Ordered late Monday evening arrived perfectly wrapped the following day! Feels very light yet very sturdy and holds my brand new ipad securely. Connected to my Bluetooth with ease and powers down the iPad when closed.

The case does not add any real noticeable weight to the iPad. Ive had it less than a day however – Excellent early impressions!.

Also makes a wonderful stand for the ipad when Skypeing. Also a good product especially for fat fingered people who find the iPad mini virtual keyboard difficult.

Don’t normally write reviews but I my iPad was the best thing I bought and now this keyboard is the second best. It’s so light and easy to carry and the colour matches the back of the iPad so it looks literally like a mini MacBook.

However, they should make a tiny portable mouse to come with it or as an extra which would be good. Other than that deffo recommend 100%.

This is a great keyboard. The buttons feel good, and the actual magnetic gripper/stand is really solid. Makes the iPad really safe to use, and it looks smart. Would definitely recommend this product.

My school gives all of us students these keyboards for our school IPads. They work really well. The keys are easy to press, and they don’t get stuck or jammed. I would recommend this keyboard to anyone looking to type within a broader space, instead of a little screen.

I have always loved the size and functionality of this case. That explains why I have bought probably 4-5 over the past few years. They are inexpensive, so if they lasted a year or so, no big deal. But my most recent one is a complete failure.

Without exception, the hinge fails on these cases, but my latest one lasted barely 2 months before getting all wonky. Its the last straw. Zagg. you should be ashamed. I was traveling when I ordered my last one and neglected to register it.

I was unable to locate a phone number to speak with an actual person at Zagg, and the website is not user friendly. Never again. Ill try something different this time. Potential buyers: you have been warned.

This is the 3rd ZAGG Folio iPad case Ive owned over the past several years. The keyboard is nice to have for typing messages (especially if you tend to fat-finger, like me, lol), or just searching for something online.

The battery life of the keyboard is great and lasts quite a while; hardly has to be charged (Id say one charge will usually last me a few months). The only downfall with this case is that, depending on how often you use it, all the opening/closing will eventually wear out the spine and it will start to come apart in the middle, where it folds.

So, I usually just try to be careful when opening and closing it. Then, when its time for another one, I come back and buy another one (hence, why Im on my 3rd one, haha).

This item at first glimpse, had great potential but ultimately it failed miserably. Ive owned other ZAGG products, Bluetooth keyboard cases. They all looked like winners but simply didnt last long at all.

The hinges were/are always the weak link. Always. My first one lasted only 3-4 months. The most recent one, the subject of this review, lasted 4 weeks before breaking off. I hated that it didnt last because the keyboard is exceptional! I have no complaints about how it pairs up and functions.

ZAGG has a daunting task ahead of them, $90 – $100 keyboard should not break. I can suggest many ways to strengthen and solidify the hing issues but not with plastic. The current design is doomed by its nature.

There are better ways – and I would pay the price!.

I had read a number of good reviews of this case on other sites, so I took a chance and ordered it, since Walmart had the best price. I guess I should have heeded the advice my great-grandmother always gave: “You get what you pay for.

” The case is indeed lightweight. I was warned before I bought it that a) the materials were (of course) not real leather or anything of the sort, and b) this case isn’t really meant to protect your device.

I was prepared for (and okay with) that. However, I wasn’t prepared for my iPad 3 Mini to not actually FIT in the case. There is a hard (plastic, I think) housing that the device is supposed to click into, but the housing is too small and one edge always pops out.

The device does stay in the housing somehow, but it’s clearly not secure and I don’t trust it. The keyboard itself is very flimsy. I can live with that, considering the price of this case/keyboard combo, but what I can’t live with is the fact that because the keyboard is so small the apostrophe and quotation mark keys are tied to the Function key.

In other words, you have to purposefully hit Function + ‘ if you want to type an apostrophe. You won’t have any idea how often you use contractions until you’re having to stop and think to type I’m, I’ve, he’s, you’re, etc.

It’s maddening. I’ve owned the product now for 10 days and I use the keyboard frequently to write blog entries, but I’m still not used to it. Pairing up the Bluetooth was a breeze, though. Make sure the keyboard is charged, turn it on (the blue power light glows briefly), click the button to pair and then find your keyboard in your device’s Bluetooth settings.

I had no issues. Despite the quirks, this would be a fine little case for the money (and I would have given it a higher rating) if not for the issue of fit. My recommendation would be to spend $10 more and get yourself a better case, because you DO get what you paid for.

In this case — not much.

I bought the purple version of this product (case with keyboard) for my iPad mini2. THE TABLET WILL NOT HOLD IN PLACE – IT JUST FALLS OUT!!!! I requested an RMA and after several responses from Finite to just keep trying and sending me another identical one that also would not hold the tablet they still won’t issue a RMA.

I simply want to return the defective products and get my money back but they continue to only say “keep trying”. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT UNLESS YOU WANT TO WASTE A TON OF TIME AND MONEY. FINITE IS NOT PROVIDING A RESOLUTION TO THE PROBEM AND WALMART’s policy is that you’re on your own when you order through the Walmart “marketplace”.

Have all my emails from Finite to view. At this point I had to call my credit card co to start the dispute process to get my credit.

The keyboard sits nicely on the cover and doesn’t move once placed. The cover is well made and seems strong enough to last for a long time. Nothing flimsy about this case at all. Love the houndstooth pattern.

I researched covers for a long time and am very happy I got this one. The keyboard is a cinch to pair with the iPad mini 2 I have. Charge holds for two months while not in use. Easy to maneuver into each possible position.

The keyboard is tiny. Easy to use and I have big fingers. I prefer it to picking out the letters on the iPad mini. I am fast on my phone, but not my iPad. Happy to use my iTouch screen and keyboard combo.

I am thrilled to have this and not have to worry about the cat stepping on in it or my husband dropping crumbs on it. It stays clean and is protected. And the sale price is outstanding!.

At less than 1/10 the MSRP it is more than I could ask for. I have gotten 2 of these, the first was taken by a friend because he could not believe how handy it is. Everyone at work thought he got a minicomputer for Christmas.

Both units have a very small dent that does not affect the function at all, did not notice this until looking very very hard. This keyboard makes the iPad a more useful item, if that is possible, and has added a new level of protection as well.

I measured my hand-me-down iPad and figured this would fit (as the header says “iPad 2/3/4”); it does fit, thank God! Have only used it a few weeks, but I knew Kensington was a trusted brand name (for me).

The keyboard is a bit small for my large/thick-fingered hands, but then so is the iPad to which its dimensions conform. For me, it is much preferable to the ‘virtual’ keyboard on the iPad which I still sometimes use, though I do sometimes wish it had a fold-over cover so that when the keyboard is folded back to use the iPad as a tablet alone no pressure would be inadvertently applied on the keys themselves.

However, presumably, Kensington has designed this into the lasting qualities of this keyboard. Would also have liked to see a better means of keeping the keyboard in place in the case. It has slipped out twice so that I am concerned it may slip out only to break in the fall! The tactile feel of the keyboard is Kensington quality as anticipated and fine for my use.

Have not yet written pages & pages of text, but I think it should be quite reasonably done, though the keyboard does take some getting used to having gotten used to using a Microsoft Natural Keyboard for a few decades now! Have not dropped the iPad in the Case from more than the distance of my lap to a carpeted floor on its edge, but it did survive that so it may also actually provide helpful protection for drops unto hard flooring and perhaps from up higher.

The iPad2 is already great to use but this makes it much better. I purchased this for my wife who is a school teacher and needed the ability to type quickly. The onscreen keyboard is nice but when you can type as quickly as my wife can, this comes in handy.

Out of the box I had this up and running in under 5 minutes. The iPad2 slides perfectly into place and does not move. You can position the stand in many different angles of view. The Velcro that holds the stand in place is secure.

The keyboard is held in place with magnets and it is also strongly secured. There is also a Stylus pen holder which is nice if you use one. My wife does use one and it is convenient to have a holder (some other brand cases do not).

The keys are nice and my wife finds no problems using them. All the ports (charge, headphone jack and camera) on the iPad2 are easily accessible. The case does include a USB charging cable for the keyboard but does not include the wall outlet adapter.

They want you to use your iPad2 wall outlet to charge the keyboard. In theory that is good but if you use both all day and need to charge the iPad2 and the keyboard, your out of luck. I have a few wall adapters so I just gave one to my wife and it solves that problem.

The Good Points. -Not as expensive as other brands -When folded for transport, it is not bulky and is relatively light -Has an elastic Stylus Pen holder (where others do not) -Easy to sync Bluetooth keyboard to iPad2 -iPad2 fits into place with all ports easily available -Keys are easy to use -Strong Velcro to hold stand in place -Keyboard battery has lasted my two days before needing a charge The Bad Points.

-As far as I can tell you can only use this case in landscape mode and not portrait. -Does not include a wall adapter to charge the keyboard -Maybe not a bad point but worth mentioning. This is not a good “lap” case.

The Velcro holds the stand securely on a hard flat surface, but not so much on your lap. Other brands do better in that area. Much more good points than bad. If you are looking for a nice relatively inexpensive case, I would recommend this.

If you are looking for a military rugged type case, then this one will not do. This is great for teachers and professionals alike who need a keyboard but don’t have the need for a bulky laptop.

The Kensington Folio is absolutely beautiful and appears to be high quality and well constructed. The Camera Lens as well as all buttons, switches and openings are easily accessible and not obstructed by the case.

Things I would improve on… * One thing I don’t care for about this item is that the power light does not show when you’ve shut it off? * When you stand the iPad up in order for the IPad to “Attach” and have a little tilt to it then the keyboard has to be out of the folio.

* You cannot stand the IPad up Vertically only Horizontally as the slot for the IPad is fixed in one position. * Keyboard is not as secure in holder as I would feel confortable with. The keyboard is held by magnets so if bumped it can fall out when folded over to use just the IPad.

* Folio does not fasten shut IPad Problems with Keyboard * I’m sure it’s the IPad that doesn’t allow you to utilize the keyboard fully and not the fault of Kensignton but you’re jumping from keyboard to IPad for every little thing.

(i. e. , to “Send” you have to leave the keyboard and physically touch the send button. ).

This case/keyboard combo is barely larger than the Apple ipad minii case, yet it contains a fully functional QWERTY Bluetooth keyboard, The keyboard is separately charged and powered on, so the internal battery is not discharged when using the ipad in purely touch made.

A powerful magnetic strip attaches the ipad in place when you want to use it as a mini laptop with keyboard, yet pulls easily apart to stow. Magnetic closure on the case itself also provide auto power-on and power-off capability like many better non-keyboard cases like the Apple mini case.

The only thing that would make this better would be an illuminated keyboard, which of course would reduce the battery runtime on the keyboard. Ipad power is unaffected by the keyboard, so would remain as you already know it.

The exterior of the case is a hard protective shell with a curved lip which facilitates holding the ipad in tablet mode. The case is covered with a tight, tough fabric finish which is comfortable to hold and seems resistant to grime.

The case also provides a fair amount of protection to average the bumps and bruises of daily use. You should be able to get this on sale, and if so, don’t hesitate!.

I like the Logitech keyboard folio because of the features. You can type with the tablet flat or elevated. It charges quickly and the keyboard has a comfortable keypad. When you close the cover it also shuts the tablet off.

It comes with a mini usb charging wire. You can use the ipad’s camera with the folio on. My one complaint is that the plastic corners keep breaking. The tablet is secured to the folio with magnets on the bottom and plastic corners on the top.

The left corner has a flexible area that you can push to turn the tablet off without having to remove the folio. Over time the plastic corner cracks where the flexible area is, even if you never use that flexible area.

The next thing that happens is the other corner cracks. When this happens the tablet falls out of the folio. This is my third cover. I keep buying them because the features are so good. I have now made an effort to open the folio in the middle and not the corners.

Hopefully this will make the folio last longer.

I got my first one a couple of years ago for a Mini 2, when I thought a keyboard would come in handy, especially while traveling. Turned out I hardly used it, but I like the case and the weight has a good balance.

The last few months, however, the upper edges holding in the screen cracked, and so the Mini was constantly sliding down all the time. Got me a new one and it’s back to the way it should be.

This item is the same keyboard of which we purchased over 6 years ago. The keyboard itself is great and has perfect functionality. One issue all members of my family have found is, the intended iPad for use will be pulled out from the holder by the magnet that wakes the keyboard and iPad.

More that frustrating ! All in all, the keyboard was presented well, but lacking a serial number. I guess that is what you get if the item is refurbished. I will need to modify the iPad holding system / clamps, to permit a secure fit.

Keypad arrived earlier than expected. It looks and functions like a new one. Ive had it for 2 weeks and have not had any problems. Someone had posted that the charge time was only 2 days so I used the charger that came with my old keyboard and have only had to charge it once this week.

Since my iPhone and ipad need charged everyday, it would not be an inconvenience to charge the keyboard at the same time if I would have to. That would not be an issue for me. The price was great. I was expecting to pay twice that much.

It works as well as my old one that I killed my spraying Lysol on the keys and rubbing them too hard to get rid of any possible Covid-19 virus. I had it for about 5 years and it would probably still be working if not for that.

I didn’t think I would be one of those iPad owners who uses a keyboard and tries to do work. But I am one now. The thing is, the keyboard has to be decent, functional, instantly pairing, and have special buttons to do things on the iPad.

And this does have all that. Also, it’s pretty thick, with lots of padding. It bulks up the whole package, but definitely adds extra protection. Tested it out recently in a workplace environment – press a button on the keyboard, and the iPad springs to life.

I was typing comfortably and could do much more serious work on it if necessary. This is reassuring. Well designed product. Great keyboard with decent key travel. Well thought-out special keys (for getting back to ‘Home’ launcher, task switching, copy and paste, etc).

I’m impressed. Why one star off? Because the iPad slots into some plastic holders, and although it seems solid now I wonder how long this case will last. If it stops fitting in because the holders snap off, this will be pretty useless.

Just have to take care of this better – and when it’s all folded up, it offers admirable protection. All in all, recommended product (I tend to use my keyboards for long typing sessions, and get grumpy when there are poor or spongy keyboards: not a problem with this case!).

As most applications including Office applications are available for iPad and work very well I’ve been looking for a way to ditch the need to carry a laptop for study & assignments when studying. After a lot of looking round on the internet I came across the Brydge keyboards.

I had purchased a very cheap BT keyboard to see if it could be of any use at all and like the idea as I have big hands and can touch type. The shipping went very quickly and the packaging and keyboard are of a very high quality.

At first I was a little bit worried that the shims did not fit the iPad but following the instruction to squeeze these to size worked. The solution with the hinges is great to allow the freedom to remove the iPad for use in portrait but means that apps that have functions at the bottom of the screen (imessage, Facebook, etc.

) become difficult to get a response as your finger seems to miss as they are obscured by the keyboard. The cover is not of the same high quality but still very good, I would not be without it. The need for the cut outs in the Perspex plastic for the hinge make for some sharp edges and also round the headphone and charging socket.

On delivery there was some roughness in the edge where you open the iPad and keyboard but only very minor (probably a defect in the tool or removal from the tool). Still recommend to have it. When you are buying the keyboard and cover like me you are probably going to decide in for a penny in for a pound and buy the Leather sleeve.

This fit nicely and will protect both the keyboard and iPad when carrying though it is only a sleeve (no foam or anything to speak like many more expensive sleeves). I miss not having a small pocket on the outside for a pen and small note pad (ironic I realise).

Overall a pricey but classy product, I’m pleased and use it every day. I have big hands and can normally touch type. The unit is a little bit small for touch typing for me but reminds me in feel of Psions 5’s I’ve used in the past (although these were smaller still) for note taking.

I’m still going to try and do an assignment on it before the month is out! The iPad still seems to be in it’s bad ways of double typing after the keyboard has gone to sleep but this seems to be inherent with all iPads (check the web) and the latest update to the iOS (9.

2) seems to have addressed this with the predictive correction (which is a relief).

I was excited to see that Brydge had a keyboard case available for the iPad mini. They keyboard feels sturdy and holds the iPad with no worries. It matches the color of the iPad well and makes for a look like a mini MacBook.

I hit the ‘enter’ key a few times by mistake because they keys are much smaller than a regular sized keyboard, but that it to be expected with the size requirements. All that takes is some more practice with the keyboard.

They keys press down nicely, but I did find that the spacebar is squeaky when pressed. I tried all the other keys and they had no such sound. The squeak changes pitch as the space bar is pressed down from different spots on the key.

It is what made the different between 4 and 5 stars. I also found that because the iPad is held in place behind the body of the keyboard case, the very bottom of the screen is hard to touch with a finger.

This makes for dragging up from the bottom to access the quick access options drawer difficult. Brydge did a good job of including function keys that do most of what the quick access drawer does and that makes getting into the draw much more infrequent when using the keyboard.

A few other apps, like iMessage, have the text input field right down at the bottom of the screen so the same issue applies there too. Overall, I like the Brydge keyboard. It is perfect for the days when you don’t want to cary the laptop, but still need a slick looking way to type.

If not for the squeaky space bar, this product would be 100%.

It is an amazing keyboard for the iPad Mini (mine’s a Mini 4). The design is beautiful, functional and bulletproof. Pairing was simple and it connects instantly when I tap a key. Long battery life. It occasionally won’t function as a smart-cover.

I. e. , sometimes when I open/close it, the iPad turns on/off, sometimes not. I’m thinking this must have to do with me not exactly aligning the iPad in the grips so it closes flush with the keyboard, but I’m not sure.

My only complaint is a personal preference to be sure, but that is this: I NEED a dedicated Tab button. I know on a Mini-sized keyboard that decisions have to be made about what keys to make smaller or omit, but I really, REALLY wish that the Caps/Tab lock defaulted to Tab, then could be made to be a Caps lock by using the FN key, instead of the reverse that it actually is.

I basically have no use for a caps lock button–I use it once in a blue moon. But I do a lot of writing and doing the FN+Caps combination is cumbersome and annoying. If there were a way to switch that Tab/Caps key to always be Tab, via some update/rewrite of firmware or what have you, I would instantly switch the review to a full five stars.

Bottom line, I would buy it again if I needed to, and I will, when money allows, buy one for my iPad Pro too.

Bought this for my sister and she really enjoys it, but it was difficult to set up and the instructions from Logitech were subpar at best. I copied & pasted the instructions from Logitech’s website for this product below, in case anyone else has any issues with it.

Other than the paring issues, she says its functionality is great and the batteries last quite a while. 1. Go to Bluetooth settings. 2. If you see the name of Slim Folio, tap the “i” icon at the right side of it, then select “Forget this device” 3.

Completely restart your iPad. 4. From the Slim Folio Keyboard, press and hold the bluetooth button until you get a rapidly blinking light (this is paring mode). 5. Once the keyboard is in pairing mode, go back to the Bluetooth settings of your iPad.

When I first bought this item I was in love with it. The ease of the connection along with the responsive keyboard and the sturdiness of the case, or so I thought. I am late to the table for making a review as I have had it for a few years now.

However, after only several months of home use, the closed case with the ipad enclosed, fell onto my hardwood floor from an arm chair, so around a two feet drop. The case landed on the bottom edge. I didn’t immediately see the cracks but, after a couple of days a piece of the corner, on the end that hit the floor, fell off leaving almost the entire bottom right corner exposed and without protection or stability.

I called Best Buy and was told that wasn’t it covered any longer and sorry for my luck basically. I thought that as it was my fault that I dropped it then so be it. Except that the crack on this corner wasn’t the only damage.

I noticed two cracks in the top right corner of the case and had hoped that it would remain as just cracks. This brings me to the reason that I am now writing this, so sorry, long review, This past week a piece fell out of the other corner and the ipad will not stay in the case anymore.

Suggestions: -Make the case out of durable rubber, at least on the corners to protect others from experiencing what I have. OR; -Design the case in a better plastic that doesn’t crack as easily. AND; -Provide better customer service on a product that you sell to trusting customers, so that they will shop with you again and not feel cheated.

I was honestly shocked when I saw the cracks and I know that it wasn’t from any constant abuse as I am very careful with any of my electronics and I am the only person using it. I unfortunately now have to buy a better product in order to protect my ipad as this one now fails to keep my ipad from slipping out of the broken case.

The keyboard/case is great, but the online manual leaves out one important step to pair — it doesn’t mention to press the Enter key after entering digits from a pop up window to pair. It took me almost two hours doing different approaches and finally decided to press Enter after entering the digits — and then it paired.

My previous, multi-configurable backlit keyboard/case is good, except the battery only holds under three hours. I decided this keyboard/case is a great trade-off due to having replaceable batteries. The fabric covering over the keyboard’s shell and iPad holder shell makes the device more secure when holding the iPad in tablet mode, especially when I pass it to my wife to read an email.

This device is a little lighter than my other keyboard/case, which is needed for my 71 year-old arthritic hands. Even though the key spacing isn’t as a full-size keyboard, it does the job with proper key travel — and I am a touch typist for almost 60 years.

Besides the pairing issue, I would have rated this an easy 5.

This is a great protection device for my iPad. The fact that you can take photos/videos without taking it out of the protector is great. The Bluetooth connected keyboard turns my iPad into a mini laptop.

I have been using this for years. The swivel hinge finally broke. I bought another of the same kind because i like all the options for using the i-pad. I use it like a laptop, a tablet, and a zoom screen.

It can also be used for one-on-one FaceTime and in-person communication. The keyboard battery charger, charge indicator, and battery life are a little flaky on this one. Perhaps because of the shelf-life after manufacturing.

These things are the best tablet keyboard design you can buy at any price. Rugged, well built with backlit keys and rechargeble. but the best feature is the swivel design that allows you to use this to hold the tablet at any viewing angle, including backwards so you can lay in bed with the screen right up close in front of you.

There is just no better tablet holder for doing this out there, plus when you close the lid, it shuts off the tablet and completely covers and protects it. 5 stars!.

Imagine you’re in bed, with your shiny new keyboard case folded behind the iPad so you can easily hold the iPad and read a book. Now imagine your holding the iPad and accidentally bumping random keys on the keyboard during a very suspenseful part of the book, which changes the pages on your books, randomly starts playing music, etc.

Yeah, great experience. The power button is WAYYY too easy to press. And since it’s a button (on the keyboard) there’s no real way to make sure it stays off. Closest thing to it is turning off bluetooth, which I had to do this week while traveling.

Incredibly inconvenient. It’s a shame too, because the case itself feels nice, and the keys are really pleasant to use. My other comment is the lack of adjustability for the angle of the screen when typing.

I have been using this a week, and numerous times I wished I could very slightly adjust the angle. I found myself putting pads under the front to angle it back. I could live with that, honestly. But the continuing to lose my place on my book just because I’m HOLDING the iPad, nope.

Showstopper. Getting returned today.

I like this keyboard and use it daily. The size of the keys is good and for the most part placement of auxiliary keys is good except maybe for the arrow keys. I also frequently get confused as to which key to use in combination with the arrow keys to skip whole words or to the beginning/end of lines in word processing apps.

I did have an issue with it on initially trying to pair it to my iPad. Although my iPad recognized it in Bluetooth settings, when I tried connecting it, it never finished pairing. Then the keyboard got stuck being powered on and I couldn’t power it off.

I resolved the issue by plugging the keyboard in to power (even though it had sufficient battery). Once I did that, the keyboard seemed to reset itself and I was able to power it down, power it back on, and successfully pair it to my iPad.

This Zagg model is better than the upgraded version that has more protection, if performance is your priority. Because this Zagg had zero protection, and I knew that when I bought it. This is because I returned the other Zagg for performance issues.

It does NOT automatically become the default keyboard when going into Safari or texting. You must first hit the “on” button, and repeatedly hit the space bar to wake it up. Apple’s keyboard is the only brand that does not do this, but it does not hold onto the ipad safely (had to replace mine when it fell out).

I’ve had all that Best Buy sells, and they all do that. NOW, I charged my purchase with the Brydge keyboard, plus the extened warranty. When I exchanged for this keyboard, they would only give me a store credit.

I don’t get that. Why would they not credit my card????? I will eventually use the credit, and that will be it for Best Buy. I will look there and buy on Amazon going forward!!!!.

I would say, for the money, this is the best Zagg case for iPad I owned. I owned several ZAGG and other brands of case + keyboard, but this case is by far, the best combination of design, style, utility and ease of use.

The magnetic hinge that let’s you remove the iPad from the keyboard, while still keeping it safe in the case is ingenious. The previous models did not allow me to detach the iPad from the keyboard without having to take out the iPad from the case.

Of course, that is when I drop it on the floor and damage the iPad. The lesson here is that you never, ever want to take iPad out of protective case! So, this model let’s me keep it in the case, yet allows me to detach from the keyboard.

This is truly the best of both worlds. The design may be influenced by Microsoft Surface, which allows you to detach the type cover from the magnetic hinge, but I don’t personally care they they drew their inspirations, it just works.

My only request is that I would like a little more protection of iPad around the corners. I can see it happening already, if I accidentally drop the iPad with the plastic shell, iPad will probably sustain some damage.

It may even pop out of the plastic shell on impact. I hope I never have to find out, but from my past experience with similar designs, including ZAGG, that the drop from even 3 feet can sustain some damage.

I am wondering if I can have a more rugged design with better edge protection, similar to Otter or Balistic with rubberized edges, with the same magnetic hinge design.

I have an iPad Mini and had grown tired of typing on the screen. If you hold it in a position so you can see the screen when you are typing then you are pretty much hunt and peck typing. If you lay is down at an angle to type then it is difficult to see the screen.

Enter the Zagg. At first I was concerned about the small keyboard. I didn’t give my 70 year old fingers the credit they deserved for being able to adjust that easily. I am typing at the same speed I do on a full size keyboard.

The funny thing is, now when I go back to a full sized keyboard I make more errors than I do on the small keyboard, I think my fingers like not having to reach so far for letters. Built quality is great, everything works well.

Once I got it paired up with the iPad, every time I open it, things are ready to go. I get the feeling I will be using this keyboard for a long time, it is built that well. Maybe the one concern is, don’t try to pick up everything by the iPad when it is resting in the iPad holder on the keyboard.

I have already had it happen where the keyboard separates from the iPad. The keyboard fell to the soft chair I was sitting in so no problem, if it had been a hard surface the keyboard may have been damaged.

I like it and I think most people will.

I love this keyboard. It’s more like typing on a regular size keyboard. It turned my iPad into a miniature computer. I do not notice any backlight on the keyboard. It maintains a charge. I like that you can take the iPad off and still have some protection, although I don’t particularly like the hard shell case and would prefer the silicone.

All in all, it fits my needs. This keyboard is a mini, but the keys are not so close together and you don’t have to stop typing to find the space bar. I was a little worried, but glad I ordered this product.

I am officially a Zagg product junkie.

IM2ZKF-BB0 ZAGG FOLIO Ipad Mini Case & Keyboard with Backlit Purchased this for 1/2 retail on Ebay. Gave to 9 yr old boy and it is worth every penny. Be careful because there is many fake knockoffs and ZAGG also make several models that look the same but do not offer the same featuress.

The backlit keyboard is 3 level brightness. Has several color options by just a click of the button. The bluetooth is iffy at times for no reason. You can turn off and back on to fix but not sure if the ipad or Zagg is the real issue.

Ipad Mini 2 is the model I am using with the latest update as of 12-25-2017. Keyboard is easy press clicks and only improvement would be a touch mouse pad.

I had a Zagg before and after a couple years the hinge cracked. I ordered one for my Air2 and I like it except for one very annoying feature. The holes for volume control are wrong and it keeps putting the icon for volume in the middle of the screen when you are watching something.

I went on internet for a reason and many people said the same thing (not necessarily about zagg) that the volume button is getting touched by the case. It is true, if I pry it away from volume button the icon goes away.

Other than that I like the case very much – just don’t like being annoyed by icon in middle of screen and watching while pulling case away from button.

Everything is really good about this keyboard like the feature to have the keys light up and turn off after a while, its light weight, holds the ipad well, connects to the ipad super quickly. The actually part that holds the ipad holds it well but when you close the ipad the last little part is a bit difficult without the ipad falling out because the hinge is stiff but after a while it closes smoothly.

The keys are small but that is to be expected for an ipad mini but compared to other brands they are so much bigger. The switch to turn the keyboard on and off seems a bit cheap but its so small no one will even notice.

The only flaw i found in this product was that it didnt work if it wasnt plugged in to some other power outlet. I tried charging it for half a day and it still wouldnt work but that was easily solved by getting a small portable charger which for me isnt that much of a hassle because i usually always have one on me.

So this issue wasnt that much of a big deal for me. Overall this is a great product if you are looking for something cheap but very effective it gets its job done very well and im really happy with this product.

The ZAGG Folio lasts about 1. 5 years for me. At the current pricing it is fair since I really like my iPad AIR (1st Gen), and use it daily for entertainment and travel. I am currently on my 5th or 6th Folio, (over the past 9+ years), but have not found anything better that protects my iPad, works well with bluetooth, has great balance and looks great.

The issue with the Folio is that it breaks at the hinge and becomes totally useless. In daily use, the hinge lasts for about 1. 5 years at best.

This Zagg Key Pad works perfectly for my I Pad Air 1. I call it an Air 1 because it helps me clarify its Model. It was super easy to connect and started right up, because it came charged. Thanks. The IPad works perfectly.

I am a fast typist with many 30min talks to type up each week. This key pad is heavy enough, but not too heavy to stay in place on my knees as I speed along. Also, the back light is a nice added feature.

Previously, I used the Zagg keypad that fit my IPad, but have had to purchase 2 in the past because the hinge broke both times – (after at least 1 year use. ) I’m hoping this revised updated model will last much longer.

If your I Pad begins to act strangely, like not typing a letter anymore – charge up the Zagg – if that doesn’t work, get in a new one. 🙂 Its not the I Pad! Thank You ZAGG for making this product at a reasonable cost.

Love the keyboard folio for the iPad Mini 6th Generation. I received it and was curious how to sync it with my iPad Mini. I checked you tube for video pairing instructions. Didn’t see a video. Emailed Sahara and heard back pronto.

They gave me the instructions and it worked. Love it! The keyboard lights up beautifully and it’s a great add on to the device. Thanks Sahara Case!.

Needed a case as soon as possible when getting the new tablet. Did not want to take any chances with clumsy hands. This was the fast one I could get and overall I was not impressed. It did not seem like it has adequate protection and the keyboard set up and light combo was nothing special.

For the price it is crazy, there are higher quality, more color options and better protection case combos for a third of the price.

I have tried two other keyboards with my iPad mini 2, another Logitech design and the small Apple Keyboard. Both worked well but failed miserably when I was on the move. This keyboard has given my iPad mini a new lease of life.

I take it on all my trips as it connects together so easily and protects the glass at the same time. To use I just separate the the iPad from the keyboard which is held together magnetically and place the ipad in the viewing slot, either horizontally or vertically.

I can now work in a small footprint with a full qwerty keyboard which I became adept at using withing a few hours. The sync time to the ipad is immediate and if you turn the keyboard off the ipad recognises this and displays the digital keyboard.

The viewing slot has a very firm rotation which allows the iPad to be tilted for comfort. So far I have used it on a train from London to Leeds, a flight to Budapest, in Costa Coffee, the park, camping and while presenting a photography course.

I get the most use out having it as a desktop device that enables me to read ebook manauals on programming and system design with while using another computer. The keyboard is a very welcome add-on to the iPad that not just enables the iPad to be more user friendly and functional but compliments its light weight and slim design.

This is the second time I purchased this product, and in the same color. I purchsed a second one, because I gave it away. The quality of the keyboard is clean and smooth. keypads are very responsive.

No false types. The battery in my experience has lasted for well over 6. 5 hours. I have not used it continuously for more than that at one time. Standby has lated a whole week and a half for me. The case keeps the ipad nice and protected from edges and front.

They entire case with ipad is not bulky in any way. Keep in mind that part of the reason the case is very thin in my opinion, is due to the fact that the ipad can not be rotated to a protrait view. If you don’t need portrait view, this is the ipad mini case for you! By the way, this red color does not fade.

This keyboard is a beautiful colour and has a Mars Red fabric texture. I can’t buy the keyboard with these superior characteristics in Australia, but they are available on eBay in Britain for a very nice price with very reasonable shipping costs.

The keyboard, once set to “Italian” in “Hardware Keyboard” in iPad settings is just like any keyboard but with a few extra keys. The Ultrathin Keyboard holds the iPad mini at a good angle and allows the iPad to be used as a mini laptop.

It is just perfect! Whenever you are not using the iPad it just instantly folds away in this distinctive Mars Red case and is switched off automatically. I recommend it as a “must have” to anyone who owns an iPad mini.
