20 Best Hair Wand For Thick Hair (2023 Updated)

I’m sure the curling iron is fine, however, after using it my pixie cut that is longer on top, my hair wasn’t curly. It was knappy, kinky.how can I change this. What was my mistake. Please respond.

This is an AWESOME Curling Wand. It’s taking a little getting used to the VERY LONG barrel and the results are worth it. Nice smooth Ceramic Tourmaline contributes to the overall smooth affect of styling.

Works great! Have used it multiple times and have zero complaints. For those leaving low ratings due to it not having a clamp, this clearly states that it is a wand. Wands do not have clamps. It is not a curling iron.

For those looking for a wand, this one works perfectly and is priced right. I have medium to long hair and it’s not super thick. This makes amazing curls and waves depending on how much hair you put on the wand at a time, how long you leave it on, and how long you catch and hold the curl in the palm of your hand after taking it off the wand.

I’ve found the catching and holding the curl until it cools trick is the key to long lasting curls/waves. There are some great videos to watch if you are just learning how to use a wand.

I’ve been looking to achieve Hollywood , voluminous, big curls/ waves with little effort. I bought hot rollers, but those did not last by the time I was ready to leave my house. Once I saw that this wand was in stock at my nearest ulta, I immediately grabbed so I can see if this would be better.

I never write reviews, but I really enjoyed using this tool, My only con is if you’re clumsy (like me) you’re probably gonna burn your neck and explain to your boyfriend that it’s a burn and not something else! 🥲 Overall, great tool; easy to use, adjustable heat setting, and EXTREMELY fast heat up process.

My 13 y. o. niece asked for a curling iron for her birthday. My SIL (her mom) asked to please not get anything “too expensive. ” The price was perfect on this one. My niece was was so excited about this gift and promptly asked for a tutorial.

Showed her how to use it on my own hair first. Let me just say, Wow! Perfect curl. I actually liked it so much better than my current old curling iron that I went out and bought another one for myself! Some extra detail: My hair is fine in texture but I have a lot of hair.

It’s naturally slightly wavy. It’s dyed and I also have highlights. I’m 40 y. o. My niece has medium thick hair that’s naturally very wavy and has never been color-treated. We both had fantastic results with this curling iron.

She loves it too.

These curlers are amazing!!! The best barrel to use I found were the smallest 9-19mm. They curled my 22” hair extensions and gave my hair more volume!!! I put the temperature to 190 degrees however it’s easily changeable, so it can be altered to different hair types! The different types of barrels can change the hair style from really curler (smallest barrel I used) to wavy and with a little bit of curl.

100% recommend these curlers! Better than my curlers I paid £100 for. Plus the curls stay in the hair until the next day! So tight and bouncy!.

I was not sure when i purchase it tbh, but once i tried it i love it, it has 6 interchangeable barrels which in my opinion is too much, some of them are very similar but for the price i think is great choice!!! It didn’t burn my hair and also has temperature control and heats up very quickly.

It comes with a glove and 2 hair clips to prevent you get burn and make the curling easy.

I love how it looks and the fact that it is three curling irons in one. But you can read everyone else’s rave reviews I want to tell you what I am not a big fan of about the curling iron. 1. Obviously the price is a bit high.

I was lucky to get mine during a 20% off sale and used my Ulta Rewards Points so with all of that I was able to get it under $100 so in the end feeling pretty good about that. 2. Changing the temperature is not as obvious as other styling tools I have used.

I actually had to look at the directions. I admit more than once. 3. I think the thing I surprisingly find most annoying (would have been price if I didn’t get such a great deal) is the carrying case it came with.

I initially was really glad they provided one and liked when I heard it had pockets inside to help hold your attachments and base while not in use. That was short lived when I actually went to put the attachments and base into the bag for storage.

Now this may not be an issue for the Whirl Trio (wand set) but the Twirl Trio (clip style set) the bag is about 2 inches to short so the clip handles poke out the top. I understand the tote is only $3 on their website but if they are making a bag intended to be used to hold the Trio styling tools you would think they would make sure it worked for all of the over $300 sets.

I received this as a gift from my sister. She bought it from T3 directly. I tried to exchange it with a different product of theirs, since I already own a T3 twirl, however they wouldn’t do anything without a receipt, said they couldn’t look her up in their system, and my sister has 3 little kids so getting a receipt from her was more impossible than having tea with the queen of England.

I finally got an email from my sister with her confirmation order, but then they said a month went by and it was too much time that passed, despite it being new and in the box. So although I LOVE T3 products and own many, their CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE! I love their curling irons, but I preferred to exchange my present with the wands trio since the wands hold better curls for me.

My sister meant to buy me wands but bought the trio instead, and the 2 smaller curling irons are too small for me and I would never use. I prefer larger barrels for beach waves instead of curly hair.

This wand trio is everything you need. Not only is it beautiful, stylish and a space saver, but it’s functionality exceeds beyond my expectations. I have used 2 of the barrels and they have worked marvelously.

The 1 inch barrel (the photos with the yellow dress and the hat) gives small, tight curls that lasts 2 days. I brushed my curls to give me that vintage wave. The 1. 5 inch barrel is for longer hair and gives you a less defined wave yet very subtle (picture in the green dress).

The curls hold 2 days using hairspray. Some retouching is necessary on the next day as some may come undone. Swapping the barrels out is very easy, the wand gets hot fast and you can choose the heat necessary for your hair.

Another great feature is that once it turns back on it remembers the last setting you used.

The length of the barrels is perfect if you have long hair. I like how this set comes with a little attachment so the wand won’t directly touch your counter. The color is beautiful, and the size of the wands is also very good.

I use the bigger wand for sexy big waves, middle length for a more curled look or tighter waves, and the skinny wand is perfect for a big natural curly hair look. I don’t think enough people use the skinniest barrel when they buy these sets – if you are looking to purchase this set, please give it a go! It looks SO gorgeous once you curl your whole head and tousle it around.

The quality of the wands is also very good – I have had my old Bombay 5-in-1 set for 5 years now and I still use it and it works perfect. I like that the set is double voltage so I can take it on my international travels.

I absolutely loved the different sizes for the curler and it came in a nice box with a glove. I have thick hair and this was really nice on my hair and looks and feels fabulous. I would Highly recommend.

My original package was unfortunately stolen amongst other packages we ordered. This curling iron was something my sister really wanted for Christmas and I was upset someone opened the box, took the curling iron and left the empty box.

After contacting Bombay Hair, they immediately sent me a new one, ensured a signature was required and followed up to make sure I got it. Great customer service and my sister is thrilled to be able to use this awesome product.

I just wanna say that I ordered this as an early Mother’s Day gift for myself and I was really excited. It arrived and I went to turn it on and it would not turn on. I emailed the company many many times.

I did receive ONE email back saying to send a video and pictures of the problem. So I did. NEVER got a response. I feel dumb because I wanted this so badly so I went ahead and ordered another one (hopefully that will work) and emailed the company many times saying I would just like a refund for the first one I bought but still NEVER got a response.

I really wish this worked on my hair but it didn’t. I even had someone do it for me incase it was the way i was doing it but nope nothing. It looked like straggly hair. I was hoping this worked I was excited to get this in the mail but just my luck.

Love the concept of the design it’s a nice product just didn’t work for me. Don’t let my review scare you try it for yourself. My hair is extremely thin ,fine and long. If they came out with a wand I’d give it a try and i have always had great customer service.

I’d tell anyone to give it a try just because it didn’t work on me doesn’t mean it would do the same to you.

I keep seeing this waver wand pop up on my IG. so I thought I’d give it a try! I’ve never used a 3-barrel wand before so it was a bit tricky to get used to. The common complaint I see from other reviews is how easy it was to press the power button while in use.

I 100% agree that my fingers slip all the time and hit the buttons. But thankfully, there’s a lock function so it didn’t affect me at all. I do love how my hair turned out! Very mermaid like hair and you can make even looser waves with thicker sections.

I think it’s very worth the price but I don’t have anything else to compare to so take my opinion with a grain of salt. One suggestion I’ve seen for using wands like these is to flip the barrel for alternating strands.

So one strand will have the barrels on top, the next will have the clip side up. It makes for more of a natural tousled look than perfect waves that may blend in with each other. Also shipping was so fast! Very happy with my purchase so far.

Really enjoying this product! I’ve never used a wand before, only a curling iron. This works great and is easy to use. The curls hold but only really hold with some spray. Usually, I brush my fingers through my hair, after curling, to create a nice beachy look.

Would buy again, but I think this is more for an everyday look as opposed to something I’d use for a special occasion.

This outperforms many of the premium priced tools. Very easy to use, and the heat is adjustable. If your hair needs touch ups after curling you can use it at 305 and it works. This is not going to damage hair if used with heat protection.

If you want super tight curls then this is not the wand for you. However, it is still a wand I would recommend to buy because it creates beautiful curls. Makes you look like a true baddie! Plus, the color is super cute and the glove that comes with it is helpful.

I have had this curler/straightener for years. It was a really low price at costco years ago. It has interchangeable heads so it is a straightener and a curler. I love that the straightener head has a heating element on the side of it which makes curling with the straightener head so easy.

I never use the curling head because I always just stick with the straightener head. It works great still and I love that it has adjustable heat settings too.

I have had this one for many years and it still works amazing. You can make very tight curls or loose beach waves. They also last many days. I assume even 4,5 or more. I’m not sure since I wash my hair more often than that.

This is a tried and true product. The only reason I don’t give it 5 stars is because the hair always slides and it’s hard to get the varied size curl you’re supposed to get. Overall I love this wand and it can be used with many techniques to make many types of curls!.

I have trouble using an actual curler so I decided to try this wand. It is so easy to use and came with a glove. I like the beachy wave look and this wand achieved that! It was so easy to use and I got the perfect curls.

I already have natural curly hair so this is what it looked like after I blow dryed it. I straightened the top of my head and used the wand for the bottom. 10/10 product.

Chi makes my favorite curling irons. I do notice that the iron has discolored over the years with heat and products along the barrel. Additionally, the red from the heating pad has rubbed off on the barrel as well.

Prefacing to state my hair is naturally straight. Since I was young no curling iron has managed to keep a curl in my hair. My mother used her curling irons by various brand that had the clip (Revlon, etc), she used the Conair Infinitipro Curl Secret (one that sucks your hair into it) & as she was going through my hair the curl was coming out.

I’ve used my own Curlipop wand by Tigi, & a small brand of soft curlers that you sleep in called Cozy Curlers. Everything formed a curl, but an hour or two later, it was gone or looked horrible. Then I look in the hair section at my local Walgreens & this was on sale from $30 to $20.

I took a few minutes to Google reviews & decided to take a chance on it. And I’m so glad I did. I’ve only used it a couple times so far, but the curls look amazing & stay all day! You can either have tight ringlet-styled curls, or brush it out a bit to get beach waves.

I will say the barrel takes a bit to get used to & the first time of using it your hair will slide from the end to the tip, but you just have to keep practicing. I’m somebody who loses patience easily, but I got the hang of it & it’s really easy for me to do now.

I bought this because I cut my hair short a few months back. It’s still growing and I usually curl my hair with my straightener. But it’s really hard to do with short hair. I have a expensive straighter so I didn’t want to go crazy on a curling iron.

This is seriously amazing. It’s very light easy to use has different heat settings. My hair came out in this beautiful wave like curl I definitely would have never gotten that with my straightener. I just wanna say be careful I did burn my finger slightly.

The glove that it comes with didn’t fit my small hand or fingers lol so there’s that but everything else was amazing. love it.

the other reviews are not lying I have had this curling wand since high school in 2010 and the only reason I’m replacing it finally is because the colorful material at the base is starting to flake off.

This curling wand has never failed me, I’m pretty sure this is what I used for my prom, my wedding and everything in between. it’s a smaller barrel and that’s why I like it. It’s perfect for when I want to curl my hair and also perfect for fixing any stray pieces when I wear my curly hair natural.

As long as they are selling this curling iron ($15?? are you kidding??) I will be buying it whenever it needs replaced. I cannot stress this enough I spent $15 on it and I’m still using it 11 years later and it works just as good as when I got it.

The title says it all folks. Arrived quick, quality is amazing, the stick is ultra slim for those really tight curls you want. The only thing is that there’s no heating controller, so it’s either 0 or a 100%, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

Absolute waste of money. Stated can use on short hair, my hair is neither short or long. Used once, burnt my fingers & head, doesnt do as stated. Dont waste your money everyone

Highly recommend this. Its easy to use, heats up quickly and the curls look great. The tapered end means you can create tighter or looser curls depending on how much hair you curl at a time, and they look more natural.

I only use this for my shoulder length hair at the ends to create large curls. I love it! Does not hurt my hair and makes me looks a million dollars! I do sometimes use the heat protector. Even when I don’t the curler does not singe my hair.
