20 Best Hand Mixer For Cookie Dough (2023 Updated)

I’ve had this for 3 months now, and I’m not a fan. I have a stand mixer for most things, so I mostly use the hand mixer for mashed potatoes, and this hand mixer does not do that well. I feel like the coated beaters might work well with a runny batter, but when it comes to something with some density to it like potatoes it makes a HORRIBLE mess.

I guess traditional metal beaters cut into the potatoes easier, and these ones just seem to push the potatoes around. it literally flings potatoes everywhere. I’ve tried cutting my potatoes smaller and that helps some, but is a nuisance.

I end up using the beaters (with the mixer off) to smash the potatoes, turn the mixer on for a few passes around the bowl, turn off mixer, smash some more, repeat. I haven’t tried to cream butter with it but I assume it would do the same then.

As far as the speed, I can’t go past 1, once the potatoes are fully mashed using the steps above I can turn it to 2. What could you possibly need a mixer that goes THAT fast for? I can’t imagine what the higher speeds do! All in all, I’ll be buying a new one with traditional beaters and donating this one.

I am loving the speed options on this, from #1 – to get my egg whites started to #7 for that thick dough. The LED speed is easily recognized through a window on top of the mixer. It’s not heavy to handle and the power function and grip is perfect.

The quick burst option at every speed makes quick work of my recipes. The cord is swivel which I truly appreciate, no more getting it twisted around my hand or bowl. The mixer is easy to wipe down and the beaters are dishwasher safe.

I got the Cuisinart round classic brushed stainless steel waffle maker for a few reasons. I wanted to get an entry level waffle maker without spending much money so I could get a good Baseline on possibly moving on to a higher-end model down the line.

this one fit the bill. but only because it’s almost half off when I got it. at full price, don’t bother. this machine is NOT a $55 piece of equipment. the hinge is a little flimsy. the temperature dial is loose and inaccurate with a very large dead zone.

an entire numbers worth. so if for example you push it up to four, and then pull it back down to three, unless you feel the resistance of the mechanism turning on the inside, you’re not actually changing the temperature.

you have to push it past where you want it. if you see it at full price, skip it and get one of the better ones for the same price, or a little bit more. this doesn’t make the Belgian style waffles with the really wide, deep pockets.

this makes a wider, more traditional American waffle with smaller, shallower pockets. that’s a matter of preference. if it’s not what you’re looking for, skip it. to answer the big question, yes, this waffle iron CAN make crispy waffles.

I make them with the setting very slightly above three. I’ve never been able to make crispy waffles before, but then I tried adding cornstarch and sure enough they came out crispy. if you’re going to make a sizable batch, have the oven preheated to 200 or so and stick them on the rack in there when they’re done.

they will stay warm and moisture won’t condense on them and make them floppy. I’m seeing too many mixed opinions on how to properly Grease the waffle iron before putting in the batter, and how to clean it, so I opted for the safe route.

I didn’t use any spray oil, as that can supposedly make non-stick coatings tacky. instead I just brushed vegetable oil onto the iron with a pastry brush. your first batch of waffles should not be eaten.

those are sacrificial waffles that should be cooked at a higher Heat until they’re more Brown than they should be. I did two of them like this. I oiled it both times. it helps season the iron and pull out any dust or chemicals.

after that, I have it oiled it again. and I’ve had no stickage whatsoever. to clean up I just rub with a moist paper towel, making sure I get between every Groove and as much of the inner surface as I can.

it’s not a flip waffle maker, so there’s no good way to make sure the batter is distributed entirely evenly, so what I did was just find the parts that don’t get hot, then as soon as I put the batter in, which is a half scoop for me, I close it and flip it over for about 10 to 20 seconds, and then set it back down properly.

hands off until it mostly stops steaming. at the end of the day, like I said, for what it is it’s good. just don’t expect the Moon from it because it won’t, nor was it designed to give that to you.

This waffle maker makes very large thick waffles that easily separates into 4 pieces. It uses 1 cup of batter per waffle. And most recipes in book make 4 waffles. I freeze the extras and warm them in toaster as needed.

I cook mine on 31/2 to 4 for a golden color. The first one cooks perfectly but the rest cook a little uneven in places but it doesn’t affect taste at all. I prefer them a little lighter if I intend to freeze and reheat later.

Follow directions on pouring batter in bottom half then spreading it around. If not immediately serving each one, then place on rack to help keep them crisper. If you stack they will become soft. I make the yeast pancake recipe in book.

Takes 5 min to make the day before. Refrigerate. Ready to cook when I get up. No morning prep to do. Delicious. I’m very happy with this product. Waited for it to go on sale at kohls plus used a 30% off coupon.

I get very emotional about my mixers. We got one for our wedding& it lasted 19 yrs!!! In fact it still works just not up to my standards. I bought a inexpensive mixer no name brand around Christmas each time i used it on the lowest speed, let’s just say cleaning up after everything was flung across the whole kichen& the cleanup took longer than the whole baking experience.

I just don’t like to use my big Kitchen Aid for smaller mixing & slower start ups. I trashed the “new” one and bought my Cuisinart hand mixer. It arrived within a day & I used it immediately after putting the beaters thru soapy water.

I was ready for a big mess of confectionary sugar but WALLAH! This wonderful mixer started at such a nice slow start I was hooked within the first 10 seconds!! It has a heavy duty motor that will do from fine to heavy duty mixing.

I had read some people having trouble keeping it standing upright. All you have to do is easily swival the cord the way you are setting it down& no problem. I think being ambidextrous helps. The cord is not a problem.

The beaters are nice& large not puney ones. If you don’t buy this particular mixer you will certainly be missing out greatly! Buyer be happy!.

Lots to like about this mixer, I exchanged it for one that was much heavier. This has a little weight, not impossible even with arthritis. Everything is well-thought out and designed. Longer beaters with no center post.

Dough hooks, wisk and attachment for soups or smoothies. It is SO quiet, even on the higher speeds. Starts on a very low speed and the digital display shows clearly what speed you are on. On/off works very smoothly and mixer goes back to default of 1.

No surprises when you resuming mixing. If I could change one thing it would be the cloth bag to store everything. Would much prefer an hard case as my house is old and dusty. May look for a case or see if Cuisinart has one I could purchase separately.

I’m happy thus far with this mixer. It’s fairly priced and works well. I needed additional space on my counter and purchased this so I could put my KitchenAid mixer elsewhere. I haven’t used it for cookie batter, just cake batter and mashed potatoes (did a fantastic job), but I wasn’t looking for a heavy-duty hand mixer anyway; therefore, it will not be a problem if it doesn’t have enough power for thicker batters.

I got this item for Christmas. I brought it for myself. I have used it twice since then, today I tried to use it for the third time and the motor stopped. A funny, burnt smell came from the mixer and it just stopped.

It’s only the second hand mixer I’ve ever purchased. The first was a very cheap mixer I purchased from Dollar General right after getting married. It’s all I could afford. After 20 years it stopped working so I purchased this mixer, what I considered an upgrade.

I’m very disappointed and I going to Dollar General right now. It’s a cute mixer, but that’s all I can say.

Love how compact this hand mixer is. Everything fits inside the case it comes with including the cord. This mixer comes with a new design of beaters which is a helix. It helps to mix more thoroughly and it definitely made my batter stick to them less than traditional beaters.

I also loved that this mixer was able to continue mixing large batters. I have a large family and so I usually have to double, and sometimes triple, batter. This was able to mix it all without burning out the motor.

It has a more powerful, but controlled first speed which helps slowly mix batter without flinging it everywhere. All items are dishwasher safe and were easy to clean. This would be a great house warming gift or even a bridal shower gift.

I am really excited and happy that I was able to try the 5-speed hand mixer. I am very impressed on how well this product works and how great it mixes. I have used it a few times already for baking since I have recieved it, and I it one of the best mixers I have ever used.

The mixer itself feels nice in my hand while holding it to mix, it has a strong capability to mix cookie dough and even cake mixes. The mixer is made very well and I see that it will definitely last me a long time based on the durability that it has presented.

The attachments are also nice, different shapes and very easy to attach to the mixer and to also remove. I am very impressed and would definitely recommend this awesome mixer.

This is the third mixer that I’ve bought from Amazon. The first, a Bodum stand mixer, worked great until it broke a few months later. The second, a two beater Sunbeam Heritage model has survived, but as much as I wanted to like it, I found that it just didn’t mix well and required me to move the bowl manually and otherwise fiddle with it constantly.

When I found myself reverting to using an ancient hand mixer, I knew it was time to replace the Sunbeam. Today, I spent the day putting the Hamilton Beach through its paces. First, I made a batch of fairly stiff bread dough, containing 5 cups of flour.

This definitely was the upper limit of the mixers capacity, both in terms of volume and power. The motor overheated just as the dough was finished and I thought I had broken it as it stopped mixing. In the time it took me to wash up the dishes, the mixer recovered, however.

I next made a half batch of reverse-creamed cup cakes. The mixer performed well and didn’t require a lot of bowl scraping in spite of the small amount of batter. The same was true for the half batch of ermine frosting that I made in it.

The last thing I made was a small batch (2 1/4 cups flour) of yeast rolls. I used the dough hook only rather than using the flat beater first, and the dough came together quickly with no problems. Bottom line: so far, so good.

I’m not sure how long this mixer will last, but for the low price and the $8 four- year product protection that I bought for it, I’m not too worried. I wish it had a slightly larger capacity, but again, it was inexpensive.

By the way, I have used a friend’s Kitchen Aid on a number of occasions and I would say that, at this price point, the Hamilton Beach compares pretty favorably to it.

This was my mistake for the year! May look like the expensive brand but lacks in performance. Eg. When mixing sugar and butter it pushes the the mixture up the sides where it stays. Throughout a recipe I have to stop, raise the mixer and hand blend what is on the sides back into the beater range.

Extremely annoying. The piece of plastic on the outside bottom of the bowl stays attached to the bowl making cleaning an extra step. This is the plastic connection that keeps the bowl attached to the base.

Every time the mixer is started it has a surge of energy and then backs up to the speed dialed. I’m so disappointed that I’m looking for an antique sunbeam that my mom used to use! I did not use this when I got it, so I think I am too late to return it now.

First off I want to make it clear that I never give reviews but I felt it was necessary in this case. That being said- at first this mixer was great and worked very well but slowly it started to fall apart.

I am a person that takes very good care of everything and after every use I would clean the mixer and make sure it was like new but even that didn’t help the situation. First, the on/off switch would not work so I had to unlplug it every time I wanted to turn it off to check the ingredients being mixed.

Secondly, once I got to a certain speed the attachment tools would come off and go into the bowl. Thirdly, the button that is pushed to lift up the head of the mixer one day just popped out and with it came an inner spring and that was it- completely FELL APART! I was so disappointed because even though it is not an expensive mixer I still had higher hopes.

I still have it on my counter and have not used it for a while, now I don’t know what to do. I’ll have to purchase another mixer eventually because I really enjoy baking. Please again read this before purchasing because it is a true and honest review.

The fact the cord is retractable, the mixer can sit beside the bowl being used, the ease of operating and the storage for the accessories is available makes it an ideal item for me. I have had another brand for over 50 years; my daughter-in-law still has hers.

It was time for me to make a change because of the cord and the ease of operation. I have to get used to the weight of the hand mixer as I was accustomed to a much smaller type but I am very happy with the Kenmore and eager to try the attachments for the smoothies and bread.

I like the retractable electrical cord. The speed appears to be pretty good so far, but the lowest speed seems a bit fast because it tends to splash. So use a larger bowl to help with splashing. I can’t say yet how durable this mixer is because I haven’t made a large batch of cookies yet.

I rated 4 stars because the highest speed didn’t seem much faster than the lowest speed.

What can I say about this brand, its one of my favorites of all time. Just about all the items I have of this brand last a long long time. This is no exception. It never over heats or is noisy. Settings are easy to follow.

Great affordable hand mixer. I purchased it at Macy’s on sale for $21. Cons: 1. ITS HEAVY – your arms will be sore from holding this up. 2. The beater attachments WILL RUST if you leave them in water.

It’s better to wash them right away, dry, then store. Asides from those, it’s a powerful beater and has lasted me about 2 years (still going strong) with continuous use.

Pros: this mixer works well as an everyday kitchen tool. It wasn’t intended to be anything fancy, but I have no complaints about its performance. It gets the job done. It’s not too heavy, easy to hold and work with, the speeds and power is what I expected.

Cons: I thought I would really like the attached compartment that holds the beaters and the cord, but that is the one thing about this mixer that I DON’T like! Your beaters fit inside and you just snap the mixer on top.

Great concept until you try to remove the mixer. I tugged and pulled and twisted and finally had to get a butter knife to pry the mixer loose. To save future frustration, I just put everything inside and lightly sit the mixer on top.

I would not recommend this to friends.

When my hand mixer broke during a move, I needed one quick! So I bought the cheapest one I could find — I got the Hamilton Beach 6-speed with the snap on case. It actually works quite well; better than I expected.

However, there’s really only two, maybe three, speeds to this thing. It’s medium, fast, and really fast. It’s kind of obnoxious for when I need to mix something on a slower level. All in all, I haven’t bought another one to replace it.

I’ve just gotten over it.

I disappointed in this item. When received it was difficult to insert the beaters. Upon my first use I was unable to insert the collarless beater and make it stay in. I was able to use it despite this beater being loose.

I do not like the bright light that shines in your eyes. The eject button was difficult to press in. I am keeping it because I discarded the packing materials and receipt upon finding that it could turn on.

Also, I am very concerned about the California warning about cancer and do not understand the reason for this warning and do not know if it was safe to discount it. (The food processor also had a similar warning.

) Finally, I am disappointed in the ongoing QVC policy of not including a return slip with the purchases, although as I recall this item did have a return slip which I discarded upon finding that it could turn on.

I am disappointed ultimately that this item is not USA made and attribute this problem of the loose beater to the fact of a factory change and lack of quality control. I trusted this long standing brand with quality and am so sorry to find both QVC and Kitchen Aid lacking in this instance.

I was glad that I chose the Empire Red instead of Candy Apple Red! It came with a storing bag for accessories, it’s very thoughtful! However, 2 things which I don’t like are as follows: 1. I’m right handed, while I’m using it and when I need to turn the speed up or down, it was NOT convenient for me to do that at all.

I have to use my left hand to hold the body of the machine and turn it. Then, at that time my egg or flour were flying everywhere. 2. The speed is NOT as strong as I expected, even I turned to #9. When I need to whip the Heavy Cream to stiff peak, it won’t give me that.

Same thing with the Egg Whites. Meanwhile, I watched many people who make cake using their Hand Mixer from different Brands (not KitchenAid in any model), they are so strong and powerful! I envy to have something powerful as those people have.

This is a brand new hand mixer, so I am not sure why some of the reviews are about older mixers! That said, I have never owned a Kitchenaid mixer that I didn’t like. This is my first 9 speed hand mixer, and I am not sure what I have been waiting for! It is awesome.

Of course, I watched two presentations, and I was amazed at the features on this model. I normally read all the instructions before I begin, but the instructions on the presentations were so thorough I didn’t need to.

I also took Jayne Brown’s advice and put it in an easy reach cabinet instead of in the pantry. I actually whisked my eggs for scrambling one morning, instead of using a fork. Yesterday I made a pretty complicated apple cake, it was a breeze.

Didn’t need to use a spatula to get sides or bottoms! Lots of alternating flour and milk in the batter, which I finally did get a little tired. But it is not really heavy. Turning it on and adjusting the speed are super easy.

I do like the flex beaters, because I sometimes use plastic bowls.

The mixer is compact and lightweight so it’s definitely got that going for it. However, it is a bit too compact for a lot of my bowls. I found that the mixer blades are a little short for some of the deeper bowls that I use.

The biggest issue I have with this particular mixer is the mixing blades themselves. This product would have gotten an extra star if the blades were coated, maybe silicone? The blades are more sharp than I would like.

The edges aren’t as smooth as others I have used. I would not be comfortable using them in more sensitive cookware.

This is a good hand mixer for someone that either doesn’t bake a ton, or doesn’t have a big budget (i. e. , a college student). It’s loud and doesn’t feel all that sturdy, so I’m not sure how long it would last in the long run.

The design could be better in terms of how to release the beaters. Overall, it’s just alright. Personally, I would spend more money to get something better, but this is good for a starter or as a spare.

I had delayed getting a hand mixer because I already invested in an expensive stand mixer. After using this Braun MultiMix Hand Mixer, I regret not getting a hand mixer sooner. To be honest, lugging out that stand mixer is a real pain since its heavy and takes quite a bit of space on the counter.

Then cleaning it is a whole other story. Braun has made my life so much easier with this product. This hand mixer is surprisingly powerful, and in fact, for many tasks it substitutes quite nicely for my stand mixer.

This hand mixer nails the basics and also has a couple of unique features. The basics: It is easy to assemble, it mixes well, and it is good-looking. At some level, that’s all you need out of a hand mixer.

One note: the switch for releasing the mixing beaters is in the same place as the start trigger for my old hand mixer. So the first time I tried mixing, I sprayed the beaters all over the floor. No harm, no fol, and a quick wash later they were back in business.

The unique The coolest feature it has is that, instead of button that changes to pre-set speeds, it has a dial. This means you can speed up more easily than by pressing a button over and over, and it also gives you more pinpoint control over the speed than the pre-sets.

Sort of like a light which has a dimmer, instead of a switch that has only four brightness settings. The other unique feature, at least to me, are the whisk attachment you can use instead of beaters.

I have never whisked with a hand mixer before, but I am looking forward to see how it does. All in all, a good kitchen tool, with some unique features that are pretty appealing.

I know but I have to tell you anyway. I had an old harvest gold (yeah harvest gold. I’m a senior baker) Sunbeam mixer that finally said goodbye. Bought another Sunbeam because of the power and it only lasted a couple years.

They just don’t make things like they use to any more. Until now (I hope). I have had this mixer now for almost six months. So glad I did not buy a KitchenAid hand mixer. Their wattage is no comparison to this one.

Now I do own a KitchenAid Pro stand mixer and love it. But this little baby right here plowed right through my oatmeal raisin cookie batter like nothing to it, many, many times. I even made several pound cakes using this mixer (not that mix junk but real flour eggs butter etc.

) carrot cakes etc. When I got ready to add the flour. NO FLY AWAY!! It has a true SLOW speed that I had been looking for. The flour actually stays in the bowl. OMG I love this mixer!!! Kneads my homemade yeast roll dough without a problem.

The legs, arms, stems whatever you want to call them are long so no batter runs up into the motor area. And the 350 watts. need I say more? I was a little reluctant but after 30 days I knew I had found what I was looking for and glad I found this Braun.

My only comp!ain’t. I don’t care for the storage bag. I would rather have a stainless steel bowl (like my old mixer) to store everything in. So, after washing, I just repackage it in the box like it came.

Anyone looking for your dry ingredients to remain in the bowl but still have power to quickly beat egg whites or whip potatoes? I think you will be pleased. I know I am.

This is the 3rd Helix I have owned in the last 10 years. I buy them when they are on sale and keep them on hand or give as gifts. They are by far my favorite hand held mixer. The speed is perfect for all your mixing needs, the attachments are great quality.

Clean up is always easy and I love the ease of storage. I absolutely love the attachments are made of heavy duty plastic so no metal ever gets into my food when mixing. I can not express enough how well made this product is.

As long as they continue to make this brand, I will continue to buy it and use and give as gifts. I always recommend it to family and friends who may be in the market for new mixing utensils. This is a must have in all homes.

This is a wonderful little mixer. I needed a new one after my old one bit the dust so decided on this one. I especially like the silicone beaters – they don’t scratch up my stainless steel mixing bowls or make the same godawful noise as the metal beaters do.

It mixes very well and has plenty of speed selections and horsepower to get it done. I also appreciate the black and chrome look that matched well with my other small appliances. I would have given it 5 stars if it was a bit easier to get into the storage “bin.

When I saw the beaters that came with it, I thought “they appear very cheap”. HOWEVER. I only wanted a mixer for cake batters, and maybe cookies or whipping cream. I was amazed at. how light it was,, not heavy at all! It will sit right next to your mixing bowl and not fall over! It was a delight to be able to mix my cake mix! SUPER easy to use and I love the storage of the beaters so they do not get lost! IF you need a more sturdy beater you can always order it.

(Info on the manual included). It comes with 1 whisk attachment and I have not used that, I imagine that would work for whipping cream. The only issue was that in the manual, it does not say what the marking on the bottom is for.

I assume that the single picture side on the bottom by the beater holes is for the whisk attachment. It’s a great blender for basic things.

I have been using the Hamilton Beach – 6 Speed hand mixer for about a month, and so far I have been impressed. This is quite powerful, as I used to prepare the mix for cakes. The burst mood is a really useful feature.

Besides for some application when you want to to be slow, you can choose the lowest speed which is also something very important for me. The setup comes with a box on its back that perfectly fits the blades.

I strongly recommend reading the instructions carefully before the first time you use it to avoid any confusion.

Before going to the store to return a Hamilton Beach bought on the spur of the moment and which blew flour and batter all over the kitchen, I read the reviews of other hand mixers available and exchanged the HB for this B+D MX400B.

I absolutely LOVE it! Perfect size, and comes with the snap-on case for beater & mixer storage. Also has a 2-yr limited manuf. warranty. The beaters are more slender and longer than other hand mixers and I’ve unexpectedly found that to be a “plus”.

They mix equally as well as the larger ones, but also mean less scraping of the bowl as you go because the slender curves really get into the curve of outer edges of the inside bottom of any size bowl.

Not only that, the length of the beaters and the fact that they don’t sling batter everywhere means you can essentially scrape the sides of the bowl down with the sides of the beaters as you go as well.

Great! This model comes with beaters, 2 dough hooks (which I haven’t had occasion to try as I haven’t done a heavy or bread dough), and a whisk which I also have not yet used. I’m loving the beaters! Be sure to look at the speed descriptions in the enclosed guide.

The mixer speeds are “description accurate” — low (#1) speed is perfect for dry ingredients and folds them in rather than blowing them everywhere and dusting your kitchen! Beware, though, of having a loose recipe or a bowl of any dry ingredients on your counter as you use higher speeds.

the exhaust from the rear of the mixer is “turbo charge” and WILL blow these things everywhere. Just be aware of what’s on your counter behind the mixer as you’re using it. I’m really enjoying this MX400B, especially for the $20 price.

If it lasts the first 2 years, I’ll have MUCH more than got my money’s worth!.

This is your basic hand mixer. Gets the job done. Very affordable. Not expensive at all. Great for cake mixes. Or other batters. It doesn’t have dough hook attachments or anything. So, can’t really do any heavy duty douchs or anything.

But gets the basic jobs done.

Mixer works good for making cakes. Brownies. Cookies. Love the different speeds. Clean up is quick. Sucks when u have to mix something for long time cause arms can get tired but thats ok. Very affordable when i cant buy a larger mixer with a bowl.

This mixer was at first just amazing. It was fast and efficient. I absolutely loved it. However, about a year later, the mixer broke. It made strange sounds and would not work. I was very disappointed.

Had the mixer not have broken, it would have been a perfect product.

This is a great hand mixer for any of your baking needs. It has 6 speed settings and also comes with a whisk. Everything that it comes with plus the cord fit nicely in the snap-on case for easy and neat storage.

I received the Hamilton Beach 6 Speed Hand Mixer with Case, and was able to try it out this weekend. I was able to try all of the attachments, by whipping heavy cream and egg whites, mixing cookie dough and cake batter, and mixing a glass of chocolate milk.

First, the unit itself is light enough to handle with one hand while still feeling sturdy. The speed control button is easy to maneuver while in use, and the power burst button comes in handy for when you need that last extra “burst of speed” to complete whipping cream.

The dough hooks, beaters, whisk and milk shake attachments are all solidly made, and attach to the mixer firmly – nothing shakes loose when in use. Having 6 speeds plus the power burst makes fast work of blending ingredients.

Cleaning the attachments and the blender was easy. The addition of the snap on case for all the attachments is a great convenience – everything is in one place, and it doesn’t take up much space. Overall, I would say that this mixer would be great to use if you have small or large baking jobs, or just need to quickly mix or whip ingredients.

I would recommend this product for use in any kitchen.

The reviews indicated this mixer to be a pretty good product, so I ordered it as a gift for a family member. she was using her new mixer to prepare Christmas dinner and in the middle of mashing the potatoes it just stopped working.

no warning, no warning sounds, no obvious reason for it to stop working. Fortunately the potatoes were half beaten and were able to be served as half mashed potatoes. I don’t know if I just got a defective mixer or if this is indicative of a brand that produces poorly made products.

either way I’ll not be purchasing this brand in the future.

I purchased this hand mixer for my fifteen year old grandson to use instead of my stand mixer, because he is a little rough on small appliances. This was a great buy and it is easy to use and small enough to store in a drawer when not in use.

I personally like the looks of it and it seems to be a good quality little hand mixer. No complaints.

I have gotten a lot of use out of this light weight hand mixer. It is easy to use and easy to wash the beaters. I use it for lighter batters saving the heavier mixtures for my stand mixer.

I had the Hamilton Beach hand mixer model number 62682RZ before. I had it for several years before it recently burnt out. I also have an old school avocado colored Hamilton Beach Mixette from the 60s/70s.

My vintage HB has a better “slow speed” than this one. The slow on this one is comparable to my 62682RZ, it’s not slow by any means. I used the dough hooks today for sugar cookie dough from scratch and I was quite pleased.

The beaters from my old mixer are thicker, and fit this one as well. I have no experience with a full KitchenAide counter top mixer, but I would say this is a good one to have on hand. It does make a mess if your bowl is too shallow, FYI.

At 220 watts, this mixer has IMPRESSIVE torque, and kneads all but the heaviest bread dough without bogging down. The housing stays cool even during extended use. Noise level is comparable to other hand mixers.

The “quick burst” button jumps the rpms by about 2 speeds, and the attachments eject smoothly with an easy press of the speed selector when the mixer is off. The mixer body is brushed silver and black—not exciting, but tasteful, especially for an appliance that will be stored rather than displayed.

It feels solid and well-built, nice fits and finishes, no rattles; and balances nicely in my hand. It comes with a black polypropylene (#5) case, a brief and clearly written user booklet, 1 small balloon whisk, 2 wire beaters, and 2 dough hooks.

The attachments feel sturdy and and are well-finished. The beaters are interchangeable, that is, each can be inserted in either of the 2 sockets. The dough hooks are socket-specific; the instruction manual and indicators on the mixer housing show which hook goes where.

A strain reliever protects the cord where it exits the mixer body. The housing has a molded-in bowl rest, and the flat base is designed so the mixer can sit upright on the countertop, with or without beaters.

The case is completely unsexy, but sturdy and utilitarian, opens and closes easily enough, and can be cleaned if it gets a goopy when the kids put the mixer away without a good wipe-down. I suspect the case is dishwasher safe, at least on the top shelf, but neither the booklet or case says so explicitly (unless I missed it!).

I found that it takes a little fiddling to fold up and arrange the cord so the case closes and the closure clicks securely. Instead of a case, some people might prefer a countertop stand or wall-mounted bracket that holds the mixer and attachments, but the case makes storage easy if your kitchen, like mine, is short on counter and wall space.

A big improvement over my old hand mixer; I’m going to enjoy using this!.

Worst Mixer I’ve Ever Used! This mixer has 5 speeds and they are all HIGH. There is no low or slow. It’s crap! If you put it on the lowest setting (1) your cake batter is everywhere unless you use a very deep bowl.

I had a 40 year old black and decker mixer and it was so much better than this garbage. Very disappointed. Don’t wast you money on this mixer. I would have sent it back, but I didn’t use it right away after purchase, and when I finally did use it for the first time, it was too late to return it.

I’ll donate it and buy another brand. And I’ll be sure to test immediately.

Ok, this is going to be pretty niche here to start with! But I am a natural henna artist, and I mix my henna paste at home from organic materials before events. I used to hand mix with a spoon and a bowl and it would often take hours to get it perfectly smooth.

I’d end up with a tendinitis flare up, as well as a sore wrist and elbow. My husband talked me into getting this hand mixer and WOW! What took hours to mix by hand to a smooth paste now takes me less than five minutes! Talk about a game changer! It also works well for mixing things like mousse, and basic baking batters.

So far the mixer is working as expected and I like it. However, from the picture, I was under the impression that there was a separate button to release the beaters. I had to replace my previous hand mixer because the same button that determines the speed also served as the release button for the beaters.

I couldn’t get the button to release the beaters and there’s no way to open the mixer to fix the problem. So I was specifically looking for a mixer that had a separate button for releasing the beaters.

I thought this one did; it does not. The release function on this mixer is currently working correctly — but then so did the last mixer’s release function. I wish the information about the mixer had been clearer about the release function.

However, I like the mixer, and the release function is working well for now.

This is a great alternative to the kitchen aide mixer. I had a kitchen aide for about 4 years and only used it around christmas to make cookies. I endes up giving it to a friend who woukd use it much more than i would.

I stumvled on the Dash one on black friday snd was drawn to the mint green color. So for $40 i figured why not try it. On my 1st batch of cookies it took me a little bit of a learning curve on how to get it to mix it’s to mix everything in the bowl because the bowl doesn’t move automatically and you have to shift it back-and-forth with a lever.

It will start to turn once it picks up some momentum. Once I got the hang of it then I absolutely loved it and I almost think I liked it better than the kitchen aid. It’s obviously a lot smaller it’s got about half maybe a 3rd of the capacity of a kitchen aid But if you’re just using it on occasion on occasion it’s definitely the perfect addition to the kitchen.

It’s also really lightweight and small enough to store in a cabinet with no trouble.

I’ve always wanted a stand mixer but never had the room. After buying a house, I finally had a kitchen I could set up in. I got this on sale on Amazon for about $40. It’s a decent starter mixer. You can adjust the position of the bowl side to side which makes it easier to get the ingredients that are stuck to the side of the bowl.

However, it would be nice if you could get a paddle mixer or even other replacement attachments, as with some recipes you have to stop and scrape down the sides a lot since the beaters do not reach all surfaces of the bowl easily.

Still, it’s very useful for the price.

The bowl does go around and the beaters spin. Really wish the description had included the fact you can’t run it for more than 3 minutes. It’s a stand mixer, it’s supposed to continue working while you add more ingredients.

Of course the packaging went to recycling before I actually used it. So it’s mine until I have a yard sale. I have several other Dash items that work fine so I didn’t expect any issues. Very disappointed in this product.
