There were many many things that I loved about Kristin Ess – 3-In-One Ceramic Flat Iron. First I loved the box that it is in, its very sheek and very nice looking with a different and unique feel too it, then I like how the flat iron is on top in a little box of its own that you can pull out and keep your flat irons in so you dont have too worry about dropping them.

I love how the cord is wrapped and has a Velcro sticky band around it, so all I have too do is wrap it back up and put the band around the cords. I also love the two flat iron covers for it because its a new way of protecting them.

The instructions are very clear and understanding. Most of all what I absolutely love about the Kristin Ess – 3-In-One Ceramic Flat Iron is that once you hit the on button you can easily adjust the temperature too the proper temp for your hair.

Its doesnt get super hot to where I cant hold it, it do not make my hair fry or pop or even break off while I am straightening my hair. The metal flattening plates are so so soft and easy too grip my hair to the roots.

It straightens with out me having too keep going over and over my hair, my hair is alway silky smooth and looks as if I have gotten it done by a professional. Easy too turn off and cools down very very quickly and so easy to put away and store.

My hair is long, bleached, damaged, fine, very frizzy, and wavy. I started out with freshly washed hair and applied heat protectant before blow drying it. Then, I sectioned my hair and ran a comb through before straightening each piece on heat setting 4.

This is an honest review. I read all the raving reviews and got this after much research and no this not a good straightener (so i have returned it). I have coarse hair that go a little above my elbows.

It took me many passes to straighten my hair on the 450 heat. It did straighten my hair but not as well as i wanted and definitely not the ends. This is the part that bothered me the most. After straightening, my hair felt coarse and fried.

I always deep condition and use heat protectant before straightening. But no matter what i did this just made my hair feel very dry and fried after straightening. I had to use the highest heat setting because it was not straightening my hair on lower settings.

Very very disappointed. Used it twice because since I really wanted to like this i wanted to believe i was wrong. Sadly I wasnt 🙁 got this a week ago and now returning. It did glide on the hair and did somewhat straighten the hair (not the ends though- they looked very bad) hence two stars for that.

This one was ready to use in no time at all. The package says that it heats up in 15 seconds and that is very accurate. There is no wait time at all with it. You basically plug it in, set it to the desired temperature and it’s ready to go.

I had a bit of a hard time trying to determine the correct temperature for my hair. My hair is color treated and the instructions say to use it at 340-380 degrees. However, it is very thick and frizzy and it says that thick hair should be used at temps of 400-450 degrees.

I decided to use it at 400 degrees and that really worked for my hair without making it feel like it was burning it. I love the digital temp that tells you the exact degree of heat that you are using on your hair.

The 1″ is small but I found that it was easy to use once you separate your hair into sections. I didn’t have to keep going over my hair. I would use it once and it was done for that section. I did notice that the tool didn’t seem to clamp down on my hair very much.

It was not tight when pulling it down my hair. I guess that doesn’t make a huge difference but I’m more used to using one that really clamps down on your hair. There is an automatic shutoff mechanism that will turn off the appliance after 1 hour.

I like this and have not attempted to leave it on one hour to see if it works or not but I like having this safety feature as peace of mind in case I do ever forget to unplug it. The plates are supposed to be made with real crushed pearls.

I don’t know what all that means but I can honestly say that it really did straighten and smooth my hair. Remember, my hair is very frizzy and thick and after using the flat iron, my hair was so smooth and silky that I could hardly keep my hands from touching it.

It made my hair look so much nicer and it lasted throughout the next day until I washed it. I would say to do a really thorough job, it took me about 10 minutes to straighten it which is pretty fast in my opinion.

All in all, I highly recommend this flat iron and would recommend it to anyone that desires silky, smooth hair.

I was able to score one of these for under retail price, and it is amazing! I have had a Chi for like 6 years and I actually prefer this straightener. It heats up quickly, has a nice soft coating so it’s easy to grip and hold, has an adjustable temp, and it’s cord swivels so it is really easy to maneuver.

I have thick, frizzy, curly hair and this made it look like I had nice normal straight hair. It is wonderful! It also comes with a lifetime warranty. There are only a couple of minor things that bug me a tiny bit.

One is that it pulls on your hair a little bit, but every straightener I’ve used does that to some degree. Also it falls over on its side really easily when you set it down. I have granite countertops so it doesn’t matter, but I could see it becoming more of a problem if I didn’t have granite in my bathroom.

I recommend this straightener for sure! I would repurchase it, but won’t have to since it had a lifetime warranty 😉.

Good story for you all: I got sucked into a mall kiosk for this product. The woman sat me down and styled my entire head for free with the straightener. At the end of that, she finally dropped the price on me.

$200-300? Yeah, in your dreams lady. After suckering her up for about 20 minutes, I ended up getting a discount and it came out to $100. BARGAIN. I bought it, and I haven’t loved something more. This straightener works quickly and very well.

It heats up fast and gets my hair poker straight in a short amount of time. I also use this to curl my hair because I don’t like the look of normal curler-type curls and it’s great. I’m glad I finessed that lady because I would have still been using cheap, crappy metal plates on my head!.

In need of a new flat iron, I was reviewing in my mind all the various heated hairstyling tools I have owned over the years. Not a single one was memorable except for a BabyLiss iron that was of superior quality that went missing during a move.

Hoping to replicate that experience I took the plunge on this somewhat expensive model which proved exceptional in its performance. It saves so much time by heating up in a jiffy and requiring fewer passes through the hair, yet not singing my baby-fine and persistently wavy locks.

The outer metal casing and curved blades prevent unwanted dents and ridges, leaving the final appearance smooth and glossy. The safety end caps are easy to grip which is not the norm for many tools. It’s features were exactly what I was looking for.

This iron is perfect! I have thin hair but have been told I have a lot of thin hair. ? My hair is very wavy when air dried. I always blow dry it out and it straightens it pretty well but still have waves.

I first put it on 400 and it did a fabulous job. My hair was straight and I could still curve it under without a crimp. I also highlight blond in it regularly and it still made it silky and shiny, I love it!! Definitely recommend unless you have very thin dry hair.

I’m so glad I have this. I’ve tried so many high end, and even drug store straighteners and I’ve never seen a hair straightener this good. Super hard to find in Canada but I was lucky to get this one and a 1/2 inch in a combo pack at Winners.

This definitely feels high quality. I can’t even describe it. It’s kind of heavy but in a good way. It just feels so luxurious in your hard, it is like the smoothest metal ever. I’ve dropped it and it’s been fine.

Heats up in seconds and doesn’t take long to get my wavy hair straight. Cord is decently long. I think the outside of it heats up so you can curl hair easily with it but I’m not brave enough to try. Like it is HOT.

Omg. This iron is something else. Next level! I an a professional hair stylist. I just got my hands on it. I tested it and was shocked. Heats up quickly. And gives perfect flat non frizzy shiny hair.

I had an older BaByliss flat iron for years that I loved and when I accidentally left it in a hotel, I thought that surely there were cheaper options out there that would work. I tried 2 other brands that were around $40 and they were HORRIBLE.

I bought these as I have had short hair for years and used a pair of GHD minis for styling. But thanks to our global enemy corona, and the war it waged on haidressers my hair is now past my shoulders and turns out I like it long but the GHD minis were just not upto the challenge of my thick wavy mop.

So because I am on a mega budget I got these. and I do not regret it one bit! Dare I say it, but they are just as good if not better than my GHDs which new were £100 more. They feel good and solid, if a bit lighter.

They are super smooth and I have no issues with tugging (I notice a couple reviews disagree with this, but my guess is they are taking sections that are too big) I like the little heat dial, something my GHDs did not have.

My only criticism is the lock catch that you use to keep the plates together when off feels like it might not be reliable for the long haul, but saying that it has not yet failed and I have not reduced my rating because.

well. £25! And if that is all I can find an issue with then I’m still over the moon. They straighten beautifully in one pass (2 for those stubborn kinks) and the shape holds for ages. You can also use them to make beautiful curls.

I have long thick hair and normally require hair straighteners which have high heat to be able to straighten my hair properly. I tried this out after drying my hair and as with other heat products you need to use a heat protection to prevent any damage/breakage to your hair and I have to say it is fantastic.

These straighteners are lightweight, have a high temperature of 230 degrees and comes with a heatproof may. The plates gently glide through my hair without pulling which is something I used to have issues with when using other similar products.

I also find it straightens all at once so I do not have to go through the same area twice. The temperature variable wheel is handy as it easily allows the change in temperature so for example on my split ends I prefer using a lower heat.

The plate lock is also great as it ensures the straighteners are closed easily and therefore takes up less storage space. Overall a great product which I am very happy with.
