Bill Cosby’s debut album Is A Very Funny Fellow, Right (1963/1995) presents great story-telling, uproariously funny stand-up comedy, for the most part. Some of the material is dated, but all very good.

While Cosby’s well-known cast of characters and comedic style are still very much in development, his conversational routines and jazz style are all here. The centerpiece of the album is the “Noah” trilogy, three short conversations between Noah and the Lord which are the impetus of the “Right!” part of the album title.

It contains some of the wonderful mike work for which Cosby will become well know. His updated and sarcastic exchange with God is very funny and lends a new perspective to the biblical account in Genesis.

RIGHT is a fine example of story-telling comedy and is family-friendly. It is an album worth owning and is an excellent learning tool for aspiring stand-up comedians.

The thing I appreciate the most about Bill Cosby is that he appeals to so many types of people. He can be hilarious to a person of any age, which is very rare nowadays. Part of the reason is that he’s always been a clean comic; no turning the air blue like so many others do.

I am in my 20’s and I think he is great! I bought this album about a year ago, but I’d heard many of the skits when I was six or so because my mother had them and I thought he was hilarious then! As you get older, you realize that there are some jokes that only someone older would get, but everything is done tastefully.

This album features Bill’s very famous Noah and the Lord routine, which I’ve loved since the first time I heard it. “Superman” is one of those jokes that has a tinge of adult humor to it and it is great! “Hoof and Mouth” is a short, clever little skit that makes it seem that cows aren’t as dumb as they look.

“Karate” is my personal favorite on this one. It just gets funnier and funnier as it goes on. Every routine is a classic as is this album, Bill’s first. What an awesome way to start! If you like funny jokes that don’t require offending the listener, than this is for you.

I remember listening to this album on a record album maybe in the late 60s. On a whim I searched and sure enough it had been copied to a cd. I was elated and waited in anticipation to hear the segments on Noah and the ark again.

Bill Cosby is one of the best comedians of all time. I enjoy hearing someone that does not have to use vulgar language to be funny. Just wish it was longer. Well worth the purchase.

This is classic Bill Cosby at its finest!! In “Wonderfulness”, Bill Cosby gives fantastically humorous renditions of real life as only he can. I count nearly all of the tracks on “Wonderfulness” as favorites, but I think “Chicken Heart”, “Tonsils”, “Lumps” and “Go Carts” are among the best of the best.

As is standard Cosby fare, this is comedy for the whole family. There is no profanity, no “off-color” remarks, nothing you wouldn’t want to play in front of your children (or your grandmother). I grew up listening to Bill Cosby records (actual vinyl records).

We played them over and over and over! Still, to this day, 40+ years later, my family will throw out little quips of his comedy as they apply to our everyday lives – and we’ll all just start rolling.

Simply put, this is fantastic stuff that you’ll want to play over and over – I do!! Buy it! You won’t regret it!.

Bill Cosby is very funny & entertaining. Chicken heart is a classic tale from childhood that anyone would enjoy. This CD reminisces about childhood that older generations relate to and shows younger generations how much things have changed.

It is a great CD to start introducing the comedy of Bill Cosby to children. It contains the same material of the original record that was first released in 1966. I would recomend this CD to everyone.

i listened to bill cosby 40 years ago on a 331/3 album. when i saw this on cd i had to buy it so my kids could see how funny he was in his early years of his career. and to so them you can be funny without being nasty.

comedians this day an time do not know how to be funny without being volguer. many of his skits were used in the cosby kid cartoon show.

Thus far, the quality of the Fat Albert and Cosby Kids collection is excellent. This collection is a part of my childhood and I was definitely influenced in a positive engaging way. Hard to believe the same guy who birthed such an educating, enlightening collection of work could wind up where he is.

Remarkable work.

This was one of my favorite cartoons, when I was growing up. It’s great to share these with entirely new generation. The characters are great, and the topics they dealt with were way ahead of their time.

If you haven’t picked up this set, please get it before it goes out of print. You won’t be disappointed.

This is a classic TV show. The price was a little expensive, but I think it’s worth it. Too bad Bill Cosby wasn’t what he made himself out to be. 🙁

This movie and “Uptown Saturday Night” really were enjoyable, and I think it’s remarkable I was even able to aquire it with so many nannys running things now.. Lol

The story line, the characters, the actors, their scripted lines, their clothing, the setting, and anything else that I may have left out. all these elements contributed to one of the most entertaining films ever made.

Truly, easily one of my all time favorite films !.

I’m very happy with my purchase of this film. It took me along time to get it but I’m glad that I got it now. Although I feel paying over 40 bucks for it was a bit much. Well now my collection is complete and I’m satisfied with my purchase.

I love this video! I had a copy years ago and it got misplaced. I was so excited to get this copy to share with my (older) kids and friends. No bad language(as expected from an 80’s production) but might not be appropriate for younger kids as the content does have parts about drugs and alcohol.

Best monologue ever! If you have never seen this performance,then it’s a must see. Bill talks about life in general and also about his family. The only props are a banquet chair and his mic. He will keep you in stitches because you an relate to what he is talking about.

This show began on the right foot. Lighthearted and quick witted. It is wonderful to watch Bill Cosby interact with these children. He was truly batting a thousand with his brand of humor. Honest and direct with delivery that was spot-on.

He was kind, intelligent and engaging. Strict and lovable. That’s the kind of parenting you don’t see anymore. I’m glad it was captured excellently with this series.

I introduced my 7-year old daughter to the Cosby show a while back. Then we got the “Best of DVD”. We got the first season about a month ago and it has been exciting. We had a movie weekend and watched the whole set! It is always nice to have a good show to watch and not be concerned about foul language or something foolish on the screen.

I dont mind if she pops it in to watch alone sometimes. And, it’s nice to have a quick show to watch before bed when you want to take a few minutes to relax. Purchasing the other seasons NOW!.

I bought this DVD because I loved the fat albert cartoons! I wanted to see how the live movie version compared and I was not disappointed. This DVD movie is great! It was so much fun to see other fat albert characters come to life! Bill Cosby was great! The actor that played Fat Albert was so good! I haven’t watched this movie in years and I had forgotten how hilarious it was until I watched it this past weekend. I would let my children watch it if I had any. This movie is good for any age.

As soon as I got in the mail me and my mother watched it. It is very entertaining and it sooooooo funny I had saw the movie before but I had forgot what it is about and how funny it is. So if you do buy it your money wont be wasted and it came in great value.

I’ve always enjoyed the Cosby Show over the years. It was always a clean, family friendly comedy series. I’m enjoying the episodes of Season 6, especially because I don’t recall seeing a number of them before.

One episode I do remember from this season though was the hilarious Thinksgiving episode “CLIFF’S WET ADVENTURE”.

The Cosby Show had a way of transending race, culture, and background. It was people who greatly loved their children and wanted the best for them. Their goal was to raise happy healthy children with no barrier from society, they can be anything they choose.

All this is wrapped in Bill Cosby’s hallarious sense of humor. We all have struggles with our children and thats why everyone can relate to it. We either have kids who have behaved in this way (at one time or another) or we have done it ourselves growing up and thats the genius behind the humor, we can all relate.

There are times I have laughed til I cried and the beauty is its great for the whole family. It truly is a family show.

One of the most engaging and pro-family shows ever made. The best part is the lightheartedness of the characters and openness to discussing simple family problems.

This is back in the day stuff from Mr. Cosby. It contains what I still hold as one of the funniest presentations ever in comedy. The Dentist! This alone was worth the entire purchase. I told my dentist about it and made him and staff watch it together.

Christmas gift for my son who loves Cosby. Was actually 49 that I wanted, not available as DVD but he has the software so the package price in VHS was great. This was much better than haunting the flea markets and hoping!.

Wonderful, one of the funnest things I’ve ever seen, a must see for the family. when bill talks about the honest child, or brain damaged children, parents will laugh at how true it is, and when he talks about oweing yourself a drunk on the week end or the trip to the dentist, Hilarious.

My family had this album on LP when I was a kid. We all loved listening to it. I had purchased some of Bill Cosby’s other bits from Walmart’s MP3 download service (they are worth the buy too) but could not find my favorites: ‘Chicken Heart’ and ‘Go Carts’.

This seems to be the only album that has these two, and it wasn’t available on the MP3 service. I found it available to purchase as a CD though ‘Site to ‘Store’. Now I have the CD (which is cool) with two of the best bits Bill Cosby has done.

This Album was worth the purchase back when I was a kid, and is still worth the purchase today; not many things can make that claim.

My Brother and I grew up listening this album with our Dad. I will never forget how he would laugh at Chicken Heart. Good memories and good times that I really wanted to share again with my brother so I purchased it for him for Christmas.

A show many never thought would make it. I wish it could have gone longer. A show showing the problems people have in a family and the results of actions taken. Supportive parents. It was nice they were rich, too made a show could have been of the struggling family like today’s world is living it but it was an escape for all.

My husband absolutely LOVES the Cosby Show so i bought this as part of his anniverary gift. Love it!. It features 10 epiodes. I rated it 4 stars because since the Cosby Show ran for 8 seasons, I was hoping that i would get more than just 10 episodes on the dvd.

But for the price. whose complaining,. its a timeless classic!.

My wife and I really love the Cosby show because it is about families, there is nothing vulgar in it, and it tackles real life problems with humor. It is always funny, sometimes poignant and always worth watching.

Because we have watched the Cosby show so much on DVD now, our kids are learning that it is enjoyable too. These are really timeless classics.

This man is a rapist. Because of that I couldnt quite enjoy his advise on fatherhood.

I decided to buy this book because I have always liked Bill Cosby and his philosophy on life. He has a great sense of humor. I have read his books for years! And now, being a Grandma, I decided to buy this book again (since reading it years ago) and pass it on to my son, a new father.

I used to have the VHS tape of this and when I saw the cd I just had to have it since VHS is outdated. I love this man and this particular cd is so darn funny you will laugh alllll the way through it.

Best Cosby CD to own out of all of his CD’s! I own numerous Bill Cosby CD’s and this by far is my favorite. My family loves listening to it over and over and we still laugh everytime. The routines hit a funny bone with every generation.

Bring back memories, I wish it had the whole stand up on the CD b/c their was a few missing stand up types but im not going to go lower than a 5 star b/c it was still good to listen too

Grew up on this show, love, love. love. it, with all avenues and directions that it took me through. I am excited to have all the episodes, where I can watch, without commericals. I am superpumped, for a day off, me, and my dvd player! Yeah Me!!!!!.

Its so great to watch shows that keep you engagedWhere the characters are believable, and you find yourself smiling for the entire episode and laughing out loud as well. And unlike the shows of today, the situations and the comedy are both clean, so I dont have to worry about the content surprising and disturbing my family.

Sometimes when buying items on sale, especially as low priced as this was, you become kind of skeptical about the item. But, this was totally worth it. I received all 16 disks in great condition. All of the episodes are available and play.

So, now I’m in for a nice marathon.
