It is outrageously funny and intensely real contrasting the two constantly while husband is trying as well to balance his work,kids and nurturing Mom in all her roles in their relationships.

It goes from practical, as in getting a baby sitter to misunderstanding and frustration of the 3 Mom’s night out-all 3 go to things together and also worship together as well, then to a bit frightening to outrageous to hilarious to ‘God knows what He’s doing no matter if we do not’ and balance as well as blessing occur wholeheartedly.

Recommend with no reservations to Mom’s & Dad’s everywhere trying to make it in a world full of corrupt choices they try to navigate through while all the while living fully in the here and now with seeing God working perfectly in an imperfect world, with imperfect yet His own people finding answers and hope through trusting Him believing He works through both situations as these and His own people.

Terrible movie, couldn’t sit through the whole thing, Could have been a good movie except it was overkill on every aspect. The lines were busy and no surprises. Throwing the DVD away!

When I 1st saw Get Out I was shocked at how good that movie was so when Us was announced and it was from the Jordan Peele I had such high hopes and excitement, but after buying and watching this movie I was left unsatisfied and bewildered.

I saw so many reviews saying “Worth seeing again and again” and “Jordan Peele has done it again” so I went out and bought it. The movie starts out showing an average family preparing to take a well deserved family vacation with minor qualms from the two children.

Flashbacks from the mother’s childhood sets the tone of the terror that will soon take place. The flashback showed a situation that happened to her when she was a kid but for whatever reason, she and the family chose to go to the beach area EXACTLY where the traumatizing situation happened to her.

WHY!? Was this the only beach in their city? Did the beach ONLY have this area? This caught my attention right away and I felt that it was a forced scene to keep the movie moving towards the horrific events about to unfold.

I don’t want to spoil the movie so I’ll be as vague as possible and still try and get my point across. Just like when the mother was younger, her son decided that he’s going to wonder off without informing the parents.

Noticing him gone a short while later, the mother panics and frantically starts screaming his name only for him to appear like “what’s wrong?” The mother remembering the event that happened to her demands that the family goes back to their vacation bungalow and this is when the “horror” begins.

People show up that look just like them but are supposedly “evil” versions of them and start terrorizing the family. I was hooked for a minute until the family escapes and run over to their neighbor’s place just to see them murdered.

I’ll leave it there because of the twists that are revealed. To me, Peele had a great idea but wasn’t executed that well. To me it seems that somewhere during the filming he started just throwing in different ideas and making it up as he went.

The ending left me unsatisfied and questioning a lot of the movie. A great idea that didn’t seemed fully realized. Decent at best. I would recommend this movie to friends ONLY to see what their opinions would be.

This review was written just after this film was released in theaters. Jordan Peele’s Us is a film I’ll be mentally unpacking for days to come. This is a horror film that is intellectually playing on a totally different level.

Us will be interpreted in a million different ways as this is one of the most thematically and symbolically rich Hollywood films I’ve seen in years. It is the kind of movie that cannot be discussed with someone that hasn’t seen it yet, so my review will be as surface level as possible and contain no spoilers.

I’ll begin with Jordan Peele. He became one of the most exciting filmmakers after his debut film, Get Out. He continues to be just that, again serving as writer and director. Peele is a very smart guy, and it shows in this new film.

There is so much being said beneath the surface in almost every scene. I don’t yet know if Us is a better film than Get Out, but it certainly IS a better horror film. The atmosphere and tension he builds is fantastic.

The performances he’s able to get out (pun intended) of his cast are incredible, especially Lupita Nyong’o, but more on her later. He’s very selective with the information he reveals and keeps hidden, your feelings on that may vary, but it opens the film up to lots of questions and readings.

This film is meant to be discussed. I’m super excited for the new Twilight Zone with Peele being at the helm. The film follows Lupita Nyong’o’s character as she goes on vacation with her husband and two kids.

One night they’re confronted by a group of doppelgangers. And that’s all I’ll say. My eyes were glued to the screen the entire time and I love all of the unexpected places this film goes. I’m rarely wowed by kids acting, but the two kids in this movie are really, really good.

Winston Duke brings the needed comic relief as the gooberish father. I felt that Lupita Nyong’o deserved her own paragraph. Hollywood has completely failed her. Since winning her Oscar in 2014, the only high profile live- action role she’s had was last year’s Black Panther.

This is the biggest lead role she’s had since 12 Years A Slave. Her work in Us is exceptional, Academy Award caliber even. She’s essentially playing dual roles here and man is she putting in work. My favorite acting performance from last year was Toni Collette in Hereditary, another Horror film.

She deserved an Oscar for that. Sadly, the Academy has a history of overlooking good acting in this genre and I worry that’ll happen to Lupita this year, but she definitely deserves a nomination. The score works very well.

It’s creepy and dread inducing. I was also impressed by the editing, particularly in crucial scenes in the third act. People will ask me if this movie is scary. Us has maybe a few jump scares but it is not here for that.

Its ideas are way scarier. I will say this is scary compared to Get Out, but it doesn’t come close to the terror in Hereditary. I wanted to immediately rewatch Us as soon as it ended. It begs to be seen more than once, and I can’t wait to.

Your thoughts on this film will depend on your readings of the bigger picture. I’ve watched, read, and listened to a few discussions on this film and I feel that I’ve barely begun to scratch the surface.

I’d really like to go in depth with this one but any thoughts outside the basic plot summary I gave would be heading into spoiler territory. I will say that I don’t think Us works 100% of the time in terms of plot.

There are a few details I would’ve liked to see explained, but I can forgive some of that in a film like this where I think the why is more important than the how. I heard someone compare Us to Darren Aronofsky’s mother! from 2017, and I totally agree.

I absolutely loved mother!, if that helps give any indication on how I feel about Us. This isn’t saying much since it’s only March, but Us is currently the best film of 2019.

I really, really, really enjoyed this film. But as I left the theatre, I had so many more questions than I entered with, and the more I talked about it with a friend the more I realized that it is a complete inverse of the structure in Get Out (which tightens to a conclusion, as opposed to unraveling as you get more answers) which set me up to be disappointed.

My fault! I’m confused by so much of what happened in this movie and what it means and how certain ideas seemingly conflict with the rules of the world, but I still think I loved it. The only review I saw before watching this movie was K.

Austin Collins’ Letterboxd post saying to “not overthink it,” and I think that’s the best advice for how to watch this movie. It’s a fun one for reading piece after piece when it’s over, but without trying to extract depth or “solve” every element of it, it’s just a wonderful horror movie.

Also, it was not lost on me for the entire runtime how truly wonderful it was to see a story with a black family where their skin color was not at all critical to the plot. Especially in a horror film.

I was delighted by it. I want more of this from film– diversity that feels like it’s a choice from the filmmakers for no reason other than to tell a story with different kinds of people. Shouldn’t be revolutionary, and yet.

Michael Abels’ score is wonderful. Lupita is giving an OUTSTANDING performance here. Jordan Peele has already cemented his own sense of style in two films and I can’t wait to see anything and everything he ever makes.

If you’ve ever wondered who is scouring the gay lesbian section of Netflix, it’s my girlfriend and I. Looking for just one film that’s representative but not porn, or too serious, but also well made.

You wouldn’t believe how hard it is to find one that hits the mark. Okay so this film was never going to win any Oscars, but the cast is strong and the story isn’t completely awful, and although eerily reminiscent of a short in Palahniuk’s new book ‘make something up’, it somehow still manages to be a hilarious, slightly strange, fun film to watch while you’re having a donut and some tea.

Oh it’s far from perfect, but you may well enjoy it anyway.

Why did I buy this? To be entertained! Was I? Yes! This 1999 movie deserved a lot more attention than it ever got. Perhaps a little late for the whole “accept Gays” movement, but a very well produced film that will keep you entertained through several viewings.

The plot, in short, is that a cheerleader has some possible lesbian qualities, so her parents send her to “straight camp. ” Of course, she just discovers that she really is a lesbian, falls in love with a hot chick, and everyone accepts it.

Except Mom. See, just like real life! Along the way, a non-drag RuPaul gives a fantastic performance; Richard Moll, the guard from Night Court, gives a cute if not very convincing gay performance. The rest of the cast are well casted and convincing, with the star, Natasha Lyonne, being cheerleader-lesbian adorable.

But, the real star is the fast moving plot itself, and all the absurdities of straight camp, where the females are forced into wearing ultra-feminine clothing and housework, while the guys, wearing baby blue, check their package and fix cars.

Lots of sub plots, a mean camp commandant with her own issues, and a lezzy make-out scene that you probably don’t want to show the young-uns. But, pure good entertainment, well done and fun! Panamadave.

If you like a movie that captivates you right in the first 10 minutes and keeps you guessing what the heck is happening, or what’s going to happen next, then this flick is for you. The story line jumps all over the place keeping you captivated throughout the entire movie.

There are so many twists and turns my head was spinning. I couldn’t wait until the end just to see what was going to happens. Even just five minutes from the movie being over I had absolutely no clue what was coming next! Great acting from everyone in this movie, I mean really great acting.

If you like a good thriller with a lot of twists you will really enjoy this film. I can’t wait to watch it again with my wife to see what she thinks!.

This might not be the worse movie I have ever seen, however, it is very close. For a Helen Hunt Movie, this was so out of her league. There are so many twist and turns, and backward scenes, I almost threw up from the headache it gave me.

Everyone perceives things differently, so, this might entertain some of you, however, to me, it is a cheap made, confusing, movie, that sits in bottom shelf of my DVD movie rack, where the , “DO NOT WATCH AGAIN” sign is hanging~.

The suspense isn’t totally edge chair sitting but it does build as the movie continues. I loved how you keep questioning what is really going on and the great finish which I kinda guessed at but was still a bit of a surprise.

Plus I just love Jon Tenney and think he is a totally underrated actor. He rocks in this movie. Helen Hunt is a favorite too but I have seen her do better in other roles.

‘Get Out’ struck me as more of a thriller with horror and comedic elements. While mostly horror, it’s actually completely hilarious in some parts, making it the funniest and scariest movie I have seen in ages.

It’s no small feat for a horror movie that is also funny. It’s an incredibly well-made film visually, with stylish and unsettling cinematography with some disturbingly surreal imagery. There’s a group of evil people that have developed a way to use kidnapped victims for scientific purposes.

The film is genuinely creepy. Instead of cheesy music and grotesque torture porn, it relies on the unknown to draw you in. The music looms suitably ominously and fits well. While all the performances are very fine, it is Daniel Kaluuya’s superb lead performance that burns in the memory the most.

Bradley Whitford and Catherine Keener nailed their performances as Rose’s parents. Not everything adds up by the end of “Get Out,” but the film plays out in extremely satisfying fashion.

Critics love this kind of movie – it talks a lot and provides plenty of in-depth character development. However, if, like me, you like a little action and scares in your “horror” movies, you won’t find those here.

This is definitely psychological “horror” only. That said, the movie is still good. I just think it is mis-classified. This is not a horror movie in my estimation. This is more “psychological thriller.

” To say more would give away too much information, so see this one, but don’t expect a horror movie.

When you like a person, alot. Usually, the next big step is, maybe meeting their family. I enjoyed this movie. Obviously, alot of important people did, also. Because it has been nominated for a Oscar.

Just to be nominated, is a big deal to me. This family has a rude awakening for this guy who is dating their daughter. I won’t say any more. I thought this movie was very entertaining. Bravo to all involved in making this movie.

Excellent movie! Deals with an historical event. Very compelling and well told. Heart-warming while also heart-wrenching. It doesn’t directly deal with racism, but it shows some aspects of what was believed by several different groups at the time.

Truly worth watching, but not for young children.

Sometimes a great movie comes along. Not often enough. History is a wonderful subject. It changes constantly, and catches many by surprise. This movie is just that. It is a true story, and the story is magnificent in every way.

So captivating is this movie, that if you watch it in a theater-like setting, you will actually feel you are back in time. When a movie does this, it deserves all the accolades. The characters pop right out of the screen, and enthrall you with their splendid mannerisms.

Let’s see. where do I begin? Anthony Hopkins as John Quincy Adams. Totally believable. Matthew McConaughey. This movie must have launched his career. Morgan Freeman. Always entertaining. On and on. Watch it and go back in history.

One movie that should be rated much higher. Caution: Too violent for younger audiences.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is a strange and fantastic trip of a movie based on the 1971 novel by the late Hunter S. Thompson. While this film is certainly not for the faint of heart and probably would not appeal in the slightest to a person who has never taken hallucinogenic drugs, or at least been intimately exposed to their use, it still has a warmth and humor to it that makes it one of my favorite films ever.

Johnny Depp’s portrayal of Thompson is certainly larger than life but his manerisms and animations rival the subtle genius of a Buster Keaton or Charlie Chaplin. Benicio Del Toro also turns in a legendary performance as the twisted sidekick lawyer along for the ride.

Together they make this one of the best and weirdest films ever conceived and one of the finest ever adaptations of a book onto the big screen. In capturing a seemingly impossible world that resides inside the mind of Hunter S.

Thompson, director Terry Gilliam has given us a masterpiece that is worthy of repeated viewing. Starring Johhny Depp as Raoul Duke, a writer, and Benicio Del Toro as his lawyer, Dr. Gonzo, the story follows Duke and Gonzo from Los Angeles to Las Vegas.

They travel to Vegas under the pretense of working on a story but instead spend most of their time struggling in a drug induced haze to maintain a basic level of functionality. They seem to alternate periods of uncontrollable intoxication while one or the other usually manages to keep just enough awareness to avoid the destruction that the other seems intent on causing.

In the end they narrowly avoid disaster and end their trip heading in separate directions. The Criterion Collection edition of this movie is a 2 disc DVD with a number of special features including artwork by illustrator Ralph Steadman and a couple documentaries about Hunter S.

Thompson.

I only recently discovered of this american classic about drug use and the “american way” in a way youve never seen. When i fist saw this i could barely understand it now i wish i could live by it. The dvd itself(picture) looks very nice, slightly touched up and sharper than the original dvd version in my opinion.

The extras dvd is my favorite feature besides the movie itself which has a documentary style short movie about Hunter thompson himself the star of FEAR AND LOATHING. It really lets you see how well they captured his attitude and way of life.

Overall a good movie to watch for most people who are not afraid of a little drug use in their movies. Lets you see one of the many sides of american freedom.

on the opening week of this release in theatres, the critics nearly massacred the work much to my disbelief. thank goodness this brilliant work of genius terry gilliam & hunter thompson has managed to have an incredible shelf life in the video media world.

criterion has even gone so far as to release an incredible set for serious fans of the film to re-experience. needless to say, it looks fantastic & is definitely a great investment. this is, by far, johnny depp’s most bizarre yet versatile role & everything else could almost pale in comparison.

you won’t even remember edward scissorhands or the tv show 21 jump street after watching this. fear & loathing excels in being disturbing, frightening, & hilarious all at once. one is never certain whether they should be panicky or trembling with laughter.

This Academy Award winner for Best Movie was a surprise since there were many excellent contenders in that category, not to mention this one won many awards in other categories. In my opinion, the theme is somewhat obtuse depending on one’s socioeconomic perspective.

It is a very engaging DVD that kept all of us on the edge of our seats.

Loved it, but I love these kind of films. Subtitles do not bother me. Another good one is the ‘Handmadian’ not to be confused with Handmaids Tale. Love twists and turns that keep you on your toes!

This movie is pretty good I wasnt sure what it was about but after seeing it I really liked it. The story is good, the acting is great and the visuals are amazing. Actually a friend online recommended this movie to me so thats how I saw it.

This movie is basically twilight but with angles and a better actress. The only thing I have to nit pick about this film is that it leaves a cliffhanger so not sure if they are going to make the next three movies I hope they do I want to know what happens.

But other than that its a good and enjoyable film. If you have not seen this movie then I recommend you do. This movie is cinematastic.

If you are a fan of Twilight I believe you will enjoy this movie, if you lower your expectations. It is intriguing but you should be prepared for shallow character development and obvious plot similarities with Twilight.

It was entertaining movie. Had trouble understanding it at first. Then as the movie went on, I got it.makes you stop and think. Received fast, like the characters all where new to me. Liked it a lot.

This turkey begins on mythical Paradise Island, where the exclusively female population speaks in an accent straight out of Rocky and Bullwinkle. Strangely enough, it’s the same Boris and Natasha accent the German characters affect later in the film, although none of the actors seem able to maintain it long enough to complete their lines.

Gal Godot, in particular, wanders in and out of her Amazon accent literally phrase to phrase. Paradise Island is like an old Italian Hercules movie minus the oiled musculatures of 60s bodybuilders. Despite the complete absence of men, the inhabitants spend all of their time beating each other up and perfecting their beach bunny presentations.

The constant combat training is more reminiscent of cheerleading routines than anything else and, just as with Steve Reeves, seems to be merely an excuse to showcase the pectorals and glutes of the actors.

Although there are some fine actors in this film (David Thewlis, Danny Huston, and Lucy Davis account entirely for the two stars in my rating) their performances seem out of place and serve only to draw attention to the drab and lackluster performances of everyone else.

As for the plot, the guiding principle seems to have been to draw entirely on the most tired, overused, and abused clichés that could be found and, to the filmmakers’ credit, they were diligent in their research.

Chris Pine’s performance put me in mind of a cut-rate Ryan Reynolds, if Reynolds were stripped of even his trademark reliance on stupid puns and cheesy jokes. Gal Godot’s performance is best judged against the fact that she actually was, in real life, an Israel Defense Forces combat instructor, yet still fought onscreen as if she should have had pom pons instead of her shield and lasso.

To be fair, it’s probably hard to look bad to the bone when your true inner warrior is laughing hysterically at what you’re being directed to do but, hey, that’s why they call it acting. Academy award nomination for Elena Anaya who managed to convincingly play the evil mastermind Dr.

Maru even with buttercream cake icing layered over half her face. Seriously, was a plastic mask not in the budget? I mean, how are we suposed to believe that the frosting, or clown makeup, or whatever it was blew off the way it did on the runway? If you really want to indulge in the comic book fantasy of a woman who can beat men up dozens at a time, watch Atomic Blonde.

It’s no more believable, but it’s quite stylish and entertaining. I’ve watched it six or seven times, while the only reason I even finished Wonder Woman was that it ticked me off enough that I wanted to give it a bad review.

WonderWomanOneMovieReview I write this after 4 months of numerous viewings of this STILL excellent film. I even wrote it after recently watching the also excellent sequel, WW1984! Wonder Woman One is an exceptional Origin Film that is unique in its use of the exceptional fine actors Gal Godot and Chris Pine together with their great chemistry! And the cinematography — even the CGI — is superb in this film.

The other characters in this Origin Film are enthralling, too! I loved this updating of a much older iconic TV series Wonder Woman featuring Linda Carter! Patty Jenkins’ love of this film project really comes through in her movie-making expertise.

I can’t believe the incredible amount of enjoyment owning this WW One DVD provides me! This film is so well done in all the different aspects movie-making and movie-viewing that exist!! I own over 200 DVD’s and Wonder Woman One is in my Top 10!.

Up to this point, I had watched all of the DCEU movies and have been entertained, but not particularly impressed. When I walked away from Batman V Superman, Wonder Woman was without a doubt the best part and I had hopes for her solo film.

After Suicide Squad, my hopes were lessened, but still present. After seeing the film twice I can confidently say it is one of, if not the greatest super hero movies ever made. Wonder Woman is a very focused and purposeful superhero movie.

There isn’t a single scene that feels like filler and you can tell Patty Jenkins knows exactly what kind of story she wants to tell. The film balances action and adventure with social commentary very well and is almost flawlessly executed.

The setting in 1918 puts us in a time when women were on the verge of revolution, and the presence of Diana clashing with patriarchal ideals is not only historically logical, but elevates the film to a modern allegory.

It’s one of those movies that follows superhero tropes and Joseph Campbell’s heroes journey, but keep things fresh so it never once feels derivative. Gal Gadot is absolutely fantastic and gives one of most sincere superhero performances ever captured on film.

She is able to communicate her characters thoughts and emotions without words, she has a powerful and commanding presence, she is elegant and intellectual, she is witty and clever. But at this point in her life she is also naïve and does not understand the world as much as she thinks she does.

You can see a clear distinction between the way she carries herself in Batman V Superman compared to Wonder Woman, further showcasing Gal Gadot’s subtle and dedicated performance. In this movie, she is still relatively young and must learn a valuable lessons that mankind can be good and that evil does not come from only one source.

A very powerful and inspiring message, especially in these troubled times. It was very smart to not cast an American actress or make Gal change her accent. She is a Greek Goddess and should not be a “girl next door” type.

This is one of the most serendipitous casting decisions ever made, she was born to play Wonder Woman. I am not a big superhero fan, but the second time I saw this movie it effected me just like when I returned to see Star Wars or Lord of the Rings.

I found myself tearing up during a few scenes because we have never seen a woman with this kind of power on film before. After her scene in No Man’s Land, the audience in my theater clapped and then when the people in the movie clapped for her, the audience clapped AGAIN! Something that just doesn’t happen at the movies anymore, unless it’s a franchise with 40 years of films like Star Wars.

This movie is exactly what modern audiences are looking for and it is 100% satisfying. Wonder Women will go down in history with The Dark Knight and Spider-Man 2 as one of the best and most culturally significant superhero movies ever.

This is a game changer for the DCEU because they have now made a film better than EVERY MCU movie. The bar has been raised for all superhero studios. Wonder Woman is essential viewing for not only superhero fans, but film buffs and fans of the action epic.

The first time I saw the movie, I had very few qualms, and most of those are no longer issues to me. All of them were little things like “I wish we could see this”, “a little too much CGI at the end”.

Any and all issues with the film is not the movies problem and is simply a matter of personal taste because it is a near perfect movie. There are no objectively bad executions with the movie like there were with the previous DCEU films.

If you don’t like it, then that is without a doubt your problem, because as a lover of films and not superhero’s, it’s near perfect film-making and I will not be surprised if this gets nominated for Oscars, it deserves them.

As a man, I am not only proud to have a Wonder Woman to look up to, but proud to see that Hollywood has made such a landmark achievement in women’s film history.

Not great cinema but a vampire double feature for great laughs. Only George Hamilton can pull off a matinee idol Count Dracula who is a handsome lady killer. Lauren Hutton and a very young Jim Carrey are well cast as the wanton virgin seeking Vampire and her naive young man seeking his first sexual experience.

Much like the Easy Money/Men at Work collection I found this to be a mixed bag of movies with one being far superior to the other. While Once Bitten is ok it’s nothing really spectacular I like Jim Carrey in it and I did enjoy it but it just doesn’t care to Love at First Bite.

Love at First Bite is a movie I’ve loved ever since my mom first showed me it on cable one night many years ago and after that I spent a long time looking through local used media stores searching for a copy of the than rare Love at First Bite DVD.

I eventually did find it but it took some time but I was happy to have it. But when I saw Scream Factory had released it on Blu Ray it was only a matter of time before I picked it up again. I’ve always enjoyed the monster movie parodies whether it’s this, Mel Brooks Young Frankenstein, or Leslie Nielsens Love at First Bite.

All in all Love at First Bite is one of the funniest movies I’ve seen in my lifetime and I can’t praise it enough.

better quality then the dvd releases but not by much to be honest. If your a Bluray collector and need to upgrade then go for it! If your expecting pristine sound and quality then not so much, but I recommend owning both films for sure/.

Set in the Great Depression, after their parents’ deaths, Sonora and her younger sister are sent to live with an aunt. Sonora’s stubborn nature and pride get her into enough trouble that her aunt decides that she can’t handle the responsibility of raising her any longer and plans to give custody of her niece to the state.

Sonora runs away and finds Dr. Carver and his diving horse show that she read about in the paper, determined to join the show and, one day, be a diving girl, herself. Based on a true story. I loved this movie as a kid and I still love it as an adult.

Definitely one of Disney’s better movies.

This is one of my favorite movies of all time. I used to watch it as a kid but I’ve gotten even more out of it as an adult. The characters are believable and you end up falling in love with all of them.

I especially love that is based on a true story and all the main characters were real people. Go ahead and buy it! You’ll be so happy you did:-).

Interesting true tale of a young girl struggling to grow up. The story follows Sonora during the Depression era. An orphan, her aunt is about to turn her over to the state when she decides to run away and join the circus instead.

Her dream is to become a “diving girl. ” The stunt she eventually gets trained to do involves jumping of a high platform on horseback into a pool of water. Sonora is stubborn, but eventually grows up falls in love, and learns to face a tragedy in her life head on.

Overall a fascinating story. On the more technical side the acting was weak in places, however a younger audience would not notice the slightly exaggerated acting. I found my film class of 13 year olds were quite disturbed by the age difference between Sonora (perhaps 14 or 15) and her love Al (20s).

Great movie, I definitely recommend. Best Buy usually has the best deals for buying movies, especially if it’s a Blu-ray one. I know this movie is just a dvd but I’ve purchased a lot of movies from Best Buy and they are always at great prices.

I also haven’t had a problem with any of the dvd or Blu-ray discs I’ve purchased in the past. If you like this movie and the type of genre this is I would also recommend purchasing a movie called love actually.

It is really good, you won’t be disappointed.

Starring Channing Tatum, Rachel McAdams, and Jessica Lange, giving excellent performances, “The Vow” is beautifully directed by Michael Sucsy. It is the story of Paige (Rachel McAdams) and Leo (Channing Tatum), a young, newly married couple.

They are faced with a catastrophic turn of events when Paige is involved in an automobile accident, rendering her comatose. When she emerges from the coma, Paige experiences severe memory loss, including her past with Leo.

Leo is devastated, and exerts heroic efforts to reignite Paige’s memory of the deep love they shared. This film would make a great “date” movie, as it will capture your heart, with its enduring message of how love transcends all.

This is a great chick flick but also a guy, flick, anything can happen to your wife or girlfriend at anytime, and there are no guarantees. it is what kind of person are you? Are you the long haul person, or throw my hands up in the air, and quit? This is what happens in this film.

a n accident leaves his newlywed wife with the last five years of her life gone, and her controlling parents see a chance to reshape her life, through lies and make believe they convince her to leave her husband and come home! Through it all, he never tells her the truth about her parents or her sister, who is also a co-conspirator, and when she finallyu learns the truth about her parents and what is happening–well, that is where you will have to watch the film.

at the end of the film, you will also see the real life family this happened to, and see a picture of their two children. And learn the real family this happened to, she never regained those missing five years.

Judy Garland and Robert Goulet lend their voices to the main two cats, Mewsette and Jaune Tom, so this is filled with wonderful musical numbers. While not as famous as the Disney’s Aristocats, I think it stands just as strong and should be in the home of everyone who loves a good classic cartoon with great animation and fantastic music.

It depicts Paris beautifully in its plot of a poor country cat wanting to go to Paris and be rich. It even has a small segment in the middle honoring a few famous artists such as Claude Monet, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Georges Seurat, Henri Rousseau, Amedeo Modigliani, Vincent van Gogh, Edgar Degas, Auguste Renoir, Paul Cézanne, Paul Gauguin and Pablo Picasso.

Over-all it is well done and well worth adding to your cartoon collection either for yourself or for your children.

The movie was released in 1967, two years before actress and voice talent Judy Garland passed on. It has some of the greats for the time, like Robert Goulet, and Ted Buttons to name a couple. Personally I love the characters, I love the artwork, and the story behind it.

Like the Wizard of Oz this animated movie is an ageless, timeless movie that all ages can enjoy.

This is truly a classic animation done in colors of the atomic age; the music/ voices are from great actors of the time; in short it is an excellent time capsule to be enjoyed again and again. The print is good as is the sound track.

I absolutely love this movie. I can’t say enough about the positive, fun, and life-affirming message. Rebel Wilson is such an underrated talent. She’s one of my favorite actresses working in Hollywood right now.

She can’t really do wrong in my eyes! The DVD itself is of good quality and fairly priced. I have watched it with no problems on several occasions. Definitely recommended!! Two thumbs up!.

Wow! Works equally well as a romantic comedy, and a rom-com parody. Rebel Wilson shines. The karaoke number alone is worth the price of the DVD.

This movie is horrible. I couldn’t even finish it because it was so bad. I gave it a 2 star because it has good actors but the storyline was terrible.

It Shows the daily struggles of transgender persons and the dishonesty of women whom do not tell the real fathers of their pregnancy and the child borned. The movie is about a 17 year old boy whom was molested by the stepfather while growwing up and chose the wrong path after his mother dies.

The boy chose the streets to suvive in this cruel world. The man chose to cross over into the wonderful world of female harmones. I’ll never understand it but this movie allows me to see the pain and fustration of what one goes through.

I have a cousin that has had the surgery and I try to understand why men want to be women(peiods and all) A real woman can either be a female or a lady. These people see the glamour of ladyship and not the sweat and blood that women have endured over the last centuries.

They see the sissyness of wearing dresses and ect. and yet act so ladylike as if though in pretense. This character has no father instincts at all. I loved the movie.

This movie screams for a sequel. Felicity Huffman plays a difficult, often socially disdained role but comes out smelling like a rose! One cannot help but sympathize (or even fall in love) with the character, “Bree Osborne,” as she struggles for identity.

What is eye-opening is that the secret plight of transexual individuals is revealed as the movie unfolds. Kevin Zegers, Fionnula Flanigan, Burt Young, Elisabeth Pena and Graham Greene all add to the icing on the cake in their various supporting roles.

Music by David Mansfield adds just the right touch. A few of the scenes can be jarring to the unprepared viewer but they are necessary to strengthen the role that Huffman plays. There’s subtle comedy mixed with bites of drama throughout giving it just the right balance.

Huffman is magnificent because she is a genuine woman playing the role of a man who is undergoing the final stages of the metamorphosis into a woman. Nothing less can be said about the special voice Huffman developed and uses consistently to support her role; it took tremendous effort! Noticeably, a low budget movie but it still earns five stars!.

Finally, a motion picture that captures the inner feelings of a transgendered person and the lives that change with the transformation. Felicity Huffman captured the essence of the male-to-female crossover with charm, elegance and respect.

Not a cheap shot at the transgendered populace, TransAmerica also shows, in a time-compressed manner, the change that family sometimes goes through, once the “secret” is out. We see the social engendered transformation to the end of the film.

It deserved more than just a handful of award nominations last year (2008). Every family who has a transgendered person within should see this movie, then embrace that person for the courage to make the transition, rather than suffer in silence and encumber further silent sadness.

It had a great story. It told how men take advantage of lonely women to get to their children. It also was about true friendship. It told how a teenager had a baby and come out on top making a name for herself.

Sweet and heart warming story with an entertaining group of characters. A bit unconventional but still with a lot of heart and humor.

This is my favorite movie! It made an instant star out of Natalie Portman! I love it! I’ll order it on Blu-Ray when it becomes available.

FIVE STARS?!?!!? You gotta be KIDDING me!!! right? Hey, remember this is the guy who loved the live action GI Joe movie, go figure. So the USA are sick of getting their agents captured all of the time, apparently they act too “agenty” and the bad guys can spot them a mile off, so somebody has a great idea.

Recruit some bad boys and let them be agents, that way the evil foreigners will never figure them out. So along comes Xander Cage (Vin Diesel) an extreme sports athlete who loves his parachuting, snowboarding and other dangerous and illegal pursuits.

He is “recruited” by Agent Gibbons (Sam Jackson) in the usual “work for the government and we will wipe your record away” kinda deal. As far as the rest of the plot goes, it’s simple. Bad guys have a weapon and the good guys must infiltrate the gang and stop them from using said weapon.

It’s not Shakespeare, it’s a Vin Diesel action flick. He blows stuff up while making wise cracks, grabbing the girl and saving the world along the way. You take your brain out before watching, it’s as simple as that.

There are some AMAZING stunts in this movie, and I mean AMAZING stunts, plus enough explosions to make Michael Bay jealous. If you want a non stop action movie, you really can’t go wrong with this. It’s like an American version of the James Bond movies, but without any subtlety at all.

Fun, Fun, FUN!!!.

I recently saw both movies and I must say that the original was DEFINITELY BETTER! Vin Diesel’s character Xander is a bad boy thrillseeker who is “recruited” by Samuel L. Jackson’s character to get info on a Russian terrorist group called Anarchy 99.

During which, Xander ends up going from getting info to actually taking these guys on using many of the skating, snowboarding and brawling skills he already knew! Xander is actually a funny character at times, funnier than the Stone character that Ice Cube played in the second XXX.

The plot, while paper thin, is a bit better than in the second film too. Plus, the stunts are a BIT more believable than in the second film. This is a good way to spend an hour and a half if you have that to waste.

While I am more of an Ice Cube fan than Vin Diesel, Diesel’s version is definitely the better film. I’d rent it or get it at a reduced price.

This is indeed an average version of the film for one reason. It’s not the unlimate cut that was released on DVD. Blu-brothers should have gotten this in blu and not the PG13 version. I bought the film simply for the blu-ray at $9.

I had not great expections. I wasn’t pleasantly surprised as I got exactly as expected.

the movie itself is nice. it was a little sad but that’s coming from a couple of adults that lost their fathers to cancer, watching a movie about two brothers trying to have a second chance to see their father that died of some disease.

I had to order this dvd/blueray twice now. the first time the blueray copy had a defect that would skip a few minuets of the movie. I returned that copy and bought another. this time the case of this movie and the other two i ordered came in smashed.

trying to watch the blueray atm to be sure it doesn’t skip. not sure if it’s worth trying to order it a third time or trying to use another case. the other two places i order movies/anime from send their disks in boxes but for some reason walmart sends theirs in a bag.

This movie came out pretty much the week the COVID pandemic began in 2020 so it kind of got caught up in all that. I liked it. Tom Holland and Chris Pratt? Yes please! Also thought it was pretty funny with a poignant message and some emotional moments too.

I was enraptured from the first sentence spoken, my kid and I loved the movie very much. Was in theaters when pandemic started so couldn’t get out to see it, finally got the blu-ray for Christmas and we were absolutely blown away.

We laughed, I cried some, loved the easter eggs. I loved it enough to play it twice and still consider a third very soon to see what other references I missed. Barley and Ian drove their van into my heart.

This a very good movie. It tells the story of a donkey named Bo who runs away from a mill where he is not happy. He meets Ruth the sheep and Dave the dove as well as some other animals. They follow the star and end up becoming a part of the greatest story ever told, the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!!! Enjoy this movie with your children and teach them the real meaning of Christmas!!!.

This movie is amazing! We love the creativity of the story of Christmas being told through the perspective of the manger animals. The characters are captivating and fun. There are several funny lines and scenes without being disrespectful to the sanctity of the story or campy.

A must for Christmas movies!.

An adorable animated film told from a donkey’s point of view regarding the Nativity. Beautiful animation, lovely storyline, and great voice actors. A wonderful family film.
