A robot vacuum and mop for pet hair is a device that is designed to vacuum and mop up pet hair from your floors. It is equipped with a special brush that helps to loosen and lift pet hair from your floor surfaces, and it also has a mop function that helps to clean up any remaining hair or debris.
This type of device can be a great way to keep your floors clean and free of pet hair, and it can also help to reduce the amount of time that you spend cleaning your floors.

Combined with Roborck’s first auto-lifting mop, powerful mopping is yours a whole new level of convenience.
Add its all-rubber main brush and 2500Pa HyperForce suction, and you have a true deep clean machine.
We ended up getting Roborock S7+ after trialled Deebot t9+ for 10 days. Here is my experience after a few times we used it, and some comparative analysis between the two robots: – Roborock S7 can do both mopping and vacuuming for hard floors and carpet areas in a single session, while Deebot T9 does not enter carpet areas if mopping is attached – Roborock S7 lifts the mopping for 5mm when travelling on carpet which is good enough for low to medium pile carpets.
Deebot T9 does not travel on carpet and therefore if your hard floor is separated by a carpet area you will need to manually relocate the robot to your second hard floor area. – In similar wet setting mode, Roborock S7 covered our 110 sqm hard floor mopping with a single water tank, while Deebot T9 needed a refill halfway through.
– Navigation of Roborock S7 is much more systematic and organised compared to Deebot T9. – Vacuuming results for both robots is the same, however Roborock S7 finished the job more quickly due to more organised movement patterns.
– Roborock S7 does a better mopping, Deebot leaves circular traces of side brushes in the finished floor surface after mopping. – Roborock S7 has not have any issues to return to dock and have not been lost so far.
Deebot T9 was lost and had trouble in returning to the dock 50% of the times. – Roborock S7 completely ignored and could not detect small objects such as cables as good as Deebot T9 – Noise level is less in Roborock S7, the noise level was almost the same with and without mopping attached.
Deebot T9 gets quite noisy when mopping and is a little more noisy even when the mopping is not attached. – Roborock S7 you have the option to use non disposable pads and dust bag which is lower ongoing costs.
Personally I prefer cyclone dust container. – Roborock S7 is more expensive, we paid almost 450 AUD more compared to Deebot T9 – Roborock S7 needs less (almost none) supervision while you cannot leave Deebot T9 unsupervised – Roborock S7 app is more flexible and user friendly offering more features and less bugs.
Hubby and I bought our roborock in Dec 2021 from Godfreys. She has been used every 2nd day (mopping and vacuming) for almost 5 months now with no issues other than general maintenance like wiping over her sensors.
We DO NOT expect this machine to function as a full on vacume, but rather just to pick up the daily debris and leaves etc that our little dogs walk into the house and to be a quick mopping once over.
We aren’t overly messy people and don’t have kids. Things we love: – She really cleans! – You can set up lines and walls in the app so she doesn’t go near stairs etc (Though she does have the stairs function where she auto-senses that its a drop off and she will vacume along it but not fall off the edge- this is extremely anxiety inducing to witness lol) – The mopping and sweeping all happens from the same machine.
Saves me having to run 2 and saves me having to vacume before i manually mop if i choose to though I haven’t needed to at all yet because the robot does such a great job for me. (we have hardwood floors and no kids) -I love that she auto-docks herself and takes herself home when the battery gets low so that i don’t have to bother doing it and that she can run while i’m not at home.
– I like that she ‘talks’ and tells you whats wrong if something does go wrong. – She does a great job on carpets, we have her set to high suction on carpets and lower on the hardwood and she actually collects all the dust and debris rather than pushing it around like our vacume does on the hardwoods.
– I love that you can schedule it for when you’re home or not home – The app is pretty user friendly and the whole thing gets up and running in no time when you buy her new. – I LOVE that she is so tiny she can get under the oven and under the bed.
Places that my vacume just can’t get. The overall result is a much less dusty home – I like that you can see what she’s up to or where she’s stuck on the app even when you’re not home. – I love that she auto senses walls and furniture and doesn’t knock stuff over or leave scuff marks on the walls or furniture.
Things that could be better – The walls and the “no go zones” are a bit hit and miss. Especially if you move furniture and she can then get in there. – ITS LOUD on full speed/high suction. Not nearly as loud as a regular vacume of course, but its extremely annoying when shes in the same room as you lol.
(Having said that- I am an extra sensitive person and have noise rreactive ptsd so I am very likely over exadurrating how annoying it is. It really doesn’t bother my husband at all) -I WISH it came with the auto-empty station.
Ours gets full after 2 goes around our house (we have a big house though and she does every room). I often forget to empty her and a spoken reminder when the machine runs next would be nice or for a bundle deal when buying both.
-When she mops, if you have anything powdery on the floor she may leave streaks of her every pass all over your floors. But this isn’t really some thing to worry excessively about, it only happened to us because hubby left jiprock residue on the floor and then she cleaned lol.
– She will eat ALL cords. You have to be EXTREMELY careful with phone charging cords, power cords and especially headphones, cos she WILL suck them up and get stuck and probably break them (she ate my senheizer headphones lol) – She will try to eat your curtains if they’re sheers and sit on the floor lol.
-The black version which we have shows dust badly on the top of her, just needs a frequent wipe down. – The little bin that holds the rubbish is tiny and its tedious as heck to try and empty it out completely, the housing for the filter means you can’t just remove the filter and tip out the rubbish, you need to stand there and manually prize it out of all the little nooks and crannies.
Not overly annoying but i wish the whole end just opened and then it’d all slide out and into the bin with minimal handling too, the way it is now, you have to pinch the fluff and dust goes flying everywhere.
Overall though, I really love the little thing and she’s saving my back and my vacumes life. She’s extremely handy and i’ll definitely buy this brand again if/when we need to upgrade.
I would rated this as a very good product, but there are some improvements to make it excellent one. Tested on Following Floors and its ratings *Corrugated Ceramic Tiles : Vacuumed (3. 5/5) / Mopping (4/5) *Smooth Marble Tile: Vacuumed (5/5) / Mopping (5/5) *Slim Carpet: Vacuumed (5/5) *Thick Carpet: Vacuumed (3/5) *Corrugated Hybrid Floorboard: Vacuumed (5/5) / Mopping 4/5) Issues to be Addressed 1.
There is no dustbin overflow detector, if you do not clean it you may find dust on the floor. 2. Laser sensor dose not detect the close object, it navigates by simple bumping on the objects. 3. With lot of effort, it climbs 2cm height steps.
Worried about damaging the underbelly. 4. You can not put any detergent into mopping liquid. Before you start mopping, mop pad must be socked. 5. It take some effort to create a map of your floor with accurate zones (4 hrs).
If you accidently delete it you have redo the painstaking task again. I wish that in future Roborock will provide a option to store the map in our Laptop. 6. Theer are no spare cleaning brushes. I brought brushes and mopping pads from eBay.
It works well 7. After one year of working, I can see slightly degradation of the battery life. At the beginning did cleans 120m2 floor in single charge. Now Roborock needs interrupt its mission to get an additional charge.

I picked it because it looks nice! Of course I’ve also checked out other reviews. Having owned 3 other cleaning robots in the past, this one is very comparable. Pros: It cleans well – I used to run once or twice a week, now I run once a day and see a lot of dust gets collected.
It goes back to base to recharge. Each charge runs a long time (tried for two weeks only and hope it does like that for long term). It goes over different terrains such as rugs, tiles, wooden floors, mats etc that rarely need much help.
Cons: It does get stuck especially if you have any thread, cable lying around. The spinning brush gets tangled and then the robot stops. I have to rescue – it might take some time to untangle it if it’s got a long thread twisted in its brush.
The robot seems to use some sort of pattern detection to avoid falling off the stairs (just a guess) because it gets confused when getting on a rug that has black/dark brown lines on it. It will get all confused.
Then after turns and twists and trials it may just stop without anything blocking it. On rugs without patterns that contain dark lines, it works just fine. Weird.
Very convenient to use these smart devices and a dual action mop and sweep is a plus. ,The machine works and picks up dirt , however it lacks intelligence. It keeps on rotating in the same area forever.
Even when I use the remote it keeps on turning back to where it wants. I basically fight and scream at this machine to stop rotating in the same place. It chooses corners and narrow spots to go under and then gets stuck and turns off.
I sometimes forget the dogs water cup on the floor and there she goes to knock it off and spills water. Wires should be kept off the ground or it would devour them in a blink. I like this machine , but I wish it were a little smarter and not skipping the important areas and wanders as it like.
It is still a better choice than mopping and sweeping on a daily basis.
I LOVE this robot. I have a 2800square foot house, 2 stories, and I live across from the ocean. My house always feels sandy. The wind brings in the sand so when I say this is a lifesaver. I mean it. I leave it on all day.
I definitely need a couple more of these things but I love it just the same. I dont have any carpets in my home but it does great on floors. Its not as precise as I would like(It goes from 1 side of the room to another) but for the money its great.
It does miss some things but it always comes back around and catches it eventually. I put it downstairs and it takes all day for it to mop and sweep since its a big open space. The battery only last about 2hours so it takes about 2 charges for it to vacuum/mop but upstairs it only takes 1.
I wasnt expecting much so this is great. The mopping is not as great as the vacuum option but it does have a spot cleaner option where you can leave it on a tough spot and it will go over it more precisely.
Its amazing. I told my friend and She already got 1 and loves it. I dont have to kill myself all day cleaning the floors.

This thing is a beauty, aesthetically it just goes extremely well with our apartment. It looks very modern, black and a titanium color which blends in and does really stand out like some other products on the market.
This Shark IQ 2 in 1 Robot vacuums and mops but before you can do all that you are able to map out your entire apartment or house. It literally makes life easier knowing I can go to work or the store and come home to a fresh vacuumed home.
Although I still tend to use my traditional vacuum just to ensure I get everything. Although I vacuum hardly anything ever goes into my vacuums canister as the Shark picks everything up. In the box you get a sample of the Shark VacMop Solution.
You can always go to any store and pick up additional bottle for those that do additional mopping. You don’t necessarily need to use this mop feature and can only do vacuum if you want or vice versa but either way you go this will clean your home.
The only knock I would have on this is its a bit noisy. its not too excessive but it will definitely let you know its operating in your home. The Shark is kinda on the big size but this is better because its less time it has to travel around your home to clean.
This product is amazing. If I ever move into a house and have upstairs I will be sure to get this exact model to keep upstairs. Unless of course Shark designs a product that will crawl up stairs. This had made my life so much easier and I couldn’t be happier with this product.
Shark you never cease to amaze me and my family with your line of products. Thank you and continue to make your customers proud.
What can I say, a robotic vacuum that does all the work itself, how can I NOT love it. My wife loves it even more. She usually does the vacuuming and mopping when she works from home so this just saved her a ton of time.
It was VERY easy to set up and map our home. My wife was able to get this up and running within 20 minutes and she is not the most technologically savvy person. It has 3 different levels of clean, “max” being the most.
We have used it on the middle level only and it has gotten the job done on both tile and rugs. It also has a mop feature. this was a bit harder to “map” around our throw rugs throughout the house so we probably won’t be using this option much.
The vacuum does its thing. it takes about 20 minutes on our 615 square foot condo. If you have a big home, you will definitely need to recharge or get multiple of these. By the time it’s done cleaning our home, it has used about 30% charge.
It goes back to hits “dock” by itself and it’s as simple as that. We do make sure to move stray items off the floor before it starts like shoes, dog toys, small throw rugs. I recommend everyone getting one of these!.

I wanted to love this vacuum. Unfortunately it does not work for our house. I think it would be ideal for homes less than 1500 sqft. The vacuum does not have any specific cleaning pattern, its totally random, so it can take it a long time to clean a room.
If your home is larger than 1500 sqft it would require you to recharge it and complete the task. I was able to vacuum our first floor with it after recharging and manually moving the vacuum around. I had to place barriers between rooms to isolate it to a single location because it would never complete the task if I didn’t.
I didn’t like that it doesn’t have the recharge and resume function. That would definitely make this vacuum better. The suction is ok, it does have to go over things several times to pick them up, making its cleaning task way longer than it needs to be especially for large rooms.
I think this vacuum is perfect for smaller homes. The battery life is actually pretty good, it last about 2hrs of cleaning before needing to recharge. The mop portion of the vacuum is AWFUL. It essentially just spreads water around on the floor.
My son spilt apple juice ( a few drops) when the vacuum was running, It wiped over them but the floor remained sticky. It may be ideal for someone who doesn’t have kids or pets, but don’t expect it to do any actual cleaning.
Obstacle Avoidance: ReactiveAI 2. 0 Obstacle avoidance uses a camera for hazard recognition, with an LED for recognition in dark rooms for accurate obstacle recognition in day or night. Real-Time Video Call: Video call to anywhere in your home through your robot.
See who you are talking to, and hear them too. Powerful Suction with Precision Navigation: Clean extra deeply with a maximum suction of 5100Pa in Max+ mode, and get maximum coverage with precision LiDAR navigation.
Avoiding the Unknown: Equipped with 3D Structured Light obstacle sensing, unknown obstacles are accurately identified and avoided. Sonic Vibration Technology: Mop effectively with sonic mopping that scrubs at up to 3000 cycles per minute to shift dried on stains.
Mop Floors and Vacuum Carpets in One Go: Mop more effectively with sonic vibration technology. The mop lifts automatically when a carpet is detected to mop floors and vacuum carpets in one run. Multi-Directional Floating Brush: Multi-plane floating brush keeps the brush close to the floor on uneven surfaces for better agitation.
Clean Your Way: Understand your home better with 3D Mapping, and tailor your cleaning with multi-level mapping, room specific settings, No-Go Zones, No-Mop Zones and more. Voice Control: Start a clean, change settings and more with the power of your voice.
I want to love it. It does clean nicely. It is SO HARD to divide the rooms and do the mapping. Yes, I am tech savvy. If your house is open concept at all, you can’t divide it. Roborock needs to do an update to the mapping.
The Legee 688 robotic 4-in-1 vacuum cleaner and mop offers an ingenious combination of two robotic cleaning appliances with the added advantage of being Wifi app controlled. This clever little cleaner comes with seven Talent Clean modes to ensure the best washing method is selected for the right area.
The scheduling queue ensures that it will clean your home or office, even when you are not there. The powerful vacuum can easily pick up small particles such as dust and hair, then mops the surface with the front cleaning cloth.
Only 2 weeks into having her, so early days. She has many pros and cons. Cons being limited ability to control her programming. She is stubborn and has her own mind. She does sometimes decide not to see a room or misses patches.
She runs every morning and I have to clean her half way through the process. Having said that. We live in the desert, we have only sand for a garden. 2 very active dogs, one of which is a not quite 3 month old, who loves bringing what bit of garden we have inside and this includes the compost heap.
1 husband, who think when I tell him I have just washed the floor when he walks in with half the beach on his boots, that I am warning him not to slip. Eish. Does she clean perfectly, No! Does she clean better than I can, 100% yes.
Any machine that can cope with my very cluttered, crazy house has to be given a thumbs up. Do I like her, no I don’t. I LOVE her. Her name is Sweetie Pie. Lets hope this is the start of a long happy relationship.
Works relatively well, however it does tend to leave out some rooms entirely. Which then requires a remote controlled manual clean. Would have received 5 stars if it could remember the area that it previously cleaned and to bypass that area if a new cleaning cycle is initiated.
Give your floors a powerful clean with the Ecovacs Deebot X1 Omni robot vacuum and mop. This premium cleaning system is equipped with voice controls and smart mapping technology for hands-free operation.
The auto-empty and auto-cleaning design ensures the collected dust and dirt is disposed of properly and the mops are cleaned and ready for reuse.
Over the years I’ve had the opportunity to try several robot vacuums, but nothing has come close to the ECOVACS Robotics DEEBOT X1 OMNI Robot Vacuum & Mop. This unit offers so many features and outperforms all previous units and it also includes a mop feature! What’s in the box: – DEEBOT X1 OMNI vacuum and mop robot – OMNI auto-emptying and auto-cleaning station – Extra dust bag – Extra pair of mopping pads – Cleaning brush – User manual When it arrived the size of the box was a little surprising, I was nervous about how big this robot might be.
Once unboxed, it is actually a very manageable size for our home. We have a perfect spot in our family room for the base unit which provides access to all the hardwood and tile flooring on the main level.
Setup: There are extensive instructions included (user manual) that are easy to follow and made the initial setup a breeze. Ecovacs has done an amazing job of simplifying the setup process for the non-technical user.
Both the Deebot (vacuum) and the Omni station (base – instructions attached) require setup. The base needs to be plugged in and the clean water tank filled. The DEEBOT should be fully charged before initial use.
The side brushes and mop pads can be installed at this point or left off for initial mapping of the required spaces. Once the area is mapped a 2D or 3D map is available, rooms can be identified, and zones can be setup and customized as desired.
There are numerous settings available based on user preferences. Cleaning: The DEEBOT X1 simply outperforms any previous robot vacuums I have owned. The unit runs quietly, and the mopping performance far exceeded my expectations.
We have a small dog that keeps us on our toes in terms of cleaning the hardwood and tile flooring and it’s now a snap. We get approximately 3-4 cleanings out of a tank and the clean up between uses is very manageable.
Pros: – Easy to set up and use – ECOVACS app is user friendly and packed with features – Cleaning capabilities of the mopping function are outstanding – Great build quality and design of vacuum and base unit – Very quiet and mostly self-sufficient – Video feature – we are on the road quite often and have used this feature for checking on our home while away Cons: – The base unit works in our home, but could see it being large for smaller spaces Overall: The ECOVACS Robotics DEEBOT X1 OMNI Robot Vacuum & Mop is a top-quality product packed with valuable and user-friendly features.
It’s probably the smartest “smart” device we own but is a breeze to setup and operate. I would recommend this unit to anyone looking for a robot vacuum with mopping capabilities.
Only prob so far was learning how to say yiko correctly, tec said it’s a common report and they are working on improving it but once you get use to saying it correctly she is all good, Would be good to give it your own name.
quick mapping works well and is pretty accurate and a bit of fun with the 3D plan. You can then name the rooms and schedule your own cleaning plan, down to how many times and what power on the vac. only jammed twice from one of the kids small pencils hiding under the bed and a large plastic wrapper kids bedroom again.
The station works really well with the auto empty and cleaning mop pads, no leaks and not to bad on the noise. I have about 180 square metres of floors to do,(the bot shows the area and time it takes) all at once the bot has to recharge and go out to finish off the last 30m, once it recharges for six hours, but once a schedule is set this won’t be a prob as only cleaning certain areas different times of the day.
Mopping does work well on fresh mess and a dusty floors but if its dried up sauce or liquid from kitchen cooking and you don’t get straight onto it the bot doesn’t have the scrubbing power to pick it up also no chemicals can be added to the water, ecovac are apparently going to have a product soon.
One other thing to take note is that it will not go onto carpet while the mop pads are in so you cannot schedule to do carpet and hard floors the same time, I have set up for hard floors on regular program and just pull out the mops for the carpet a couple time a week only bedrooms and a rug in the lounge bit of a pain for such an expensive toy, but not big issue as it takes thirty secs to change over.
The camera is great and being able to speak and check up on the kids is handy also to do a home security check, the cat comes out and checks the bot out each time I turn in on remotely. Overall very happy with it so far and believe it will improve as ecovac are identifying any improvements and adding to the algorithm.
Overall, the ECOVACS Robotics – DEEBOT X1 OMNI is a solidly-constructed robotic vacuum. I was able to test it in terms of mopping floors (which it did quite thoroughly) and am still looking at how it vacuums carpeting.
The base unit is about 40 or more pounds, even without water being inside one of the two liquid containers housed in the unit–so be prepared when you either pick up this unit from the store or have it delivered.
If you follow the directions in order, you’ll have no problems in getting the unit set up. I didn’t exactly do that, as I tend to be one to try to intuitively set something up (thinking if it’s engineered right, certain things should be obvious).
Follow the directions with this unit! The vacuum unit itself comes about seventy-or-so-percent charged, so you can begin a vacuum sequence straight out of the box. You will need to download the ECOVACS app (in my case, via the App Store) in order to interface with the device.
What’s interesting is that the firmware required two separate updates to become fully updated, reminiscent of going from Windows 9 to Windows 10 to Windows 11! I’ve not had a device before that required stepped updates.
However, once the updates were done, everything was set. It was too bad that there was at least one grammatical error within the app–one would think that in spending more than four figures on a vacuum system, folks would be more detail-oriented, but this didn’t effect functionality.
When I set up the vacuum to mop, I added Pine-Sol to the clean water container with no issues. As mentioned, the vacuum properly mapped the area to be mopped. The DEEBOT has a camera that allows you–via four-digit password protection–to literally see what it sees as it’s cleaning the area.
There’s apparently the ability to have phone calls and other interaction via the robot, which I think is a bit overboard, but I didn’t design it. Overall, this is a solid device that seems to work at least as good as the competition.
Is it worth the hefty price tag? I think that depends on what your needs are.

Reviews From Real Customers
I have been contemplating a robot vacuum for a few years. I finally took the plunge and purchased the Bissell EV755 on sale. My reasoning was that I had never had any experience with robot vacuums, mixed perspectives from friends on their experiences with robot vacs and didn’t want to spend too much.
I have used the unit for 2 months now. I operate the unit in two formats. First, I have scheduled a cleaning on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. It runs consistently for 110 minutes according to the logs.
I use it at the low setting for suction as my home is almost all hardwood with only a small surface of vinyl in my kitchen. Thus, no carpets, of any depth, from which to extract dirt. It performs incredibly well; cleans the surfaces thoroughly and completely, does not get lost nor stuck (I let it run without interference until it needs recharging and it goes back to the docking station), and I have inspected baseboards and many other areas after cleaning and nothing is missed.
I also run it on an as-needed basis if I need to clean outside the schedule. As an experiment, I have Swiffered the entire surface which my EV755 just cleaned to see if I would pick up anything that it left behind.
Nothing appeared on the Swiffer cloth. I do not have any pets and we are a family of three. For the price and the performance, I am very pleased so far. I hope this helps provide you some perspectives to inform your decisions.
The EV does good job of picking up dust and small bits of dirt off the floor. Larger things like leaves from my Basil plant don’t get picked up but really my upright vacuum doesn’t like them either. The instructions were vague regarding the cellphone app.
The EV was not in the product list. Finally I realized the QR code is under the dirt bin (take it out and viola), and was able to use that to register. I have it on a schedule for light cleans daily and heavy cleans twice a week.
So far, it’s done a decent job on the floors but my fuzzy bathroom mat and the tight space beside the toilet are its nemesis. I have to make sure the mat is picked up beforehand or close the bathroom door.
It also wanders a lot and tends to focus on the tight spaces, bouncing around from obstacle to obstacle with somewhat random (?) maneuvers. I think the programming should kick the “edge search” mode in sooner and maybe recognize when it’s going in circles around chair legs.
Otherwise, it does a good job in my 900 square foot apartment, and since I bought it on sale, was a lot less money than the competition.
I’m delighted with this little machine. It is very light so can be taken up and down stairs easily. It can be controlled from my phone and a cleaning schedule set if desired. I have a long haired cat so was constantly dragging out the heavy Hoover, but now I just press a button and the robot cleaner gets up all the hair with no effort on my part.
The dirt container is easily removed and emptied and the brush can be simply pulled off to remove hair. It works equally well on hard floors, carpets and rugs and stops at the edge of the stairs. The only disadvantage I can see is a possibility of its jamming on the fringe of a rug.
Also you must make sure there are no electrical cables around when using it. I will still use my large vacuum cleaner occasionally to get into corners and awkward spots, but for quick , easy cleanups the Bissell is very useful.
To shift dried-on dirt, vacuuming isn’t enough. You have to scrub. ROBOROCK S7’s sonic technology scrubs floors up to 3,000-times per minute. Eliminating dried-on dirt that some robots may leave behind, from coffee to muddy footprints and more.
Combined with ROBOROCK’s first auto-lifting mop, powerful mopping is yours with a whole new level of convenience. Add its all-rubber main brush and 2500Pa HyperForce suction and you have a true deep clean machine.
10. Roborock S5 Max Robot Vacuum & Mop Cleaner – Black
Map up to 4 levels of your home for the S5 MAX to manage for you.
Strong suction (2000Pa) with automatic boost for carpets and able to climb up to 0.8 inches, making it capable of cleaning any floor type.
Virtual no-go and no-mop zones keep the Roborock S5 MAX where you need it, when you need it.
This is an affiliate product listing with Amazon.
The Roborock S5 Max is engineered for seamless automated mopping, it has a super-sized water tank, precision water control, virtual no-mop zones, and more. Combined with precision laser mapping, advanced navigation, and intense vacuum suction, it makes spotless floors easier than ever.
The S5 Max’s laser rangefinder spins at 300rpm, sending 360 degree area scans through a custom algorithm in real-time. Using that data, it creates an accurate floorplan map, and it knows where rooms are.
A powerful 32-bit quad-core processor makes the S5 Max capable of an extraordinary level of intelligence. It understands the room’s shape and learns where obstacles are. It uses that knowledge to transform how it navigates, calculating the most efficient route for each room.
An array of sensors including an accelerometer, odometer, infrared, compass, bumper and its hyper-accurate map of your room, mean the S5 Max cleans efficiently on its own. Inside the S5 Max is a specialized fan spinning at 1500rpm, channeling its airflow through carefully designed pathways.
The suction it creates is strong enough to lift even AA batteries.
We purchased the Roborock S5 Max in August 2021 largely based on the positive reviews on this site. We were happy with the cleaning results and convinced the mother-in-law and sister-in-law in the USA to purchase one for their homes too.
We have been overseas for a couple of months visiting the family for the first time in years due to COVID lockdowns and upon returning home noticed that the base unit was not working and the vacuum could no longer be charged, nor could we log into the app to see when this happened based on the cleaning history.
However, it had to have happened within the 12 month warranty period. This was especially disappointing as the base unit literally sits on the ground and doesn’t move, so there was nothing we could have done to contribute to its demise.
We immediately put in a warranty request and they asked for a photo of the base unit etc. We supplied them with the photos and other information requested and they told us that the base unit was indeed defective but because the unit was now out of warranty (literally by about 6 days by this time) that they would not replace it and we would have to pay $140 for a new unit.
We then explained to them that we had only just returned home to the country to discover it broken and the unit would have 100% broke during the warranty period and requested that they please honour the replacement of it as we paid $800 for it and you would expect it to last longer than one year, especially the base unit component that doesn’t even move.
They didn’t even bother replying to these emails so a week later we emailed their customer service team. About five days later and after the standard “rest assured that we are looking into it” email, we were informed that “[We] have checked with the team, and it turns out that we are unable to honor your device replacement request.
” This is infuriating on many levels as we did everything requested and we were telling the truth and they refused to stand by their product even after admitting it was defective, relying on the loophole that the warranty period had expired merely days prior.
And then to be told “we are unable to honour your device replacement request” instead of the truth which is “we are totally able to honour your device replacement request, but we are choosing not to” just grates even further.
The thought of paying this company another $140 for a new base unit without even knowing whether the vacuum will charge and still work and knowing full well now that they will not stand by their product if it doesn’t, makes it even more disappointing.
Please do not purchase this vacuum if you are looking for a reliable product and good old fashioned customer service.
I have a very bad experience with this robot and support from Roborock Australia is pathetic from day1. These Bots are very expensive but only does a name sake help in terms of cleaning. They work but the cleaning is very poor.
Just waste of time or Energy. Energy bills will be more. I always had vacuum cleaner from Hoover they used to work for me for more than 5 years flawlessly and with perfect cleaning. This Robot mopping is waste of time on wooden floor.
I haven’t tried on tiles but. This does not have auto detection of carpet. So you have to create maps and you will surely end up not cleaning your house properly and someone had to do cleaning job after this finished its job.
Most of the dust is next to carpet as it cannot capture the edges properly and leaves some of the dust collected in different places. I raised complaining about the cleaning and its leaving the dust in others areas and realized worst part is their support.
They took all video evidences , photos and wasted my time for more than two weeks and simply said main brush got damaged and they wont be covering parts. All this drama happened within 6 months of purchase.
And little rubber came out of main brush and they are using that to escape from the complaint. what an useless support. Its too much price. If i was given a chance to go back in time i would better but some decent cordless vacuums with this price and never fall for these online marketing and paid reviews.
Robots are supposed to make our life easier. but never felt that way with this robot. Its a double work as you would need to clean your house anyways after its job.
Thought Roborock was the best at navigating. Bought this to replace a 7 year old “dumb” Roomba that bounced around like a ping pong ball. Figured the more advanced Roborock with mapping LiDAR would avoid getting stuck and easily find its way around.
Despite multiple reviews telling me that this was the best m, and especially good for the mid grade model, they were all wrong. Instead, I found this thing getting stuck over and over again in the same places including getting stuck under entertainment centers, stuck under vanities and bureaus, stuck in my radiators, stuck trying to get over lips to other rooms – – just basically stuck everywhere, all the time.
What’s more frustrating is that the mapping feature was sporadic at best. Despite multiple reviews claiming it would be super easy to set up maps and cleaning zones and mark off areas that might be troublesome – – I found it to be the opposite.
The maps never seem to stick and it often seemed confused about what room it was in. We have a multi level house so of course I can’t map the entire floor at once. Just a terrible experience overall.
I don’t know if I am willing to go to a higher level model given the software problems as well.
With a tangle-free pet hair care technology, focuses on picking up hairs, dirt, debris on hard floors Low profile design to clean under beds, furniture where dirt hides. Ideal for hardwood, tile, laminate or stone.
Self-charging, programmable schedule, smart sensors for anti-bump and anti-fall. Runtime 90-100 mins Easy operation with remote control, or one touch auto clean button on robot. Tip: Easy maintenance, empty dustbin and clean the filter after each use.
An innovative laser navigation robotic vacuum cleaner with 2000Pa X 2 suction power—perfect for pet hair. Brand-new eufy technology has doubled the suction power to achieve a deeper level of clean. Two turbines, each generating up to 2000Pa of intense suction, efficiently increases cleaning power.
Leave the floors to RoboVac X8 Series so you can focus on the more important things. Double down on power, double down on life. Clean up to 57. 6% more pet hair with the immense power of the Twin Turbines.
The 80% increase in airflow reduces entanglement on the roller brush for more efficient vacuuming around the house. UltraPack Dust-Compression Technology increases the dust box volume ultilization rate by 127%, so more dust can be collected than ever before.
With dust compacted so tightly, less will fly around when it’s time to empty the dust box. eufy RoboVac X8 Auto Charging Robotic Vacuum in Black | T2262J11.
eufy by Anker’s G20 RoboVac is quite nicely made. The plastics used are high quality and it feels sturdy and robust. It’s easy to set-up and is pretty much ready to go out of the box. Once it’s charged you can send it on a cleaning run with the buttons on the vacuum itself or through the app.
While cleaning it is fairly quiet, avoids most obstacles, follows a reasonable pattern, and is gentle when it bumps into walls and furniture. It’s low profile and fits under most furniture easily. It had no issues traversing from carpet to throw rugs to tiles floors.
Overall, I was impressed with it’s ability to navigate the lower floor in our 2000 square foot townhouse. It cleaned the living, dining, kitchen, bathroom, and den in about 1. 5 hours. When it finished its first cleaning run the bin was almost completely full or dirt and carpet fuzz.
and this was on a carpet that looked clean and had recently been manually vacuumed. With that said the carpeting in our house is not the highest quality and sheds quite a bit with each cleaning. The app to control the vacuum works well on my iPhone 12 running iOS 15.
It’s an easy to use app and offers the ability to check the vacuum’s status, send it on a cleaning run, change some settings, and set up an automated cleaning schedule. The app does not allow you to set no-go zones since the eufy is not a smart mapping vacuum.
This was my first experience with a robot vacuum and I’m happy to say it’s been a very good experience! The initial setup was quick and easy and while the app is simple it gives you access to all the features you need.
Once the RoboVac has mapped out your home you can easily set up rooms and no-go zones. It seems to easily learn the optimal route of each room to efficiently clean and has no issues going over carpets or around table legs.
The RoboVac is certainly powerful and comes with four different suction settings, as well as a “BoostIQ” feature that will adjust the suction based on the surface it’s going over. I have no complaints about its ability here – very good! The mopping works well but it’s probably not going to be a replacement for regular mopping.
The attachment is easy to insert and remove though, and the mopping cloth is washable and reusable. It’s still worth using especially in the kitchen to keep things tidy! Cleaning and emptying the RoboVac is also quite simple.
The dust collector comes out easy and pops open to dump the collected mess into the bin. The rolling brush can be popped out and cleaned as well (long-haired users beware, you’ll wanna keep the brushes and wheels free of hair!) Overall I’m very happy with the RoboVac! I set up a schedule for it through the app and it seems to be working perfectly.
My only wish is that I can give it a British butler voice!.
In our household, all vacuums suffer under long people hair and the hair from our Malamute dogs. And all vacuums we had so far were a pain to clean, often have to be disassembled beyond normal cleanup to get all the hair out and make moving parts move again.
The X8 however seems to have all moving parts designed in such a way as to minimize or completely avoid hair getting where it should not get. And in places where it can’t be totally avoided, like the end of the rollers, the designers added a groove that perfectly fits the cutter coming with the device, making hair removal trivial.
About the only odd thing is the behavior when the vacuum “heads home” to its charging base, sometimes it seems to do everything possible to try and avoid finding it. But I am sure that will be fixed with a future firmware upgrade.
Multi-floor handling isn’t working great. Sometimes it doesn’t quite identify its surroundings right, and starts mapping on top of an existing map of another floor. That could be handled better and more intuitive.
All in all though this vacuum has made a huge difference in our life, enough so that we bought one for each floor.

Our four year old “bumbling” Roomba, Ruby, died perhaps four weeks ago and wasn’t revived by a replacement battery. Pretty sure it will continue to serve us by using I3’s base charger. Enter a Irobot Roomba I3 into our lives.
Here’s the good and the bad, short and sweet. The Roombas well-designed and well built. The I3 certainly has a more powerful suction than the Model 650 and it does well traversing between our area rugs, hardwood and tile.
Somehow, the I3 seems less attracted to charging cords and rug fringes than Ruby was. OCD types will be thrilled by the straight-line navigation of I3. However, the straightline navigation seems to insure that the I3 will get stuck under overstuffed chairs.
So far, it has avoided the low hanging (less than 3. 6″) S-shaped fronts on several pieces of furniture, but it especially lusts after a particular overstuffed chair. It’s not evident what I3 navigation achieves in terms of assuring more complete coverage, or the ability to clean more rapidly.
The more expensive models (I7 and I9) apparently do a more complete mapping and remember the mapping, and thus may be programmed to avoid certain areas. However, the aforementioned chair has lead me to order one of Roomba’s way overpriced markers to keep I3 from running under the chair.
The WiFi is not really relevant for our situation, as we are retired and count pushing the “Clean” button as exercise. Perhaps WiFi has some utility in setting up a cleaning schedule, but that’s not important to us either.
Bottom line: The simpler your floor plan, the happier you’ll be. If you have more than one goldendoodle, you will probably want the selfcleaning base. If your internet connection involves a hotspot, be prepared to scratch your head and experiment a bit.
I think one of the videos addresses this situation, but I still put several hours into the setup, only to discover it wasn’t going to do much for us. The Roomba I3 will give you a cleaner house.
The promise of this device is that you buy it and it sweeps the floor for you. Unfortunately, the device is not “smart” and has so many issues that the work you have to do to manage it takes more time than sweeping once a week.
Here’s what’s bad: – Cleaning the drawer. It gets filled up after one or two cleanings so you’re regularly getting your hands dirty to keep the thing running – It’s not smart. It has a map feature but even after you invest the time to set that up, it doesn’t follow it exactly.
There’s a part of my apartment that’s not level – even after setting that up as a separate room, it still sometimes falls in and gets stuck. I have chairs that it gets stuck on as well. So before every “automatic cleaning” I have to lift the chairs on my counter, erect a barrier infant of the dip and scan the room for anything on the floor that it might have trouble with – Sometimes it doesn’t perfectly line up when it goes back to the station so it doesn’t charge.
Then you have to line it up manually and wait for it to charge before you start cleaning – It can’t handle long hair. If there’s a woman in your household – forget about this thing. Long hairs get tangled in the circular thing at the front so you have to chop at it with scissors to get it untangled – and this happens about once a month with one long haired person in the house.
– They recommend you clean the chargers once a month. In addition to everything else, you have to make sure the charger contacts aren’t getting obstructed by dirt. – Sometimes it just fully won’t work.
In my last instance, the power went out in the apartment and the iRobot didn’t like that. Now it won’t charge or start. Save yourself the experience of being a slave to this cleaning tool – DO NOT BUY.
I didn’t have high expectations for the i3 EVO. I have a higher end iRobot vacuum and purchased this one for my upstairs. I wish it were a bit smarter with mapping things out while vacuuming. I had to send it out a couple of times to map the area, then I was able to tell it to avoid certain areas.
The i3 EVO was smart enough to not fall down stairs, though it looked like it was going to hurl itself off the top stairs. It was about 1/3rd of the way off before reversing itself the first couple of times.
Now it stays on the edge of the top stairs and is smart enough to not get too close. The vacuum takes about 45 minutes to clean four rooms and a small hallway. It isn’t as fast as my other one, but it is good enough for my needs.
I went with the i3 EVO because it tries to vacuum in straight lines instead of just meandering. The carpet looks better with the straight lines and the i3 EVO also included better rotational brushes that clean pet hair.
The bin is easy to empty, it does fill up faster than I expected. Either it’s doing a good job cleaning and/or my upstairs is dirtier than I previously thought. I’m able to control the i3 EVO with both Alexa and Google Home, I don’t have issues commanding either assistant to send the vacuum out to individual rooms or the whole upstairs.
People wanting a good, first robotic vacuum or a secondary one would be fine with this. It isn’t as fancy as iRobot’s more expensive models, and I do think it is worth upgrading to get the charging dock/bin combo, but this does the trick and works great with pet hair.

I got this in 2019. Was not worth it. I speak from experience of owning this vacuum for two years and it just didn’t do the job. To not be completely negative here are the things I like. 1. The color 2.
The name 3. Relatively quiet(ish) Here is why I don’t like Bobi pet. 1. It spends several hours going over the same area unless you guide it out. Even in that area it doesn’t really get near the wall so dirt just gets pushed to the side.
And yeah, I could come over and sweep it with a broom, but that’s not the point of getting a robot vacuum is it? 2. The accessories are way to expensive. I may have thought, “oh, if I get it a new brush and a new whatcha ma call thems, it will sweep better, maybe”.
When I go to check, replacement brushes are only sold by the company and costs over 60 dollars. It just seems like digging myself deeper into a hole for a vacuum that was never very good to begin with.
3. Gets stuck on every piece of furniture. For example, if it goes under the T. V cabinet it thinks it’s in the bermuda triangle because it never comes out. If you try to set a schedule or a clean for when you leave the house it either gets stuck near the charging station or you find it in some random corner of the house.
4. It can’t find it’s charging base. Please see point three about getting stuck all over the place. You will always charge this manually. Which is better anyway since the A/C adapter is much more reliable than the charging base.
5. It is a huge hassle to clean between vacuum sessions. I think they outfitted Bobi with the smallest dustpan possible, which results in very little cleaning per operation and a lot of overspill of dust to other components of the machine.
I live in a place near main highways and it gets dusty here quite rapidly, and Bobi just can’t make a dent into the cleaning. 0/5 stars. Would not recommend. Do yourself a favor and do what I did this year, wait for a good sale on the name brand one and buy that one.
It has vacuumed circles around Bobi (physically and metaphorically). Make sure the replacement parts (filter, brushes and the like) are a good price before committing to any vacuum model. Good luck on getting a better deal than I did when I bought this inefficient bobi pet.
bObi helps with everyday cleaning but does not replace a real vacuum cleaner. I don’t have pets so I cant comment on pet hair but it does collect a lot of stuff during its journey around my house. Its is easy to use but the pairing of the remote and barrier block is not so easy.
But once its paired, you can use the remote to guide bObi where it needs to go, because it does need some guidance around my house to clean everywhere it should. Much quieter compared to the previous bObi I had, which stopped working within the 2-year warranty and was replaced but I had to pay the $30 shipping fee to get it fixed.
(I was sent a new bObi). I tried the mop attachment once, its too small and the pad does not keep moist for long but neither does a disposable brand name floor cloth. It is much quicker to just manually mop the floor after it is done vacuuming if needed.
bObi gets stuck in some areas like corners of rugs, kitchen mat and it moves my tray/side tables out of place but it does not clean close to my white baseboards. The longer brush sent with the new units helps out that issue but sometimes the brush is on the wrong side to clear next to the wall.
Two brushes would make this unit much better. Never makes it back to the dock on it’s own to charge. I have to pick up or use the remote to guide it after it runs every time, but that could be because the base is next to my tv.
All robotic vacuums have issues, but the Customer Service plus longer lasting battery made the difference. bObi’s customer support is impressive, they respond quickly and fully stand behind their product.
I will start this by saying this is our first and only experience with a robot/floor vacuum. The BobSweep works great but has some issues (as do most I assume) but the customer care team is the best and very responsive.
We have a large lab that sheds seemingly by the hour and Bobi will work to clean that up along with any other dust or debris. She does a great job keeping on schedule and the dog hair under control. The issue we had was the wheel bearings would go out and Bobi would quit working or spinning in circles, and we would have to replace them.
This is where the customer care team was great, they sent them to me and assisted me with instructions written and links to videos. Bobi is very easy to maintain and fix if need be, every moving part is replaceable which is nice when you need to work on the robot.
In summary Bobi works great as a floor vacuum and the remote is easy to use and program.
ILIFE V3s is a model speciallyfor families who keep pets. Its slim body design and pet hair care technology help thoroughlyclean every corner in your house, saving more time for you to enjoy happy time with your family and pets.
The best home gadget I have ever had! It’s just an amazing! After a long hard day, I have no power to fight with my messy house, this robot vacuum helps a lot. Suction is good enough (not as good as my Shark vacuum) to pick all the small and bigger bits.
Leaves my floor nice and clean. How I ever lived without it before?😂.
I love this vacuum. It doesn’t find its way back home but it works miracles hands down picking up dog hair. I have seven Chihuahua’s life was a nightmare with trying to keep up with the dog hair not any more.
I run it every morning while I’m getting ready for work and then when I get home 12 hrs late from work. Its the best.
We love the Ilife V3S robot vacuum ( pets version of course, for those of us with very hairy fur balls )! Purchased on Amazon after reading pretty good reviews about it! A good price for the product! I’ve had this bad boy for over a year and a half now and it’s still going strong after having been accidentally kicked across the room on numerous occasions.
It really does pick up giant quantities of pet hair – which cut down on my sweeping and manually vacuuming everyday! I docked a star because I really wish it mapped out the areas in which it vacuumed! It just randomly goes from place to place with no real rhyme or reason, but I still love the thing! Does its job!.

This robot features some of the most advanced navigation, and the best mopping and vacuuming functionality available. Granted, you’ll pay a high price for this kind of functionality compared to other robot vacuums.
Is the S7 MaxV worth the cost? If you want the best cleaning for your floors, you’ll likely agree that it is. Intelligent Mopping and Powerful Vacuuming If you’re like most people, you have both hard floors and carpets or rugs in your home.
If you had robot vacuums in the past, you may have been frustrated by their inability to get all of the floors in your home clean. The S7 MaxV isn’t like other robot vacuums. It can get both your hard floors and your carpet incredibly clean and will take half the time to do it.
Intelligent mopping enables this robot to mop your hard floors until it gets to the carpet. It automatically senses the carpet and lifts up the mop so that your carpet won’t be dampened. Once the robot gets onto hard floors again, it returns to mopping.
The high-speed sonic mopping is extremely effective at scrubbing even difficult stuck-on messes and stains. Scrubbing at up to 3000 times per minute with high pressure throughout enables this robot to clean even the hardest messes.
This is one of the few robot vacuums on the market that enables you to mop with soap. It utilizes a special solution that is unique to Roborock. This cleaning solution works better on tough stains, gets rid of bacteria, and leaves a lovely tea tree scent.
It is safe for kids and pets. An electric water tank ensures that exactly the right amount of moisture is distributed each and every time. A 200 mL water tank capacity is plenty of liquid to thoroughly clean your space.
5100 PA of suction is powerful enough to pick up even the most difficult debris. This is twice the power of Roborock’s previous model. A floating brush made of durable rubber does an excellent job of staying close to your floors even if they’re a bit uneven.
It can also prevent hair from getting tangled in it, ensuring that more hair ends up in the dustbin and less on the brush. Superb Navigation The S7 MaxV has some of the best navigation in the industry.
The adaptive route algorithm enables it to pick the most efficient route depending on the shape of the room and the obstacles that it sees. It can scout out the room ahead of time before it has even made a lap, enabling it to pick the best route right away.
LDS laser navigation enables this robot to map your home to within. 8 in. This means that the robot will never be surprised by an obstacle it didn’t see or run into something that’s in a different place than it expected.
Reactive AI 2. 0 is powered by an RGB camera, neural processing unit, and 3D structured light that enable the robot to recognize any obstacles in its path much more easily. This impressive robot can even tell the difference between obstacles, enabling it to clean tightly around a pair of slippers but stay far away from pet waste.
A highly accurate map is generated of your home, including the shape and location of the rooms and any obstacles such as furniture. S7 MaxV can recognize which room is which using your furniture and will suggest which level of suction power and scrubbing intensity to use per room.
The map is saved so that you can use it to control how and where the robot cleans in the future. It also allows you to see where the robot is in your home at any given time. When the S7 MaxV needs to charge, it will automatically go back to the charging station.
I had my previous Roborock vacuum for 7 years and it still runs and does a pretty good job. I bought the S7 Max V with the combo wash, fill, empty dock and I couldn’t be happier with them. The first thing I noticed is the S7 Max V is remarkably quieter than my previous vac.
Also the addition of cameras and lights to augment the robots “vision” and the in built reactive AI make it way more resilient to rouge items on the floor, cables, socks, any thing below the laser that would have been before is now (mostly) picked up my the cameras and avoided before the robot can get stuck.
Occasionally a cable or a particularly flat sock does catch the robot up, but it seem to happen less if the room is well lit. The mopping performance is very very good, I have a wood laminate through the entry, dining room, kitchen and living room with an area rug in the livingroom and a small door mat rug thing with some fringe, the bathrooms are two different types of tile with the bedrooms and hallways being carpeted, I have had no issues with the robot mopping where it shouldn’t, It detects what is fabric and what is not and leaves a respectable distance between any transitions before putting down the mop pad, the small fringed rug is sometimes moved a bit and i suspect its getting dragged by the mop dropping early.
I will say the dock adds the feature where the mop pad is washed every 20 minutes so its always fairly fresh. My floors look new getting mopped and vacuumed every day. The brush design on the S7 Max is designed to not get as clogged with hair and short term experience says yes this silicone only design is working as intended, my partner has long hair and I am well bearded so this is usually a problem.
All in all I 100% reccomend this vacuum and if you can swing it the dock is in my mind a no brainer. However even without the dock this robot is an awesome improvement, if it lasts half as long as my old one ill be happy.
We have been a fan of Roborock’s robotic vacuum cleaners for a while now. Our beloved Sally, a Roborock S5 Max, was our first foray into robotic cleaners and was the reason we decided to splurge on the S7 MaxV robot vacuum cleaner.
We love our S5 Max, and Sally still dutily cleans the upstairs of our house. Downstairs, we needed something that did a better mop job and had greater suction. There are a few options out there, but already loving Sally, we decided to stick with Roborock and get the S7 MaxV.
In so many ways, the S7 MaxV changes the game. The sonic mopping feature is noticeable in how good of a job it does. We live in an area with red dirt the kids and dogs bring into the house. The upgraded mopping pad is incredible in how well it cleans.
While we wanted a robot cleaner that could vacuum and mop, we chose the S7 MaxV because of its obstacle avoidance. As much as we love our S5 Max, Sally is a bit bulldozer when it comes to cleaning. The primitive approach to obstacle avoidance is bashing into walls and furniture to find the boundaries and limitations of a room.
The kids leave their toys on the floor sometimes, our dog has an accident, or something gets left on the floor. Sally would have run over those or got tangled. The annoying thing with our S5 Max was needing to clean up before our robot could clean.
You had to prepare the rooms you wanted to clean, which was always annoying. The S7 MaxV, to a certain degree, allows you just to set it and forget it. In most instances, it will avoid obstacles and has an impressive feature where it can identify the type of obstacle.
It detected our double sofa and identified it on the map. It will detect shoes and waste matter on the floor that you don’t want to be dragged around. Where the S7 MaxV isn’t quite there in terms of obstacle avoidance is cables.
While it will sometimes identify cables and go around them, I have noticed that every so often, it will still get tangled around charging cables and leads left on the floor. Maybe twice a week, you’ll come downstairs hoping to see Harry has completed his scheduled cleaning, only to discover he isn’t at his dock and is tangled around some headphones in the hallway.
Shortly before posting this review, Harry got himself into another mess. We had some curtains waiting to be hung up on the floor. Forgetting, we have Harry scheduled to clean at 6 am every morning. We came downstairs to find the curtains tangled in the main brush.
But, before our S7 MaxV stopped, it had dragged those curtains around the floor, knocking a large bowl of dog water onto it. We came downstairs and thought maybe a pipe was leaking in the kitchen. The obstacle avoidance hardware is there, but I think Roborock needs to continue improving this feature on a software level.
It’s one of the primary reasons for not giving this review five stars. There are some gimmicky features like the ability to remotely see through the camera on the S7 MaxV, which we don’t use. We got Harry for vacuuming and mopping, which he does pretty well.
Despite the obstacle avoidance hiccups, it’s a trouble-free life. We also purchased the auto-wash empty dock too. We hesitated a bit because the dock itself is almost as much as the S7 MaxV. We got it because our experience with the S5 Max taught us that you must clean your robot often.
The mop cloth needs to be cleaned often, and things like emptying the dustbin and refilling the water tank require effort. We’ve gone from daily maintenance to weekly maintenance. With the dock, it will wash the mop pad, empty the dustbin and refill the water tank.
If you can afford it, it’s the perfect accessory for the S7 MaxV. Overall between the S7 MaxV and the auto-wash empty dock, we have never been happier. I know this vacuum is expensive, but it’s one of the best you can buy on the market right now.
If our S5 Max is any indication, the S7 MaxV will last a very long time.
Exceeds my expectations. We have a fair amount of clutter and previous robot vacuums really struggled unless we were very careful that the floors were nearly completely clear before using them. We had never tried a Robot vacuum with mopping capabilities before, but we love it.
One thing to be aware of, while it raises the mop when it detects carpet, it only raises enough to be really effective on very low pile carpet. We set mop no go zones to control the path, and have one S7 MaxV that focuses on hard floors and one that isn’t used for mopping.
We have over 3000sq ft so we were planning to have two regardless, but know that with any type of soft carpet it will still make the carpet a bit damp where it crosses. Depending on home layout and carpet type, this could be no problem, a minor inconvenience, or a deal breaker.
This is still a 5 star product, it’s amazing, just not quite THAT level of magical. If the floor types work within its capabilities, it really does feel like we have a maid. We have the Auto Empty dock with the Bayless option, and may add the wash fill empty dock depending on how much of a chore manual refills and cleaning or changing the mop head turns put to be.
So far it’s not bad, but we have only had it for around a week so far. We bought a lot of spare mop cloths for it so we can swap in a clean one quickly and then wash a large batch of them at once in the washing machine.
We air dry them though to avoid shrinkage. Amazing product, highly recommended.

It cleans carpet and wood surfaces with no problem. Overall I am very satisfied with this vacuum. In order to prevent it from going to certain places I place paper boxes on the edge to block it, and it can even clean a big carpet and even under the table too.
Bought this Robot Vacuum about two weeks ago. Its easy to set up and operate smartly. The appearance is very good, and the black is very pretty. Functional sound is acceptable, within the acceptable range.

Reviews From Real Customers
If you’re unfamiliar with the power and wonder of most robot vacuums, this vacuum may seem great. I was dooped in to buying this product by the other assumingly paid reviews whose reviewers probably received their product for free.
Their reviews detail how the great the product is despite all the things wrong with it. The lack of suction, the random pattern it vacuums, it gets stuck constantly and can’t figure out how to get unstuck, the beater bar is like old school vacuums and can’t be removed or easily cleaned.
After a few uses, the bar was almost unusable with the amount of hair wrapped around it. By the way, you won’t find this with name brand robot vacuums. It didn’t come with a remote like it was supposed to and the app wouldn’t connect.
I wanted this to work so badly but I was wildly disappointed. I finally went to Walmart to return the item only to be told it’s unreturnable. The manager said to reacu the company to return it and they never got back to me.
I called 1800Walmart and they sent me a refund of this product and the warranty plan I purchased for it. I will avoid this Joybuy company at all costs now. Thankfully Walmart made it right.
After the first couple of uses, we thought we were going to like this robot vac, however it has since stopped using any “map” it had created and it gets stuck in the same place all the time. There is no way to tell it to avoid certain areas and it doesn’t come with anything to put in place to tell the vac to avoid certain areas, like the Roomba does.
Roomba had its own issues, so that is why we tried this one. Also, the scheduled times kept being changed within the app. We would set it for 10am each day to vac while we were gone, but the app kept changing the time to either 6pm or 2am.
Each time it ran, we noticed a new problem, so we just decided to return it and try another brand.

I am very very very happy. Its only for a try but the moment I turn it on it is so good. Cant believed it will clean our floors that good its so cute its like it is program to go under our dining table it goes there first and really stays there until all crumbs and what ever falls there are gone then goes to the living room then the kitchen.
Sometime kitchen then living room but always first under our dining table. Although Sometimes its having hard time going back to the dock but its okay most of the time it does. Wow wow wow. For me it is one of the excellent purchases I ever did.
I don’t need the more advance one it does what i wanted it to do. Simple and direct approach. 5 star all the way. We are so tempted to give it a name it’s like a pet. A very helpful pet. :D.
Bought this while it was on sale and honestly didn’t have the highest of expectations for it. Having never owned a robot vacuum before i didnt really have anything to compare it to. That being said, this little guy is amazing! I’ve had it for a few weeks now and find it does a really decent job of keeping the floors clean, and it handles a large amount of pet hair quite well.
Its obvious that this thing doesnt know where its going, it simply bounces off of walls and randomly moves around the house/room, however it does seem to eventually get everything, including corners and under most furniture.
I would definitely recommend this as an entry level robot vacuum, if you are considering it, just do it!.
A robot vacuum and mop for pet hair can be a great way to keep your home clean and free of pet hair. However, there are a few things you should keep in mind when using one of these devices. First, you need to make sure that the vacuum is designed specifically for pet hair.
Some vacuums are not powerful enough to pick up all the hair, and others may even damage your flooring. Second, you need to be sure to empty the vacuum regularly, as pet hair can quickly clog the device.
Finally, you should always test the vacuum on a small area of your floor before using it on a larger area, as you don’t want to accidentally damage your floors.
