Hair oil for wavy hair is a product that can help to tame frizz, add shine, and protect against damage. It can be applied to damp or dry hair, and is typically used before styling. There are many different types of hair oil, and the best one for you will depend on your hair type and the desired results.
Infused with oil from the Mongongo Nut and blended with Coconut, American Palm Seed Oil, and Broccoli Seed Oil, this fast absorbing liquid gold elixir delivers intense hydration to all curl types as it nourishes, restores natural luster, and protects against damage from heat styling and UV rays.
Curls are soft, manageable, frizz-free, and illuminated with healthy shine.
I should start by saying that I have fine hair with a very loose, wavy curl pattern. Despite that, my hair is extremely dry and in constant need of hydration. This oil is a super-hydrating oil, which I need; however, if I spray this on my ends wet or dry hair as directed and then style, I often have “oily” patches or hair that is weighed down and limp.
What I have started doing is using it as a pre-wash conditioning treatment, and oh my goodness it has made all the difference! I spray in 5-6 spritzes all over my hair (shoulder length) and work through with my fingers.
(It’s pretty oily and saturated at this point. ) I give myself a quick scalp massage and then comb everything through one more time. Sometimes I wrap my hair in a warm towel but sometimes I don’t. but I do wait 20 minutes to let my hair drink in the oil.
Then it’s into the shower to wash my hair and condition it, as usual. Before drying my hair, whether I let it do it’s sort-of-curly-but-not-like-it-used-to-be thing (hello aging. ) or blow it dry straight, I add just one spritz of oil to my palm and work it gently through the ends and only the ends.
Apply styling products as usual and style. My hair is crazy soft. My ends are not dry and frazzled. And most importantly, it’s not weighed down or oily at all! This whole process takes about an hour, including the pre-shower treatment, so it’s not something I do every time I wash my hair (which is only twice a week as it is).
I do this once a week in the winter (usually my Monday morning wash) and once every other week in the warmer months. As for cost, yes, it is a higher price point product, but I’ve had the same bottle for almost a year and I am finally to the point where I need to re-order.
I think that’s a pretty good deal if you amortize the cost over 12 months (yes, I am an accountant).
I tried it tonight for the first time. I have fine curly hair lots of it. I put 3 sprays into my palm rubbed them together then put it on the ends which are really dry. At first it did nothing in fact I was upset and wanted to wash it out.
Then my toddler woke up from his nap. I forgot about it for about 20 minutes. Then something magical happened lol. My curls were shiny bouncy and more defined. I guess it needs to sit and penetrate into the hair.
I’m glad I waited and didn’t wash it out. It’s really good!.
The best thing I can say about this product is that I don’t think it damaged my hair. But it definitely didn’t make any positive contributions. I have very curly hair and tried this product as a leave-in condition, as a refresher, and as a heat protectant.
I did not notice any impact in the overall condition of my hair when the product was used as a leave-in. Perhaps my other hair care products are really good and so this did not add value above and beyond, but it certainly did not appear to add to the condition of my hair.
The product was completely ineffective as a refresher. It did not reduce frizz or help control or tame my curls. The product was also completely ineffective as a heat protectant. My hair was much dryer and had less moisture when I blow dried it after applying this product than when I let it air dry.
I could not tell that it did anything to protect my hair from the heat. Very disappointing performance, especially considering the price point. I used my Ulta Reward points to try this product so at least I’m not out any money, but sad that I don’t have those points to spend on something else.

This product was recommended by an Ulta consultant. I like to have my long hair (about eight inches past my shoulders) smooth and straight. It is like hay and very frizzy even when it’s not humid. When I worked in Florida and other parts of the south and lived on the coast in California I never found a product that would tame my hair.
This product works for me. I have used it during the Arizona monsoons, on a boat excursion in San Francisco and in Ft. Bragg where it is very humid and damp. I don’t use it per the instructions on the container.
I wash my hair, blow it out with a brush (at this point it is still very frizzy), then use a flat iron (before the humidity gets to it, this is what it should look like), then I immediately spray some in my hands and run them through my hair (don’t use so much that it dampens the hair).
Optionally I use a curling iron on the top most layers to give it a dressier look. I sometimes use hairspray to hold the curls in place. When I comb out the hairspray it stays smooth. Then my hair is never frizzy until I wash it two or three days later.
Ive been coloring my natural blond hair every color of the rainbow for the past 20years. I also use a nice $200+flat iron to straighten the waves. So my hair is already prone to frizz, and the damage from the dye & heat doesn’t help.
After I get my hair straight, it’s still puffy and doesn’t look good. I put a pump of this on my hands and fingercomb it thru the bottom half of my hair haphazardly and VOILA! I instantly have sleek piecey styled hair.
ALL other oils or serums I’ve tried have been too heavy, or caused all of my hair to be greasy by the next day. This is the absolute perfect formula for my white girl hair and worth every penny. I’ve tried SOOOO many other products, save yourself some money and just buy this now.
It’s the first hair product I bought a second bottle of. EVER. Love love love.
I went in looking for something to tame the static in my hair now that we are in the midst of the cold/dry winter. The associate recommended using this lightly. Since I find sprays usually apply too much, I sprayed it in the palm of my hand and worked it from the middle of my hair to the ends.
It temporarily gets rid of the static. I need to apply it multiple times throughout the day. It appears to be water based, didn’t leave my hair feeling oily or sticky stiff. I’ve only used it on dry hair, not sure what effect it would have on wet hair.
Because my hair is dry, I wash it every third or fourth day – I didn’t feel any build-up. Yes, it is pricey but will probably last a long time even on my hair that is below the middle of my back. The sales associate seemed very knowledgeable about hair and makeup products.
Powered with onion black seed oil blended with almond, castor, jojoba, olive & coconut oils Helps to increase shine of the hair lock in the moisture, detangle and loosen the tangled ends of hair Non sticky and non greasy hair oil for silkier & stronger hair It can also be used on any type of scalp.
Amazing experience using wow product. Like mask shampoo and charcoal facewash too. I ordered one more after finishing it. Thats was great experience using wow product. And yes also they send me cute lil packet that is Spinach seeds after seeing this im impressed. All products was camical free and naturally.
so without any hesitation just go for it. Personally i love it and preferred my friends too. To purchase this wow product.
I’m on the brink of 50 and this year I realized my hair was not only brittle and burnt but its also thinning and falling out. I’ve always used box dye to manage my coarse gray and decided to grow the gray out this year.
The downside is having unruly, frizzy hair. I heard good things about WOW Science but it seemed almost to good to be true. My box came today and I immediately used the Onion Black Seed Hair Oil. I had no idea what I was doing but squeezed some drops on my hands and rubbed it as well as I could into my scalp and through my ends.
I wrapped my head and waited for my miracle. 2 hours later I used the coconut shampoo and conditioner. As I blew my hair out I couldn’t believe how soft my hair was. The volume was amazing! I just knew it was going to be weighted down but it was full and voluminous.
I felt like Farrah Fawcett in the 70s! The gray roots are as soft as the ends. I can’t speak to fall out yet but I will come back and let you know! For now, I’m tickled pink my unruly gray hair is soft and manageable!.
My hair is stronger, longer, healthier, is thicker and the best part of it is that your Red Onion Black Seed oil is helping my scalp! I have a condition called Allow this due to seizures and migraines, and sometimes my scalp burns and hurts so much that I can’t touch it or brush my hair.
When I read that it could help with inflammation I bought the oil and tried it, not expecting much, but was stunned after the first use I got days of pain free scalp! I was skeptical, so I’ve used it before every shampoo, about every 3-4 days and following each oil treatment my scalp has been pain free for days! You have no idea how much this means to a chronic migraine sufferer! Anything that causes less pain is a miracle in my eyes! So now I’ve invested in the Red Onion shampoo and conditioner and I’m so happy! Thank you so much! And I’ve already told my friends on my migraine support group! I love your products! God bless you!.
Rizos Curls Nourish Oil for Hair, Scalp & Body is made with 100% pure essential oils that will deeply nourish, moisturize & minimize frizz for visibly healthier looking hair, scalp & skin. This is a lightweight oil that quickly absorbs & penetrates.
This product is amazing for my skin! I use it on my arms, shoulder, and chest. I love how my skin looks after using it and the smell! But it does nothing for my hair. It doesn’t make my hair dry but I don’t see any benefits.
I’ve tried using it on my scalp too and it just made it itchy with no benefits. So while I love it on my skin I wouldn’t repurchase it because of the price point. I can get similar results from cheaper body oils.
I know my hair needs some oil for it to be shiny and retain some moisture throughout the day. But it’s been trial and error over the years finding the right type of oil that won’t weigh my hair down.
This oil is SO light yet also VERY effective. I don’t use it all the time, only on wash days after I use the curl cream I do one or two vials of the oil and it’s been great for my hair. My hair is typically on the dryer side and it works well for my type of curl.
Man what can I say? This oil is super light weight, adds shine, smells incredible, redefines my curls and calms down my frizz! I’ve used a couple other oils but they’ve all been too heavy for my hair and not moisturizing like this one is.
A truly nourishing hair oil without silicones fortified with fruit oils of Tangerine, Papaya, Avocado and Watermelon, helping your curls retain moisture, whilst enveloping each strand in an invisible, non-greasy, protective layer.
It leaves curls feeling softer and shiny while giving off the sweetest, invigorating scent found in no other hair product. This concentrated blend is made with African Saharan plant oils of Jojoba, Kalahari, Crambe and Baobab, prized for their antioxidant richness and UV-protective properties to restore hair’s natural sheen.
2c-3a/b hair. I saw good reviews, and was running low on moroccanoil light for my hair. I figured I’d try this. Let’s start with the smell-not at all as expected and anticipated based on reviews and description.
It’s got a faint citrus scent, but overall smells musty and stale, and the smell doesn’t sit well with me. It doesn’t smell sweet to me at all-even the orange scent smells old and rancid. Maybe bottle I received is rancid-who knows! I really cannot stand the scent, and misted perfume to cover the smell of it on my hair.
The viscosity of the oil is fine-it’s not super thick and not too watery. I had purchased this for SOTC only. I keep thinking maybe I’ll change my mind about this, but I haven’t and the experience of using it sucks.
Over and over again. I won’t bother to drive to my local store to return it, so I use copious amounts of it now as a pre-poo, cover with a disposable cap, and then wash it all out 🙂 I don’t like throwing money down the drain, figuratively or literally, so I’m at least gonna get through the bottle via the pre-pop method.
I cannot recommend this product. I will not be purchasing this again. Ever.
This oil is a lot heavier than I was expecting. A tiny amount goes a long way. I got it to scrunch out the crunch on my medium thick, high density 2c waves. Tbh every time I use it I feel it’s a little on the heavy side for my hair, so I’m extremely careful to disperse on my hands first and then just to skim it over my strands and scrunch on my ends very lightly.
It smells amazing – if you love citrus like I do – but the scent doesn’t linger too long and the shine it creates is next level. I’d recommend but only to someone who doesn’t have super fine hair.
I cant believe how well this works! I have mid back length, colored, 3B/C hair that is EXTREMELY frizzy with normal porosity. I rarely wear my hair curly, so my styling products are extremely important for me to achieve the smooth look I desire.
I abuse my hair; I flat iron and heat style daily, and because it’s so curly, my hair is naturally dull looking and the ends always appear fried. Oils are an important part of my styling routine to add moisture, cut the frizz and impart some shine.
One day I absolutely soaked my hair in this oil, from mid lengths to ends, putting a drop on my fingers and pulling it through section by section. and OMG! It looked a little greasy for a few minutes, but my hair just soaked it up, leaving me a shine and smoothness I can’t remember since getting Brazilian Blowout or other keratin smoothing treatments.
It didn’t weigh my hair down at all! I was just left with flowing loose waves (the desired look) and the drier ends seem to just fuse together. It takes so little product, only a few drops for all my long, thick curly hair.
I had been struggling to find an oil that would work. Most would seem effective for a few hours, then my hair would frizz and puff up again so that is what I had come to expect. Yet this lasted a few days until the next shampoo.
I cocktail so many products in an effort to achieve the look I want and no one product ever made as much of a difference. I have a virtual beauty supply for a bathroom, yet I can honestly say this is a standout! And I love that it’s only made with natural source oils and none of the yucky stuff.
Instead of just coating hair, Playa’s clever Ritual Hair Oil penetrates to heal damaged and brittle strands with its hard-working formula of essential nutrients like vitamins E and K, fruit and plant oils as well as lycopene.
Kukui, apricot and coconut oils effectively balance and restore moisture to parted hair while also softening brittle strands. California sunflower oil tames frizz and replenishes lost lustre for enviable shine and finally, lycopene (a natural UV protectant extracted from tomatoes) protects have from sun and environmental damage while you play in the sun.
Designed to align with the curly girl method, Curlsmith’s innovative Bonding Oil helps to seal down hair cuticles to create the look of defined curls, coils and waves. Formed with 99% natural ingredients, the unique hair oil is lighter than raw oils so that hair looks silky-smooth while still appearing weightless and bouncy.
The brand’s exclusive Plantsilk complex works alongside apricot kernel and sea buckthorn oil to hydrate strands with long-lasting moisture. Castor seeds help to smooth down hair cuticles to create the illusion of stronger, revitalised curls.
The plant-powered hair oil performs a hair-softening effect while lending a high-shine finish. Vegan.
I’d like to rate this a 3, but a few pluses notch it up to 4. I think this can be good for the right hair strand thickness. I have mostly 2B waves with 2C on my underside layers and a few struggling 3A curls sporadically through my hair.
My hair is also extremely fine, naturally blonde, and I live in Central Florida. Humidity control is real and I like to use oils in conjunction with other styling products to help control frizz and lock in moisture when other methods fail and also to use overnight to moisture.
A product for me also cannot show cast or do anything that’s going to alter my natural color. There are definite pros and cons to this product. As far as curl bonding, its too heavy for my hair type and dragged down my curls.
I think its probably better for 3B and up hair or 3A medium thickness hair and up. If you have super fine strands forget it. It did however add a good amount of volume, frizz control and a ridiculous amount of shine to the point of Hollywood starlet vibes.
My hair also felt extremely soft after wash day. You need hardly any product to apply but you do need to section your hair well for product application because of the dry time. A bottle will probably last quite some time for most people.
I didn’t mind the scent; it dissipated rather quickly and wasn’t overpowering. Which as a migraine sufferer is huge. While I love the glow this gives my hair and the frizz control it’s not helping my wave definition which is something I need.
I’m still deciding if I’m keeping this product or not. For the cost I think I’m going to return it but I love the shine vibes and frizz control so it may just stay as an occasional night product.
I love just about every Curlsmith product. And have almost every product from their line in my bathroom cabinet to prove it! My hair is usually protein sensitive despite being bleached and dyed. Usually protein rich products make my curls limp and gummy feeling to the touch.
I accidentally purchased this oil instead of their shine oil but figured I’d give it a shot. I was pleasantly surprised! The scent is heavenly without being over powering and using this oil as directed on wash day (after diffusing my hair completely dry) made such a huge difference in my curls! My curls maintained their pattern and shape while being super hydrated! I also noticed my frizz level was way better with this oil! My only complaint is the dispenser.
No matter the angle I use it at, oil leaks out of the side. I’m going to just empty out the oil into an amber vial and use it from there. I still recommend this product to all curly girls! I just wish the packaging was better!.
This is no slight on Curlsmiths, which I love, but I’m so confused by this oil. The reviews I read were amazing, but it leaves my hair limp, frizzy and dry. Am I using it wrong? I have thin, frizzy, blonde wavy-ish hair.
I’m at the beginning of my curl journey so still learning. some days I’m getting nice curls, but most of the time there’s some curl going on underneath and a layer of frizzy nightmares over the top! I don’t normally post reviews, but thought if someone else was also learning, this might be helpful.
I followed the guide and used one pump of oil per section. The next day I looked ridiculous! My hair was gross, limp and oily, yet dry. I then tried just one pump for the whole head after gel, but it still made the hair look greasy/oily and dry.
I had no clumps and the ends went frizzy. Next I let my hair dry without a microfibre towel so it had big clumps (for me!), used gel and then the TINIEST bit of oil. It was ok and I had nice curls for maybe two days.
It was probably more down to the drying technique and a small amount of leave in conditioner though as it was hardly any oil. So I’d say if you have hair like mine, try a sample of this first. I think a cream might be better for us than an oil.
Or am I using this wrong??? If you have hair like mine, the conditioning shampoo and leave in light weight conditioner are great. I’ve also started using the bond salve, which is lovely. I’m open to recommendations of other Curlsmith products I should use.

I absolutely love this oil! The texture is light, the smell is amazing, and the performance is on point. I have long thick hair with a natural wave and usually pro-wave products like this don’t do much for me.
But I needed a new oil and it this as well as the leave-in were on sale so I figured I’d give them a try. I’m beyond glad I did because using this in combination with the LP Curl Enhancer has made my waves tighter, softer, and more defined than ever before.
In terms of process I work 5 pumps of the refiner through damp hair and scrunch until it looks like I want it to. I then go in and repeat the process with 3 pumps of the oil. On non-wash days I dampen my hair with water and then work 3 pumps of each through.
I can’t promise this will work for you, but I recommend giving the pair a try because if they do it will make your hair soft, shiny, and mermaid pretty.
I REALLY wanted to love this line, especially after purchasing almost the entire line after reading some reviews. My initial response was good, I feels as if all the products in the line worked great for my curly but fine hair…for about 3 weeks.
Then, it just wasn’t the same. I don’t know if I wasn’t using them correctly, or? I just became less impressed with the whole line over-time, and more so annoyed! The best products in the line are the moisture oil and curl defining cream.
I have 3a/3b chronically frizzy hair and I haven’t had much success using hair oils. I’ve tried numerous types, be it formulated products (which tend to just leave my hair feeling more brittle over time) or pure coconut, almond, olive, or grapeseed oil which often leave my hair feeling coated but dry (with the exception of argan oil).
This Living proof shine oil though has become a staple in my haircare routine post-shower because it is one of the only oils that locks in moisture well and makes my hair strands actually feel softer with a smoother, less frizzy curl pattern.
The fragrance smells really nice to me, and is a mild to moderately strong florally/fruity scent that isn’t overpowering. Love that the packaging isn’t messy either.

TraduciMostra in lingua originaleThis review is my experience yours may vary. I’ve been using this oil for my LOC method. I decided to switch up from using Melanin oil(which I still use for my prepoo) I needed something a little heavier.
What made me fall in love this product was today my scalp was on fire after applying Camille Rose growth serum. I used the blueberry bliss oil and baby it calmed the storm. I still support Camille Rose because I use other products from her lines and have no issues just to be clear.
But, if you have the same issue this product may work better for your scalp issue.
TraduciMostra in lingua originaleMy favorite hair oil hands down! The smell is amazing and it leaves my hair super shiny and soft! It’s not super heavy but it’s not too light either. A perfect happy medium.
I use it when styling my hair and I also use it when deep conditioning as well! I even like to use it on my scalp for my daily massages! I would definitely add this to my holy grail product list! Below I have a photo of my hair with deep conditioner and the oil on top.
TraduciMostra in lingua originaleI have tried a lot of different methods to get my hair to grow but this curls hair growth oil is the first thing I can say has really helped. After some terrible braids, I had some thinning.
I tried many things including castor oil. Nothing worked. But this oil! Within a month I saw new growth and 2 months later, my growth is much fuller and healthier. The oil smells nice and its light. I think that was the key, lighter oil and rubbing in twice a day.
Made with West African baobab, monoi flower, castor and argan oils, our Curl Hydrating Oil replenishes hair’s protective layer, softens even the driest curls and revitalizes damaged hair. For all curl types.
No sulfates, parabens, phthalates, silicones, mineral oil, artificial color or synthetic fragrance. Cruelty-free.
This oil is now my go-to “base” hair treatment. Before I use any other product on wash days, I use about 6 sprays of this oil, massaging into my scalp and working through the length of my hair all the way to the ends.
I have mid-back length fine, dense 3-A curls that are prone to frizz, and dry on the ends so I add more oil on the ends. The amazing thing is this oil is lightweight but it actually works! It soaks in very quickly and doesn’t leave a residue – it feels like it penetrates the hair vs sitting on top of the cuticle.
I’ve noticed a positive change in my scalp health since starting to use this oil on my scalp and not just my hair. Think of this oil as a hair serum, it’s the base of your product routine. After the oil I use whatever other styling products in my routine and these days I just air dry.
I also massage any remaining oil on my palms into my hands and cuticles, it literally absorbs in 2 seconds and hydrates my cuticles and nails. So far I’ve never felt like I applied too much oil – it is never greasy or heavy.
If this oil came in a 50 gallon barrel I would hop into the barrel and submerge my entire body to get every inch of my body covered in the goodness.
I use this on relaxed hair. After I shampoo my hair and rinse, I spray some of the oil onto my hair. Then I immediately add my hair mask. After sitting for about 20 minutes with the hair mask, I rinse my hair and proceed with my routine for drying my hair.
It’s great for edges…for that, I spray a little onto the back of my hand and then apply to my edges.
This oil smells so good! It has a light scent that isn’t overpowering. It worked really well to remove the cast from the gel I used. It made my hair so soft without weighing it down. My curls were still bouncy and had a lot of shine.
I also like that it’s in a spray bottle because I was able to get better distribution throughout my hair. A little goes a long way which is also good for my wallet.

My hair has a curl when it’s wet but seems to weigh down once it dry and combed out. I decided to try this curl activator. I have a lot of hair and had to use a good amount on the pump. I placed it on wet hair.
When it was dry I noticed the curls stay more defined and bunched together rather then a mess it is without it. I made sure I did not comb much to keep some of the wave. However, with some brushing It does weaken the curl.
The smell is decent and not overpowering nor is it too much like a chemical scent. There are some brands that can make me sneeze but not the AU 2nd Day curl activation. My hair also feels smooth after use but one should gage how much is good for their hair.
Overuse can leave a sticky film. This is a good curl activator but it’s not long lasting if you have heavy hair. It worked for my hair to about the earlier part of the day. I have not paired other hair products with this to see if the curls with be sustained for a longer time.
Overall this product works for the majority of they day and is worth a try.
I wish Aussie would specify that this product is for African-American, or natural hair that is 3c to 4c in texture. This is an amazing and affordable product for the right hair textures. Unfortunately, there are bad reviews from people with hair textures that this product is not best intended for.
I usually look for products for my hair that specify they are intended for African American hair. I somehow stumbled upon this product and I fell in love! It smells great, is inexpensive, and usually easy to find in plenty of retailers.
I am a huge fan! I use this product on my wet 4b hair and let it dry naturally for curly wash and wear. I will place this product on my daughters 3c hair while wet and blow dry straight. It is shiny and moisturized without being greasy, flakey or drying.
I love all Aussie products! They really focus on providing products that meet specific hair needs. I have dry hair that is long and naturally curly. I love my curls, but I hate frizz! I find the way to keep my hair frizz free is to use products that are targeted toward preventing that.
Aussie Miracle Curls 2nd Day Curl Activator works exceptionally well on curly hair. It’s so easy to use and yields beautiful, frizz free curls that last all day long. Simply spray your dry hair, run your fingers through it, and then scrunch.
Your curls will feel soft, moisturized, and have a lovely scent too. The ingredients are excellent, and this is a must have for us curly girls! It also works really well when on vacation. You can skip that shampoo and just spray your hair and have fresh beautiful curls!.

MINERAL OIL. Not only is mineral oil bad for hair, it’s also bad for your scalp as it creates product buildup on the scalp and makes it hard for the hair care products to penetrate into the scalp. Most often, this excess buildup can lead to itching, eczema flares and rashes.
I live by this oil!!!! I use to have HORRIBLE huge flakes (dandruff) sooo bad that if I scratch my hair its all over my shirt. I tried this oil once and it helped my flakes soooo much! I dont even see flakes anymore!! I love this oil and it helps my hair grow!! It’s amazing!! The best oil ive ever used!! [brand:jamaican-mango-lime].
I just started learning about Moringa and when I seen this oil i had to try it. This oilvsmellsvso good. Iys light weight. It adds a nice shine to the hair. And if your strandsvare dry, this oil will hydrate your hair for sure.
I live how it absorbs on my hands and make my hands feel extra smoorh.
DevaCurl High Shine Multi-Benefit Hair Oil – 50ml This shine-enhancing, frizz-fighting gem is specially formulated for curls! The big difference? It’s a lightweight, silicone-free blend of five curl-loving oils that also adds moisture while fighting frizz and turning up the shine.
High Shine is made with a silicone-free blend of five natural oils that won’t weigh curls down. High Shine has a babassu and pequi oil scent with notes of coconut that is warm and luxurious. How To If your curls are fine to medium, spritz High Shine into hands first, rub between your palms and smooth or scrunch into your curls to seal in shine.
Focus on the ends which tend to be the driest. If your hair is thick, extend arm outward and spritz all over for even distribution. Gently smooth curls with fingers to seal in shine Use on wet or dry hair or cocktail with your favorite stylers.
I received sample size from Ulta with purchase of products. I have medium curly hair that is fine and tangles easily. My ends start to dry out, normally I apply my facial marula oil to end of hair and that works.
I was thrilled to try this product. I love the spray bottle for ease of application. I think this would work great for thicker hair. For my thin fine hair just one spray did my ends and up the sides.
This smells AMAZING! Nice coconut and something else. A little goes a long way. It tames my flyaways, and really brightens my gray hairs. I have brown red hair with gray streaks. It provides shine, but nothing for the tangles in my hair, but product does what it says it does.
gives shine. It is but pricey for me. I like the product, but won’t purchase because my marula oil works for me. Pro: smells amazing Con: bit pricy.
This stuff is AMAZING! The moment I sprayed it on, my frizz was instantaneously gone!!! That’s a miracle in a bottle! The shine is so bright but the control is what makes this a keeper. I wish it had a more pleasant scent…it’s not bad or off-putting, but it’d be nice with a candy or floral aroma.
I have 2b type hair down to my butt so I don’t want big volume, I want tamed tresses. I got this sample size from a nice lady on EBay so I’m gonna go online and try to score a full sized bottle.
I bought a bunch of stuff at Ulta and I got some trial sizes free, this was one of the free trials. Unless you have thick curly hair I recommend using this. Sparingly. I have tried some Alternatives which I happen to like better.
But if I’m blow drying or straightening my hair. This is imperative.

IšverstiShow in original languageI purchased this oil at the beginning of 2020 and still have about a third of it left so right off the bat, this oil lasts because a tiny pump goes a long way! I’ve got pretty thick and frizzy hair so I only use this after I’ve styled my hair and typically the first product before any hairsprays.
I do see a big difference in shine after using it and only ever use it after a fresh style (not typically after 2nd day hair). After I finish this bottle, I know I’m going to be repurchasing it. However, my only cons are that it’s pricey (but again, it lasts so long!) and the smell isn’t the most appealing.
While I’d rather have an unscented oil, this kind of smells like french fries. But, I have learned to look past the strange odor because of the consistency it’s shown thus far.
IšverstiShow in original languageI’m honestly confused why other reviewers complained of the smell. It has a light floral scent. It is not medicinal, olive-oily or putrid at all. It literally smells like a bed of flowers! I used a small pump from mid-length to ends and found that it reduced frizz and enhanced shine.
I don’t think this is for thin, straight hair. I’m wondering if there is some storage issue with Sephora that is causing this hair oil to go rancid. I actually purchased this oil (and other Rahua products) through Rahua directly (10% off on their website) and it was a seamless transaction.
FYI, I’ve purchased the Dyson Airwrap through Sephora that didn’t work properly (like the plug would fly off of the wall after using it for 10 seconds). I contacted Dyson directly who immediately sent me a new one and it works perfectly.
They suspected that Sephora was keeping their devices in a storage unit with improper temperature (something about the winters would drop to severely low temperatures and mess with the electric connection).
I highly recommend you purchase through Rahua directly if you’re interested in trying this product. I was honestly scared when I saw these 1 star reviews but I’m glad that I got it directly through them.
IšverstiShow in original languageI honestly don’t know why this has such a low rating, but I’m all for trying it on my own and see whether or not if it work for me. And it does. First out of all, do you know how hard it is to find silicon free hair product? And yes, most of the hair oil on market has silicon if not more than one type of silicon.
I’ve own ALOT of hair oil, from olaplex, kerastase, oribe, morocco oil and even sisley. They all contain silicon and yeah sure it works nice and smooth but that’s what silicon is for. Now most of them use water soluble silicon which makes it less harmful but I’ve just been really trying to stay away from silicon in hair care.
I have colored/bleached, fine long hair. I used three pumps of this on my ends and did not look like my hair was washed with olive oil. And I used a hair mask beforehand as well. Perhaps people are not warming the oil, I don’t know.
But I really love how natural and silicon free this product is. I feel safe for my hair to use this. I wish more company that does ‘clean beauty’ concept can actually be CLEAN rather than gimmicks. Also I love Rahua’s shampoo and conditioner as well.
Especially the conditioner, smooth out my hair so well and surprisingly is silicon free.

The hair oil is great. I have twin daughters and this product line is all I use. It doesn’t take much, I use a little bit to oil their scalp. I use the the whole childrens product line. I also use the loc line for me and my sons locs.
It’s a part of our everyday haircare routine. Listen to me when I say try this. I’ve tried so many different hair products on my twins hair that it was being stressful. But once I tried these products, that was it.
It was a hit, because my girls have totally different hair textures. One is fine and Curley and her other is thick and coarse. But believe it or not, these products work on both. I love. You won’t be disappointed.
This saves my life. My baby girl (19 months) have a lot of hair, thick and very dry. I’ve tried so many products and even cried because I couldn’t find the right product to get her hair shine and moist.
She would itch her hair frequently throughout the day especially when I apply hair grease. I’ve seek YouTube channels etc. and when I do her hair, she screams so loud, I know my neighbors can hear. Thanks to the reviews, got my orders today and did her hair this evening.
All I can say is that I’m truly amazed, I even sent a video to my husband. Within minutes, he told me please order more. Oh my, I’ve suffered a lot. Thank you for the children products. I used the detangler spray, the oil, and the comb out.
No screaming, no moving. Instead she fell asleep in my arms while I was braiding her hair. Oh one last thing why I’m amazed, the products are light, not too heavy and just right. Okay I’m done. Thank you so much.
I can’t even give a good review because I never received my products. And I’m looking forward to trying it out because I heard they were good. But I’ve emailed the company twice and I still didn’t get a response I’m very disappointed I ordered my Items on April 13th and today is April 28 and nothing.
Hopefully I can get through to someone with this review. Thank you.

Reviews From Real Customers
This oil is a very good quality oil and has excellent ingredients. I used it on my daughter’s hair and it improved the texture of her hair and provided extra slip when styling her hair. Some oils leave a sticky residue, but this one was light enough to penetrate her hair shaft and moisturize her scalp.
I only wish that it didn’t say that it is hydrating on the label, since something that is hydrating needs to have an ingredient that is water-based. From the ingredients list, I didn’t see anything water-based.
However, I do like this oil elixir and would recommend it, as it has a good number of beneficial ingredients for any hair texture.
I was hesistant initially when I was sent this oil because Cantu products used to give me a lot of damaged ends. However, they have advanced I believe and have created more products tailored towards women’s natural hair.
I did passion twist in my hair and used this on my ends and on my scalp. I have not a single complaint. This smells and feels light and airy. I recommend if you’re on the fence. I have 3c/4a curls for reference.
I was pleasantly surprised witht the consistency of Cantu’s hydrating hair oil and elixir. It comes an an easy to use squeeze top bottle with dropper applicator that gave me good control over the amount of oil I needed that day.
The oil itself was pretty lite weight not to thin and not thick or sticky at all. The avocado oil and rosemary combo also made for a delightful smell. The oil left my scalp hydrated and shinny between co washes.
This hair mask is not a product on Influenster yet but it’s the same brand as this hair oil which I also love! But the hair mask is amazing!! It’s sooo hydrating and smells FANTASTIC. I also feel like my hair always looks better the next day.
I’m not sure why but the smell always reminds me of Sol de Janeiro products. I have had this mask for a while and still have lots left. Recommend!!.
I put this on my hair after I wash it or when it is dry. I add it to the ends where my hair is really dry. It works! I am also working w the mask and that too is helping my curly hair. It does not leave my hair oily.
You don’t need a lot, just enough for me to place in the areas that are having a hard time. Right I am impressed enough that I will re-purchase this and the mask when I run out.
This hair oil is amazing. This oil if for curly hair but i use it on my straight hair and I love it. You can use it on dry or damp hair. I use it before straightening my hair and it works amazing it leaves you hair feeling smooth, silky, and soft.
This also smells really good so it leaves your hair smelling good. A little bit of this goes a long way.
There are a few different types of hair oil for wavy hair, each with its own set of benefits. Argan oil is a popular choice because it’s lightweight and non-greasy, making it ideal for those with wavy hair.
It’s also rich in vitamins and antioxidants, which can help to protect the hair from damage. Coconut oil is another option that can help to nourish and hydrate the hair. It’s also been shown to help reduce frizz and add shine.
Lastly, jojoba oil is a good choice for those who want to add a bit of extra moisture to their hair. It’s a heavy oil, so it’s best used in small amounts.
