12 Best Heat Resistant Mat For Air Fryer (2022 Updated)

This mat is perfect for my flat iron in my newly renovated master bathroom where I want to protect the marble countertop. Good value also.

Bought this to place on my vanity so that the heat from my styling tools wouldn’t damage the glass top, but I find that it isn’t thick enough maybe? The glass top still gets very hot even with this that’s supposed to be protecting it.

It is ynyn practical product, it fulfills its purpose, which is to be heat resistant, I would have liked to find a larger size but it is agreed at its price which is fair, I give it four stars because there is no variety of colors 😅but in short it is good practical and functional, I like it.

I was so excited when I found one of these for the toaster oven. Until it came time to clean it that is. It says that it is dishwasher safe, so I plopped in the dishwasher, just the way I do with my “off brand” mats and lo and behold it melted.

Makes me kind of glad I hadn’t spent the big bucks on the cookie sheet sized one, because it’s completely useless now. I’m also really concerned that it melted in the dishwasher. Is my dishwasher that hot? Or is this not actually heat safe.

Either way, use at your own risk.

I highly recommend purchasing this item if you’re one of the customers that had to deal with toaster oven trays getting ruined. The SILPAT will protect it. I love how easily it fits in a 9’x 13′ pan/tray.

The clean up is a breeze. I highly recommend cleaning after each use. This mat helps from any type of food from not sticking to pan. It’s a well worth purchase.

I don’t know if these were only made to use with baked goods but I cook other things like pizza and breaded vegetables on it and it is completely stained after only a few weeks. It is impossible to get the discolorations out even after soaking t in warm soapy water.

Maybe it is not supposed to be used with oily foods but I didn’t see any directions stating that. Sorry to say, I will be returning it.

This is one of the best kitchen mats I’ve used. It’s temperature range safety up to 550 F is way higher than other fiberglass-based ones, and also because it’s silicone and not fiberglass-based it can be folded any which way without ruining the mat.

Beyond cooking functionality in the oven, it can also be cut to different sizes which I haven’t done but is awesome if I wanted multiple smaller mats for my quarter and eighth baking pans. I’ve also used this as a prep mat to place things before cooking.

The only place where things got a little messy was when I tried to use this for a high-hydration sourdough when I was forming it into a ball to rest; the dough began sticking almost immediately so I wouldn’t use it for that again.

Otherwise, it’s performed beautifully and I would definitely get another one to cut up into smaller sizes for my various baking pan sizes.

We bought one GIR baking Mat and one from OXO! The GIR worked perfectly the first time. However it basically fell apart after the second and third use. It is rated for temperatures over 400 degrees! However, I did not want to take it to the temperature limit, so I used it for baking at only 375 degrees! I took very good care of it.

However, I noticed that after the second or third use it developed a split in the material. When I first noticed the split in the material, I thought I could probably still use it for future baking projects as long as the material would be strong enough to stay together, since GIR touted its high quality.

But alas by the fourth try the thing was falling apart like Kleenex! It’s so bad that its embarrassing! Believe it or not I decided to take the badly deteriorating GIR and use is as cover for a prop in my yoga room.

Since the GIR is supposedly silicon it has NON SLIP properties that should keep my fingers from slipping on the floor when I do Downward Facing Dog or when I use yoga blocks on my hardwood floors! So guess what? The GIR doesn’t even do the Non Stop (grip aide) jobs well either.

It is maybe a 2 and a half out of 5 on aiding my grip and the worst part is that it tends to stick to your hands when using it. And dirt is drawn to it. Comparing your product to OXO! OXO baking mats discolor or darken slightly from the original transparent See Through look that they have prior to using them.

However, they are super strong, they are WAY BETTER than parchment paper, easy as can be to clean, and much stronger that the GIR! Not only stronger but they have a perfect combination of flexibility and firmness all in one! After 3 or 4 more successful uses with the OXO baking mats, I just had to order a second one to replace the GIR! I really wanted to love your product but all I can say now is GRRRRRRRR! I wish I could get my money back!.

I really like my baking mat as it cleans up very easily; a few wipes and any burned on food comes right off. The color is still vibrant after 10+ times in the oven. My only complaint, not really even a complaint, but carefully read the size description.

I was expecting it to cover half of a full cookie sheet, but much smaller than that. About the size of a sheet of ruled paper. But still, I will be ordering more baking mats! No longer will need to be buying endless rolls of parchment paper!!.

These are not easy to use. Especially the larger sizes, it’s hard to clean and if you try to fold them to scrub or get a better grip, they can tear. Better to find something that’s all silicone.

Fits great, performs wonderfully, and cleans like a dream!

Exactly what I needed to put under my new air fryer toaster oven. I needed something sturdy and heatproof because I set my toaster oven on a wire rack in my kitchen. This serves the purpose. I wanted the 20×17 size but that was sold out, so I opted for two 20×8 mats.

They work perfectly fine in my space. Very happy I found these! I purchased these at my local Ace Hardware, so they were perfectly flat and not bent as some people who ordered online experienced.

I bought this trivet to use under my small/tabletop grill to protect my deck from any stray charcoal bits that might escape. While I don’t think it has much heat resistance because it is just thin metal and an non-skid pad underneath, it does the job of catching stray ash.

It’s easy to clean and because of the backing, I don’t think it’ll blow away.

These counter protectors do their job. I have 1 large on either side of my stove. One has an air fryer on top. I’ve put hot skillet/pan on these with no damage. I use sprays like Method to clean. I bought them almost 3 years ago (Feb 2019) and they still look new.

We bought this mat specifically for making tarts in our 0. 75” x 4” tart rings (also De Buyer brand and we LOVE them) and it works amaaaaaazingly. Such an even bake and absolutely no puffing up while baking.

We weigh the dough down with beans in a muffin liner for the first 8 minutes or so and then remove them to finish baking. No docking necessary! And it leaves a really beautiful texture on the bottom of the baked tart 👌🏼.

Happy with the quality. A replacement for one I managed to damage.

This counter mat arrived in a HUGE box but not big enough so the corners of the counter mat bent. Very flimsy “comparatively light and insubstantial; easily damaged. ” I would guess the thickness of the aluminum this is made of is about the thickness of one of those throw-away turkey roasting pans and the bottom has a micro thin foam type backing.

Bed Bath & Beyond provided me with excellent customer service. I’m a senior citizen and not about to struggle with that HUGE box so I easily folded the counter mat into quarters and shipped it back in a small box.

I don’t understand all positive feedbacks on this counter mat. I question if we as country have resigned ourselves to poor quality products that don’t last? Not Me!.

Everyone who uses a smoker should be told about these mats. They are a bit pricey, but the clean up and also the fact that it it keeps smaller pieces of meat and fish from falling through the racks is worth every penny.

We have a Big Chief smoker and one mat covers most of a rack. In the bigger smokers or refrigerator smokers it takes two mats per rack. Great product.

I use my smoker to make venison jerky. These mats over the racks allow me to use my gun to squirt strips for efficient preparation. You can clean them by placing in your dishwasher, turn the heat off.

Follow the smoker directions and you won’t be disappointed.

If you need your end product crisp or dry, just oil your racks.

A good general size to fit most flat trays and or baking dish. It folds up the sides of my tray meaning the liquid from cooking meat and or anything else doesn’t leak onto the tray itself. So it actually does it’s job properly saving me the hassle of baked on food directly on the tray.

Very easy to clean. I’m really happy with the purchase. Would be great to see it in a smaller size too.

These baking mats work extremely well. They are a baker’s dream as cakes, biscuits etc do not stick and are so easily removed. I have cut a couple of the sheets to make into circles and smaller mats to fit my bakeware and they work so well.

Also inexpensive, reduces the waste of continually buying and using baking paper that is then discarded. Better for our planet and our pockets! Thanks Ikea.

Trying to reduce unnecessary waste in our household. The idea of using this instead of baking paper appealed to me. Not sure if it is reducing waste though as during first use, I baked something quite oily.

I had to use paper towel to wipe off the excess before being able to wash. It also attracts anything to stick to it, eg fluff in the air.
