20 Best Indoor Grill With Removable Plates (2023 Updated)

I previously had the large ovoid shaped Foreman grill (model GRP0004B). Because of the curved ends, burgers were okay at the ends, but could barely get 2 t-bones on the plates. Cooking 2 t-bones on this new large squarish grill is much easier with room to spare, like adding wedges of onion.

Warmup time is about the same despite the new one has more surface area: both old and new one use 1000W. A power LED lets you know it has power. The old one had one LED which went off when cooking temperature was reached.

The new one has a ready LED that comes on when the grill is at cooking temperature which is more intuitive the grill is ready. The plates come off with a push if a release button, and reinstall just by pushing on.

The plates clean up nicely and easily. I’ve noticed some white spots or lumps form on the backside of the plates when left to drip-dry in the dish rack. Probably some oxidation, so a better coating on the back would help reduce the ugly spotting.

I hand wash (recommended), but leave in the dish rack to air dry. I like the drip tray is attached to the grill. With the old one, I might move the grill but forget to also move the drip tray hence leaving a mess on the table.

An improvement would be wider ends on the drip tray. The pointed ends are harder to hand wash. The cord wraps just a bit over once around the grill. Short cords are often used to reduce safety risks, but limits where the grill can be positioned relative to the wall outlet, and I’d hate to resort to extension cords even when properly gauged.

I don’t have a space to store vertically, so I cannot attest to how stable is the grill when stored on end. This is right-sized for family cooking. In a few years when this one gets replaced, would be nice if temperature control was available on the large grills to avoid burning the outsides of really thick steaks to get the middle at medium.

The thick steaks take longer to cook in the middle, but the outsides finish cooking before the middle gets done. Lower temperature with longer cook time would help prevent scorching the outsides while getting the insides just right.

While I have a separate timer to gauge how long to cook something, an in-built timer that shuts off the grill would be a handy safety feature to ensure the grill shuts down in case you forget the grill, you get distracted or busy, or is left on should an emergency immediately pull you away.

I got this for my husband, as he enjoys cooking steaks on these grills twice weekly. This is a good one to have! First off, width wise it seems bigger then prev models. Depth wise it seems to be about the same.

It is advertised on the packaging as heating up faster and I didn’t really notice a difference in the few times I’ve used it. Other than there there were 3 key features that I really like! First, there is a single button on the bottom outside that you press to release the plates.

It cleanly and effortlessly releases the removable plates for cleaning. There is a matching button on the top and bottom. I find this a vast improvement over the method of the prev model. Second the drip tray seems to be slightly bigger and secures easily, clipping onto the grill on the bottom which protects counters from hot grease! It slides in & out of the catch easily, for removal and cleanup.

I love this feature because when cooking, the grease tray sometimes wasn’t quite up against the grill on prev models, resulting in a messy counter top, and once was initially placed the wrong way, slightly melting the incorrect edge.

Lastly, there is feet that can be extended or tucked away from the back of the grill, resulting in an angled surface for grease running into the drip tray for steaks and burgers, or being flat for cooking things like panini sandwiches.

One thing, however, that I have gotten in prev models and wished I had with this one, is either 1 or 2 grooved grey plastic scrapers, which l felt were useful in cleaning the plates and removing and larger clumps of congealed grease or larger crumbs and particles prior to cleaning.

All in all this is a great model, that we like cooking with, and are going to keep enjoying for some time to come. I will recommend this to others, as my husband already has to his friends.

I have been a George Foreman Grill fanatic since 1999. I honestly cook on my grill 4-5 times a week and make pretty much anything on it. I just bought this unit as my 4th grill after my 3rd ones Teflon started peeling.

The first meal was a ribeye steak and grilled zucchini. It seemed a bit slower to heat up than my previous grill, but it is larger and was less than 5 minutes. It cooked everything evenly and well (as I’ve come to expect).

The reason for the review is the different coating. This is my first one with the advanced coating. After sitting for about 6 hours I just took the plates off and ran then under hot water. The fat and bits of steak washed right off.

I didn’t need to use a washcloth or anything! I hope this coating stays like this! Note the specs say adjustable cooking temp, this is not true. Just the usual plug in for on, unplug for off. I’m fine with this and have been very happy for over 20 years.

It says it can fit 5 hamburger patties on it at one time but it really is too small and could probably only fit 3 at a time. (Using the standard frozen Walmart brand patties as reference. ) the plates are kind of wonky to use.

You have to make sure they are latched (and the latch is kinda weak) before using and they kind of slide around as well. Haven’t used it to cook hamburgers yet but did try hotdogs. not a good idea, kind of burnt them if left on one side too long.

Did try to avoid it, but the plates get hot pretty quick and its hard to predict the temperature and pressure when cooking. Overall, its not bad and the removable plates do make it soooo much easier to clean.

just wish the price was lower cause its not worth the $50-60.

A while ago, while prepping a meal, I turned around in my little galley of a kitchen and inadvertently swept my previous George Foreman grill right off the counter and into a terminal plunge to the floor.

For some years I had got very good service from this appliance, and so I went looking online for another GF grill. When it arrived, I noticed that it was as sturdily constructed as the earlier one, although it lacked some of its features (e.

g. , red-green readiness lights. The new grill was a less expensive model than my previous one). There were some pleasant surprises, too. The new grill cooked a couple of pork chops thoroughly but silently.

And cleaning the cooking surfaces was exceptionally easy. Along with some other reviewers, however, I find the cooking plates too small. I’m a household of one, and I only grill one food at a time, but a couple of chops take up most of the available room.

I would suggest that a family might find a larger GF grill a necessity.

Just arrived and I used it to cook 2 salmon filets, 5 oz each. The salmon took up most of the grill, although I could have squeezed another filet on. You could put 5 small hamburgers on but this really is a grill for 3 not 5 people.

After heating the grill until the red light went off, about 6 minutes, it took 4 minutes to cook the salmon the way I like it, medium. Cleaning was so easy because when the grill cooled, I simply detached the grill plates.

I hand washed and will not put them in the dishwasher because they could bang against something and chip, plus it takes seconds to wash by hand. Also, I have an oil mister because aerosol oil spray will harm the non-stick coating on the grill plates.

Putting the grill plates back in place was so easy. The top plate is a little wiggly or loose but that doesn’t affect cooking.

This is the worst gill I have ever had. Yes, removing griddles are great. But that’s all cause it is so hard to clean. No way would I put something that dirty in my dishwasher with my other dishes. Husband likes cheese on a hamburger and between the hamburger itsself and the cheese, I have to lay in the sink, spray with dawn power foam and let it sit.

It still takes some scrubbing to get it clean. Makes you want to hide it from husband! I have not had it long, it was expensive but I am again looking for a new griddle.

I’ve had the grill for about 3 weeks and it is performing well. The grill cooks well and it’s easy avoid burning food. You can cook straight from the fridge or freezer with great results. I find that the hinge makes it feel like the grill is broken when opened or closed, but that’s just something to get used to.

There is a feature that allows you to tilt the grill surface to better drain grease while cooking. The tilt feature is a good feature, but it tilts too far and the food actually slides off the grill onto the counter when you open it to check the cooking progress.

I would appreciate if the grill actually turned off when the power button was pressed. The display continues to be illuminated, meaning you have to unplug the grill whenever not in use. It would be so much more convenient if it could be left plugged into the electric outlet.

All-in-all this is a quality grill with great features and simple, accurate and efficient controls and it does the job well. With a few design tweaks this would be an outstanding grill. I don’t know how well the grill will stand up, but based on my old grill, it should last for years.

We’ll see.

This was given to me as a gift and I must say that this has got to be one of the best gifts that I’ve ever received. Mine came with the ceramic grill plates and the waffle plates, and a week later ordered the baking pan attachment.

Here are the pros to this grill. 1) the plates are removable thus making them very easy to wash. (If you’ve ever owned an older model you know that they’re a pain to wash. ) 2) You can change out the plates! My kids haven’t asked for regular waffles but I have made cinnamon roll waffles.

In the baking pan I have made, cinnamon rolls, pig in a blanket, pizza (cut in half) and brownies. (Just adjust the lever so it isn’t sloped) 3) It heats up in 5 minutes, has an adjustable temperature, and a built in timer.

4) When grilling, all the grease drains out into the drip tray. 5) Cook time is faster when using grill plates because it cooks from top and bottom. My favorite use is of course for burgers because I don’t have grease spattering everywhere and they cook faster.

The only con I can think of. 1) ceramic is a bit tricky to clean when food sticks to it. But a tip for cleaning ceramic is to sprinkle with baking soda and with damp fingers rub over the areas where food is stuck and it comes right off.

I’m pretty sure I haven’t used this to it’s full potential and even then it’s one of my favorite products and my mom is planning on buying one soon for her kitchen after using mine.

I enjoy and appreciate everything about this little red gem!! Before purchasing, I did considerable research on what would best fill my needs. I thought this might just do it since I have limited space and liked the idea of changing out the additional light weight non-stick trays for varied dishes.

I’ve actually used them all and have had the Ventray for only about 2 weeks! I use the flat tray pretty much on a daily basis for my eggs/bacon. I made meatballs today with the Takoyaki tray. I’ve used the grill plate for chicken and will be using it for my rib eye steaks soon! The deep plate I used for a 3 lb.

chuck roast. perfect!! I was going to store the Ventray it in a cabinet but since I use it every single day. it sits very nicely on my unused flat top stove. It’s not super hot on High so things like bacon, chicken etc.

may take a wee bit longer to cook. I think that actually keeps oil spatter down. I don’t know why anyone wouldn’t like using the Ventray. It’s an especially perfect size for singles and couples! I couldn’t be happier and look forward to trying some of the recipes in the cookbook provided.

The BEST grill I have ever owned! Got this for my husband and he ABSOLUTELY LOVES it!!! He is very picky about his grills but he absolutely loves this one. He uses it at least 2 times per week (I’m not kidding!).

I take away one star because I don’t know if it last. I had this for a little over 2 weeks and almost use it daily as I love it so much. It saves time, almost no mess on the counter top and easy to clean.

I use it with the GoGreen Power (GG-13002MS) 3 Outlet Power Strip that has an on/off switch so I can easily control the temp. I can add a timer to it if I want to or get a smart plug. The floating hinge allows the lid move up about an inch from the hinged side so food can be cooked evenly.

That’s plenty of height for my need. The lid is heavy enough to hold thick sandwich down. What surprised me most is the no mess when cooking salmon and sausages. I hate the mess with frying pans and not be able to keep the sausages in place for all sides cooking.

This solved the issues! To keep the food moist, I do brush oil on them and seat the front legs higher on a chopping board for just a slight tilt to stop the juice completely drained off. So far, I made French toast, Cheese sandwiches, panini sandwiches which came out perfect.

I cooked Salmon, 6 Italian Sausages at a time, Spam.

I used this grill, for the first time last night, to cook 3 hamburger patties, and they cooked perfectly, just follow the guidelines in the instructions for how long to cook them, according to the doneness you prefer.

I initially prepped the grill according to the instructions-wash the removeable plates and the drip tray and dry them, before first use. Also, wipe off the main unit with a damp paper towel and dry it.

The ready light on my unit is amber, instead of green. The instructions weren’t updated regarding the ready light, but that is of no consequence regarding how nice this little unit is. The unit has no off/on switch; you just plug it in, but that’s OK too.

The plates are super easy to remove and put back on. The hamburgers were so good, that I don’t think I’ll be going to a fast food place any time soon. A real winning product!.

I bought this to grill burgers. I eat a half pound ground beef or ground lamb burger for breakfast and dinner. Frying in a pan makes a terrible mess from splattered grease. This is large enough and hot enough to cook a half pounder.

I takes 4. 5 minutes. I take the fat from the drip tray and pour it over the finished burger since i eat no carbs for health reasons. I bought the larger size for the removable plates. They are cool enough to handle by the time I finish eating.

Takes less than 1 minute to wash them and drip tray.

We have owned an original George Forman, large and bulky, for many years. The heating elements were starting to malfunction and not cook evenly. The grease was EVERYWHERE. It spilled in the front tray, but also, got into the hinges, etc.

It gave great taste to salmon, bacon, hamburgers; it was a big decision to change. Also, the GRILLING PLATES were not removable. Cleaning was a horror show. Now, removable plate grills make cleanup much easier.

Fast heating, it is smaller in size, and can stand vertically. Not quite the quality and size of the original, but, doable.

I know this has “4-serving” in it’s name, but the Rapid Grill Series 4-Serving Removable Plate Electric Indoor Grill and Panini Press is perfect for 1 to 2 servings. unless your portions are really small.

Oddly enough, I used mine to grill marinated tofu, zucchini, and some buns the first time. I could fit a slab or 2 of tofu and the sliced zucchini next to it perfectly. I guess if I packed everything tighter together I could’ve probably fit more on, but old grill habits cause me to make a little room between each item.

Although I didn’t make a panini, after toasting the buns last minute, I am positive this press will make panini’s amazingly. I was skeptical on how fast it was supposed to heat up, but when I tried it the green pre-heat light was glowing within 4 minutes! I was impressed.

This makes it perfect for quick lunches or dinners! The only downside I can come up with is that there is no adjusting the heat level. But that’s not really a downside, just need to cook the thicker food a little longer.

I also like the feature on the back of the press where you can wrap your cord around for easy storing (and for the grease pan that actually connects to the press). When you do have it upright for storing it is surprisingly thin, so perfect to save space on a counter top or dish cabinet!.

The George Foreman Rapid Grill Series 4-Serving Removable Plate Electric Indoor Grill and Panini Press is a nice quality all in one grill. It has a very nice size and what is very important it is very easy to clean.

The removable grill plates have a nonstick ceramic coating which are very durable and can be placed in the dishwasher. I love how versatile this device is. It is an electric indoor and outdoor grill and a panini press.

I really like how easy it is to use and how fast you can make delicious food with it. I used it for hamburgers and chicken and everything was so juicy and perfectly cooked. The grill really takes a short time preheating.

The fat-removing slope ensures healthy grilling and an easy clean up. It has the perfect size and does not take up much space. I like that you can use it inside or outside. I love trying out more recipes with this great grill! I highly recommend it.

I have owned George Foremans since the beginning and the products have come a long way over the years. We have an original, the removable plates and now the submersible, dishwasher safe version. A few things of this upgraded version I really like is the draining now drips through the middle and edge of the heating plates itself instead of draining down into a small tray that you have to place at the end of the unit.

The tray beneath is large and can hold a lot of grease. It safely slides underneath and stays in place until you are done cooking. It heats up quickly and cooks the food evenly. I was able to place 2 burgers on the unit with room for one more if I place them accordingly.

The issues I’ve noticed is not all the grease drains through the holes in the middle and edge of the plates. It does have some on the edge but I think the unit needs to be a little more angled so all the grease either drops down the middle or slides down to the edge holes.

So I did have to wipe off excess grease when I was done. Also the plug in part needs to be wiped down after removing it as grease can splatter at the hinge. Once the plug in/hinge is removed, the top and bottom are no longer attached.

Which is good for placing in the dishwasher but I guess I’m just use to the older versions where the top and bottom are always hinged. Either way, once it cooled off it easily fits in the dishwasher and all the pieces comes out nice and clean.

Can’t wait to see what George Foreman comes up with next.

I had a George Forman grill during what u would call the peak of its popularity and “trendiness”. I’ve always appreciated the way that they cook various meats, and there was always something satisfying about watching the drip tray fill with all the excess fat and grease.

This grill keeps that feature, and frankly gives me that sense of nostalgia and brand recognition that I’ve come to love with foreman grills. What I love about this updated version out of the gate is it’s size! I have a large family and having kids wait patiently is sometimes easier said than done! More surface area means far less “is it almost done” additionally the unit itself heats up faster than other models so cook time (really wait time for temp) is a breeze.

The hinge is thicker on this model as well, accommodating thicker burgers or sandwiches! This is of course a bonus because squishing a sandwich down to fit it sometimes has the effect of a lower quality sandwich.

What put this one the top though is the ability to take off the control module and then throw the whole thing In the water to clean! Very smart design and definitely has cut down on the old school versions when it comes to cleaning the unit.

It’s got a great compact design and looks stylish and not clunky on the kitchen counter. Great product, I highly recommend it and am getting almost daily use out of mine’.

I just want to start off by saying this grill makes the best burgers I have ever had!! It can only make 2 big burgers at a time but still it only took me 4 minutes to make 2 big burger patties and they tasted so good! I love the taste of all the food I have made on this grill.

In the last week alone I have made hotdogs, grilled toast, and burgers and every bit of it turned out so tasty. All I had to do was plug this grill in and it heated up, I knew it was done heating when I seen the green light.

The little green light takes the guess work out of guessing if the grill is at the correct temperature or not for your food. After I was done cooking I was able to just unplug the grill and it cooled itself down.

I also really love that every bit of this grill can be cleaned. The outside of the grill and the grill plate are both made of stainless steel so that makes it super easy to clean. The only thing I see that I would like it to have is removable plates but that’s ok I was able to just wash the plates and grill the old fashion way in the sink instead of in the dish washer.

I like that this grill does have a removable drip pan that catches any access oil that’s dripped from any meat made on it. I would recommend this grill to anyone looking for a compact grill that doesn’t mind hand washing it.

I can see myself using this grill for a long time to come, I have so many ideas I want to make on this grill! This would also make a great gift for anyone looking for a gift for someone who loves to cook because it makes quick but tasty food!.

The two of us have been using a George Foreman Grill in our house for more years than we can remember. For the price they are hard to beat for the convenience and ease of cleaning. This one is our first with the variable temperature control with which we will experiment.

While giving it 5 stars we view these as temporary residents of our home as the non-stick coating tends stop working in 1 to 3 years despite our best efforts. That said for the price we are still pleased as we work it out to costing us less than $0.

75 a week before it is time to replace the unit. This unit had a clip, that holds the removable grill plate break after 3 months. We had our receipt and found the warranty process fair and easy to navigate.

This is the third grill we have owned. Like the other two, although I have used it only once to date, it does a nice job grilling just as the others. The grill plates are easy to get off and wash nicely.

I would rate this 5 stars except two things annoy me. First, I thought the grill would be able to hold as much as the other two, but it doesn’t quite do that. Secondly, a reason that continues to plague these grills, neither of the 2 other drip catchers I have left over from the old machines will work under this grill.

So, if I need to use the grill a second time immediately (which is more likely because it doesn’t hold quite as much food), I can’t just slip another one under the grill to catch the grease. I have to empty the new one out and reuse it.

Not earth shattering, but annoying. Lastly, I would caution veteran owners, there were no spatulas included to use on the grill. The old ones I have work fine and I prefer them to a regular spatula, so if I was to give this as a gift I would wonder if an error was made in packaging the grill by leaving them out.

Awesome. It was packaged with care. I had to order this product specifically from Walmart because I ordered it from Amazon and had to return it. So I learned my lesson. Only order fragile equipment from Walmart.

This was packaged so tightly there was no way it could have been damaged. Thank you. It’s an amazing grill. Oh this was my second grill I bought from Walmart. They both are awesome.

I have been a George Foreman enthusiast for many years. I grill food at least 4-5 times per week. My previous teflon-coated GF grill was starting to flake so I thought I would try the new ceramic plates grill since they were on sale.

These removable ceramic plates are a big improvement! Less sticks to them than the teflon version. I try not to wash grease down my drain so I keep a little spray bottle filled with water on the counter and simply spray the plates after use, turn on the grill for 45 seconds, and then wipe what is left on the grill with a paper towel.

They are pretty clean by then so when I put the plate in the sink to clean with soap and water, I feel like not much is left to clean and grease doesn’t go down my drain. I also like the fact that this grill heats up faster than my previous GF grill.

The green light is supposed to glow “green” when it is ready to grill, but it comes on immediately when I plug it in. This is unfortunate, but I just set my timer for 5 minutes and know that the grill is hot enough for cooking by then.

A minor disappointment that the green light isn’t a useful indicator. Even with that “flaw”, I still give 5 stars because clean-up is so easy.

The George Foreman ceramic grill works great for preparing food. I’m single and it’s perfect for cooking one or two items at the same time such as steaks, chops and fish. I have purchased several of the ceramics ones over the years and normally they last about 10 to 12 months before the sticking starts to be so bad that it becomes a chore to use them.

It almost seems like planned obsolescence because each one sticks in the same area on the bottom plate, namely right in the middle. The last one I purchased about six months ago is now sticking so bad now that I need to buy another grill.

And they really don’t sell plates separately for the model that I use. It’s a shame because but for the sticking issue it would be an exceptional grill.

Heats up reasonably quickly, can get 4 large or 5 smaller chicken breasts on it. Cooks evenly and the juices/fat drains into the drip tray. Easy to clean by removing the plates which just clip on or off.

Ideal for grilling all kinds of meat, fish or vegetables.

I reviewed this item last year when I received it. Having owned it for perhaps 4 or 5 months, I feel the need to update my prior favorable review! This is a piece of JUNK not worthy of the George Foreman name.

The top grill plate will not stay on and when you are lowering it over the meat being grilled, it simply falls off!! I am careful to make sure it “snaps/clicks” in place after I wash the top grill plate.

Thought it was just me, but it happened twice to my husband and he asked, “Where did you get this piece of junk?” Try getting the top grill plate to click into place when it is hot! The only good thing about this grill is the silver cover.

Do not waste your money like I did!.

Just right for one (1) or two (2) people. Easy clean up with the removable plates. Lid has a very nice expansion knob for those triple layer sandwiches or 3-4 large stuffed hamburgers. Great for Senior Citizens, not too heavy to carry or maintain or clean.

It is “Senior Friendly” product. Perfect for those who want less pots and pans and healthy fat REMOVAL too. This model is the perfect one for l-2 people, with space for 4 hamburgers easily. The “Removable Plates” and also most important the “Function Lights” Red and Green one on the lid.

It tells me when my George Foreman Senior Friendly Grill is ready for cooking. Thank you George Foreman, for it is people like you that make a product for people like me so very “Senior Friendly” to use in my kitchen.

This is the third George Foreman grill I’ve owned and it is by far my favorite. The first thing that caught my eye was the silver finish that meshes well with my other small appliances. This model has removable trays, which makes cleaning SO much easier than my older models.

I made bacon this morning and it cooked evenly and was deliciously crispy. I also get a great deal of satisfaction from seeing how much grease ends up in the drip tray! (This was purchased at Lowe’s.

It’s a very nice unit the same as my 15 yr old one. I like the removable plates which are easy to clean. I would have purchased the beautiful green unit but it didn’t have removable plates. In general, it works very well except that it is a little too large for a single person but I can “cook ahead” and refrigerate the remainder.

This grill meets my expectation of removable plates with nonstick coating. I have an older small George Foreman grill which I love but is difficult to clean. The circle on the bottom of the grill is handy to store the cord.

The drain tray is a good size. This grill has neither an on/off nor a timer button. Plug it in and a light comes on. Another light comes on when the grill is heated. I have to use my microwave or oven timer or ask Alexis to set cooking time.

My chicken breasts were perfect, and cleanup was so much easier than my old grill.

This is a favorite product in my house. We use this nearly every week. The removable Plate makes for easy cleanup. Love to make Panini’s or a gooey grilled cheese in the winter. I love the way the grill is set so the fat drains off the grilled meats resulting in healthy meals for my family.

You will love it too!.

This is four servings only if you are serving mice. HOWEVER, I only use it for myself. I was barely able to fit two grilled cheese sandwiches on it. but that’s plenty for me. So I’m still very happy with it.

I’ve grilled a large steak and that’s wonderful, although I kind of wish all of the steak juices didn’t flow into the drip pan. The grill warms up quickly. Everything is easy to clean. It’s small and therefore easy to store.

Perfect for trailer camping when it’s hot outside and you don’t want to cook in the heat. Just use this and cook inside and stay cool!.

We absolutely loved this grill. The surface area is great, the plates are great – in fact we bought a second set to allow for double flat grilled and ribbed grills. This was excellent. The first one we bought worked great until just over the warranty period and then started showing an error message occasionally, until it simply stopped heating the grills.

We were very disappointed, but decided that all of the other features were worth spending the big $ and buying again. The replacement grill died with the exact same error, past warranty. I’m used to Breville making a reliable product…and expected a longer life of this especially when this grill costs so much more than the competition.

If reliability could be increased, this couldn’t be beat.

I have owned a Breville grill for several years now. I use it almost daily. I am extremely happy with it. I have seen the complaints about things sticking and the grills wearing, but people are obviously doing something wrong.

I seasoned my grill plates with olive oil and heat them for 5 minutes. Nothing has ever stuck. I only use silicone utensils so never a scratch. As for cleaning it is only ever dry wiped with a paper towel.

You just need common sense and this grill will last you years. I love it and have never had an issue with it. It works fantastic for all my grilling needs. I highly recommend this grill to everyone. You will almost stop using you stove top.

I purchased this grill mainly for searing sous vide meats after cooking. Once it arrived, we of course tried paninis and absolutely loved the result. Now, we are using this as our main appliance for cooking at the lake house, and I purchased another one for my parents once they visited and tried the panini.

I’ve also used the griddle function and I have cooked shredded hash browns for brunch. It is one of the most versatile small appliances I own and the ease of cleaning is unparalleled.

I love how it sears the meat. It’s smaller than it looks, but perfect for me. I washed the hood, grill and drip pan in the dish washer after making hamburgers they splatter a lot of grease! I was hesitant but they all came out nice from the washer.

Do Not use the sanitize option on washer. I used the normal wash cycle but I did not use heat to dry, (manual does not mention best Dish Washer option, only Not to use Sanitize) so I towel dry immediately after cycle completed.

I have the grill next to my stove and under my microwave which both have fan exhaust if needed. The unit is very light, but then if it were heavy it would be hard to wash by hand or dishwasher so it’s ok with me.

I live in SW Florida, I’m 72 years old. The outside temps have been brutal lately. Then there’s the pouring rains, so this Hamilton Searing Grill is the answer to my having a nice steak or two, on the grill and not break a sweat!.

I didn’t receive this product for free as other reviewers have. The cover was poorly designed. When you lift the cover, it doesn’t stay in the upright (vertical) position and falls to the horizontal position which causes the cover to come uncoupled from the base unit.

If you lift the cover while cooking and it becomes uncoupled from it’s plastic couplings, the cover is hot so you have to be careful when you put it back together again. The couplings are plastic. There is no off switch.

Pulling the plug is your off switch. If you forget to pull the plug, it stays on in the lowest heat setting (if you remember to put it to the lowest setting. The ceramic grill is not that easy to clean.

If you cook greasy food like hamburgers, grease gets into the small oval parts of the grill on top and under the grill and causes black stains that a dishwasher can’t take out. Cleaning the top of the grill is easy, it’s inside the small oval openings that need manual scrubbing if you can can insert a thin sponge.

The grill does do a good job of cooking, that’s why I gave it 4 stars. To solve the problem of the cover falling to the horizontal position, I put an empty box of plastic Wrap behind the cover, so when I open the cover it rests on the box in the vertical position.

I love my new grill and missed being able to have a gas grill because of the rules of condo living. Let me tell you, this grill fulfills that longing 100%. I’ve made several meats and veggies like kabobs, steaks, hamburgers and pork chops, and it left a sear on all of them with a taste just like gas grilling.

As far as the smoke that occurs while using? It definitely smokes, but I didn’t buy this grill to use indoors, but on my lanai, so I don’t care about that. To be fair the directions say to fill the drip pan with water as to not cause smoke, I have not done that because I never cared about the smoke.

I put some foil on the bottom of pan so that cleaning it is easy. I love that the grill itself is not made with teflon but it is ceramic which won’t chip like the former and is so easy to clean, the stuff just slides off when I spray it under the faucet with just water and soap.

The grill is just awesome and it reminds me of a mini grill with a lid that lifts like a regular grill that heats up fast and takes about as long as a gas grill to cook. I highly recommend it!.

I will not post a picture of this because mine has been used and loved so much, it looks gosh awful and it’s time for a new one. Lol. Where to begin? This thing works wonders. It cooks fish just right, it gives your chicken breast a nice line pattern, it makes perfect grilled cheese sandwiches.

If you haven’t used this to heat up your hamburger buns, you are missing out. I love that is takes most of the fat out of your foods.

I absolutely love the George Forman grill. It’s so quick and convenient to plug and grill inside. You get good healthy grilled food without the hassle of going in and out of the house especially if it’s raining or winter.

You don’t have to worry about a charcoal taste or scrubbing your grill to clean it. Clean up is so quick and easy with the non-stick coating on here. This is perfect for healthy eating, college kids, families, and would make a great wedding or house warming gift!.

Love this grill. It has a little container put under edge of the front of it that catches all of the grease in your food I really love that. I would improve this product by making it an real un no stick grill.

It does start sticking after used for 5 or 6 months even if you only use plastic utensils and you are keeping it clean but they are not suppose to stick. I like that I can turn temp way up or down and it makes grill marks on both sides of the food! The food is evenly cooked on both sides through to the middle.

It cools food a lot faster than a stove and healthier, less grease. It cooks enough for two people. Its just the right size for two people. fix e I highly recommend you to get this and try it.

This is the grill to make condo living complete. I have missed grilled for four years. We live in Florida and used to grill every day in our big house. I had resigned myself to pan frying and broiling until I somehow found this grill on the internet.

I always read reviews of indoor grills and they were never thoroughly positive until I started reading about the Zojirushi larger sized grill. Unbelievably great grilled flavor and rapid cooking. I almost want to buy a second one, just in case they ever decide to discontinue it.

Pros: Great grilled taste, rapid cooking, even the unmarinated boneless chicken breast is moist, great grilled buns, vegetables, EVERYTHING. Easy cleanup. Almost no “smoke” at all, jut great grilled smells.

Cons: None found.

I bought this grill a couple of weeks ago. It is super convenient, and works really well. Super easy to clean and put away. Super happy with the product and the meals I’ve been able to grill on this.

This is a nice product with the heating element integrated into the cooking surface which makes it safer and easier to clean. The quality of the construction is very good.

Just like any other George foreman grill with Teflon coating, or any pan with Teflon, eventually the Teflon starts to wear off and your food starts sticking to it. Then it won’t wash off in the dishwasher, and if you scrub it with steel wool like you actually need to in order to get the stuck on food off, you end up scrubbing off even more of the Teflon which makes it even worse.

I have yet to find a way to actually get all the gunk off that has built up because of food sticking, and not coming off in the dish washer. About the best option I came up with was using a popsicle stick to push the stuck on food off and down into the drip tray, it is good for getting into the grooves of the plates, but not so great for getting the tops in-between the grooves.

Even with this issue I’m still considering buying another one just because I use it alot, rather than cooking in a skillet that would pop grease all over my stove.

I bought this today because I wanted to make sliders and needed an indoor grill. I’m so happy with this purchase. Not only is it new and improved but the plates are now removable for easier cleaning.

The price was $60, which I thought was fair. It says it’s also a panini press which I’m looking forward to using for sandwiches. All in all I’m happy with this purchase. If you’re looking for a grill and panini press, look this one up.
