An immersion blender is a handheld blender that can be used to blend ingredients directly in a pot or bowl. This is a convenient way to make soap because you can blend the ingredients without having to transfer them to a separate blender.
Immersion blenders are also great for making soups and sauces.
Immersion Blender Variable Speed Blender Synonymous with best-in-class blenders, Vitamix has created a high-performance immersion blender that makes easy work of mixing or pureing directly in a bowl or pot.
It’s equipped with five variable speeds to stir delicate sauces, pure baby food, whip cream or blend large batches of soup. A scratch-resistant guard protects the stainless-steel blades from marring pots and pans.
One-handed operation is easy ” simply twist to lock into place and press the button. Five variable speed settings allow you to blend an array of foods in seconds. LED light display. Ergonomic handle.
I’ve used this a number of times since picking it up and it has done everything I’ve asked it to do without issue. My main uses are for single serve smoothies and soups or curries on the stove top. I wasn’t a fan of pouring hot soup into my full size Vitamix and having extra large items to clean (whether easy or not) as well as the weariness of things like curries eventually leaving stains or smells.
Having had a Vitamix for 7 years I’m confident in their quality and purchased this to resolve the above and it has not disappointed on performance at all. The thing I was most surprised about is the amount of suction force it has.
The instructions say to keep the bottom of the bell (base) about an inch from the bottom when using which is easier said than done! I know it won’t damage my cookware or cups/glasses but I think it’s more so larger items can get pulled under and into the blades.
Anything higher than the second power level and it’s a workout to keep it from pulling its way to the bottom and wanting to stay there! As stated earlier, I purchased this item because I trust Vitamix to be a well built and durable brand and this is no exception.
It feels sturdy, isn’t too heavy (for me, at least), and is super easy to clean just like my full size one. It’s definitely in the top tier on pricing but I think you get what you pay for and this will continue working and providing more power and range than most below it’s price for years and years after they have stopped working.
It’s also SO much quieter than the full size Vitamix machines. I can just about carry on a conversation at regular volume even at the highest setting. My biggest complaint is the lack of accessories.
Maybe it’s because it’s still a newer product from the company but many of the competitors have various accessories and storage options to complement the main product while all you have with this one is the base with the motor and the detachable wand with the blade.
I’d have liked a blade protector (other than the flimsy piece of clear plastic it came packed with) that could snap on to the bottom of the bell for storage or even a storage bag/case. I also hope they come out with some additional accessories like a mini chopper or blender whisk attachment in the future to expand the versatility.
Overall it’s a great immersion blender that will handle anything you throw at it and looks great as well, but is well above the price of just about every competitor while having the bare minimum included and no accessories available for it.
Time will tell if the latter is remedied but I definitely do not regret this purchase regardless.
I have used many different Vitamix products over the years in my mother’s kitchen, at work, and now in my own home! I purchased this immersion blender to replace a different brand that was just not up to par anymore.
When I was first buying products for my kitchen I couldn’t afford the Vitamix price tag–but after using them at work I realized they produce the golden standard of blenders, and knew I wanted to eventually replace my cheaper cooking tools with VitaMix products.
This immersion blender is definitely more of an investment than the cheaper options out there, but it is well worth the price. If you take care of these products from Vitamix, you’ll have them forever.
With this immersion blender, you get all of the Vitamix power in a very compact little package. I have used this stick blender to make homemade mayonnaise numerous times, as well as to emulsify dressings, and to homogenize the consistency of certain soups.
It is marvelous and I am very pleased with the power, and quality of this immersion blender.
Awesome immersion blender! In the month or so I’ve had this immersion blender, I’ve made beautiful single-servings of “nice” cream (vegan ice cream), sauces, dressings, smaller amounts of hummus and baba ghanouj, and smoothies, and I’ve pureed soups in the pan.
Because of the price, I had to jusify buying this Vitamix Immersion Blender. But I am so glad I did! Here are my reasons: Reason #1: I’ve now had my full-sized Vitamix reconditioned model 5300 for several years and I depend on it, using it several times a week.
I adore that appliance–It has transformed my cooking and our diet. The one thing it doesn’t do well is make small amounts easily. (Well, and it is noisy–but we are okay with that!) To make smaller amounts (of things that my current immersion blender wouldn’t do well) I use the Personal Cup Adapter–It works, but it is more clean-up than using the regular Vitamix pitcher.
So that was the first reason I was interested in this immersion blender when it first came onto the market. Reason #2: I’ve always loved immersion blenders, and have had 2 or 3 over the past 40 years.
My current Cuisinart one works well, no complaints. So I was going to get along without this product. BUT this past year, I’ve ditched my nonstick pans and invested in Staub enameled cast iron pots and pans.
I wanted the durability and love the colors–Each one is a work of art, and they are fabulous to cook with! I’m a total convert. (I will share that buying the Everything Pan and this Vitamix Immersion Blender was the impetus for me to get the Williams-Sonoma credit card and that 20% off reward the first day.
Most of my Staub, I’ve bought on sale, gently used on eBay or as factory seconds–hard to even find the tiny flaws. ) Anyway, I digress–The cuisinart immersion blender has a “sharp” stainless steel bottom, which would scratch my new pans–The ability to puree soups or smooth out sauces right in the pan matters to me, so voila! This was the answer.
I have been impressed by its power–and I love having variable speeds. It’s way quieter than the full-sized Vitamix. It pulverizes hard frozen ingredients like they’re nothing at all, and the size of the head is small enough that I can use it in a wide-mouth Mason jar.
No, it’s not AS powerful as the full-sized Vitamix, for that truly silky smooth effect, making nut milks and fake cheeses, vegan yogurt–all of which I do weekly– but wow, it is way more powerful than the cuisinart and I find myself using it frequently, right alongside the full-sized Vitamix.
Like my cuisinart, it is super easy to clean, just twist off the head from the motor body. Blades are sharp, so take care in handling. Because I have low cabinets and I want to keep it on the counter, I disassemble it and stand the 2 parts up–It takes up a few inches more counter space than the cuisinart immersion blender did, but it’s SO worth it.
The NutriBullet NBI50100 Immersion Blender With Whisk – Black Dives right into ingredients, giving you full control over speed and texture as you mix directly in your pot, bowl, or cup. I’ve used all the functionalities/attachments so far and I’ve been really happy with all of them! I have no need anymore for my Cuisinart mini food processor (this attachment does the job better and with easier cleanup).
I haven’t gotten the “motor overload” smell yet which is a good sign. The UX and symbols is dumb-proof and I like that the blending attachment is pretty solid steel. In general all the parts seem well-made.
We’ll see how it stands the test of time! Folks have said the handle is a little heavy which I agree with but it’s not a big deal since you’re not supposed to be blending continuously for over a minute anyway.
Not a bad tradeoff for longterm durability (fingers crossed) I would say.
Wow, I’ve been meaning to try something like this for forever, and I am SO glad I did. This thing is POWERFUL! I get the same thrill as squeezing a power drill. Most importantly, it is so much easier than a blender! Especially being trapped at home these days, I feel like alllll I do is clean dishes and it is so annoying to try to poke my scrub brush down into the nooks and crannies of my blender – which leaks by the way.
Instead this thing is a magic want // power tool to just poke into the food: smoothie, cake mix etc, and it’s FUN! Makes me want to cook more. Love it! Oh lastly it takes up no counter space space. Big win! – Just as fun as a power tool – Declutter counter top – SOO much easier to clean.
Win win! (Ps, don’t literally throw away the blender – just give it away or put it in your basement or where you put kitchen stuff you’ll never use, haha. ).
Throughout this pandemic, I have found myself pushing myself to the limit in terms of recipes and cooking techniques. Whisking, blending, whipping, etc. Usually, I would need separate tools for each of these tasks and in some cases a lot of arm power! In steps the immersion blender with its sleek, compact design and awesome grip! I’ve found myself taking this out for so many different recipes.
Prior to getting this immersion blender, I would sometimes have trouble over blending/whipping things. The added control with this blender has eliminated those issues for me and this is now my go to gadget!.
For quick, light-duty blending applications, the Waring WSB33X immersion blender offers reliability in a small package. A 7-inch fixed shaft and aggressive stainless steel blade quickly take on tasks such as pureeing fruit or whipping eggs in a shallow bowl or pan.
Lightweight and compact, the immersion blender is ergonomically designed for easy, comfortable use. The Waring WSB33X features a two-speed high-efficiency motor and has a 3-gallon capacity. Small yet powerful, its a great addition to any commercial kitchen.
I purchased this immersion blender recently as a replacement. Previously, I had been using a cheap machine, so this was quite an upgrade. Easy to clean, two speed settings, and lots of quiet power with a comfortable grip make this a really enjoyable machine to use.
I made potato-leek soup the other day with it, and it has never come out so smooth. Initial performance gets a 5 star recommendation. I hope that lasts, because I am VERY happy with my purchase right now.
Back in November I wanted a new stick blender and was currently using a $14. 00 Oster. It is a 2 piece and came apart while using. I have had a 1 piece before that was all plastic but I wore it out. I have had Waring blenders before and they work real well.
In November I was thinking of getting an All Clad stick blender for about the same price but decided on the Waring WSB33 since it was about the same price and 1 piece, NSF and made by a well known company.
After several uses it just seemed weak. I used it for bean soups like black bean and lentil bean, potato soup, plum tomatoes for sauce, mayo and emulsified salad dressing like buttermilk and ranch dressing.
It stopped working, after only 3 months, no reset button, no cool down just stopped. I contacted Central who said I should call Waring. Waring customer service said: “This is a very light duty blender used for dressings, purees, mayonnaise, whipped cream that type of stuff.
The next step up would be the WSB40 and although still not a heavy duty unit by any means, but should handle the soups and sauces better. ” However the Central’s explanation of the blender indicates: “Perfect for salad dressings, sauces, soups and salsa.
” Waring is replacing this blender and sending me a new one. I asked Waring Customer Service if they could upgrade me to the WSB40 but said they only replace like for like. Hence I do not feel this product is of value and do not recommend purchase.
I am not a professional working chef but an avid gourmet home cook and always buy the best products I can.
Definitely not fit for 12 qt projects as it takes time to do an 8 qt project let alone to do so without sinking the exhaust ports. Does phenomenal job (unless large chunks of fibrous vegetables are in container) with most standard sauces like red sauce, stocks, hollandaise, bechamel, etc.
If you plan to use this as a kitchen tool, then know it will be best at home or to make small “right now” batches at you professional kitchen. GO FOR NEXT SIZE UP.

This was one of my favorite tools until today when I unscrewed after using and it it exploded liquid all over the place! I now see that it had sucked liquid up into the shaft and motor. I can’t find appropriate assistance via the all-clad website and there doesn’t appear to be a way to truly clean it out-I keep trying and more gunk keeps pouring out.
Very unsanitary! So I will throw it out and look for another brand. I am very disappointed about this because it seemed to work great in all other respects but now I’m pretty grossed out wondering if it’s been sucking up liquid for weeks or months and I’ve not noticed it til now when it exploded.
This has become my favorite go to tool in the kitchen. I am so happy with it and really don’t know how I lived without this. Using a blender is just a pain in the neck but this makes soup making so much easier.
I was visiting a friend recently and she had a different brand. I could tell the difference immediately. The All Clad has nice sharp, good sized blades that just make all the difference in the world.
With the other brand I couldn’t get the soup to emulsify plus I ended up with soup all over my shirt. Good job All Clad!.
This immersion blender is amazing. Powerful, quiet, and the perfect size. I’ve had it for a few years and it never let me down. However, in the past few months, the plastic at the top has begun to degrade.
It’s actually sticky to the touch (no it’s not dirty, I take very good cake of it) and dull. Mechanically there’s nothing wrong with it, but it’s gross to touch and impossible to clean. Sadly, I’ll be getting rid of it and finding one that’s built to last.
VEVOR, SCJBQBS500W40CM01V1, Commercial Immersion Blender, 500w, 400mm, Handheld, 15. 7″, Variable Speed Features: This handheld blender is equipped with an extra-long (14. 5-inch) 304 stainless steel shaft, enabling the deeper reaching into pots.

When making hot pepper sauce for commercial use, it is impossible proceed without a commercial immersion blender. I own a very large RoboCoup immersion blender that I had to purchase at a price exceeding $2000.
I admit that it is the class of the immersion blender world. But, it is way heavy and way cumbersome to use. I also wanted a smaller one for blending 50-75 quart batches. I thought about a second RoboCoup, but the prices simply stopped me in my tracks.
In my research for a alternate brand at a lower cost, I found VEVOR. At the prices, I figured I would not risk much if I bought one and ended up putting it in the room for failed cooking equipment. Much to my surprise, this thing works great! Best of all, it is MUCH lighter and MUCH easier to clean.
I handles like a dream and leaves me with very nice blended hot sauce. I am finding other uses for it every day. I am so glad I bought this. It introduced me to a world of exciting food processing equipment and has opened my eyes to a new purchasing source for everything I buy.
I have since purchased about 5 pieces of equipment from VEVOR. They are my new go-to source for process equipment. On a side note, I am going to buy one of the smaller Vevor immersion blenders to replace the Vitamix immersion blender we use at home.
Find it does the task required but is a bit big and quite heavy for some staff to handle. Did not know there was a smaller unit available that would have worked just as well for the task we require it to do.
Will without doubt, last longer than the others we have used in the past.
This bookcase was just what I needed for a little extra storage in my home office. The wood was nicely finished and the set up was easy. All the holes lined up properly for the screws and the tool that came with the package was helpful.
I did need to find a small phillips head screwdriver for the last part of the assembly but that also went together smoothly. The walnut color of the bookcase blends well with the other wood in the room.
Item came with scratches on finish and stain finish was poorly done. Looked like it was done with a broom instead of a brush. Will hesitate to order from you again. On top of that you take 11. 00 off my refund for sending back.
Ordered two of these bookcases to use in our guest room (also the scrapbook room). They arrived in good condition and were easy to assemble. I feel they are a good buy for the price. Most of my furniture is antique or vintage, but these shelfs fit in fairly well with the bedroom décor.
I will be using them for some of my decorative pieces and to shelve some of my baskets of art supplies. The shelves appear to be sturdy and meet my expectations.

The 10-inch immersible stainless steel shaft will power through thick ingredients to blend up recipes in just minutes. The Quick Stik Plus 10′′ Immersion Blender features a lightweight design for safe and controlled operation and can blend up to 24 quarts at a time.
I bought this to blend soups and tomato sauce. After the first time using it in a 16qt stock pot I realized I wasn’t using it to its full potential. So I bought a 24qt pot, now I can make even more soup at once.
It’s very powerful, quiet and easy to use and clean. And I love to long cord since outlets tend to be in short supply in my kitchen. My one concern is how long with the rubber covering on the on the trigger switch last.
Those things tend to wear out long before anything else.
Our family makes hand made soap at the Santa Fe Soap Factory in Santa Fe Texas. One of our top sellers is our liquid soaps which we make in large batches. This blender has worked perfect for us and does a fantastic job of mixing our large batches of soaps.
I plan on buying at least one more to start mixing larger batches of our lotions. This mixer is A+ in my book. There are two speeds and I run mine on high all of the time.
We have purchased 4 of these units 3 different sources in the past 3 years. We mix a powder in 4 quarts of water for a soft serve desert. It is not heavy duty. We burned up all four of these units in the past 3 years.
Waring won’t replace. I’m going to a different unit.
“For smoothies, soups and more, this Toastmaster Immersion Blender is a kitchen essential. For smoothies, soups and more, this Toastmaster Immersion Blender is a kitchen essential. Pulse Switch Two speeds Stainless steel bladeWHAT’S INCLUDED 700ml.
This is my first immersion blender. I’ve only ever used a traditional blender but found a recipe for Spanish Refried Beans that recommended an Immersion blender and this fit the budget and has everything I need.
Quality and a great value. This handheld blender is easy to fit in your hands, strong enough for soups, smoothies, and even beans! It has 2 speeds, a pulse switch and a stainless steel blade. The blade is sharp so be careful when using it, but I love that it it stainless steel, it won’t rust over time with regular cleanings.
I recommend cleaning it after use, it makes cleaning so much easier. This does everything I need it to and I’m exploring more recipes just to use it. Highly recommend!.
We have been making milkshakes since the moment we got our Toastmaster Immersion Blender! It’s extremely light and easy to use and blends quickly. My children, ages 5 and 7, can now help; IT’S JUST THAT EASY-TO-USE! We had a little trouble blending fruit smoothies when the fruit was frozen solid, and this is why I rated it 4 stars instead of the full 5 stars.
However, after the fruit was defrosted, it blended with ease. We also had great success with pancake/waffle batter and a cake mix. I can’t wait to try my roasted squash soup recipe. Clean up is simple as well; just run blender in soapy water for a few minutes and rinse off.
I decided to try out an Immersion Blender, because soup season is coming and blending soups in a blender can be dangerous, so I was looking for a safer alternative. I love this Immersion blender. I can use this for much more that just soups.
We have already tried making smoothies and slushies’ but my family’s favorite has been the milkshakes after dinner. I like that I can just quickly pull out the Immersion blender instead of dragging out my huge blender.
Clean up is super quick and easy with the detachable blender head, and for this reason I have used this immersion blender everyday instead of my traditional blender. I don’t know why I waited so long to try one of these!.
The Braun MultiQuick 7 hand blender is designed to help you prepare healthy meals for your family and friends – quickly and easily. It now features the world’s first ActiveBlade technology. This innovative, flexible shaft gives you 250% more active cutting surface to work with (compared to Braun hand blenders without ActiveBlade shaft).
A clever kitchen gadget that helps you get the job done with ease. It also features Braun’s Easy SmartSpeed technology, which puts you in control with just one touch. By simply pressing the control knob, you can intuitively adjust the power without interruption.
Pros: All fine. Cons: Didn’t realise the accessories of the older model I had would fit the latest blender motor – need not have bought whole new set. Did look to see if anywhere said they were compatible but didn’t find any information.
Pros: Was in the sale, so a great buy. Cons: Blades detach to help with cleaning, so would be handy to have a metal blade to put in the purée as well as the plastic blade, to be able to use with the veggies in soup, like the smaller blender part.
Blend soups smoothies and shakes with this 100 watt immersion blender. Features high and low speeds. One-touch operation makes it easy-to-use. Power head is removable for easy cleaning. Comes with a 25oz blending cup.
I’ve never had an immersion blender before, so this is the first time using it. The stick itself comes in two pieces which easily attach together and is easy to dismantle for easy storage. The blender is made of a hard plastic material.
There are two buttons on the blender for a high and a low speed. When you need to turn the blender off, you release the button you had pushed down to start it. The immersion blender also comes with a blending cup but you could use a large mixing bowl or sauce pan.
I personally used the blending cup when each time I used it. So far, I really have enjoyed using this product and hope to expand on the things I make with using the immersion blender.
Make Preparing Your Next Recipe Easy with the Better Chef 97075870M Blender/Hand Mixer The Better Chef Handheld Blender/Hand Mixer features a powerful 200-watt 2-speed motor to take the work out of most recipes.
A convenient ergonomic handle and switch make for simple 1-handed operation. Easy to clean attachments are dishwasher safe making cleanup a snap.
this thing has two speeds: fast and VERY FAST not recommended for anyone planning to use this for anything that isn’t basically concrete-consistency cookie or cake mix. I tried to use this to blend homemade gravy and the dang thing goes so fast that it flings everything everywhere no matter what “speed” you use.
it says that 1 is the slow speed and 2 is the fast speed but its a lie. they’re both the same speed, and that speed is: breakneck fast. I can do better with a regular old hand-whisk that you can buy for 1$.
The Better Chef Dual Immersion Blender is the worst designed mixer I have ever used in my life. I used the whisk attachment majority of the time to prepare food, but the steel blending barrel was extremely efficient at mixing.
When I tested it out for the first time I used it to mix a protein shake and I immediately understood that this device would be difficult to operate. I had to hold down the on button in order for it to work, which I found to be a major irritation.
This wouldn’t have been a problem if the on button wasn’t so far away from the whisk attachment. I barely had enough leverage to mix my shake because the whisk and power button are on opposite ends of the odd shaped handle.
After 10 seconds of mixing my wrist started to hurt because of the position it puts my hand in when powered on. I had better success when I switched to an over hand grip, but it was still inconvenient.
On the positive side I was impressed with the power of this blender. I would have definitely recommended the Better Chef Dual Immersion Blender if it had better power button placement and a quieter motor.
This thing does not have the power of a child with a fork. It has no effect whatsoever even on well-cooked almost-dissolved POTATOES in broth! Or cooked broccoli in broth! It does absolutely NOTHING.
I tried an experiment after having trouble doing any blending – or mixing! – with it. I put a pan of water, and added pureed carrot in one side of the pan, and tried to bring them together using this stupid thing.
The Nutribullet Immersion Blender Dives Right Into Ingredients, Giving You Full Control Over Speed And Texture As You Mix Directly In Your Pot, Bowl, Or Cup. Use The Blade To Blend Batters, Dressings, Dips, And Hot Soups &Ndash; No Cooling Or Transferring Required.

Only used once so far. It worked well–and much easier than a blender–but didn’t work completely. I was pureeing split pea soup. Not sure if it was simply that I didn’t master how to use it yet. Still pleased to have added this appliance to my others.
The Immersion Blender by Classic Cuisine is the handy 4-in-1 kitchen tool that every home cook should have! The hand blender comes with a whisk, 32oz capacity beaker, and food processor/chopper cup attachments that are perfect for everything from milkshakes, smoothies, meringue, and whipped cream, to baby food, salsa, guacamole, soup, pesto or potatoes; the possibilities are endless! The hand mixer features 6 different speeds as well as a turbo power high speed, while the anti-splash design means you won’t have to worry about a mess, no matter the setting.
With a convenient hook for storage and a compact silhouette, this easy to use accessory is a great addition to any kitchen!.
This device is easy to clean and saves time compared to a full blender. It takes only one unused corner of cabinet space. The container serves up a right-sized breakfast smoothie for one. I clean the blade by turning it on in the dishwater.
The container has straight sides and is simple to hand wash in a jiffy.
The power handle is heavy. An indication of quality? However, my old Cusinart immersion blender was lighter, is still going, and great to throw in a suitcase (along with protein powder) to blend smoothies on a trip.
I’d think twice, taking this heavy one. The other pieces seem flimsy, so I’m wondering how long they will hold up. It’s a great concept – more tools with one power base and cut down on kitchen machinery.
The real question is how it stands the test of time.
The shaft doesn’t click into place with the motor is running so it will come undone while you are mixing or pureeing. You cannot move the blender in a twisting or side motion. Only up and down. Otherwise it will disengage.
Motor is too loud. Save your money and buy a known brand!.
A commercially inspired kitchen appliance, offering you the control and all of the tools. Simple soups can often be hard to make, as stick mixers are notoriously clunky to hold and suffer from excessive suction, drawing the mixer to the base of the bowl or pot.
The Control Grip incorporates an ergonomic trigger grip, which is easily engaged with a very natural hand position. Control is further enhanced with a reduced suction blade and leg design. This model also incorporates a stainless steel shaft, 25oz chopper, 42oz jug, and a whisk attachment.
You gain control over your stick mixer, rather than it having control over you.
Feels solid when using the main blade, but always feel like it is backwards, like the button is on the wrong side. Attaching the shaft to the motor is a bit awkward because the driveshaft is not held in the center, so I’m worried it will break.
Whisk gearbox is very noisy so I don’t want to use it. No point to having so many “speeds”. Hardly any difference from 1 to 9, then very fast/noisy from 10-15. Should just be Low, Medium and High. Bell (with the blade) is too wide so doesn’t fit in some containers I typically use.
I think this is because they wanted to reduce suction, but it also means it doesn’t blend quite as well since it doesn’t pull ingredients/liquid in as much. Food chopper is sad: when trying to chop one onion, it basically pureed what it could reach at the bottom but could not actually move the rest of the onion which I had already chopped into many pieces.
It also feels very flimsy. Overall, rather disappointed I bought it.
We’ve been using this stick blender for a few months, and so far it has turned out to be an excellent choice. It’s powerful, easy to use, and seems to be sturdier and better built than our previous hand blenders.
It also came with some high quality accessories that make it a very good value. About the only thing I wish were different is the shape of the thing at the end of the blender that houses the blade. Because it’s kind of a very soft, rounded rectangle, I can’t fit the blender all the way down into a couple of the metal “shaker bottles” I used to make smoothies in.
The blade housing is too wide to reach the bottom. But, that’s a minor inconvenience really. Overall, the Breville Control Grip is great.
Hello. I received this review request from you regarding the Control Grip Immersion Blender I recently purchased from you, Instead I would like to review a different Breville product I previously bought which ended up being a letdown.
it’s the Breville Crystal Clear Kettle BKE595XL. it was working fine, but one day I realized my coffee tasted strange so I let some of the remaining boiled water in the Kettle cool and I tasted it on its own and it tasted bad- like plastic/chemicals.
Needless to say I no longer use it. I cannot trust it thinking it may be leeching chemicals from the plastic into the water in spite of stating it is BPA-free. This was my main concern when shopping for an electric Kettle, that the water remained pure.
I assumed yours with the BPA-free statement would be high-enough quality to keep the water safe. Now it just sits in my cupboard. I suppose I should throw it away but I feel bad since it wasn’t cheap.
I also have a Breville juicer which seems to work fine. I have not had the immersion blender long enough to be able to review it properly but I am being forced to choose a star rating in order to submit this review of the Kettle.
Have other people complained about the kettle leeching chemicals into the water? I very much hope to get a response. Thank you, John R.
Powerful 200-watt motor to handle any chore. Versatile 2 speeds for mixing blending or chopping. Convenient Ergonomic handle and switch for easy one handed operation. Safety in mind Sealed power switch keeps out liquids.
Easy to clean Stainless steel blade and scratch resistant body.
This bookcase is very interesting because it can serve as a room divider, display shelf or for books, file boxes, or pantry shelf. It is lightweight, but sturdy and can be used from both sides. I have mine standing against my computer desk and somewhat messy paperwork.
However, the bookcase, tastefully decorated but also functional conceals what’s along side of it. It’s also a great price.
I ordered the espresso shelf. The assembly is quite easy, and the shelf holds well for my purpose. I’m using it as a pantry shelf. The color is more like dark mahogany than espresso. Also the shelf’s frame is relatively thin.
While it seems to hold well now, it looks a little cheap. But I guess at this price, this is what one should expect.
Breville BSB510XL Control Grip Immersion Blender – BSB510XL New Design Breville’s new design is perfect for multi-tasking. Blend, emulsify, whip or puree sweet smelling soups, creams, spicy salsas, healthy smoothies, tangy mayonnaise and more.
It’s easy to control the texture of your meals with 15 variable speeds. Meanwhile, the deep immersion handle lets you blend directly into the pot for less mess, while the 280 watt motor mixes all ingredients evenly.
Excellent Blending Some hand mixers are awkward to hold. The Control Grip uses an ergonomically optimized handle design with soft touch finish to better suit the natural grip of your hands. Enjoy more stability and control with an intuitively positioned trigger operation.
Made with the Consumer in Mind With all of these features, it’s no wonder that the Breville Control Grip has been rated the best immersion blender by a leading consumer magazine, beating out higher priced models.
It’s built with high quality materials: both the blending shaft and the ice-crushing blades are made of stainless steel, ensuring durability. A 6 foot extra-long power cord makes the unit portable and convenient, providing the mobility of a cordless immersion blender but making sure that it is always ready to go when you need it (no charging necessary).
The bottom of the blender has a non-scratch base to prevent it from scratching your non-stick pots. It also comes with a handy whisk attachment for cream, egg whites, or light batters, as well as a blending jug and chopping bowl.
The chopping bowl can be stored compactly in the jug for convenience and the lid of the blending jug can be used as a base to prevent slipping while blending. Easy clean parts can be hand washed and most parts (except motor, chopper lid and whisk gear box) can be washed in the dish washer on the top shelf only, making cleanup quick and easy.
I use the immersion blender and whisk all the time and love both attachments. I have only used the chopping bowl a few times, but it’s been great for making salsa. However, I noticed this weekend when I took it out that it had 2 large cracks running from the center to the edges, and liquid leaked out while mixing.
While looking online for a replacement part, I noticed in the reviews that this seems like a common occurrence, so now I’m reluctant to purchase a replacement bowl to have it potentially just happen again.
Please upgrade the quality of the chopping bowl, and then you’d have a stellar appliance.

Braun Multi Quick 5V MQ5207WH 21-speed standing blender with accessories.
I’ve owned this for a little over a year, and I’ve been very impressed with the power of this unit, especially while being so quiet. The smooth texture it can blend to has greatly surpassed my expectations.
I have been blending baked sweet potato for baby food, and I was surprised to discover that this stick blender can blend it just as completely as my countertop blender – completely smooth, without any trace of fibrous particles.
I picked this specific unit as an upgrade from the Wirecutter recommended pick, because this one is a little more powerful and has no time limit on how long it can run at max speed without a break. I have been completely happy with this purchase, and even bought another one recently as a gift for my brother.
Pros: Its not too noisy. It’s super efficient. It’s very safe. Cons: Yes, the press buttons separation, hopeless for fingers with sore cracks from cold or gardening. Also for anyone with arthritis in hands.
The twist mode would be better, as it was in my previous model. Even ONE button release would be better than the 2 synchronised button you have to do, with hand stretched painfully.
Braun’s flagship blender just got even better, with cutting-edge features such as Active PowerDrive technology that results in up to 60% faster performance* thanks to the 1,200W motor and Active Blade tech, where the blades move up and down to easily turn the toughest ingredients into the tastiest delicacies.
Another new feature is imode technology, which allows you to achieve even more precise results at the touch of a button. You can choose from three speed modes – pulse, low speed and variable speed – whose speed range you can define to suit different requirements.
Compared to MQ100 with carrot juice In the box: – Hand blender – Food processor attachment 2. 0l – Insert for fine and coarse slices – Fine and coarse grater inserts – Julienne insert – French fries cutter XL – Dough hook – New chopper 500ml – Chopper/ice crusher – Potato masher attachment – Whisk attachment – Mixing and measuring jug.
I never knew I needed this in my life. I have had a basic immersion blender for years and never knew what to do with it. I got this one for all of the attachments and have found uses for every attachment.
I do wish the manual had more suggestions on what to do with the attachments to give a better-rounded picture of the versatility of this tool and each of the attachments. I used it to make smoothies and while there were still a few little chunks of ice, overall, it made a very smooth drink that could rival what I typically make in a blender.
The masher does make it a bit difficult to tell exactly what has been mashed and what needs to be mashed but when you can get it everything comes out super smooth. The whisk has been able to handle everything I have tried it with, from making whipped cream to mixing thick brownie batter.
Due to the small diameter of the provided container that I use to make whipped cream it does make it a bit more difficult to tell when it is done, and you can easily over whip the cream if you aren’t careful.
It is small and easy to pull out for quick jobs and with easy clean up because most of it is dishwasher safe, I find myself using it a couple times a week. My only annoyance with it is the locking feature.
It locks immediately when you release the power button, and you have to unlock it and hit the power again pretty quickly or it will lock again.
When I got this, I had no idea how much it would change my prep and cooking style. It has taken me on a culinary adventure making every day chores so much easier and safer. I began with a red pepper sauce.
It is hot and I had to awkwardly poured it into my blender to cream it without burning myself or dripping it all over. The flexible shaft blender stick with the large bell that has suction and an extra milling blade helps to control splashing while creating an ultra creamy sauce with no leftover chunks.
It took a minute to figure out which buttons needed constant pressure and which ones didn’t, but I was soon creaming like a pro. There is no start up delay or jerking on start up. There is a chopper, whisk, masher, blender/ice crusher, food processor and beaker that are all in a more convenient size than my full size appliances that take up so much shelf and counter space.
The attachments easily click in and adjust the power without stopping by varying the pressure on the buttons. Eggs, muffins, salsa, pesto, chimichurri, bruschetta, sorbet, frosting and smoothies were so easy to create.
Now I’m looking for ways to use these on my old favorite recipes as well as searching for new ones knowing that they will be easier to create. This is such a smart and versatile appliance that has replaced or displaced so many of my other appliances and made my cooking and cleanup easier and more efficient.
I know that it is full of smart technologies, but it is so much fun to use.
I’ve been using my new Braun hand blender for a month now and I am very pleased with this product. It is not my first hand blender but it is by far the best one I have used. I can appreciate all of the engineering that went into the design of this product and the instruction manual.
It is extremely powerful and all the attachments and accessories make it very versatile. It blends my daily smoothie quickly and works great for mashed potatoes, and no chunks. I typically would chop veggies by hand but now I use the blender.
The whisk attachment works great for my scrambled eggs. Aside from the great performance, the ease of cleanup is a real plus for me. I shy away from using anything that is a pain to clean. I also really like the stylish looks.
I keep it upright on the counter attached to the chopper. It looks great and matches all of the other black appliances on the counter. The only downside is the cord. I wish it had a detachable cord. I also wish the kit would have included some sort of nice case for storage.
I am very satisfied this product and highly recommend it.
Overall, we think the immersion blender is a great tool for soap making. It emulsifies the ingredients quickly and easily, and cleanup is a breeze. If you’re looking for an easy and efficient way to make soap, we highly recommend this method!.
