20 Best Ipad Pro 12.9 Case 4Th Generation (2023 Updated)

Purchased for using my iPad pro for concerts – looks very smart and professional, folds back fully and the elastic keeps the folded cover in place, it sits on a music stand without any problems. The only slight drawback is that it is quite heavy to hold for any length of time, but leather is heavy I guess.

It makes the iPad slightly heavier to hold than a folder of music, but still more convenient.

Really satisfied with this cover. I have tryed many covers, but this is the top. It smells like real leather should do. It’s stable in every position, and works really great. Could not be more happy with this.

Had a Torro case on my old IPad. When acquired a new one decided to buy another case as the old one after a few years needed replacing due to having dropped it a couple of times. It did though prevent damage to the IPad.

Appears to be made to same standard.

I’m not the ideal customer for this product since I haven’t bought a case for any cell phone or tablet I’ve owned since before 2007, except when it’s been absolutely necessary. But when necessary, like in this case with my iPad Pro that I take around with me in my Jeep for navigation, I remember and chose the Otterbox because it has served me well in the past.

However, since it’s been so long since I bought a good case for any handheld device, I forgot how big they can (and probably need) to be. This case is so large that it makes it impossible to dash-mount my iPad with it on, limiting the usefulness of it to only times when I’m using it outside of an office or my Jeep, which isn’t too often.

It’s still worth keeping it for those times, so basically I carry it with me in my backpack in case I need it. I think it will work well for its purpose, but I’ll probably never know. It gives you decent access to buttons, considering how well it protects your iPad, but the Pencil cover that gives you access to charge your Apple Pencil on your iPad seems like a stupidly designed after-thought.

It honestly severely compromises the structural integrity of that side of the case. I really doubt it would protect your iPad at all if you actually dropped your iPad on that side when the Pencil is not there and only the cover is there.

The cover is very, very difficult to take off, so even if they left the Pencil cover out of the design to improve protection, it would be nearly useless to people who have the Pencil, because you simply don’t want to struggle taking it off every day or two to charge your Pencil.

Taking it off every day would be like wearing galoshes and boots every single day and having to wrestle them off just to rest your feet — not fun. I think given all the shortcomings of this cover as mentioned, they should focus future designs on improving the ease of putting on and taking off the cover.

Maybe use more thick rubberized parts that can be easily removed? The plastic parts are ridiculously hard to figure out how to remove, like some kind of puzzle that I never asked for. The outside rubber cover you put on after putting the plastic case on is much, much easier to remove and put on, once you learn how to do it.

With zero documentation included, I had to look up a YouTube video to learn how to remove this case from my iPad. That should tell you how badly designed this case is. But, I think it will protect my iPad handily.

as long as I don’t drop it exactly on that side where the Pencil goes. With all this being said, I’m sure it will do a better job protecting my iPad than the Apple trackpad/keyboard combo case/cover.

I shattered the screen of a previous iPad by dropping it on its corner with that cover on. However, ironically, I’m sure because of how rarely this case will be useful, I’ll use the Apple cover a lot more often.

I have used OtterBox products for years now, and have liked all of them. The quality of the materials felt less sturdy than previous products. While I consider myself pretty handy with these devices, I admittedly couldn’t even remove the top piece to get the iPad in.

There were no instructions, I didn’t find it intuitive, and was afraid to break it trying to figure it out myself. That led me to look up YouTube videos of how to do it, and reached frustration point #2.

Their versions of the same product had a screen and didn’t look like the version I had, which made me wonder if I had missing pieces. The packaging was sealed so I didn’t think so, but theirs referenced a screen cover as well as a rubberized outside, and I had neither.

Ultimately, it wasn’t worth pursuing, because the 3rd and breaker for me was the fact that this is a 2-piece protective front and back cover, so it’s covered on both sides, but lack any kind of stand functionality.

You just snap off the cover and then use it with no easel-type functionality. Had I known this, I wouldn’t have bought it, but since it was sealed, I couldn’t open it to inspect. All in all, I found it pricey, didn’t meet my needs, and wasn’t the same quality as previous OtterBox products, so my experience wasn’t great.

I could see this for someone who worked outdoors and needed rugged protection as a sacrifice for convenience, but this one wasn’t a fit for me. I still like OtterBox and would buy other products, just not this one.

I’m not sure what has happened to the Otterbox brand over the last year or so, but to my surprise and unfortunate dismay, I found both of the Defender Series Pro cases for the 2021 iPad Pro models to be extremely subpar.

While the lack of a built-in screen protector in recent years is extremely disappointing (and shortsighted) my complaint is about the actual build quality of these particular cases. I bought (and quickly returned) both cases after trying them on both iPad Pro models – these cases suffer from the same issue.

The issue is that the plastic border of the pencil area that encompasses the bezels on the front facing side of the iPads is so thin that my thumb can actually pull it to the side during normal use. And when it returns to its normal state, it can actually catch on the side of the screen protector! I also own the 2020 iPad Air and this is not an issue – interestingly enough.

I suspect Otterbox has reduced the amount of plastic they use on the top frame of the case as well as the amount of rubber they use for the outer case protection. Both of the 2021 cases seem to have less rubber protection than the 2020 iPad Air case.

I don’t know if this was an intentional move to save money or if Apple provided Otterbox with the wrong specs, but the 2021 cases are less than ideal and the overall rating this case has is deserved – it is not a mistake.

This is genuinely poor quality and I expect better from Otterbox overall. In addition, the packaging for the case is extremely cheap and flimsy – almost like recycled newspaper. They are better off just selling it without the packaging because it does not nothing to instill confidence in overall quality.

In Otterbox’s defense, Apple’s choice to use the side of the iPad for charging the Apple Pencil undoubtedly created some design challenges. I think Otterbox’s decision to use a cheap plastic flap to accommodate Apple pencil use was a poor decision.

The hinges that keep the flap attached to the plastic frame (underneath the rubber when the case is fully assembled) are incredibly cheap and look like they are prone to easy breakage. It introduces a single point of failure in the overall frame design.

I wish Otterbox would have simply made a cutout in the frame to accommodate the pencil and gave users the option of inserting a rubber cover over the pencil portion for added rigidity and protection once the case is fully assembled.

In either event, I am glad to say that I have not given up on Otterbox entirely – I simply may need to give up the idea that they are the best in the business when it comes to case design and protection.

If I can find another company is more focused on case protection that maying cheap bluetooth keyboards, I may give them a chance over the Otterbox brand.

I finally picked this up on sale after wanting one for a long time. So many great reviews and a long reputation of making amazing products. The quality is great! The adjustable stand works really well.

But unfortunately after a couple weeks of usage it now sits in a desk drawer because it’s just too frustrating for me to use it due to a flaw in the design. Being a right-handed artist who uses the Apple Pencil for illustrations and note-taking, I find it very difficult to place the pencil back in the side slot with the tip facing up.

The natural motion for me to place the pencil on the magnet has always been to place it with the tip downward (or to the right if I’m using it in landscape. This case forces it to be placed upward (or to the left), so every time I’m quickly wanting to transition to place or take the pencil, it’s the “wrong” way to me.

This is a major design flaw as it’s a completely unnatural motion when going back and forth with the pencil. I don’t understand the design decision to mold the pencil holder to fit only one direction.

It shouldn’t be molded to any direction at all, in my opinion. I tried very hard to get used to the ‘flip’ of the pencil, but I keep fumbling it or dropping it when I have to transition – and this is incredibly frustrating for me.

This turned out to be a make or break decision on what seems to be a great case for my iPad. But I have no desire to use it anymore as it won’t allow me to use the pencil the way I need to. I rated this 3 stars because of its outstanding quality and versatility.

But it’s unusable for me. I’m frustrated by the design choice with the side pencil slot and the fact that I can’t place/grab it in a natural motion. Using an old $12 case I bought on Amazon instead. Not as great but at least I don’t have the pencil issue.

I was pleasantly surprised. Right off the packaging says high class and high quality. Once you remove the top of the box you’re greeted with a nice quality paper card with a note about the company and black gift wrap with an elegant sticker holding both sides of the wrap together.

It made me not want to rip the paper but just like Christmas Day I had you in order to get to the present inside. The case was nicely tucked away in the surroundings. Pulling it out it wasn’t too heavy or to light but really felt perfect in the hands.

I chose the brown and black version and seeing it in person it was impressive with how well the colors complimented each other. I was hesitant ordering the color combination but the hesitancy was quelled instantly.

Before I write a book my iPad fit perfectly and I feel like it will be safe nestled within it. As you can tell I fell in love with it instantly and hope I’ve made your decision on whether you purchase this product a little easier.

As a digital artist, this case has been great! It saved me from having to buy a stand separate from a case in order to comfortably draw due to its multiple angle magnetic kickstand. I also find that it has a very overall nice style and look to it; compensations we’re not made to make way for functionality! I would definitely recommend this case to others, especially digital/hobby artists.

As a side note, I will also say the packaging is very nice and definitely matches what you would expect for the price point. My only (small) gripe is that the fabric on the inside of the flap does occasionally pick up some debris due to the nature of the texture—but it’s not something I would say ruins the whole experience of the case as a whole.

My primary use for the iPad Pro is as a design tool. I do a lot of drawing and illustration work. I previously had an 11″ iPad with the Apple Keyboard Folio. When I upgraded to the 12. 9″ model, I decided to try the Logitech case, which I hoped would address some of the shortcomings of Apple’s case.

It did, but introduced some new shortcomings I had not anticipated. First, what I like about this case: It has a protection flap for the Apple Pencil so it doesn’t get knocked off when being carried (unlike the Apple case).

It has a real keyboard, backlit, with function keys (unlike Apple’s). It is quieter to type on than Apple’s clackety case, so I don’t get looks from people when I type. The build quality feels good, although I haven’t had it long enough to give a rating on durability (The coating on Apple’s case began to bubble and show tears in about 8 months of regular but respectful use).

So what’s not to like? The first thing I noted was that this case, by necessity of having a proper keyboard, is thicker that Apple’s. It feels bulkier in the hand, and heavier, making it more straining to hold in one hand when drawing in one’s lap.

Apple’s case was very thin and light. The increased size has necessitated a bigger spine, and since this hinge is made of reinforced rubberized coating, it has a certain amount of play when the cover is completely unfolded 180° and is sitting on the back.

This results in the tablet shifting from the spine when trying to draw on it (see photos). By contrast, Apple’s case had a tighter spine and when the cover was opened 180° the unit felt more stable in the hand.

Lastly, the Logitech case uses a rubber bracket to secure the tablet in place. While it is well designed of a soft but firm rubber, it may also (like many cases) interfere with the artist’s hand when drawing strokes.

Apple’s case held the iPad on a flat back panel with magnets, so it didn’t have any brace. This was less secure, but allowed a surface free of edge obstructions. Perhaps these are all things I can get used to, but offhand the drawing experience is not as good using Logitech’s case.

If you are not an artist I don’t think any of my issues will be important and I would highly recommend the case. For artists, this case trades different issues with Apple’s case. Overall both are good but not without their own unique flaws.

I don’t think Apple’s case is worth the money they charge (mainly because of poor durability) but, for drawing, I liked that design better.

This is a good alternative to Apple’s keyboard for a significantly lower price. It pairs to the iPad fairly quickly. The tactile feeling of the keys is great. The battery life is good, but impossible to gauge an approximate percent charge because it doesn’t report the battery status to the iPad via Bluetooth like other devices do.

It just has a little LED indicator (which you have to press a dedicated button to see- kind of silly). The only thing I don’t like is that the backlight for the keys sometimes goes crazy with a strobe effect glitch.

I don’t know what causes it or how to remedy. Otherwise it’s been a good keyboard. Very convenient.

UPDATE: After only a couple of months of use, a chiclet key flipped off and it was a key that is NEVER touched or used. I trying to get Logitech to replace Slim Folio PRO, they are the most none-responsive entity after they first told me they would be glad to replace it.

After that, they said they would have to renege on their promise. Why a chiclet would just pop off when it was never touched or used. The key was the backwards slash (\\) and vertical line (|) key. Another key which is used—the mute key—works sometimes and doesn’t at other times.

Allow me first to qualify the title of this review in my use of the word ‘seemingly. ’ No on can rate the true quality of a keyboard until it has had many months of use and given it time to show its strengths and weaknesses, whatever they are.

So, I will do an update of this review after a full six months of use since I use my iPad Pro and the keyboard on average 13 hours per day, seven days per week according to the iOS daily usage chart that pops up on my screen every week.

I am a very heavy user of this type of a Folio-style Keyboard for the iPad Pro 3rd Generation (12. 9”) since the iPad Pros 12. 0” were first released. With the three iPad Pro 1st Generations I have owned (the one I purchased and two replacements under warranty) and the 3rd Generation I purchased last October 2018, I have used a similar Folio keyboard which has been attached to the current iPad Pro 12.

9” until I received this Logitech Slim Folio Pro five days ago. I am a touch typist typing 90 words per minute, and have rather large, strong hands for a man of 72 years of age. So, when I type, I do a lot of it and the keyboards do take a beating when in use but never in abuse.

I may have had the Logitech Slim Folio Pro for the same iPad Pro 3rd Generation for only five days now, but I have done a lot of typing since. In fact, I have typed nearly 140 pages of double-spaced letter-sized pages of prose composing several documents.

I have also used it to do some final editorial markup of a manuscript for an indie author. In addition, I have also used this keyboard to enter some nine pages of numbers and/or using calculation equations in two different brand spreadsheets.

Although I don’t consider too much typing to give a ‘best’ review of this Logitech Slim Folio Pro keyboard as I will in six additional months of use, I can give as honest opinion possible based on my already heavy usage over the past five days.

The following is a breakdown of the various parts of the Logitech Folio Pro Keyboard for the 12. 9” iPad Pro 3rd Generation released last Autumn 2018. 1. KEYS: The keys are nicely spaced apart as much as or almost as much as a full-sized keyboard Logitech keyboard for a Mac or PC.

The keys need some pressure to type the letter or number. Compared to my other mentioned keyboard, this keyboard has a row of function keys that are not found on the other. The only thing I still have yet to do that many already know is what each key does and to know it by memory.

Not having had this luxury for very long, I still find myself using the manual method to accomplish the shortcut these keys are meant to do. There are 14 function keys at the top of the keyboard above the number keys.

From left to right, they are: Home Screen Brightness Lower Screen Brightness Higher Search (iOS Search) Virtual Keyboard (toggle between Virtual Keyboard On/Off) Media Control (Previous Track, Song, Recording, etc.

) Media Control (Play/Pause—Toggle between Each) Media Control (Next Track, Song, Recording, etc. ) Volume Control (Mute) Volume Control (Volume Up) Volume Control (Volume Down) Screen On/Off Lock (Toggle Between On & Off) Bluetooth Low Energy Connect Battery Check (LED above function key shows Battery Level) The other very big advantage of these keys over my previous Folio keyboard is they are nicely backlit—however, with the brightness of the screen shining down on the keys and the lights in the room, I really find this unnecessary for touch typists.

(But here, never having owned much less used a backlit keyboard prior to this Logitech Slim Folio Pro keyboard, why should the keyboard come on at all when I am typing in a brightly lit room and/or when the bright screen is very bright, as well? Why is there not something inside the keyboard to tell it when it is absolutely necessary to turn on the backlights? But, as I stated, this is my first and I have no real understanding of backlit keyboards and maybe it’s possible to do and that some other keyboards do have this feature.

Maybe too that to do so would have added bulk and weight to the keyboard which would have defeated another feature of the product. ) For hunt & peck typists, however, this might be a huge advantage. If you keep your screen’s brightness on a lower level to help the battery last longer, then the backlit keys may be a big advantage for both typists, but since I keep my iPad plugged into power all the time, again this is a non-issue for me.

One final n.

This was my first case from Speck and im amazed at the quality. It was the only case I could find that covered every inch of the iPad. The camera cover is a life saver. All an all a great product, fast shipping and great customer service.

The color is great! I do feel that my iPad is protected and I love the clasp, how it snaps closed so i know the lid wont fly open. BUT I did email speck before I bought the product and asked if it would turn off the iPad automatically when you close the case and they said yes, but it does not.

So at some point I’ll have to get a different case. That feature is really important to me.

The case is a great fit, very good quality, and very durable. I also have a cover on my Apple Pencil and was worried it wouldn’t fit, but it does with no problems charging. Happy with my purchase. #sweepstakes.

I have been using the New Trent Gladius iPad Pro Case for several days now and I have to say I love it. First off the packaging was done very well and easy to get into. Taking a minute and read the instructions will save yourself some time in the long run before you put the iPad in the case.

The case is a hard plastic with clips on the sides and tops that allow for the top and bottom to clip together and do so quite securely. The top cover has a clear plastic touch cover that will cover your iPad to help protect the face.

The iPad fits nicely in the back cover and the top again securely clips over the laptop to the bottom cover. Putting your rubber protective cover back on is pretty simple and you are done. The stand is the plus for the case and believe me, my son uses the iPad rugged and it withstands all accidents and holds well.

Now that the case is together the unit as a whole feels very secure and solid. The case is in great quality. The case offers port openings for access to all the connections on the iPad and has a rubber cover over the Home button.

Turning the cover over shows the leather strap and a brushed alloy stand that is mounted in the cover. The leather strap is a nice addition and gives your hand something to slide into to help secure your iPad during usage.

The built in stand can be a little tough to get to come out the first few times but once you do it again seems very secure and firm. The leather strap and stand are in a swivel section that allow you to use them in either landscape or portrait mode.

Again this is a really nice feature. The cover holds the iPad securely even its handled rugged, I need to clean the case once in a while after he touches the screen with food and other eatables. The case looks slim but sturdy and Overall I give the unit a 5 out of 5.

It does exactly what it is designed to do.

Awesome. I use this on my Ipad daily in a manufacturing environment. It keeps my Ipad clean and protected from the occasional bump. It was the only cover I found that had the hand strap on the back, which was my primary reason for purchase.

The strap is adjustable and very comfortable. I carry my Ipad and use it on the manufacturing floor for at least two hours at a time daily and in meeting throughout the day. I have never felt like I would drop the Ipad or that it was uncomfortable writing on it.

I use my Ipad with a handwriting App. I have been paperless since this purchase with the combination of the Ipad, Case, Apple Pen and Nebo. My pen tip is lasting noticeably longer than a peer with a different cover on his Ipad.

I have used the stand rarely, and experienced no issues that I had read in other reviews.

I’ve been through a few iPad Pro cases some where good and somewhere great for durability. But when it comes to durability, comfortability, mobility, and quality I would recommend this case for your iPad.

By looking at the strap it looks very easy to replace (with non original type strap) if the original broke. What I like the most is that it has a removable leather strap that’s also adjustable. This allows me to hold my iPad comfortably and draw which was one of my main reasons for buying this case.

Also when I comes to making a video or taking a picture it does come in handy. It takes a little getting used to for the camera aspect. Since the handle rotates (8 “locking” points, every 45 degrees) it allows you to get angles you normally have trouble using the iPad the traditional way.

Oh and it looks like the metal kick stand can open your beer. haven’t tested it yet.

Have both of their iPad & iPhone cases, great construction for proven protection. Never dropped my 12. 9 iPad Pro, but did drop my IPhone 5SE from about 4 high, on to a concrete sidewalk. Not even a scratch! SUPCASE simply builds the best product for the money.

Many models with or w/o screen protector, & doesnt interfere with your touch screen functionality. The iPad model features a GREAT retractable locking, sturdy kickstand, thats works well in portrait or landscape positions.

If you buy one, youll never consider another case. Case Closed!.

If I had to be BRUTALLY HONEST. I would say this is by far THE BEST iPad Pro 12. 9 inch (2017) case I have ever purchased!!! Came in brand new packaging. Super easy to put on and take off. Very protective.

I thought the stand would collapse if I were to put it on my bed BUT that didnt happen. This is such a perfect case. Im definitely ordering another one in a different color. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Even typing this review ,the stand is holding up.

Very rugged and built like a tank! Fits perfectly. My iPad Pro was not cheap, so I want to protect it as best I can and this Supcase Unicorn Beetle does the job. Ive also noticed that the clear protective screen cover does not scratch as easily as others that I have used in the past.

This is truly a quality item and you will not be disappointed.

I received my case about 2 weeks ago and neither of my toddlers have broken it. I have 2 toddler boys, I’d agree that it is mother approved lol.

While it definitely protects the iPad it’s not ideal. The cover “snaps” off but it’s cumbersome. Also the edges don’t “wrap” around the iPad very evenly making it feel like a design flaw and a bit cheap – which it’s definitely not.

I wanted something that holds the pen, but if you want to put it in “stand” / table top mode then the part that wraps around the pen is in the way. Also the ridges on the cover aloe many viewing angles, but the soft and clean fiber side would be on the table.

Making it dirty and defeating the purpose of keeping your screen clean(ish) Overal. If you want protection it’s fine, but functionality I would look elsewhere. Many cheaper options.

I’ve been using iPad cases since the first ipad came out, and I think I own every iPad model still. So I’ve chanced and swapped protective cases like this one quite often over the years. I know I can spot a good one when I see it.

The case is of great quality, and offers great protection, however, the iPad slides down when placed in upright positions more easily compared with the apple original case. A slight design chance on the inside protective casing from UAG would have solved this issue, but it didn’t happen so I cannot give it a five star review.

The big plus over all other cases is the fact that it keeps the stylus in a well, and it keeps it well protected, that sets this case above others for me.

If you’re looking at a good sturdy case for your iPad then this is it! I’ve had mine for a little over a month and it is so so good. The shipping for this was quick too! It got to me like the day after I ordered it.

(Thanks PB Tech) I had trouble with my old case because my apple pen kept slipping off but this case keeps it stuck to your iPad as there is a built in slot in the case for it and the cover wraps over it for extra protection.

The corners are thicker than the rest of the case, given that if I were to drop it- it won’t crack! My old case had no corner protection so given that this one has makes me happy. You don’t have to worry about your screen getting all scratched up too since there is a cover that wraps over the screen as is secured by magnets on the backside of the case.

The design of the case is so nice! I absolutely love this case and would recommend it to anyone that is considering on buying it. 10/10 case.

My iPad Pro case is just as described. The leather is lovely and soft but firm enough to protect it. I love the colour and the idea of use a rubber like substance rather than a hard polymer to hold it in place.

This is what happened to my last leather case. The plastic holder that held it in place and was supposed to protect the corners I got it in broke on one corner so it would slide right out. This will never happen with this case.

This is my 6th MacCase product. As expected the case is well-designed and durable. Instead of the Ipad being held in place in a sleeve, like my earlier cases, the new Ipad Pro is secured with a plastic retainer frame.

It should be durable and probably holds the much thinner Ipad in place. I do miss the small flap on the back cover used to secure the cover so that you can stand the Ipad up for viewing upright on a flat surface.

Nevertheless, it is a great product!.

This is my second MacCase iPad Folio. I had one for my 10. 5″ pro. The quality of the leather and interior cloth, the careful attention to details like stitching alignment are spot on. I also tried the Kavaj London, Toro, and Pad & Quill.

The Kavaj product uses minimalist materials whose edges won’t last the month. The Toro case used good leather but was mounted on a flimsy inner board that bent easily especially at the corner from hell (camera, on/off, and volume).

The Pad & Quill used a very thick leather cover material, was stitched very well, and had No edge protection. The 3M mounting adhesive system simply glued to the back of the bare iPad to the inside of the case.

meaning, no edge protection. And I could never get used to the strap. The MacCase Folio uses the best leather (Vintage) I’ve seen. The padded case is just the right thickness and closes authoritatively onto the surface of the iPad.

A polymer tray is used to hold the iPad in place. The polymer material is strong enough to hold the iPad securely especially in the corners and along the bottom and acts as a rubber bumper of sorts along the short edges and bottom.

The top edge of the iPad is uncovered just enough for the new Pencil and the case flaps help cover the pencil when attached. The Vintage leather is unfinished and Very Soft. It will show scratches and in time natural oils from your hands.

Michael recommends treating it every 6 to 12 months with the same product used to soften baseball gloves and tack.

I’m a 100% Sure that if my iPad falls it won’t break. That’s what a Mous case does for you. Now, I wish the case design would’ve been nicer. I always have to watch and be careful to where I open my screen cover, because the fabric that faces the screen when it’s closed, is the same fabric that’s facing the table where you place it in landscape mode.

And if it’s dirty, all of that is going to your screen. I attached a picture of my iPad 6th Gen case which addresses this issue. I believe the same design could be applied to the next version of this Mous case.

See last pic…Instead of flipping from above as a separate leg to hold the iPad…use the same mechanism to open from below, and at the same time holding the tablet. It’s basically what you have right now, but reversed.

Got what I expected as always. Really good quality product. Doesn’t add bulk to my iPad Pro. Love how the case rises above the screen to add protection ( I still suggest a screen protector) You just can not go wrong with this product.

The buttons are nice and easy to press. The price is acceptable with what you get. All of my devices are protected by Mous. Once you get a case through them. You’ll never need another. I’ve only had to buy one per device.

Unless you’re throwing your phone down consecutively every single day. You will not see any wear or tear. But let’s keep in mind. Majority of the time if something falls on concrete it’s gonna get a ding.

But honestly speaking this product is indestructible. BUY IT NOW!!!.

Given as a gift this past Christmas (along with the new iPad to go in it, of course – I’m not a monster). The recipient was coming from ~5 years worth of OtterBox Defenders, so I wasn’t sure how it would be received.

Fortunately, they seemed pretty pleased with it, and were particularly charmed by how the cover folds out of the way of the camera (nice touch design team!). It feels at least as sturdy as the OB cases, but beats them out in the aesthetics department by a long shot.

As I learned from the googling that lead me here, it’s surprisingly hard to find iPad cases that are both nice to look at and protective enough for those of us who are, er, slightly more accident prone.

Haven’t seen how it fairs under heavy use, but at the moment this would top my list for cases if I needed to get a new one for myself.

Over the years, my wife and I have bought over five iPads. I´ve lost count of how many iPhones my wife has had. We always buy official Apple accessories (cables, chargers, folios etc. ) I mention this upfront so that you understand that what follows comes from a loyal customer and not some Android fanboy just having a whiny rant.

It´s a loyal customer having a whiny rant. I decided to buy my wife a smart folio for her iPad Pro as a birthday present. It was a great disappointment. In fact, I would go so far as to say it doesn´t work.

We have always bought Apple Smart Folios for our iPads. We had tried cheaper third-party products, but I guess you get what you pay for. Though the Apple Smart Folios were far more expensive, there was no doubt that they were extremely well made from quality materials and worked extremely well.

When my wife bought her new iPad Pro, financial constraints obliged her to get a cheap third part cover. For months she was grumbling about how light weight and flimsy it was, how it wasn´t anywhere near as good as the Apple iPad folios, and how she wished she had had the money to afford a proper Apple iPad folio for her new iPad.

I can take a hint. I bought one for her birthday. At first, she was delighted with her present. But within hours she was beginning to complain about the new design. Earlier versions of the Smart Folios wrapped around the edge of the iPad and held it in firmly in place.

The new version only holds the iPad in place magnetically. You can convince yourself that this is sufficiently robust – as many reviews here seem to do – but it really isn´t. It is possible to dislodge the iPad with only moderately vigorous swiping.

If you adjust your position whilst lying recumbent in bed it is very easy to dislodge the iPad from the cover. If you are unlucky, your iPad will tumble with a crash onto the floor leaving you holding the Smart Folio flapping forlornly in the wind.

None of these things ever happened with previous incarnations of the Smart Folio. My wife and I have both had our own iPads since 2011. That´s 20 person years of use without incident. I hope Apple see sense and reconsider this design decision for future iterations of the Smart Folio.

If they are wedded to the magnetic Smart Folios they think they look cool, well they could produce two versions – one magnetic and one wraparound. (They already effectively produce two versions with the cover and the Smart Folio, so I guess one more will make three).

Heck, if cost is an issue, they can charge even more for the wraparound version. I´ll be the first to slap down my hard-earned dosh for a pre-order. But I only want something that works.

I am used to buying iPad covers with a keyboard attached and the image of the thin magnetically held cover seemed both insecure and expensive. However, the availability of a portable keyboard that could be used with various devices, and the inconvenience of heavy keyboard covers led me to give the smart folio a try.

I will never buy another keyboard cover. The Apple cover is expensive. However, it has protected my iPad from falls, briefcase debris, and other mishaps. It also folds into at least two useful positions – and allows the iPad to be charged while being used.

In short, it is simple, light, effective, and elegant. Now to find a Bluetooth keyboard that is the same (smile).

Pros: -I’ve gone through so many generic folio covers, this one is the best for my iPad Pro 11″ -Minimalistic and functionable -Gives bare bones protection without adding weight and bulk Cons: -Gives bare bones protection -the stand to have your iPad set up vertically in landscape fashion is not very sturdy at all -$80? This rubberized cardboard is literally $20 less than an Apple Magic Keyboard! Overall: The ONLY reason I got this cover was because it was for sale for $59.

99 at my local Best Buy. I still see no justification for $80 for a rubberized cardboard cover. This gives you the bare minimum of protection. Since I’m generally very careful with my iPad Pro 11″ anyway, that’s not a big deal.

I’ve used a few 3rd party protection gimmicks and they add some bulk and weight to my iPad Pro. This folio cover does not. Bottom line, if you don’t mind paying Apple premium prices for a bare bones folio cover, by all means, get this.

But if the price is too much and you already dropped $$$$ on your iPad Pro and don’t want to fork out even more, there are $20 alternatives that may feel cheap but at least give you something that provides more protection.

Great protection and has an outside pocket . The sleeve is padded so it gives confidence carrying the iPad.

When I purchased my iPad Pro, I bought the smart keyboard case along with it thinking it would be nice to have a keyboard at the ready. Just a few days after, I realized that while the keyboard was handy to have, it was extremely difficult to use in hand since it didn’t fold more than 50-degrees – if that.

So I also purchased this folio case for when I am traveling. It is well constructed with durable materials, as you’d expect from any Apple product. It works flawlessly and never comes unattached from the ipad.

It doesn’t offer the best fall protection since it’s open from three sides but that’s to be expected from a lightweight case. Overall I am very happy with the folio case.

This iPad Pro case is nearly perfect. It is a two part protector consisting of a rear encasing and a front encasing. The rear encasing will not work or attach without the front encasing being attached to the iPad.

There are some pros and a few cons I will list. PROS: Excellent fit, all buttons, speaker and connection openings align perfectly, offers great protection for the rear of the iPad, good protection for the sides and corners of the iPad and decent protection for the screen, it has a retractable rear stand, it has an excellent iPencil holder which does a great job of securing the iPencil for use and charging.

lastly, the case is very attractive, not at all bulky or obstrusive and it is very nicely priced for what you get. CONS: The charger connector entry point cover is somewhat obstructing to the user and it makes connection and disconnection of the charging cable more tedious than it really should be, the sides of this protector.

especially the corners. could use an improved shock absorbing design. particularly for the 12. 9 inch model, this protector comes with an integrated flexible clear plastic protection screen which only serves to protect the screen from dust and smudging but it detracts from the functionality of the iPencil.

I ended up cutting off thescreen film using an X-Acto knife. furthermore I’d recommend a portfolio style protector with an actual padded screen cover if you’re looking for better screen protection especially in the 12.

9 inch model, the fit of this protector is very precise thus it poses the possibility of damaging your screen with pressure while you’re placing the front cover on your iPad if you are not careful about your hand and finger positions and how you apply pressure while you’re trying to engage the front cover on your iPad.

so be very careful, mindful and patient while you are placing the front cover on your iPad, this protector could also benefit from an adjustable multi position rear stand versus its one position stand, lastly there are only very few color options.

The cons I listed are not serious enough to warrant this product as bad, but do keep it from being a 5 star product, in my opinion. This product however is a great value and it surpasses many other similar, far less protective, less precise and more expensive protectors on the market.

Overall, I would really recommend this product, but I did want to be very specific about the nuisances I experienced so others could know exactly what they might expect.

This Smart Folio’s surface feels smooth and also it fits my iPad well.

I got this for my iPad for when it wasn’t connected to the Magic Keyboard. I needed to be able to hold my iPad and read for school. This case fit on my iPad great and provided a lot of protection for it.

If I wasn’t needing to connect to my magic keyboard (it connects via a big magnet in the back) this would have been the perfect case! But after fighting to get it on and off a couple times, I realized the future of this case for me was coming to a quick end.

I was worried I would most likely break the case or stretch it out. So I returned it and bought a case that attaches also via a magnet so it’s just a simple pop off and on to both keyboard and cover.

I do lose the protection I had with this cover but I carry mine in a padded bag for when I leave the house with it. All in all – great case for full-time use. My pencil charged when attached without any issues and can be closed with it in place.

There is also a spot in the back to slip the pencil into. Part-time, it is too protective and is not an easy insert and removal (which you really don’t want for this type of case). If you’re using a Bluetooth keyboard you’d be great, but if you’re trying to use the new Magic Keyboard – you may want something for easier swapping.

The quality of the product is amazing. The only issue I have with it is upon closing the case, it’s not a tight fit. It wiggles around and there’s an excess of fabric hanging so it might take you a few tries to get it even.

It can be quite annoying. I picked this case because of the fabric though, when you use it you can’t see every mark on it. Another issue I had was with the buttons. They’re hard to press because there’s an excess amount of rubber on the edges, which is good if you drop your iPad.

In all- it’s annoying to use but I know that my item is well protected.

Truthfully, I didn’t think I’d like this case. I almost returned it. But I really wanted to protect my new iPad and decided to keep the case. I immediately liked the way it hugs the iPad and protects every surface.

The integrated corner bumpers are neat, the iPad speakers still sound awesome and I appreciate the various configurations the case provides to make using my iPad easier. I love that I can charge my Apple Pencil through the edge of the case, and that the magnetic “latch” that holds the cover over the iPad face, also holds my Pencil securely in place.

This is a well though-out and engineered case. Probably the best out there. I’m glad I have it. I’ve managed to drop test it a few times with no problems! I recommend this iPad Pro case 100%.

I really like this case and it will make the perfect gift for my family’s tablets this Christmas. It provides all around protection and fits snugly! I love that it has a kickstand and an awesome shoulder carrying strap.

It also has a pencil holder, which is super convenient. All the buttons work well, and there is easy access to the ports. This is a very nice quality case.

I purchased three different iPad covers one was even an OtterBox over $90 then this one ( Saharacase ) and a $35 one from turtle— after half the day of putting them on and trying them out- this one was the best.

I did remove the screen protector though ,I already have one that you put on the iPad – I don’t care for the screen protectors that come with some cases and I don’t know why they do it and don’t know anybody that uses already installed screen protectors -it’s easy to remove the screen protector though – this is solid and nice! I can’t believe it beat out OtterBox case! – that’s going back – I’m keeping this one.

At first, I was excited for this case as it has the soft rubber and hard plastic covering. Before I even got it on my iPad, the built in screen protector fell off. Then as I’m putting the case on, the top two clips do not lock into place.

I have tried multiple times and multiple different ways and the case still does not lock together. I’d be lying if I said this is a good working case.

I plumped for this over the new, and more expensive, Magic Keyboard. For me the fact that it folds flat and allows you to use the iPad as a tablet without having to be detached was important. The typing experience is just fine and i’m not trying to replace my MacBook with it.

If I had have been, I probably would have chosen differently. Two things though; the cover is protective and slim, but it’s finish is not particularly premium. It could definitely do with an upgrade in the looks and feel departments.

Also, on the older and smaller iPad Pro, it had a folding design that meant the keyboard wasn’t facing out when folded flat against the back of the iPad. This is no longer the case, and for me, that’s a significant downgrade in functionality/usability.

Like the best Apple products, ‘it just works’. Good size, full QWERTY keyboard. No connections – the magnet aligns the keyboard / folio to the iPad in the correct position. Keyboard is active when the ipad screen is sitting up.

If you fold the keyboard round the back of the ipad, the keyboard is disabled. The keyboard acts as a cover for the ipad screen too, switching off the ipad when closed. Keys are responsive, large enough and comfortable to use.

Looks and feels good. Thoroughly recommended.

I can’t believe I bought this keyboard folio under the “heavy use” category. It’s brilliant honestly, with the only sign of wear I see is one spot on the back from a sticker or something. I’ve tried wiping it away, and it has stayed, but I don’t care.

After a good cleaning, I can’t feel it and its not like I’m constantly looking at that side of the case. So to me, it’s practiaclly new.
