There are a few different hand tool brands for mechanics, but the most popular ones are likely Craftsman, Stanley, and Klein. These brands offer a variety of hand tools for mechanics, including wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and more.
Each brand has its own strengths and weaknesses, so it’s important to choose the right one for the job at hand. For example, Craftsman hand tools are known for their durability, while Stanley hand tools are known for their precision.
From any project as complicated as spending the day under the hood to a task as simple as tightening bolts, you’ll have the tools you need. Since no two jobs are the same, this set comes in an array of sizes and measurements, so you will always have what you need on hand.
This high quality mechanic’s tool set includes the most used automotive and mechanic’s wrenches, pliers, ratchets, sockets and drivers in SAE and metric sizes. Constructed of durable chrome vanadium, this mechanic’s tool set is built to last.
Includes a custom storage case to keep tools organized and protected.
Our small excavation company runs these kits in every work truck. Great price, Great size for transport and surprising how many jobs can be tackled with this seemingly smaller tool set. However, these tool cases just aren’t rugged enough to last any of our guys more than 2 years.
Some guys less. With the latches breaking, the tools don’t stay organized, guys spending time trying to keep them organized or searching for sockets and things get lost which makes it useless on certain occasions.
Harbor freight unfortunately has no way of allowing the consumer to purchase replacement cases. If these cases had better hinges and latches they would be a 5 star. I could go on and on of why I think this set can’t be beaten for the price otherwise.
I unfortunately see a different brand of tool kits in the future riding in our work trucks because of this issue.
I’ve had this tool kit for several years. I am not a professional mechanic, but I do have 2 Harley’s and 3 vehicles. I have put them through all kinds of abuse and they have always performed well. I haven’t had anything break on me yet.
I know I have had this set for at least 4 years and have used them on all of my vehicle services, motorcycle services/repairs, and lawnmower. They get used quite regularly and I trust them. My friend and I used them to rebuild my 1994 Harley.
I have an older lawnmower that likes to eat deck belts, and this kit comes in handy with the ratchet extensions and the universal adapters that enable me to get in all of the tight places. I’d recommend this set to anyone.
It even impressed another friend of mine who is a Master Harley-Davidson Technician. He uses much more expensive brands, but he really liked how it has virtually everything that is used on a regular basis.
I added a 3/8″ breaker bar and SAE and metric Allen head bits, but that’s about all that I needed. I would definitely recommend this set to anyone who does their own vehicle services or repairs and doesn’t want to take out a second mortgage for bigger name brands.
The fact that it is in a case makes it even better. TIP: I have never had a problem with rust and this is most likely due to the fact that I put a VERY thin coat of WD-40 on them – especially the pliers and wire cutters.
My grandpa taught me that years ago and he still has tools from the ’60s that look brand new. Take care of what you have and they will last. If you strip a ratchet, take it back and get another one. Great set.
the wrench selection, it sucks. It is missing key sizes in both metric and sae. You still need to carry a real set with you to have what you will undoubtedly need. I’m going to fix it by cutting out the moulded wrench holder and putting in a pouch full of the full wrench sets.
While the socket portion of this set is decent quality, the rest is economy grade stuff. They really should make an SAE version and a Metric version. As long as you are not working on a car from the mid seventies you rarely need to have both with you.
The set would be lighter and they could put in a full wrench set.
The DWMT73803 Mechanics Tool set comes with 168 pieces, allowing you to tackle a wide range of projects. Each set comes with three sizes of ratchets with socket extensions, universal joints, and adapters to help you tighten those fasteners from as small as 5/32 inches to as big as 15/16 inches.
The mechanics tool set uses DirectTorque technology which prevents slipping and rounding of fasteners. The Chrome Vanadium steel theyre made from means strength, durability, and resistance to scratches and rust.
The knurled control rings provide extra grip for easy assembly.
I’ve been looking at mechanics tool sets in cases for a while and this completely fit the bill! This set is very well rounded and has everything from universal-joints to all size extensions! This set just has everything, things not always combined in others which made this a big win! The tools are very well built and extremely tough as they held up getting some very old parts loose.
The buttons on the ratchets are easy to operate with big or small hands and fingers. The finish is nice and makes for very easy wipe down after use. The hard case is much better than I expected! I knew the set was going to be heavy and when I saw the case had four (thats 4) latches to secure it I was very pleased! Overall its a must for any mechanic who appreciates well thought out quality products! buy again?, Definitely!.
Really great set of tools. They feel great in my hand. They are super strong. And just about every tool I’ll ever need to work with nuts and bolts anywhere. Watch out though – this stinker is HEAVY – 42 pounds.
You’d never put this anywhere inside a car. If you’re moving around your project, you really can’t pull this box around with you. The case is huge when it is open. There is a minor annoyance, one socket always falls out when opening the box.
Some sockets are a little harder to remove than others. I ended up buying a Dewalt 34 piece 1/4 and 3/8 drive metric and standard socket set to carry around for projects. This 204 piece thing is just too massive and heavy to use on remote jobs.
The Craftsman 159 Piece 3 Drive Mechanics Tool Set comes equipped with 72 Tooth ratchets, a broad assortment of drive tools, and a rugged blow mold case. This case is constructed with metal hinges for separate sets, and the dimensions are specifically designed to fit into Craftsman; metal storage boxes for easy organization.
This 142 Piece Mechanic’s Tool Set with Case is a versatile choice with two pear head ratchets, a variety of sockets, extensions, universal joints and adapters. The set comes in a durable case featuring metal latches for added security.
The 72 tooth count ratchets come equipped with a quick release button to easily attach or remove a socket. The sockets included DirectTorque technology to help prevent rounding of fasteners and provide better grip.
loved the set until I tried to use it. No deep well 9/16 or metric equivalent 14mm. Also missing 15mm Deep well, and 1/2″ end wrench. Unbelievable, these are some of the most common needed sized in the world.
Dewalt seriously dropped the ball on this one. I have over $2K worth of Dewalt tools that I love, and use daily, but I will definitely be more careful buying Dewalt tools in the future.
In my opinion, Dewalt has put together some nice sets. Well thought out, and with almost no repetition of sizes like so many “sets” have. I almost pulled the trigger on this set, but it is completely missing any socket in the 9/16″ size.
1/4″ or 3/8″ drive. C’mon guys and gals, that one is important. Almost nailed it !!.
I purchased this set as a Birthday gift for my Daughter and she loves it. De Walt makes great tools. My son uses this make of tools he has his own construction company. Their grandfather was an auto mechanic.

Purchased for a friend. The drawers dividing by drive size is a perfect idea for him. The tools arrived in great shape and well ahead of schedule. Only 2 sockets had jumped from thei peg and box was in fine shape.
The DeWalt DWMT75000 Mechanics Tool Set consists of 200 pieces, including a comfort grip multi-driver, so you have the right tool for the job every time. The hand tools sport knurled rings that improve your grip and make manual tightening easy.
Quickly find the tool you need in the well-organized carrying case, where each component has its own spot. Age Group: adult.
Great quality set! Great price for 200 pieces. The set is well thought out to provide 90% of tools you need in an emergency. I would also carry a knife, slip joint pliers, and needle nose pliers. The box secures the pieces well.
Just make sure you open it correctly or the sockets will spill. We have this as backup in our car. I truly enjoy using this set. The organization of the set and the feel of the tools is all quality. They have a lifetime no hassle warrantee.
I tried the 3/8″ drive to take off my wheels. My craftsman 72 tooth drive stripped (disappointing). Craftsman tend to add a bunch of less useful driver bits to raise the piece number. These provide what you will likely need instead.
All sockets are 6 point which secures to the bolt better. The wrench is 70 something teeth so you can adjust it instead of the sockets. These tools are better quality than current Craftsman. 95$ for this set is hard to beat.
The included tools are quality, but the selection is lacking. It’s hard to figure out the thinking behind the included sockets. There seem to be an abundance of 1/4inch, metric deep sockets. Others are incomplete or not included.
The case is sturdy, but holds the tools so well, they have to be pryed out. Not enough to make me hate the set, but irritating.
I wanted a good quality tool set to carry in my work van. Enough of what you are likely to need when out on the road, but not everything you could possibly need, which would be too onerous to carry around.
This set met the mark. It is good quality, and feels well in your hands. It is pretty complete with common sockets and wrenches, as well as driver bits.
Slip joint, groove joint, and long nose pliers come with the socket tool kit for increased access in various situations. Fiberglass hammer for increased comfort and decreased fatigue. Bi-material screwdriver for increased comfort and decreased fatigue.
Full-polish finish with large markings for corrosion resistance and easy identification. Durable blow molded case is mobile and easy to store.
I have had this tool set awhile. As a professional handyman and former mechanic, I cannot say this set is anything but the bare minimum of what the standard is. That said, let’s dive into a 9 point review.
The good: 1. ) Ratchets and sockets are quality made 2. ) Good choice variety of tools for a starter kit. 3. ) Latch issue seams resolved and less likely to break. The bad: 1. ) Tape measure and razor are cheap pieces of junk that are more the quality and feel out of a children’s set.
2. ) Screwdrivers appear “under standard” 3. ) Sockets are unsecured in a way that they all fall out if not opened properly. picking up sockets sucks. Things to improve on 1. ) Case design 2. ) Quality and feel of secondary tools 3) put a sturdy molded thin plastic around ratchet handles so it’s gentler than metal on hands and doesn’t get too hot in sun or metal cold during freezing winter’s.
Conclusion. I personally feel this set is a huge let down to anyone purchasing this set thinking they are getting the Craftsman pride that “dad” had in his same tools. I own many of these tools and gladly paid a premium.
This isn’t a set I would buy my son if I wanted him to share the same brand loyalty I do. This compares to every other tool set out there. I see nothing that sets it apart from any of the other tool sets that can be found for less money.
The Craftsman 102 piece mixed tool set comes in a very nice hard plastic box that easily stores all 102 tool pieces. The box has two hard plastic clasps that slide up and down making for ease of use.
The tools are everything you would need for handyman jobs including ratchet, sockets, hex keys, screwdrivers. Hammer, pliers, wrenches, bits etc and even a tape measure! The hard case conveniently holds all of these tools to easily find and remove from the case.
This case is easy to store and have handy for any job that I will need for around my home. I am so excited to finally have a nice convenient set of my own! I have placed it in my garage for now and the slim hard case takes very little space to store.
The Craftsman 102 piece mixed tool set has a full lifetime warranty and the Craftsman number for any questions is on the case. I absolutely love this tool set and its quality as well as its ergonomic design.
I will look for other Craftsman items and tools as I am so impressed with the quality of this set.
I wanted to use this for awhile so I could leave a truly honest review. Since we started using it 2 weeks ago, we’ve used it on 5 different occasions already. My main goal of having this is to have all of the tools we ocasionally use in 1 convenient place.
Usually, when we need a tool for something, we have to hunt around for it, and dig through drawers trying to find it. With this, you can keep all of the tools in one spot, and it’s in a nice case that you can store in a closet, so you wont be cluttering up your drawers with tools.
All of the tools are of great quality. They snap easily into place when you’re done using them, too! I would recommend this for anyone like me that likes to stay organized, and doesn’t like tools cluttering up your drawers.
187 bits does not qualify this as a mechanics tool set. it’s just utterly ridiculous to call it that. as a mechanic, the only bits you’ll ever use are the hex key bits SAE and Metric and torx. so you have roughly 160 bits that are completely useless as a mechanic.
and you can get all these useless bits in a $20 kit, instead of wasting an extra $200 for this worthless kit. when they start adding the complete socket sets instead of partial sets, or start adding complete wrench sets or stubby wrench sets to make up the 160 or so difference, it will be worth the money.
The 3 quick release 72-tooth ratchets require as little as 5 degrees of movement to turn a fastener. The set contains SAE and Metric, standard and deep sockets along with several accessories that feature large size markings for easy readability.
This case is jam packed full of tools in a small case Looking for another just like this I’ve changed over to the husky hand tools. when I have a problem. take to store. here is a NEW one. NEW ONE. Is what it is craftsman.
Need tools? Looking something reliable on markets and its expensive? Get this one, promise you will be happy! I was looking for tool box and good set of tools, so this came with everything Exactly same tool set at Home Depot will cost you $270 plus tax.
This 101 piece set contains all the sockets, wrenches, and pliers needed for small engine and other mechanical and general repairs. Tools are heat treated and chrome plated where appropriate. The tool handles have a double dipped plastic coating for grip and durability.
This set includes all the tools a mechanic needs for tasks like replacing spark plugs, stripping wires and cleaning battery terminals. Plenty of pliers, wrenches and sockets ensure no bolt or nut stays loose.

Great tool set for the money, Well worth it. Somebody gave me a gift card, I thought what could I possibly want at Target? I saw this set online, they had it on 14th Street, all the Tools are drop forged.
Star bits ,metric, even has a little circuit Tester, electrical tape, a couple of Deep well Sockets, Sturdy Bi fold case , Not a Bad addition to your bigger tools.
They came on time. I ordered them just for some things in my garage like my new large snow thrower. An addition to my others, but the wife did not mind the price was good lol. ANd it has both U. S. standard spark plug ratchet.
They seem to be made well, my brother is a mechanoc and he used them. He said they are not like his but they do the job and he could not break them. He is good at that! So over all a good product.
I have not had a chance to use this item yet. I bought it for my car, just in case I would break down along the road. ( Just in case I have some nice man willing to stop and help me ). It looks strong and has everything someone would need to work on my vehicle.
It also comes with a bit driver, specialty and nut bits, combination wrenches, and hex keys. The set comes in a durable blow molded case with metal latches for security. This set of tools is built to meet the demands of hard-working professionals with a full-polish finish that provides corrosion resistance.
I was in the market for a portable tool set that would tackle a wide variety of tasks and this set fits the bill completely. Sturdy, well made tools and a well thought out group of tools make this a very handy set.
The ratchets are smooth yet easy to grip. The 72 tooth ratchets make removing fasteners much easier especially in tight or awkward places. The variety of accessories included come in handy for a wide range of tasks.
The assortment of regular and deep sockets are perfect for automotive fasteners and general tasks. There are plenty of sockets and the range is perfect for everything that I do. The combination wrenches are very handy and the DirectTorque heads grip fasteners strongly and make removing stubborn fasteners much easier.
There are two sets of hex keys included and the holder for each set is wonderful for organizing and holding the hex keys. That is a huge plus for keeping all of the hex keys organized and ready for use.
The vinyl grip screwdriver is my favorite screwdriver ever! The grip is incredible and there are plenty of bits for a wide variety of tasks. The blow molded case is a bit large, but holds all of tools securely and is well organized.
The case has locking tabs for each tool that holds them securely in place and prevent sockets from popping out and mixing together. This is a great detail for the case as it is able to hold each tool in place securely whether the case is open or closed.
This tool set is now my go to tool set. It has a great variety of tools and is truly useful.
Although, I was previously unaware of Dewalt’s line of hand tools, I have owned many of their power tools over the years due to their reputation for quality and durability. I was anxious to see if this mechanic’s tool set would live up to the DEWALT name.
After using it for a few weeks, I can say emphatically that it did. First impressions: 1)This set is heavy which cuts down on its portability slightly. If you are planning on keeping this in a tool box in your truck, lifting in and out will be awkward.
Behind a seat or on a bench top in your garage or workshop is the best bet and where mine will stay. 2). Nice selection of bits without a lot of “filler pieces” you’ll never use just to get their piece count up.
Every one of the 172 pieces I can see needing. 3) Nicely fitting, quality case and holders that is actually intuitively designed. The layout actually makes sense here (which is rare) so it’s easy to find what you are needing.
Use: The larger number of teeth on the ratchet makes getting into tight areas a breeze. This was especially useful on a spark plug I was replacing on an older lawn mower. The handles are comfortable and easy to grip.
The quality and finish are exceptional. With a lifetime guarantee, you can’t go wrong. In fact, the only negative comment I have comes not from me but from my 83 year old father who wanted to try them out.
His complaint comes from the size of the lever to switch the ratchet from tighten to loosen. So those with limited dexterity may have issues but the vast majority of users will not.
When I first received this tool set I found about a dozen pieces loose in the case. The loose parts were likely due to shipping because I was able to put them all where they belong and the case holds them tight.
Its not so tight that you can’t get them out either. In fact, all the sockets can be rotated while being held in the case but are still held securely. I also noticed the plastic case has metal latches which snap closed securely.
The other side of the case has actual hinges and not a folded seam like my old set had which this is replacing. The sockets all appear to be of high quality with clearly visible size markings and part numbers.
All sockets are knurled for better handling. I found the knurling quite helpful when working with the sockets. Overall I am very happy with this mechanics set and would recommend it.
Just bought this tool set – I’ve got tons of Duralast tools and have no issues, so I’m sure I’ll have no issues with these, but this case is seriously terrible! I have the set that’s in the product video, and that case is good – THE VIDEO DOES NOT SHOW THE CASE THAT YOU GET WITH THIS SET! You have to carry this case flat and with the correct side facing up; if you carry like a briefcase (which the handle encourages you to do), you will have a giant mess when you open it up.
Personally, I use these sets to store inside my vehicles for roadside emergencies, and the loose manner in which all the sockets sit in here makes this set terrible for that… Really is too bad, because these are good tools.
If this set will live in your garage, it’s a good set; unfortunately I’ll be returning.
Having owned multiple Duralast tool sets and assorted tools in the past, I had no negative expectations when I purchased this set to keep in my project car. Apperently somewhere along the line, the design of the case changed, from a press tool in style, to a set tool in style.
(Also the external design changed near the handle) This is all well and good if you store your tools flat, but the second you carry this case, most of the interior contents proceded to fall out of their respective place, and create a headache when you open it the next time.
Maybe the design has changed back to the older (better in my opinion) style, but who knows. In closing, the tools are fine, the case, plainly sucks.
I was a little nervous buying this tool set after comparing many other brands but was quite impressed after using it. Excellent quality and good selection of tools included in the kit. I did a major repair on ford 3.
5 duratec internal water pump/timing chain in my home garage and this kit was excellent! Quick tip: the wrenches have a lock/release button which keeps the socket locked on so it wont fall off! Five stars!.
Overall this is a decent kit to throw in the back of a car, but I wouldn’t depend on it in an emergency. The magnet between the bit driver and bit holder is weak so you have to pay close attention when you’re using it, especially in an engine bay.
I do appreciate the fact that this kit comes with a fuse tester — haven’t seen that as standard in others. The flashlight is useless; use your cell phone instead. I also like that the sockets have an actual plastic holder as opposed to elastic which can wear out over time.
I probably won’t buy this again but I don’t mind the kit that I have.
For the price its okay but a little lacking. I replaced the flashlight with a ratchet wrench. And the zipper is very flimsy. The first time I opened it it separated. But since I have this in a toolbox its not that big of a deal, but I wouldnt rely upon it staying contained otherwise.
The case is better than others in this price range. The tools are acceptable, with the exception of the useless screwdriver. The steel ball that holds the attachment into the driver jammed the first time using it, so the bits fall out with zero retention.
I threw the screw driver away and put in another one I had.
It is a complete tool set for mechanics that includes ratchets, extension bars, SAE and metric-sized sockets and nut bits, hex keys, combination wrenches and much more. Everything is housed in a rugged carry case.
I so love this tool set. I have had many tool sets over the years. But none of them can compare to this stanley set. But a little advice keep them away from your kids and grand kids. My sons don’t know how to put them back in the case.
And my 6 year old grandson has learned to take things apart with them!!.
I bought this socket set on sale to replace my 1st socket set, a cheap Fixman hand tools set. It is such an incredible upgrade. The tools looked really cool and still are. The case is so snug after so many years I still have to pry out the small sockets in order to use them.
No chance to misplace or lose any piece from the case. It has stood up to all my expectations and did good on almost every job that could be tackled with the sockets and ratchet wrenches: from assembling furnitures to changing car battery, engine oil and wheels or some DIY home projects and other light car maintenance and repairs.
Since nothing lasts forever, after time and use, a few parts broke. So at some point, I had to deal with Stanley Support for sockets and accessories warranty replacements. To my surprise, It was easier than dealing with the store clerks.
The brand name lives up to its reputation. So overall, I have great experience with Stanley.
Love the set but it’s always messed up. What customers should be able to do is buy any of the carry cases that the various sets come in. The cost of these sets are very reasonable therefore the carry cases should be too.
The prices are that good that I have considered buying a set in a case, but that would mean that the tools I hav already purchased would be virtually wasted. Food for thought.
My first shipment arrived damaged but Acme responded very quickly by resending a new kit which arrived in perfect condition. the kit itself seems solid, haven’t had a chance to use it yet but it appears to be a quality set which should cover you in most situations.
This must-have 210 Mixed Tool Set has the tools you need to tackle a variety of tasks around the house. Whether you’re doing automotive repairs or hanging pictures, this tool kit will equip you with the high-quality STANLEY essentials required to complete many DIY projects.
Full polish chrome finish for anti-corrosion protectionTools meet or exceed ANSI specs.
Great tool set. I got this because my husband and I recently bought a house and needed a good tool set to do basic repairs and maintenance. First off I like that it’s a self contained set. All tools come in a secure hard plastic case.
This case has sides that fold open, and all tools have individual slots within. And the tools it comes with are great! Sockets, pliers, screwdrivers, screwdriver bits, hex keys, wrenches, a tape measure, drivers, and a cutter with blades are among the tools contained within this set! And the best part, besides each item being securely stored in the case, is that you just snap everything in it’s place, fold the sides in, and then turn the secure latch and it stays shut! It’s a great tool set for any task, and I love having it in my garage!.
Wide variety of socket sizes and types. Kit is basic but contains enough tools to get most automotive projects completed. Sockets seem to be solid and able to hold up to some extended use. Ratchets have a nice, smooth swing and have stood up to some significant torque.
The wrenches are lightweight and have a matte texture. I don’t feel that they would hold up to heavy use. The hand tools are similar to the wrenches as they are decent and will get the job done but it doesn’t seem that they will last forever.
The case is nice and holds the tools together very well. This kit is perfect for light use DIY and basic automotive projects. Great to have around the house or to throw in the trunk of your car.
This tool set is better than the Craftsman one I had. All of the tools stay in place when you lug the case around. Everything works and it has every common socket size I’ll ever need. Definitely a good brand, although I wish there were more CHANNELLOCK tools/sets available.
They are pretty hard to find sometimes. Sam’s Club had a nice special on the same tool set but with a nice rolling tool box and neoprene drawer liners a while back but I haven’t seen anything comparable since.
If you are lucky enough to find one of these I recommend getting it, even if you have to sell your set of a different brand.
I didn’t notice the extensions were missing for the 1/4 & 1/2 in drive ratchets until I used it this past weekend. Not sure why they would leave these out of this set. I needed the 1/4in extension on my project.
I had to go get one out of my main toolbox at home. Glad I found this out before I needed it on the road. Channellock could have left a couple of other things out so they could have included the extensions.
The Crescent mechanic’s tool sets are professional tool sets contain tools for industrial jobs. They come with durable, full polish Crestoloy alloy steel ratchets, drive tools, and sockets that are reliable and resist rust and wear.
Also included in the CTK170MPN are: full polish combination wrenches, an adjustable wrench, pliers, bits, hex keys, and screwdrivers. The heavy-duty blow-molded case has steel hinges, latches on top and sides, and a designated spot for each tool.
I bought the crescent 148 piece socket set at Bridgeport tool and equipment in Marietta Ohio in July 2017 and I have used it at my camper when checking all the bolts on my Honda HRX 217 self propelled mower and have also used it to change the oil in my 2010 Yamaha G29 gas golf cart I either use a 17mm wrench or a 17mm socket.
I have about six different crescent socket sets and the 148 piece socket set is the one that I use mostly all of the time. I actually used it today on my dads Troy Bilt riding mower to take the tire off to take it and get it fixed and then used it to put it back on.
I also just recently bought the crescent 16 piece ratchet accessories kit with 1/2 1/4 3/8 extensions universals and all the different adapters and also has the 1/2 and 3/8 breaker bars. I bought it to use with my 148 piece crescent socket set and it has been really handy so far can’t wait to continue using it for many years to come.
This set is a very good and complete set for the average weekend project home owner. It is complete with SAE and metric sizes for sockets and wrenches. It comes with a long needle nose pliers, and crescent wrench.
It comes with several ratchet extensions and ratchet tools for half inch, 3/8, and 1/4 inch drives. Additionally, there are 2 allen wrench sets, and 49 different tips that can be used with the included multi tip screwdriver.
The phillips and regular head screwdrivers are standard, and what one would expect in a kit of this type. It does come with an SAE and metric spark plug socket to be used with the 3/8 drive. It has 9 deep well sockets.
The case is durable and has latches on 3 sides. A felt buffer pad is included to help keep everything in place. As a basic socket-style tool set, it is complete and should have all the basic fittings that any weekend warrior would need.
Negatives would be that it would have been nice if a larger socket driver could have been included to take the half inch drive. A screw bin in the plastic case would also be a nice feature. Other than that, highly recommend.
This is a great all-purpose set. From assembling furniture and toys to basic household tasks, you will find the tools you need in one spot. The ratchet set is a nice bonus over similar sets we have had.
Some of those bigger assembly jobs (like backyard swingsets) are much easier with the right tools and those ratchets have come in handy on more than one occasion. The hex sets are superb and the storage box is perfect for keeping them all together and organized so you’re not fumbling for the right tool every time.
This set also has more bits than our previous sets, which has also come in handy a time or two. The full length screwdrivers were also a surprise. The previous kits all had short handles so they weren’t always easy to use or grip well for the most torque.
