easily Identified against the black background of the casing.
The Full Function Remote is icing on the proverbial cake, as he won’t have to leave his bed to Adjust the Temperature Setting or Regulate the 12 Hour Timer’s Auto Shut Off. I found the instructions for the remote to be a tad confusing at first and for that reason, I have retained a copy to reference when he calls to inquire about which button does what.
I am leaving the 2 AAA Batteries necessary for the remote to function inside the remote. Uncertain as to why they are Not included. It’s the one suggestion I would offer Comfort Zone in regards to improving this otherwise well designed space heater.
I know without a doubt that my step dad’s favorite feature will be the ECO Mode which automatically adjusts heat output, while reducing energy use. Grateful for the other 2 Heat Settings this Compact Heater offers and hopeful that he won’t hesitate to use them when the temperature outside his castle in the woods hits those infamous Minus double digits.
Very happy overall with this heater. Cheaper ones I bought were shutting off quickly to avoid overheating I assume. Love that I can actually set the desired temp and it gives you the temp of the room too.
Wish it had the ability to oscillate. Gives off good heat. Had great reviews on other websites. Just not a lot of reviews on Target. Love using the remote to control it. Haven’t used the timer yet. Cord doesn’t get warm/hot like the cheaper ones I previously bought.
i got this space heater to keep my RV semi-warm during the winter without another heat source. it was good for about 2 days, kept the RV at about 50-60 degrees fahrenheit on high after running for an hour or two in ~30-40 degree weather.
then it began getting colder, in the 20s and low 30s, and the controls completely stopped working at the front of the unit. the heater has to be turned off (on the back side power switch, no buttons on the front side work) and back on again for the front buttons to begin working again for whatever reason.
also, during the middle of the night, while i’m sleeping, the heater will automatically shut off (not due to high heat, i’m guessing due to the cold since it only started happening after it started to get colder) and i wake up freezing.
remote also completely stops working. would not recommend to anyone using in an RV.
It is portable, affordable to run and really throws the heat! With its quiet pivoting action, electronic thermostat and convenient timer, you’ll be able to set it and forget it–keeping your room cozy and comfortably warm.

I bought this heater a couple months ago and it hasn’t broken down since. It’s perfect and has kept me warm when there was no heat in my office building. Now all my co-workers want the same one. It does have a little bit of noise, but I can’t complain much about that.
It is without a doubt incredible and not a let down at all from Office Depot. Super stoked, may have to get myself a personal one someday; I’m actually honestly impressed. I also love the rotating feature.
Not gonna lie, I was skeptical at first, but legit, this isn’t a disspointment. Great price too!.
Love these ceramic type heaters though. This unit turns off automatically if knocked over for safety, and it runs like a champ, even though I’ve knocked them both over a few times. I turn them off to be on the safe side when I leave the house, but sometimes I leave it on overnight, and I don’t feel I have to worry about it.
Absolutely love this heater. Works so good. Love that it has a timer and that it also rotates. It keeps our living room warm during the winter when the heat doesn’t keep the living room the same temperature as the rest of the house.
Our living room is surrounded by windows so it’s hard to keep warm.
The DiamondHeat Convection Heater was made with you in mind. The easy-glide casters and mounting hardware give you custom control of how you set up your heater. Hang it on your wall to provide continuous heat to a cold area or roll it throughout your home to spread warmth to more than one place.
It works fast: the powerful heating plate turns cold air hot right away. Plus, you can enjoy a 160 square foot radius of warmth in complete silence thanks to its powerful and natural convection heating system.

I’ve been using these Newair 400 watt heaters for years and love them. The first one lasted 8 years, which I never complained about. They are perfect for taking the chill off rooms up to 200 sq. ft. , as long as you keep the door closed.
Even at the halfway setting, it will heat up a small room in about 30 minutes. I purchased three this time. One for the bathroom, one for my office and one for a second bedroom. The main thing I like about these is the low wattage.
I can safely run four of these in different rooms, at about 100 watts more than a single 1500 watt heater in only one room. Reliable little heaters, that I feel are safer than larger units.
My wife spends a lot of time using her sewing machine which is in the basement. She had always complained about her feet being cold. Neither Dyson nor Lasko nor any other heater seemed to help. Finally comes Newair AH-400! Fits nicely under her desk and provides enough local warmth.
Money well spent! Their customer service is excellent as well especially call-back feature. They do get back and try to make you happy the best they can. Highly recommended.
I can’t say enough about this heater, the slim design/footprint allows for it to be placed in various areas with room to spare, heats office and bathroom beautifully especially since I like my areas warm.
The automatic off does work along with the trip feature. Highly recommend if you want no noise during zoom calls and save space. Customer service was amazing; initially received a used product that appeared to have been used (looked old, like someone opened it), CS worked promptly to replace it.
Stays cool-to-the-touch Digital display shows room temperature. Easy-touch buttons make it a breeze to operate. Features 3 heat settings and 2 MyTemp personalized settings. Automatically shuts off to prevent overheating.
All settings can be operated with the remote control (included). Plugs into any standard 120-volt socket. Sits on casters – conveniently roll it into place. Honeywell Energy Smart Convection Heater is one of many Heaters available through DailyDeals.
And loaded with options! A very impressive appliance for the price, this Honeywell infrared heater delivers instant comfort while utilizing power modestly. The unit is attractive, light enough to carry (and has a conveniently-located accessible handle), has wheels so it can easily be moved or re-directed and although it is moderate in size, offers a surprising amount of options and can quickly heat even a large area, such as my kitchen which has a cathedral ceiling.
Honeywell touts this as being an energy-saving device and estimates the cost to run the heater on a high constant setting (1500 watts) for four hours will cost approximately 71 cents; however, there are many variables to consider when figuring this amount, such as room size, initial temperature of the room and how well the room is insulated.
There is an Energy Smart setting which allows the consumer to preset a desired temperature digitally and the heater automatically adjusts to attain and maintain that setting rather than selecting low, medium or high which is also an option.
It is also possible to select “My Temp” setting which will allow the heater to store two separate preset favorites as well as a timer option which can be set so that the heater will run for two, four, six or eight hours and shut off automatically.
One of my favorite things about this particular model is the fact that it has a remote control which is quite intelligent and has most of the options that are also available on the digital screen of the heater itself.
There is also a fan/blower setting which may be adjusted for comfort. There are myriad safety features which include automatic shutdown should overheating occur and a four-way tipover switch that shuts down the unit should it fall on its front, back or either side.
The actual “elements” are quartz crystal bulbs which will allow for extended life of the heating capacitors, another energy-saving and appliance life-lengthening strategy. Another health-conscious feature of the heater is a removable, cleanable filter which is easily and conveniently accessible.
Thus far, I have found this to be an excellent product and I look forward to many warm, cozy nights thanks to Honeywell’s cutting edge technology and engineering!.
Experience instant warmth with the Atomi Smart Tower Heater, with its next-generation PTC ceramic heating technology. No need to get up to adjust the space heater’s temperature either. No matter where you are, you can monitor the temperature, set a timer, and schedule this smart heater’s run time through the smartphone app.
First, as a base line, we live in house that is 107 years old. It has hydronic heat. Located in PA. Annual ambient temperatures require heating for 5-7 months. With Jan, Feb, and Mar temperature dropping below freezing.
Our hydronic system failed Jan 3. Repair Services love emergency call out for a price. Not me. We purchased Atomi Smart heater instead. I will go though our plans and why these heaters are a better fit for us.
Plan 1 – Prevent pipe freeze. Improve human comfort level. Our house is two stories with a basement. The stairwells act as heat chimney. One heater in the basement to protect water pipes and start the chimney action.
Any 1500 watt space heaters would work. The Smart App make adjustments much easier. Even though we have experienced below 20F days, no frozen pipe. Another heater would give more human comfort at an increased electric bill.
Plan 2 – We will get the boiler fixed on our time schedule. Our hydronic system has a 5×2-4 programable thermpstate that can be manually kisked up and will automatically drop back to the programmed set point after two hours.
Each radiator has a manual valve, which have limited control value. The Aotmi Smart app has scheduling. Another feature that attracted us to the heaters. Our plan is to drop the hydronic thermostat a few degrees and use the Atomi Smart heaters for peaking.
Probably will take tweaking placement and timing. The desired result ia a savings a few bucks during the heating season. Overall. Fit and finish of the heater is good. The App works well. I did have some angst making the WiFi connections on the first unit.
The second unit was no trouble at all. Both heaters are controlled from the same instance of the App. Not sure how many network of things can be attached to the App. The front panel touch controls are sensitive, and work very well.
So far, no goofy behavior from the heaters. Last, there are two items in the box, a manual and the heater. No assembly required. Cons. I favor heaters that can be thrown from a second story window and then run for 10 years without fault.
Atomi Smart heaters have a lot of plastic. No window test on these. I am liking the heaters now, maybe even to the point of buying another. Time will tell.
Solid packaging, everything arrived in one piece. Sharp looking, although the unit is a bit light and, of course, all hard plastic. Would have preferred a heavier base, but the wind won’t blow it over.
Don’t look for hardcopy directions in the box, included in the app. Smart setup typical, the usual – find the wireless, but no real issues. Google integration seamless. Took me a minute to figure out the Oscillation command.
I’ll save you the trouble. Use exact, “Hey Google, Heater ossiculate on/off”. So you can see I love it as a Smart device and all its tricks, scheduling and the design. Now as a heater? not so much, 3 stars at best.
It’s very quiet, but the fan doesn’t blow all that hard either, but the heat is good and hot. And the 750 sq ft. coverage they claim, haven’t tested, but my 300 sq ft room, would seem to be the max. And my California cool, take the edge off, is not Midwest cold.
I can feel the heat blowing about 3-4 ft away, that’s it. So if you’re looking for a 10 degree bump, this is a good one. More than that, you’re on your own. But if you’re a techy, you’ll enjoy!.
We live in Colorado. We have a bottom floor/entryway in our home with only one heater vent in the ceiling so it always stays very cold in the winter. We had a little space heater down there but it struggled to keep up and was a pain to go down and turn on each morning and off each night.
We found this Atomi heater and loved that there was an app to control it and a schedule feature. It has been a game changer! Not only does it sufficiently heat the space but its small and sleek design are also aesthetically pleasing.
We set it up on a program and can change that or check up on the heater with our phones. The safety features give us comfort as well. It is very quiet and the oscillating feature has helped tremendously.

Very good heater. Set this 10,000 heater at 52deg F, outside temp at 27-40 during the day. Uses about 10-12 kWh per day so around $2-3 dollars a day at DTE Michigan electric rates. Quiet but has ample fan cfm to circulate air.
My are is around 700 ft2 and keeps it at set point. Recommend.
I ordered this heater and mounted it on the wall in my shop. I understood its limitations (1500w) so did not have unreasonable expectations. It raises the temp in my 1400sf open shop about 5 degrees when it is in the 30 outside.
It is not too loud, looks very nice, works great and am considering another for a mountain cabin. I would recommend, if this is what you are looking for.
The most efficient way to heat 600 square feet would be to use a central heating system. This would allow you to evenly distribute the heat throughout the space and avoid any cold spots. Another option would be to use an electric space heater, which would be less expensive to operate than a gas-fired heater.
