Reviews From Real Customers
We live in a 2nd floor condo and this is HEAVY, my wife and are quite strong but we struggled moving the unpacked parts, hence my suggestion to assemble it in the area where you intend to use, it is actually easier to move once assembled with the wheels installed as delivered, but we had a restricted route to the final place of usage.
The instructions were excellent and if you take your time its easy. Be careful with the connector between the main frame and the console mine arrived with a bend pin which I managed to straighten but it looked at first that this was a doa unit.
_x000D_ The connector is not flimsy just needs confident and careful pushing together once you’ve cut off the retaining clip. _x000D_ _x000D_ Just started using it and it is quiet and easy to use, very gradual in start up and the handles make you feel safe.
This is a fantastic treadmill. It was easy to put together and easy to use. It was worth every penny and I would recommend it to anyone who would like to have a very quiet treadmill in your home. I can walk on it at night when everyone is sleeping and no one hears me walking.
That’s pretty awesome!.
This is a phenomenal treadmill! Sturdy as can be, smooth functioning, clear, easy-to-use dashboard, perfect ledge to support video pad, priced fairly, quickly delivered, easy to install. I love it! I am using it every day to better my health.
So happy I made this purchase.

Reviews From Real Customers
The treadmill was exactly what I was expecting and it works great for my needs. I’m an Ironman/marathon runner and fits for all my training needs. Both long steady runs as well as interval runs. The treadmill runs consistently and I bought it since it doesn’t have too many unnecessary bells and whistles.
A few gripes, I wish that the preset speed buttons were incremented by 1mph instead of 2mph. I usually run around 7mph and I find it annoying that I have to press the 6mph or 8mph button and then press speed buttons 10 more times to get it to 7mph.
I wish there was a way to reprogram the buttons. Also, I run on my treadmill using Zwift. This treadmill said it was bluetooth compatible so I thought it would work with my tablet but it’s only a bluetooth connection to the built in speakers.
I’m using the Runn module with the treadmill to use it with Zwift so that’s an easy work around but just be aware it won’t connect otherwise. All and all I actually wish I had bought this sooner. This is only a two month (about 100 miles in) review so I hope the build quality will keep this thing working for years to come.
Chose this treadmill after extensive online research and so glad we did! It was out of stock when we ordered, but the wait to receive ended up being less than expected. I would recommend paying extra for the “room of choice” shipping option – we went with the free shipping, which turned out to be essentially a curbside delivery (unloaded from truck on a pallet) and it took 2 adults + 1 strong teen about 45 min to get it moved to the house, up a flight of stairs, inside the house and down a flight of stairs into the basement.
After that, though, setup was easy and the instructions were clear (my daughter and I completed in about 20 min). So far, the treadmill works great. I can’t run on pavement anymore due to knee, hip and foot issues but I’m able to run without pain on this treadmill thanks to its excellent shock absorption.
It’s also very quiet. I also like the fact that we can fold it up when not in use so it doesn’t take up the whole room. Would recommend purchasing the rubber mat to go underneath since it is a perfect fit for the unit.
I’ve had the treadmill for a few months now and really like it. It is very sturdy and works fine without any problems. I generally use it in manual mode only, so have not explored all the programs. The overall design is good with the controls in convenient locations.
The only negative is the display is a bit small compared to other brands I’ve used. I use the bar graph display and would prefer to have another display choice without the bar graph but with all the numbers arranged on the screen and displayed larger.
Other than that, I’ve very happy with the treadmill. One note when assembling – there are four screws that are partially ******* into their respective pieces. All other hardware comes in a bag. Out of those four screws, three of them had come out in shipping.
Be careful to check all the packing material!.

Reviews From Real Customers
The treadmill is perfect as a minimalist device just the basics (speed, HR, time, distance), the lack of motor is a nice change my walk is more natural and I have better control of my pace since I only walk on it it’s great for me.
I also find I feel the workout more than a motorized treadmill though for running I would probably use a motorized treadmill. Not needing A/C and having a small footprint I have more options for placement.
For me, this treadmill is perfect. And I studied a lot of treadmills, including the two that I almost bought (a Nordictrack $800 one, and a Smooth Fitness $900 one). It was easy for a 63 yr old lady who has a bachelor’s degree in health, physical education and health, to put together; most of it was already put together at the factory.
I’m pleased that I’m not using any electricity, since I’m cheap, always trying to save a buck. All I wanted was something to push the heart a bit, and this really does. I simply walk inside the house for a set time, and then hop on the treadmill for an additional 10 or 15 minutes of uphill.
I don’t run, but walk, but you can increase/decrease your workout on this treadmill by simply walking faster or slower. It is very easy to pace yourself, once you get the knack of walking on it. The LCD display is great, although myself, I find it sort of distracting to know I’ve walked a long time, only to look to see that I’ve only burned about 10 calories.
:/ Of course, this isn’t the machine’s fault. It works quite well, not a lot of bells and whistles, although it tells you basics (time, distance, calories burned, pulse rate) It doesn’t take up lots of space, and I guess it folds up, but why would I want to fold it up? I just GOT it.
How can I use it if it’s folded up? Well, in the end, yeah, I would definitely recommend it. But remember, you can only go uphill. That’s what keeps the belt moving, but that’s what keeps your heart moving, too, which might be why you’re alive now and reading this, especially if you’re an old bat, like me.
Now get moving! :).
The picture does not do it any justice, put a motor on it and you’d think you had one of those professional models. I was amazed when I got it setup. I am 5’7 and I was worried if it would be a short stride walkin on this treadmill.
I can keep a long and consistent walking stride. The 3 inclines suprised me as well. With this being manual it makes you work you don’t get to pace on a motor ran belt (I like that part). I did put it together myself (female here.
sigh you might want to find a friend) plus side it is majority put together in the box. you have to put on the console the wires are already ran through the rails all you have to do is plug them in and put in the 2 batteries (they give you) for the console readings.
The heartrate sensors are pretty good another surprise. Lastly it folds up so if you have a place to push up against a wall you’ll be good on saving space if you needed. Overall, I am just happy and tickled pink with this purchase.
I wanted a strong manual WALKING, yes this is only a WALKING treadmill and this was the one for me.

Reviews From Real Customers
NFM has now delivered 3 different units in approximately a one month span. #1 broken in the box #2 started having issues within a week and continued to get worse each day I waited on a replacement to arrive.
#3 is 3 days old and starting the same issues we had with #2 The problems start off where the workout just stops mid workout, the screen goes black and the JRNY app reboots. When it does this, any of your workout is lost.
The other thing it will do is stop mid workout, and indicate you’re finished when you have just gotten started. No buttons pushed, it’s just decides your done. At least those workouts are saved if you’re keeping track.
If #3 goes in the same cycle of death, I expect the start button and the fan button to be the next casualties on the console. Followed by the speed buttons next to the start button, working its way out, one or two buttons at a time.
One at a time, they just stopped working Followed by the controls on the handles. The instruction manual is worthless to try to troubleshoot this yourself, as it either assumes you won’t have any problems, or you will require someone to service the unit to fix it.
Of course, you have to be able to get in touch with someone at Bowfex to do any of that. 4x I tried to call Bowflex for support, each time on hold for over an hour then hung up on. After getting tired of that, I finally called NFM who offered to bring out a replacement, but it doesn’t appear the new one is better than the old one.
Tried emailing Bowflex a couple of times, no response. Tried contacting them via Facebook where they tell me that I should try giving them a call. Like that is going to work. Listening to the users on the Bowflex Community on Facebook, my story seems to be similar to others, from quality of product to non existent customer service from Bowflex.
Bowflex even put out this letter of apology for the bad customer service, but other than an apology, they haven’t done much to fix the problem. Really wanted to like this treadmill, but the quality is highly questionable if it doesn’t last a week before it starts breaking, combined with no customer service from Bowflex, I have no other real option but to return it and try again with a different brand.
I’ve been a Bowflex user since 1999. I first bought a Bowflex Motivator and yes, it was the original one. I used this Bowflex for 20yrs. Yes, 20yrs! The other time was storage and adding up times I didn’t use it.
I updated cables and handles and only noticed a slight change in the rods as lost resistance but wasn’t much still very usable. I did give it away but as a young man at the time I absolutely loved it and cared for it.
I wanted something new and knew Bowflex has come a long way since my first purchase, and the time it lasted, I knew I wasn’t buying anything if it wasnt BOWFLEX. Plus, Bowflex and I go back a long time.
I decided to get the Bowflex Treadmill 22. Thanks to their easy financing like last time, I was blessed with having the opportunity to buy something that will give whole body workout that will work great for my entire family interest and fitness levels.
I finished my purchase and how they sent a 418lbs package through shipping at lightening speed as they did was astonishing. Just made me feel once again Bowflex wants to keep customers very happy. Yes, I said 418lb package and yes I was disturbed when I found this out, BUT.
It’s may be heavy package but manageable. It really is! Two people can slide it to where ur going to place it and when you open it may seem very over whelming at all the pieces before u but, the weight is now manageable piece by piece.
Now, the over whelming feeling with all these pieces is to relax and don’t even sweat it. There is a video that u can watch as u put it together step by step plus the direction is very layman terms. Halfway through assembly u will be banging it out and be super excited.
After u have it altogether u will instantly know this treadmill a beast. It’s sturdy and the design feels slick and sexy. You have controls everywhere you will hold on and features galore with JRNY. If you want something real then Bowflex in my book knocked it out the park once again.
Will not be disappointed!.
My review was deleted, or went missing? First, I have had this tredmill for a week, the price has dropped *almost* $300 since purchasing. Second, my husband and I put this together; it will definitely test you.
He had a lot of issues getting screw to thread properly with a lot of hole to thread hole mismatch where he ended up having to hold the piece while I threaded it to screw it in or it would stop/catch before it was tight.
Third, from reading reviews now, I am assuming it keeps intermittently losing WiFi connection while using the machine where it abruptly STOPS you. You jerk forward and it actually is an extremely uncomfortable experience if you are at a full run and the machine just stops! Then restarts again, but not after stopping (obviously).
It’s like I am constantly worried it will stop, I will trip and fall (I keep the clip on) then it will start up again. If I keep it on and forward, then down, then it starts again, seems dangerous to have a tredmill do this! I can see the screen pausing, but the entire machine? Just from other reviews you’d think this problem would have been fixed by now! Fourth, I just wanna push the start button, it give me my favorites or suggestioned workouts as an option to choose from and go.
I don’t want to have to do a fitness test (should be optional), I don’t want to have to look for “manual” (which took forever to find at the bottom of the list) then add it to my favorites. I wanted a “normal” treadmill.
My husband wanted all of the other “fancy” options. Fifth, you HAVE to have a subscription to use the streaming that you already pay monthly for. I don’t need a coach or anything else the subscription comes with.
However, my husband likes to watch movies while he runs. Now, if it was so I could use features like *Canvas Student* to watch letures or at leasr screen mirroring so I didn’t have to put my tablet on it, I would pay for the subscription after the free year is up without complaint! However, I guess this is a good way to sucker people into buying it.
We could have gotten one without a screen and set up a TV infront of it in my opinion, but my husband INSISTED on this treadmill and the quality of Boflex products. Sixth, the heart rate band is like pulling teeth to get it to connect! You turn it on, it detects it, then just says it won’t connect no matter how many times you try to connect it.
Says it’s loading, but stimply doesn’t connect, THEN turn it off and on two or three more times to finally gain a connection. Plus, not even the same type as pictured on their website as “included HR band”.
Seventh, only connects to apple watch?? I have a Samsung watch, so I end up having two bands on (different wrists). For Zwift users I guess this is good, I tried to figure that out too, but it’s a member too! Eighth, it was easy enough to set up an account, but you HAVE to have an email.
So, you cannot set up an account for just an adolescent without an email, my son was excited to use it and it say his name. He can use guest, but it’s not the same experience. Positives, it’s a treadmill, with a start button, buttons for acceleration/incline on the main portion, sides rails, and hand grips.

Reviews From Real Customers
Never purchased a treadmill before. This one was recommended by family member who had purchased the TR4000i a few months earlier. I looked at some cheaper brands but believe you get what you pay for.
This unit looks like it will last for years. This unit is well built and packaged very well for shipping. It was received in perfect condition. Only issues I have is it taking way to long to connect the electronic wire connections with confusing wire colors (ve been an electronics tech for decades).
Small metric screw missing for mounting convenience tray. I probably can get from local hardware store but haven’t tried yet. Lastly, the short handles for monitoring your pulse rate, that are in front of the user, are a bit too low for my 6’4†frame.
Their height is not adjustable. I can get a reading using them but can’t hold on to them for more than maybe 30 seconds because of the uncomfortable position their height puts me in. I know there is a strap assembly available to monitor pulse rate but I don’t want to spend anymore money on this.
Overall, this is a quality unit, well built, and should last many years. I would buy again.
Love the treadmill but not the customer service. Have had the treadmill now for 2 months and have not been able to talk to anyone regarding issues with the unit. There is no phone number you can call and talk to someone.
You have to leave a message and receive a call back. Then when they call and you are not available they leave the a non working number. So frustrating. I have never seen anything like the difficulty we have had.
Would definitely look at purchasing a different treadmill if had to do it again just because we can not get follow up service which is much needed.
If your looking for a treadmill that works just look somewhere else. I had nothing but issues with these treadmill 5 months after the purchase. The belt start slipping even after I lubricated right on schedule per the instructions of the manual.
I was advise by Preston Bunnell to call the repair shop to get it diagnosed. The repair shop wanted me charge me $135 to come in and check it and another $90 to come back and replace any parts. Then I will have to wait for the part from LifeSpan to get it and get it replace.
Only after I complaint I was then advise that it was probably the belt and that they will send me a new one. I received a new belt, and instructions in how to change it. I changed the belt and it work perfectly.
Well at least for 2 months. After that the treadmill start slipping again and I was told that I had to get it diagnosed by a certified repair shop. Conveniently enough I couldn’t buy the extended warranty for service anymore from LifeSpan so either I payed to have it diagnosed or end up with a non working $1100 Treadmill that only worked for less than 6 months.
Now because of the current situation on Covid 19 and I wanted to see if I can get it working again but I guess I am out of luck since the warranty for the parts expired now. In retrospect I probably end up paying $50 every time I use the Treadmill for one hour.
While Lifespan already pocketed my $1100 and now it just sitting on my office taking up space. Only reason I haven’t put it on the trash can is because it doesn’t fit. Their product quality- 1 Star because it worked for 6 months Customer Services – 0 Starts because unless you complain they will not care you have a non working treadmill Parts Warranty – 2 Start since I did got a new belt which allowed me to use the treadmill 3 more times after it started slipping again.

Awful. Came in dozens of pieces. Took over an hour just to unbox. The instructions were horrible and half the pieces were warped and wouldn’t go together without a lot of encouragement from a hammer.
The arm on the base that holds the track up when folded sticks and is a nightmare to get it to open to let the base unfold. The hydraulic arm doesn’t work all the time and it’s a struggle to get it to let the base go all the way down (when the other arm isn’t stuck).
I also don’t for one second believe this thing can handle anywhere near 400 pounds. If I could figure out how to repackage and return this thing, I would. (I have owned this brand of treadmill, just an older model, in the past and I loved it.
Definitely not the same quality it used to be! I am also very skilled at assembling all sorts of things, treadmills included. This one really is just a piece of junk. ).
Easy to assemble, but the very first piece that I had to attach was defective. It was too narrow to fit. I contacted the manufacturer and was immediately sent a replacement part at no cost. It arrived within a couple of days.
There was also one area on the main tredmill that was missing a hole for a screw to go in. At that point I decided to continue the assembly without it. I would probably have to take the whole thing back to the store and I didn’t want to deal with that.
It works great even without the missing screw. It dosent take up as much space as I thought it would.

Well, I had some of the same trouble putting this together that others did–the one stabilizer wouldn’t go on because of the adjustment peg, but I tapped it (literally JUST tapped it) into place with a hammer and I was good to go.
As far as the electronics and wires go, you know, you are supposed to shove the extra wire back into the handle and the actual electronic plugs go back into the hole of the computer, right? You should never have dangling wires.
I had one weird screw that fell out from “somewhere” when I was pulling it out of the box, and I’ve yet to figure out where it came from. It’s fairly tiny, too. So it squeaks constantly and it CLUNKS every so often.
And I’m a little irked that it is now about $60 LESS than I paid for it 10 days ago. I’ll contact Walmart about that. Yes indeedy. The instructions are Engrish–when you see phrases like ” Computer got trouble” and “Power IC board get trouble” you know you’re not dealing with something made in an English speaking country.
While there is SOME direction with regard to oiling the belt, this issue doesn’t seem to be coming from the belt, and I don’t think oiling the belt is going to stop the clunking, either. Meh. Not impressed.
Stops every 10 mins, and make a horrible smell. I’m worried I’ve been breathing in some sort of fumes because I’m sitting here feeling like I’m about to throw up. I have to reset the power on it roughly every 10 mins.
It just cuts off. I’m starting to think it’s getting too hot and burning something that’s causing a smell. Not to mention when it stops it’s instantly and very jarring. I’ve nearly fallen a couple of times and it’s made my leg sore.
I had to go to the doctors for Achilles tendonitis. I can’t prove it was the fault of the treadmill but seems odd to happen right after getting this torture contraption. I want to take it back but I really don’t want to have to disassemble it and then put it into my car and drive it to the store.
No box anymore either. BEWARE – You get what you pay for. Also, when it is working, the buttons on the handle are easy to hit by accident and will stop the treadmill. I feel like the other reviews that are positive are from people who don’t actually use this thing.
It seemed great right after putting it together, but some real use shows it’s horrible.
I’ve had this treadmill for about 5 years. It’s great for fast walking or slow jogging. It’s very quiet and folds when not in use. I’ve never had a problem with the performance. I got this for about half the price it’s currently listed at.
I think the prices went up during the pandemic. For a small basic treadmill it’s great.

Reviews From Real Customers
June of 2016 I purchased a Sunny SF 4400 Treadmill. I loved it SO much I literally ran it until I killed it. I contacted Sunny directly and their team worked with me diagnosing what parts I would need.
They didn’t just have me buy parts willynilly – they started off with what we knew was wrong and then worked the problem. When the new parts didn’t make my treadmill go right away – they kept working with me and sent more parts at THEIR expense until my treadmill was running like new! _x000D_ _x000D_ This treadmill is my entire health line during the pandemic and life in general.
If I don’t walk every day – I don’t breath due to a medical condition. Having it back up and running for the price of parts versus a whole new machine (which I can NOT afford to do) has made a world of difference to me.
_x000D_ _x000D_ I love these people/company! If anything happens again I know I can contact this company and they will work with me to get it up and running. _x000D_ _x000D_ HIGHLY RECOMMEND – until I used it to death – this unit NEVER had any issues – now it’s back up and running like the day I got it.
Placed on a level surface, it wobbles when you step on it. It was packed poorly, there was Styrofoam stuck to the belt. Customer service overall was not fantastic, to fix the wobbling I was told to go on Amazon and get those stick on furniture feet.
I was hung up on several times, and had to fight to return the product. For what is a new treadmill, it should be in perfect condition. I had to fight to get a refund, as “it looks like there is nothing wrong with it”.
Even with many photos and videos showing the belt and the wobble, I was told to just clean it (which, paying for a new product, I shouldn’t have to clean something when I buy it), and that the frame looks fine.
It could have simply been an assembly issue.
We had never bought anything this large or $$ before online without seeing it firsthand, so we were not sure what to expect. Any fears we had were unfounded. The delivery was great and the treadmill was well packaged.
No damage intransit. Setup was easy – I even looked at setup videos on youtube that helped. We are amazed at the quality and features of the treadmill. Very high quality, many features, large display, and very quiet! It was a perfect choice for us and how we use it.
The treadmill, delivery process, and setup all exceeded our expectations!.

Reviews From Real Customers
As the gym was becoming problematic, I wanted a quality treadmill that would allow me to continue to exercise safely. This treadmill was on offer and it appeared to be great value for the money. This indeed has proven to be the case and I am delighted with it during the early days.
It is simple to use, and is well constructed and I hope will give me years of service. It does fold, but I feel it will be set up for most of the time. It comes requiring assembly and I managed most of this on my own, but the final parts needed two people.
It is a heavy package, approximately 87 kilos, so manouevering it to where I wanted it was a bit of a challenge. Certain skills are required to assembly the treadmill as well as strength, so buyers beware.
In summary this is a great treadmill and I would recommend it highly.
I got this treadmill for my husband a couple of years ago. It has been quite useful for him on the days he doesn’t power lift and wants to get some cardio in. I’m not a huge fan of treadmills typically because of how hard they feel on my feet, however, this treadmill has the “proShox” performance cushioning that definitely makes it easier on your feet and legs (and especially your knees).
I love that you are able to lift up bottom portion of it and fold it up for easy storing if you don’t have full space for it. It also comes with access to the iFit app which allows you to train with personal trainers and take courses and the likes.
You can add a tablet to it in order to get the “scenic” courses. This past week we had our very first issue arise with it. For some reason upon being turned on, the incline rose all the way up and wouldn’t stop even with pressing the stop button.
Then it finally went all the way back down, however it wouldn’t change after that at all no matter what you pressed. I ended up figuring out that the incline needed to be re-calibrated. If you need to recalibrate yours, just Google it and you’ll be able to find a quick step by step.
All in all, this is an amazing treadmill for extensive home use. My husband is a large built 6’3” man and he has no issues with it. It’s been great for his post Marine Corps knees as well (if you’re a USMC folk too, you know exactly what that means).
.
The machine works OK but the quality of workmanship is not great. During assembly it was quite hard to align some of the parts due to slightly inaccurate manufacture. The machine has a cheap feel to it compared to a previous machine we had (which is now sadly very old and had to be replaced).
During operation it is quite noisy, and you can clearly hear the motor straining, so probably not powerful enough for a heavy adult (100kg). Also the inbuilt speakers are a good idea but they’re quite tinny sounding and do not produce enough volume, considering the noise already being made by the motor and the fan.

The Asuna manual treadmill is well built, heavy duty and sturdy. It was simple to set up and to operate. The adjustable incline and resistance provide enough options to vary routines as much as I want.
I am 6′ tall, and find the arms high enough to support me during a workout. I’m not a runner, but I find that walking briskly on an incline gives me an excellent, challenging workout. It does not have a computer, but I wanted to monitor speed and distance while exercising, so I purchased a Ruun treadmill sensor (very easy to install), which shows me my speed, incline, time, and heart rate (with Polar arm HRM) on the free app GymTrakr, which then sends all the data to Strava when my workout is finished.
I am very happy I choose this manual treadmill.
It’s awesome, magnet control – no electricity required! You can adjust different levels/resistance and easily adjust from small to steep inclines. It’s a really nice, smooth walk and QUIET! I went downstairs and literally stood under the room while my husband was walking on the treadmill — I could barely hear a thing! Box fans are louder! Terrific treadmill, I highly recommend to anyone looking to buy one!.
Love it ! Just what I needed !! Super smooth operation and I personally feel it’s a much better workout than a motor type treadmill …I use it at max incline and walk only as I am over 50 years old …changing the resistance is extremely simple as well ….
This thing will “ get the job done and done well “.

Reviews From Real Customers
Have had this treadmill for a couple weeks and my initial impression is that I am impressed overall though it has some less than desirable traits. First the build, pretty straight forward for the most part but one problem I ran across and have seen other reviews state the same thing, there are plastic cover pieces that connect the handle handle bars and console.
These are just cosmetic pieces to cover where the connection between the two units occur. Talk about a PITA, you have to connect a super tiny screw from underneath through the plastic piece to the console area.
This alone was over half the time the build required and even at that I was only able to get 3 of the 4 screws in the right location. The forth screw is angled inside the side of the plastic piece. Bad design but it doesnt affect the overall use of the treadmill.
The treadmill itself and power it has really feels like a solid unit. The motor is quiet in comparison to some other treadmills I have used and when it elevates its very smooth. The basic programs and functionality of the unit work great and I enjoy the basic screen display.
Overall the controls are pretty well though out. One issue I had was the User 1 and User 2 settings. Either I don’t fully understand how to use these or they are not very functional. It isnt something I would have needed anyways.
Couple things to keep in mind as far as the Sole Apps, the two Android apps are useless. First they wouldnt work, they were glitchy and pretty useless to keep track of your workouts. I use another app on my phone and manually enter my data.
There is a program called Studio that they show on the Sole website that offers 30 days free trial which is a digital fitness platform. Here comes the issue with that, its only for iOS products, so if you are like 70+ percent of the public and use Android you wont be able to use this platform.
Nowhere on the Sole website does it state this information. I had to contact Studio and they informed me only Apple products are supported and no plans to move to Android in the future. So that was a bummer.
The fan and speaker on the unit are useless. Which I think won’t really matter for most people. Most treadmills have weak fans and anyone who needs air flow will have a powerful fan off to the side blowing on them.
The Tiny speakers don’t really come into play either because just like most people you either don’t have any entertainment on and go quiet running, have a tv on in front of you are use headphones and stream your music.
These are all things future models could improve on but are not the main reason you buy a treadmill. Overall value is excellent though and the hope is it will continue to perform well for years to come.
This was actually my second choice in treadmills but had to go pick it up because of a big issue with Nordictrack aka iFit. I have iFit products and have enjoyed the on screen workouts but had some issues with their equipment.
Regardless I purchased a 1750 direct from Nordictrack which was only supposed to take a couple weeks to be shipped and received. Well long story short, they shipped in 3 days, the delivery company had the product but wouldn’t schedule delivery, nobody ever called me to schedule a date.
After two months of endless phone calls to Nordictrack they finally cancelled my order out of the blue. Seems as though Nordictrack/iFit is having some huge problems with distribution and nobody at that company wanted to help.
So after the cancellation instead of ordering online Dicks had the F80 (which was my initial second choice) in stock where I could go pick it up and be done. The people at Dicks were very nice and helped load the big box.
I highly recommend the staff at Dicks over these online direct ship retailers.
This is a great treadmill! We are very happy with this purchase. It feels very sturdy, runs smoothly, and it looks great. We bought this thinking that we needed something as quiet as can be, and this is even quieter than I expected! If you turn off the fan, it makes it even quieter.
We have this on a treadmill mat on carpet, and it’s very stable. The folding up feature of the treadmill makes it easy to save a bit of space when needed, and makes vacuuming underneath a breeze. To be able to push the lever and then let it fall slowly all on its own back to running position is important.
I didn’t want a treadmill that could fall and hurt kids or a pet if it gets bumped, and I didn’t want to trust our teen to rely on strength to lower it safely. The iPad holder (including for the larger Pro) with a USB-A charging port there means that the whole family can cycle through taking turns while having some entertainment.
I used a stick-on clip to position a charging cord there, and that cord now blends in and lives right there all the time. I really like the incline and speed up and down buttons on the left and right arms.
They are very convenient. There are tons of great storage spaces for water bottles, towels, phones, things from your pockets, etc. Additional comments / potential improvements:People have mentioned that the lag time between selecting an incline and getting to that incline is slow, but this doesn’t bother me at all.
It seems to start on its way right away and make slow, gradual motion until it gets there. No problem! I’m not trying to simulate speed bumps. I have no problem with the behavior of this treadmill in that regard.
My one complaint (it’s a small thing, but for me, personally, it’s a tough one) is that there is no hundredths place on the mileage. This is such an easy thing to have included that it’s disappointing it’s not there.
I, and many others I know, make running on a treadmill into a mind game. “Just a little further. ” “I’ll stop when I get another quarter mile in. ” I can’t do that NEARLY so effectively when I don’t see the hundredths place tick by.
I wish Sole had enabled that resolution or at least provided a setting to show it for those of us who do want it. This comment is here mostly in hopes Sole will see it and make a change to future models, because overall, the product is a winner, but had I realized this ahead of time, I may not have wound up with this product.
Regardless, I’m glad we did, because this is a great treadmill!.
It is a complicated thing to design and manufacture a treadmill; to send it from the factory in China; to have it shipped from the port in Los Angeles to me in San Francisco; to have technicians set it up all this was done, even in the midst of this pandemic, smoothly.
I dealt with companies in Salt Lake City, Texas and Oakland, not to mention the engineers who designed it, the company in China which did the assembly, packing and shipping, and the ocean freighter which brought it to Los Angeles, and everything was coordinated to perfection.
I admire whoever is overseeing the system. It seems strange that an ordinary person like me should be able to own such a miracle of fabrication and organization. I had a treadmill before, which was probably a good brand, but which failed probably because I over-oiled it.
But I like this one better. Strangely, because it seems so trivial, one of the things I like best is that the Sole has a stand on which I can put my iPad and watch movies. The model I had before required that I rest the iPad over the control screen.
This caused my wife to have an accident, because she did not see the control screen (the iPad was resting on it) as she pushed the acceleration button past the speed she could handle. Small things, but important.
One improvement Sole could make is make it possible to dim the control screen so that its light does not interfere with the movie you are watching. I had to put a piece of cardboard over the control screen to block out the light, which is somewhat low-tech but effective.

Reviews From Real Customers
I love this treadmill. I have only had it a week-BUT NO issues. It was VERY easy to put together and it is VERY quiet when walking on it. I thoroughly researched all different kinds of treadmills and decided on this one, partly due to customer reviews and my own personal needs (I have previously had back surgery and walk everyday).
I do not run, only walk, but at a brisk pace. I bought this one to have at my mother’s when I visit her. When I need to replace the treadmill I currently have at my house-I already know what I will buy-A SUNNY FITNESS TREADMILL!!!!!!.
Once it got here (COVID environments + Christmas shipping clogups = Nightmare 3 weeks waiting + scheduling delivery) I didn’t blame them for it though. I was able to track my shipment the whole way through with their shipping company and the delivery guys were professional and courteous.
The directions were easy to follow. I was able to put it together in just under 30 minutes and could’ve done it faster, but didn’t want to mess it up. A socket wrench with an allen wrench bit would’ve made this go a lot quicker.
Anyway, the treadmill works great so far. Bluetooth pairing was easy. Don’t expect much from the speakers, but I can hear them fine. You’re not going to get fidelity of sound out of them jokers so let that go and get some quality earbuds.
Mine is pointed right at the window so I have a nice view of the back yard and can zone out in nature or close the curtains and watch Netflix on my phone or tablet. Looking forward to checking out the Sunny YouTube videos.
And no I don’t work there. I was reading reviews just like you’re doing right now and found myself saying he probably works there. Naw, I’m just happy with the purchase (so far). Now if this thing breaks down, you’ll see a different review.
lol.

Reviews From Real Customers
Just purchased my PROFORM® CARBON T7 treadmill. It does not operate as I expected. I am not interested in iFit at all, I only need to use manual settings. Also, I don’t need “warm up”. When I turn on the treadmill, I would like to be able to set the speed and just go without playing with touch screen while the belt is already going.
I also don’t want to change the incline all the time, I want it fixed at 5%. I asked if there a way to completely disable iFit and operate this machine in manual mode? Can the incline stay fixed if I don’t want to change it? Can warmup be disabled? The help desk said no to everything.
Apparently, iFit company wants to upsell treadmills to monthly fees for iFit service making the treadmill software and the treadmill itself almost unusable. I recommend staying away from this uncaring and greedy company.
I have been pleased with the treadmill and its performance so far. It is easy to pull down and gently drops. I keep it up to save space. It is quiet enough so I can hear my audiobook without a headset.
The fan is not quiet nor does it cool you, useless. I use a floor fan instead. I didn’t sign up for the iFit one month free feature. It was not worth it to do. If you are going to offer this, it should be at least 6 months or a year free.
I only use the manual mode which has limited features. The speakers should have bluetooth capacity. They are useless unless you use the iFit. A jack to be able to use the speakers would have worked also.
That is my main issue with this machine, the technology not included. Had the Totaltech team install it and was very pleased. It is worth the money to do unless you have another person to help you and time.
I would purchase again or find one with bluetooth speakers.
I give the treadmill a 2 star because of how difficult set up was. This was due to not initally being able to get the console to screw into the handles on one side. It also took my husband 2 days to build because the screws that come with this were too big for the holes drilled into the handles for the handle covers to stay on.
I have used the treadmill for walking and jogging and i love that. Not quite sure if i like the ifit enough to keep paying for it once the trial is over. Overall for me the treadmill is nice once you get past set up.
I understand you hqve the option to have someone else build it for you for like $200 but if the stuff that comes with the thing don’t fit im not sure how thats helpful. Oh and we utilized the app alkng with the paper instructions for comparison having tbe interactive app did help some.

After set up. I have had my treadmill now for a few months and I love it. The iFIT system has so many different options. You dont have to just use the program for the treadmill you can do other programs such as yoga or workout programs.
The have some amazing instructors who make classes enjoyable and makes you want to continue doing the program. Some of the programs change the settings such as incline and speed to make it feel life like.
There are a lot of nice features one of course being the monitor. It also has an amazing heart rare monitor that is accurate and is helpful in keeping you on your target zone. There is a fan to help cool you down.
A bottle holder up top to make it easier to grab and see so youre bit fumbling around. It has an emergency stop key should you slip. The belt is quite and has a nice shock rebound while running so it doesn’t bother your body while running.
I tore my knee last year which is why I purchased a treadmill it is much easier on my knee and body. The screen is 22 inches and easy to see and watch programs. The screen is touch screen and easy to control.
There is a nice range when it comes to incline and speed. – 3-12% for the incline and has a max speed of 12mph. This is a well made treadmill. Everything was made to last. The frame is steel and has a few plastic features to protect you.
It is nicely packed and comes in a few pieces. The bottom portion which is slightly heavy. my husband and I were able to carry it from our garage to about 30 feet I would recommend getting two stronger people to bring in it is heavy and limited area to lift.
The belt portion is easy to lift so you can install the bar to lift up and store away. The belt extends 60 inches which allows for a great extension or great for people with long strides. The main setup is the arms and monitor portion of the treadmill.
The direction are wonderful and everything is nicely labeled. It side has right or left and all the nuts and screws are individually packaged and tells you which step you need to use them for. Assembly took us about 45 min and 20 minutes to install programing on monitor.
I love proform I have a few of there products and I will always be a returning customer.

I received this treadmill complimentary in exchange for my unbiased opinion. The delivery process went incredible smooth, the packaging came in excellent condition and there was no physical damage to the unit itself.
The installation was a little time consuming, I would recommend paying someone else to do the install if possible. The instructions were clear, but the unit is pretty heavy and more than one person is needed for a few steps.
The appearance of the treadmill is excellent, its sleek, looks of high quality, and comes with a great 22 inch screen. The screen has been a fantastic feature, one that I enjoyed more than I initial thought I would as someone who doesn’t always care about the newest best technology.
The software that comes with it as well as what’s included in the paid ifit membership. I am more of a speed walker and incline walker, than a runner, but do jog once or twice a week. The incline and decline feature has been more than sufficient for what is needed.
Overall I have truly enjoyed my experience and think the unit is made of high quality and am excited to continue to use my treadmill.

Reviews From Real Customers
My husband bought this treadmill and as a manufacturing employee for 15 years (and my husband a Mechanical and Repair Manager) of an ATM Company, we both are asking ourselves if this company even has a Quality Department.
Packing was excellent, and the quality and assembly of the product of the treadmill itself is well made and easy enough to assemble, however the plastic control panel is horrible quality for assembly per molding of the plastic.
The screws for the bar in front absolutely will not snap together no matter how you loosely you tighten the screws in the back. Turns out the screws included for the front plastic bar is not near long enough.
Either that or the inside top 4 bosses does not meet up with the inside bottom bosses. This issue also causes the plastic arm pieces not to rest correctly. Another issue is the bottom screw holes on the metal arm rails, that the plastic bottom arm rail cover screw to, are not tapped out so now we have to go buy a tap so the screws will screw in.
I had read before purchasing that you do not need a subscription to activate the treadmill, however that little trick is hidden from the purchaser. To run the treadmill in manual mode you have to press the blue IFIT button on the top right on the control panel 15 seconds then FINALLY you can use the treadmill in manual mode.
I do understand wanting to sell the service but it is quite deceptive to not include that instruction in the manual. After all, the customer DID spend over $600 on the physical product and more than deserves to have clear written instructions on how to make their treadmill work.
There are plenty of die hard Apple-Heads globally who I’m quite sure the ifit service is more than financially supported. Much, much appreciation to the person a few reviews before me that gave instruction as to how to run in manual mode.
I would say that I wouldn’t buy this again for those issues, however I would then have to add nothing beats a well made old treadmill, but those days are long gone. The treadmill and features themselves really are good.
• I know they don’t build things like they used to, but the new 5000 is extremely disappointing in fit, finish, materials, and sturdiness in comparison to our current (and quite old) ProForm we were trying to replace.
• My general recommendations after this experience would be: • Don’t purchase any large heavy exercise equipment you haven’t examined and used in-store, as logistically and financially it can be very impractical to return • Don’t buy any iFit enabled exercise equipment unless you intend to maintain one of those relatively expensive iFIT subscriptions for the life of the equipment (note this can easily cost more than the equipment over the life of that equipment).
• Consider purchasing delivery and/or assembly options for larger/heavier equipment if it needs to go up or down stairs to get to its desired location • As to the ProForm 5000 • It has no way to permanently bypass iFit so every time you want to use it you have to go through a multi step bypass process, its “50 internal programs” don’t seem to number anywhere near 50 and they are heavily interspersed with many more locked programs you have to browse through to get to the built in ones, and “manual” use still requires the bypass and is incredibly rudimentary and unattractive.
• The console is sleek an clean looking with good control layouts but constructed largely of thin and fragile feeling hard plastic, and ill-fitting components and cladding with sharp edges and gaps. The whole console is easy to shake around significantly with one finger and a water bottle in the water bottle rattles around even when walking slowly on the treadmill.
The large fan enclosure that looks like it holds two fans side by side is mostly facia with one small noisy fan in the center third. It has four speeds and generates a reasonable air flow but there is no directional adjustment and is directed at your stomach if you are of average height.
• The treadmill base is generally quiet when running but mine has a periodic grinding sound that I believe is the belt grinding on some of the plastic cladding at some point but I haven’t isolated it yet as it makes the sound only when someone is on it.
The elevation adjustment is noisy and slow and returns to 0 at the end of each exercise session. • Overall I would not recommend it to anyone given its quality and value for money and its very poor user experience without an iFIT subscription.
I searched awhile for a new treadmill and decided on the ProForm 5000. ProForm now has a 2000 which replaced the 5000 but it is virtually the same machine for the same price. I think this has a slightly larger motor but the size and capabilities are the same.
Both ProForm and Best Buy offer free shipping but I bought from BB because I wanted the delivery, installation and removal which I eventually cancelled because all they could offer was the service 6 weeks after the arrival of the treadmill.
so we painstakingly did it all ourselves. It is a very heavy piece of equipment and we were placing it on a second floor so that took 3 people. The assembly was 4 hrs and you definitely need 2 people.
The reason it took so long was that screws didn’t fit the holes that were predrilled in several places so we had to improvise. Honestly was a nightmare for us but it’s up and running. I’m impressed with the 14″ touch screen , the bluetooth speakers and the cushioned deck.
The motor is super quiet and smooth. We are not using iFit but on this machine it’s not a problem at all like the reviews I read from others. When you start the machine it gives you an option to set up an account for iFit or manual mode.
Maybe this is because it is a version before they made iFit necessary to start the programs? It does have wifi but that only works with iFit. The bluetooth works with my music apps on my phone as well as video audio but not phone audio.
I LOVE the 14″ touch screen and monitor set up. The fan is positioned lower than on my Horizon treadmill so I can actually feel it better. So far no complaints & I am truly enjoying this treadmill. It’s a solid machine, great running deck and quiet.
Perfect for home use. A side note: Best Buy’s delivery guys were awesome!!.

It performs as it should. Somewhat difficult to line up parts during assembly. Difficult to gain access under belt to apply lubrication. The wheels on the unit provided to move the treadmill from one location to another are not adequate nor functional.
The treadmill is quiet during use. It is safer to use than most other treadmills due to the side railings. We are happy with it.
Great treadmill. I am a Plus member of many years. I had just gotten out of the hospital after a month long bout of issues that kept me bedridden and needing to learn to be mobile again. I found this item.
Only 3 left. I immediately researched this product and found Sam’s price the lowest of anywhere )plus no shipping. I snatched this treadmill up. My home therapist was skeptical when I told him what I had ordered the next day.
Now after a friend put this together with no problems. My therapist wonders why everyone does not know about this treadmill. I stand taller than when using a roll-a-tor for mobility. I am starting out slow (0.
2) and can only do a minute at this time. But every minute is a step in the direction of mobility again. I can not recommend this treadmill highly enough for anyone going through health issues and in need of rehabilitation.

- You set your own rhythm and pace–and not try to keep up with a motored belt.
- You cannot overstride with a foot landing way out in front. You will stop moving.
- You engage the powerful muscles in the posterior chain (the glutes especially).
- For those who like being off the grid, no electricity is needed.

The TrueForm Trainer is by far the best treadmill I’ve ever run on. I’m normally an outdoor runner and have always hated treadmills because they feel so unnatural to run on but this machine has changed that.
With less time available these days to dedicate to driving to my favorite running locations I’ve taken to running much more at home and I actually look forward to my run on this every day. That said, I do have a few complaints about the machine.
The heart rate display is useless if you are in the Garmin ecosystem, it only will connect to Polar. The User Manual is equally useless, it’s so vague you might as well not read it. Also, my Trainer arrived unlevel.
There are leveling bolts on the back footrest that can be adjusted with a 19mm wrench but again, that wasn’t even mentioned in the User Manual. And finally, I think they should have made it heavier because it has a tendency to want to slowly move across the floor over time.
I’ll probably end up fabricating some sort of brace to hold the wheels in place.
Recent splurge addition to my garage gym. I also have a motorized treadmill. Quick shipping. About 15 mins from unpacking to running. Well made. Great option for bad weather or limited outdoor running options.
I mostly use for shorter runs and sprint WODs. Outstanding run feel. Quiet operation. How it outperforms motorized treadmill: no start up delay. You can hop on and sprint 50 meters without delay. Very pleased with purchase.
Easy set up. Works great. Super construction. Will outlast me. Home use. Wanted the best. Got the best. Very convenient. Live in high altitude with snow 8 month/ year, so it’s perfect for me. Very good packaging; came on pallet.
Easy to move around. Bought the display; works very well. Rogue sells the best equipment if it’s Made in the USA. I have bought imported products, but they never last.

This is my third ProForm treadmill in 25 years. From my experience, this model is definitely a great product for the price. The shock absorbing engineering allows me to run (even at my advancing age) without the jarring impact on my knees, hips and ankles.
The screen and graphics are very high quality, and the iFit programs really make the workout go quickly. I prefer running outside, but six months of the year, it’s almost impossible with snowy weather.
The iFit workout videos allow you to follow different trainers run, walk and hike in a variety of places all over the world. They have upbeat music, different levels of difficulty and beautiful scenery.
Some days I want to control my workout, and the manual options that allow you to adjust speed and incline, are simple and straightforward. However, some days it’s nice to just select a workout from hundreds of options, and just escape (a WIFI connection is required).
As far as the options go, I’m 5’3″, and this treadmill fit my size and stride well. My husband is 6’5″, and the belt is too short for him. If you are a larger person, I would recommend paying more for the longer, wider belt on some of the higher end models.
I was given this product in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.
This is a sturdy, quiet and comfortable treadmill. When running at high rate of speed it feels as if it is absorbing the shock making it easier on your ankles and knees. I was surprised at how quiet it was when changing inclines.
It is well made and sturdy so even when running or changing inclines your tablet does not move. I wish the display screen was a little larger so when you are following their programmed workouts you can see the graphs or maps better.
I enjoy the destination workouts as you follow still pictures through different locations throughout the world. Whether you feel like walking along rural roads in Brazil or through the busy streets of London your workout take you on a journey.
The incline increases or decreases as you follow along, if you are going uphill, up steps, into different buildings or on flat ground. I am please with the upgraded electronics, the fact they added a place to hold your tablet and the added bonus of a 10 pound kettle ball.
The last treadmill we purchased was a Pro-Form almost 20 years ago and put countless miles on it with zero problems, we are excited and have no doubt that this treadmill will last us the next 20 years.
I was given this product in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.
Be advised that the shipped un-assembled item weighs over 200 pounds. We opened the box and removed as much weight as possible accept the lower treadmill module (which is still plenty heavy! We then protected the treadmill module with packing material and moved this to the assembly point in our home.
Assembly is much easier with 2 people and Proform strongly recommends this at several points during the assembly process. We did have to re-tap the threads on 2 holes on the left and right uprights. Proform did a poor job of tapping the machine threads at the tops of the vertical supports.
I think the machine screws would have cross threaded had I not re-tapped them. Once together the 400i has a very solid feel and the belt moves smoothly. We like the basic treadmill very much. Some additional issues: We were unsuccessful turning off the default DEMO mode which is frequently on for store display.
A separate sheet was included with the assembly/instruction manual that stated that instructions to turn of the DEMO mode were in the assembly/instruction manual. they are not so I had to call Customer Support who were quite helpful.
Calling Proform should not have been necessary. The 400i has 18 workout apps (programs). The instruction manual does a terrible job of explaining how to use them and never tells you what each app actually does.
The app are Tempo 1-9 and Interval Training 1-9 (18 totaled together). There is absolutely NO information what these mean in terms of speed range or deck inclination!! That’s really poor. Come on Proform, you can do better than that! Another reviewer had similar complaints about the apps.
It’s also not clear what we need to do to interface iFit with the 400i. Do we have to purchase the iFit Module ( in addition to the iFit subscription) or can we interface directly with the iFit and 400i using our iPad.
Overall the treadmill is a very good value for the money. Hopefully the above negative issues will be addressed by Proform.
Conclusion
If you’re looking for a treadmill with a weight capacity of 400 lbs or more, you’ll have plenty of options to choose from. Some of the top models in this category include the Sole F85, the Nordictrack X22i Incline Trainer, and the Proform PRO 9000.
All of these treadmills offer plenty of features and benefits that can help you get a great workout, regardless of your weight. For instance, the Sole F85 has a powerful 4. 0 CHP motor that can handle even the heaviest users, while the Nordictrack X22i Incline Trainer has a massive 40% incline range that can really help you burn calories and tone your muscles.
No matter which model you choose, you can be sure that you’re getting a high-quality treadmill that can accommodate your weight and help you get in shape.
