Rice cookers with stainless steel inner pots are designed to evenly cook rice while maintaining its flavor and aroma. The pot is usually coated with a non-stick material to prevent sticking and burning, and to make cleanup easier.
Some models have a steam tray to steam vegetables or meats while the rice is cooking.

The Panasonic 1. 5 Rice Cooker is exactly what we wanted, and we are very pleased. It is petite and practical, and serves exactly the amount of rice needed for two people. We prepare rice with our meals everyday, and the rice comes out perfectly cooked each time.
The rice cooker comes with an interior removable non-stick pan and a small plastic measuring cup, (making prep and clean up easy). The unit makes the exact amount of rice stated, and does not overheat or leak at all (as other brands of rice cookers I have owned in the past have done.
) The small size would be perfect for a dorm room or for folks like me who have very little counter space, and don’t like clutter. Although it is priced a bit higher than some rice cookers that were larger, this was still an ideal choice for us.
We make the exact amount of excellently cooked rice we need, with no waste at all, and that has made it a great value. I would definitely recommend it, as it has been worth the price, and we are happy with our choice.
(Added note, as to directions for cooking: It says to rinse the rice, and to use a 2:1 ratio of water to rice, as usual. However, our preference is to use Jasmine rice, and not to rinse. We also use less water than recommended, and a small dab of butter and pinch of salt.
The rice is always tasty and fluffy. Just perfect!).
I was wary because of the price, but I was tired of cooking more rice than one person could use. Very happy! Cooker is good quality, well made. Aluminum, not painted metal. Could mark it down for not having a warmer cycle; not a biggy.
Maybe mark it down because cord doesn’t detach for storing, nit a biggy. This little cooker is a dandy!.
Bought this for use in making two person servings. It’s perfect and will even make more than enough for two people. Works perfectly, very simple. 1) Measure rice using little cup supplied 2) pour into a strainer and rinse rice under cold water 3) transfer rice into cooking bowl 4) add water same amount as rice) and turn on.
After it turns off wait about 20 minutes for rice to fully steam and you’re done. Couldn’t be easier to make restaurant quality rice. Bowl is non-stick so you don’t waste rice by having it stuck to the pan.
Cute little cooker fits easily into a cabinet for storage. It’s more expensive than some other small cookers, but for a lifetime of service worth the price. Go for it! No diappointments.
Cooks rice automatically and then switches to a stay warm mode when rice is fully cooked, keeping rice warm for hours. The inner cooking bowl is a beautiful solid mirror finish stainless steel. The glass lid allows you to view the rice or vegetables while cooking and the easy view indicator lights identify cooking modes.
Also comes with a vegetable steamer tray, measuring cup and rice paddle for use on 120 vac 60hz only. Yields 12 cups of rice. Stainless steel inner bowl and glass lid allows you to view rice. Automatic keep warm function.
Comes with vegetable steamer tray, measuring cup and rice paddle. Stainless steeldimension – 8 7/8 x 11 3/8 x 11 1/4 in. Item weight – 4. 8 Lbs.
Love it- had my old one for countless years- finally gave out. This one improved by having the steamer on top with heat proof handles- (old one sunk into the pot & hot to remove with steaming veg). I use it every day several times- always perfect rice & veg, buckwheat, oats, potatoes,quinoa- keeps it warm when done.
Could not imagine being without it. The Stainless steel – no worries about plastics.
I’ve been using the Miracle cooker for over 5 years now. The stainless steel quality is excellent and clean up is easy. You can cook many things other than rice too. It is also very energy efficient at 500 watts, and the steamer tray works great to steam vegetables.
If I had to choose one “desert island appliance” it would be the Miracle Rice Cooker. It’s built rock solid, simple to use, and is very versatile.
This is by FAR the best rice cooker on the market. Made with stainless steel, but is still non stick and super easy to clean, large enough capacity for my family of 6 and can steam veggies (or make hard boiled eggs) on the top basket while making rice.
Also makes perfect steel cut oats, quinoa and all types of rice. Just set it and it will automatically switch to warming mode when done. Perfect!.
Aroma Simply Stainless rice cooker has a stainless inner pot for cooking purpose without the fear of loose particles from it getting scratched during use. The glass lid with the over sized vent prevents the sputters of water from around the cover while boiling.
Just lift the inner pot out and allow the rice to cool to release the rice on the bottom of the pot.
Rinse rise before putting it in the bowl. Then add water. When it finished cooking , don’t let it set in the pot on warm. Take the bowl out and leave it covered. Works great. Very little sticking in the stainless steel bowl.
The size of this rice cooker is perfect for 6 people. The price is low, yet it looks good too, but it always have burned rice at the bottom of the cooker and the rice is not as moist as steam rice. I don’t know whether it’s reliable or not, because I don’t use it anymore.
Easy to open hinged cover with carrying handle. Non-stick pot removes for easy serving and cleaning. Dimensions: 11. 38″ L x 10. 75″ W x 10″ H. It cooks rice to perfection, keeps it hot for hours and looks good doing it.
Digital push button controls make it easy and a steam basket lets you work your magic on veggies while your rice cooks.

Reviews From Real Customers
I had a favorable shopping experience when I purchased this product. I had this item shipped to Walmart (to ensure that the delivery wouldn’t be stolen from my front door). When I arrived to the store there was no one in line in the pick up department and I was in and out of Walmart in about five minutes.
When I opened the package, I was pleased to see that all of the items were included in the shipment. The rice cooker comes with a rice paddle (spoon), measuring scoop and a steaming basket (for vegetables and/or fish/poultry).
The instructions for operating the product were easy to follow. The rice pot has separate markings to accurately measure either white or brown rice. The manual also has a small section that offers a suggested steaming time for cooking certain vegetables and fish/poultry.
The first time I used the rice cooker the bottom of the cooked rice had a light brown, crust-like appearance, which was a normal result when using the product. To get around this, I add a teaspoon of buttery vegetable spread in the water.
I have used the cooker several times and I have been extremely pleased with my purchase.
As a Pacific Islander, white rice has always been a must-have-side-dish. breakfast, lunch, dinner. First off, my order arrived in a week. The body itself looks very nice. Seriously easy to use. Super easy to clean.
The seal when closed is so strong that it keeps the rice well longer. Cooks my Jasmine rice perfectly every time! And quick, too! The only thing that threw me off (but not a deal-breaker at all for me) was how it is advertised (even on box) for being a 16-cup rice cooker.
IT DOES NOT COOK 16-cups at once. The pot has seperate measurements embossed inside for up to 8-cups max of brown rice, and then 8-cups max of white rice. So, it is an 8-cup rice cooker. There is no way you can fit 16-cups at one time.
I don’t know why they post it so unclearly like that. But again, that was NOT a deal-breaker for me because I do not need 16-cups. This is one of the best rice cookers I’ve ever had! I’m so glad I chose it (and so is my hubby).
This is my first time owning a Presto rice cooker. I hope it lasts a long time!.
I purchased the Presto rice cooker for the modern design and functionality. The main purpose was for cooking rice. The water markings inside the bowl, is a great idea; no need to measure cups of water.
I cooked eight cups of mixed Jasmine and Korean rices, and the outcome was perfect. The second time, I cooked four cups of the same mix of rice, with very good results. The rice did not stick to the bottom of the bowl, that is easy to wash.
A tip for cooking rice is to add a couple of tablespoons of cooking oil to the water, that prevents the rice from sticking to the bowl. I own two Presto products, and am very pleased with the quality.
Our multi-functional rice cooker and steamer is a great way to prepare dishes like Fish Chowder, Moroccan lamb stew, and Jambalaya. This appliance saves space by acting as a rice cooker and crock pot all in one appliance.
Proving to be a great addition for small kitchens or kitchens where you need to preserve counter and storage space. Made of stainless steel grade #304. Uses indirect heating system to preserve taste and texture in food dishes.
Indirect heating system heats and steams the entire pot, so dishes are tastier and are cooked evenly. TAC-11QN cooker includes a steaming tray for steaming your favorite dishes such as dim sum, tamales and vegetables etc.
A multi-functional rice cooker and steamer that is great for preparing hot fluffy rice, steaming veggies and seafood, anda variety of other dishes. This easy-to-use one step rice cooker makes up to 11 cups of uncooked rice (22 cups cooked rice).
This is enough rice to serve large families or social gatherings. Durable 18/8 (food grade 304) stainless steel inner pot and outer pot, it’s easy to clean and retains its luster over time. The indirect heating technology heats and steams the entire pot, so dishes are tastier and are cooked evenly.
The cooker features a Keep Warm On/Off switch. With the keep warm switch ON, your dish will automatically keep warm after the cooker finishes cooking. Accessories include steam plate, inner pot lid, rice spatula, and measuring cup.
Cooked has four distinct modes. Braise mode which is ideal for lightly frying food. Steam Mode which is made possible by the outer pot that you can fill with water. You can also use this pot feature for cooking rice as well.
The fourth mode is the stew mode. The stew mode is great for preparing soups and stew during cold weather months.
This must be the best kitchen appliance that I’ve ever purchased. I hesitate to even call it a rice cooker, as I make almost every meal with it these days. Steams both long and short grain brown rice to perfection each time using the measuring instructions included in the user manual.
Cooks quinoa, oatmeal, whole oats, frozen foods, etc. with ease. Frozen gnocchi comes out ten times better than from the microwave, as it cooks food with steam. My only complaint is actually more of a convenience issue: After cooking rice, I would usually set aside the inner rice pot covered with the inner lid and then cook meats and vegetables in the outer pot.
Since the outer pot is actually the body of the rice cooker, it must be wiped clean using a cloth or sponge, not cleaned under running water from the sink. I looked into getting the optional steamer trays, but as other reviews have mentioned, they do not work with the supplied inner pot since it’s too tall.
Other foods also do not cook at the same speed as rice, so it’s better to cook them after the rice has finished. Rather than getting the steamer trays, I called Tatung and ordered a second stainless steel inner pot.
Unlike some other brands, Tatung sells these for a reasonable price (not marked up to half the price of the cooker as I’ve seen elsewhere). Now I cook rice in the first inner pot, cover it with the inner lid, and cook meats & vegetables in the second inner pot, either with or without the steamer insert (it fits into the inner pot as well as the outer pot).
This makes cleaning up the outer pot a breeze, just boil some vinegar and water whenever the mineral buildup gets heavy! It’s so easy to clean the inner pots in the sink, almost every kind of food comes right off either right away or with a little soaking.
So, this rice cooker has seriously changed my life! I feel that I’m eating more nutritious food, no worries over aluminum leaching into my meals, and it really doesn’t take much longer than the microwave.
I highly recommend this model to anyone looking for a new rice cooker, it costs a little more for the extra stainless steel than the models with the aluminum outer pot, but looks great in the kitchen and provides peace of mind that there’s no aluminum contamination.
Wish I had bought this years ago and saved myself the effort of cleaning up after my previous rice cooker!.
We have used several different brands of rice cooker in the past, but Tatung Rice Cooker is still the best product among them. We just bought this not long ago; therefore I am not sure how long it will last.
However, Tatung Rice Cooker from taiwan has a good reputation in the past several decades, I will trust its quality and durability.
Functionally it worked well, it cooked rice as I expected and the water did not overflow out of the pot; but the bottom surface of the outer pot rusted out. I paid high price for the stainless material and was disappointed.
Also the large sticker(for instruction) on the out side of the cooker was hard to remove which made the cooker was not as shinny as it could be.
Now you can make a variety of delicacies in minutes with the Premium Levella 16-cup rice cooker and take the multi-tasking out of your meal. This practical little appliance beautifully prepares any type of rice.
With a simple one-touch operation, you can turn it on. When cooking is over, the automatic rice cooker switches to the keep-warm mode so that your food is ready to be served anytime.
I always had trouble getting rice to cook right on the stove. A friend recommended to me how simple a rice cooker makes getting perfect rice. This cooker only cost me $20 dollars and it works very well.
It also had a measuring cup for the dry rice and a dishwasher safe plastic spoon for stirring. It doesn’t get any better!.
Cuisinart Crc-400 The Cuisinart Crc-400 4-cup rice cooker features a high-quality stainless-steel steaming basket inside and a nonstick cooking bowl that produces up to 4 cups of rice. The cooker also steams vegetables and thin cuts of meat, creating a complete, fat-free meal with little effort.
Besides various types of rice, the cooker cooks couscous, polenta, oatmeal, boiled eggs, shrimp, and much more.
We had been using an Instant Pot to cook rice (and other things). When we saw this Cuisinart model at my daughter’s house, we were amazed at how much faster it cooks rice. That speed can cause boilovers to occur.
Reading the comments, I see that using the steamer solves that issue. However, my daughter also gave me a neat hack — if you spray Pam in the pot, the rice will not boil over. So, this has become our rice cooker without no boilover issue.
In addition to being faster than an IP, it’s also much more compact and cleans up easier. I also love the steamer and just used it to cook siu mai.
Does not cook rice properly. It’s uneven and raw. I tried many ways to cook it. It’s a beautiful rice cooker. But I don’t know if it is poorly made or it is just defective. I returned it, I will not be buying an oil there Cuisinart rice cooker.
Best buy’s services are great for returns and repairs. It’s the product this time. I gave it enough chances but it was not meant to be. I’m going with a different brand.
Hands down best rice cooker for a smaller family or single person. I have had mine for probably 10 years, use it at least once or twice a week every single week and it’s still going strong! The nonstick pot inserts into the heating element and removes for easy cleaning in the dishwasher.
Makes truly perfect rice every time. Couldn’t live without this thing and I will repurchase this exact same one if mine ever does give up the ghost.
Making a complete and balanced meal in the Hamilton Beach Rice Cooker and Steamer is as easy as placing the ingredients in the bowl and turning it on. Not only does it cook rice and whole grains perfectly, but an integrated basket can be used to steam seafood, poultry and vegetables even while the rice cooks below.
The 2-in-1 steamer basket can also be used to rinse grains before cooking, which prevents clumping and results in a fresher taste. Clean up is a snap with the dishwasher safe nonstick cooking pot. Its compact size makes for easy storage.
Cooking healthy, delicious meals doesn’t get any simpler than that.
I never have used a rice cooker, so I was excited to receive item. When I opened the box I liked the coloring & size of cooker but d/n expect steamer basket to be made of plastic; durability over time? I tried the following items; Cream of Wheat, Basmati Rice, Yellow Squash, & Chicken Tenders.
Followed the directions in Manual (Cereal Setting confusing) for all items. 1) Cream of Wheat came out sticky, I even stopped 1/2 through as getting for thick, sticky, & sticking to pot, a lot got wasted sticking to pot, 2) Basmati Rice came out very sticky in a big clump (not able to serve on a plate with Butter Chicken over it) would be better for a sushi rice and/or if you like the sticky rice (jasmine) & hard to get out of pot as pot spins as you try to reach in w/spoon included & get rice out, 3) Yellow Squash came out very nicely but for a family of 5 had to make 3 batches as steamer basket too small, 4) Chicken Tenders (w/slight flour coating), although cooked (white inside) came out slimy & tough inside, not appetizing to eat, might be alright if you didn’t put on a coating? So sadly, the Hamilton Beach Rice Cooker & Steamer is not for my family even though I liked the idea of a healthy alternative to frying.
As a suggestion, I keep the measuring cup & steamer basket in unit when not using as don’t want to lose included measuring cup. But spoon d/n fit into unit. Maybe a hanger on the side of unit for spoon to store when not in use and keep everything together.
This attractive and well made electric rice/grain cooker and steamer is, as expected from Hamilton Beach, a beautifully designed and functional appliance. I have been a carnivore my whole life; but am now at the age of ? wisdom/fear? (LOL!) that I am trying to incorporate ‘heart-health ‘ grains into my diet.
I have had a very difficult time getting it right w/ this cooker, due largely to the limited, unclear instructions. For example, it wasn’t clear whether to cook steel-cut oatmeal as rolled oats (‘classic oatmeal’) or whole grains- my bad,,, using the whole grain setting, contents boiled over.
what a mess; then found that there was no instruction in the manual on how to disassemble the cover for cleaning. I did figure it out, but so far this has been an exhausting adventure. My package did not include either recipes or the rice paddle, as described.
It would help me to know what water temperature is associated w/ each setting. Since I knew the temperature of boiling water/steam, I was able to successfully cook frozen ravioli using the steam setting; but without knowing the temperature of the other settings, it is impossible to select the proper pre-set for non-listed grains and cereals, such as the steel-cut oatmeal.
I plan to continue to experiment w/ this perfect- size- for- a -single- person cooker; and sincerely hope Hamilton Beach will improve the instruction manual.
Love love love this rice cooker. It cooks four cups uncooked rice at a time. Stayed soft but not mushy and it didn’t overflow. Easy to clean. Doesn’t take up a lot of counter space with its compact size.
Rice cooker, 1000 watt, 1,5 litre Rice is a great addition to dishes as well as the basis for many dishes. Best of all when it is perfectly cooked – not too soft, but not too hard. In addition to the cooking AD6406 have the ability to maintain heat – which is especially useful when a dish have to wait a little while longer.
You only need two things to prepare rice; electricity and a good recipe!.

Healthy cooking and sleek modern design meld in this rice cooker from Cuisinart. Finished in a handsome brushed stainless steel, the square cooker features rounded corners, chrome-plated handles, and a glass lid with a stainless rim, chrome knob, and steam vent hole.
Inside you’ll find a high-quality, stainless-steel steaming basket and a nonstick cooking bowl that produces 8 to 15 cups of rice. The cooker also steams vegetables and thin cuts of meat, creating a complete, fat-free meal with little effort.
Besides various types of rice, the cooker cooks couscous, polenta, oatmeal, boiled eggs, shrimp, and much more. An included booklet presents gourmet recipes for such mouth-watering meals as Creamy Parmesan Risotto with Asparagus, and Teriyaki Steamed Chicken with Cranberry Wild Rice.
Cuisinart gives this upscale rice cooker extra panache with a cord that pulls out and then retracts for storage. One lever is all that’s required to flip the machine on. Two different colored LED lights illuminate, one during the cooking phase, and the other when the machine automatically switches to warm when cooking is done.
Included with the machine are a textured plastic paddle for stirring and serving, and a plastic measuring cup calibrated specifically for rice. All the unit’s removable parts are dishwasher-safe.
I decided to buy a rice cooker after tiring of the messy boilover. Since I only buy Cuisinart this brand was a no brainer. However, my initial experience was a disaster, messy boilover all over the rice cooker.
I read the reviews for a solution. One individual shared with the readers this remedy. Use the steamer with the handle facing upward to eliminate boilovers. It worked! Nonetheless, I thought using the steamer every time I cook rice was unnecessary and sought another remedy.
I started to search the web and using the advice of a professional cook, soaked the rice for half an hour before cooking. This method did not work! A complete waste of time, more boilover! By this time I was sorely displeased with this rice cooker and had considered returning it.
Then I got an epitome! I read the cooking directions on the rice package. The directions listed butter or vegetable oil in the cooking directions. I use 2 tablespoons of corn oil, and I have no more messy boilover and cleanup.
I now enjoy cooking rice with my Cuisinart Rice Cooker. The steamer, which is included with the cooker I purchased, gives vegetables a vibrate and rich, colorful appearance while appeasing my palate.
I have had one of these for years and overall its lasted well. I find that for some reason it often “boils over:” while cooking and leaves a lot of mess that can be an absolute pain to clean up. the price point was decent so overall I have been pleased but I find at times it does either under or over cook some rices, especially wild or nutty rices.
But for basic white, jasmine or the like it does get the job done.
Love this rice cooker. I have purchased the same one 2x in 10 year I love it so much. The first one didn’t break but the non-stick container “chipped” after cleaning it in the dishwasher. I recommend to hand wash it.
The steamer basket is great feature to add vegies you might want to steam while the rice is cooking. The rice ( I use mostly jasmine or basmati rice ) is cooked to perfection ! Worth every Penny !.
Cooking rice on the stove can be a real grain in the butt. Make making dinner easier (and tastier) with the Pars Persian 7-Cup Rice Cooker. This easy-to-use rice maker features a built-in timer, automatic safety shutoff, and a keep warm function.
Its inner container is also made of non-stick teflon with measuring marks, to make adding water as stress-free as can be. The removable cord makes for simple cleanup and storage. If you’re new to the rice rodeo that is using a rice maker, this kitchen companion also includes a manual and recipe book.
Make rice the right way- and the easy way, with the Pars Persian 7-Cup Rice Cooker.
This 10 cups Pars rice cooker cooked my rice just exactly as I expected. I purchased it from an American supplier via ebay. It is well made and easy to use. However, it operates on 120V/60HZ voltage supply and I have had to buy an expensive and bulky 2000W step down transformer converter, to convert the UK 240V/50HZ power supply down to 120V/60HZ voltage.
The reason why the transformer has such high power, is because the rice cooker needs 700W of power to cook the rice and the rice cooker’s power rating must be well above the rice cooker’s power needs, otherwise it would burn out quickly.
This is the only difficulty or criticism I have about this rice cooker, otherwise it cooked the rice perfectly. It is made in China, which makes it for the Asian and American markets, where the power supplies are 110/120V-60HZ.
I would recommend this rice cooker to anyone, but it is a personal choice due to the voltage issue.

Automatic keep warm function Keeps food warm after the cooking process has completed.
Noticeable improvement compared to old rice cooker. As someone that makes rice twice a week this is definitely worth it. The texture quality of the rice is noticeable, and all grains are cooked perfectly and uniform.
My previous rice cooker some grains would be dryer than others and you could tell which parts of the rice were cooked better. For this rice cooker all if it is in great quality. When it comes to the negatives this rice cooker does take around an hour (35 minutes on quick, but still much better than my previous rice cooker which took 20 minutes) to cook.
You also have to clean more parts. However you can cook the rice and leave it on warm for up to 12 hours, and you can use and extended warming that lasts much longer. This allowed us to eat the rice in great condition without having to heat it up on a microwave the next day.
Also the water to rice measurement is very forgiving, for my previous rice cooker if the water was just slightly above or below the correct amount it would be noticeable dry or soggy. In the end I would highly recommend this to anyone that cooks rice at least once a week for a family or twice a week for one or two people.
I have run a Japanese cooking meetup group in San Francisco for over 5 years. Although we often cook rice in a donabe, I always have trusted my Zojirushi rice cooker for sushi rice. Recently I upgraded my rice cooker to the 10 cup induction version.
I’ve only used it once so far, but it did great and I expect it to be amazing. The build quality is wonderful. I got it for large amounts of rice, so I don’t know yet how it will cook one or two cups of rice.
It’s noteworthy that if you think that this is the most amazing rice cooker on the market, that’s not quite accurate. This is the top of the line American sold rice cooker, but Zojirushi has Japanese versions that pass the $1,000 range (see https://www.
zojirushi-direct. com/item_list. html?siborikomi_clear=1&keyword=NWLB&?nwlb-top-mv). For me, this was sufficient.
This might be my favorite kitchen appliance. Has steel cut oats ready for me every morning with the time feature, perfect steamed rice and a whole host of mixed meat and rice dishes from Arabic maqluba to Thai Khao Mom Gai (Chicken and rice).
I did have an issue and, as it was under the warrantee, Zojurishi fixed and cleaned my machine covering all postage and costs. I do have a question: How can I use this to pressure cook tough meat for a stew or something like that without rice or grains? What setting would I use to get it to pressure? I would love this to totally replace my Instant-pot as the Zojurushi IH sits pride of place on my countertop and I have to fetch the Instantpot from the garage when I make stews or stocks.

I’m perfectly happy with it, just not 100% sure i needed it! Starting to think I wasn’t that bad at cooking rice in a pan in the first place as I wouldn’t say I’ve been wowed by the results, but I still use it and am determined to crack it! Basically I think i still need to play around with the exact amount of water (and that kind of defeats the purpose maybe as I can do that in a pan too?) but it’s really convenient to just switch on and leave, and the rice is perfectly fine to eat.
What i really like though is that its great to steam veg in! No more balancing colanders over boiling pans – this works great for broccoli, green beans etc and is really quick and easy. So for the money def buy it, I just haven’t yet had that ‘wow, rice cookers are amazing’ feeling that I read a lot about before buying.
Simple but does exactly what we need. I was worried that it wouldn’t be able to do small portions, but it cooks two cups of rice just perfectly. I haven’t tried to do just one cup. Top tips for use: 1) If it bubbles and makes a mess, then you haven’t washed the rice well enough.
It’s the starch on the rice that makes the bubbles. 2) Aside from that, it’s all about the ratio of rice to water. Different rices will need different ratios, you may require some trial-and-error. 3) Sometimes the rice gets better better after you’ve given it a stir and let it sit in “keep warm” mode for a few minutes.
Hi, I’ve been using rice cookers all my life and this one by Russell Hobbs really stands out from the rest, simply because most other rice cookers do not have an on or off switch. On this Russell Hobbs rice cooker, there is a little on/off switch that is just behind its left side when looking directly at it.
I know to most, this won’t make a difference, but I am always so annoyed that to switch off my rice cooker, I would have to constantly pull the plug out from the wall socket or the electrical gangway.
It is worse on the electrical multiple extension lead gangway because most of the time, it is not affixed to anything solid, meaning you must use two hands and if you are lucky enough to have a switch on the extension lead then switching off the gangway will mean switching off all the other electrical devices that are connected also, which is not an option.
The fact that you have a dedicated on/off switch on this rice cooker allows you to with one hand, very elegantly switch off the rice cooker when you are done. The steamer function in this also works a treat and I have now used this rice cooker to make a variety of grains, such as basmati rice, sushi rice, bulgar wheat and even quinoa.
All coming out perfectly! I have also steam vegetables such as broccoli, carrots etc. and again, coming out perfectly. May I recommend however, not to steam fish like salmon at the same time as cooking rice as the fat of the salmon will drip into the rice below while cooking making not the most pleasant of tasting accompaniment.
Overall, a perfect machine, well priced and I look forwards to using this for a long time to come yet.
When it comes to choosing a rice cooker, one of the most important factors to consider is the material of the inner pot. Stainless steel is one of the most popular materials for rice cookers, as it is durable and easy to clean.
Stainless steel inner pots also tend to distribute heat more evenly, which results in better-cooked rice.
One downside of stainless steel inner pots is that they can be more expensive than other materials. Additionally, some people find that they don’t conduct heat as well as other materials, such as aluminum.
If you’re looking for a durable and easy-to-clean rice cooker, then a stainless steel model is a great option. Just be aware that they may cost a bit more than other types of rice cookers.
