Iron is used to press fabric and remove wrinkles or creases in the fabric. This is important when sewing or quilting because it helps to create a smooth, flat surface to work on. Ironing also helps to set the stitches in the fabric, making them less likely to come undone.

This mini iron is great for ironing down small folds in fabric and for ironing down those folds in French Seams. Comes with three temperature settings & replaceable tip to use different tools. The hot knife tip is great for cutting and sealing nylon & vinyl.
I bought this a number of weeks ago. I did not read the description. As a result, I had no true idea of this item. Upon receipt, I was surprised. Its interesting looking. After reading, I believe it will help with my tiny ironing needs.
I have purchased a number of items with this brand, all of which were exactly what I expected and a good value. 3 stars only because I haven’t used it yet.
Look on Gogjle there is suggestions how to make this a tad safer. To protect yourself from hitting the hot shaft. And use a ceramic plate or ceramic plant drip tray for setting it on. I use a big ceramic dinner plate.
That stand is a JOKE dont use it!! Thats the only flaw I have with it. Its excellent to have next to my machine for ironing a quick quilt block seam. It is good for small area and small bursts. A large area its not good at.
I have a mini travel iron for that. But this makes it to where making things like a 9 patch block I dont have to keep going to the iron board. Getting up & down. Up and down. I have this beside my machine on a TV I added batting and a iron safe cover to.
That way I can press the seam real quick. The only attachments I find useful are the triangle ones. I like the large and small. Depending what size blocks Im making. The other attachments I find I dont use those.
I think this would work great making things like Barbie doll clothes and other small quick presses. BUT for the love of bacon alter that shaft or youll likely burn yourself! And DO NOT use that POS plastic stand that it comes with!!.
This portable mini iron is for crafting, sewing and quilting when at home or travelling. UL approved iron with digital control pad heats and holds temperature in minutes. Four iron head positions and ergonomic handle for comfort.
Integrated cord for power supply. And a flip down stand for when not in use. Lightweight design and four temperature settings. Iron measures 8×2-1/2x2in. Imported.
This is the handiest little iron. I sew a lot and it’s so nice not to have to drag out the large iron. This iron is perfect for pressing seams, touch ups and I read you can use it on vinyl. That will be the next project! It’s a great size for pressing doll clothes too! The iron has an adjustable handle so that it is comfortable for everyone to use.
It has a red light when the iron is plugged in. It has four heat settings and when the iron is heated to the chosen setting, the light quits blinking. It also has a retractable stand so it’s easy to sit down, adjust my fabric and continue on.
I would recommend this for anyone who sews! Perfect for quilters too!.
This mini iron is the convenience I never knew I needed. I wear a lot of hats, and this is perfect for restoring shape to my cotton newsboys. The lowest temperature setting was gentle enough for an heirloom baby gown.
My daughter is also into costume design for cosplay and such, so this is great for her work. The only thing missing (for me) is steam, but I just mist the cloth with a little water when needed.
The idea of having a portable iron that can get into small places, seems like a great little tool. I do like it, though the process of finding the right angle of the head adjustment so that it’s remotely ergonomic takes a bit of getting used to – it’s not intuitive.
I was concerned that I’d break it when I was working the adjustment. It’s all good now. Originally purchased to make protective masks, when I thought I wouldn’t be making that many. Later, I got into more of a production mode, and got out my bigger iron.
Still, am glad for this little workhorse for quick pressing. I can put a towel on my bathroom counter and use this for small touch ups. It’s a good height for my back, and I don’t have to get out the big ironing board.
The all-new Steamfast SF-760 Cordless Steam Iron gives you optimal maneuverability to get every wrinkle. With a 7 second re-heating time and 30 second usage time, you will be able to remove wrinkles quickly and freshen your fabrics without the use of harsh chemicals.
With a unique carrying case, this Steam Iron offers portability and is perfect for use at home and on the go. You can be confident that Steamfast products are built to perform, and are built to last.
So, as other reviewers have mentioned, the iron itself is indeed cordless, but the entire apparatus is not. The small, lightweight, easily maneuverable steam iron fits onto a base that plugs into a socket.
(The cord for the base is not long, so you must position your ironing board fairly close to a plug in order to make reheating the iron convenient. ) When you insert the iron into the base, it heats up incredibly quickly — literally in a few seconds.
The iron lights up with a red glow while it’s heating, and the light turns off when it’s reached the temperature you’ve chosen on the selector dial located on the iron. The iron is a pleasure to use while it’s hot.
The steam is nice and strong, and there’s both a steam burst lever and a spray mist lever to help create fine finishes. Here’s where the learning curve comes in: the iron doesn’t stay hot for very long.
When it starts to cool off (you’ll figure out the timing as you iron) you need to place it into the base again to reheat. I’ve experimented with linen napkins and cotton shirts. I can get most of a large napkin, open and flat, pressed, then need to heat the iron again in order to finish creating sharp folds.
For a shirt, I can press the collar on both sides, but need to heat the iron again in order to do the back placket, and again to do the sleeves, etc. To be absolutely fair, the amount of time the iron needs to be on the base to reheat is about the amount of time I need to maneuver the item I’m ironing.
The iron set comes with two accessories in addition to the iron and base — a small plastic cup to fill the water well in the iron to create steam, and a fairly bulky plastic carrying case that locks on to the base.
The case does help keep the iron clean and easy to lift, but it would have been efficient to include space for the little cup inside the case. Overall, this is a decent little iron. There are some features that I like — for example, if you leave the iron off the base, there’s no chance of it overheating, and as mentioned above, it’s a lightweight and efficient iron.
I can see how the iron, without a cord, would be useful for sewing projects and quilting.

re Rowena Steam force IRON DW 9280 NOTE the product information about features are true as stated on the box , but that is not the problem And, we have had Rowenta products for years, and is our “go to product’ but this one is different, and needs the companies attention, asap! They just need to replaced and discontinued from the company, as ours had problems.
ty 1 Our first one PURCHASED 4/7/2021 and returned 4/28/2021, because it was LEAKING water from the bottom “soleplate” 2 replacement 4/28/2021 did fine until early 12/2021 ,we had these issues: a. led light SUDDENLY was RAPID traveling IN A CIRCLE FROM ONE SETTING TO ANOTHER AND WOULD NOT STOP b.
by happen stance, holding IRON in hand tipping down and back, there is a metal plate rattling with motion c. in preparation to clean the sole heating plate, it was barely warm d. THE TEMPERATURE CONTROL DIAL ACTED LIKE IT WAS NOT CATCHING FOR EACH SETTINGS, AND IT WAS HARD TO MAKE IT CONNECT WITH A SETTING LOCATION e.
in turning on from the off position, THE FIRST TEMP SETTING WAS BYPASSED,AND SKIPPED TO THE 2ND position , AND WHEN A LOCATION WAS FOUND, AND YOU WERE DIRECTLY OVER IT, IT WOULD NOT LOCK ONTO THE SPECIFIC SETTING f.
after draining the water , and turning on to heat, there was a noise like a water pump trying to activate, AND WAS DRY g. before sending, there was a loud HUM inside the unit. THAT WAS NEW h. This iron is MUCH easier to take care for the cleaning and anti scaling.
Nothing to remove, and one item needs done every two weeks, the other once a month. IT is really SIMPLE and EASY to do 3. This unit sent in under warranty 12/7 and received they 12/8. The HOLIDAYS slowed things down, but I had to write a few emails to know the status, only to find PARTS ARE ORDERED.
Really, needs parts in less that 4 months. Something is wrong. Come on now, to HAVE TWO OF THEM BREAK DOWN AND the last one nearly 4 months, is a little too soon for problems. Replacing with parts is a band aide!.
THIS IRON NEEDS TO BE PULLED FROM THE MARKET cleaning kit for the sole plate or heating plate had a white and green towel DON’T WASH THEM TOGETHER THE GREEN TOWEL BLED ONTO THE WHITE TOWEL AN THE STAIN CAN NOT BE REMOVED !!!!!.
I bought this after purchasing the Oliso and though I love the Oliso, I have to be honest and go with the Rowenta for best performance. The Oliso is wonderful don’t get me wrong but I love the steam on this thing.
It’s great. If only it had the lift feature of the Oliso. It heats up quickly. It would have been helpful to have the reservoir in a clear color because it’s a bit difficult to see the water level thru the dark color.
But that 8n no way hinders the performance of this iron. I would not hesitate to purchase it. Oh and it’s quite a bit cheaper than the Oliso. Also I had to wait over 7 months for the Oliso and the rowenta was here in a matter of days.
That’s a big plus. I have a longarm in my basement so I just use the Oliso while I’m longarmimg and the Rowenta is used for piecing my quilts. You can never have too many irons, right. I do however have the LauraStar ironing system and nothing compares to that.
This is the 3rd Rowena Steamforce iron that I have bought in several years. I think this is a reasonably good iron – maybe as good as can be expected. I frequently iron my clothes before going to work or going out ore even wearing them at home.
Some of my friends find this laughable and archaic – saying no one irons anymore, but I like to iron because it is tangible, you can see the results immediately, and ironed clothes make me feel better.
I like the Steamforce but after about a year something the iron gives out – perhaps this is just the natural longevity of the device. One of them I dropped after having it less than a month – after this it started leaking (so I probably cracked the water reservoir) and it did not heat up – this was probably my fault, but I wish the water reservoir was not so fragile – since I think irons do get dropped.
Other irons get irreversibly contaminated with water scale, which dose not go away even with the self-cleaning feature. I think all irons do this, so I don’t want to pick on the Steamforce. I do find that when heated on the Cotton Setting and with the full steam on, this iron will lead when ironing erratically.
Every iron I have ever seen says it does not leak – but I think they all do – so again the Steamforce is just keeping up with the pack. The main thing I really like about Steamforce compared to other Rowenta modes is the “blast of steam” feature – this really seems to work.
I will keep buying the Steamforce until something better comes along.
Please pay with STRIPE. Our prefered payment provider. This may be the world’s smallest steam iron with a mighty ability to set crisp creases and remove wrinkles. The 420-watt SF-717 is strong enough for everyday use at home, yet lightweight and compact for taking along with you.
When trying to iron in and around pockets and pleats, the Steamfast SF-717 with its tiny non-stick soleplate, will get into places bigger irons can’t reach. If you travel, or if you simply need to touch up garments away from home, the SF-717 Mini Steam Iron is an ideal appliance.
Its 1. 4-ounce water capacity, quick 15-second heat-up time and three temperature settings make it great for quick touch-ups. It comes with a convenient travel bag and features dual voltage for overseas travel.

Black & Decker Allure Digital Pro Iron with Dynamic Steam Technology creates 30% more steam. The iron produces the most steam while in use for optimal wrinkle release. Powerful Steam Surge produces wrinkle-free results with vertical steam to remove wrinkles while cloths are still on the hanger.
Anti-drip feature prevents water drops while ironing. Comfort Grip Handle and ergonomic was designed for perfect balance and ease of use. Other key features include Auto Clean System, Stainless Steel Soleplate, Enhanced manual and quick start guide with time saving tips for optimal results, Easy fill water reservoir, and 1600 Watts of power.
This iron has a good weight and balance, and the steam features work great. It is easy to add water. The heat setting dial is hard to get to under the handle and it is very hard to read. The instructions say that it shuts off after so long, etc, but then the light keeps blinking – maybe to make you want to unplug it.
I added a power strip so I can turn the power on and off easier. Otherwise it’s a great iron for the price.
This is the best iron I’ve ever had and Im 57 yrs old and have had many. I looked for this iron for years after my old one went out and finally found it for a decent price. The steam is constant when its on its settings without pushing a steam button.
Simply the best!! Im thinking of buying another one and saving it for years down the line when this one goes out just in case they stop selling it. Black and Decker Allure. Awesome!!.
Bought September 2019. Died February 2021. Iron steam capabilities stopped suddenly today. Without the steam, the iron does not get as hot and is unusable. This iron is not dependable. It is heavy. We will be getting a different one.
We typically iron around once a week. So this iron lasted about 70 iron days.
Steam irons have been a staple of removing wrinkles from dress clothes for years however many are bulky and inefficiently designed. The Sharper Image SI-755 is sleek, simple and small with a mighty ability to set crisp creases and remove wrinkles.
It is strong enough for everyday use at home, yet lightweight and compact for taking along with you. If you travel, or if you simply need to touch up garments away from home, the SI-755 Dual Voltage Travel Iron is an ideal appliance.
This is a great little travel iron. I travel for business all over the U. S. and it fits perfect in my suitcase. I don not like to use hotel irons as I have had many shirt s ruined from them. Having my own iron that is small and portable that packs away is just right.
I really love this iron. It is great that it is a mini version. I love that I can pack it in a suitcase and take it anywhere without it taking up to much room or being very heavy. Even though it is small it still works so well, I can even stem my clothes with it.
Making it all I really need. I would definitely recommend to friends!.
This little iron packs a big punch! I travel for work sometimes and I don’t care for the hotel irons. This was great! It fit in perfectly and took the wrinkles right out! I would keep this only in my luggage, but I like using it at home too.
It’s great because it heats quickly and I can move it around easily.

Ceramic Sole Plate Cordless design allows for free movement and no cord snags. Curved, high-quality Ceramic-coated soleplate with durable, non-stick surface effectively distributes heat and glides smoothly over fabrics.
360-degree multi-directional capability for smooth ironing in any direction. Vertical steam feature de-wrinkles hanging garments. Power base features retractable cord reel and heat-resistant carrying case.
I hated to iron. Yet having to wear suits 6 days a week forced the need. I would get frustrated and it would take hours to iron an outfit. Then I bought this iron at an affordable price. It was a fantastic find.
I love how it gets around buttons and I can remove the tank to fill it. It does a great job steaming a garmet on the hanger as well. Hands down my favorite iron.
Great not having a cord. Over all this Iron is great. Due to it’s shape, it irons a little bit faster having two points. It steams evenly. Water capacity is good for its size. My only issue is it doesn’t hold onto a charge, but it also doesn’t take long for it to recharge.
That and eventually the battery will loose its ability to hold a charge over time, but that’s the nature of batteries. We don’t have a lot to iron, so this isn’t an issue and I like the being cordless.
But if someone has a lot of fabric in need of ironing, this might not be what you need.
I have worked with this iron for several months now. It is good quality but does not meet my needs. I wanted an iron without a cord to make it easier to iron large quilt tops without constantly battling the iron cord.
The cordless part works great but the iron does not get hot enough and it cools off quickly so you constantly have to put it back into the docking station to reheat. May work great for sporadic ironing but when I have to iron a lot at once, this iron just doesn’t do the trick.
CLOVERMini Iron. Set that big steaming iron aside Quilters and seamstresses everywhere will be reaching for this innovative tool Mini iron shape head on a lightweight easytocontrol handle is just right for seams.
This iron is also great for applique, quick bias techniques, tight spots, paper crafting and more. Iron features a convenient temperature control on the handle with an On Off switch, an 8ft/2. 44m UL listed E208128 electrical cord, easy glide sole plate 1.
25×7/8in, on/off indicator light and a 2x2in cloverleaf plastic stand with rubber sole feet and metal holder. Iron measures 9. 5in long by 1in diameter. Imported.
This mini iron is perfect for those moments where you just need a quick seam press next to the machine on a smaller project. I keep this and an ironing mat right next to my machine and keep the regular iron at a separate ironing station.
It’s made a difference in how often I’ve had to get up and switch stations. It was a little pricey in my opinion, but overall it’s been so convenient that it was worth it.
Works as intended. Great for paper piecing. Saves time using right at sewing machine. Keeping in a tall ceramic cup rather than using the “stand” it comes with makes it much easier to use and less chance of getting burned.
This little iron works really well. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 Star is because it is easy to burn yourself on it. It would help if they put a protective area so you can’t touch the stick. I accidentally grabbed it a few times while making my appliqué.
It is great for getting in to the small areas that the normal iron can’t do.
Product Description DRITZ-Petite Press Iron. This portable mini iron is for crafting, sewing and quilting when at home or travelling. UL approved iron with digital control pad heats and holds temperature in minutes.
Four iron head positions and ergonomic handle for comfort. Integrated cord for power supply. And a flip-down stand for when not in use. Lightweight design and four temperature settings. Iron measures 8×2.
5×2 inches. Cord is approximately 8 feet 9 inches.
I bought this a few years ago, and I actually use it on every single sewing project. It beats my larger iron, hands down, when it comes to pressing crisp seams. The sharp point and small plate make it easier to maneuver in small spaces and to press harder on the material, yielding much better results.
I can also just leave it near my sewing machine with my tailor’s ham, to quickly press a seam before the next step without having to go back and forth to the ironing board.
High Speed (1600 stitches per minute) straight stitch, aluminum body construction, heavy duty. Automatic thread cutter plus remote thread cutting switch, built-in needle threader, side loading metal bobbin, ergonomic knee lifter, Instruction Book in English/ Spanish/ French.
A presser foot sensor to prevent sewing with presser foot in the up position and nearly 9inch to right of the needle make this an ideal machine for quilt finishing. (Dust cover included).
Iron your clothes with precision with this Rowenta Focus Xcel Steam Iron. This versatile iron is designed with a special tip to remove creases and wrinkles on collars and other narrow spaces. Even steam distribution thanks to over 400 active holes distributed on the soleplate.
Highly precise ironing tip. Smart control settings for great agility. Transparent water tank window for easy and precise water level adjustment. High-quality materials and anti-scale setting for durable performance.
Anti-drip feature to avoid stains on fabric. Easy vertical steaming function. Impressive steam boost of up to 180g/minute for stubborn creases and thick fabrics.
I like the design of this German made Iron. It’s shape, with it’s elongated tip makes it easier to press clothes with narrow edges, seams and collars. It heats up quickly and glides over laundry easily.
It is lightweight compared to the other Rowenta Iron’s with steam features, I have owned in the past. The size and shape of the iron’s sole-plate is also nice. All the controls work well, and it is self cleaning with a “calc catcher” that is removable.
The transparent water tank window is convenient for easy watch over the water level. It also has a nice balance to it and does not tip over like the cheaper irons do. Overall the colors, design, and features make it a good desired product.
This iron doesn’t heat up enough to threaten even the weakest wrinkle. I would not recommend it. For only the more dollars I got a name brand that works perfectly and it didn’t take a month to receive it.
This mini iron works fantastic. I use it for creating sails for ship model kits using silkspan paper. The process involved some ironing. That’s my only use I cannot comment about any other use but it does heat quick, it is very light, the cord stays put very well.
Its a household iron in miniature! Easy to use – the instructions that come with it are easy to read. Just plug in and go! I wish I bought it sooner! Amazing product! I will recommend it to everyone who asks.
This tiny mini iron is perfect for ironing small seam on quilt blocks but I got it to iron the tight hard to press sleeves on doll dresses. The two temperatures are a plus and it gets hot enough for cottons but can be set cooler for synthetics.
I’m use to the heaviest professional iron you can buy so to me this little light weight iron is a breeze to use. What a bargain here on ebay, The Fabric Store wanted 3 times as much.
The AKG K175 is a closed studio headphone with ear cushions on the top of the ear. 2 powerful 40 mm transducers ensure precise reproduction and high-resolution sound. External noise is well shielded by the closed design.
At the same time, no sound is emitted, so that crosstalk is avoided during vocal and instrumental recordings. The soft, supra-aural cushions adapt perfectly to the ear. In addition to high wearing comfort, this ensures optimum attenuation of external noise.
Due to the low impedance and high efficiency of the converters, the headphones are also suitable for mobile use. Whether it’s audio editing on a notebook or live production, the AKG K175 has enough volume reserves to work undisturbed.
Heavy-duty components are made of metal. They make the headphones particularly stable, making them a reliable companion even when used daily. The headphones can be easily folded for transport.
I was looking for a compact iron to make t shirts. I read a ton of reviews looked through a ton of products and came across this one. I decided to give it a shot. I’m SO glad I did. I was a little surprised at how small it was but it’s name of MIGHTY lives up to the hype.
Wow. You could even use it to iron clothes. I ironed the t shirts before application. It comes with a cool little fill cup and a storage draw string bag. I love love love this iron. It was perfect and for the price you can’t beat it.
I love this little steam iron. It truly is a migthy little tool for my quilting, and this is my second one; however my first died a hero after dropping it on the floor several times it just didn’t stand up to the tile floors.
Truly took 3 separate times to kill it. It is a great product and a quilters best friend. I definitly recommend it. The staff at Joann is always helpful, great place to shop.
I love this little iron, it’s a great tool for quilting and embroidery. It heats up quickly and gives off plenty of steam, making pressing seams easy. The cord is extra long. Cons for me: the temperature dial can be a little difficult to turn (especially for arthritic hands) so I use a coin to insert in the slot.
Also, my iron had scratches on the plate although it was packaged as new but it still works great.
Dial temperature control Enables simple, precise adjustments and illustrates which setting to use for a variety of fabric types. High and low steam settings Let you customize for delicate and tough materials.
A dry setting provides added versatility. One-touch spray mist button Adds moisture instantly when needed and helps keep the steam vents clean. The U-shape, nonstick soleplate ensures steam is distributed evenly to reduce tugging.
Automatic retractable cord For simple storage. An indicator light lets you see when the iron is on for safety. Easy-fill built-in water reservoir 7. 1-oz. tank includes a large window, so you know when to add more water.
Anticalcium system minimizes buildup to prevent clogged steam vents.
I got mine for 24. 95. Not sure why price went up. It’s a nice iron. Heats up very quickly. Love the retractable cord. I would caution you to read all the directions. You need to empty water container, etc.
after every use. I thought the steam could be a bit more powerful, but it does the trick. Moves smoothly over clothes.
The Juki TL-2000Qi is a high-quality sewing and quilting machine. The TL-2000Qi is a portable, lightweight machine, constructed of aluminum die-casting to ensure industrial-quality sewing. With a large work area of up to 23′′ (with auxiliary table attached), the TL-2000Qi can handle large quilts and home décor projects with ease.
I was really excited to receive my new machine as I’ve read many great reviews. However, the foot pedal seems like it has a malfunction. I’m hoping it is something simple and maybe I can get it resolved by getting a new pedal if possible.
I put in a call to Juki directly and they are supposed to call me back. In the meantime I was wondering if I should register the machine under the warranty or try to return it back to Walmart for a new one.
But I will say, that it worked wonderful for a few minutes. The speed was fantastic! But it would stop suddenly or just go really slow. I realize there’s a cutter at the very back of the pedal, but I was only pressing towards the front, and it just goes super slow, or just refuses to sew all together.
Really bummed. But I’m hoping it will be resolved soon and I can write up a much better review.
If you like to be scammed this store is for you. Machine was on sale and they somehow didn’t have anymore but a store model. Then after wasting my time for 2 weeks still no machine. I called cc company to stop payment, and contacted the Attorney General and am filing a complaint.
Buy your machine from someone who is interested in actually selling you a machine. Not these people.
Super fast shipping, great customer service. Love this machine, I wish I would have bought one sooner. It sews so smooth. I never knew Juki was the #1 manufacturer in the world. Spending a bit more money on a good sewing machine is worth every penny.
Sunbeam Best Value Motion Smart Auto-Off Steam Iron – Safety Storage Strip – Position-Sensing Auto Shutoff: Iron Shuts Off In 30 Seconds If Motionless On Side Or Face, In 15 Minutes If Upright – Steam Lever – Push Button For Spray Mist – Easy-To-Operate Fabric/Temperature Settings – Self-Cleaning – Nonstick, Rust Resistant, Aluminum Alloy Soleplate – Easy-View Water Reservoir With Fill Cap – 12′, 360 Swivel Cord – Fits All Organizers.
I purchased this iron upon reading reviews, just like this one I am submitting. I have used it perhaps 10 times since buying it. The positives: So far it has a crazy blast of steam, which I like. The packaging / owner’s manual states it blasts steam vertical as well as horizontal, which again I like a lot.
I just hope with proper care of the iron, the steam blast will continue working. I suppose since the iron is only $19 or $20, if that goes by the wayside, I’ll just buy another. The negatives, which are not a deal breaker, at least for me: The water reservoir is pretty tiny, so I’m adding water quite frequently, but again, for the price, I can live with it.
It’s a fairy small iron. But so far, no leaks (that is probably my biggest pet peeve. I hate when my garment(s) gets all wet while ironing it / them). Lastly, be careful while using. The bottom of the iron is not very wide, therefore, it’s somewhat unstable.
I have almost knocked it over more than once. Overall, like my review summary above, in my opinion, this iron is a good buy. I iron my and my husband’s clothing if not everyday, close to every other day (yeah, call me an ironing freak HA HA).
We’ll see after a few months if it continues to not leak and the steam keeps on working. Hope this review helps someone. : ).
I received this iron for a bridal gift. I have had this iron forever. It works as great as the day I received. I wished the cord was longer and it swiveled for better handling with left and right handed individuals.
This is a nice, small, easy to use iron that is great for use at home or when traveling. My mother bought me this iron to use when I traveled to the UK. It fit nicely in my suitcase and I never had any issues using it with a converter.
This iron also went with me to college and was nice a compact for those small dorm rooms! I have since continued to use this iron on a regular basis at home. It works well for everyday ironing and for getting rid of creases in material before starting a sewing project.
Performance The iron heats up quickly and stays heated for the entire time I need to use it. I generally don’t use the water/steam option, but when I have, it has worked just fine. Safety As far as I know this iron does not have an auto shut off.
When you unplug it, it starts to cool down. It would be nice to have a shut off feature. Ease of Cleaning I haven’t had to clean this iron much. There was one time when I accidentally put the iron down (plugged in of course) on some carpet and ended up with melted carpet on the bottom.
I just used a little iron cleaner and it was good as new. Durability I’ve had this iron for quite a few years and have never had any issues with it.
It was designed with the creative soul in mind. Featuring Oliso ‘s patented iTouch technology, simply touch the handle and the iron lowers, ready to work. Take your hand off and the patented scorchguards lift the iron off the board preventing scorches, burns, and tipping.
Less strain and 30% time savings are added benefits to this Smart Iron ‘s 1800 watts of power and horizontal or vertical bursts of steam. The TG1600 Pro features a 30-minute extended auto-shut off for sewers and quilters, a 12.
7 oz side fill tank, a beadblast stainless steel soleplate, flat pressing surface, detailer tip, and a 12-foot cord for full range of motion.
I am a professional seamstress. I have had a hard time finding a long lasting iron. I have only been using this about one month but so far it’s working well. Pros: The iron is a good weight and has a large water tank.
It doesn’t make any beeping noises to indicate the iron being ready or shutting off after being left alone for a few minutes which I greatly appreciate. Cons: The constant raising and lowering of the legs every time I touch the handle is annoying.
I would like the option of turning off that feature. It might be handy for quilters but not so much for garment construction and alterations.
Love this iron. I’ve bee curious about Oliso for a while. Saved up gift cards from birthdays and Christmases to get this for myself. So happy I finally went for it. It glides so smooth over fabric, has a nice wait to get wrinkles out faster then my old iron.
The auto life is magical to me. It pairs perfectly with the swivel cord to be very user friendly. I use it with a spray bottle so I haven’t had to think about emptying the iron water reserve after each use.
I like this iron a lot! In addition to the special feature of it lifting itself up when your hand’s not on it, it has a wonderfully long cord, and a substantial water reservoir that is clearly visible when you are trying to see how much water is in there.
I have not had any problems with it so far. The extra shot of steam function works well to get out stubborn wrinkles.
