I have been on a journey with my digestive issues for quite some time, it’s just been slowly getting worse! Gas in the evening followed by early morning heartburn. Nothing could cure my H-pylori ~ after taking 3 bouts of antibiotics which was brutal ! I was desperate. Tried a few bottles of AOR gastric relief and my symptoms seem to have gone ? Not sure if the H-Pylori has been eliminated but that’s OK as long as the discomfort and pain is diminished to the occasional twinge so far.

These sodium bicarbonate are great for heartburn/acid reflux and they are better for your heart then tums or proton pump inhibitor pills. The latest studies show that people who take tums take too much and chalk up / harden their blood vessels.

People who take proton pump inhibitors damage their hearts in a different way. But these simple old fashion baking soda pills won’t give you heart problems, it’s a great product!.

Sodium bicarbonate in difficult to find here in a store. When we did find it, the price was a bit high. My mother has to take them twice a day now. Found them on here and was impressed with the price difference.

I’m required to take 4 sodium bicarb tabs daily for kidney stones. Buying a bottle of 500 every 130 days or so is expensive and a hassle. I’ve found buying 4 bottles at one time to be a great value and very convenient.

Doesn’t everybody have a bottle of this in their household? I can’t remember a time when I didn’t have one. But, I’m sure if there was a rare occasion that I was caught without one and needed it, I would have been super miserable.

Pepto-Bismol is great product that should always be in every medicine cabinet. You don’t want to be running to the store to purchase it with an upset stomach or diarrhea. When you need it, you need it now! This is the first time I’ve tried the Cherry flavor, I think it’s a nice option for those who just don’t like peppermint.

It will settle an upset stomach and heartburn very fast. I can’t speak for diarrhea, I never used it for that symptom. I sometimes have a problem with the thicker consistency, but that’s just me. The handy dose cup is also included, Be sure to use it to get the correct dose and best results.

I don’t know if Up & Up changed their recipe for this, but it’s awful. I took it for mild heartburn and woke up at 2 am with a heaving reflex. Like I would have vomited in my sleep. It tasted different from what I remembered and luckily I had a bottle of real Pepto Bismol in stock.

The taste difference is very obvious. Up & Up tasted like pure, gluey sugar. The sweetness of it was strange. Side by side, the liquid doesn’t coat the clear bottle like the Pepto Bismol liquid does.

It wasn’t always like this. I will not be buying this off brand product in the future.

Seems to work ok like the name brand but tastes way worse. So as long as you can choke it down it works. It also seems really runny. I will pay the extra dollar or two for name brand next time.

I’ve tried Mylanta and of course tums but nothing compares to this stuff! I had such horrible heartburn/acid reflux that it made sleep nonexistent if I ate anything before bed. I talked to my doctor and she suggested trying this product and I wish I had it sooner.

I take one (24 hour relief) right before bed and I’ve been having absolutely no issues what-so-ever! Total game changer for a 7mo pregnant lady who loves to snack and enjoy good foods sometimes even an hour before bed.

I’ve been suffering with heart burn for a long while now and never really looked into anything to help it other than natural things. My mom told me about this product and bought me a bottle. The chew tablets don’t taste all that bad and don’t leave a long lasting chalky feeling in your mouth.

They do take about 30 mins to to work on me, sometimes I find myself taking a second one, which really helps. This helps also with indigestion and an upset stomach too. I love not having to take anti-nauseants for an upset stomach now; no drowsy side effects.

I was on PPIs which didn’t work at all. I found some luck using prescription Famotidine but I have a new insurance and they don’t cover a lot it’s like 84 bucks it’s a liquid because I have trouble with pills and it only last about a little over a week.

I’ve had the Pepcid in my medicine cabinet for months. I ran out of my prescription and had to take the Pepcid and it works better than the prescription I had. I had the lump feeling, heartburn , throat would always be sore and inflamed.

I am now able to eat anything with no issues. It gave me my life back. I take it every night before bed.

I only rate this product a 3 because I personally did not like the flavor (the berry one tastes soo much better, and it still works the same!) but other then that it works amazing! It works so quick especially for heartburn! This was a must have for me when I was pregnant.

These chewable caplets are a Family Medicine Kit “must have”. I have many food allergies and a chronic immune issue. I take Anti Histamines, and GERD meds but sometimes the GI gets unhappy. This version of PEPTO is convenient and always helps (reflux, feelings of nausea, post nausea, pain).

We have three GSD, sadly all three have serious food allergies. They get very expensive shots ($900/month), RX food and raw Bison (for 1, raw beef for2). They also get anti H, Pepcid and 1 PB capsule at night.

I’ve noticed they sleep better, wake up without feeling nauseous. I got my Vet’s approval as it is not (NOT) rated for K9 use. If you have GI issues for your family dog please discuss Pepcid, Pepto and I use a low dose anti nausea (human RX they have prescription).

All these keep them eating, active and happy! I don’t like the texture of this product usually snap in half take two halves twice w water. Dogs just get hand pulled, 1 whole caplet.

My ma is 90 years old. She has had an upset stomach for at least the last 60 years, maybe longer but that’s as far back as her offspring can remember. Worse from stress, raw veggies, and fresh fruit.

Removing her gall bladder didn’t change anything, except the gall bladder attacks she started having when she was about 80. Somewhere on the internet, it said the problem with taking too much Pepto is Salicylic poisoning.

Looks to me similar to an Aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) overdose, with the stomach ulcerating. The bottle says you can take up to 16 tabs per day, as required. Bet you that some people need more than 16 per day, chronically, and that’s the failure of Medical Science.

My Ma’s upset stomach is 95% better if she takes 2 per day. Maybe she can miss an occasional day, but she really shouldn’t. Wish we could find out what’s with her insides, but Medical Science has failed her, too.

Hoping that 2 tabs per day, forever, is safe. The Pepto website doesn’t provide the list of “inactive” ingredients. The bottle of tabs doesn’t show the inactive ingredients. That’s a neglect that I haven’t seen with a product in a very long time.

Even my Chapstick lists everything. I strongly suspect that Pepto uses a combination of Red Food Dyes that do nothing for the efficacyof the Pepto, but only make it pretty. Given that most people who use Pepto are using it periodically, I think most of the users would be delighted if the artificial colors were removed for reduced chemical exposure and a more pure product.

And in the 21st Century, I think it would be a Marketing windfall for Pepto if the product turned gray. They could keep the packaging “pink. ” I give Pepto 4 out of 5 stars, because it works well and appears to be low toxicity.

But instead of a cure, it’s a product you generally need to keep purchasing, maybe forever. Sounds like an investment opportunity? I also rated it “Not recommended” because it’s only a symptom suppressor, and what’s truly “recommended” is to find the cause of the problem (like diet?) and correcting the underlying cause.

In such a situation, I also had to rate it “Not a good value. ” Again, “value” would be finding the cause of the problem. And there’s no way for the consumer to rate the “Quality” of Pepto. Quality includes purity and consistency with the stated milligrams, and there’s no way for me to test that stuff.

Going on a long haul flight? You NEED this. I flew from NY to London on 3 separate planes. Was in the air for about 12 hours. I normally get so gassy on planes even for domestic flights. I started feeling gassy and queasy after eating the gross plane food.

I took two of these. In the first 10 minutes I felt like gas bubbles traveling to my rear which made me nervous that this would make me have to pass gassy instead of holding it in. Im not the sort to pass gas on planes so I would’ve just been holding it in feeling uncomfortable stabbing feelings the entire journey as I have on several other plane rides.

Not with this! In 20 minutes I felt perfect for the last 8 hour leg of the flight. It’s not just the Tums part as I’ve taken tums alone got flights and it helps some but not nearly as much as these.

IDK what I had consumed but it was alive and it wanted to exit my stomach though the front, right underneath my sternum. I was in so much pain I wanted to cry. I was thinking to myself this is it. I will always have a bottle at my house.

I usually hate fruit flavored antacids. However, when tums released the Chewy Bites line, I was thrilled that I wouldn’t have to deal with the chalkiness of other antacids any longer. The chewy bites are great.

The flavor is tolerable. Honestly a gummy would be way more ideal if I’m already feeling an upset stomach, because these bites are a little hefty to chew on when I’m not feeling my best. All in all, I’ll take these any day over the chalky ones.

I still have a bad habit when it comes to eating healthy. I love spicy, hot foods and wash it down with lemonade. As you can imagine this combination of food and drink makes for perfect recipe for heartburn.

Sometimes after a day of eating like this I would get acid reflux during sleep, even days later. Well one day my company had a chili cook-off with some very hot chili, which equates to trying everyone’s chili throughout the day, and I knew that I would get heartburn later in the day or evening, or worse acid reflux as I slept, so the morning of the chili cook-off I took one of the Prilosec OTC.

I am happy to report, after day one, no heartburn and slept great, without any acid reflux. The next morning (Sat) before eating breakfast I took another Prilosec OTC and went about my day, not even thinking about the day before, and worries of heartburn.

Well Saturday evening I found myself out with friends dining at one of our favorite Mexican restaurants, and again eating spicy food. I thought for sure I would pay the price for eating like this, two days in a row.

Well day three, and still no signs of heartburn. So far very pleased with this product, knowing I can still eat like a teenager, and not suffer days later.

Before getting this product, I had no idea that I could prevent heartburn. I thought that you had to wait until heartburn hit and then try to fix it as soon as possible, downing other products quickly or drinking milk to temporarily sooth the discomfort.

I get heartburn all the tinge, so why not try it, right?! I’ve been taking one a day for the last four days, and I haven’t had a single heartburn since. I’ve even eaten heartburn inducing foods like spicy Asian, cornbeef, acidic fruits, and casseroles with lots of spices.

These items always caused heartburn in the past. So far, I’m going strong, heartburn free. The package says it could take up to 4 days to work, but I saw a difference after 1 day. It won’t cause immediate relief of a heartburn though.

This is for long lasting prevention. I love how small the pill is and how easy it is to swallow. If only they could also cause immediate relief, this would be the prefect product. I haven’t had a need for immediate relief though.

Also, they advise not to take it for more than 14 days in a row, but you can repeat it after 4 months. I’ve experienced no side effects so far. I recommend trying this!.

This is an excellent product. As an RN, I remember when it was prescription only Pepcid. For those of us who do not want to take the proton pump inhibitors like Prilosec, Prevacid and other brands, this is a good substitute since you don’t have to take it daily.

Just when you have heartburn from reflux. I like it because I’m able to control when I take it and not just dump a medication into my system everyday.

They do work when you can actually swallow the thing. Small but shaped weird making it hard to swallow and gets stuck in your throat half the time, very annoying. But when taken a half hour to an hour before eating or drinking the stuff you like, it does the job.

Gave 4 stars because they are hard to swallow.

Deswegen rate ich das Präparat nach weggehen der Beschwerden langsam auszuschleichen, nicht von heute auf morgen, das wäre eher kontraproduktiv.
