I can’t understand how stupid people have to be for it not to work. If you follow the few simple steps that you have to say it is absolutely awesome how it works. – Fully charge your iPhone, the download requires quite a bit of power – it works for iphone 8 and above.
That is clearly written! Of course, if someone tries with an iPhone 4 or 6, it won’t work – follow the instructions in the manual and it’s absolutely awesome I can download some specific folders or all of them, whatever I want.
You can view them with the flash drive (I used a 256GB) to view or transfer to your PC, laptop, or external storage device (2TB). I can only say it’s great how it works!.
My only real complaint is that it’s a little slow to download. My battery is small (iPhone SE) and already degraded somewhat so it took a couple days of downloading and recharging the battery. I now have over 3000 photos saved so I can relax a little.
The device itself is easy to use and nearly idiot proof. My only other concern is that it’s small. I would hate to lose it so remember where you put it!.
It was downloading and the cell phone rang. I had to take the call. It stopped downloading and now its frozen. Well, after much research, I found a site that gave suggestions as to how to fix my problem.
I now believe I have all my photos 17,00+ downloaded. My advice is to make sure your phone is fully charged before trying to download photos if you have many stored photos. Hopefully I will be able to download all my photos now to my computer.

This product is the best thing ever! Worked exactly as described. I had to back up over 8000 photos and 100 videos from an older computer before getting rid of it. The computer was running Windows XP and wasn’t compatible with anything new or able to update.
I plugged in the Picture Keeper (with fingers crossed), followed all the prompts and within 30 minutes had all my photos backed up and in the same file structure I had on my computer. It couldn’t have been easier! I was so pleased I bought another one to back up photos on my newer computer as well as purchasing the Picture Keeper Connect to back up the photos directly from my phone.
I bought the 8gb picture keeper on sale. It saved me so much time! I had hoped it would get all of my pictures, but it did not. I almost ordered another one, but it was not on sale and I had some flashdrives that were unused, so I began using them.
I used them, but still need more. Anyway, when I used the picture keeper, I failed to tell it to do videos with the pictures. So, using a regular flashdrive, I had to go through all those photos and find the videos to put on the flashdrive.
It would have saved me a lot of time to just buy more picture keepers! Since they automatically don’t do copies, that is SO awesome! As I was looking through folders in my computer, I was amazed by how many copies I had.
and if I had had to go through and click these, oh my goodness, so much time! Time is precious. If you have the money, buy this. it saves time and time is money. time is precious. Do it the quick and easy way.
buy picture keepers! The only reason why it’s not 5 star. it’s not so easy to get this much money sometimes to buy a product.
I have been thinking about trying Picture Keeper for some time and decided to purchase it since it was such a great price. I had no clue how many photos I had between my computer and an external harddrive.
It was really easy to use, but unfortunately, I had enough photos that I needed to purchase Picture Keeper Pro. It was very easy to use and it was also a very good price. Nothing negative, only I think that I have a few duplicates, probably under a different tag, that was backed up.
I am thinking about buying maybe another Picture Keeper Pro for music, but I need to investigate that a little more, before purchasing.

It was with some trepidation that I ordered a Picture Keeper. I’ve seen similar products advertised but there’s always something hidden in the fine print. Like you have to subscribe to some app to store and view your photos.
or you have to be a computer geek to get the item to work. WIth Picture Keeper, it took less than 60 seconds to download (for free) their app on my iphone. I then just plugged the Picture Keeper into my phone and set it aside for maybe 30 minutes.
When I returned, approx 2500 photos had been saved from my phone to the Picture Keeper. I then plugged the stick into a USB port on my computer to insure the photos were there and sure enough, there were all 2500+ photos and my contact list, which I could open and view.
I now have a phone with a lot of free space and my pictures are safe in the event something untoward happens to the phone.
Tony Manson is such a wonderful person – I had all sorts of problems in trying to figure out how to use the picture keeper and he stuck with me; was very professional and showed me exactly how to work it.
On a private note, I had a recording (which I was calling a video) of my Mom singing me Happy Birthday. Mami passed away 8 years ago so it was very important that I would have the recording saved. After my computer popping and turning off, we were able to get everything i needed.
Mr. Manson is a very nice gentleman, very professional and an asset to your company. Thanks for having him around. Best regards.
Ordered the large one ( for a Samsung Galaxy phone ) despite the poor reviews hoping this would solve my hundreds of photos hanging on my phone. Nice simple brochure. Apparently one folder uploaded but after that only error messages despite having 128g storage.
No FAQ or CS could assist. Wrapped it up to go back that night. Not worth $100 bucks, that any flash drive can do. Beware of the cheap dongle they supply for C rather than manufacture a new drive. The whole setup favors an I Phone.
Read the reviews. They’re right. Don’t waste your time or money.

I’ve purchased 4 of the units over time and they’re great! The company is very responsive, too. One time I received one unit that I had ordered but in a different package on the same day I received an order addressed to me on the envelope but the receipt inside was for a different customer.
I notified the company and the immediately sent me an envelope in which to return the other customer’s unit. Just tonight (Christmas night, believe it or not), I recommended Picture Keeper to my daughter.
I plan to order one for her when the Christmas postal rush is over so she can put our family Christmas photo on it. Nice memories from an otherwise crappy year. 🙂.
It doesn’t hold 8G worth of pictures. It holds 8G of files. I don’t know how many files are in a picture. I didn’t think I had more than 8G worth of pictures in my computer but the box on screen said something like 25G more to go.
Then “put in another drive to pick up where it left off”. I don’t know if that meant any storage drive or another Picture Keeper. I purchased this product so I wouldn’t have to figure out file size and remove pictures from the computer to free up storage space on a storage drive.
Once the Picture Keeper was full, I didn’t know how to delete files and start over so I didn’t. I purchased this product so I would not have to do all this work. If I were smart enough to know exactly how to store pictures on a portable drive, and willing to do the work, I would get my own portable storage drive and do it myself.
I’ll get two 16GB Picture Keepers next and will see what happens. I would recommend this product if you are computer savvy and have a low amount of pictures on your computer (I don’t know how much a low amount is).

SanDisk 16GB Ultra Flair USB 3. 0 Flash DriveThe flash drives are great. I purchased 2 one loaded with a portable operating system Ubuntu Desktop and the second my Windows 10 installer. The performance of Ubuntu running from the flash drive in a USB 3.
0 port is great, even with USB 2. 0 I can perform all the tasks I need perfectly fine. Installing Windows 10 is a breeze, especially when built on an SSD drive the whole process is significantly faster.
Both are kept on my lanyard as they have decent size loop for attachment. Theyre also a slim profile avoiding issues where theres limited space on busy USB ports on desktops and hubs. The build quality is good, they come in different colours, theyre FAST, well priced and reliable.
I did have one concern though initially the body is most part made from metal and when is heavy use they get extremely hot. That hot its difficult to handle and a bit of a shock if you forget the temperature and eject them from the machine by the metal surfaces.
I have used the Ubuntu disk for extended sessions of 8 hours Ive never noticed a decline in performance or any disfigurement of the drive itself. I have had drives that get hot before not to this level but theyre usually housed in a plastic shell.
I can only assume that a. its a design flaw b. its an integral part of the design to disperse the heat generated. Ive been using these for a couple of months now, so its not something I worry about but just be aware that they get rather hot.
Ive run some performance tests which you can view in the attached video, and theyre detailed below for both USB 3. 0 USB 2. 0Tests USB Deview, a small utility for managing USB devices with a feature to execute speed test for both read write.
Transferring a 546mb MP4 file from my SSD machine to the flash disk, then transferring the same file back to the desktop. Ive recorded the time for these tasks to complete. Here are the performance benchmark resultsUSB 3.

78 secondsI recently upgraded my PC with a 4port 5Gbps PCI Express expansion card. This was easy to install, it doesnt require additional power and has provided me with a solid set of 4 additional USB 3.
0 ports. I tested it to see if it would power some of my more power hungry devices which was flawless. This is impressive considering the PCI card did not require and additional power from the PSU. These ports were used during testing too.
Ideapro 4Port PCIE to USB 3. 0 PCI Express Expansion Card.
It’s an instantly recognisable brand we all know, I have loaded it into my Nikon D3200 and so far it seems to do the job! I can’t tell if the card will hold up long term, but I will write another review in a month or so! The image seems to be clear and bright and I can’t see any aberrations or loss in picture quality.
So until next time I leave you with my summation, ” a genuine product at a really good price and does exactly what it says on the box” I am back again from my first impressions of this 16gb Sandisk SDHC memory card.
I have had it for about 6 months and have not used it excessively, but it started to go on the fritz a little while ago. I’d put it in and my camera would not accept it as viable, suggesting to remove it and use one that was functioning! I got fed up with this in the end, and I haven’t used it (tried to use it) for months now.
So draw your own conclusions, “just one of those things, or a question of you getting what you paid for?.
As absolute waste of a drive. Writing small or large files the thing barely creeps above a 2mbps write speed. Taking well over 2 hours to write a single 30gb file to this hideously slow drive is torture.
I ended up splitting my files into multiple. rar files and using rewritable dvds to transfer my data as it was significantly faster. Windows or Linux, it doesnt matter. I disabled write caching on windows and on Linux to no improvement.
This drive is just abominably slow when writing and to top it off, the metal construction and thin connections mean this drive gets very hot very quickly. Yet another flop from sandisk and a my final straw reached with them.
Having every single sandisk drive I have ever owned 12 of them either fail, break or have poor performance I have finally given up on them as a company.

I have the 128gb version. I assume all the other capacity versions have the same issues. As a way to expand the capacity of a basic 32GB ipad this would seem like an ideal solution. However, a few issues severely limit its utility: 1) The app is extremely basic.
The drive can only be used with the app. It does annoying things like try to backup all photos etc without a means to stop, other than killing the app. The ability to use the ixpand like the way you use the iphone/ipad ‘Files’ app is not clear nor reliable (in my experience) 2) More annoying, the drive disconnects extremely easily.
Not physically – it is appears plugged in, but then the app loses connection to the drive, at the slightest touch. So this is very annoying if you are transferring a large file, or if you are using the camera feature (recording directly from camera to the ixpand drive).
Usually, I have to kill the app, unplug the ixpand and then re-insert.
I had my 17yo daughter using this to clean off her phone before spring break. She couldn’t find it after her final transfer. Thought all 15GB of photos and videos were lost. I found in the front yard after 3 straight days of steady rain.
We tossed it into a sandwich bag filled with white rice and let it sit until we got back a week later. I was so surprised when I connected it and the disk mounted like normal. I couldn’t believe. I’ve already had this for several year and it was well worth the cost.
Only trouble I have had is recently the disk doesn’t seem to know when files get deleted. it will say it’s empty but have no free space available. Whenever I notice it, I just reformat and get all the capacity back.
I have the 32, but will replace with the 64GB if I ever need another.
I bought one of the 64GB models from target in-store. Not a full year after purchase, it just died. I began having problems where it would not be recognized on my computer but usually was usable after plugging and unplugging a few times.
Same thing on the iPhone app. This got worse and worse until ultimately it was completely unusable and all data was lost. Luckily I backed it up bimonthly but all files That had not been backed up were lost.
I tried extracting the SD card labeled “Ultra”, and it’s shady filesystem was not recognized on windows or Linux and it was not even able to be formatted and repurposed, though it probably was only as reliable as the drive itself despite being a SanDisk “Ultra” product.
I bought another, same capacity but the “flip” model which has a silicone keychain ring. Not a week later, exact same problem. This whole fiasco costed me around $100 and many lost files. Also, (from what I could tell in the short period it actually worked), the User Interface iPhone app could definitely use some work.
I even called customer service and after 30 minutes of being on hold, I was told that I had to go purchase some 3rd party rescue software for around $50-500 dollars! I would have tried to use the whole warranty option but I picked the drive up on a grocery run at target and I wasn’t expecting to need it in under a week.
Thanks, Sandisk and WD.

Thanks for having the option to export pics. But the software is really bad. It renames all the pictures with its own extension ‘~picture’, ‘~video’. There is not sort order by images properties like data modified.
Instead were given a crappy way of sorting the pictures copied on date, which is not useful.
I’ve owned this product for over a year now and I use it almost everyday, it took a little to figure it all out but now I’m a pro! I love the features that it provides and the security is amazing! All in all it’s a very decent product.
I have highly recommend this to many folks.

The photostick 2. 0 doesn’t work. I’m trying to move my 27k photos to the photostick and delete the 8k duplicates. That should be easily done on a 128 GB stick. But in the scan, it reported 139k files and 205 GB.
Don’t know what it is looking at , but clearly more than the photos I directed the stick to scan. Customer service was a tail chase routine, very time consuming. I am working toward a refund.
Love it!! I had 2,500 photos on my iPhone and doubles. The stick in less than 3 minutes downloaded and deleted doubles. Now my phone is freed up and 2,000 originals are on the stick😃. Great gift idea for Christmas 🎄 Thanks also for the support of staff in answering emails so quickly.

Reviews From Real Customers
Well, this is a real ‘gadget-man’ USB stick – I’m not entirely clear on what I wanted this for, other than I got it quite cheap, so even as JUST a 32GB USB stick it was good value. First off, I wanted it to extend storage on my daughter’s iPhone – the idea was to move some data off onto the stick.
It has proved pretty successful though, at wirelessly moving data from a PC to various phones for a variety of reasons. I experimented with streaming a movie from the stick to my phone, and it did that really well over some considerable distance.
It turns off after some inactivity, so you couldn’t realistically use it as some sort of mini-NAS, there is the option of having a password, I opted to turn this off as there is nothing sensitive stored on it, and you have to have the app to access it anyway, so it’s not like everyone can just log into it (unless they are close to you and have the same app).
I think these were being sold off fairly cheap when I bought mine, and 32GB represented good value, but if you can get a 64GB version, so much the better. Note that you ‘log’ into it on your device by treating it as if it is a Wi-Fi network, so initially you are disconnected from the internet – there ARE ways to subsequently get your USB stick to log into your normal Wi-Fi so that you alsoget internet access.
This process seems a bit hit & miss, but maybe with practice, you would find a sequence that would work for you (I think it’s different for Apple/Android devices). Overall, because I got it relatively cheaply, I think I basically have a 32GB stick with really useful ‘extras’.
It’s main use in our house has been easily moving files onto an Apple device from a Windows PC. (plug in to PC, transfer files to USB stick – remove USB stick, switch on wi-fi accessibility, log in with iPhone and transfer files to iPhone.
). The battery seems to last for ages, simply recharge whilst plugged into your PC – you can’t access it’s wi-fi when it is plugged in.
Nice design, subtle LED light. I like that. What I don’t like (like is a gross understatement here) is the fact that one cannot use it’s wireless capabilities when the USB side is plugged in. I mean why?! And I don’t need to read any bs excuse about data corruption protection.
I’m amazed how my data’s protection is everybody else’s problem these days. I purchased 2 of these devices for one purpose: Plug this usb in my TV and play the pictures in a slideshow. As I take more pictures with my phone, I was looking for a more convenient way of transferring the new pics to to the USB stick, than to keep re-plugin the USB in my PC and then transfer the photos over from my phone to the PC then to the USB and then re plug the USB in the TV.
So y’all can imagine my frustration when I found out that you must unplug the damn thing just to access it via WIFI. This is like the biggest wasted opportunity since the Wireless SD cards that were for some reason made obsolete by the manufacturers.
The ONLY REASON this is not a 1 star review is because it is a decent 16GB USB stick for 10. But my god talk about wasteful and pedantic. Just WHY?! And again, I don’t care about the whole idea of “putting my media on it so I can stream it later”.
Phones have 128GB of memory these days. A 16GBstick is NOT going to do anything for your “media streaming”. Just wasteful.
Neat concept and works as its designed to do – a WiFi enabled, battery operated small storage device. Reasonably straightforward to setup as an ad-hoc WiFi device to connect clients directly to it, or connect to your WiFi router and have clients connect across your home network.
The disk access speed is a bit on the slow side. I purchased this to use as a small, cheap, lower power solution to store my music for playback via my Sonos system as they are discontinuing the play “On this iPhone” feature.
However, whilst I could map a Windows drive directly to it as I found out it won’t work as a music server for Sonos because it doesn’t support samba/cifs access 🙁 So I have a nice little dongle looking for a new use!.

Product did not hold my device (which was a lumee case). The Bluetooth did not connect/stay on. The retractable extension of the stick was difficult to use. I wouldn’t recommend this specific device for purchase.
Which is odd because I love my Lumee case. I assumed the photo stick would be equally good in design and easy to use. And at least have the Bluetooth well established.

This is a great device to backup pictures and videos on the go! There have been many times when I couldn’t take a photo because my storage was full. This ixpand mini is quick and easy. You can transfer a few photos or all of them at one time! I am so glad I finally made this purchase! There are a couple of cons.
I wish I had purchased the other model. When I saw mini in the title, I thought it would be less obtrusive. I was wrong. I still like it despite the fact that it protrudes a lot. The other con, and I’ve only attempted this once, I tried to transfer all of my photos, and it didn’t look like they all transferred.
So, before you delete your photos after transferring, I would double check that they all transferred. Again, I haven’t played around with it a lot since the purchase. All in all, I love it!.
I lost the tiny, isty teeny cap within minutes! Why not make the cap larger so it would not disappears so easily? The device is already VERY small, why make the cap so tiny! No reason not to make it a little longer.
2 people who recommended this device also lost the cap the first day they had it. If the cap was intended to be attached permanently I understand. But since it’s (BADLY) designed to be removed and reattached wouldn’t you ensure it would NOT be lost? REDICULOUS! My solution? I found a little plastic bag to keep it in.
It’s such a shame having such a fine device only to have it partially disappear because of some stupid design decision.

Brilliant drive. Superior to the SanDisk Ultra Fit in terms of build quality, read and write speed. Really, all one could ask from a drive. Stated 256GB capacity but of course, that isn’t what you get to use but when using APFS on a Mac, I get over 99% of its rated capacity.
A touch bigger than the SanDisk Ultra Fit which may be a problem with computers that have two USB slots next to each-other. Yes, these are more expensive than the SanDisk Ultra Fit but they are faster.
I can’t speak of long term use as, at the time of writing, I have only had the drive for a day but so far, it has fully met my expectations. One another note, there are many, many fake pen drives on eBay (and other sites for that matter) but it this is a fake, its a very, very good one.
One can usually tell by false capacity reading or extremely slow read/write speed. This one seems to be the real deal and if so, it was a good deal from CCL Computers.
Always bought Kingston Usb memory sticks but had a batch that would only last a month and then not open again. Asked google for the most reliable usb sicks and this came up. Its very fast in downloading new information.
I bought 128gb as I wanted to get rid of old (Kingston) and put all files on one. The size is wide but small even when using another stick next to it. Works well with my Macbook. Not found anything bad about it yet.
I tested over 20 different USB key to install linux on them. For a french Web page with the tests results look for “bernard gisin cl usb pour installer Linux”. For a video in french on how to install Linux on USB key, look for : “bernard gisin cl usb” I installed Linux on USB key more than one hundred times and use them with my students to teach computer science.
The bests keys are from SanDisk and this one from Samsung. I boot on these keys on USB 3, faster than on a hard disk. Then I notice no difference with a hard disk. To use them only to store data, I don’t know if the price difference between a normal key is valuable.
Another advantage is the small size. When plugged, I don’t hit them by error. If the price is not important, this USB key is a good choice. Bernard Gisin.

Reviews From Real Customers
I have been an avid SanDisk drive fan, whether it be SSD, compact flash, SD, or their older USB drives. However, over the past few years, I have found their USB drives lacking, and getting worse. Previously, I purchased some USB 2.
0 Cruzer Glide drives, and found them painfully slow when writing compared to others I had from other companies. This week, I wanted to give them another try by buying the newer USB 3. 0 Ultra SBCZ48032G and 128G the price was very attractive when on sale.
Bottom line, I am returning the Ultra drives. They are still too painfully slow to use. I bought USB 3. 0 drives and expect to get somewhere near that speed I do not expect USB 2. 0 flash drive speeds with a USB 3.
0 device. Comparing these drives to a PNY 128GB USB 3. 0 drive I purchased a few years ago, I did some testingbenchmarking. My tests were simple1 Use CrystalDiskMark 7. 0. 0f to benchmark the drives this is a commonly used tool.
2 Copy 15 files, 8. 62 GB total from a Corsair MP600 NVMe drive to selected USB Drives all using USB 3. 0 ports, and as a checkpoint, to my local NAS this latter to ensure the MP600 NVMe drive was not the bottleneck.
Summary see attached picture as well The PNY drive performed well and within what I expected regarding speed. It copied the files quickly, roughly 88 MBs consistently, taking approximately 1 minute, 41 seconds.
The Ultra128 ran the benchmarks OK, but when it came to real world usage, it fell on its face after what appears to be that its internal cache was filled it went from roughly 78 MBs down to about 12 MBs after a few seconds of copying.
It took approximately 3 minutes, 50 seconds to copy the same data to the Ultra128, more than twice the time required by the PNY. The Ultra32 ran the benchmarks fairly, but its internal cache appears to be smaller, and the 1GB benchmarks picked up on it.
Unfortunately, the drive died become read only and I could no longer test it. And for those tech savvy folks out there, yes I did try DiskPart and other tools to fix it. From untimed tests, the 32G drive performed slightly worse than the 128GB drive.
These benchmarkstests were performed with a home assembled machine Windows 10 Pro Asus TUF Gaming X570 WiFi motherboard AMD 3800X CPU Corsair MP600 NVMe 1TB Drive Corsair Vengeance memory, running at 3200MHz.
SanDisk, time to pick up your game, or someone else will come along and beat you at it. If your SD cards are now able to handle up to 170MBs write speeds, why can your USB flash drives not handle even half of that Yes, I know, comparing apples and oranges.
The SanDisk Ultra USB 3. 0 flash drive is exactly that, a 256GB flash drive in the basic portable format. I wouldnt call it rugged but the USB connector can be recessed into the housing to protect it.
This necessarily increases the size of the drive a bit, but useful for something that youd essentially toss into bags, sit on in your back pocket, and generally abuse the way keys get abused on a day to day basis.
Unlike keys which are typically made of metal and are both easy and cheap to copy, this drive is not so having builtin protection for this everyday device is nice to have. The 256GB capacity is nice.
In fact, its almost hilarious thinking just how not too long ago, having a 256GB spinning platter drive was amazing in itself and certainly not something youd casually toss in your bag when heading out the door.
Its an amazing amount of storage when you consider that typical drives in home computers are barely breaking 2TB. This means you have 25 to 100 or more of the typical storage available on an entire computer.
The great news this can serve as ad adhoc complete backup for most home applications as there is likely few files too large for this drive. The drive does come with some features softwarefirmware that puts it above a basic drive.
Namely backup software always a plus and a secure access vault pretty much encrypted storage for your files. This is the biggest selling point for me. Secure storage that covers a significant amount of my personal machine capacity thats easy to move around is awesome.
Generally, I dont access such files as often so it is nice to have them stored and not taking up space on my main machine. Because I have large files that need to be stored encrypted, accessing them across a couple different machines can be a pain due to the bandwidth requirements necessary to bridge machines via cloud storage, storage needs on the cloud, and then keeping encryption software synchronized on multiple machines.
This provides a onestop shop for such files. Now, to be clear, I still maintain yet another backup on my large network storage at home as due to the size and mobility, this drive is more likely to be lost.
SanDisks software also has its own cloud backup feature. It works, but then youre tied to SanDisks ecosystem. Normally, this results in me dropping a star in the rating, however, given that youre completely free to use your own, no harm no foul.
Overall, I like this device. It has a few extra features that I am not sure how they fit into my life but it is not required. I will discuss more below. UnboxingThe device is pretty simple. It has the USB drive, a voucher for the flashback software and a voucher for RescuePRO software.
Build qualityPretty good This is the 128 GB model. I went for this one since it has USB 3. 1 support for higher speeds. The device is extremely tiny and will be great if you leave it plugged into a laptop as it does not protrude too much.
The design has a curved indentation that is functional at the end, for one it provides a little extra grip to grab it when pulling it out, second it has a hole in it so you can connect it to a lanyard keychain.
PerformanceIt has plenty of storage space at 128 GB a little less available. I ran Crystal Disk benchmark on it and got read speeds of 134. 6 MBs read and 51. 7 MBa write. This speed is actually BETTER than what is advertised on the website 130 MBs.
In transferring a 3. 3 GB file I got between 130 140 MBs read and between 35 70 MBs write. It looks like it had a burst speed for the first third then slowed down to the lower speeds. FeaturesIt is mostly just a great performing small thumb drive But.
Sandisk tossed in a few goodies with it. First it has the usualSanDiskSecureAccess software. This is pretty basic software but it allows you to password secure files on the thumb drive that are encrypted and unrecoverable if your drive is lost.
Second, it comes with a new software called SanDisk Flashback. To use this, you will need to install the software on your PC Mac. It works very seamlessly and works similar to drop boxOneDriveetc. When you log into the website, you will see any photos and files on your home screen.
The interface is nice and seems to prioritize photos. There is a tab for devices which will let you see all of your drives that support the feature. Here is where it gets cool. If you uploaded a nonencrypted filed not in the vault software to the thumb drive, it will also upload a copy to Flashback which will allow you to download any files on your thumb drive cloud to any computer that you access the website from.
I have yet to fully integrate this into my work flow but I see a lot of potential for this. Similar to other cloud storage, you can also share links to your files. At first I asked myself why do I need this I have Dropbox and upload things to the cloud already.
The advantage of this drive appears to me that you can leave your drive in your laptop permanently expanding storage and always having a local version installed and no longer needing to bring it with me when needed.
I know Dropbox and other cloud drives can store local files but this one keeps the storage separate from the main drive. You also have the added ability to take the drive with you if you wish for faster transfers to computers that might not have download speeds needed for a file.
In short, it gives you options. SummaryProsConvenientCompactVery fastConsFeatures possibly redundantEasy to loseNo phone app as of yet, only PC and MacSome users will think this is redundant, especially since it costs a few bucks after the firstyear trial to be fair it is dirt cheap, my 128GB will cost 4.
99 a YEAR, not month when my trial is over. For others, you might be able to find some very good use out of this ability. I personally think it is slightly redundant, but it is also extremely convenient and allows me to separate certain types of files for a much cheaper price than cloud options.
For example, Google drive costs 19. 99 per YEAR, this device will only charge 4. 99 per YEAR for 128GB, you will save even more if you get a 256GB model. I cant really find any faults in this feature and in the thumb drive.
Used properly, you might be able to replace your cloud storage.

Well, I have 4 of these Ultra Dual Drives, they all look identical, three are 128 GB in size, and one is 64 GB. They all work ok, no issues with the sliding thingy’s but my use has been in a clean environment.
Problem are the 128 GB drives, They seems to have gone through a hardware revision. The new revision is slower than the old, The old drive peaks at 175 MB’sec in crystal diskmark, whilst the new drives peak at 134 MB’sec, they are overall much slower.
I bought this so I can access files on any of my device i. e. PC, tablet and Android phone and it does this well. You can slide it out an expose either male connector and plug it into the relevant socket on whatever device you have.
I found it works fine on Android (Samsung and Motorolla phones) it is readily detected and accessed, of course you still need the relevant software on your device but this hasn’t proved an issue for me.
It also works fine on the Windows 10 tablet and PC. The tablet also having the smaller USB socket. A few slight quibles. You notice it gets warm when left it, not hot but definately warm which I have not experienced on other USB drives.
It can be a bit fiddley to slide the end out. The casing on my previous one broke quite readily, the thing still worked well enough without a casing but hell it cost me 20 ! In work we have now switched on bitlocker so any USB’s have to be bitlocked and this stops it being used on Android or indeed any OS but windows, so two weeks after forking out 20 I stopped using it !!.

Great quality USB key! Really solid and well made. Works well and is super fast! It has a nice look and feel to it. Very easy to use; just plug it into any USB A port, either 3. 0, 2. 1 or 1. 0, although the speeds are obviously not as fast with the backward compatible ports.
Very good value for money. I would highly recommend this USB key.
Bought a USB3. 0 version of this back in 2018. You might think 3 years is OK, but I rarely used this device – perhaps only a few times a year. It’s recently stopped being detected at all by any PC. Of course this had to happen the day I had booked with an accountant and had tax files on the drive.
I did some research and bought this drive for it’s durability – hoping it would last 5+ years minimum. Looks like I’ll buy from another vendor next time. Also, how the heck can I claim warranty on this? I don’t HAVE a serial number? Why is your site designed in such a way that it makes it difficult to claim a warranty!?.

Not happy that it requires the app to work with iOS. Apple updated a long time ago to support external storage on a system level in iOS so you can plug in any external storage with a lightning connector and it’s instantly in the Files app that’s already on the phone by default.
The app is free, it offers things the standard files app doesn’t have like free offline backups without the need for a computer or paid iCloud upgrades, there’s built in security features even on top of standard iOS security, but to REQUIRE the app to use it? No.
I doubt android is locked out from using it without the app but I can’t confirm. Im not happy with this but im not returning it since it was on sale for a price I couldn’t refuse, and as of now it’s the only flash drive I can find with USB-C and Lightning on one unit.
Rant aside, it’s got an incredibly premium build, cap is tiny and super easy to drop off and lose but not a big deal, Always buy storage of any kind new in box from a known branded retailer like Best Buy, the lighter blue one with 2 self checkouts open but one is broken, or the red one with the circles for example (leaving out names to satisfy review guidelines).
Selling drives online 3rd party sites is the easiest fraud for scammers. They can modify the tiniest thing to force it to report higher storage than whats actually available. Sell you a 16gb Flash Drive but label it 256gb and when you plug it in it even shows in your computer as 256gb.
Getting photos off an iPhone and onto a desktop computer used to be fairly simple before everything was connected with wifi and Bluetooth. Connect a cord between the phone and device, then select and drop.
Sometimes it was mildly inconvenient because you could only drop one at a time, but the process was simple. Now the process has become wildly complicated. You can move pics to the cloud, if you want someone else to be manager of your photos, and you want to pay monthly for storage.
For the privacy and/or budget minded, you can move them to an external hard drive via and app, but it’s one more app to download on your phone, and you have to have the right login, because if you don’t, your access is sunk.
Not to mention, the up front cost of an external hard drive with ample storage usually isn’t cheap. As someone who had maxed out my photo capacity right before my kiddo’s graduation, and who didn’t want to upload photos to a cloud I’d have to pay for monthly, I spent an entire afternoon when I needed to be doing other stuff, and tried all of the above things.
I tried connecting my iPhone 12 to my husband’s Mac – crap! Wrong Apple ID. I tried connecting it to an old laptop. It kinda worked, but the laptop was so old it was wicked slow. I tried downloading the app and connecting it wirelessly to our external hard drive.
My husband couldn’t remember the password he set up. Skunked again. So I researched buying my own external hard drive so I’d have my own place to keep my own data. I especially looked for something I could connect directly to my iPhone with a cord instead of an app.
Most external solutions were pricey, and I only found one hard drive that said it could be plugged directly into an iPhone, independent of a computer. It was on the low end of pricey, but it only had about a dozen reviews and they felt sketchy.
Not a gamble I was willing to take. WHY was this so CoMpLiCaTeD?? Then I came across this little SanDisk photo stick. Other than still having to download an app to use it, the price was reasonable, it took two seconds to plug it into my iPhone, the controls were pretty straightforward, and my life was back to quick and simple.
Game changer. No more feeling overwhelming tech angst. Totally worth the money. And so portable that I can quickly move photos while riding somewhere in the car or sitting down to watch TV. And this thing has a TON of storage on it.
Which is good because I have close to 1500 photos after 2 years of phone use. A lot to move. But I do it in small bites of 100-150 photos, which probably takes me about 5-10 min each session. The only small drawbacks: I wish it let you choose your photos oldest to newest, instead of the other way around.
That means I have to scroll all the way to the end of 1000+ photos each time, and then start selecting. If there’s a setting to change that, I haven’t found it. But let’s face it: we’re most likely to show folks our photos from the last couple of weeks, not 2 years ago.
It’s the old ones we’re most likely to want to store. It’s small, so it’s easy to set down somewhere and misplace. I’ve done it several times. I was also concerned I’d leave it in a pocket and launder it.
I’ve done that to a tiny cell phone before. Ouch! So, I solved both of these challenges by putting this on a lanyard. The other connector on the adapter isn’t a standard USB, so I couldn’t connect it directly to the photo printing hardware at the store when I wanted to print photos.
I also can’t plug it directly into a computer’s USB to move photos off the stick. I think a standard USB would be a much better option. Now I’ll have to see if an adapter is available. That stinks. The warranty is short for the kind of item that usually works for years.
I’ve never had a memory stick go bad on me. Why is the warranty only a year or two? Is this built for failure and/or obsolescence? Probably. Will I have to find another avenue to store my photos in a few years? Sigh.
Probably. But I just bought myself some time. And it was comparatively cheap and worth the money to get things done now, when I needed it asap. Maybe by then a trusted brand will decide to make a hard drive with an option to run it directly from your phone.
A girl can hope.

I have purchased other useless backup drives that required Y-Disk, and this SanDisk by USA Western Digital is amazing. I just opened the package and plugged into my iPhone XS MAX. The SanDisk software automatically started and requested access to my photos and contacts.
I selected yes, If you don’t allow access upon first use, then you will see a blank screen of photos. Not allowing access, requires you to have to select photos before they will show up on the screen.
This lack of access issue appears to have resulted in some negative comments about the drive not working, Rather the drive is working, as the user has indicated that they want to select photos to be backed up.
So allowing access to all photos is the best to start with. The SanDisk software then shows tab buttons to backup contacts or photos. I selected contacts first and the backup of the contacts was performed in a very short amount of time.
I then selected the tab button to backup photos & videos. The backup progress was shown at the top of the iPhone screen, and has a tiny real-time display of the thumb nail pictures being backup at the time.
Very nice to see. I had about 128GByte of video & photos to be backed up. I also had a fairly low battery, so I removed the SanDisk drive from my iPhone during the backup. The SanDisk software requested that the drive be reinserted.
However, I charged the iPhone first. Upon re-inserting the SanDisk drive, the backup continued and completed with a notice of completion of how many files were backed up. I’m confident that for a low battery condition, a wireless charger will allow for simultaneous charging and backing up photos with using the plugin charger.
All was backed up within a couple of hours including charging my iPhone. This SanDisk by Western Digital is like a breath of fresh air from the other foreign brands that I tried,.
I usually am carrying over one thousand photos on my phone. I never thought about the memory space I was using until I saw this gadget. This Sandisk Expand Flash Drive Go holds 64 GB of data including photos, videos and contacts.
Videos especially eat up a lot of space on your phone. Using this product, I can take all the photos and videos that I want and then easily and quickly back them up on the iXpand Drive app which you can download from the App store.
It is very user friendly and works with a long list of models of iPhones and iPads. Just plug the flash drive into your phone and follow the prompts. You can have your photos and videos automatically upload to the iXpand drive or you can manually choose which you want to save on the drive.
You can use the USB connector that is on the flip end of the flash drive to move the photos onto a computer if you wish. You can also password protect your files. The choice is yours whether you want to keep the photos on your phone once you back them up, or delete them from your phone to free up space.
I did not have any problems using it, but it does come with support information if you do need help. This flash drive is great. I am very pleased with this product.
I’ve never used a usb storage device for my iPhone, but I’ve consistently ran out of space and have needed to pay for additional storage for years now. I do take a lot of photos. This sandisk flash drive is awesome! It was the first time I’ve used anything like it, and I’m glad it’s compatible with my phone and iPad.
It’s incredibly easy to “install” and to use in my phone. It was easy to find the iXpand drive in the App Store too. I was pleasantly surprised to see how easy the app was to use with the flash drive.
What’s really nice is that my whole family can share this drive, or I can use it to share and transfer large videos to family members’ devices, which previously required I transfer the video to my Mac or laptop and then back onto their individual device.
The drive is pretty small and I put it on a lanyard. I wouldn’t personably put it on a keychain, but you can. This is an incredibly useful device and so easy to use. 64gb is great storage capacity. I’ll definitely be taking this on nature hikes with me and putting my daily photos on the flash drive to save phone storage.

Bought these flash drives to create music files to play through the USB port of my stereo. I copied files to it from other flash drives created from the music library on my computer. The Centon DataStick Pro flash drive plays the copied music files just fine on my stereo.
HOWEVER, I have two problems with it: 1) the files do not play the musical artists in alphabetical order by name (like all my other flash drives do) or in the order I had copied them onto the flash drive.
2) I took the flash drive back to my computer to open it and remove some of the song files I did not want to keep on that drive; although the song names were removed as I edited the file library, the actual music file still exists on the drive! It just plays later in the song line-up when I went back to listen to the music on my stereo.
So now, when I put the drive in my computer to see what files are on it, the list is actually incorrect because all the songs that I thought were removed are still there but their titles do not appear anywhere in the list of file names.
I will still use the DataSticks, but I will have to be sure to copy song files individually from an artist’s album if I do not want to listen to all the tracks on the album. That takes an awful lot of time.
This has unnecessary security on it. Then when I add photos, I can’t see icons. The only way I can see icons if I hit “see all photos” but I did not want to see all photos or allow Sandisc to see all photos.
I only want to see the ones on this drive when I plug it in. It doesn’t work like other USB drives. When I Googled troubleshooting, other people had the same issue. If I’m using this USB for one category, I don’t want to see everything on my computer, nor do I want everyone else robbed able to see all files by plugging this one in.
I won’t buy Sandisc again.
I have to give a review of this because of all the negative comments here. My previous work gave me one of these, as they do all employees, back in 2010. I made very heavy use of it: mostly formatting time and time again loading up different Windows, Linux and Bitcoin boot ISOs (which always changes the MBR).
I also copied very large mkvs (8 to 12 GB) to move around from time to time. Constantly formatting and copying again. I also copied 1000s of small files for drivers for those OS installs. Only recently, in late 2014, did it fail me.
And I think this was partially my fault: I was trying to format it with ext4 for Linux (for the first time! all other times was either Fat32 or NTFS). It would work some times, but not all the time. When I decided it wasn’t working, I went back to format it with NTFS – this is when the drive was not detected any longer.
Putting it back into the Linux machine, I removed all partitions – only to get errors such as “WRITE Protected. ” Windows now sees it, but won’t let me format it saying a similar error, “Unable to write.
” Note, I’ve had this for nearly 5 years. I went to Centon’s website and filled out their RMA process – and they are sending me a new one. Wow.
