20 Best Shoes For Zumba With Arch Support (2022 Updated)

I really wanted to like these shoes. The colors were cute, and I love the idea of a shoe made just for women. However…. I wear an 11 in street shoes and usually buy an 11. 5 in gym/workout shoes. No 11.

5 was available in this mode, nor was a 12 offered. I bought the 11, and sure enough, they are a bit short. My toes rub against the front. Not bad. but still. I was going to return them, but decided to keep them and see if they’d be better once I broke them in.

Nope. Still not really comfortable. I wear them for casual wear ( my volunteer work at a food bank) and to my yoga class. I won’t wear them for hard workouts or treadmill. They just don’t have the support I need, which I have in my Brooks.

Also…the laces are a bit skimpy. Too bad…wish they had worked out better for me and my foot.

I have purchased 6 pairs of these sneakers over the past several years. I am a Zumba instructor and wear them 3 times a week to teach a high energy class. I recommend these sneakers to all my students.

Around three quarters of the class have purchased this sneaker. Those who complained about their knees hurting during Zumba have noticed that has stopped. I bought the new color which was the entire pink sneaker.

Love them! These sneakers are also good for cross training.

I was disappointed with the shoes structure and fit. I’m very active and participate in Jazzercise 5-6 days/week. After wearing a week, I had numerous blisters, and was frequently tripping due to uneven and odd texture of the sole.

The width of the heel of the shoe is much to large. My foot was constantly sliding around inside the shoe, to the side and front and back. I tied the shoes as tight as I could, but then that created discomfort as my foot would still slide and the arch support was then pressing on the in front or behind the inside of my arch.

The shoe also did not have the flexibility to point or flex my foot. But the colors are fun and the for mundane walking, the shoes are very comfortable and supportive. But if you need to articulate precise, sharp movements, this is not the right shoe style.

I typically wear a size 7 in a street shoe and ordered an 8. 5 based on the recommended 1-1. 5 sizes bigger than one’s street shoe size and reviews that this shoe runs small. I found that it was much too big.

It was at least half a size if not a full size too large. I would have exchanged it for a smaller shoe, but I was underwhelmed by the look and feel of this dance sneaker. I would describe the color as a light bubble gum pink.

(On my monitor, it looks more muted. ) I also found the shoes to be rather stiff and bulky while not offering much support for my high arches. (Perhaps this is due to the size issue. ) For reference, I am used to wearing the Sansha Hi-Step, which I find more supportive yet also more flexible.

This is my second time ordering these shoes. I wear a size 7 street shoe and a couple years ago ordered an 8 in these shoes. I was happy with the size 8 fit until I ended up with an ingrown toenail from my toe rubbing against the front end.

This time, I ordered an 8. 5 and they feel a bit big but there is no rubbing. I have to wear a thick sock to keep them from slipping off my feet and the am not sure how I feel about the arch support as it hits my arch in a different place than the size 8 did.

I would definitely follow the sizing guidelines. As for ordering 1 or 1. 5 size up, it really depends on your preference of how you like to wear your dance shoes. If you like them tight I would go with 1 size up, if you like them a bit roomier than I would go with 1.

I bought these to replace my old pair which I’ve had for years and love. They look almost the same but unfortunately the sole is made of a harder rubber and to my surprise isn’t so slippy for turning/spinning.

I might need to buy the stick on pads. Shame they changed them. They are still very comfortable though.

Decent shoe, basic comfort, construction appears to be good, decent color options. I personally struggle to find the correct sizing in Reebok shoes, one size is too big, I try a 1/2 size smaller and that size is too short.

I’ve tried a couple different styles and experience the same result. This style felt too wide and too long in my normal size. The 1/2 size smaller felt better in the width but too short in the length.

I don’t feel there was a lot of arch support but then that is not a feature I look for. I will keep trying other styles because I like the Reebok brand. Just need to find the style that is perfect for me.

I’ve never had a sneaker that is so tight and hard, that is impossible to wear. It’s extremely narrow on the front of your feet squeezing all your bones and fingers together, but what is even worse, the back part is stitched with some extremely hard plastic, which literally cuts your ankles into the blood.

I was not able to wear them, as only after 100 minutes of the walk I had to take them off in the middle of the street with broke and bloody skin on my ankles, as I just couldn’t walk anymore. As an international purchase, I don’t even think I can return them.

Total loss of money and complete disappointment.

Fantastic budget-mid range cross training shoe, very comfortable and light, very grippy on a variety of surfaces, absolutely recommend if you’re wanting a good pair of trainers to start training, they’re comfortable enough as well for general use.

The drawbacks (which are understandable for the price range) are that they are not stable enough for heavy powerlifting, the lack of a protected upper makes them easily worn out by rope climbs or climbing in general, the completely flat sole while grippy is not effective for long running, they’re fine for short runs but if you’re using the treadmill primarily, and not doing strength training, go for running shoes.

But for a general all round cross trainer with good versatility for a beginner to intermediate training, these shoes are fantastic. And they come with enough colourways to suit plenty of people (Ones I bought were the black to white gradient sole).

This is a very comfortable shoe with appropriate room for the width of my foot and toes, feet feel comfortable and secure. I ordered a 10 whereas I wear a 9 in everything else. Back 10 years ago, I was a solid 8.

Comfort and joy in a sneaker, here it is ladies. Forget holiday joy, this is comfort and joy you can have year ’round. I got these in a 9M black which is my usual size. They fit perfectly, and after having a very bad experience with another Skechers shoe, this pair arrived in perfect condition and fit perfectly right out of their nice new box.

I was so thrilled I got on the website to order a spare pair in black but they are sold out, so I ordered the navy in a 9M. So they are on the way. I am not usually fond of wearing sneakers without socks but I think these will be fine and preferable to be worn that way.

I don’t know why these are so different from the other Go Walks and other Skechers and other sneakers I have but these are even more comfortable than those. The footbed is cushiony, and the rest of the shoe feels like cushy socks on your feet.

Except it’s supportive, like a little hug for your feet. The best feeling. Worth the money! I am just sad there are no more 9M in black. I would have purchased another pair so I would have a spare for a back up because I can tell I am going to wear these out.

These are my new work shoes. I’m a CT Technologist at a busy hospital. I’m on my feet most of the day with a lot of walking involved. I have high arches and plantar fasciitis. These are the first shoes I’ve found that I don’t need an insert to accommodate my arches.

The cushioning is AMAZING! I read a couple reviews that said they ran large and slipped up on the heels as you walk. That’s not what it is. It’s your foot sinking into the cushioning and raising to it’s pre step height.

I know that sounds strange but that’s really what it is. There is 0 rubbing on your Achilles tendon which is what happens when you’re shoe is too big and slipping I’ve worn them for 2 weeks and I’m happy thus far.

As for the cons. I wish they were available in bright, fun colors. White is boring so I bought green shoe laces to brighten them up. Also the tongue is short. Just another inch would be ideal. They barely come past the leaves and are hard to grab when laced.

I always straighten the tongue in my shoes so it does not become uncomfortable.

Have had these just about three weeks and wear them everyday for work and my dogs aren’t barking at the end of the day. Had fallen out of love with Skechers (GoWalk, specifically) after several years of wearing them because the arch supports became nonexistent.

The Comfy Wave has restored my faith in not only finding a shoe with arch support, but finding one that also isn’t costing me $150 – and I had almost resigned myself to going that far to keep my feet happy.

I walk a lot at work, and these offer great support and cushioning right out of the box without having to add anything. Heel cup, arch support, even toe box are great at first fit. Bridge is a bit snug at first, but like all Skechers, the material gives after a bit and they fit perfect now.

They are also super lightweight and breathable. The laces are a bit annoying, as they come untied often – just the type of lace, easily replaceable. But it’s also nice that they include a second pair of laces as well.

My only two “complaints,” if you will, would be lack of availability – I wanted to reorder another pair last week and they are not available in my size (7); and lack of bright, fun colors – choices are Navy, Gray and Black.

Pretty boring. At half the cost of Hoka’s or On Clouds, I can’t imagine the cost savings comes from not offering better color selections, lol. My favorite Skechers were a pair of Aqua/Navy Herringbone GoWalks.

Nowadays, they’re not nearly not as much fun. Whoever is running their style department must not like cute patterns or bright colors and doesn’t think anyone notices their sneakers. All of that said, this is a great shoe with great support at a fair price and I would love to have another pair – when my size is available – and hoping for cuter colors :).

I bought this shoe specifically for Zumba and I was not disappointed! The pivot point on the toe box (bottom sole) is great for turns and slides. I can use it on or off a carpeted surface. The flexible upper material makes moves on the balls of the feet much easier, and jumps and stomps absorb shock/impact pretty well-I may replace the inner soles with a tougher memory foam, as I do high-impact Zumba.

RYKA SHOES: I downloaded the size/fit guide from the Ryka website and accordingly ordered a whole side up from what I wear in a regular sneaker (Converse, Adidas). It was perfect. I would suggest you do the fit before assuming a size.

Researching many shoes and their uses/reviews, this is what I ended up ordering and am happy with the performance for what I was going to use them for. Makes soreness post-workout much lesser. Great shoe!.

I’m a size 10, with plenty of space. Ordered ryka vivid size 10 and those were a little loose. These however were simply too snug! Pinched along my pinky and just felt like they weren’t letting my feet breathe.

It was uncomfortable. First pair that Im disappointed in. Will return.

I liked the look of this shoe so decided to try a new brand. I like that it was advertised as having a narrower heel (which I desperately need in an athletic shoe). When I first put them on they were really stiff, but I decided to wear it for the day and see if they work or not.

Basically, was I going to have blisters on my heels or not. They broke in quickly and by the end of the day were fitting great. I’m so glad I bought them, and I’m kinda excited about the next time I need to wear them.

I keep looking for these so I can buy again! I really would love to purchase the other pair, the plain white without the black & pink label on the side. PLEASE notify me if these become available. Love the shoe laces on these.

These have an incredibly comfortable feel straight away. I was a little concerned about the white sole sticking out too much but in person, it doesn’t look as wide as in the pictures. The soles provide enough traction.

I bought this shoes online and the first time I try it on the purple strap broke. Disappointed. I love PUMA shoes and buy them all the time for years. Was always happy with the quality of the sneakers.

This pair was of a bad quality.

This shoe has plenty of room in the toe box for my foot to feel comfortable and never pinched when doing anything from lunges to jogs. The cushioning is perfect to keep my feet from hurting at all while doing my hour-long cardio and strength classes.

The laces stay tied without double knotting and my feet never slide around inside. With all Ryka’s I’ve purchased, I always buy a half size larger than my street shoes.

I buy Ryka sneakers for Zumba and other cardio dance fitness type classes. The bounce, with flexibility and support is great. These were not comfortable for the first 5-10 times wearing them. The tongue being a hard plastic made them annoying to slip on, and they overall seemed rigid.

After I broke them in, they turned out to be a favorite pair of sneakers for class.

The style of this sneaker is very cute! However the sneaker runs small. I wear an 8. 5 I would have needed a size 9. Also there was not enough bounce return. I Have over pronated feet and my knees are not great.

These do not provide enough support for me, but probably enough for the regular person.

Needed a pair of shoes that would be functional for heavy weight lifting and bodyweight/cardio training. I highly recommend these if that is what your training covers. Great foot support, light weight too.

Great for deadlifts/squats for keeping feet flat and driving with the whole foot.

I love my new amazing shoes. I got them for a fantastic price. I use these shoes for lifting, rowing, and the stair stepper. I would not recommend them for running.

The shoes are well made and fit my feet well. The arch support and heel cushioning are not comfortable for walking or running. I will never buy again.

I purchased this for Zumba classes. The fit was true to size and I like the color. They are comfortable and didn’t need a “breaking in” period. The pivot was better than regular sneakers but nor as good as dance shoes.

I was skeptical of ordering these shoes at first because I do have continual back pain, but not foot pain and I also have a narrow foot not wide. I was pleasantly surprised to see how well the size medium shoes fit me.

For the first week I walked around my house with them on to give myself time to get use to them in the comfort of my home. They do elevate my arch more than I am use to, but I believe this to be a good thing! I live in flip flops so my feet are constantly flat and causing me severe back pain.

I was drawn to the fact that the shoes are very stylish since I am 42 years young and desire a functional esthetically pleasing shoe. i am looking forward to purchasing my next shoe with Kuru and it will definitely be a flip flop!.

I was walking 8km on the daily, plus what I did just around the house. My fire was really painful and limited my walks to barely 0. 5km. With my recent Morton’s Neuroma diagnosis, I knew I needed proper foot wear.

I googled shoes specific for my diagnosis and was brought to the Kuru site. I found a pair I liked but hesitated on the price. My wonderful mom said she’d buy them and so I gladly accepted. To wear them around the house while breaking them in was wonderful! So much so, that I feared wearing them out because then I won’t have indoor shoes! This past weekend I finally wore them to the park with my kids.

They are oh so comfy and stylish. I want/need to get another pair for indoors and for outdoor summer weather. Kuru is great in that they make a variety of styles, one (or two or three) to suit even the pickiest of consumers.

My hesitation on ordering more, like I’ve said before, is the price. If they were more affordable, my rating would be 5 out of 5.

This is my second purchase of Kuru’s Atom style within a month. I had a great toe fusion in my right foot almost a year ago and left foot Achilles tendonitis with calcification at the insertion site and bone spurs.

Walking was extremely painful even with high end athletic shoes, ice, heat, and medication. I stumbled upon the Kuru site; this style has completely changed my life. It offers amazing cushioning, support, holds my heel in place and is high enough in the back to not cause pressure on my tendon; the mesh in front allows for the extra room I need.

In my opinion runs true to size with a wide toe box. I did not need a break in period. As a nurse and gym member, I am now able to participate in activities I enjoy, pain free!.

I’ve suffered from plantar fasciitis off and on since 2005. It was a constant from 2005-2010. My custom-made insoles made working on my feet just bearable. When I received my Coral No-Tie shoes from you, I was on the front porch and put them on right then and there.

They felt soooo good even before I stood up, I told my husband I felt like running and he looked at me like I was crazy! (I’ve never been a runner to start with). These days I also have off and on again issues with Achilles Tendonitis and have Haglands deformity.

I’ve also been a lifelong barefoot person whenever I can get away with it. The first couple of weeks after I got these shoes I had noticeable improvement, but still some pain. I realized I was still running around barefoot most of the day (I’m retired).

I made a conscious effort to keep these shoes on when I wasn’t working in the garden. After maybe another week or two I was feeling better, but decided I needed to add the extra arch support pieces that come with the shoe.

I’m doing really, really well now at 7 weeks. Actually I think I was out of most of the pain a week ago, but I had a bad knee flare-up, so I noticed nothing else at the time. I love the slim look too and not having to tie and untie.

Being a women’s size 12, having an athletic shoe that isn’t a big obvious chunk is a huge plus. I only wish it was in the budget to get some sandals also. But now I know what to save for! Thank you!.

It was time to get a new pair of shoes. The podiatrist told me my good ol’ “Easy Spirit” shoes were falling apart. I ordered a new pair from Dr. Comfort through a different podiatrist several years ago, but they just didn’t fit right.

So, going to a new podiatrist, I got new orthotics, was embarrassed by his criticism of my worn out Easy Spirits, and was told Medicare put a hold on the annual new shoes benefit, I decided to shop around and buy my own.

So, long story shorter, I did a search for shoes for back pain. I have suffered from lower back pain for a couple of years now. Chiropractor visits (twice a week) haven’t helped. Salon Pas and many creams and balms didn’t help.

Short of trying acupuncture, I decided to try new shoes to work with my new orthotics. One of the first search results led me to OrthoFeet. Wow! The choices were amazing, and I soon found several styles I liked.

I ultimately chose these. I impatiently waited to receive these shoes, although I knew the shipping time and expected date. I received these on October 21. On October 22, I tried them on with my new orthotics.

Friends came over and we went out for a few hours. I forgot all about the fact I was only supposed to wear the orthotics for one hour on the first day, because the shoes were so comfortable! For the first time in a couple years, I was able to walk without my back causing me to bend over because of the pain.

I cannot think of anything negative about these shoes. For anyone having a doubt about my five-star rating, I want you to know that if I were offered more stars, I would have chosen the highest number of all.

I’m looking forward to putting my shoes on again today. I’m having my first cup of coffee and admiring the shoes waiting for me to put on. Yesterday, I did a great deal of walking in those three hours, so I’m going to try again today.

The fit is perfect. I ordered a half-size larger than my foot measurement because I wear thick cotton socks. The shoes envelop my feet; it feels like a comfortable hug. They are beautiful, matching the picture exactly, fit perfectly, and the old shoes will be taken out with the trash today.

no sorrow or feeling of loss for my old shoes, because these new shoes are exactly what I needed. My back is straight, I have a better stride, and I can look up rather than down when I walk. I am now a loyal customer of OrthoFeet and, IF these shoes ever wear out, I will purchase a replacement.

Very comfortable shoes, The design of the soul offers great stability for an active senior citizen who can at times have balance and or other physical impairments. The insoles offer a lot of plush comfort.

The only drawback, and it’s not the shoes but I have always had a tendency to develop shin splints when playing basketball, tennis or other sports on a rubber type court. I developed shin splints while running with these shoes because the insoles are too soft.

However they are one of the most comfortable pair of walking shoes I’ve ever worn. They definitely deserve a 5 plus star rating for the style, construction, quality, and performance of the shoes. I was a huge fan and satisfied with the older 20 +/- years ago of Nike Air Max shoes and didn’t mind paying full price for them.

When I bought a pair of ASICS around that time I found I could get the same comfort from a well designed and constructed shoes with great style for less. Academy had the Novablast on Sale for a great price and a week later they were put on clearance.

Academy graciously refunded me the price difference and I got a $125 pair of shoes for approximately $45.

This is the second pair of Novablast I have used. The first pair, I bought when I was training for a marathon. I found them to be great for speed workouts, long runs and tempo runs. ( These are relative terms due to the fact that I am a slow, fat middle aged man) butthe cushioning is good for me.

I run about 250km a month. My 5km best is just over 25 minutes, 10km around 53 minutes and half marathon a bit under 2 hours. (All recorded in the last two years or so) I found the Novablast to function very well for someone with my slow running pace I find them to be quiet versatile at different speeds.

The upper is comfortable although I would say that my feet tend to move around a fair bit in them, which might annoy some runners. I would also say the grip on the tread is not fantastic, but because of where I run, which is on hard tiles, this might be the issue rather than a problem with the shoe.

In total I ran 850km in my first pair and I am on 180km for my current pair. The first pair started to feel worn out at around 700km, but this is probably a result of the 95kg that is pounding them into a hard surface.

My wife generally gets around 1000km out of her shoes, but she is not a fat bloke. I will definitely get another pair of these, when the the next model comes out. I think they are a good value proposition and I enjoy running in them.

I have struggled since my teenage years when I first started running 25 years ago to find a shoe that didn’t cause ankle pain during or after my runs. I’ve found very few pairs (only about 5) over the years that actually worked for me and I ran those into the ground literally.

But companies eventually change the model of the shoe and I end up no longer being able to use them. It’s been about 6 years since I last had a pair that didn’t cause me pain either during or after my runs, until this pair! And believe me, I’ve tried dozens of shoes over those years.

I am in disbelief over how well this shoe works for me. They absorb so much shock and apparently accommodate my (apparently) mechanically inept natural gate with super high arches really well. I’ve already bought 2 pairs and am contemplating buying 2 more.

At first I was hesitant to try them because of the really tall foam rubber sole, but I fell in love with them during my first run. My husband who knows my struggle with finding running shoes is actually encouraging me to stock up on this shoe.

I’ve had these for a few weeks now. I love how quick and easy they are to get on. Comfortable to wear through out the work day but you do need to break them in. Initially they are still out of the box but after two wears they break in.

If you have wide feet I would not recommend this shoe. They are true to size otherwise. I would also recommend only wearing no show socks with these as regular socks would not fit in these shoes well.

The color is a nice gray that goes along with anything. The soft foam built in keeps your feet cushioned through our the day. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because I feel like they run tight around the ankle.

Wish it had a little more room.

These are the best sneakers I ever had. So comfortable. I have owned these for over a year. Wore them so much I wore a hole in the toe when I was on vacation. I was so upset and I wanted to continue to wear them because they were my favorite and I said I would never find another pair like them since I brought them last near and my husband said no and me made me go to the store to buy another pair.

When I got to the store , there they were. I was so happy and they had them in different colors. I brought all the colors, and going back for and extra pair of white ones. My husband threw the old ones away.

When i first opened the box i really liked them. I like the design and they are so lightweight!! I was sure they would be super comfortable. After wearing them for a day. I realized i was wrong. The top front of the shoes just dont work for me.

They really hurt the front of my ankle. (The part on top with the loop that helps pull the shoes on) Everything else I really like about the shoes. This may not be an issue for everyone but definitely is for me.

Unfortunately I will not be wearing them.

Purchased The Alpha for my 13 year old dancer and she could not be more in love with them!! She loves the the support that she feels on her feet, arch, and ankle support she feels while dancing. especially post ankle injury! They always feel supportive and super comfortable when turning and dancing and practicing in the studio.

This style is new to her this season, and she can’t wait to start competing and dancing in them when she hits the stage to perform this new session!! For her, these are and feel the closest and best thing to dancing barefoot, all while still getting the support she needs, from the ankle and all of the way through the feet.

We give The Alpha an A+ rating and she can’t wait to continue trying each of the different styles that Apolla has to offer in her future as a dancer!!.

I got the nude Alpha (with traction) for my daughter to use in her Modern class. In the past she’s worn “turners,” but gave those up recently for socks. She also suffers from crazy pointe-shoe-induced bunions, which can sometimes flare up painfully, and is what drew me to Apolla.

The good news is that she loves the Alpha! It seems to be the perfect combination. Her foot feels much more supported than with the turners or the plain ol’ socks. And she reports that they really help her turns! Bad news for mom is that she wants another pair in black.

They are everything you advertised. I teach POP Pilates in them. I have hammer toes, bunions, and Morton’s neuroma. So, feet are a disaster area. My only issue is that the fit is weird across my toes because of my bunions.

My big toes don’t go quite where they are supposed to. But, not your fault. Other than that–well made, quality materials, excellent product and my students are asking about them and I’m very happy and confident in referring them to your website.

The first pair of shoes I bought from Lululemon, and I love them! They replaced my gym shoes (solely used inside the gym) and so far I’ve been impressed. There is enough room for my toes, they’re airy so I don’t feel like they’re stinky after a hard workout, and I love that they’re versatile enough for me to run in them but also weight lift.

For reference, my workouts entail weightlifting followed by mild cardio (running/wallking a couple miles). I don’t wear them squatting or deadlifting, I take off my shoes for that, but the cushioning in them is not too in the way for any other leg exercise.

The sage green color is also very cute and flattering!.

I am a dog walker and my current pair was never comfortable. I did a Google search for womens sneakers and these came up in several reviews. I ordered my shoe size and the one bunion was painful when testing inside.

When returning to store, it was suggested to go a half size up. They are amazing! I esp. feel the cushioning on the foot padding below toes and in the heels! No issue with bunion! I love these! The store sales person was so helpful and knowledgeable!.

I am a nurse and a bit of a sneaker head. I am always searching for comfortable shoes to relieve the constant foot pain I have from standing all day. These shoes are the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn.

I plan on buying many more! One thing to note, after a few wears I noticed a bright pink line across both my ankles. I couldn’t figure out what it was from. The next day after a workout I realized it appeared again.

The color came off staining the skin. Don’t wear white socks!.
