20 Best Hair Styler For Thin Hair (2022 Updated)

When this thing first came out I scoffed at “needing” such a pricey item to dry and style hair ( but of course thought it looked pretty cool, grabbing the hair and placing it around the curling barrel etc).

but after years of hype and then the new, re-engineered version being released, mixed with recent frustration from frying my hair with my Revlon One Step Volumizer brush, I caved. It’s so hyped up lately that it was sold out everywhere when I finally had decided I wanted to go for it, so I kept checking store websites and recently found it in stock online at Best Buy.

So excited to get it, and it is as sleek and high quality as you would expect from Dyson, as far as the design and functionality of the equipment goes. I really like the dryer part, it works fast, and I love making a voluminous blowout with the round brush attachment and one of the other brush attachments ( I can’t remember what the name.

or type of brushes tney are, I need to spend more time looking at manual, because the 2 plastic brush heads look the same to me, besides one having copper brush tips, and I think one of those is for smoothing/ straightening, and one is for more of a lift/ volume).

I also really like the curling barrels! I have NEVER been good at curling my hair myself for some reason and this thing just makes it sooo easy! Just pick up a section of hair with one hand and hold the barrel with the machine turned off in the other hand , placing barrel next to the hair.

When you then turn the machine on the air suction just pulls your hair and gently wraps it around the barrel in a perfect curl with no effort from you other than just holding the Dyson. Or I’ve also liked results with wrapping strands around to make an S curl or waves.

I really like the results. I’m just not completely happy with this yet because so far I haven’t figured out how to make my curls last for a long time! I need to watch YouTube or something and see if there’s a trick to it I’m missing.

Hopefully I can update this review to a 5 star soon, especially with the chunk of money it cost. Other than the curls not holding well,. I’m loving this, my hair dries quickly, it’s feels like I’M getting less heat in general, which is always a good thing when you’re trying to avoid sweating while you’ get ready during a hot Texas summer , and my hair is feeling and looking better, definitely much better than the Revelon brush ( but at 10 times the price).

I bought the 2022 updated AirWrap Complete with the shorter barrels (directly from Dyson). I have a medium length bob/A-line hairstyle, and I typically do not curl my hair; I use a large round brush and dryer for blowouts.

Above all, I value shine, health and bounce/movement in my hair and style. I was very excited about this product based upon the description and reviews (hoping for time saving and less heat on my hair and on me in general), but I was pretty disappointed.

The smoothing brushes and the “volumizing” brush (with a barrel that was not as large as I would like and had bristles that did not seem to want to flow smoothly through the hair) left my hair flat (no movement whatsoever), without any “body” let alone shine or gloss, and surprisingly actually feeling dry.

My hair never feels like dry to the touch (almost with a crispy feel – yikes – and to be clear I did not change cleansing/conditioning products, etc. , I used the same heat protectant styling products I always use, and I varied the heat setting between medium and high, and made sure to keep moving.

I’m 52. I’ve been doing this a while, but even at that it was not a great end result, and I watched all the Dyson tutorials, and MANY others on the web). The dryer portion of the tool was fine, but certainly not amazing or better than my normal dryer (Sam Villa) (I didn’t buy this for the dryer anyway).

Finally, although I don’t normally curl my hair, I experimented with the curling barrels. These were pretty great in terms of ease of curling and they produced bouncy fun curls, but, sadly they fell flat in less than 30 minutes – maybe that is my hair in terms of not holding curl, etc.

Not sure. Bottom line: If curling your hair is your thing and your hair tends to hold a curl, this product will be good for you. In my opinion, however, if all you want is a style normally achieved with a blowout with a round brush, this is way too much product, way too much money and takes up WAY too much bathroom space for that.

I was longing for my trusty Sam Villa dryer after 3 weeks.

I have thick, dry, curly hair that is a pain to style. Blow drying has always been my least favorite step of my hair care routine and I usually end up smoothing my hair out with a flat iron because I am awful at doing blowouts at home.

I got my hair done in October, and really wanted to have the same silkiness and bounce my stylist gave me but for the life of me could never get my hair that sleek (I suck at doing my own hair, really).

I am so glad I decided to buy this thing because I went from looking like a total MESS to like I have a personal stylist. No more pringle chip ends going three different ways! No more wavy roots and smooth center hairs! My hair dried in minutes and it was like a revelation: shiny, smooth, bouncy! Not dry, dull, heavy, and lifeless like before.

Fair warning, this baby gets H O T. Hot enough that it did sting my ears occasionally and sometimes if you get too close to your face it is uncomfortable. My advice if you invest in this – get you a really good heat protectant as well, like the best you can afford, because I have heard about these dryer brushes damaging people’s hair if you are not careful and did notice a little bit of smoking and some dryness in places, but not as bad as I am used to.

Also, detangle with a paddle brush before drying because I occasionally got it caught on random snags and knots can damage the bristles. Clean it everytime you use it, too. Other than that, if you are struggling to give yourself professional-style blowouts with a regular brush and dryer, buy this, and thank me later.

It will save you many tears and much frustration.

First of all, I never write reviews. I literally stopped styling my hair halfway through to write this review. That’s how passionate I am about what I’m going to say. I couldn’t wait. Lol. This product works.

It delivers what it says it will do and my long hair looks awesome in half the time. However, and this is a BIG issue. the handle is huge and uncomfortable to hold. I work out, lift weights, do hot yoga and and am in no way “weak.

” So for me to say that the handle is heavy and a burden is a big deal. Also keep in mind you have to hold the handle and manipulate it and roll it through your hair one section at a time – that’s a lot of work.

Your hand/wrist/forearm isn’t passive as it would be just holding the handle of a hair dryer for instance. So yes this products styles your hair in half the time BUT I often have to take breaks and rest my arm before I can finish my hair.

Hope this helps someone and if you are in any way weak in the arms/shoulder area you need to seriously consider if this product is right for you.

I tried the Revlon One-Step several months back when it was all over Tik Tok, and just couldn’t achieve the results everyone else was seeing and chalked it up to my hair type not working out with a hot brush.

I decided to give this one a try, as a fan of Hot Tools, and I’m so happy with the results! My favorite feature of this brush is the texture of the bristles, which I think set it apart from the Revlon tool, as I achieved results with far less frizz this time.

Here’s how I used it on my 2B/2C/3A curls: – Started after a wash with smoothing & moisturizing products + heat protectant – Rough blow dry with a standard dryer to about 75% dry – Divide into 3 sections and use the One Step on high in 1-2 inch sections until the piece is dry & smooth When I noticed some frizzy curls that weren’t cooperating, I gave them a gentle spray of water and then dried again with the brush.

Used a flexible hold hairspray to finish it off, and my hair was smooth and soft for days!.

This is a great blow dryer for those who want smooth looks with volume. It is easy to grasp and hold while using and doesn’t bother my wrists or hands, and is not heavy. It has several heat modes so you can choose according to your hair needs.

I use the medium setting for my fine hair. I section my hair and use the dryer on those parts, working my way up. It takes little time to dry, as the brush lifts and separates your hair. You can go under the hair like I do, for volume, or for smoothing just brush it down on the hair strands.

It can get quite hot, so be careful with your fingers. I can dry my hair much quicker with this dryer by taking sections, compared to a normal blow dryer and brush routine. It cools quickly so that I’m able to put it away when I’m done with my makeup.

I use a flat iron to finish up, but normally it is just minimal, because the blow dryer does such a great job. I would recommend this for anyone who wants smoother hair. My hair is pretty straight, so I don’t know how it works with someone with some curl.

I can set it on the low setting to dry my bangs slowly, so I can get them where I want them. I would definitely recommend this dryer over some others that I have had. The brush is not as large as my older brand, that was heavy and harder to control My hair is just touching my collar and the other brand wasn’t able to get the shorter hairs underneath, but this one does.

Pros: dries quickly, cools quickly, gives volume Cons: none so far.

I got this Volumizer because my blow dryer went kaput, and I wanted a dryer that wouldn’t make me look like I had gone out in a wind storm. This volumizer definitely works! I felt like it made my hair look thicker but at the same time smooth after I washed.

I did towel dry my hair before I used it, as suggested in the booklet. It didn’t dry my hair any faster than a regular dryer, so if your concern is speed, you would need something else. However, it doesn’t do too bad if you want to smooth your hair as you colonize.

I like the fact that you can remove the brush attachment to clean and I used it briefly without to dry my hair some at the roots before I did the rest. The temp settings are nice too, if you don’t want high heat or you have thinner hair, in which lower heat is probably better, and the cool setting is also nice if you don’t need heat.

I used the plastic sleeve to cover the brush part back after it cooled to protect it until next time. Overall, a great product, and affordable.

I’m terrible at doing girly things, especially hair. I have long, very thick, wavy hair and I just put it in a ponytail or bun because I am 1) lazy and 2) really ineffective at making it look nice. I rely on reviews and was skeptical about buying this tool, but I’m so happy I did and figured I should write a review for anyone out there like me.

When I used this, my hair was damp after a shower and had no products in it. I had washed and conditioned my hair in the shower and that’s it. I didn’t even bother brushing it before using this thing, (again, super lazy).

I could never figure out the whole blow dryer with round brush technique and always ended up with a poofy frizzy mess when I tried blow drying. but this?!?! OMG. Super easy. Took me 10 mins on medium, just this tool and nothing else.

No extra brush, sprays, oils. nothing. Just this and my hair looks like I just came from the salon: smooth and with a little swoopy curve at the ends. Love it. Worth every penny. Its idiot proof and works great.

I had no issues with the brush piece detaching like other reviews mentioned. The size is perfect, totally manageable and not too heavy or bulky. BUY THIS TOOL.

I had my hair stylist (she’s real old school) in Inglewood, Ca to use this and she really liked it. She blow dried my hair faster (in 4 sections of course) and she liked how much straighter my hair was because she was “brushing” it dry.

My ends were straighter, as well. She has carpal tunnel (wears wrist braces) and liked the weight of the brush, not too heavy. Also, she ppreciated the use of one hand vs hair stylist using a blow dryer in one hand and a brush in the other with my long (pass my bra strap) thick (very dense) hair.

Of course, I sat under the hairdryer to ensure my scalp was completely dry before my press-n-curl. Going to buy another one as a backup because products I love are rarely replaceable after 3-5 yrs or so.

Absolutely worth the money. I was apprehensive about buying this hair dryer brush but after researching multiple brands online, I was told this was one of the more beginner friendly hair dryer brushes on the market.

Its a little awkward to handle I will admit, since it is comically large, but its light enough to not cause pain in my wrists. Drying my mid-back length hair with this brush took no more than 30 mins.

I usually have to deal with getting hair rollers done, sitting in a dryer for 45 minutes, spending 15 minutes having a blower used to straighten my edges, and then another 15 to 20 minutes with a straightening iron.

I’ll take the 30 minutes of learning how to use a new styling tool and getting great results over sitting in a salon chair for an hour and a half, thank you very much.

I traded my round Revlon styler for the one step styler due to a torn rotator cuff. Love the light weight feel, and paddle brush style. My present cut is a lob, very long in the front, light layering in the back.

Naturally wavy and medium density. For me, the new styler works well on the shorter sections of hair. On the longest sections of hair, it seems to take extensive work to dry because the paddle brush is smaller than a large round brush.

Bottom line is that the Revlon styler is a good addition to your arsenal of tools!.

I love this brush. I had my doubts, after all I have so many tools that are supposed to work miracles on my hair. I have thick, long and frizzy hair. It takes a good 40 minutes to blow dry and then I have to use a hot iron to smooth it out.

And I don’t cheap out on shampoo, conditioner or styling tools. So when I got this in I didn’t try it with excitement, I was fully ready for the let down. But. I wasn’t let down. Yes, it’s loud and when I am doing the front sides of my hair, it’s hot on my face, but this actually makes my hair look like it does when I leave the salon.

Boy, was I happy!! And, I did it myself. It didn’t seem to take any longer than usual to dry my hair, definitely not as long as drying and then straightening. I didn’t feel like my arm was any more tired than when I hold my hair dryer.

If you are on the fence about this. get it. I’m so glad that I did!.

First time I used this was today. Dried my hair the best from the outside but when I tried do the same from inside the end of the tool barely touched my neck for a second and the skin of my neck was burned badly.

I never before gave a very bad review because I respect the opinion of other consumers but i believe this is actually a dangerous product. Five hours later, the burn still hurts and skin has peeled. I do not recommend this purchase.

My wife was looking at dryers that were in the $150 range. She came across this one and did a little research. She found the ratings almost identical to the other ones she was considering. The shipping was very fast.

This dryer is much faster than her old one and seems to be far more gentle on her hair. she loves it.

Fantastic for smoothing long curly hair. I really love this combination brush hair dryer. I have never owned one before and was not entirely certain what to expect or how well it would work with my hair, which is quite long and takes a long time to dry.

After using this, I think it will replace my regular hair dryer on most occasions. First, the brush is absolutely huge. It’s fantastic for smoothing hair out and creates a nice soft straightness. Second, it’s incredibly lightweight so it’s much easier to use than a brush and a blow dryer that work separately.

Finally, the air blows hot enough and strong enough that it cuts my hair drying time in half. You can also use the low setting or a cool setting, but I found that even on the high setting the shape of the brush helps keeps the cuticle smooth and the hair looking nice and shiny.

At first I wondered how high quality the product would be as the plastic portion of the dryer does feel a bit lightweight, however, this is also a bonus if your arms get tired holding a dryer under brush above your head.

For anyone who has physical challenges that make hair drying and styling difficult, this might be a great option as it is nice and big yet incredibly light. I’m very satisfied with this order and can happily recommend the brush to others.

With the InStyler, I was able to get my hair done in 16. 35 minutes (yes I timed it!) using larger chunks of hair to brush through. Usually, for my hair to look like this with the other heated brushes, I have to brush in small segments (like I do with a flat iron) which takes longer and defeats the purpose.

The thing to remember with these brushes is that you have to brush your hair in sections and (if you have think curly hair) you have to brush each section at least twice. Every brand that I have tried so far, works this way.

I can’t just run it through my hair like a regular brush because it will only straighten the top part. Compared to the other brands I have tried, I like this one the best because it heats up quickly and the temp remains consistent.

With the other brands I have tried, the temperature drops and I have to constantly pause to adjust it. Also, the tips of the bristles are so much more sturdy on the InStyler than the other brushes. I actually feel comfortable running it through my hair thick hair without breaking off the tips.

The heat setting goes straight to 450 degrees, but it flashes a few times to give you enough time to lower it if you need it. The one thing I wish it had was a temperature lock so that I don’t have to worry about accidentally pressing a button.

None of my other brushes have this feature either but the positioning of the buttons in the InStyler makes it more difficult for me to accidentally press the buttons anyway. As someone who has tried several other of these brushes I highly recommend the instyler.

I have curly, 3a hair. It’s porous/often dry, thick in quantity, and fine in texture. Often frizzy and easily damaged. I’m a devacurl haircut and product girl. I don’t straighten my hair often because it is the biggest pain you could imagine.

it usually takes about an hour and a half to blow dry + flat iron my hair. I was VERY hesitant about getting one of these brushes because a) I didn’t want to have to hold my hair taught in the brush and b) there seemed to be mixed reviews on it’s effectiveness.

But with ULTA’s return policy, I just had to go for it and try it out. and let me tell you, I am so glad that I did. This product is absolutely amazing. Other brushes stink because you have to hold you hair taught in the brush, but the clamp solves that problem.

The clamp holds your hair in the brush GENTLY so that there is no pulling. You can put large portions of hair in the brush because the “bristles” are long (as opposed to a flat iron where you have to portion out small sections of hair).

It straightened my hair in no time. took me ten minutes to do my entire head; that’s right. 1. 5 hours down to TEN MINUTES. After one swipe through, it leaves your hair textured enough so that I could use a curling iron to get those nice big barrel curls.

If I want to go all the way straight, I just swipe the brush through again. My process is this: 1) shower at night and put in devacurl leave in conditioner and morrocan oil 2) wake up with crazy, but dry, hair and spray ‘Hot Sexy Hair Protect Me’ heat protection spray and then run the brush through.

Ten minutes later I have sleek, straight hair!.

The GLOSSIE Ceramic Styling Brush makes straightening my naturally curly/wavy hair much quicker and still leaves me with a smooth finish. In the past, I’ve used flat irons to get the smooth and straight look, however ironing sections of my hair one at a time is often time consuming.

With the GLOSSIE Ceramic Styling Brush, I found I could straighten much larger sections of hair at a time and it wasn’t quite as tedious. The precision press feature that holds your hair down tightly against the heated bristles was a lifesaver making this product a great combination of brush and iron.

I did pre-comb/brush my hair but even then my fine hair got stuck at times in the GLOSSIE’s bristles. However, it was easy to de-tangle and start again. I found I had to make multiple passes to get the straightness I desired but even with these set-backs it was still a time saver for me.

It did take me a little time to get used to the bulkiness of the brush and some experimenting to see the best way to hold and use it. One thing I wish I could do with this brush was get a little closer to my scalp as I felt like the size of the brush head made it more difficult to straighten the hair closest to my head.

With some maneuvering, I was able to get the top parts straight enough for my liking. The different temperature settings were nice and definitely provided enough heat. Unfortunately, I tended to touch my straightened hair a little too early without letting it cool off some first which resulted in some discomfort but no major issues.

While I enjoyed using this product, it wouldn’t be something I would use everyday as I usually only straighten my bangs on a daily basis so I probably would not have purchased it. While i had never heard of this brush before participating in this program, it was a great product to try.

I would recommend this brush to people who straighten their hair daily as it could save them a lot of time!.

This is such a unique multi tool, I’ve never used anything like it! I love that it does the work of two products, a heated straightening brush and a blow drying straightener. You can use either feature or a combination of both, depending on the look you want.

It’s not heavier than other straightening dryers, plus it does such a great job at effectively drying and straightening, so even though I have a ton of curly/wavy hair, it’s not a huge ordeal to use this and cuts my styling time down by an hour almost.

I have a few things I don’t like. First, because the heating brush is more towards the center of the device due to the design, that you can’t get really close to the roots and you may need to go back over your roots with a flat iron to ensure that it is really straight.

However, in a pinch, this brush is perfect for a sleek, blown-out look. Second, you can’t control the temperature, it’s set at 365* F if I’m not mistaken. For people who have coarser hair like me, that means more passes with the brush which can actually end up being more damaging if you’re not careful.

For that reason, I think I would mostly use this for convenience rather than regularly, because I like a little more discretion over the temps I use on my hair.

I have type 4 hair that’s super curly/coily. I blow my hair out twice a month and then twist it as I’ve found stretching it out helps with manageability and cuts down on single strand knots and tangles.

I don’t need it to be super straight, just stretched so I can twist or braid it. I’ve been using the Revlon blow dryer brush and it gets the job done, but I’ve been on the lookout for a similar tool that doesn’t have the balls on the end.

I also wanted something a little more high end hoping it would be gentler on my hair. When I saw this tool I ordered it immediately because it looked to be exactly what I’d been searching for. Unfortunately it did not work for me.

I initially tried it on damp hair that had been detangled and split into sections and it just made my hair super puffy. I had to switch back to my Revlon dryer to blow my hair out. Once I was done, I decided to try the Amika again and it did help to smooth my hair more, but I can’t justify keeping it to “smooth” my hair after my Revlon has already done the heavy duty work.

I took a look at the Amika website and it’s actually not recommended for type 4 hair which is a bummer. I hope they develop a similar brush for coarse kinky hair because their round brush doesn’t work for me either.

I rarely blow dry my hair – yes, out of laziness, but also not wanting to damage it more than I already do. I like the brush and its easy to section the hair. I had another one that broke – dryer itself kinda broke and made this squealing noise – so bought another one.

Im guessing I had the first one for a year or so, so maybe the quality isnt as good b/c, as mentioned above, I wasnt using it every day. One thing I dont like is the the ease to use it. There are three settings – cool, med, hot.

I tend to start with hot to get the hair straightened or curled and then set it to cool to kinda lock it in. The PITA part is trying to switch it without accidentally shutting it off. The switch is in the base and you twist it to get to the right setting.

Its more annoying than anything else. Otherwise, I really like it – again, Im lazy and like using this instead of a flat iron which I know will DEFINITELY damage the hair. I do spray on some of that stuff thats supposed to protect your hair before I use it.

Also, I tend to wait until my hair air dries a bit before using – its not a tool you can use like a traditional hair dryer to wave around to get the excess water out, you need to use the brush.

I have 3B/3C curls and this dryer brush worked SO well (and quickly) on natural hair! I had bought this and the barrel brush version, both from revlon. This one won’t get your hair as straight as the barrel brush version, but I don’t see it as a negative because (1) paddle brushes aren’t meant to blow hair out bone straight and (2) it’s much quicker.

The barrel brush version requires perfectly detangled hair to get through even the smallest sections, so I preferred the paddle brush version anyway. So long as your hair is at least slightly detangled, it quickly brushes through and blows out your hair.

You can also use large sections with ease! I did half my head in 5 mins or less when my hair was down to my chest. The only reason I didn’t keep this product is that I buzzed my hair off about a week after purchase.

Otherwise, would’ve kept forever!.

Was so excited to score this on sale at a great price from Walmart. Packaged nicely and shipped in a timely manner. My daughter has extremely curly 4c hair type. We use this afternoon her hair washes when we are going to style/braid her hair.

Makes the parting and styling sooooo much easier. I also love that she can use this herself and learn how to do her hair, which is something we are working on. Also, love that she doesn’t have to steal mine since I was able to score this at a great price and now have two! Awesome product and no complaints.

My first impression was, “What a well-made hair-styling kit this is,” as I unpacked the various tools and handy carrying case. The instructions were clear and it was easy to interchange the parts. When I tried using it, however, is when my problems started.

I had difficulty gripping the handle, as it is quite thick, and it was hard for me to manipulate it around my hair and control the rotating action. I have quite thick hair and the drying aspect of it did not work well.

Even after I semi-dried my hair using another hair dryer, I just couldn’t manipulate neither the rotating brush nor the iron. In theory, this seems to be a very useful product, however, for me personally, it just doesn’t work.

I’m chalking up most of the problems due to user inability and am sure others may have more success. The heating part of it, I think, could be a bit hotter and more powerful, enabling thicker hair to dry better.

I first have to mention the carrying case that this product comes in. It is amazing! It looks great and holds everything in place when not in use. It is also made of very good material so it will hold up wither you are traveling or just for storage when not in use.

I love that this product allows you to have straight or curly hair, depending on your mood or preference. It comes with 4 different attachments, all which are very easy to change out. One attachment you use to help your hair to not be too damp.

Then you change the attachment out to a different attachment, depending on if you want straight or curly hair. The paddle brush attachment helps get rid of the frizz that regular blow dryers are well known to make.

I recommend this air styler to anyone looking for smooth looking hair.

Love this hair curler – heats up fast, can curl thick strands of hair (my hair is thin so i curl my hair overall fast), and it is really light.

We own several Shark appliances and have a genuine appreciation of those excellent products with their impressive performance. It was therefore an easy decision to select the Shark FlexStyle. The Shark FlexStyle (Model HD430) includes the Multi-Styling Tool, which is the core of the system to which the accessories attach for use.

This power unit provides four heat settings (No Heat, Low, Medium, High), plus “Cool Shot” (No Heat while button is depressed and held) and three airflow settings (Low, Medium, High). Each of those setting levels are annunciated by small LED lamps above the Temperature Button and the Airflow Button.

With a twist of the articulating barrel, it converts from a hair styling wand into a hair-blower / hairdryer. Accessory attachments include two 1 ¼” Auto-Wrap Curlers which wrap hair around them using the FlexStyle airflow.

These curlers use Coanda Technology to wrap, curl and set hair. The Coanda Effect refers to an aerodynamic characteristic whereby a fast-moving jet of air “attaches” to a surface. The high velocity airflow of the FlexStyle effectively wraps hair around the curlers and maintains tension on the hair to develop a tight and even wrap.

The curlers are directionally oriented, with one used for clockwise wraps and the other used for counterclockwise wraps (marked marked Left and Right, including directional arrows showing the airflow direction).

Also included are two air styling brush attachments comprised of an oval brush with both smoothing bristles on the edges and detangling bristles in the center, and a paddle brush, which also has both smoothing and detangling bristles, for use in smoothing, straightening and volumizing hair.

The final attachment in this package is a concentrator, for directing and concentrating the powerful airflow of the Shark FlexStyle when using it as a conventional hair-blower / dryer. All attachments securely anchor in place using a small rotation which interlocks the plastic cam pins and latches with an audible click.

Attachments are quickly and easily released by the sliding Lock button. Shark also offers an optional Curl-Defining Diffuser which is sold separately for drying curly and wavy hair and enhancing curls and waves.

Since hairstyles change and people choose to modify their hairstyles, the Curl Defining Diffuser should be included with the FlexStyle system. The system really should be complete and include everything necessary for user flexibility and choice, including the Diffuser.

I am confident that my wife is just one of many users who really want and need the Diffuser attachment. It would also be nice if there was a case included for both storage and travel with the Shark FlexStyle System because this is quite an extensive collection of implements.

The FlexStyle components really should not simply be stored loose in a drawer or cabinet, and when travelling it could be a challenge to pack the FlexStyle in a manner that prevents possible damage. If you plan on styling a shorter hair style or bangs, note that both of the Brush attachments are large.

The Oval Brush measures 3 ¼” across the narrow aspect, and 3 7/8” on the wide aspect. The Paddle Brush measures 3 ½” across the bristles. My wife’s conventional, round styling brush is only 1 ¾” in diameter.

It would be nice if a smaller diameter brush were included for users with short styles or bangs. The FlexStyle Multi-Styling Tool is 11 3/16” overall in the straight configuration for use with the curlers and brush attachments, which increase the overall length to about 17 ¼”.

The Multi-Styling Tool weighs only 14. 1 ounces (400 grams), without attachments. About 1/3 (3”-4”) below the top of the Multi-Styling Tool is an articulating joint which through an easy twist of the tool converts the straight tool into a 90° right angle tool for use with the concentrator attachment for hair-blowing / drying.

The rotating hinge is locked in place until released with the Hinge Latch button immediately below the hinge. The FlexStyle Multi-Styling Tool is equipped with an exceptionally long power cord, spanning 9’.

The cord is equipped with a GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) for user safety (as required by law), and is apparently also protected by a fusible link. All of the connections on the power cord are equipped with robust strain relief, and at the base of the Multi-Styling Tool, the strain relief is angled and rotates freely so that the power cord is never a nuisance which impedes the use of the FlexStyle and the power cord is not likely to become twisted or tangled during use.

The maximum wattage of the FlexStyle is 1300 watts, which equates to a 10. 8 amp electrical load. Clearly, the Shark FlexStyle system replaces several hair styling implements and appliances, with an elegant, flexible, versatile and efficient all-in-one hair styling solution.

A very significant benefit of the Shark FlexStyle is that it virtually eliminates the likelihood of damaging hair due to excessive heat, according to the manufacturer. The FlexStyle is designed to precisely monitor and regulate temperature by measuring and adjusting temperature 1,000 times per second.

The FlexStyle accurately maintains temperature that is consistent, rather than widely fluctuating which can result in hair being exposed to excessively high temperatures and incurring damage, I measured the FlexStyle output at 7” from the nozzle.

On the Low setting the temperature was approximately 140° F, on the Medium setting it was approximately 160° F and on the High setting the temperature measured approximately 180° F. The air velocity discharged by the FlexStyle is strong.

Of course, the unit produces noise when in operation, but even at the High speed airflow setting, the motor noise of the FlexStyle was not uncomfortably loud, as some other hair-blowers typically are.

My wife has used a great many hair styling tools and appliances throughout the years. She was very anxious to start using the Shark FlexStyle to determine if it would actually improve upon her hair styling tasks, reduce the effort and burden, and produce superior results.

My wife reviewed the printed Shark FlexStyle Styling Guide which is included in the package, consulted the FAQs on the Shark website, and watched several Internet videos prior to using the FlexStyle for the first time.

Mrs. Curmudgeon really loves the Shark FlexStyle. She has used each of the FlexStyle attachments in order to determine if the FlexStyle actually produces better results than she could achieve with her array of conventional hair styling implements, and to see if the FlexStyle would truly replace all of those individual, single-purpose tools.

We are both very pleased with the results. Not only is she finding it to be easier and quicker to style her hair with the FlexStyle, but she genuinely prefers the results that she is achieving with the FlexStyle.

The FlexStyle is excellent at producing curls of variable tightness without damaging her hair. Likewise, she found that, except for her bangs, both the oval brush attachment and paddle brush attachment performed their respective tasks better than when she formerly employed separate brushes and needed to use both hands (brush in one and blow-dryer in the other).

This improved efficiency may likely be the result of the temperature controlled heated air being applied from inside the brush, rather than the conventional method. The FlexStyle appears to be well-built of high-quality plastic materials with a solid feel.

The FlexStyle is comfortable and easy to use given the unit’s dimensions and light weight. My wife likes how comfortable and convenient it is to use the FlexStyle. The weight and balance are nice, and the control buttons for temperature and airflow are conveniently located on the handle.

The only control button that is perhaps not in the most convenient location, especially for small hands, is the Cool Shot button, which is used to “set” curls and waves after using heated airflow. The distance between the Cool Shot button and the other controls ranges between 2 ½”: and 4”.

My wife has found it to be a bit of a stretch to use that button, but has adapted her grip on the FlexStyle to facilitate the use of the Cool Shot button. This was just a very minor accommodation. Notably, the air intake for the powerful fan in the Multi-Styling Tool is at the base of the tool in the bottom 2” of the handle.

It is important to avoid holding the implement in such a way that the user’s hand is obstructing the perforations for air intake, particularly since the control buttons are located in the bottom 2 ½”: of the handle.

That perforated section of the handle covers a fine filter. The filter cover is removable and exposes the internal filter for cleaning with a toothbrush or other soft brush. The FlexStyle is covered by a 2-year warranty against manufacturer defects, however if Shark replaces the unit, a fee (disclosed in the printed warranty provisions included in the box) is assessed.

Overall, we both think that the Shark FlexStyle Air Styling and Drying System is really great. It is a powerful blow-dryer for styling and hair drying. It is a flexible and innovative hair styling system which makes curling, smoothing, straightening and styling hair faster and easier than with the numerous separate, dedicated tools, and with nicer results.

A big plus is eliminating the heat damage that is virtually impossible to avoid with conventional blow-dryers, curling wands and straightening irons. The Shark FlexStyle Air Styling and Drying System really does it all, does it easier and does it better!.

There are different kinds of hair and products for styling each of them, the cost to have a product for each type of hair style would be very expensive, however this hair dryer, which is priced quite competitively and I could even say below the competition, allows you to get virtually any type of style that is to your liking and according to the type of hair you have.

The first thing you ask is if this product is worth the price and knowing that there are other options out there with similar features, the honest answer I can give is, it is definitely worth every penny, it is a hair dryer that offers much more than just drying your hair, which by the way compared to an ordinary dryer is much more effective.

The design besides being very aesthetic and elegant, is made in a way that is very simple and easy to use, a function that I really like is that you press a button to rotate the top of the dryer to have a better angle and grip when drying, I was fascinated.

The motor blows out enough air in three levels to dry your hair in a short time. In terms of heat it also has three levels but with the first two you can style your hair very well because it generates enough heat and this added to the fact that it blows out the air strongly, makes it unnecessary to use the maximum heat level.

Before styling the hair it is recommended to use some product to protect the hair from the heat, this varies from person to person, however we must not forget that we are exposing our hair to heat. The performance is great, each of the ways the aceseories can be use, I get a excellent result, it takes time but it is worh it.

It is possible to straighten the hair and curl it if desired, give volume or if you have curly hair you can also get many styles. There are video guides on the Shark Beauty Youtube channel that shows you how to use the accessories in the best way and get the best out of them, I find them very useful.

It is a product that, when you consider the price on the market for similar products that have an outstanding performance, exceeds expectations by far. Each of the accesories fit together without a problem, it is easy to use, it is comfortable and one thing that I like is that it has a button that when you hold it down when using hot air, it blows out cold air which is very helpful in some cases.

The hair dryer is kind of loud similar to most common hair dryers. In summary, I can say that there are a countless number of hairstyles that can be achieved with this hair dryer, similar results to those of a beauty salon.

It has a very elegant design, includes accessories quite useful and the best thing is not expensive, if you do not want to spend on high end brand products, this Shark FlexStyle is a great option, highly recommended.

I have loved using this Shark hairdryer,with extra attachments for styling as you dry your hair. ( what an amazing time saver) I generally let my hair air dry at night after a shower and a quick towel “dry”, and then wrestle with straightening it in the morning, where I eventually give up and just tie it up for the day.

It has been a never ending cycle but this Shark HyperAir has helped the situation immensely. It seems like no matter what hair dryer is used on my hair, whether that be our basic household one or the several different models used by a salon professional over the years, it always ends up taking forever to dry my hair.

Even at the most powerful settings, generally about 25-30 minutes. This Shark unit, however, is able to dry my hair in 10-15 minutes tops. From being practically dripping wet to dry, I am so impressed and glad I found something that worked.

Also, I may add that it doesn’t damage you hair as a typical hair dryer does. I am thinking the ionized air/ negative ion generator helps with this because my hair has honestly never looked so good after using this unit, the texture is so much better.

Not only does this unit do a great job with no attachments on it, but I have found the styling brush attachment works very well with my hair and what I would like my hair to look like after a blow dry.

After a traditional drying, my hair definitely still needs to be straightened and probably some product to help control the frizz. However, the styling brush attachment literally takes care of about 3 steps at once and the final product is even better.

My hair is nearly straight with it and is extremely smooth, no frizz or fly aways to be found. It also gets about 45-50 minutes of work done in 15 minutes. The brush attachment is that good. The concentrator attachment is also excellent for its specific use.

My mom and I figured out that the concentrator attachment is better for her because she likes to use specific hair brushes while she dries and styles her hair so she loves the concentrator. As far as temperature, it seems like this unit works at just the perfect temperatures.

The lowest setting is still strong enough to aid in drying, and the highest setting does a great job without burning my skin or hair. The one dislike of this unit is the lack of ergonomics. It is a good size and weight, but there are no grips or grooves to help you hold on to it.

I found that it twists around in my hand sometimes, especially when using the brush attachment. However the very long power cord is an added bonus, this is by far the longest power cord I have ever seen on a hair dryer and it is very convenient.

The unit itself is small enough that it does not take up much space on the countertop, and it will be very easy to travel with. Honestly it works so well I would travel with it even if it was bigger.

I cannot say enough good things about this Shark Hyperair dryer, it is my new favorite product and I recommend it to anyone in need of a hair dryer or just looking to upgrade.

I purchased a Dyson Air Wrap from a company called Paysal Hatach. It turned out to be a counterfeit product. I brought the Dyson Airwrap to the Dyson store in NYC and they confirmed the product was a counterfeit.

But DYSON NYC told me I needed to call customer service which I did and they also said they thought the product was counterfeit but they sent me back to the Dyson store in NYC to confirm this finding which they did but they would not give me a letter they just noted that this product was counterfeit in their system.

Dyson NYC would not give me a letter the credit card company needed to give me my $399 for the counterfeiit product. After countless hours on the phone with Dyson and at the NYC store they said I needed to send the product back to Dyson.

If they determine the product is counterfeit they will send a letter to me but will not return the product and cannot guarantee this letter will be sufficient for me to get my money back from my credit card company.

I understand Dyson did not sell a counterfeit product to me. But they have been extraordinarily difficult do get help from between their reps at the store not wanting to write a simple letter saying the product is counterfeit to the hours I have spend on the phone with the reps who had me get on FaceTime to look at product and confirm the product is counterfeit and then to say I still need to sent it back to Dyson and I will not be returned with no guarantee I will get my money back.

What I know is If Dyson won’t provide me with the letter saying this is not a Dyson product. I will never purchase another Dyson product. I have purchased several vacuums as well as s Dyson Hair Dryer and I have 3 girls who I promised I would buy them this Airwrap.

I feel like the only people who are winning in this situation is Paysalhatach who sold me this counterfeit product. They know they can get away with it because of the process required to prove that it is counterfeit.

I am in love with my airwrap! I am sure we’ve all read all the polarizing reviews and watched the YouTube videos. I knew I’d make it work for me no matter what because I was determined, and I don’t like to return things.

I sprayed my dry clean hair with water, put in some product and just started messing around and I was instantly amazed! I have pretty thin straightish very long hair that is all one length currently and it did a beautiful job curling my hair, my boyfriend was even amazed when I peeked into the hall and curled my hair without even looking to show him! it is so easy.

The next day I actually washed my hair and started fresh, my hair dried almost immediately just with the blow dry attachment, I wouldn’t even need the super sonic, but my bf thinks I should anyways lol.

I did purchase separately the long barrel attachments (I havent used the normal length because my hair is past my chest. I used oil, cream, heat protect, mousse, held my hair a couple inches from the ends to guide to the airwrap and held the curl for 12 seconds on hot 10 on cool shot, sprayed with hairspray and left for 20 minutes before I brushed out with my fingers.

I threw my hair up in a claw clip to sleep and my hair is still curly almost two days later, I only need to retouch the front/bang. My t3, foxybae, and hot tools could NEVER! my hair always got so flat and I would have to curl my hair literally daily and was always forced to use the smallest size barrel for my hair to hold any curl but I hate that look.

I used the medium size long barrel and it held beautifully, still waiting on my bigger barrels but the small one looked cute too and was recommended if your hair can’t hold a curl like mine. my hair feels so soft and shiny, it looks better than it ever has after styling.

I feel like it cut down my styling time since it combined my blow dry and curl into one! obviously price is expensive, I think it’s worth it in my opinion for the quality and experience I have using it.

I was lucky enough to purchase this half price and was a little unsure after reading reviews, watching video reviews etc but this is perfect for my needs. I wasn’t prepared to spend 10 times more for the famous Dyson Airwrap and was willing to try the BaByliss.

First off it’s quieter than I thought, it is quite lightweight but that didn’t bother me. I have medium weight hair cut to just above shoulder length and usually blow dry and then straighten. Not now! OMG what a game changer.

I lightly dry with the hair drying element and the using the flat brush to style my hair and I cannot believe the results, it genuinely looks like I’ve stepped out from the hairdressers. No need to straighten which means no extra heat damage, another bonus.

A heat glove is provided but its not something I’m bothered using. I’m so excited to try the curling element and the round brush for volume. I’ll say it again, a game changer for a fantastic price.

I have mid length very fine hair that’s washed every day and this leaves it feeling very soft. The curl doesn’t hold brilliantly but that’s my hair. What it does do is create a good bounce by using the round styling attachment and my hair looks styled.

I also like the paddle brush attachment for days when I can’t be bothered to fuss. It’s not a Dyson air wrap, but it does a great job on my hair at a tiny fraction of the price. I’ve got a couple of other babyliss products (hairdryer and heated rollers) and really rate this brand for price and quality.

Amazing product. Absolute life changer! I have very frizzy textured hair which makes blow drying very difficult! A chore! Straightening seemed to be very damaging. This air dryer gives a straightening anti frizz look and really easy to use! I had to order another ( after 1 yr) one as it started to over heat as I use it very often.

switches off when over heats so not dangerous! Other than that I would highly recommend. especially if you have thick hair.

I have had this Wahl styling brush before and having tried other brushes before I find the Wahl the best for my baby fine, thin hair. Easy to use and handle. The only weakness to this styler is the clip which secures the brush to the handle.

This weakens over time and breaks off which means the brush will not stay in place. This is something that Wahl should look at and improve on as my two previous Wahl stylers failed on the same part. All the same I gave it 5 stars as it does give my hair volume and style.

Easy to use, ionic is on all the time, one less button to press, the two detatchable brushes are good sizes. Hot speed does get pretty hot enough to curl but does a lot less damage than curling iron.

Could do with heat resistant mat to put it on, but as I have one already all is well. Other reviews have said handle large but no larger than other hot brushes I have used. Very pleased.

Have tried a couple of different hit ait stylets before and been happy enough with them but my hairdresser bought the straighteners and they were amazing so bought myself some and decided fo try this too.

Its alot gentler on your hair than others. Has 3 settings which I like. Leaves my hair smooth and looking healthier. Would recommend.
