I have taken Garden of Life multi vitamin products for women for years, but recently purchased this product: vitamin code 50 and wiser. There was an issue with the outside of the number of the capsules where there seemed to be an irregularity/ hard to explain, but almost a wrinkle / unevenness that made me uncomfortable.

I should probably say the suprising thing it comes with is added B12 , C & Folate. I’m happy I tried this out. I often get restless legs and uncomfortably tight muscles along back of body from calves to neck, typically at night interfering with falling asleep, and historically worse in early summer.

I had a bad spell of it in winter and read that iron might help. Also around that time had some minor aberrations in blood cell metrics that might benefit as well, so I gave this a shot. Because restless muscle business was happening at night, I took it at night (dinner).

I should have read and followed the instructions to take it in the morning. Two big shifts happened when I took at night. I have always had trouble waking early and I have never had the need to pee during sleep hours more than once a year.

Hello – I was so excited to try this iron since it’s the polysaccharide form and it’s in a high potency and its vegan!!! But I have read reports of the citric acid creating an acidic environment with the sodium Benzoate to produce benzene.

The original study had ascorbic acid in it (I realize this). but citric acid and ascorbic acid are very close in chemical composition. And I think that concern of any acidic medium reacting with sodium benzoate is going to weigh on anybody that reads up on this.

Is there any way you can reformulate novaferrum to not have this issue? And also as an additional plus, remove any fillers or flavors etc. There is a HUGE market for a product like this. I personally am a part of several iron-related groups totaling over 50,000+ people and if you can incorporate these changes, this product will fly off the shelves.

I?ve dealt with anemia for years, I had to have a porta cath implanted so I could have regular treatments of intravenous iron infusions because I could not find a supplement I could tolerate. Since I found this 3 years ago I have been able to finally get rid of my port after 9 years and also haven?t had to have any iron infusions.

This iron supplement tastes disgusting but it has really helped with my anemia (I get lab work every 3 months, my hemoglobin has gone up since I started taking this 3 months ago). All you taste is pure gross metal.

I prefer taking sublingual iron because iron that you swallow hurts my stomach/gives me cramps and gas. I let it disslove, drink a few sips of water, rinse my mouth out and brush my teeth to get rid of the awful taste.

So yes it works for anemia/iron deficiency but you have to get past the horrible taste.

This is a great iron supplement. I was previously taking a lower dose gummy iron and was afraid to take one of these higher dose iron supplements for fear of having stomach issues. But I really wish I had started taking Slow FE sooner; I haven’t experienced any negative side effects so far.

During my pregnancy last year I was having a hard time with the prenatal vitamins prescribed, I figured I try this vegan formula. This was the only vitamin that did not make me nauseous when taking it unlike others I tried but failed to like.

The endocrinologist told me that I would have to take those pills about a year to get my iron and ferritin levels up to par, but I knew there was no way in hell I was going to suffer taking those pills for a whole year because they debilated my quality of life just that much.

So, I started looking for alternatives immediately and I came across these pills. I began taking them about 30 days before my next blood test and as I took them, I had no stomach cramping, no feeling of nausea and best of all, I wasn’t constipated at all.

Beware of shipping… poor packing. This is glass bottles inside of thin cardboard boxes. They put 4 boxes in a little bubble mailer envelope. It was shipped and when package was opened the thin cardboard boxes were mashed to the point I really wondering if there was liquid in the bottles.
