Leslie Sansone’s DVDs are popular workout videos that can be used for weight loss. The DVDs typically feature Sansone leading a group of people through an aerobic workout. The workouts are usually done in a studio, but some of the DVDs also feature exercises that can be done at home.
I love all of Leslie Sansone work-out DVD’s. Using the stretchie band helps boost the workout. I can feel that it is working. I like Leslie’s instruction and her encouragement. The music helps pump up the workout.
Great to be able to stay in my own home and workout no matter the weather. So fun to workout with Leslie and the group. Puts me in a good mood.
Great value for your money. Perfect no impact cardio workout. Suitable for all ages. I do my lower body workout then follow up with this to burn more calories. Great to have the different lengths of walks.
I love this home walking program! I bought this DVD and a couple more at the same time. The main reason I like this type of exercise is that I don’t have to leave the house at 5:30AM to get to the gym, workout and get to work on time.
I can do it at home, it’s fun, you get a good workout, and an hour passes by before you even realize it!! I have several other exercise programs, but I do them a few times and then they sit on the shelf.
With Leslie’s program, I actually look forward to the next morning’s workout! I vary the different DVDs so I don’t do the same one over and over. I recommend them to everyone! I plan to give some as Christmas gifts this year!.

Two members of the group are doing simpler, less strenuous exercises, for those of more limited ability and where previous Leslie Sansone DVDs I have watched have been set in a gym, these ‘Walks’ have been more more obviously tailored for home use.
I bought this DVD for myself because I didn’t want my exercise to be dictated by the weather; I then bought it as a present for my friend because she wants to lose weight but needs to stay close to home for health reasons.
Inevitably, after several viewings, the repetition of the same phrases starts to grate. At this point you can switch to the music only mode. By the time this gets on your nerves, you will be able to follow the actions without verbal instructions and can listen to your own music – or mute it.
I have many of Leslie Sansone’s DVDS, but wanted a faster one to help get my 10K steps in quickly. I find the music only option great when I just want to think while exercising. The count done clock is a great motivator, especially toward the end of the work out when getting tired.
I love all of her DVDs and this one is one of my favorites, would have liked those with her to have been spread out more and found seeing the camera distracting though. I like her studio better tan this dark stage.
MY favorite DVD is “5 boosted miles”, but like to mix it up for variety and this DVD is a great one to do this.
Intense workout! I’d consider myself a fairly seasoned “walker” as I frequently do the Fast and Firm 4 miles, but this one kicks my butt. For the first time in months did a workout send my heartrate into peak zone.
There was times I had trouble keeping up. Definitely 4 “fast” miles.
An indoor, walking-style fat-burner that builds in intensity. You can start with the first segment and gradually work your way to a higher fitness level (each of the four “miles” gets faster and more challenging).
As always, Leslie’s enthusiasm is inspiring and her choreography is easy to follow. The first two segments are classic Walk Aerobics — just four basic moves: marches, kicks, side-steps and step-touches.
The third mile speeds it up with gentle jogging and simple grapevines. The final segment uses an optional resistance band to tone your upper body as it boosts the cardio effectiveness. Includes some recognizable vocal hit songs (e.
g. “Everybody Dance Now”). A 5-foot resistance band is optional.
You would think, by now, I would learn with this woman. I got it today, watched it and thought it looks like a good workout. The only problem is her big mouth. If she could just tone it down this would be an excellent workout.
Its almost like she feels she has to talk and screech for some odd reason. I think this is her loudest talking workout yet. The dvd’s I have gotten with her “alone” are much better on the ears but less challenging.
I like that the miles are separate so you can chose all or just a couple. The cool down at the end is nice. She does a little yoga and the music is nice.
The weather turned and I needed some new Leslie videos to keep my mojo flowing. This is my third Leslie video and by far the most intense. It builds up faster than some of the others, and is longer than any of the others I own.
In spite of this, it actually seems to go by quickly when you’re doing it. (I don’t find myself watching the clock at all on this one. ) I enjoy the group setting, the options of doing just the miles you want, the “boosted” walking, and the stretchie band in Mile 4.
At one point in the video one of the other walkers takes over for a bit, and it tickles me for some reason to see how sweaty Leslie is after that part. I usually do the full 4 miles and find myself very challenged in this one.
This video also has the best stretching segment of all the ones I own. The other ones feel hurried and like more of an afterthought – not this one. The only thing I don’t care for on this video is the funky angles the camera sometimes takes.
Esp with the stretchie band part. It’s sometimes hard to see exactly what position they’re arms are in when the camera is coming from up top. But it’s not that big a deal, just had to pay a little closer attention the next time.
Overall it’s a great workout. The variations on the four basic moves, the boosted walking, and the great stretch make this one a definite go-to video in my library. I have lost 30 lbs since August doing nothing but walking and these videos and making small adjustments in my diet.
You can do this at home without a huge investment. and these videos definitely help!.
I have had the Walk Slim system for 2 years, and just now used the “4 Really BIG Miles”. Now I’m thinking,”What took you so long?” I was sweating by the 2nd mile. The intensity builds at a steady pace.
you’re not worn out by the 3rd mile, but you are definitely getting a good workout. The time went by very quickly. It didn’t seem like I was doing it for nearly an hour. I have quite a collection of Leslie’s DVD’s, and I use ALL of them.
This low impact exercise is perfect to burn fat, energize and improve my fitness. all of this without breaking the bank, or straining my joints and back. I recommend them to everyone.

This is a combo of some of her previous workouts! It is a great value versus purchasing the workouts separately. Each workout has it’s own warm up and cool down. The DVD is chaptered, and the workouts do not run all together.
For example Power Mile runs for 20 minutes, and then it stops, if you want to continue exercising, you will have to go to the chapters on the dvd, pick out the one you want and start over. The four basic moves she does is all on the DVD as well.
Walks on the DVD. Power Mile 20 minutes, is a 1 mile walk, there is interval training in this, and you have the option of using light, or medium, with this. You can use weights or balls. She is not by herself and has 2 other walkers with her.
You will work both upper and lower body. This is a great 20 minute workout! Walk Strong, is my favorite, it is a 33 minute circuit training walk, which is called interval training. That is you walk for a couple minutes, and then use weights for 3 minutes to tone, both upper and lower body.
This is equal to a 2 mile walk. She has 4 other walkers with her. I normally use 3-5-8 lb. weights. You will work almost the entire body. Walk and Jog is 33 minutes, this is equal to a 2 mile walk. Leslie uses her standard walking for a few minutes, and then you jog, in place, backwards and forwards.
She has other walkers with her. You will work the entire body, because she does use arm movements in this as well. She has 4 other walkers with her. Good moderate to fast pace. Walk and Kick is 33 minutes and equals a 2 mile walk.
It’s mild kickboxing for about two minutes, with puches of the arms and legs, and then back to walking. You will work alot of the upper and lower body. This is good for someone who has never had any previous kickboxing, but for me, it wasn’t intense enough for me, but I do use it for a light day.
I LOVE Leslie Sansones walk programs. I’ve tried many different exercise programs in DVD, but she is by far my favorite. I started using the walk away the pounds dvds over 10 years ago after I tore my ACL and was going to physical therapy.
I needed something a little less strenuous then some of the more difficult dvds. I noticed results after just a few weeks. I gotbstronger and became more flexible and after a few months moved into longer mile “walks”.
I can only give high praises, and after 10 years I am still doing her dvds daily. No need for machines or super hard work outs. I am continually asked how stay in such great shape. I happy to say it’s because of Leslie Sansone.
I really love this and do at least 2 miles 5 or 6 days a week, I have lost 42 pounds so far. At first I didn’t think just walking would do much, but I was wrong! Using the stretchy band included is also great, but you don’t have to use it.
Caution – there was no mention of weights for the 1 mile walk, although you could just cans of beans or something instead, or no weights at all. I happen to have weights, so I was OK. She does show the moves with some sort of weighted balls, which you could probably buy separately.
I just didn’t see any mention of weights on the DVD case.

This video is designed to walk in your own living room. You don’t need a lot of room to do it. It is only walking and moving to the side. This is low impact and is excellent for arthritic knees. It only lasts for 30 minutes.
It is especially good for Seniors. I am 69 years old and it works well for me. If you need more distance, there are other videos by this same person for a 3 mile walk and another for a 4 mile walk.
I was looking to try and get myself motivated and enjoy exercising again. I purchased this and I tell you what, it’s an excellent workout and has gotten me back on track. I look forward to doing this video each day, and that’s a great feeling to have when it comes to exercise =o) I told my friend about this video and so she had me buy her one as well so that she too can better her health =o).
this is one of my favorite ways to exercise. leslie makes it easy & cheerful & is always encouraging. amazingly, i haven’t yet gotten sick of listening to the same thing every day! i have started slow, but look forward to being able to speak as easily as she does at the end of the work out!.
I have done almost all of Leslie Sansone’s walking videos. I love them and I love her. The Leslie Sansone Walk and Home/Walk Slim Fast Firming is great, just like all of her other videos. It comes with the band used for the video, which is great because you don’t have to go out and buy one.
I didn’t actually think the band would be that useful during the workout but it actually works your muscles pretty well! I even found my muscles slightly sore the next day, which I did not expect at all.
This DVD is great for those that are beginners. You can do as much or as little of the video as you want. This one is a 4 mile long one and like all the Leslie videos it is split up by mile. I love doing workout videos at home because I get self-conscious working out in front of people.
As usual Leslie is very encouraging and likeable. She’s very down to earth and is good at motivating you. Generally I end up finishing the workout before I even notice it’s actually been that long. I highly recommend this DVD.
It’s a great workout that’s not too strenuous and you can do it in the comfort of your own home!.
I love this workout dvd by Leslie Sansone. This is not a walking fitness dvd but this is a firming fitness dvd. Leslie Sansone works different parts of your body in this workout dvd. Leslie Sansone does a really good job with explaining each strength training move that will be perform and how it will strengthen your muscle groups.
The entire workout is about 25 minutes long. I use this dvd by itself when I feel like I need to stretch and tone my entire body and I even use this dvd paired with a cardio fitness dvd as well. Other ways one can use this fitness dvd is to use a light pair of hand weights instead of the strechie band that comes with the fitness dvd.
The packaging states that this workout is 40 minutes long but this is not the case. Of course that is a typo error with the manufacturer. This is a great addition to anyone fitness dvd collection. It helps tone my body and help me with being more flexible.
Env: development I love Leslie and her videos since they’re so incredibly easy to use and follow along to, even for someone like me who has no sense of choreography. I was able to follow along almost perfectly by the end of my first time through.
I was intrigued by this video since it it had the band to work the upper body. Unfortunately the band did not work as well for me as just plain weights or the balls she uses in some of her videos. I must be band challenged because my band would get tangled, slip from my hands, and on and on.
I spent more time wrestling with the darn thing than I did using it. Ultimately I just ended up doing the movements without the band. Because of my band experiences I eventually put this at the back of my collection of Leslie’s discs.
I’ll do it once in a while just to mix things up but I don’t do it consistently. I love Leslie and I love her DVDs but this was just not for me. Others may find the whole band thing fun, but I couldn’t master it.

I am a great fan of Leslie Sansone’s walking program. They are low impact, but give a great workout. Since I am “40 plus” I decided to pick this one up. I love doing this one when I don’t really feel like working out.
The moves are a bit repetitious, but again, gives a good workout. Since it is especially geared for a “mature” audience, the moves are not impossible to perform. I also like just walking 2 miles. The 30 minute workout is enough for me on a regular basis.
In the DVD, she has a wide cross section of participants, including men. So you guys out there, don’t be afraid to pick this one up. And ladies, I think all ages will enjoy this fine workout.
I love Leslie Sansone. I’ve tried so many walking videos, including Foreman (OK and real – but too much talking & stroking George’s eg0), Denise Austin (way too perky) and Biggest Loser (Not bad) – but by far the best is Sansone.
I have about 8 of her DVD’s – she’s easy to listen to, not too talky, sensible, enjoyable – and there are so many variations, including walking with boosters (weights, stretchies, belts), pilates, the big ball, walking with a jog, walking with kick boxing, 1,2,3,4 & 5 mile workouts.
All excellent. If there is one drawback, it’s that GAIAM must have purchased rights of already recorded videos, so without knowing, you can buy something you already have. So give it to a friend! I’d buy Leslie Sansone over any of the other ones – whatever she new idea she comes up with.
I love Leslie Sansone videos! I have used them for years with great results. Not having to leave my home to get a GREAT workout is worth your time and money. Plus, you get the results you were looking for.
This is a great video workout. Leslie sticks with her basic steps which are simple, easy to follow, strength building, and toning. At the end of three miles I am invigorated, refreshed, and ready for a shower.
After using this for two weeks I am losing weight, I feel better, and it is also helping me to stay with my diet. There is a meter in the video to mark your progress so you can stop at the one- or two-mile intervals if you so choose.
I would recommend this video to anyone interested in doing in-home or group exercising.
This Walk Away the Pounds is a one mile video among the many versions Leslie Sansone has made. I absolutely love it because its short and sweet and really gets the job done. I highly recommend this video to anyone who is short on time, has arthritis or doesnt do a lot of exercise.
When I finish, I feel like I got a great work out. Its the perfect answer for me!.
The walk away the pounds dvds are not the toughest or most exciting DVDs. They aren’t meant to be. They are meant to be accessible to all, and they are. If you are older, out-of-shape, need a light-day workout, or are pressed for time, this is the DVD for you.
You get out of this what you put in. You can make it easy or more challenging by how large you make the moves. It is so quick, there is NO excuse for not exercising. The balls add fun to the workout, but regular weights can be substituted for them as well.
My mom is in her 60s and works 60+ hours a week. She couldn’t find time to workout, but with Leslie’s Walking DVDs, she’s found time. Also, my dad has diabetes and Leslie’s DVDs were recommended to him by his dietician as exercise to help control his sugar.
I Love Leslie Sansone’s DVD. They make working out a lot more fun. Leslie is a great motivator, she is bubbly and spirited. If the weather is bad you can just pop in one of her DVDs and away you go. This one is one of my favorites.
It’s a quick mile when you haven’t a lot of time to spare. Why pay big bucks for a Treadmill?.
I have exercised to Lindas DVDs for years, but hadnt seen a more modern workout until a group at my RV resort used it daily. I love the music and additions to moves. I turn off the sound and exercise to tv programs I have pre-recorded.
dont need to have her commentary every day, but it was OK at first. In researching Lindas credentials, she is no lightweight. makes me more positive about the value of her programs.
This is my 2nd Leslie CD, not bad at all. I got this along with her Party Hits dvd. This one might be slightly better , than the Party Hits dvd. It got my Heart Rate up, so that was a good thing. Gave me good “mileage” and “LOTS” of “Steps” (if that is something you count).
I enjoyed it and glad I bought it. Good for Beginner to intermediate workout.
I’ve been walking with the Queen of in-home walking, Leslie Sansone, for about 6 years and have at least 12 of her walking videos. I think this is one of her best. As for some of the details. in this one she is solo, the 3 miles can be selected as one or individually, there is a visible time clock, and an option for music only, if desired.
Since due to my knees & joints, I need something lower impact, and don’t want to walk out in the neighborhood. Leslie’s chatty instructional walk dvd’s suit me, but I still wanted a little more of a challenge.
I love that Leslie has recently updated her style, and this DVD is faster paced with the addition of several new moves. As a plus, it has a brief palates floor exercise section at the end, which is more of an introduction to palates.
Couldn’t find this dvd in any stores so I ordered it through Walmart’s site to store, with no shipping charge. I am very satisfied with this purchase.
I’ve been working out to Leslie Sansone worksouts since the early 90s. Her workouts are easy to follow and I know I’m getting a good workout that works the whole body. I really like these newer workouts which include toning.
I love having a bit of variety so I buy a new Leslie Sansone workout every once in a while but still use the old ones, too.
This dvd features Leslie Sansone alone in her studio with the option of a 1,2 or 3 mile walk. There are also some pilates floor exercises on the mat. You can choose the option of instruction by Leslie with music or just the music.
This is a good intermediate walking dvd. I had the earlier 1,2 and 3 mile walks and this one is the best so far. The music is more updated and you can vary the routines.

We have a group of women who meet every week and do Walk Away the Pounds with Leslie Sansone. The 7-Day Calorie Blast is a very nice change from the workouts we’ve been doing over and over for more than 5 years.
There are 7 workouts that can be used individually, or in succession, if one desires. We’ve only done it one time so far. Yet, we think this will be a regular for us since there are so many possible change-ups.
I am having so much fun with this video. The variety of seven different options helps me to pick something any time of day. Leslie has always been a favorite of mine but this video is exceptional. She is fun to watch and explains what happens to your body when you exercise.

I have had a few different Leslie SansoneVHS (yes VHS) tapes over the years and loved them. It was time to upgrade to DVD and I wanted to find something a little more challenging. This one is perfect, it combines strength training with the high intensity walking Leslie is known for.
I love the Leslie Sansone walking videos. I no longer have a VCR so I’m trying to build a DVD collection. Gave my video collection to some friends who I shared my love of Leslie. This is by far one of my favorites.
Love the transition from walking to intense strength building lunges and exercises. I try to do these first thing in the morning before work and I’m looking for programs that are shorter, less time consuming but still a great workout.

I love Leslie Sansone! I have her walk way the pounds ultimate collection, and now all of the you can do series. I use them 6 days a week, I do a walking video either 1 mile, 2 mile, 3 or 4 mile (depending how my day went) and 1 of the you can do videos (abs, pilates, yoga) for a total workout, and I feel great.
I have tried other work out videos but I haven’t enjoyed any like I do these. She makes her workouts simple but effective, fun, and I love the encouragement she provides throughout.
Very good basic stability ball workout dvd. It can be very hard to find a variety of workout dvd’s for a stability ball and this one is very good. Leslie takes her time and explains each move. This would be a good one for a beginner or even more advanced user.
I have had my stability ball for over a year and this still had a couple of moves that were challenging. This was another great Leslie Sansone workout to add to my collection!.

Love Leslie and this is a more moderate pace than some of her other workouts. A mix of walking and strength training. There are some lunges in it the I am not sure “older” adults could do, I sure can’t.
I think maybe it’s just re-titled to be for older adults.
This is good, but somewhat strenuous for older adults. I work out regularly, but found this to be a little more than what I expected. Didn’t realize it included weights. However, I will continue to use it, although I may need to modify a little.
Love my previous Leslie Sanson DVDs! By the way, I’m 78.
I bought this DVD for my 64 year old mother. She was very unhappy with it, because she couldn’t keep up with even what was supposed to be senior speed. It was as normal for a 30 to 40 year old as it could get.
What speed do you need to burn fat? Leslie will tell you within minutes and what a surprise that it’s not an extreme pace! I have been using Leslie Sansone’s walking videos to work out to for over 15 years. I have some health challenges that make it very difficult for me to do high impact workouts, so these walking DVD’s have been a great alternative.
They offer the option for you to choose whatever number of miles you are feeling up to, and they offer a variety of different DVD’s with different intensity levels; some DVD’s have easy walks for beginners or those with health challenges, some DVD’s are an intermediate level, and some offer greater intensity by adding some jogging, fast pace walking, and resistance training.
I LOVE the variety available. Several of the DVD’s pretty much follow the same type of routine: walking in place, kicks, knee lifts, and stepping side to side. But this DVD offers some variety: You can do a 1,2, or 3 mile walk.
And Leslie has added some new and fun moves, which makes it a nice change from the typical routine. I REALLY like this particular DVD. I have done each of the workouts: the 1, 2, & 3 mile walks and I enjoyed them all.
I like that this is not a high intensity workout but more of an intermediate workout – which is what I typically do. I suffer from severe adrenal fatigue, so energy is a BIG issue for me. I never know from day to day how much energy I willhave for the day, so I own a variety of these DVD’s & choose a workout that fits my energy level for that day.
These DVD’s have been a huge blessing to me. On days when my energy is depleted I can still choose an easy 1 mile walk, just so I can keep moving.
I have a LOT of Leslie Sansone workout videos, and this one is definitely at the TOP of my list of favorites! It has the usual choices of workouts, depending on your fitness level. What I really like is the cheery studio setting and the even-bubblier-than-usual interaction between Leslie and her workout buddies.
