20 Best Hair Removal Razor For Ladies (2022 Updated)

The trick is to hold the razor flat against your face; not at an angle as if you were shaving. I was a little hesitant to use the facial razor because I’ve always been warned that hair will grow back thicker and darker, but this type of dermaplaning instrument seems to be popular so I decided to take the chance.

It has been a few weeks now since I started using it, and the regrowth looks the same as prior to use. The instructions say to use the razor in an upward motion, but it doesn’t clearly state to keep it flat against your skin.

If you angle it like a razor, it doesn’t work. If you hold it flat and sweep upward, it works pretty well and is easy and quick to get rid of peach fuzz as well as hair on the upper lip. I like it because it’s easy to get at all the areas around the mouth.

I have been using a depilatory on my upper lip and chin, but I don’t do it enough because it makes my skin feel funny for a day, and if I leave it on too long, it burns. This facial razor doesn’t bother my skin at all.

I still have to use tweezers for thicker hairs, but that was true with the depilatory as well. I did not use it on my eyebrows as I usually don’t have many strays there, and I was afraid of removing part of my eyebrow, honestly.

I tried to take a selfie to show how to hold the razor against your face, but I wasn’t able to hold my smart phone and the razor to get a good picture. Once you get used to how to hold the razor, this is a quick, easy, and effective method toward having a hair free face.

This razor is basically everything I’ve been searching for. It’s small, compact (perfect for traveling!), with a breathable case, AND the ability to change out the razor head. I feel like the handle is a tad small but it works.

It is easy to hold and just takes a little getting used to. I absolutely love how small and discreet this razor is. VERY easy to travel with! The case has holes in it which allows excess moisture to evaporate (no moldy razors here!).

The case also adds protection from the blades so you’re not likely to cut yourself when digging through your travel bag. An absolute must for any traveling person who likes to shave their legs and armpits on the regular!.

I love these little Venus razors. I used to use men’s ones as my hair grows so quickly the men’s razors always gave me a closer shave on my legs. But then I discovered these. They are small, strong and make my legs silky smooth.

I hurriedly bought this one after I’d finished work. I thought I’d picked up the extra smooth one. I used my usual shaving gel with it and the blocks on the razor prevented me from getting a really close shave.

In fact the razor didn’t glide at all as it was quite stiff and the soap blocks on it just got in the way. My knees, ankles and undercarriage were cut to bits and still stubbly. Because the head is bulky it won’t get into your nooks and crannies.

The extra smooth in this range is great this is the opposite. I simply don’t understand it. Don’t waste your money. Buy the extra smooth and use a decent shaving gel instead. Trust me! My hair grows really quickly, if I had laser treatment and all my hair on my legs disappeared Gillette would go bust as the sales of their razors would fall off a cliff.

I’d happily test their new products and give them the real verdict. Nobody should find time for mediocre nonsense in their lives especially at this price.

Going through trial and error on every razor became tiresome. I could not find the right one. Just last week I got the chance to try this razor and boy was I impressed! Right away you get the feel it’s going to be a good razor because of the quality and care they took to make this.

I mean it has a metal handle and it looks like it will last a long time. I love the idea of only having to replace the cartridge only because less plastic is being thrown away. The five blades have always worked well for me but the curve this one has is way smoother and more flexible than any other razor I have used.

The best part? The colors! I am a color girl so having the silver handle with a lavender color cartridge was more than a beautiful color combo. This razor was meant to be for me and I am sure for many other woman as well.

IšverstiShow in original languageThese refills are wonderful. I wet my legs, applied some soap and got to shaving. I never have a nick, cut, or razor burn from using my Venus. Im pretty sure that blue oval that goes around the razor is a big help with that.

It offers almost a gel like coating that helps the razor glide over any area. The knee, or back of it, under armpits there’s no catching, only a nice smooth shave afterward. I usually shave a day before putting shorts on just encase I end up with a rash, or razor burn.

I have not had that problem ever while using my Venus razor. This week I jumped in the shower after family called for a quick shave. They asked of I wanted to go swimming. Yes I do! Just let me shave and get ready really quickly.

Within 40 minutes I was headed out the door. Smooth legs and underarms. No irritation from sunblock being sprayed on my whole body, or the chlorine in the pool. I had a wonderful day, got some sun, and looked great the whole day.

The razor glides smoothly across my skin with the help of added moisture ribbons that surround the blades. Even though the moisture ribbons do help aid in shaving, I don’t recommend using the razor without some type of shave gel or cream.

Venus suggests that one refill can last a month. As someone who shaves VERY often, I can completely agree with this, and usually only have to change mine out every 3-4 weeks. When using a fresh refill, the blades will be much sharper.

You’ll want to be a little more careful at first, but they will quickly dull to a more useable sharpness quickly. I cannot recommend these refills enough! I don’t know what I would do if Venus ever took them off the market!.

I have used the set of 3 disposables for a while now. I am now on my 3rd razor. they each last a pretty long time. Id shave maybe once or twice max a week. Here and there ill skip a week. so 1 razor can last at least 2 months.

I feel SO smooth after and I dont use any cream or anything. and just like all razors, you have to be careful with the cap. that being said im a clumsy and impatient person, and have never cut myself off this razor.

Im now going to purchase the single and get refills.

I still have been using this razor for a year! Never has it rusted. Even for your girl parts. This is the only razor I will ever use @ DEJAVU20203000.

I should start by saying I am not usually a Venus razor fan. I have always felt that the larger area around the blades and main razor head are too large and in the way. With this being said, I wanted to try this out, give them another try to see what the hype was about, and why they are so popular.

I also didn’t realize this was one that could work without needing shaving gel/cream. So that was a nice surprise. I will also say that after using this for a week, I still feel loyal to my more basic razor head style, the Simply3 or Joy style razors BUT (but!!) I may have been persuaded.

Here’s why. I didn’t realize this was one that might not need shaving gel. That’s a HUGE cool factor. It caught me by surprise how upon first (and even subsequent) uses it was quite gooey while using.

I could see the strings of slick, we’ll call it “goo”, stringing as I lifted the razor up. And boy is it slick! It’s almost slick slimey. A little much actually, for me. It definitely leaves you feeling smooth and sleek, and I’m not entirely sure it’s not because of the provided cushion of comfort (what is that stuff?) that it lays down as you swipe with the razor.

However, it was intensified by using shaving gel in addition to. Now, without using a shaving gel, it still did this gooey stuff, but after a few uses that calmed down and seemed quite nice! So, as the “comfort glide” wears down it is a really nice, slick, shave.

I was happy to find that after shower, it was indeed a close, smooth shave. The only negative thing I found with this razor is the bigger “head” on the razor is one I think works great for legs. It is not my top pick for bikini area.

Though, I will say, I while trying out this razor, I did not get any nicks or cuts. I think the cushioned flaps on the head help protect from those, as well as the [extra] lubrication from the cushioned gel things.

Overall, I’d recommend this razor, and I’ve already hunted down refills for this one to continue to use, interchangeably with my other razor. The lack of needing shaving gel is a huge win, especially for a time crunched mom of 3.

The Venus ComfortGlide White Tea Razor is a great everyday razor. I have been a Venus Razor user for years and love most of their products. The kit comes with a razor handle and 2 of the ComfortGlide White Tea blade refills.

The handle of this razor is very ergonomic and fits well and comfortably in my hand. I always feel I get a great and very close shave with all of the Venus blades. The white tea scent smells very fresh and clean.

There is no need to use lotion, soap, or shaving cream with this razor because of the white tea soap bars. The only issues I have with this razor is that the white tea soap bars on either side of the 3 blades gets somewhat of a slimy consistency when you get it wet and the more you rinse the hair off the blades.

The other issue is that the soap bars are used up and disappear very quickly. Usually in 2-4 uses. Once these bars are gone, you are left with plastic pieces that held the soap bars and they do not feel great on the skin.

Those are my only issues and downfalls with these blades/soap bars on the razor.

lots of accidental cuts, not sure if it’s a bad batch or poor quality control but the last two packages I’ve gotten terrible cuts with each shave. I’m a little clumsy so I’ll occasionally knick myself but it’s horrible with these razors.

I’ve used these off and on for a two years or so and I’d have maybe one razor out of five not be good. definitely will not be buying again. it’s a shame because triple blade razors have been great at minimizing razor burn while still being a good shave.

Not For me. Seems to be a good product, easy to use, close shave. I had an allergic reaction, welts all over my thighs and underarm. Tried it twice and same reaction only worse the second time. Just making those aware if you have allergies or sensitive skin.

The more blades, the better. 3 blades beat those cheap dollar razors. Moisture strip helped reduce irritating my skin. I primarily just shaved my pits, but this razor worked well for my legs. Only thing better is 4 blades.

First things first- I used to get dermaplaning services by an esthetician I loved it. Dermaplaning removes all that peach fuzz, surface debris, dead skin, really just gives my face a fresh renewed look feel.

My skin takes skincare better when I get dermaplaning done, it feels better smoother all around, and don’t even get me started on my makeup. That’s the icing on the cake! My makeup looks fabulous; I have such an even, clean, smooth fresh base to work on when there’s no peach fuzz.

You can’t see any fuzz in the direct sunlight either in photos. It’s completely normal to have that, but for my own satisfaction, and knowing the benefits of dermaplaning (I’m a licensed cosmetologist, I have basic knowledge in skincare background as well as doing personal research for my own interest.

) I wax my face, but dermaplaning in between those times helps, and since dermaplaning with an esthetician can be costly, these babies are a wonderful alternative. They do the exact same method as the tool estheticians use, but they are extremely cheap and really should be only used once then thrown away, since they dull out quick.

As long as you know what you’re doing and do your researching on it, you should be good. Prep the skin with a slick base, use the tool at an angle, hold skin taut, go downward rather than against it and be careful to not be harsh because there is always a chance of possibly cutting yourself (It happens though!).

Use small strokes.

[Review for Schick Hydro Silk Dermaplaning Wand] Honestly, it was my first experience with dermaplaning – and I didn’t expect to love it so much! It’s super easy to do, the whole process takes around 10-15 minutes and the result is amazing.

My skin is smooth, silky and glowing. I was afraid of having irritation or redness afterwards as my skin is kinda sensitive, but none of that happened. The instructions are very detailed and clear, the only thing is that they suggest using the tool on the dry skin, while I prefer to put some light toner or rose water to make it glide smoother.

You may apply some calming moisturizer afterwards, but avoid wearing makeup for 24h. You will be shocked how great your foundation looks the next day 🙂 I used it to shape my eyebrows as well. Overall, I am impressed and definitely recommend you try! P.

Weird to see bad reviews on this product. I’ve dermaplaned for many years -all the way back to the original tinkle razors (before they were taken over by cheap knock offs that are passed off as tickles now).

Now that you can find cheap dermaplaning razors everywhere, it’s hard to find any that won’t cut you up. They all have these terrible thin guard strips that end up bending and being very sharp. That’s where the real cuts and scratches come from; not the blade itself.

When you accidentally slice yourself, THAT’S from the blade and that is user error. I work at ulta and I noticed something in store- the 3packs have long guards where the 8 packs have very compact guards.

So I always make sure to buy the 8 packs. I wonder if the 3packs are what are cutting people. I’ve never had problems with the type I buy and I’m pretty quick and rough with them. So please try to get the 8 packs and pick them up during a sale.

I have always used a Gillette Venus Smooth Swirl razor and it works really well. The blades are carefully placed to stop you from getting nicks and cuts and having five blades really helps to make sure you get the smoothest shave.

The moisture ribbon is helpful if you run out of shaving gel and need a quick fix but does dry out after 2-3 uses. The flexiball isn’t really that flexible in my opinion but since the blades are so carefully placed in alignment with one another, it doesn’t usually cut you when shaving over the curves of your body.

The only times I ever tend to get nicks is if I accidentally press too hard when going over my knee but this is very rare. Using this razor, I only have to shave 1-2 times a week and almost never get ingrown hairs.

I think the price of a razor is quite high for what it is and how much the materials used to make it cost, but the handle lasts a long time and the blades last around a month for me.

I bought this razor after thinking it was a great idea to be able to get into all the knooks with the swizzle ball, and I usually find venus razors amazing, soft and silky on skin, which this also was, however i found it very difficult to use, the ball had a mind of its own, consistently missed hairs and cut me more than your cheap nasty razors.

I kelt using for a couple more months to use up the replacement heads i eagerly bought with the razor initially, thinking it may just be my cak handedness causing a problem and would get the knack of it soon, but i never got better at using the razor.

So even though my legs were silky smooth, there was a few rough hair patches, some that were missed every single time! And lots of scabs (which got itchy and turned into more scabs from my eczema) i really wouldnt recommend it.

The concept is great but the ball is too wobbly and still needs stiffer movements. If that was the case i think i would of had better luck.

This is without doubt the best razor I have ever used. I absolutely love this product!!!!.

As a rule of thumb, razors are becoming more expensive on the market. I have used Venus razors for as long as I’ve been shaving. The strip of moisture at the top and triple blade action is always a plus for me.

These disposable beauties are amazing. Not one nick in the skin while in use (providing you are being sensible with use) the handle has a proper grip and the head isn’t too large or cumbersome for intended use.

They’re just like the original Gillette Venus razors with interchangeable heads, only these have static heads. With 3 in a pack, they’re well worth the money and they last a long time. You’ll know when it’s time to replace, as the strip of moisture bar will whittle down eventually.

This moisture strip removes the need to use any extra shaving products with the razor. Travel sized and an all round winner in my eyes.

Wonderful razors! I have used the pink Venus disposable sensitive razors since they were released years ago but after they were recently changed I was no longer a fan of the sensitive disposable razors, so I when I found these and tried them I instantly fell in love.

They are exactly like the original pink sensitive disposable razors. Not only do I not get razor burn, but these razors last through multiple shaves. The only issue I have, which isn’t with the razors themselves but rather with the availability of them, because when I purchased these it said they were clearance pricing – so I hope they aren’t doing away with these razors too! If they do I’ll have to look for razors from a different brand because I’ve not been a fan of others from this brand.

I was a little skeptical about the Gillette Venus 5 Blade Razer & it’s claims of being Sensitive but I was pleasantly surprised at it’s performance. I was first impressed by it’s ergonomic, non slip handle & how nice it felt to grip, a decent sized handle for those with difficulty grabbing thinner handles, the handle of the Venus 5 Blade is really great to hold & feels secure in your hand, without the fear of it slipping.

I love the colour of the razer also, a nice fresh colour. The razer performed better than I expected. It was very smooth but light over the skin. I have a problematic area on my shins which I tend to avoid in fear of cutting myself, but I was so happy &pleasantly surprised when the Gillette Venus 5 Blade glided over this area, doing it’s job with a nick on my skin! I also found that it could handle multiple passes over the skin without clogging up & having to rinse at every pass! The blade rinses of very well, leaving nothing behind! Highly Recommended!.

This is the best razor I have ever used. It provides the smoothest shave and the razor lasts far longer than any razor I’ve ever used- including men’s razors- without irritation. I will never use a different razor.

First and foremost, the razor has five blades which is the best for getting the closest and smoothest shave. Secondly, the razor is made of metal which provides a great weight, its ergonomically designed the fit perfectly in your hand, and the razor pivots incredibly well to smoothly to shave around the knees, and bony body parts.

Third, the moisturizing pads around the razor stay “slimey” for a long time and provide the best moisture for shaving. Lastly, and possibly most importantly, although I don’t know how they do it, but this razor lasts forever! I’m still on my same razor after two weeks and I’ve shaved my lady area three times without irritation.

It’s magic! Any razor I’ve ever used previously on my pubic area has always had to have been the first shave of the razor blade and only once! I seriously don’t know what kind of technology they’ve designed for these razor blades but I am here for it & never going back! I have to put out a disclaimer: I only use Gillette products when I shave. I find them to be of higher quality: the razor blades last longer and they don’t cause bad razor burn. So you can imagine that I was definitely excited to try this razor.

This razor has some heft- the handle feels sturdy and well-made. Even though there are 5 blades, I was never in fear of knicks or cuts. It’s surrounded by a moisturizing bar (I think they call it skin elixir).

Older versions of the moisturizing bars were kind of clunky and didn’t evenly distribute the moisturizer, but this one they got right: perfect ratio of moisturizer to razor to skin. I have super sensitive skin, but I was able to get a close shave with no irritation.

The cool part is, outside of 2 exceptions, if for some reason you don’t like the disposable razor blade attachment, get a different Gillette branded razor attachment- the base fits most of them in the Gillette series.

I really love this razor and would suggest it to anybody, particularly for those with sensitive skin or first-time shavers!.

Ok! So nothing was really bad about this razor, some people said the ball would make it uncontrollable but i thought it was helpful! Now I will admit, that the handle if it gets wet it was slippery, it didnt fall out of my hands but i thought it would have.

Now i have been searching for my perfect razor and i dont think this is the best out there, but it did good! Now for the first time using it i did cut both of my knees, a little, but it didnt hurt and it vanished.

But yeah, I thought looking at other ratings, bad ones would make me not want to get it but i still did and it works good! But they’re reviews could be true, it really depends on your skin! But yeah i hope this is helpful for you!, trying to find a good razor!.

I’ve had this razor handle to a VERY long time. Like, I can’t even remember when I got it – possibly 10+ years ago? After years of accidentally dropping this thing, it finally broke the other week. I consider that a good return on my investment.

It’s easy to swap out the new razor heads and honestly I find they last a very long time (as in, I can’t remember the last time I changed the one I was most recently using and it was still going strong).

Not to mention this is a much better choice for the environment given that it’s reusable (as compared to the disposable options). I will be purchasing another without a doubt!.

First off I loved the packaging mostly recyclable. I was disappointed to open it an theres room for another cartridge but they only give you one. Now the shaver was a bit interesting with 5 blades it comes really close to the skin which I like.

There’s a tiny comb that guides the hair I also like this feature but it does graze the skin an can be made to feel like you have cut yourself. But during shaving I haven’t yet cut myself with this shaver.

The pivoting came in handy on the back of the legs going up the knee it’s made that a bit easier to twist. This shaver is great but I would also need a smaller one for bikini area as this one is quite bulky.

The soothing an aloe strip is must for me makes skin smooth an helps it glide way better. I do recommend people to try this shaver.

Lovely handle, Love that. But with my issue, all the work got out into the design of the handle. None of the work was put into the actual razor itself. Its nice they added a vitamin c touch. But its useless when the actual blade isnt really that good.

This is a product for women, and our bodies curve. So naturally womens razors move, bend, to fit with our curvature. No. The blade is frozen in place and ive knicked myself so many times, even with the razor being brand new.

So basically, this razor has good features but doesnt do the one job its supposed to do.

I don’t know what it is about these razors. Visually, they’re the same as so many other cheap disposable options. At 4 blades, they’re not even the most “advanced” in that way. I’ve been shaving my legs since I was 9.

I am now 22 and probably since I was about 14 I have not strayed from this style from this brand. These are the ONLY razors that have never given me razor burn or nicks and cuts, even in sensitive areas! Idk what witchcraft goes in to making these disposable cheapies, but they’re the only kind I will ever use.

I sent my dissatisfaction to Bic. I have for so many years used this razor. They’d last forever and I’d shave every day maybe even just 5 days a week. Then it seems this past year, after only using razor maybe 10 times or more I noticed that the razor wasnt doing a clean shave! I bought another few sets on sale to give it one more try.

Nope, the same. Might as well say it just glides over skin as blades are dull. All in all quality of these blades in razor are pathetic. Bic, I’m so upset with how bad the quality has gotten. I really loved not having to look at other brands to try.

I will be on the search. Perhaps generics of this have the better quality!.

Well decided to get this because it says it is good for tricky zones. I basically used the hydro silk 5 which was pretty good and easy to use. This came only with two blades. The hydro silk 5 came with more blades.

Overall it was easy to use. Definitely recommend it to anyone.

I get a really nice, super close shave from these razors. I usually use them with the Skintimate shave gel and have been very happy with the results. Superior quality as well. I have dropped these dozens of times in the shower and have never broken one.

I love this razor! It’s one of my favorites because it truly shaves close to the skin and hydrates at the same time! The serum leaves my skin feeling sooo soft after the slimmer design allows me to get close shaves when it comes to my underarms and bikini area.

It can be pricey but there’s usually coupons that you can find! Definitely a fave.

This is an excellent product! It’s great for sensitive skin, and you don’t have to press hard for it to work. I usually use my razor when I’m taking a shower. Its such a good product any kind of body soap will work.

New style is awful ! This new style with the metal at the edges is horrible , these are made terrible now. I get so many in grown hairs since they changed the way they make the razor and constantly end up with cuts when I never had that issue before with this brand ever which is why I bought it.

Since the change it’s nothing but issues so I am switching anc currently trying all other brands to find something else this one is horrible and I have tried all there options they changed them all.

Wow! Wasn’t expecting a disposable razor to give me such a close shave. Legs felt so smooth afterwards even before applying moisturiser and stayed smooth for a good few days. The tropical fragrance is nice but not overly sure what purpose it holds.

I’ve touch though. Lovely colours and made with 60% recycled material! Will definitely buy again!.

Recently started using this razor and currently liking it. I’ve had the razor for about 2 weeks and have not had a need to change the razor yet. I anticipate that I’ll be able to use the razor for about 4 weeks before having to switch it out.

The Venus smooth razor is easy to use and light weight. The handle is made out of plastic and about 1/3 of the handle is covered in rubber. The handle is shaped to allow the user versatility when holding it.

I loved how the shape of the razor allowed me to place my thumb on a groove where it wouldn’t slip. I did not like how round and wide the bottom of the razor was. The bottom of the razor felt a little awkward when I held it but I understand how others could find it convenient.

The blade it self cut very well and I was able to easy shave my armpits and legs. So.

Okay I won’t lie but I’m a wax addicted person meaning I used to avoid removing my body and bikini hairs using razor. But my best friend recommended me the Venus Gillette razor specially based on women needs.

My skin did not got black at all after removing with it. The blades are sharp and effective to remove hairs as well as it has holding panel which is too handy of razor. This razor has smooth gel rubber strips across blades which prevents skins from unnecessary scratches/cuts.

This is a really nice basic razor that has no soaps so it’s perfect for someone who is often allergic to the “soaps” that other razors have. You could also use any type of blades in this line that fit it so if one time you want to use one with soap or without you can.

I really like that it’s curved so it makes shaving your armpits and legs easier. I always have positive things to say about the Venus line as I’ve used it in the past. The blade shaved really nicely and I didn’t get any nicks especially since I just used water and no shave gel.

I would, however, suggest using some when shaving especially in sensitive areas. Overall, I would use the product again in the future.
