I am really pleasantly surprised with these boots. I work in a business that supplies agricultural fencing, so I am in a warehouse environment on concrete for at least eight hours out of my day. They are very comfortable and my feet have not been fatigued at all.
I have worn them for general farm and ranch work as well, and somehow they still look really good. I am so happy that Carhartt is finally making wedge sole style boots in women’s sizes. I purchased a 6.
5 and they fit true to size.
well made, cool look. not warm. they have no lining that would keep your feet warm. So i would suggest wearing these in the spring/summer/fall. I have worn then in NE Ohio, all winter, and they are okay with 2 pairs of warm socks.
But you will feel the cold if you stomp around in the snow.
Just want to let u know that I’m in a union every 3 thousand of my union brothers willl not purchase anything from DSW. I ordered boots and received a pair without steel toes and when I let one of your associates know I was told you ordersed the wrong pair and hung up on me to I just want to let you know the quality of your workers is poor and I buy 5 pairs a year Disgruntled indeed.

I’ve ordered Nautilus shoes before. I ordered shoes that were an inch larger and they were too big. Therefore, this time I ordered an inch smaller (my true size) and they feel too small. I thought they would give a little after wearing them for a couple of days, but they haven’t.
The last pair (different style) did however.
Shoe feels a little snug as first, but quickly relaxes around your foot. The toe cap does not dig into your feet (once shoe relaxes-within an hour or two). Very happy. Previously, I would buy extra wide so toe cup wouldn’t hurt.
I bought these in regular width and do not have any issues. I did put in Dr. Scholl’s gel sole liners to provide extra cushion as I stand on concrete floor most of day. I would buy these again without hesitation.
Shoe did relax initially but still provides a good, comfortable fit (not too loose!).

They probably would have been very comfortable if I could have fit my foot through the top of the boot. The opening at the top was so tight I struggled for several minutes to get my foot through and into the boot.
The elastic panels did not stretch enough to widen the opening far enough to put my foot through. Even using a shoe horn did not help. I returned them and was issued a refund less a $5. 00 service charge.
So it ended up costing me $5. 00 for a pair of boots which I could not put on and no longer have.
My husband needed new work boots for his fabrication job recently. I had checked out Amazon, DSW and a few other retailers. At DSW, I put 3 in the cart to select from. He settled on the Caterpillar Wheelbase boots.
At a cost comparison, DSW had the best price point. He was very impressed with the boots. Said they were one of the most comfortable boots he had worn (he does also add inserts). He also likes the slip on vs tie up, and nice brown color.
And, an added feature is the steel toe that does not look bulky. This one was a winner :).
Received it pretty quick. First ever CAT brand for me. Glad I ordered one size up as I usually put my favorite insole. Initially the pair gave me quite inflexible impression. But, after about 8hours of use, they were broken-in.
Me, I like solid-feeling sole for support They fit me just fine. Toe-box could be a bit wider even though I ordered wide. Durability, I will see.

Reviews From Real Customers
I’ve been wearing this style at work for about 6 years now and I pray these never discontinue! I’m on my third pair and while they ARE super durable and well made, their lifespan ultimately depends on the work you do.
I work on bridges so there’s heavy equipment, somebody is always dropping tools, but mostly I like steel toe for the falling rocks lol the shaft is a great height and I love the slip on feature because I am constantly changing into hip boots or chest waders and don’t have the patience for laces (though I do have a pair of the paisley work boots- I like ‘em).
These are just my absolute favorites and when they ran out of my size I was panicked I’d never get another pair. If you haven’t shopped around, let me save you the time by saying you won’t find tall slip-on steel toe women’s boots ANYWHERE.
Good women’s work boots are few and far between. These aren’t even expensive (in my opinion) and worth every penny. They fit true to size for me and I was able to wear wool socks in the winter. I will say they are comfortable enough, when I did start having some foot pain with longer days I just went and bought some dr scholls inserts and never had another problem.
I also recommend using Bear Grease or some other leather conditioner before wearing. These are a bit heavier than other boots I’ve had, but you get used to that fairly quickly.
There are things that I love about these boots and some things not so much. There’s nothing wrong with the boots, per se, but the way my ankles fit are always. I ruptured my achilles several years back which causes me great difficulties in finding good fitting footwear.
In this case, the angle of the ankle seam runs exactly in the spot that my scar sits and rubs uncomfortably :). I have what I call “kankles” ( calves that go to my feet AKA fat ankles) anyways so the swollen scar doesn’t help.
On a positive note, these boots fit my kankles! The seam is just in a weird spot that runs on both ankles. I’ve been wearing them around the house with thick wool socks so hopefully this will resolve the discomfort.
On another note of fitting well I generally wear a 7. 5 or 8. I ordered both sizes W for a side by side, and the 7. 5 fit just fine with a little wiggle room. I also wear an orthopedic insole and still had room.
My toes can move freely and front to back still has space to breath. All in all these are super cute and I’m excited to get them broken in better so I can wear them everywhere I go! They are the perfect style for work and play!.
I love these boots and have wore them for years on the jobsite! A few years ago I broke my leg pretty bad, couldn’t get these on at all after that. Once I got more flex in my ankle I tried again and waa laa!! they fit.
Problem is, every time I order them, although I get the same size, they are different. Ordered a pair a couple months ago, the shaft of the boot is too small for my good foot to fit! Have to stop buying them as those boots are still in my closet in the box :(.
Please put a full length zipper on the inside of these boots so I may stock up :).

My son goy me my first pair of Driving moccasins. Those had a couple of laces on them. They rapidly became my favorites and I think I wore them some of almost every day. The thing that stood out for me was how well they survived that kind of wear and the second thing I liked about them was how comfortable they were.
And how easy it was to remove the inner sole and clean them up in no time at all. I finally wore through the heal on both shoes. so I ordered another pair. this time I got some without laces and they are working as well as the ones that had laces.
They also are supposedly built so that the heal will fold down and they will work as slip ons. I haven’t explored that yet. Really enjoying the looks, the comfort, and the support.
These shoes are super comfortable according to my husband! We bought these as a quick jump in and comfy shoe to wear with jeans but pretty soon he was wearing them for everything! Mowing the lawn, working in the shop, chopping wood and going to town! Pretty soon we decided to get another pair that he could wear when we were running to town and he needed presentable shoes on! We went on vacation and came home and a pair was missing… 2 weeks later our 21 year old grandson came walking in and the missing pair were on his feet!! He also loves them!! He said oh I forgot to tell papa I borrowed them! We told him to keep them and I went on line and ordered 2 more pairs! One for my husband and one for our grandson! They both say it’s like having slippers on! My husband is 74 and there is over 50 year between them! Definitely a hit!!.
I have worn out 3 pairs of these, just bought a new pair of that tells you anything. I install floors and do other handyman repairs so they get a LOT of use. I should wear steel toes but any thing else is heavy and slows me down.
Love them and recommended if you want lightness and comfortable. They will stretch out a bit with use, maybe a half size. I wear 11. 5 anything else but I gett 11s in these.

Appears to be an excellent high quality shoe. Was excited to finally receive them but very disappointed that when they finally came after10 days that they were far oversized than any other 10. 5 W shoe ive ever tried on even when ordering online.
Now cant wear them, have to wait to send back (they did give me free shipping on return) hope that a 9. 5 W will fit and wait to recieve the new pair (which they dont have in my color for 2 months so grudgingly im switching) Frustrating.
The customer service rep was unsympathetic, curt and unfriendly. Basically told me there is no standard for sizing in the shoe industry. Im not a footwear professional so maybe im wrong but in my experience everyone ive ever tried are fairly close including but not limited to florsheim, brooks, merrell, new balance, ecco, wolverine, nike.
Im really hoping the replacement will fit and in the end will be a good experience. The shoe appearance, quality, comfort really seemed impressive. Even the insole was way above par. Also is fair to mention these shoes are Reeboks which I haven’t worn since my teen yrs (long time ago 😉 ).
Maybe they just run different?. Ill follow up when I get the new pair.
Most uncomfortable standing on a sideways slope. Footpad begins to roll, throwing into awkward posture. The laces are there for show only from what i can tell. they didnt snug up the shoe at all. Could feel the steel cap biting into side of foot.
Wore them about 5 times. Most uncomfortable steel toe shoes ive ever worn.

My husband right away felt relief when I purchased the first pair of these shoes for him. He has worn them every day at work on concrete floors for the past year. He feet and leg pain has been much relieved since wearing these Shoes.
I remember as a young girl My dad wore Mason shoes and bragged on how wonderful they were. So when my husband had feet and leg pains from Being on his feet all day I went To the website and found these.
He loves them. So I got The 2nd pair early for a Christmas gift. Thank you!.
Over the years and trying many different pairs of safety shoes I’ve found these to be the best fit and feel for me. My usual problem is the steel toe rubbing against my big toes, causing pain, blisters and corns.
These shoes don’t do that. They provide plenty of room for my big toes and once I have them broken in I forget I’m wearing safety shoes. They’re so comfortable there have been many times I’ve accidentally worn them home because I forgot to swap them with my street shoes before I left work.

Bought these as a Christmas gift to self. Wore them to work in the oilfield day after Christmas. Early January 2022 was on a job in the rain feeling warm n toasty until my left heel began to feel wet, sure enough the boot was leaking.
I was honestly loving these boots in spite of the leak, rather rapidly the inner left heel began to cant downward making the left boot a nuisance and uncomfortable also throwing my 61 year old body out of alignment.
I’ve been wearing work boots singe age 14, 47 years and have never had this kind of failure with a pair of work boots. This is the very 1st pair of Dan Post boots I’ve ever owned, been wearing Western style boots since before I can remember.
My backup pair of another brand name are back to work while waiting for the new boots ordered a few days ago. Not seeing the option to post photos so people can see how the inside of the left has collapsed or something the whole boot is titled.
The boots are comfortable while I’m wearing them, it’s just trying to get the darn things off that has made it impossible for me to wear them. The inside insulation is coming out of the boot & it wraps around my foot when attempting to get them off.
I’ve spent 20 minutes standing beside my car when leaving work trying to get these boots off my foot so I can go home. My legs are so dang sore from pulling & pulling. After getting them off my feet I’ve been barely able to lift my legs to get my other shoes on that I wear home.
Until I can cut out the insulation that’s keeping my foot from coming out, I will be wearing an old pair of boots I have in order to keep from going through what I have been trying to get them off my feet.
It’s just not worth the trouble for me. Hopefully soon I will have enough money to go back & buy Ariats, which I know I can get off my foot. If the insides weren’t coming out I would continue to wear these but, it’s unfortunate cause they are extremely comfortable.
I’m ordering my husbands 4th pair of DP69402’s today! He loves them! He’s 67 y/o, very active, 6’ 2” & 248 lbs. He wears an 11EE in this particular style and sometimes 12EE, in other brands and styles, such as Danner military boots, used for hunting.
His lifestyle and job require waterproof footwear. Just the morning dew on the grass will wet your socks otherwise. And even though he wears the soles of these boots down, mainly the left heel, they all have remained waterproof.
Our experience with the 3 pair so far, has not been that the boots run small or large and we’ve never had an issue with the “waterproofing not lasting. ” They look good, feel good and support well! Thank you Dan Post for these boots.
that we stumbled across while visiting your store in my home town of El Paso Texas!!.

Give it some time for them to feel more comfortable to wear as you would for any other boot. They look great and feel great & they do the job. I like the ease of slipping them on and off as needed. Wore mine camping in the rain and kept my feet dry.
They did get quite dirty but I gave them a quick wipe over with a damp cloth when I got home and they look like new again. I believe there is special cleaner you can buy if you needed to. I bought online so I was initially worried about the fit , but they were the same as any other shoe sizing.
I guess if you’re wearing thick work socks it might make a difference perhaps. Overall I really like them and they will last ages as I won’t need wear them everyday. Fast delivery too as I ordered right before Christmas during Covid delays.
I was actually surprised. I haven’t needed to deal with customer service, but I read it was an easy swap or exchange if they were the wrong size.
I’ve had these boots before, years ago and had a few cheaper brands after. I’m so glad I purchased this same pair again, comfiest ever boots and long lasting. Workwear Hub delivered quicker than I was expecting during coronavirus period, with email including tracking links.
Brilliant service guys! Never stop stocking these boots!.

The boot is, I’m sure, super comfortable, well built and will last a long time, depending on use. But even if you’re hard on boots, it takes a lot to wear them out. The reason I say “I’m sure” is because Galls shipped me the wrong size.
And they’re out of my size until June. And no one answers the phone at the local store. And it took several tries and a long time explaining being put on hold just to get the answer that they are out of stock.
That deserves one star. But, Galls said they would make it right, that’s TBD. But I can speak with knowledge, because I own three other versions of this boot. The Puma Brown Aquapel, the Outback, and the Bobcat Claret Oil Kip (this is the exact same boot as the black one reviewed here, just a different color.
I’ve had that pair 5 years- still going strong, water still beads off). Check out “Blundstone Killer” boot review online by Rose Anvil. He literally saws this boot in half so you can see how it’s made.
He has access to wear all kinds of boots, and he rated this one as most comfortable of all. Standing for 10 to 12 hours on indoor floors, concrete or asphalt? No problem. I’ve stood even longer than that with no foot fatigue and no burning feeling at the ball of your foot.
Walking 8 to 10 miles a day, at times carrying a load? No issues & feet feel springy at the end of the day. Standing outside in hot sun on pavement over 100 degrees? No problem, these soles are rated to 300 degrees F.
Inclement weather? No problem. Especially if you treat these before wearing with Obenauf’s leather protection, the water beads right off. The Vulcan sole will never let water between where the shoe leather meets the midsole.
I re-reat them whenever sun, dirt, etc. breaks it down and it stops beading water. Never had wet socks. Just don’t go into water deeper than the side stretch panels-those are not water proof. So while Redback can’t claim these as “waterproof ” because there is no liner, I’m telling you, with treatment, they are.
I know some guys that don’t treat the boots and they still don’t get wet feet. TIP: I wouldn’t use any petroleum based, mink oil, snow seal or animal-based leather treatment because that will deteriorate the leather where it meets the Vulcan sole.
Also because you don’t have a liner, they breathe better and are far more comfortable in warmer temps. My feet don’t get hot ! In summer, I wear Danner Hot Weather TFX Drymax black crew socks. For colder temps, I wear wool socks.
Caveat: I wear Hapad Comforthotic (Athletic, green color) insoles vs. the insoles that come with the boots. The stock insole is pretty chintzy, without a lot of support. Redback knows this and offers a better insole.
I tried it, but it’s not as good as the Hapads. Hapads are inexpensive; have great arch & heel support/cushion; have a slight more padding just in front of your metatarsals (ball of foot). This subtle “metatarsal lift” takes the brunt of the G force with every step you take – relieving your metatarsal from the full impact of each step.
Your feet will impress on the Hapad insole, making it your custom-like orthotic. These help with plantar fasciitis, too. For sure, even without better insoles, this boot is still far more comfortable than any work boot I’ve ever worn.
I asked, and these have a no slip rating and a safety rating. You can call the USA Redback distributor to get a copy. I needed a shoe with a safety rating for a job and these were accepted. www. redbackboots.
com is the distributor. Yes, I’d recommend you try them.
I’m a diesel mechanic and work 15+ hours a day on concrete on my feet, up and down, I also must add I have a fused ankle and never have found a boot that supports or don’t hurt my feet. With all that being said once they are broken in they are the most comfortable best wearing boot I’ve ever owned.
All the other top brand boots usually only last me 3-5 months and kill my feet, knees and back. The last pair of these lasted me 4 years through the heat, oil, grease, and all other chemicals that’s in a shop.
I highly recommend these boots if you are on your feet.
Redback hit it out of the park with their easy escape boots. Ive only owned a couple other steel toe boots but these blow them away. Even tho its a slip on its very snug and secure when its on and it is very comfortable with virtually no To very little break in time needed.
I have a couple pairs now and I would recommend going a half size bigger than you normally wear as for me on my actual size which they fit great, if I wear socks on the thicker side etc or if Im doing a ton of walking and my feet swell a bit it can get pretty tight in spots.
Half size up cured all of that for me, I simply can wear thick socks if I need to and even with thinner socks its still a nice fit with a little bit of play but not enough to negatively impact everyday work use.
I put them through abuse, they seen desert rocks and debris and even snow etc , very durable and pretty good grip too, at work the floors are smooth and even when wet spots etc there is some grip which is very nice compared to a couple other shoes I had for work.
If you havent tried these yet you dont know what youre missing! One day Ill try their lace ups for heavy outdoor debris but for my uses for work and for mild desert terrain etc these are perfect! The only thing with these is that right at your ankle bone area where the stretchable material is you dont have protection and or if water gets that high can seep in.
So if you need ankle protection etc or plan on stepping in 5 puddles then these may not be what you need but for everything else its good to go!.

I bought these for my boyfriend. He has been wearing steel toes for 30yrs. He loves this brand and he says by far. these are the absolute most comfortable shoe. He says it feels like hes not even wearing steel toes.
He says he has room to spread his toes. The shoes are true to size. He wears a 10w. Perfect fit. Loves them he said everyone at work wants a pair.

I was eager to try these boots b/c I needed warm waterproof comfortable boots and the rave reviews got me going. But when I got them I found some discrepancies in the description of these boots and what they are actually like.
The advertising for these boots proclaims full grain leather, but if you look at the product descriptions on line, it states full grain leather upper, pull tabs, and top, but FAUX SHAFT. If you can break them, in I am sure they could be comfortable.
The size 8. 5 which is what I wear, was tight on the sides of my toes, so a bit narrow in width. The non slip rubber sole and low heel design is ideal for walking and doing chores, etc, and they are lightweight and well made! The colors and overall style is an attractive classic western look.
Cons: The interior foot region is like stiff, scratchy cardboard on your feet, takes a long time to break these in. The fake leather shaft is thin material and wrinkles upon first wearing, which can never comes out, b/c they are fake leather.
The real leather foot, pull tabs, and top decoration (which is the only real leather on these boots), while attractive,is very thin.
I’ve had these boots for 10+ years. They are not my everyday boot as I wear safety boots at work, but these are my go-to boots for work around the house and everyday wear. I have only bought one pair of fancy boots since these but can only stand to wear those on a night out bc I have been spoiled by these durangos.
I would buy them again but these have lasted forever! I would have to get boots every 6 months at work mostly bc soles wear out or separate from boot. The soles on these boots may show 25% wear over 10+ years.

I just ordered my 3rd pair of Lace Up Georgia Mud Dogs in 4 years. I have been getting about 14 months per pair and honestly could probably stretch that another few months. I live in Michigan so I put these boots through every type of climate and whatever Mother Nature throws at them.
I work Commercial Construction both indoor and outdoor all phases. There is nothing these boots can not handle (Concrete, Mud, Flooring, Roofing, Yard Work, Snow Shoveling) all while remaining extremely comfortable.
At a minimum I wear my boots 6 days a week 10-12 hours a day if not more. They have been comfortable from day one, but once they get broken in there is no comparison in comfort. Pro Tip – Purchase a Boot Dryer.
No matter what type of boot you have. I put my boots on a boot dryer every night before bed. This helps the boot last longer, feel fresh every morning, and definitely keeps them from stinking. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a comfortable boot that you can wear all day long all year round try purchase a pair of Mud Dog Lace Up Boots.
The boots seem to be of good quality. The stitching seems robust and the adhered components appear as if they will last. The tread holds well in the mud, but is easy to clean out to help prevent tracking it indoors.
It may be just because they are not well broken in, but my feet do get a but sore after several hours; however, a pair of insoles has helped immensely.
Got my first 5-6 years ago for C$89 and have worn them on the farm and working in the bush at least half the year since. Back in the spring they needed new heels and the stitching around the outsole started unravelling.
Looked at new Muddogs and was shocked to find they would set me back about C$200, plus shipping & duty and that none of the sale discounts applied to Canadian orders. Unfortunately when I tried to get them fixed (who does that anymore?) found it was going to cost not much less than new ones.
Best boots I ever had but no way I could pay those kind of bucks, so will wear the ‘Dogs until they fall off. In meantime got some Muck boots that are comfortable, so far are doing the job and on sale cost me less than half as much.

I bought these last year, and fell in love with them right away. The comfort is true quality. The soles are hard and do not wear out easily. I am on my feet treading through gravel daily and I still have over 75% tread left.
The most amazing feature is how soft the inside of the boots feel. Even at the end of the day I can still feel the cushion, it hasn’t lost any of its cushion since day one. I highly recommend and will be buying again, if I ever need too, as the pair I have is still in great shape.
I do want to emphasize you will need to clean and condition the leather to keep them looking like new and able to resist water.

Every once in a while you come across a pair of boots that are so phenomenal, you just know they will quickly become your favorite pair to pull out of the closet. Not only are they good-looking and amazingly comfortable, but the protection that your feet will receive is unparalleled.
In these western boots, your feet will remain dry because of the Rocky waterproof construction. What’s more, the Goodyear welt construction enhances the boot’s durability, flexibility and strength. One vital part of the construction was to make sure that this Long Range boot was able to protect your feet.
Apart from the steel toe, this men’s pull-on boot meets the ASTM F2413-05 Protective Toe Classification for impact and compression up to 75 lbs. and the Electrical Hazard Standard. These features help you remain safe in this stylish-looking boot.
With all of these great features, you may be surprised that this boot has more to offer, but it certainly does The Expansion Fit Seam allows you to comfortably move your heel down into this boot (and pull it off) by expanding the hidden seam.
On the inside of this men’s boot, the Dri-Lex Eco lining is comfortable against your legs and maintains moisture. Not only does the Long Range footbed cushion your steps and alleviate the pain that can come from walking, but it is also resistant to odors.

I have worn these boots since ’13 & they do not disappoint. They handle the ever changing conditions in the patch: hot & dry to wet & muddy, diesel, oil, grease. they wear well. They break in pretty easy & the great part is they don’t stretch out like other boots do.
They are in fact waterproof & it last. they pair I’m replacing actually has a crack where the boot bends & it still keeps my feet dry.
This boot is far and away the best boot I’ve come across. I’m a big guy and the square steel toe fits more comfortable than any round does for my elephant foot. Now that doesn’t come with a price. I mean to tell you that like all of the truly best boots, the break-in is one of the most miserable experiences you’ll ever have, which for me is about 3 weeks.
Keep in mind even with a 12-wide I still have to get them stretched. But after the pain, you’ll be in heaven. I sincerely hope that this boot stays is production for a long, long time. And Rocky, if you do read this, I only say the following due to the business nature of the products you sell: This boot ain’t broke, don’t go trying to fix it.
Usually the only reviews I do are bad ones, but i’ll make an exception here. Rocky makes the most-comfortable slip-on work boot I’ve ever worn. There really isn’t any more that needs to be said. Their quality seems to be on par with any other manufacturer, so it really comes down to fit and finish.
I’ve had several different brand boots – Ariat, Justin, RedWing, Timberland, Cheap Boots, Wolverine. Georgia. I always come back to Rocky – usually before the other boots are more than a couple months old.

Only reason I put feels full size too small is because I wear a size 10 in tennis shoes but a size 9 in dress shoes. Its not just this dress shoe, all dress shoes run small on my narrow foot. I put feel true to width because my foot is narrow and this shoe is a great fit.
Great dress shoe and would recommend to everyone.

I purchased my size despite everyone saying not to. Lengthwise it felt oK, my heels were even a bit loose. The problem is in the toe box; my toes can’t quite lay flat, they kind of scrunch up together which is very uncomfortable.
Plus because my heels are a bit loose, my socks bunch up around my toes which I hate. Maybe a double wide shoe would have been better. On the plus side I really do like the slip on feature, it’s why I bought these in the first place.

Reviews From Real Customers
I really like these boots. They were comfortable right out of the box. I like that the upper part of the boot is really soft leather. I have stepped into deep water with them and they are waterproof.
I like that i can rinse them off if they get muddy too. I looked around at every boot store in town and i couldnt find a better deal for a good pair of steel toe work boots, I didnt even realize that Academy had western boots but i will keep coming back when i need a new pair but i expect these to last a long time.
These are the second pair of Justin boots I have bought in the past 2 months. I purchased a pair from the store and realized they were leaking (I work in the sewers. WET conditions!). I took them back and exchanged them for a pair of these, since they’re advertised as waterproof.
Now, these boots are very comfortable to me, but working out in the snow/rain during the afternoon I realized that they have a leak on the left boot at the steel-toe where your big toe is (cold water hitting your warm feet is very noticeable).
The Justin boots I had prior to this pair leaked right at the edge of the steel-toe along the base of the sole. I plan on attempting to seal this leak up, but if I can’t I’m taking them back and exchanging them for a pair of Rocky’s.
I am extremely satisfied with my Warhawk Commander waterproof composite work boots! Right out of the box I could tell that great workmanship was put into making these. After having worn other styles of Justin Boots these by far have been my personal favorite for the working conditions I am accustomed to.
I have worked in the maritime field for about 18 years and finally found a pair of boots that were easy to break in ( 3- days). They are comfortable to walk in, on and around deck, especially with the Vibram slip resistant outsole that provides excellent grip even on some of the smooth surfaces where we had no non-skid.
My feet always felt dry during rainy weather, or when waves had happened to break over the gunnels. I get many compliments when shore side walking around town from other people, and the boots are plain just out stylish.
I would definitely recommend these work boots for anyone working offshore, or any other workplace where you feel a pair of boots would happen to take a beating.

Reviews From Real Customers
While I only gave it 3 stars (I’ll explain) it is a really comfortable boot. I’ve been through every brand and every price point in the 25 years that I’ve been wearing work boots and these one are up there in the top 3 so far.
Very comfortable, almost no break in and my feet don’t hurt at the end of the day. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because it is a pretty roomy boot, almost to roomy. I went down a half size like most reviewers said and it’s still pretty big and slides on my heels quite a bit.
Not a deal breaker and something I can live with. The other reviewers also said the pull tabs on the side were rubbing their leg raw. I didn’t think much about it until it happened to me within the first hour of wearing the boots.
Extremely painful. I think that Brunt should sew the pull tabs on first and THEN sew the liner over it so it keeps the leather and thread (which Is ver rugged btw) away from your skin. I ended up getting mole skin and lining that part of the boot to stop the pain.
The only other thing I noticed is the left boot, where the sole meets the leather, seems to have been skipped over in quality control. It was separated a little right out of the box and it doesn’t look like it was sewn all the way around the heel area.
The boot is water proof still and it doesn’t seem to be causing any issues. I travel a lot for work (on the road now) so it makes sending the boots back very difficult for an exchange and I need boots for work so I can’t afford to be without them.
In all honesty I’m glad I bought them, they are very comfortable and seem to be well built except for the one issue I wrote about.
I didn’t want to review boots in a box so I’ve waited a week or two before submitting this. I seen the Facebook ad and just got tired of dropping 300. 00 for boots that lasted 6 months so took a chance and ordered the slip on version.
They came wonderfully packaged as if I bought from a store. Shipping was about a week or so for me. I applied the mink oil right outta the box and it darkened the finish a bit. As with all leather products they were a bit stiff at first but were true to size.
I worried they weren’t gonna be wide enough. My worries were for nothing cause they are perfect. I can’t speak for the longterm longevity as they’ve only been on my feet for 3 weeks but they are comfy.
The insoles are very cushioned and my feet have stayed dry in wet conditions. The ease of sliding the boots on and off my feet and my foot locking into the boot has remained good so far and my knee pain from standing on concrete has disappated.
All in all I would definitely recommend giving these boots a shot and watching your own transformation from skeptic to believer.
So far, so good! I have only had these boots a couple of weeks but so far they are really comfortable, the waterproofing seems legit, the leather seems to be good quality, and they look good. I was concerned at first that they were going to cause blisters due to some minor heel lift and rubbing at the ankle areas but that worked itself out and is no longer an issue.
I have been wearing Chippewa Edgewalkers the past couple of years which are extremely comfortable but they tend to wear quickly which is why I decided to try the Bolducs. I can’t say they are quite as comfortable as the Chippewa boots but they are pretty close once they break in some.
I haven’t had them long enough to make any judgments on their longevity but they seem to be well built and I have no reason to believe they won’t last as long as any other decent brand of boot I’ve owned and I have tried them all.
I would definitely suggest giving them a try. If you don’t care for them Brunt seems to stand by their products and offer a 30 day return policy even after you wear them on the job so really you have nothing to lose by trying them.
Conclusion
There are many benefits to slip on steel toe work boots. They are comfortable, durable and provide good traction. They are also a good choice for people who have to work in wet or oily conditions.
