The Xbox 360 has a variety of hunting games available for purchase. The most popular hunting game is “Cabela’s Big Game Hunter 2010”, which is a realistic hunting game that allows players to track and hunt a variety of different animals.
There are also a number of arcade-style hunting games available, such as “Deer Hunter 2005”, which is a more fast-paced and action-oriented hunting game.
Xbox 360 – Metal Gear returns with a new mission, one that trades the shadows of stealth for the white-hot blaze of over-the-top battle. Instead of covert ops and stealth infiltration, in Revengeance you’ll barrel into battle, where you’ll slice through cyborg enemies in furious stylized combat.
Your character, Raiden, spent his early years as a legendary child soldier known as “Jack the Ripper. ” Raiden has graduated to the combat big leagues and is now a full-on mercenary for hire, performing missions for PMSCs (Private Military and Security Companies) in a world recovering from a brutal Civil War.
The fragile world is ripe for the taking, and Raiden and his blade will be the last line of defense against a coming cyborg invasion.
If you’re looking for the essential Metal Gear Solid experience, you won’t be getting it here. This game is definitely a spin-off. It takes place in the same universe, after the events of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, but does not feature any of the signature characters outside of Raiden (and a small appearance for one other MSG4 character).
That being said, the story itself is classic Metal Gear through and through. Talk of cyborgs, PMCs, child soldiers, and Metal Gears? Check, check, check, and yes, check. Of course, while the story still feels like a Metal Gear game, it definitely has a darker than anything in the series prior to this.
As for the gameplay itself. It’s a action game through and through. While you do have the option to attempt (some) of your objectives stealthily, or avoid combat, the game does lean in favor of going crazy with your sword.
Which is a good thing, since combat is tons of fun – the ability to slow down time and slice your opponents into hundreds of pieces never gets old. Seeing as the combat is different from traditional Metal Gear games – it plays more like a hack ‘n’ slash akin to Bayonetta – gamers unfamiliar with the genre should probably play through on “easy” the first time around, as you’re not able to change the level of difficulty in-game, and even on normal certain enemies and bosses can provide quite a challenge if you don’t know exactly what you’re doing.
The exclusive soundtrack that comes with the game is a nice bonus, especially if you’re a fan of rock. I only wish the soundtrack came with the vocal versions of the songs that play during boss fights, as they are definitely a highlight of the game.
All in all, this may just be my favorite Metal Gear soundtrack ever. Also, remember to use your Codec frequently, because questions such as “Why did Raiden become a cyborg again?” are only answered during these optional calls, and aren’t answered anywhere else.
To sum things up, this is a incredibly, beautiful game, that is a must have for any Metal Gear fan interested in finding out what happens to Raiden, or what happens next in the series.
I’ll start off by saying that I have never played a Metal Gear game in my life (gasp!), but I am somewhat familiar with the gameplay and story line of the series. With that being said, this game plays out very differently from past Metal Gear games such as Snake Eater and the incredible Guns of the Patriots in the fact that this is a fast paced game that doesn’t put much emphasis on stealth as the others did.
What you’re playing is a fast paced hack and slash game that gives you very little time to breathe before the next battle begins. I don’t want to go too much into the story as I don’t want to accidentally spoil anything, but what I will say is it’s a pretty good storyline that has its fair share of action and a small touch of humor.
All the characters are acted well and provide for some unique boss battles. I really liked the graphics. Not just visually, but it runs very fluidly with pretty much no lag. If you’ve played Bayonetta then you kinda get the jist of where I’m going with that.
The soundtrack is what won me over. I hear people say its odd and it’s too much rock music but in my opinion I think its perfect. Now the big topic at hand: the gameplay. You have two main attacks; a light and fast attack, along with a heavy and moderate paced attack.
Along with that, you have an arsonal of secondary weapons that you pick up like grenades and rocket launchers, along with cardboard boxes and drum cans for the occassional stealth sections. The biggest bulk of your attacks and the funnest by far is blade mode.
This is where time slows down and you can cut up your enemies however you please. Not only can you cut up enemies, you can cut up about 90% of the surrounding. Whether it be cars, trees, lightpoles, chances are you can slice it up.
My only gripe is the block attack move. How you do it is you move the stick in the direction the enemy is coming and press X at the same time to par the attack. It’s awkward at first, but with practice you’ll get the idea of it.
All in all, this is a great game and one you should definitely pick up if you’re big into hack and slash games. If you’re like me and you have never played a Metal Gear game in the past, what I can tell you is you won’t feel lost in the story playing this.
From what I understand, it takes place four years after Guns of the Patriots. That’s incase any fans of the series were wondering where it fit in the timeline. Bottom line: don’t pass this up.
For everything this game does right, which is actually quite a lot as it’s exciting and well paced with enjoyably ridiculous action all over the place, it’s unfortunately hamstrung by the way it refuses to ever tell you how anything actually works and as a result is just an incredibly frustrating mess unless you’re playing with a guide in hand.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining that it’s hard, it’s actually not, what it is, is arbitrary. For example, it straight up lies about how the parrying system works and tells you to parry in the direction of the attack, when what it means is in the direction of the enemy’s main mass, which wouldn’t seem so bad except the first real test it gives you for that skill involves an enemy which attacks using wide sweeping arcs from the sides and you’re going to assume you’re not hitting them because the camera won’t stay still.
Oh yeah, speaking of the camera, they also never bother to explain that there’s a lock on or how it works, and if you don’t know, the camera is one of the worst I’ve ever seen as it will determinately reposition itself so it’s looking away from the bosses for no reason constantly, resulting in you getting pummeled from off screen over and over.
Heck, even when you buy useful new moves like dodges, the game never tells you how to do them, there’s no practice mode either so again, time to just look it up or hope you stumble on it. In short, it’s fun, it’s exciting and it does everything in it’s power to make sure that the player never discovers that.
Learn more about Sonic Unleashed – Xbox 360. (Flash demo) Synopsis Sonic the Hedgehog is heading out on an adventure like never before. Powered by an all-new engine, Sonic Unleashed combines classic Sonic thrills with the latest in next-generation technologies.
Dr. Eggman has unleashed a slumbering beast from the center of the world, causing a seismic tremor that splinters the world into seven continents. Even more shockingly, this event causes a hair-raising change in Sonic himself, altering him with phenomenal new powers and abilities that come out when the sun sets.
Help Sonic race to save the world — and himself — as he deals with his amazing transformations. Highly detailed 3D environments combine with furious 2D action in Sonic Unleashed. The compelling story finds Sonic maintaining his high-speed skills throughout the day, but at night he becomes a mysterious, dark form with never-before-seen powers.
From 3D-action brawling to amazing agility, the heroic hedgehog will have a host of new tricks in his arsenal. Explore up to nine areas that resemble such real-life locations as the Great Wall of China, Arctic Pole glaciers and much more.
Next-gen capabilities, including global illumination, grid computing, continuous data streaming and an intricate path finding system, treat you to Sonic gameplay that will excite you every step of the way.
This game is amazing. The last time I fully enjoyed a Sonic game, and it felt like a AAA title, was 2000s Sonic Adventure 2. This games soundtrack, graphics, detail, replayablity, story, everything is top notch.
The most important part of the game: The gameplay, is fantastic. High speed frantic action as sonic in the day and Beat em up exploration as the Werehog at night. Even with the newer Sonic games out this is still the fastest most fluid and open boost Sonic game to date.
(The speed can be a bit jarring at first) Most importantly, it does not hold your hand like the newer games. Instead of just holding boost to win, you must quick jump, wall jump, slide, quick step, drift (which handled to my surprise, very realistically.
Similar to a car. ) kick, ground pound, explore, grind, platform in 3D, do a three to five button quick time event. You are always doing something. The Werehog has exploration and satisfying / fluid combat with overwhelming amounts of enemies on screen with an RPG leveling system and 40+ different combos to unlock.
Almost forgot to mention the beautiful hub worlds. Hub worlds are these small areas for you to free roam in based on different parts of the planet. (Spain, Greece, China, Alaska, America, Arabia, etc) You can also talk to different kinds of people, discover side missions (and acts 2 and 3 for Sonic / Survival and timed modes for Werehog) even go shopping for collectables and foods (that grant you XP) My only complaint is the final level and Boss.
They are not as fluid, polished or fun as the rest of the game. The pre-final boss: EggDragoon is infinitely more impressive and “epic” than the load fest they call, Dark Gaia. Do not listen to “professional” critics or the Internet, try this game for yourself if interested.
Anyone, not just fans of the series, can play this and have a great time. this isn’t your typical 2 hour long modern Sonic game, try 20 hours.
Sonic Unleashed is looked upon as one of the lesser titles in its franchise. When this game was released, it didn’t necessarily receive that much positive remark from both critics and fans (at least the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions).
For some strange reason, the Wii and PS2 versions of this game are looked upon as superior than the former versions. Why? The levels are a bit bland in the low-res versions, there are many more Werehog stages than Hedgehog stages, and you have to play the same levels over and over with new objectives just to complete the story.
Thankfully, none of this is present in the hi-def versions of the game. High-speed action is what Sonic does best, and there’s tons of that here in his Day stages. Levels such as Empire City and Cool Edge are perfect examples of just what a Sonic game can bring with fantastic level design, alternate pathways, shortcuts, and just pure spectacle and magic all around that Sonic is known for.
And then comes what makes this game sort of a black sheep, the Werehog. I will say this right now, IT IS NOT BAD. THE WEREHOG IS NOT. BAD. I legitimately like the Werehog as it provides a change of pace from the crazy high speeds of Sonic and not to mention some sweet jazzy tunes~.
There’s some pretty good level design for a slow-paced platformer and tons of goodies and secrets to find now that you can take your time with these levels. The only gripe I have with them is the battle music playing over and over, but as I take my time and explore these levels for hidden secrets, they never really bothered me all that much as I was having too much fun! All and all, Sonic Unleashed is a pretty solid experience and extremely underrated and overlooked by its future brethren.
It provides a nice amount of challenge that a lot of Sonic games lack in comparison. If you like running at blistering speeds and/or a beat-em-up puzzle-solving type of gameplay, then Sonic Unleashed is definitely what you’re looking for.
I highly recommend picking this game up if you come across it, especially so with the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions.
This sonic game was your typical 3D sonic experience, but the developers later decided the game was too short, so they decided to add were-hog stages. Ag the beginning robotnik converts sonic into a werehog.
After that, you play as normal sonic during the day and as a were-hog in the night. The day stages are your typical run-to-the end stages, where you run all around. This is where the game shines. In the night, however, the game becomes a slow 3D beat-em’-up similar to god of war, but not as epic.
These stages make the majority of the game and slow it down by a lot. Still, this is among the good sonic games, and worth checking out!.
Call of the Wild 2019 Edition offers the most immersive hunting experience ever created. Step into a beautiful open world teeming with life, from majestic deer, ghost-like lynx and awe-inspiring cape buffalo, down to the countless birds, critters and insects of the wilderness.
Every inch of the 100-square mile (256 square kilometer) world is crafted using Apex, award-winning technology crafted by Avalanche Studios during a decade of developing explosive action and hunting games.
In addition to its rich single player experience, theHunter: Call of the Wild 2019 Edition offers unique multiplayer options – cooperative and competitive – for up to 8 players. Share the ultimate hunting experience, and earn those bragging rights! In addition to the original content of theHunter: Call of the Wild, the 2019 Edition also includes the frozen and harsh Medved-Taiga reserve, as well as the rolling grasslands of the Vurhonga Savanna reserve.
Explore the various reserves in All Terrain Vehicles, camp out in the wild using tents and ground blinds, and select between a wide range of specialized weapons to best take down your target.
Thehunter Call of the Wild is the most realistic hunting game I have ever played. The graphics look amazing, just like real life. There is so much detail gone into the trees and bushes. Animals also have so much detail, the hair/fur on the animals looks very realistic.
The animals also act in a realistic way. However, If you shoot at a herd of animals about 400 metres away they don’t run away, they keep doing what they are doing so basically you can take out the whole herd.
It would be good if an update fixes this little glitch. What I love most about this game is that the male deer (stags) all have different antler sizes, they aren’t just all 10 pointers like most other hunting games.
I do however think that there needs to be more modern guns as there isn’t lots to choose from. Most of them are old style ones. I like how you have to unlock the equipment by hunting the animals, (you don’t just unlock everything by doing nothing) If you love hunting or love hunting games this is the ultimate hunting simulation game for you!.
I was excited to buy this game I finally got home put it in an started playing it an I had to walk around for hours before I saw any wild life at all this is a hunting game right??? I finally saw a buck walk out went to shoot it to only b disappointed by the aiming on the scope would not get steady or still to save my life turns out u gotta get lucky or just miss alot an chase wounded deer down cus it certainly don’t drop them if u hit it.
u have to earn being steady with ur gun by upgrading only way u upgrade is by killing an bagging good luck finding the wounded deer it’s almost impossible the deer tracks are easy to track down but alot of times u loose the track seriously??? So u have wounded deer about ull never find unless u just have all day to walk hours to track it across the whole map to only loose ur trail.
Game needs more wildlife period it says go kill deer in this area they been distroying crops bad I get there an I don’t see any deer at all what happened to the bad deer crop problem if I have to call them out into the crops it must not b that bad an that’s if they respond to my deer call I sat an tryd for 30 minutes not 1 came out so I gave up on that.
Finally found some dumb pigs thank goodness they are dumb an run in a circle or don’t leave this is the only way it let me kill them I shot one in the head an it got back up an kept running so I shot it more times an it finally dropped like come on this tiny pig really but that’s the way I have to upgrade is by killing pigs enough to get a better gun and upgrade steady with it waste of time a game so beautiful has so many down sides I’d rather play my ps2 hunting games they had way better control an aiming over ur gun an stuff dropped when u shot at it after an hour tracking it an o I forgot it also had way more wildlife cus it’s called a hunting game not a walk in the park game where there is no animals that want to chase u or attack u while ur tracking out of the blue.
I give this game 1 star cus that’s the least it’d let me rate it an because I feel it fell short way short on the real hunting experience if u want a game that has almost no wild life an u walk around hours or on ur four-wheeler an don’t see anything this is for u when u do see it hope u hit it an If it don’t drop 99.
9 percent the time good luck trailing it if I could get my whole refund back on this game I would an I would buy another hunting game anything is better than this one.
Activision’s best-selling hunting series continues with Cabela’s Big Game Hunter 2010. This version focuses on a story-driven campaign starring a young but talented hunter named Jack Wilde. As Wilde, you’ll need to overcome a number of environmental dangers, from turbulent streams and rolling logs to treacherous cliffs and avalanches, while stalking your prey.
Once your target is in your sights, you’ll need to steady your grip as you deal with simulated breathing, wind, and other variables that can influence the accuracy of your shot. Seek out cover points to earn bonuses and unlock new areas by receiving medals for top performances.
In addition to the main campaign, Big Game Hunter 2010 also includes a fast-paced shooting gallery with waterfowl, upland birds, and small game serving as targets.
After playing countless FPS games I decided to try out a hunting game for a change even though I was apprehensive of the idea. Nevertheless, I was happily proved right in my decision to buy this game.
Never had I played a hunting game before so this was something new. The game itself is linear in some aspects as you have a map to stick to but on some occasions you can use the environments fully – climbing onto higher ledges for a greater shooting position along with the surrounding flora.
The variety of environments and animals is fantastic ranging from Finland, USA to the savannah’s of Africa. Many big game are here such as Water Buffalo, Bighorn Sheep, a Bear, various birds such as Egyptian Geese and Ptarmigans.
Unlike Cabela’s Outdoor Adventures, this game lacks the fishing aspect of it but then again, it is a hunting game so I don’t see the point. Trophies are great and not hard to achieve either but acquiring all Gold medals on hunts may prove a challenge for some.
I recommend this game to any FPS players, hunting enthusiasts or a gamer who is interests but isn’t sure on the purchase. I was pleasantly surprised and thoroughly enjoyed the fun experience. 9/10.
Ordered this game for my 7 year old grandson. He will be receiving it on April 5th. I put the game into my Xbox system to make sure it was working properly. 2 hours later, I decided that it was more than satisfactory !! OUTSTANDING graphics and LOADS of fun with this game.
Cabela’s and Activision REALLY give you your money’s worth in this version of Big Game Hunter. This one comes highly recommended and I am glad to give it a 5 star excellent rating !!! GET THIS ONE FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY !!!.
We purchased this in 2015. We love it. It is superior to other cabela’s games that are older. You can do quick hunts, and it is easy to play with others by alternating hunts/ or attempts at hunting. A few areas are unrealistic as far as not spooking the animal when you are close and in plain sight, but overall, you are rewarded for being stealthy and working around behind various rocks and shrubs.
Suspense and intense first-person action reign in Cabela’s Dangerous Hunts 2011. The game unfolds as a story of drama and survival as players face kill-or-be-killed scenarios deep in the wild. Hunt and be hunted as Cole Rainsford who has joined his estranged father on an African safari to hunt savage animals that have been terrorizing remote villages.
Soon stranded their survival depends on cunning instinct and expert skill to make it out alive.
I bought this game when I was in second year university. This game was delightfully terrible and me and my room mates would get drunk and have tons of fun completely failing to complete any of the missions or do well at the shooting galleries.
The story line makes little to no sense as you traipse through many pristine naturescapes absolutely massacring anything that has the gall to not be a biped. The shooting galleries are fun if you can get the remote gun to work which you most likely can’t since it asks you to stand like 10 feet away from the TV and the room wasn’t even 10 feet long.
Also you can throw out that little scope that comes with the gun it is pointless. Give it to someone watching and have them point out where to go in the drug induced hysteria parts of this “hunting game” where you need to use the magic eye red filter to see where to go.
In the lusciously realistic nature environments of Cabelas: Big Game Hunter Pro Hunts, passionate hunting hobbyists can eagerly engage in their favorite past-time without leaving the comfort of their own home.
Enthusiastic aficionados will be immersed in an engagingly accurate depiction of rugged wilderness. These animals truly come to life for the kill. Partake in a savagely surreal slaughter that represents the sport’s pure essence of outdoorsy sophistication.
Scope out a beautiful specimen, and then bag the game with a single tactfully placed shot. Notorious figureheads of modern hunting culture appear in true form. Four iconic shooters star in this trailblazing romp through unprecedentedly sharp landscapes and terrains.
Jim Shockey lends his fame to the series by reprising his Uncharted style. Meanwhile, Wade Middleton joins the hunt with deadly pizzazz that stems from endless veteran credentials. Finally, family friendly fun is instilled by the addition of Ralph and Vicki Cianci.
Bought this again to get my step son into hunting. Used the sane game years ago for my own son. I AM NOT a gamer. This game has the most realistic animal traits I’ve ever played ( wind, calls, ammo, shot placement, etc.
) I am an avid hunter. I wish it had turkey hunts. Other than that, it couldn’t be any better. Its a great tool for teaching kids how to be ethical hunters.
An amazing game bought it as a gift for my cousin. And he cant put the controller down great visuals and sound effect makes you tho k your really hinting. Cant find a problem with it loads fast truly a.
goof game cant wait for the. next cableas game f its anything like this one it will. be a good one.
Both my 21 and 16 yr old sons love the game. Dad even joins in on the fun occasionally. The only issue we have had is with it freezing up. They have to completely restart afterwards and earn all of their “gear” again.
It’s a fun game to play. The game kept me very interested in it and I played for awhile before I turned off the game system. It’s not a boring game. With the gun instead of the controller, To me it was more exciting to play.
Cabela’s Dangerous Hunts 2013 features an epic story penned by writer Andrew Kreisberg (Fringe) where two brothers are torn apart after the death of their father at the hands of a grizzly bear. Ten years later, the estranged brothers reunite for the hunt of their lives.
One beast tore them apart. Can another beast bring them back together? The game also includes a new horde-based “Maneater” mode allowing for two-player co-operative gameplay where teamwork is essential as both players must work together to strategise and complete missions in order to survive for as long as possible.
The game will feature both symmetric and asymmetric missions in Maneater mode.
Seemed like a great deal, cool controllers etc, but the game mechanics are really wonky and it leads to a MASSIVE learning curve in the beginning. So massive people usually just pass up on it after seeing it played by others.
There’s a heart rate sensor which I assumed was a gimmick but you actually have to lower your heart rate for some points which was pretty annoying. We taped the sensors to the tv, and it is pretty hard to play unless youre a good 15 feet from your tv so my couch distance didnt make it an optimal experience.
If nothing else you can mount the controllers on the wall of your man cave like I have and feel like you got something out of it. I voted good because of that reason but the game is not worth it. Trust.
I’ve enjoyed many Cabela’s games in the past, but with so many annual releases today, they just get worse and worse. I used to stomach the fast paced, force fed shooting scenes, just to get to the long, stalking hunts I’d come to enjoy.
It turns out Cabela’s 2013 Dangerous Hunts is 100% of what I didn’t like in previous games. I’d much rather explore well designed, elaborate boards, stalking one trophy; but now we get nothing but repetitive, pathetically designed boards filled with gratuitous, schizophrenic bloodshed.
If I thought I’d be killing packs of 40 lions in story mode I would have never purchased this slop fest. I feel so cheated, I will never buy a new Cabela’s game again. I’ll just play one of the older, better versions every couple of years.
I think I’m done buying new games in general. I thought I could trust Cabela’s to be consistent, but Activision clearly just wants to produce larger profit margins instead of quality gaming. While I’m thinking of it, the new gun is junk too.
The game itself is ok, but the gun is not very comfortable to hold, the buttons and analog stick are in awkward spots. I have played the first dangerous hunts game on the wii, it is a much better game and alot better gun.
Also you dont’ have very good calibration options like the wii game had.
Cabela’s Hunting Expeditions is more than just a game – it is an authentic hunting experience. Cabela’s Hunting Expeditions is like having a world-class outfitter at your fingertips. With unprecedented freedom, you decide the destination and the journey.
Cover more territory and position yourself closer to the trophies by means of vehicles. Since every move you make is ultimately monitored and graded; the power to maximize your score will come through a sharpened skill set and strategic gameplay.
A challenge for hunters of all levels. With Cabela’s Hunting Expeditions, you get realistic hunting at its finest: Use the all-new Strategic View to plan your hunts with unprecedented freedom of movement in any Cabela’s game.
Customize your firearms to suit the game you’re hunting and earn upgrades by skillfully completing hunts and challenges. Realistic animal behaviors such as herd mentalities and fight-or-flight responses put your hunting skills to the test.
Explore 15 immersive environments in North America and Africa-traverse terrain on foot or in a vehicle.
Can you outsmart the true-to-life animals that can now see, hear and smell you? Cabela’s Big Game Hunter 2012 features the most realistic animals ever seen in the Big Game Hunter series. Every animal’s unique movement and behavior gives you clues to what it will do next.
To bag your trophy, you must avoid detection through cunning skills and deception. Climb to the top of a cliff for a better angle, but risk being spotted. Take the lower-elevation route with lots of concealment, but compromise target visibility – your success depends entirely on you.
Dynamic weather and natural hazards put your survival skills to the ultimate test and make your hunt even more challenging. Shooting scenarios duplicate the controlled breathing, steady nerves and patience required for a well-placed shot.
Utilize master hunting skills like advanced stalking techniques to close in on your targets and increase your success. When the hunt is over, head to the Reflex and Target Shooting galleries, where you and up to three other friends can test your reflexes and accuracy.
I bought this game for my son who likes to play the Big Game Hunter games found in arcades (as do I). However, this game was a little more involved than a 9 yr old really wants, and my grown daughter and I ended up playing it.
It has good graphics and decent controls. The sensor is a little overly sensitive, so it’s very touchy to aim; but once you get the hang of it, it’s not really a big deal. The only complaint I have about the game is the repetitive opening sequences for each section.
They repeat the same thing every time you restart a section. It gets very old, very fast. But overall, a nice hunting game.
The Big Game series are an excellent shooting game for the xbox and the gun controller is a very different experience. Definitely get two to play against a friend! A criticism is that the controllers are ir based so it doesn’t give a fully natural feel to shooting around on screen like the light guns.
Also, even though it is a controller don’t expect to use this with COD/Battlefield or other First Person Shooters. I’m sure improvements will continue with this series but for now this provides a lot of fun.
The game has many nice features and maps, playing the different games were enjoyable and challenging. The rifles worked very well. I enjoyed the challenges and the variety of maps, I also enjoyed how good the graphics were.
This is definitely a worth while game for all age groups.

Reviews From Real Customers
The game came o time, it came with everything it should have, and works amazingly! It works on a U. S. console, allowing me to play it in English. One of the codes that came with the game was already used, but I thought that would be a given.
The game is really good. Runs 100% well too, no freezes, lags, glitches and no crashes. Good thing I still have my Xbox 360 console cause unfortunately it’s not backwards compatible on my Xbox One. I’m really enjoying the game, it was totally worth getting.

This outdoorsman’s simulation from Activision allows players to both hunt and fish. Available quarry includes ten species of deer, 11 other big game animals, 11 small game animals, and 11 species of fish.
The game offers virtual wilderness from around the globe, with 11 playable locations in regions such as Utah, Mexico, and New Zealand. Of course, before heading out to adventure outdoors, players will want to equip their characters with a wide assortment of available Cabela’s brand equipment and apparel.
This game is over ten years old now, but thanks to Xbox 360 backwards compatability, you can play this on a modern console. While the graphics aren’t up to current standards, they do hold up well for it’s age.
Gameplay is solid, with a large variety of stuff you can buy from the in-game store. There is also fishing, for those who look for something other than just hunting. If you don’t like hunting, I wouldn’t recommend this game.
If you want a good first person shooting experience where you can just sit down and relax in a digital world, give this game a shot.
I bought this game for my boyfriend it was a great decision. The hunting in this game is very realistic giving you gun choices, scent cover, and calls. There is not only hunting in this game but fishing as well.
You must actually hunt for the animals and fish they do not just come out for you. The downside it is very hard to learn the controls of the game, but once you do it is great fun. Another thing that I wish was different is that there are only two modes to play in: story mode, where your guide tells you when and what you will hunt, and a timed trophy mode where you make deer to shoot and then get a timed hunt to find it.
That being said I would not let that discourage you from buying the game. That is a minor detail that is made up for the the quality and life-likeness of the game. I have several hunting games and this is the best one I have found for life-like hunting.
If you are looking for that real experience this is the game. However, if you just want to shoot things like in The Great American Bird Hunt Game another game would be better suited for you. Overall Excellent- Very Satisfied.
The latest title in the best-selling Cabela’s Dangerous Hunts franchise on Xbox 360 puts players in bone chilling, pressure-packed hunting situations as they seek out savage animals in the world’s most dangerous locations.
Works very well. I use this product a lot and it is easy to use and there is nothing really to improve because this product is very good and it is the best out of all of them I definitely recommend. 10/10.
Game has great story. A bit tough getting used to though. I’ve not played any previous versions, yet this was geared for the PS3 Move and helped prompt my purchase. Action is good, with some of the play coming at you very fast.
Reloading with the move gets a bit tricky and I would suggest purchasing an after-market (or pay a bit more for the full game with gun included) pistol. The standard PS3 pistol may be a bit small for this game play and some aftermarket pistols seem hefty in the hand and may prove to help in dexterity needed for keeping the hands a decent distance apart for firing and re-loading.
Apparently some notable screenwriter or whatever developed the storyline. This doesn’t motivate my purchases nor affect my opinion of the game. The Galleries are fun for practice, then you should advance to the Survival and Trek modes.
The later were my favorite, as the action was progressively faster and help sharpen your skills. There were lots of stages to open as well and I’m sure many will seek “cheats”. Not for the animal lovers as you’ll be challenged to take down deer, ducks and other cute / non-threatening animals (Stick to the Survival / Trek modes).
Cabela’s African Adventures 2013 (Xbox 360 Games) Cabela’s African Adventures is a fast-paced adventure packed with animal combat encounters that will challenge your fight or flight instincts. Jump into a story-driven journey across an open-world – from verdant savannah to sun-seared desert and overgrown jungle, the vibrant environments of Africa are yours to explore.
Let intuition be your guide as you traverse the lands on foot or by truck, entering and exiting your vehicle anytime, anywhere.
Rage is a first-person shooter set in a post-apocalyptic world. You’ll battle an assortment of mutants, creatures, and gang members with a mix of conventional and unconventional weapons, from pistols and shotguns to crossbows with electric arrows and an edged boomerang called the “wingstick.
” Also featured in the game are armored dune buggies and ATVs, allowing players to more easily traverse the deadly environments, engage in car combat, and enter optional races to earn money and increase their fame.
The game spans two DVDs on xbox 360, with each disc featuring one main city, large expanses of hostile terrain, and several adjacent outposts. In addition to the single-player campaign, which spans an estimated 15 hours in length, Rage features two multiplayer game types.
In “Rage Combat Rally,” you’ll use the game’s vehicles to shoot down rivals, cross checkpoints, and more. “Legends of the Wasteland” is a two-player co-op mode featuring eight scenarios set in different areas from the solo campaign.
Rage is a great game and highly enjoyable, Whilst it lacks the freedom and roleplaying aspects of Fallout it makes up for it with dazzling graphics and vehicle fun. Being made by both ID and Bethesda parts of the game felt very much like Doom 3 with high intensity blood soaked situations whilst others felt like a fallout game getting to know the town and its residences.
The game is set into 2 cities (one for each disc ) with a moderate sized map for you to drive around to get to separate maps that you do on foot this makes the missions kind of linear but you go back to each mission map about twice where it has changed you either do it another route or backwards.
Game Length = 6. The game is not terribly long although single player campaign is two disks I felt it would of been fine on one disk as I was done with single player campaign in nightmare mode after about 22 hours, I left there could of been a lot more done with the job boards and more things out in the wasteland rather than bandit cars and plants to look for.
The game ended rather abruptly with no end boss and I didn’t even get to use the BFG. Graphics = 9. The Graphics are mint, things looked realistic and no complaints in this department. Story = 5. The story was pretty stock standard and there was no climax, I felt little to no attachment to the NPCs or my own character.
Play-ability = 6. I don’t think I will ever do single player campaign again and as I mentioned earlier the game had an abrupt ending with no continuation through the wasteland as the hero. Multiplayer has me kind of interested there is an entire disk dedicated to it I have started the co-op campaign which is just linear mission maps of the campaign doing different missions to the game with another player no free roaming thou and I’m yet to try deathmatch but that may be fun.
Difficulty = 6. As I said earlier I defeated the game on nightmare in around 20 hours and once I had all my special ammo and gears very little was a challenge. Originality = 7. Even though this game is very much like borderlands and fallout.
The Item crafting different ammo types and scenery bumped up this score (I’m a huge post-apocalyptic fan). I felt there could of been more thou which is why its only a 7. Overall = 7. The abrupt end with no continuation, and lack of missions dropped this score greatly it had so much potential with car racing and the few missions it did have were great the graphics were great, I even enjoyed the mini games there is a card game much like the ones on facebook but the game should of been longer its like they were going to make a much larger game but ran out of time.
I’m glad I played the game and it was well worth picking up.
Rage takes the elements of rpg, fps, and combat driving, adds a compelling story and drops it in a post apocalyptic world. The controls are smooth, the combat is top notch, the driving insane (in a good way).
I’ll not go into the story. But if you like sci fi, post apocalyptic wasteland storylines with crazy mad max type bandits, mutants and heavily cybered end game villians, I believe you will like this game.
In my opinion Rage is a much better experience than Fallout 4. Now Rage 2 is a different experience. After playing the first Rage, the second one is a bit disappointing, fun but disappointing.
The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where, reminiscent of Fallout 3, your character emerges from an underground arc many years after the disaster (in this cause a meteor impacting with Earth) to a world he no longer recognises.
Any fan of Bethesda who is looking to buy this game having previously played Fallout 3 should be wary. Rage fits more in the FPS genre than the RPG genre. In fact, the only role playing elemenets present in Rage are side quests (which are fun but limited) and a crafting system which allows you to create weapons, medicines and tools.
As an FPS Rage is one of the most enjoyable I have played recently. The enemy AI is more advanced than I have seen in other games for example, enemies will attempt to escape when they realise they are about to be defeated and attempt to ambush you later on if you do not give chase and finish them off.
Additionally, there are two types of enemy. There are melee based enemies which will rush you and ranged enemies which will take cover and attack from afar. Rage also features advanced weaponry to make combat even more interesting.
Typical to many shooters Rage features grenades, explosives and use of turrets. On top of this, however, Rage also makes use of electro bolts, mind control bolts and its original creation: Wingsticks.
Wingsticks are basically boomerangs which are capable of beheading enemies or becoming lodged in their bodies, causing severe damage. These are incredibly useful when you find yourself being flanked or ambushed.
Graphically, the game is quite stunning. Rage avoids the monotonous, dull colours of the Fallout 3 environment while also steering clear of Borderlands’ bright, cheerful cartoonish art style. The environments vary from area to area with the Dead City’s ghoulish, blood dripping walls to Subway Town’s mixture of the modern urban and dank sewer.
Unlike in Borderlands, the use of vehicles feels far more natural to the game. With bandits patrolling almost every inch of the Wasteland, vehicles are your only chance of survival while traversing these plains.
The combat is fun and easy to get used to and the addition of the racing mini-game is fun and addictive. You can then take the racing feature online and battle it out against other players and level up, adding a competitive aspect.
You can also play a co-operative mode titled: Legends of the Wasteland. This mode allows you and a friend to play through several interesting short stories based in the Wasteland and includes a point system in which you gain bonus for achieving head shots, multiple kills, etc.
My main issues with Rage are the lack of character customisation, a storyline which feels too linear and incomplete and limited side-quests. Many players have also complained about the auto-save feature which is infrequent.
The end of the game is very lacklustre with no actual boss fight per se, the actual villain of the game is mentioned several times but does not appear in the game. As an RPG gamer I found the linear storyline to feel quite restricting but at the same time I appreciate that linearity is common in shooters.
All in all I believe that the addition of DLC or even a sequel would give Rage a sense of finality that it currently lacks and apart from this Rage is a game well worth playing if you are a fan of shooters and don’t mind the lack of RPG elements.
Cabela’s North American Adventures 2011 (Xbox 360) Cabela’s North American Adventures gives players the opportunity to experience North America’s greatest hunts in over twenty prime hunting locations across the continent.
It introduces fresh touches that hunters will appreciate, including a custom gun builder that allows players the ability to create thousands of gun options with a variety of receivers, stocks, barrels, and scopes.
The game also capitalizes on the popularity of hunting shows and online videos by adding a cameraman into gameplay – to get compelling footage, hunters need to be at their best! Also, for the first time in franchise history, up to four friends can hunt together online at once in the Xbox360 and the PS3 versions of the game.
Once the hunt is done, friends can share their scores through online leader boards for bragging rights.
I bought this game for my husband who loves to hunt and is a hunter. I like how realistic the graphics are, what i don’t like nonething really its fun and entertaining. I used to own cabelas hunting game for our pc but thought i would give this a try seeing how my hubby likes the pc game.
I wanna say you won’t be disappointed but this is just my opinion. :-).
It’s an excellent PSP videogame. The hunting experience is very realistic and the immersion in the nature is at the same time fanciful (fantastic). This PSP videogame, with the others “Cabela’s”-series PSP games, with the “Rapala”-series and – still in the “fishing” corner -, with “Reel Fishing: The Great Outdoors”, is a truly recommended product for all fans of the genre.
Team up with a cast of crazy critters, unleashing your animal instincts in Open Season, the game – a riotous romp in the great outdoors where the rowdy brood of forest animals turns the tables on a bunch of unsuspecting hunters.
When a domesticated grizzly named Boog gets lured into leaving the creature comforts of home by a fast-talking mule deer named Elliot, he finds himself lost in the woods just three days before hunting season.
Forced to “rough it” in the great outdoors, Boog goes native, rallying all the forest animals to take back their home and send the hunters packing. Take a walk on the wild side in this outrageous adventure based on Open Season, the movie!.
Well i got this game for my daughter. She is 4 and I had reserves about buying her this game. I played through it first and as the rating might suggest, there are parts I found not appropriate for my kiddos.
I elected to let her use the mini games which she does with a few other games. The mini games are a little challenging for her but over all really fun to sit down with my wife, who is not a gamer, and have some family fun.
I would recommend the parent play through this first before allowing a young child to play it. For the gamer looking into this game. It is not very challenging for a avid gamer but for a casual gamer it may pose some challenge.
Besides some rear end shaking the game was kid friendly. It was funny and sparked me to rent the dvds for my kids to watch.
Open Season (Xbox) Fun for kids and adults alike, but replay value just isn’t there. Open Season is a fun game, and kids and adults will enjoy it, but once you’ve beaten it once you won’t feel like playing it again.
Open Season offers a ton of different challenging levels. Whether you’re collecting grubs, scaring hunters, racing through mine shafts, or facing a brutal boss, this game has it all. There are a ton of enemies you get to face, and a fair share of allies.
All of your allies offer something new to your bag of tricks. The ability to upgrade certain features between levels is a great addition to this game. You can upgrade attributes such as your roar, your throw, and your sense of smell.
Pros: – Tons of Levels – Tons of Bad Guys – 7 multiplayer mini-games – Tons of bad guys to face of against – Ability to Upgrade – Lots of side quests – Pretty decent animation – Ability to use other Animals to your advantage (Throwing Skunk Bombs or using squirrels to daze hunters) Cons: – Replay value low – Did they use the real actors voices for this game? (Have to beat the game to find out) – Final Verdict: 3/5 Rent or Buy?: Adults – Rent.
This is a kids game, and can be fun and challenging for Adults, but unless you’re under the age of 10, this game’s replay value is simply non-existent. P. S. Make sure you collect all the secret badges your first time through a level, it can be tedious and annoying playing through a level two or three times.
PLEASE VOTE IF YOU FIND THIS REVIEW HELPFUL. Thank you.
I decided to buy this game because my son is really young, and likes to do things that “daddy does,” but daddy plays games inappropriate for my son. He really took to the movie “Open Season,” so I thought I would give the game a try.
I’ve been really happy with it. It is very simple (unlike Bee Movie or Meet the Robinsons, which were fun for me, but way too difficult for my son). The actions and sounds are user/family-friendly, and it stays really true to the movie, but with some new, fun games.
The game is also self-explanatory and is it breaks it up with some instructionals that allow the player to set themselves, check the remote, and figure out what they are going to do and how they are going to do it.
It is still a little bit above my two-year old, but he plays it with some success, which is a step and I believe that it will be the first of any of the games I purchased, that he will be able to excel at.
In short, the game is simple and still fun, but if you are a hard-core gamer, or are looking for a challenge, it is probably not for you. Moms and children, it is a great game to play and to play together!.
Duck Dynasty (Xbox 360 Game) Take on the role of WillieÆs son John Luke as he learns how to become one of the Robertson men! Interact with Willie, Uncle Si, Jase and the rest of the family from the hit TV show Duck Dynasty.
Go duck hunting, varmint shooting, off-roading and play office pranks in the RobertsonÆs hometown of West Monroe, LA. Will you learn the way of the beards?.
You don’t even have to play this game to already have an idea on how bad it is. Just look at the cover, think about what the game’s content is about and you’ll know. If you expect a good game, you’ll be disappointed.
If you want to have fun playing a boring, badly designed game about reality star rednecks hunting ducks then you’ll be greatly entertained. For the cheap price I’d recommend it, but I wouldn’t recommend paying more than one Hamilton for this, that’s why I paid one Lincoln less.
Activision’s line of Cabela’s outdoor sporting games comes to the Xbox with this release. As in earlier releases, the 2004 edition of Cabela’s Deer Hunt boasts large, detailed, authentic hunting environments and sophisticated, accurate animal artificial intelligence.
This version also introduces new methods of tracking game. Nine species of deer are featured and more than ten unique racks can be obtained to serve as reminders of successful outings.
You can spend a lot of time playing this game. It takes patience to bag a nice one in this game. I bought this game so my boys could get do some hunting with me, I think the game is not as exciting as others in our small collection.

The conclusion of the hunting game for Xbox 360 is that the player has to be very careful and strategic in order to complete the game. The player has to be quick and precise in order to take down the animal, and if they are not, they will be quickly killed.
The player also has to be aware of their surroundings at all times, as there are many dangers that can occur while hunting.
