There are a few options for hair dye that lasts the longest. Permanent hair color will last the longest, but it will also be the most damaging to your hair. If you want to go the permanent route, look for a hair color that is specifically designed to be long lasting.
Alternatively, you can try a semi-permanent hair color. These hair dyes will last for several weeks, but they are not as damaging to your hair as permanent dyes.
Tish & Snooky’s Manic Panic Semi-Permanent Hair Color Cream is ethereal and earthy like an evergreen should be. This dark, blue-based green is flattering and festive. Enchanted Forest works best on prelightened hair and also will give a bold highlight to “virgin” hair.
If you’re ready to make a serious commitment (a four to six week commitment) to having fabulously colorful hair, then Manic Panic Semi-Permanent Color Cream is for you. Experienced “dyehards” have said that nothing works like Manic Panic Semi-Permanent Hair Color Cream.
Manic Panic uses superior ingredients that are guaranteed vegan and contains no animal ingredients. Fortified with a herbal and protein complex. Ready to use, no mixing required. Fades gradually with each shampoo.
Gives highlights to darker hair. Fades gradually with each shampoo. Do not mix with peroxide. Not for use on eyelashes or eyebrows.
I had wanted to dye my hair a bright color for years, and never had until now. But I could not be happier with the results! Manic Panic Hot Hot Pink is so vibrant and absolutely gorgeous! Now, I honestly don’t know why it took me so many years to attempt coloring my hair, and I have a feeling that using Manic Panic is going to be a new addiction! I definitely recommend this dye to anyone who wants would love their hair to be a vibrant, bright, and powerful hot pink hue.
I did have best results on the top of my head where I achieved a lighter shade of yellow with bleach before adding the color. The rest of my hair revealed a slightly redder pink tint, where my yellow bleached hair came out slightly darker.
However, it was still a beautiful color all around!.
I love manic panic so much honestly, so i’ve never dyed my hair before and I was able to choose between manic panic or arctic fox and I’m so glad I chose manic panic. First off it was really easy to apply, we had a little bit of trouble at first because the brush didn’t really fit in the jar and we didn’t really want to use the dye bowl so we just kinda used the glove that was included in the bleach kit and slapped it on and it was really creamy and nice.
After I fully saturated the parts I was dying I still had more than half the container left which is amazing but keep in mind I only did the underside of my hair and my bangs. I slept overnight with it which, yes, it is safe to do that but I had to read up on it so I did that and I put the cap on from the bleach kit and a plastic bag and slept.
When I woke up my hair felt so nice honestly and the dye was still wet, probably because my head sweat or something (gross) but I showered and I noticed that it was a little bit hard to get all the dye out and i wasn’t sure whether i should have shampooed or not but I know when I got I still had color in.
My hair is wavy and I wasn’t sure what it would do so I didn’t put in any products and I just left my hair to dry. My hair didn’t even get frizzy while air drying, It kind of just felt very soft and conditioned and it had lots of volume and I was pleasantly surprised.
Its been around 1 and a half months and It is just starting to fade which is crazy to me and its almost turning into a peachy pink almost. So here are some things i’d like to include, I thought it would be a more purpley-pink color but It turned out to be hot pink which I am not even mad about and I kind of love it more, I wash my hair every other day which I was skeptical about and I thought it would make the color fade fast but it really hasn’t faded fast and if you go longer without shampooing it will probably last you even longer.
Overall I will not be using any other dyes other than manic panic.
Discover your natural way to shine! Made with 80% naturally derived ingredients, Clairol Natural Instincts gives you a rush of radiant, natural-looking color you can feel good about. Say “yes” to gentle ingredients like coconut oil and aloe vera and say “no” to ammonia and added parabens.
Our no-drip crme formula is designed to feel more like a conditioner, and it’s gentle on all hair types and textures. Treat yourself to color that blends away grays, boosts shine, and lasts up to 28 washes.
Available in 37 natural shades, so you can find the black, brunette, blonde, or red hue that’s totally you.
Pros: Does not seem to damage hair or cause hair shedding! Huge! Cons: Lightens natural color slightly. Brassy! 5g mostly but not fully covered gray. TBD: How long the gray coverage lasts. Decided to try this to blend the gray at my roots.
I have prob ~20% gray (among my natural brown-black) that I like to tint light/med brown as a way of adding highlights to my hair. Typically use a beauty store brand demi permanent color with 10 volume developer and that works great – it actually permanently stains my gray so that I only have to to recolor my roots every 4-6 weeks, and my lengths never look over-saturated.
However it consistently makes my hair fall out like CRAZY whenever I use it so decided to try Natural Instincts 5g in looking for an alternative. I used this only on a couple inches of my roots on virgin hair – it was quick to apply since it wasn’t to thick and didnt cause ANY additional hair loss or scalp irritation, yay! BUT, I’m not liking the result.
It gave me hot roots – the dark hair at my roots is now lighter than the dark hair that wasn’t colored. That should never be the case with a demi perm color. Instead of having tinted gray, the result is muddy, and not a color I like either – the 5 “golden brown” is a bit too green for my pref.
It only very slightly lightened my natural dark color, but I didn’t want it lightened at all esp considering I only do my roots. The hunt for an alternative continues. If I ever tried this again I would try a redder or cooler brown vs golden (though I like golden in other brands) and perhaps go darker in hopes the gray would fade to a lighter color adter a few washed and my natural dark wouldn’t be affected.
I use bleach alot & use many different brands. This bleach is better than some other cheap bleaches around the same price range like Manic Panic’s. Manic Panic’s bleach dries too quick on the hair in some places & comes out spotty looking & uneven color.
This Splat Bleach didn’t dry out fast on my hair. The bleach itself is pretty creamy & thickens up well if you shake or stir it well. After shaking in the bottle for the time provided I just emptied it into a bowl & used a highlighting brush to make sure it was mixed all the way & applied it to my roots.
It was easy to apply it evenly. My roots didn’t come out like the white on the box they came out like a yellowish orange but it came out all the same color & not spotty at all. My roots were originally a medium brown looking color.
I only applied it to my roots because the rest of my hair is already bleached & I didn’t want to damage the parts that were already bleached. This bleach didn’t smell too bad or strong like other bleaches.
My scalp didn’t itch or burn like it does with other bleaches. It did itch alittle from the bleach but it didn’t burn. I like that it comes with a shampoo packet that helps to close the hair follicles to stop the bleaching proces.
The shampoo suds up very well & there’s alot of it in the packet enough for maybe two uses but I used it all at one time. The shampoo has a nice fruity scent. This bleach also comes with a hair conditioner packet called Deep Reconstructor that has multi weight proteins, oils, & lipids in it to penetrate deep into the hair fiber rebuilding the hair from the inside out.
The packet says to leave it on at least 20 minutes to overnight but I only left it on 20 minutes as my roots didn’t feel damaged from the bleach. The conditioner was thick & creamy. It was easy to rinse out & did a good job at conditioning my hair.
I wish I would have left it on overnight on the rest of my hair that’s damaged that I didn’t touch up with this bleach. Definitely get more than one bleach if you have shoulder length or longer hair.
I have shoulder length hair & used all of the bleach just on my roots. My hair soaked up the bleach. I definitely recommend this bleach to people who want a decent bleach for cheap.
Arctic Fox color is long-lasting semi-permanent hair color that bleeds less than other semi-permanent brands, and contains added conditioners. The dye contains none of the harsh chemicals often found in other dyes, such as peroxide, ammonia, ethyl alcohol, or PPD.
All Arctic Fox colors are 100% vegan and 100% cruelty-free, and 15% of all profits are dontated to animal-centered charities.
I have being dying my hair bright, vibrant red for just over five years now, and Arctic Fox has been part of my color maintenance routine since day one. Vibrant red hair is not easy to maintain and keep from fading quickly, which can very quickly do serious damage to your hair if your only using ammonia-based chemical dyes every time you need to refresh your color.
Arctic Fox doesn’t damage hair at all. In fact, it helps undue the damage caused by permanent dyes because it doesn’t have any harsh chemicals that strip hair. Arctic Fox is actually GOOD for your hair and works just like a conditioner, not like a hair dye.
I add Arctic Fox to my regular conditioner (sulfate free of course) so that every time I wash my hair I’m also keeping my red looking vibrant and even healthier every time. I always wash my hair using the coolest water I can tolerate and after I shampoo I apply my premixed bottle of 3/4 sulfate free conditioner, 1/4 Arctic Fox Wrath + a dollop of Violet Dream and let it sit on my hair secured on top of my with a claw clip while I finish the rest of my shower routine, just like I would do with a nourishing hair mask.
Once my routine is done, I rinse out my hair thuroughly in cool water and towel dry it only so I get the most out of conditioning my hair, and viola! My looks, feels softer and healthier than before I washed it, plus my red still looks like it did the day I first day I dyed it.
It’s a win win. Not only does Artic Fox keep my red looking great, but it leaves my hair healthier every time also. Plus the custom colors you can create by mixing different different Arctic Fox colors together are endless! I was amazed at the color i got by mixing Purple AF + a touch of Aquamarine! It sounds crazy to mix aquamarine and deep purple together, but the color came out a multidimensional dark blue/purple-ish color that changes color depending on how the light hits it.
It’s my new favorite color! It does come out very dark, so I apply it (no conditioner added) to the bottom 1/3 of my hair and lightly pull the color upwards into my red to get a perfect blended fade from bright red to deep blue/purple.
I get compliments on my hair every day and people always ask me how I keep my color looking so bright all the time. Arctic Fox, that’s how! =).
Wow. Just blown away!! I’ve been coloring my hair for well over 30 yrs, but have been different shades of Purples/Pinks for about 3 yrs now; The only 3 brands I ever use/trust are Arctic Fox, IroIro & Punky.
For those saying it dyes everything but their hair, I doubt that seriously, unless you do it wrong: If going LIGHTER, you MUST bleach it first, or yes, it won’t do much of anything. If you already have a naturally lighter color, it will show up, but if you want the EXACT color on the box/label, you’ve got to start w/basically ABSENCE of color, which is basically bleach blonde, & I always use Manic Panic’s AMPLIFIED Flash Lightening (Different than just Flash Lightening, it pulls a bit more color off, especially good for medium/darker browns, etc).
Kind of a no-brainer, actually. As far as ppl saying it gets everywhere: Use your head & PREPARE properly first, & that won’t happen. Use Vaseline around your face, & have PLENTY of old rags/towels laid out (in case of cast-off).
Remove all carpets from bathroom, etc. DON’T rush, & once it’s in your hair, cover it w/a shower cap or even a grocery bag; It helps it work better & also provides protection for anything you may rub against.
And always keep handy some rubbing alcohol (or ashes work, too) for quick clean up of hands, forehead, etc. Invest in some GOOD color refreshing shampoo in your desired color to keep it vibrant!! Really hope this helps.
All I know is that for a LONG time, I’ve somehow been able to do intricate things w/this brand among others, & in VERY bright, vibrant colors, such as ombre going purple, magenta to dark pink. I just don’t understand all the ppl having such issues.
Absolute garbage hype beast brand. Just a disclaimer, I don’t think I purchased both of my bottles at Ulta, but I did the Violet Dream for sure, and I’ve used them twice in combo now, and I can say with absolute certainty that I will never be buying Arctic Fox again and will try to steer anyone clear that I can.
Save your money, other brands are far better. Even Manic Panic with it’s eternal staining and bleeding will at least actually stick to hair and Ulta carries them. And to be clear: I followed all the instructions.
I was careful that my hair was freshly washed, no conditioner or product whatsoever, dry obviously. I used more dye than necessary just to be safe, wrapped the dyed sections in foil and then bag heat processed the whole shebang.
The end result: I’ve got sections of purple from the Girls Night Out and Violet Dream combo I just applied, I’ve got the old faded green sections from a much better brand in random spots, and one side took completely differently despite being treated the same way so I’ve got one mostly purple streak with green here and there, and one slightly purple, slightly green with some awesome sections with no dye.
Oh yes that’s right. I had sections where the old dye had faded so completely that it was back to platinum blonde. Guess which parts it didn’t stick to? Yeah. Those bits. Bleached but healed platinum blonde.
Covered some sections of green just fine, but apparently a blank slate is a bridge too far for this brand. And yes, they were definitely covered in dye; I went overboard because my first attempt using this brand was laughable results-wise.
Turns out, that’s just how this brand do. I have no idea where all these people that worship this brand are coming from. Are they wearing wigs, is it dyed with another brand? Because there’s no way they’re using this stuff.
It barely sticks to hair, so how are these people getting full, evenly dyed bright hair huh? Super sus.
Use protective cream around hair line. Apply hair color 1/8″ from scalp, and comb through thoroughly. Cover with plastic cap, and process with heat for up to 15 mins. Rinse and shampoo completely. No alcohol.
No peroxide. No ammonia. For professional use only.
Oh wow this colour is intense and so beautiful! I am growing out my grey, I have waist length hair, there was a stark root line of my natural dark brown to black growing down so I needed something along the lines of grey to blend in the blonde.
This colour worked perfectly! So easy to use and leaves the hair shiny and luxurious colour, blended perfectly. I totally recommend this product and this colour, but there are many beautiful colours to try in the range! This works fine for me! So happy in so glad I found you online.
It’s a gorgeous colour, I also purchased another colour too! I was a little worried to use it because it was a different consistency to the other direct dyes I use (maintaining light pink hair is a pain) but I really enjoyed it actually.
Instead of a solid colour, it was actually clear/translucent pink. It has great pigmentation and gave me exactly what I was wanting. My only issue is that the bottle was smaller so I had to buy multiple, but for the price it’s definitely reasonable.
It loses volume, manageability, color, moisture and shine. AGEbeautiful Anti- Aging Haircolor is the first professional haircolor proven to fight all 5 signs of aging hair. The unique formula penetrates deeply and absorbs quickly for 100% unsurpassed gray coverage and beautiful, rich color that lasts for up to 8 weeks. With color that reflects their inner youth and vibrance, women can truly age beautifully.
This hair color is wonderful. Results came out a little dark so definitely recommend you go a few shades lighter than you think you need. They do tell you that on the website when you order. My hair felt healthier after I colored it.
Did not run too much during application. Went on easily. Came off skin easily as well. Covered my grays really well, even the stubborn ones. The shampoo and conditioner included in the kit was a generous amount and worked so very well.
I have used many professional hair colors in the past and this one really does stand out with how clear the instructions are, how easy to use it is, and how well it works. I would purchase this going forward I would just choose a little bit lighter shade.
I would have no problem recommending this to friends and family. If you do not over process your hair you will do well. **Want to be upfront that I received this product for free from influenster and Zotos professional for my honest review of the product.
#ABStarterKitVoxBox #complimentary @zotosprofessional @Influenster I got this free from Influenster and zotosprofessional for my honest review. I got 5RR Medium Intense Red. The instructions was so easy to read and understand.
The bottle and applicator was really nice and durable. The gloves was very nice and durable where I could rinse them off and reuse for the shampooing. I like how thick the formula is and it doesn’t run all over the place.
It really doesn’t have a smell, it’s just a little but nothing overpowering. I absolutely love the added bonus of the haircolor remover wipe it works amazingly and very useful. The product made my hair feel like silk and the shampoo and conditioner did too and it smells amazing.
It colored my hair really good just have a little resistant grey it didn’t cover but overall it is a amazing product. I highly recommend to try.
It mixes smoothly. It’s a nice thick cream so it doesn’t drip. I received the medium intense red shade. What I got was nice bright red. Developing time for me was 45 mins as I had a good amount of grey.
It covered them really well. You get a sachet of color lock shampoo and conditioner which is super thick, there’s enough to wash/condition twice. It made my hair feel silky soft, easy to manage, without the heavy feel one would get post-coloring.
If you’re looking to try this product, I would highly recommend. The pic doesn’t actually do it justice. It’s a lot brighter! I love it! Received the product compliments of Influenster for my honest review! Thank you, @influenster!.
Unlike traditional hair color, olia uses an exclusive 60% oil blend, with natural flower oils in the colorant. The unique oil-based formula propels colorants deep into the hair without ammonia, for pure, vivid, long-lasting color.
Olia achieves maximum color performance while the oils help reverse roughness and dullness, visibly improving and restoring hair.
My hair is naturally really dark brown but has been bleached heavily to get platinum so very damaged. I used this dye over faded dark red brown and I’m in love. It’s more red than my previous red which I adore because I didn’t think it would be vivid like the box said.
It definitely is. Colour payoff is excellent. Easy to use, instructions were straight forward. The smell is really nice I think the conditioner you get with it is the smell that stays in the hair and it smells like a standard nice conditioner.
The red dripage from washing it did get everywhere but it washes off with water. Took longer to wash out than to apply. Ignore the rinse out instructions just cold water shampoo twice then use conditioner.
If you don’t want it to fade always wash hair with cool water not freezing and definitely not hot. Try to wash your hair once or twice a week no more so that you won’t need to dye it as much. My hair is so soft it’s still somewhat dry but that’s because it was bleached a couple months ago.
The only transfer I’ve had was on my towel when drying it but haven’t had any more transfer so far so I think I’m safe on that. I used two boxes on waist length hair, one on roots other one on mids and ends.

I would consider this product to be more like a pink version of virgin snow. I understand tints and light hair dyes work best on platinum hair, BUT, I felt it was advertised more as a fully saturated dye.
It’s my fault that I didn’t look into it more, I assumed it would be thicker and more pigmented. I love manic panic and figured I’d give it a try after 10 years and I gave my hair some time to heal. However, even the fully platinum parts of my hair were just slightly tinted after using two bottles.
From my experience the dye hardly absorbed into my hair I even left it on a bit longer than instructed. I wish it had been advertised more as a pastel toner gel, I’m sad to be writing this review. It’s not a bad product, it just wasn’t as advertised.
Like I said it’s more like virgin snow than a full color, I suggest that they make some adjustments on the sample pictures and description. If you’re looking to SLIGHTLY tint platinum blonde hair to a pastel light neon pink color, then this is for you.
If you’re looking for full saturation, I’d go with one of their darker colors. It really was like a thin gel and hardly stuck to my hair, I understand the less blonde parts not being fully colored, but it was disappointing to have such an underwhelming effect on my super blonde sections.
My hair was left feeling soft, looking healthy and shiny so no complaints there, awesome formula, disappointing color. hopefully I have better luck with a deeper pink.
I am a natural brunette, growing out bleach since the pandemic. I like the ‘ashy brown with highlights’ look. I was a big Wella T18 (grey toner) fan. but the 20 volume developer required to make it stick, was turning my roots & ends ORANGE! Ugggh.
So, I tried Alien Grey semi at first, but it was subtle & only affected my lighter ends. this Amplified Dark Star worked much better to tone down the brassy warmth. My natural greys were not affected much, but they and the last of my light bits were a nice lavender grey.
And they blend in with the brown hair which is much cooler in tone now. The roots look much better and orange has been tamed! I will add some more later next week and see if I can’t get my brown back to its original neutral tone in a maintenance routine.
But this really helps, if you have ‘orange problems’ or your goal is ashy-purple-brown. Some things, you should leave to a pro, but it was a great quick fix. If I had really saturated it more, it would probably be more dark and cool toned.
If you have light hair it will def show as a lovely silvery lavender grey. I left one bottle on for maybe an hour with plastic cap, no heat, and rinsed with tepid water, no shampoo. Air dry, and give yourself a little conditioning on the ends, not too oily.
I would warn that generally MP colors do rough hair up a little bit – it may be ‘vegan’ product but it is not necessarily a conditioning product. I used a Hask purple conditioner & will use their purple shampoo later.

I had put my hair light-medium blonde hair through three days of hell trying to remove a permanent toner that turned my hair a dull gray. Soap cap, baking soda, dandruff shampoo, dishwashing liquid, color remover—you name it.
By the time I was done, my hair was orange. I tried to correct it by putting a dark blonde color over it, but it was still brassy with plenty of red/orange tones. In despair, I drove to the local Walgreen’s and purchased a box of Garnier Extra Light-Ash Blonde 111 (White Chocolate,) hoping that the ash color would take care of the brass.
I applied it, left it on for 30 minutes and prayed. After rinsing and applying the after-color mask, I was ecstatic to see that my hair was a light beige blonde with slightly darker and lighter tones.
I will most likely have to use a purple shampoo to keep the cooler tone of my hair, but I am totally ok with that. I know that there are a lot of negative reviews on here comparing the older formulation to the new, but this was perfect for me.
I can’t believe how soft and shiny my hair is, because it literally looked and felt like straw before using this hair color. A total winner and a total lifesaver. Best box hair color I’ve ever used.
I tried out the Garnier Nutrisse Nourishing Color Crème in a light brown shade. I have naturally dark brown hair with auburn tint in my hair, so I wanted to go a little lighter brown for the summertime.
The kit has everything you need and is super easy to use/apply, which I appreciate as other dyes can be quite difficult to use. It also wasn’t messy at all, which is a huge plus for dying hair in an apartment.
I loved how healthy it made my hair feel after dying, like so smooth and silky. It’s now been three weeks since and my hair is still feeling really healthy. However, the dye color didn’t work on me at all.
You can not even tell I dyed my hair unless I am in the sun, then you can see some highlights that look kind of light !but barely. If anything, it made my hair a little more red tinted than it naturally is, which is kind of strange.
I probably should have used bleach before using this, but the box had a picture of what my hair color would look like after using the dye and it was close enough to the color I wanted. Either this dye isn’t very pigmented or my hair just didn’t take to it at all.
Either way, I have used this dye in the past and had positive results, so it might just be the color I chose this time around.
For years I’m using L’Oreal Superior Preference 9G Light Golden Blond hair color creme. Always excellent, true golden color-tone that lasts me 8 weeks. It was time to color my hair but I couldn’t find this product, so I decided to try Garnier Nutrisse color cream in the shade 93 Honey Butter which described as Light Golden Blond on the box.
Omg! The color turned out ashy (which I hate bc it reminds me of my grey hair) with some weird pink undertone. Whatever grey hair I had – they came out same grey without getting any coverage. The instructions are identical to my favorite L’Oreal color creme, so I couldn’t do anything wrong while using Garnier product.
Appled and waited for 25 minutes, then rinsed it. Eveen remaining true golden color on my hair from last coloring session disappeared and turned into ashy ugly color. I can’t wait now to get rid of it ASAP! I can’t belive this product works for other people.

is my favorite at home hair coloring. I only by the red box (in the picture below). My usual shade is auburn or burgundy I received this black one as a free sample, I’m excited to try it. I love that it comes everything you need even includes Argan Oil to apply after.
My hair never breaks off when I use this coloring. I am natural I don’t bleach my hair before I use the kit the color comes out very nice pigmented. The color usually fades/grows out a little after a month for myself.
They say don’t use box dyes to color your hair but when you’re on a budget as a naturalista, box dyes can be your best friend to achieve a permanent color. I only use Creme of Nature box dyes at the moment and I picked up this one to achieve a medium brown color on my hair.
I knew I wasn’t going to get the Golden Blonde advertised because I have the blackest of black hair (I have to thank my parents for their genes more haha). If I am correct, it came with the bleaching powder, dye, conditioner and maybe a hot oil treatment.
The hot oil treatment was definitely appreciated but I still noticed color damage to my natural curls, which was expected. It definitely made my curls a bit looser and frizzy. I’m waiting on a box dye that doesn’t damage your curls in the midst of the process and I am still looking.
Overall, the box dye did it’s job and I use it every 6+ months to dye my growth.

I have used Olia a few times now so I know how it works. I had previously used very intense red 6. 66 on ash blonde hair and let it wash out 80% to 90% before putting this rose shade in. I naturally have Ash blonde and grey hair in my 50s.
I used 2 boxes on mid shoulder length hair of this pink shade. This did lighten my hair to a very peachy, candy floss faint pink that was really patchy. There is only about 10% pink colour. It’s definitely not what is on the box, considering I did let my previous colour wash out to very light almost blonde again.
I am in NZ and had it shipped over from Australia as this colour isn’t available here, but I won’t be using it again. Quite disappointed really. I will wait about 4 to 6 weeks and put in either a red or a light brown to cover this.
For now I will have to just disguise it with a messy ponytail with long side strands or some beach waves made with my ghd. I don’t recommend this product at all. I even googled videos of people reviewing this product before using it too.
Most didn’t like the result. I don’t think there is enough colour in this product in the end. I think it has actually wrecked my hair sadly.
This totally unique colour range is the first to use botanical pigments to give intense and vibrant colour. Formulated with botanical properties that date back to ancient times, the nourishing formula acts deep within each hair fiber to protect and nourish whilst providing radiance and depth.

I’m Africa-American with very short, thinning hair, and a highly sensitive scalp. I can no longer use the usual boxed hair color. I had my hair colored at a high-end salon- my hair was totally damaged.
I thought coloring my hair was over. I was skeptical but thought I’d give this product a try. I’ve used Phyto’s products in the past and have had great success. The products are expensive. This hair coloring product is worth every penny and more.
It covered my grey! My hair is soft! No allergic reaction! My scalp feel great! The mask leaves your hair smelling great! Best of all there’s no chemical smell! This will be my new hair coloring product going forward!.
I’ve been coloring my hair with henna for the past 7 years, but it wasn’t doing the job of covering my greys anymore. So I thought I would try this because it seemed like the least damaging of all chemical dyes.
It did not disappoint! It layered over henna beautifully, concealed grey and did not sting or stink when applying. I hope it holds up well after a few washes. My only thing is that the color (Light Brown cappuccino) turned out darker than expected.
It’s more of a medium or maybe even dark brown, not a light brown.
I pretty much use the phytocolor 4 brown as my base color. I work in other phytocolor to achieve the shades of my preference. I have been using phytocolor for past decade, yes that long. I like the all the colors and hardly use any color neat, mixing the colors is part of the fun and they never disappoint.

Direct dye colour that allows professional artists to create masterpieces. Colours can be mixed to create custom shades, more vibrance and fades even better. For the brightest and truest colour tone results, apply on pre lightened hair.
This long lasting hair dye blends seamlessly and application is easy. A developer is not needed. Strongly recommend doing a patch and strand test 48 hours before colouring. Pulp Riot launched in 2016 by by David & Alexis Thurston in the United States, with 16 shades of semi permanent bold and vibrant shades.
Since then they have created over 200 products, including a wide range of permanent and semi permanent dyes, toners, developers and more. Pulp Riot created a professional brand that is well known worldwide for their vegan, cruelty free, paragon free, PPD free formulas.
This is the best I have EVER tried! It lasted longer than Ions Permanent haircolor (used with developer) This requires no daveloper so it is not harmful to your hair, and it lasts a long time. Especially if you only use cool water on your hair and using a color wash shampoo also helps if you really want to keep the vibrancy going but also works well without this.
I have dark hair which had been pre-lightened and it worked great! I went in the salon the next time for more bleaching because I wanted more and they used Ions PERMANENT Purple color with developer and it did not cover as well as Pulp Riot AND IT (ALMOST ALL) WASHED OUT IN THE FIRST SHAMPOO! As did 2 of their other so called permanent colors! But I’m good I got more of this and I will be set! The last time I used after 9 weeks I still had BEAUTIFUL PURPLE COLOR! I have never received so many compliments on my hair in all my life! Please never stop making this I love it!.
My hair has not even a purple tint despite sticking to the instructions and the full exposure time. I think when dyeing everything became purple, except the hair itself. Even after more than a week, color still comes out of the hair when washing and the shower water is purple.
Would not recommend and would not buy again. Very much money for nothing.

I don’t leave reviews but as I saw a lot of the reviews were collected as part of a promotion I wanted to leave an unbiased review. From what I read it seemed as though this would dye my hair and stop it from drying out.
For reference I am south Asian with naturally very dark brown (almost black) hair which I bleached and dyed over lockdown. I had two bleached strips at the front of my hair which I wanted back to black and the rest of my hair was a weird patchy light brown that I wanted all one colour.
I knew it would be difficult going from bleach blonde to black but the reviews gave me hope. The instructions are easy to follow but do not be fooled. A lot of the reviews said it smells amazing but it does not.
It still has that strange hair dye smell so you won’t luck out on that and my hair did smell like dye even after washing with shampoo. Application was easy and covered my entire shoulder length hair with one box.
I was worried the dye wouldn’t stick to the bleached panels but they turned completely black to my delight. Upon rinsing out the dye, I used a very healthy amount of the conditioner they provided which did make my hair very soft.
It has now been around two and a half weeks and I’ve washed my hair around 3 times, the black dye which covered the brown bits of my hair has remained completely black but the front panels have started to fade into a slight brown but hardly noticeable.
My hair has also retained a nice softness unlike other dyes which made my hair completely lifeless, weighted and dry. So overall a great box of dye and a really reasonable price.
So I have very long thick hair so it does take ages to dye myself. I know this and quite like it when my ends are a shade or two lighter so as my hair was already a pale gingery brown I decided to just dye the hair up to my waist and no further (my hair is over my hips).
To achieve this I bought two boxes of dye (as I usually do) and I did not run out of product to saturate my hair. This is normal for me and I have had no issues with other ginger dyes achieving my desired look and having even results with the blended fade to the lighter ends.
To get this look I start at my brown regrowth then my fringe, and top and back of my head. Then I gradually work down the length of the hair so if I do run out I’ll just have a larger fade. Due to the length and thickness of my hair the first bottle of dye will take about 20 mins and will basically just do my roots, fringe and top of the head.
The second bottle of dye will then be applied to the mid lengths of hair and this will take another 20 mins. I then develop the time as per instructions which is usually 30 mins. The first bottle applied will then get double the development time but this is not normally a problem even that one time I dyed it blonde!!! This time however.
my hair it literally about 4 shades and I’m not just talking about the ends. My fringe and hairline and a lovely bright orange, my parting is the same colour but some of my roots are still brown underneath, the rest of my hair is literally one shade more orange than it was previously and about two shades lighter than my fringe.
Now I would understand if the midlengths were lighter, this would actually be a good thing as it would fade into my redblonde ends, but why are some of my roots still brown!! I dyed my hair exactly as I usually do and the result with this dye is horrible! I think I’m going back to Suprdrug own brand 7.
4 shade. No patchiness last time I used that!!!!!.
I went bleach blonde a while ago but have been trying to go back to my natural colour (dark brunette). Though my roots were blended into the blonde by a hairdresser, I grew tired of the two-tone look and wanted the colour to be more cohesive.
I was aiming for a light-mid brown so used this dye. It has worked really well and blended nicely without looking patchy. It smelled pleasant and has actually made my dry, bleached ends look and feel more healthy.
The only downside is that it has more coppery tones (particularly noticeable on the roots) than I was expecting/would have liked. However, it still looks good and means it will be a less drastic change as I go back to my natural colour.
Would definitely buy another dye from this range again.

The 3D Color Gel Technology is a liquid gel colorant for multi-tonal results from root to tip and the ultra-hydrating cream conditioner is known o highly nourish hair after color application and provide shine, care and frizz control.
The package contains 1 ammonia free colorant, 1 cream color developer, 1 after-color conditioner and 1 application instructions. Personally, I followed the instructions on the manual step-by-step. I wanted to do it correctly because I haven’t dyed my hair in a few months.
I received the color “soft black”, and to my surprise, I loved it as a final result. I made sure to test this product 48 hours before dying my hair to see if I was allergic to it. All in all, I enjoyed dying my hair at home, and I would highly recommend this product, Revlon ColorSilk Permanent Hair Dye, to my family and friends that are interested in dying their hair at home.
I would just make sure inform them to follow the manual instructions for a salon-quality look.
Shopping for an at-home dye kit can be a daunting experience. When every box on the shelf over-promises luxe, salon-worthy locks that will sparkle like diamonds, it’s easy to overlook Revlon’s no-frills packaging.
Don’t be fooled by the simple packaging or too-good-to-be-true pricepoint: this is hands down the best product on the shelf. I’ve used various shades from the black / brown end of the spectrum and am amazed every time at the coverage, ease of use, and (most importantly) the results.
The results truly match the sample swatches on the box. If you’ve dyed your hair black before, you know box dyes sometimes have a tendency to lean blue / purple. I assure you, Colorsilk Black 10 is a TRUE black.
No undertones whatsoever. Other things I love about this product: there is ZERO harsh or unpleasant chemical smell (the only at-home dye I’ve ever been able to use in the bathroom with the door closed and no fan on).
The inevitable skin staining came out right away with just a bit of soap and water. Oh, and the conditioner packet they give you is liquid gold. I would seriously consider buying a box just for the conditioner if my hair ever needs a “pick me up.
” Bottom line: this stuff is great! If you’re on the fence, give it a chance. You will be very pleasantly surprised!.
During covid lockdown I didn’t know what to do with our growing hair as my husband and myself was unable to go to a hairdresser. I had just purchased a new good hair shaver to keep my husbands hair and beard looking good but what could I do? One evening I had the idea to actually shave my hair off with number 2 attachment.
I had previously bought and loved this product so I then sprayed my hair all over with this steel blue spray. I had a doctors appointment the next morning so I boldly walked in with my super short steel blue hairdo.
Both my doctor and the nurses raved about how good I look. I have even got stopped several times and asked what colour was I using. At 73yrs old I feel really funky this is an amazing product which not only colours my hair but also colours my scalp which makes for even coverage.
The great thing too is my hair is so easy to maintain and I don’t have to use creamy messy colours.

I am no stranger to the issues with red hair colour, but this far exceeded my expectations in terms of staining. While the colour is magnificent, and for a semi-perm colour is holding strong, every single surface, including my body, has pink staining.
I did this two weeks again, and my bathroom is still pink, and even more shocking, every day, when I use my face wipes, they’re pink. The amazingness of the colour is not worth the staining of everything.
I don’t consider myself a professional or a know it all. I have no degree of education in hairstyle or cosmetics. But I have dyed my hair a ton over the past few years and experimented with formulas and shades and all that.
I read and watched amazing reviews on Manic Panic overall and was very excited to try it. So I saved some money (they’re not college student friendly, these are meant to be high quiality), and bough myself Ultra Violet.
I come home, prep everything, and read the directions. Applied it, left it on, watched tv, waited the recommended time and checked, took a strand out and it looked like it had not taken any color at all, it was still light blond.
So I left it for a couple of hours like some people on YouTube recommended and came back to wash it all out. It was a huge disappointment when the dye just came right off my hair. Now, everybody has different hair types, and different processes done to their hair.
I even contacted the company to ask if I did something wrong or if I was missing something. I never got a reply (no shamming here, just saying) so I tried again with what was ñeft over but this time following their YouTube tutorial instead of the packaging instructions.
Again, nothing. So that’s a no for me. But it looks amazing on other people!.
Want to enhance your image and highlight your beauty? Then the Dye No Ammonia Olia Garnier Dark brown will help you to achieve your goals! Enjoy the benefits and advantages of Garnier products and other hairdressing accessories from 100% original brands.
I’m a long time “bleacher creature”. Three years ago, I discovered that my long-time stylist was absolutely wrong when he told me I couldn’t and shouldn’t ever bleach my hair (and that he wouldn’t do it either).
Unfortunately/Fortunately, the downtown salon he worked at closed permanently a year after I stopped going because it was too expensive for the owner to keep up with rent/property tax and other bills.
My first introduction to bleach was Sally Beauty’s packets of bleach powder and developer. It turned out okay but after a few more missteps I finally found my favourite product in Olia B+++ Max Bleach.
It makes my hair a gorgeous ultra light blond and once I tone it with L’Oreal EverPure Purple Conditioner, it’s almost white! For anyone experiencing problems with this brand, I’d say to make sure your hair is in good condition first and any colour you have coloured it previously is faded.
Condition your hair nightly with a rich conditioner, don’t wash it every single day a week before you bleach (it needs to be at least a day between washing and bleaching). Never go past the prescribed timing of 25-30 minutes, rinse with coolish water and use a good purple conditioner to get the brassiness out.
You might need to do it again if you’re not happy but I suggest waiting a week between bleaching. With all of this said, I love this product and intend to buy several more boxes when it’s on offer as well as buying several more tubes of L’Oreal EverPure so I don’t run out.
This was my first time that I have ever colored my hair. I purchased the shade black at my local walmart store. Since I already have natural black hair, I purchased this product because I wanted to enrich the color more.
After coloring my hair, I loved it. My hair looked so vibrant and shiny. This product helped bring life to my hair. Made me feel like a new person. 😉 The conditioner that came with the products really helped to give bounce to my curls and hydrate my hair as well.
this product will not change your hair much unless it was previously coloured blue black, you can use it to get faded colour back for a short period of time. i have medium brown hair and it did not colour my roots.
reviews from garnier. co. uk are very biased and this is misleading, should not be on this website.
It provides long-lasting natural-looking hair color with outstanding shine and condition. Developed with a beeswax base and other natural conditioners, it is a low ammonia, permanent or semi-permanent hair color.
Paul Mitchell offers a full spectrum of inter-mixable colors, and high lift colors, and ultra toners.
My color turned out amazing!! (Picture 1 after color was applied) It was sooo beautiful!! The red does fade semi quick though (2nd pic about month after originally getting color) I had this color for around 3 months before I decided to change it again.
We then lightened my hair and the red pulled out just fine but the 2N on my base(roots) pulled red majorly and did not want to come out of my hair. Unfortunately I got impatient and tried to get it lightened again too soon and experienced some damage due to it, this was also due to the stylist not looking out for my hair integrity and putting too high of a developer on my hair and not properly watching it.
(Picture 3 shows after lightener) I have used PM The Color on others as well and their color turns out amazing!! Be cautious of allergic reactions, I’ve had a couple people have a reaction to this product but only if I actually put it on with it touching the scalp.
They did not experience the reaction with highlights/lowlights or getting a balayage, only if it touched the actual scalp/skin.
I think I bought the 3N from a different seller; the 2N from this seller. The 2N was already oxidized. It was orange and thick and didn’t mix well with the developer. It stayed chunky. I would buy this product again.
I’ve been using this product for a while. It’s the only hair color that I know that doesn’t make my hair red. I think it’s a good product. They have hair saloons where they only use this type of hair color and Paul Mitchell products.
I also like their shampoo and hair styling gel. I would highly recommend this product and Walmart offers a variety of their hair colors.
