I’m a sucker for good design, and this is beautiful- sleek and modern. I keep my styling tools on the counter, and this lends some serious, understated sophistication to my vanity. The weight is beautifully light, much easier to hold in place than my wand.

Right away, the iron checks a major box for me- the power button is placed beneath the clip handle. I’m sure we can all relate to the inconveniently placed button that we hit midway through our styling, and wonder why our curls are getting looser, lol.

Press and hold to turn on, you will have both a bright tone and a light. The light ring will flash as it’s reaching temperature. When it’s ready to go, the light ring will turn solid, and a different set of tones will chime out.

Full disclosure, I hopped on the wand wagon a while ago and haven’t touched a clip iron since. To achieve the curls that work best for me takes some practice. But the lovely thing that I had forgotten about clip curlers is that they hold your hair in place, even that stubborn little tuft of hair that refuses to fall in line with the rest.

No more going back for stragglers. I have very long hair, and the barrel length is average. I’ve gotten exquisite curls, but mostly towards the ends. It may be a consideration for some. Overall, this has earned its spot in your tool kit.

In my experience with GHD products, it will last you a very long time.

I own a few ghd tools and the quality is always top notch (two of them are more than 10 years old and still work perfectly). This curling iron is no exception. The thing I like the most is, with no doubt, the clamp: zero snagging, my hair never gets stuck in there.

The coating of the barrel is incredibly smooth and helps a lot taming the frizz (this is important to me because I’ve bleached hair). It has a well-thought-out design: the stand is made of rubber which prevents the iron from sliding when you place it on the countertop in between sections and the power button is hidden under the clamp so it’s not in your way while using the tool.

I’ve heard people complaining about the fact there is no option to adjust the temperature of the tool but to me this is actually a good thing, I feel like ghd took out all the guesswork with just one optimal temperature.

Even if this iron is labeled for voluminous curls, I actually use it for soft beachy waves. The 1. 25″ barrel allows me to grab slightly larger sections and to do my full head in less than 15 minutes.

Last but not least, it has universal voltage for worldwide use and, speaking of travelling, ghd finally changed the plug. The bulky GFCI plug (the one with test/reset buttons) is gone! I’m so happy because this was the only thing I found really annoying in the past.

Now there is a standard small plug which is way more convenient when storing/packing the tool. As side note, the length of the barrel works well for long (mid-back) hair, but I secretly hope one day ghd will come up with a XL version for very long hair.

I was so excited to use curling iron, and even more excited as soon as I opened the box. You can see and feel the quality right away. I love the sleek, modern design, and how it’s lightweight, but still solid.

I’ve had irons before that were too light and would slide all over the counter when I put them down, but the Soft Curl has enough weight that it stays right where I put it. That’s really important because this iron heats up SUPER fast (which I love) and is very hot.

Any new tool takes a little time to get used to, and like I said, it heats up fast, so I definitely recommend practicing styling your hair with a cool iron before turning it on. Also, there’s just a little bit of texture to the barrel of the iron (which gives it a really nice matte look) but l also think it gives the barrel a little bit of grip while still allowing your hair to glide around the iron without any tugging or snagging.

And finally, the result. I got exactly what I wanted from this (perfectly named) iron. Big, beautiful, soft curls. I have thick, long hair and I was able to curl my whole head in less than 15 minutes.

I’m in love!.

I’m rating this purchase one star because the product has completely changed or the wrong product was shipped to me. I’ve been using Suavecito’s premium blends matte pomade for over 3 years and have always been more than satisfied.

I was running out, so I bought it again. However, when I received the product and used it a few times, it was obvious that the product was not the same. Instead, the product in the can has a different texture than all the other purchases I’ve made of this product.

Additionally, and worst of all, the product makes my hair look and feel greasy. I will need to find a new product.

TLDR: it’s just like a clay pomade I got this because I was intrigued by the hybrid nature- all day hold and reworkable. My experience is that it does neither. It is a matte finish, and goes in easy.

But the hold is far from all day and definitely not reworkable, for me at least. Hardly any scent and doesn’t wash out as easy as Suavecito Matte Pomade. In my opinion, you’re better off going for that or Byrd Matte Pomade or Layrites hair cream.

I love everything else Suavecito offers- used them for years. This one just isn’t doing it for me.

I love this. I really needed a new blow dryer and was SO happy to see the airwrap and a traditional blow dryer in one! Love that it came with a concentrated diffuser too. I have long hair so I have to do it in sections but again, for a fraction of the cost, I won’t complain.

PROS: – great long lasting curls (lasted 8+ hours for me) – takes my hair from wet to styled in 30 mins or less – WAY more affordable than the “other one” – traditional blow dryer structure – comes with concentrated and curly hair diffusers that the other one does not – comes with a lil finger glove to handle the hot attachments to switch out CONS: – because you have to hold up and angle down, it could get tiring on your shoulders – have to switch attachments to switch curl patterns Again, for a fraction of the cost, my cons have WAY less weight and are reasonable.

Would be AMAZING if Ion did some upgrades like: – longer curling barrels for longer hair – curling barrel that lets you switch curl direction instead of having two Super happy with my purchase, and highly recommend!.

I owned the not-to-be mentioned pricey version and ebayed it after four months because it was cubersome, complicated, and the results were meh. I also felt guilty I spent over $500 and days upon days of researching the correct way to get the flawless look i was promised.

I bought the ion luxe after seeing it on tik tok. I used it that night. It took 5 minutes to get my hair 85% dry and 20 minutes to get all the curls using the wands. It took a little getting used to but after i figured it out it was a breeze.

It’s day two and while they curls have softened a bit it still has a nice beachy wave vibe to it. The price point is perfect, the hair looks great and traveling with it will be a breeze. It does get hot! Use the finger pads.

10/10. Ordering two more as christmas gifts.

This is amazing for the price. I would say there is a learning curve when you first use it. I find you have to hold it at the angle your hair grows. Perpendicular when you get to the scalp. The rods do get really hot so use the glove.

I have long hair so I have to do a section in two sections. The suction power is not strong enough to hold all my hair. Would be nice to have longer rods. It’s not heavy at all though and I can say that my hair goes from soaking wet to dry and styled in 30 mins.

The ion tech is amazing bc I get my hair 80% in about 5-7 mins. I would say this is a great dupe, but if I had the funds, I’d probably get a Dyson since I feel like the suction is better on that one and the rods are better suited for longer hair.

It’s very moisturizing & a little goes a long way. No protein which is another plus as my hair does not do well with protein. I would recommend trying it to see if it works for your hair. It’s well priced & won’t break the bank so if it doesn’t work well you can give it to someone.

I purchased this for my husband when he ran out out beach clay and his brand had been discontinued. It was hard to replace. Pomade was too hard, gels too gooey, other brand clays were too shiny in his hair or not the right consistency, tending toward the hard pomade or sticky hair goo.

But this product is perfect. It’s matte in his hair, the perfect consistency to style with and while his hair isn’t stiff or crunchy or immovable, it goes right back in place after any disturbances (usually me playing with it.

XD). And the price is moderate. And it smells nice but not strong.

Love this product for giving my hair texture and some hold with very little shine; definitely a lighter holding power but more than enough to keep my hair in place all day long. To add a little bit of volume, I sprinkle in some American Crew Boost Powder before applying the Matte Clay.

I’d been waiting to get my hands on the Dyson Airwrap for a long time (think, years – since it first launched!) but was struggling to justify the price. Luckily I got some vouchers and got lucky finding it in stock, especially the new one.

I really wanted to love it especially after all the videos I watched online; but I must admit I am disappointed and definitely think it is overpriced for the functionality. A lot of people mention the steep learning curve but I would say I know how to use it effectively so my comments below are not a result of me not knowing how to use it.

Pros: It is very powerful so I can dry my hair really quickly, especially with the smoothing brush. No need to change barrels when you change sides. Love the smoothing brush and the round brush! Cons: Because of the lack of extreme heat, the hairstyles just don’t hold! Normally my hair holds a style extremely well and I don’t need to use much product or top up my styling daily, however with the Dyson, I find myself using it more often than I would another heat tool, which makes me wonder whether I’m actually now applying more heat to my hair? The curling barrels are not quick to use either.

I know the curls are supposed to drop out and give a more blown out look rather than a curly look but this is impossible without mousse and hairspray and as a result, it takes really long to style as you have to hold each section of hair for at least a minute.

I sometimes spend 30-40 minutes doing my hair only to have it all falls out and look like a mess within an hour. This has been my biggest frustration! I feel like I am wasting time rather than saving time overall, as the same style would have taken 15 mins with my curling wand or straightener.

I sometimes wash my hair at night but since this tool works best on damp hair I find that I have to style it before bed, which means I wake up with messy hair as it doesn’t hold overnight and have to start again in the morning, rather than get up and go.

I also think that there are too many attachments, for example, I never need to use the firm smoothing brush and the flyaway attachment does nothing for my frizz and flyaways. It would be better if you could customise your attachments to suit your hair type.

The storage box is also bulky and unnecessary. I would highly recommend trying this out at the store or borrowing a friends at least a couple of times before purchasing. While I love the technology behind it, don’t be fooled by the over marketing.

It’s a good tool, but definitely could be MUCH better considering how much it costs and the innovation behind it.

I’ve wanted this product since it first came out several years ago, but didn’t have the means to validate the purchase at that time. Now after years of saving, I was able to get the Dyson Airwrap as a Christmas present and since opening it on Christmas Day, I have been happy with the results.

Luckily thanks to the many reviews I watched on social media, I was prepared to understand the product can be a bit odd to use at first. They are not lying when they say there is a learning curb. I’m still working on mastering how to style with the product.

But after two days, my curls came out much better than yesterday. I’m still working on improving how to make the curls on the back of my head voluminous. The product isn’t going to make picture prefect hair in the first try, honestly its going to take several tries to get the results you want.

I’m plan on getting my curls right, before I try the other tools, since the curl attachments were the big selling point for me for getting this product. I know some reviewers have said the product doesn’t work for them, so I am including my hair type.

I have collarbone length, not thick hair, that holds a curl very well. I do want to say after two days, a family member who lives with me, loved the results of my curls, so we have just bought the 0.

8 curling attachments to try on her hair. We are hoping she gets the same amazing results since her hair type is similar to mine but she prefers tighter curls. Anyway if you have a similar hair type to me and you are thinking of trying the product, I highly recommend it.

I’m so glad after years of waiting, it was exactly what I wanted and it does work, you just need to keep practicing for better results. Also one last thing, if you want your curls to stay, use the proper hair products.

I use a foaming mousse and the curls last, without the proper products, your curls may fall out.

I purchased the Airwrap when it first came out, this is an updated review after using it for a few years now. I still would prefer a carrying case, albeit there is an expensive travel case that is now offered that gets so-so reviews.

The longer barrels that are available for purchase at additional cost are far better than the original size. Anyone with shoulder length hair or longer will greatly benefit with the longer barrels. The new small size brush is also an improvement to the original firm and smoothing brushes.

The smaller size make styling easier, lifting and smoothing can be done with better ease using the new smaller size. Those of us that purchased the original unit years ago are not only paying more for these improvements, the Dyson website charges shipping for attachments only.

There are other authorized retailers that don’t charge shipping. These new improved attachments really do improve the styling experience. I hope that Dyson eventually comes out with a new and improved round brush.

After all these years, I have learned how to use this expensive tool and appreciate it more and more. There is a learning curve and personally, I feel everyone has to play with this for some time to find out what works best for their hair type and style needs.

Due to the different type of drying function, I find the Airwrap makes hair soft, thin hair feels a bit thinner than using a standard blow dryer with a round brush. The Airwrap is just very different than the force you get with a standard blow dryer.

After all these years and the new improved attachment sizes, I definitely can achieve a salon style blowout much easier – but it sure took a learning curve and these new attachments. Dyson should really consider allowing new purchasers the option to select which attachments they want.

Dyson should definitely offer some new round brush attachments, please. its expensive, so if you are not willing to play with it and see what works for you – it is a waste of money. If you have the time and willing to put in the effort, you may learn to love it.

I feel anyone with lots of hair and thick hair will surely find it worth the investment. Lots of YouTube tutorial videos that are worth watching too. Definitely use product when using this, that is a must to get the curl to hold!.

I could not be happier with this iron! I’ve never seen one shaped like this and it is absolutely perfect for my hair. It creates the “bombshell” curls that I have been struggling to create since I started using irons.

first thing first is OMG this powder is a life changer!!!! all thru my high school,college years and even now I struggled with volume, due to having the thinnest hair on this planet!!! I lived off so many hair spray cans and I just thought well maybe I wont ever have full hair.

I would tease my hair and pack on the hairspray on a daily basis and lets just say that probably wasn’t he best for my hair. all in all I love this stuff so much because I just use very little of it and it gives wonderful results.

It looks like natural hair that has been blown out and flat ironed. Blends well with my relaxed hair-it’s the right thickness and texture. I barely have to flat iron my leave out. the hair is soft and holds curl.

I have a largish head and find many wigs uncomfortable after a few hours. Large wigs are too big. While I don’t normally gravitate towards straighter styles I love cameron. It’s extremely comfortable, and the hair moves beautifully.

It’s a put on and go wig, that looks great. I do use my thinning shears a bit around the front to add a few shorter hairs, but that is my preference, it isn’t needed. I have sleet and frost in the arctic colors and I really like the softer dark root instead of the amost black or warm tones so many have.

I wouldn’t say it runs big like a large wig, but if you struggle with tight in average this one is great. The Frost color is a very slight pink, sometimes more noticeable than not. Oh, and I LOVE that it isn’t too much hair.

I am new to wigs and wig wear. The Cameron came out of the box with a few unruly fly away hairs in front, and the bang continually falls into my face. I am trying to train it to stay back by putting it behind my ears and using a little water.

The hair density overall is realistic. The lace front is more sparse than expected. The hairs seem to tangle fairly easily, and I was a little surprised how readily the hairs snap off and curl up when combing the tangles, even though I thought I was handling it delicately, combing from the bottom up.

The 24BT18 is in the “blond” section, and described as dark natural ash blond and light golden blond blend with dark natural ash blond nape. I watched every YouTube video about this color, and always got the impression it was a bit lighter/more blond than it actually appears.

To me, it is a mostly brown wig. My natural hair is brown going grey, so it blends pretty well with the “sideburns” that stick out-which is what I was after. My head is at the small end of the spectrum with 21” circumference, and the cap fits a little loosely, with a little puffy room at the crown.

My natural hair is short and thin, so the extra room is not needed for bio-hair. I sewed 3 toupee clips into it and now it stays on well. The ordering and delivery were prompt and flawless. Overall I am pleased, and it is all that could be expected- 5-star.

My personal preferences would be that the color was more blond/lighter, that the bangs would stay out of my face, and that the hair would not tangle so easily.

This is my first heat friendly topper. I’ve always worn human hair toppers and I have a Jon Renau synthetic wavy one. I was looking for a more affordable solution to human hair especially with how difficult finding hair during the pandemic was! I don’t wear hair just to look better I have over all serious thinning and really need helper hair.

I’m definitely a candidate for a wig but I’m holding out as long as I can with toppers. I do have to tape my toppers because I don’t have enough hair for clips to be comfortable. This topper is good for adhesives.

I gave this topper 4 stars only because I haven’t washed or curled it yet. It was really nice right out of the box. I am 60 so I don’t like too much hair and get tired of having to thin out the toppers I get.

That wasn’t necessary with this one at all. It’s dense enough for good overall coverage, especially in the back which is sometimes a problem with other toppers, without being too thick. No permatease which is great for me, I don’t like that stuff! The color I have is a great medium brown 8/30 Cocoa Twist.

The fibers look very natural and don’t seem to tangle like my one synthetic does. I like the cap size and the mono top is nice, light, and cool. If I like this one after washing and styling, I’m planning to get a second one.

I do love Olaplex products and my stylist uses Olaplex #1 and #2 every time he bleaches my hair, but I can’t continue using the oil (#7) from this kit. Be forewarned, if you bleach your hair to platinum blonde or lighter, this oil may show in your hair.

#7 is a dark yellow color and it definitely shows in my hair. Makes it look ugly and brassy. My hair is bleached to white so that it can be dyed pastel pink and unfortunately the #7 oil shows up. The oil smells great and leaves my hair really soft and shiny.

I hate that I can’t use it. I love the #6 in the kit and will keep using it, but I gave the #7 to a brunette friend.

A good set from olaplex with some of their best products. I think that olaplex is an amazing haircare brand that strenghtens the hair beautifully. Here you get a full No6 that I usually mix with the No7 (which is the loveliest product and hair oil ever! my favourite!!!) and apply to my hair to style it.

No7 has heat protective properties too! These products will last you for a lifetime and you only need a small amount of them.

I’ve been using Olaplex products religiously for the last 2 years. Number 6 is my absolute favourite product. It makes my very fine, bleached hair easy to brush and very healthy. Number 7 is perfect finisher, making my hair smooth and glossy without being greasy.

I tried using dupes for these products and nothing compares. I may just order another box since this is such a great deal.
