20 Best Hair Brush For Short Hair (2023 Updated)

I’m no pro at blow drying hair and I’m able to get a decent “blow out” with this brush. My hairs don’t get caught at any seams. The only complaint I have is that the handle is kind of narrow and my hands get sore during drying, I can manage but I imagine someone with grip/hand problems would have trouble.

I found a solution though that works for me, I asked my BF to wrap the handle in electrical tape to thicken it up, and it’s much more comfortable now. I saw some reviews with complaints about the bristles hurting their scalp.

well this brush isn’t meant to just brush your hair like that, it’s for blow drying and the bristles really only go through your hair, not against your scalp. so yes they would hurt, but this is not a problem for me the way I use it.

I like the drybar line and usually find their styling tools and products of pretty good quality and worth the splurge. I own the whole line of styling brushes, love the quirky names for the brushes and the quality is good , but this brush falls in the middle for me.

I get good volume when using it with a blow dryer but some of the bristles are facing awkward positions causing tugging when using the brush along with poking my scalp. The handle is not a big enough grip when trying to style, needs to be thicker.

In my opinion, some of my other ceramic round brushes that are a fraction of the price work just as well If not better.

I love this brush for short hair around the neck o ears. It gives a little lift so the hair isn’t totally flat. This is the first place I’ve been able to find one in years! I use it in my salon.

Fir the record, I would recommend it. My hair though is fine abd thinning put dramatically. I therefore do not use it as much as I would like to. I was expecting a bristles soft brush. Thank you though.

I said I can’t use it the way I jntended. It’s a good brush fir short quick combe.

Bought this little brush for my hairdresser who had one like it that, over the years, had lost almost all it’s bristles but he couldn’t replace it. It is wonderful for that small wisp of hair on the sides or back that look shaggy unless they’re run thru with a brush and dryer.

I looked everywhere for this brush and it is the only one I found that he wanted. and he says it will last for years now. Thanks.

I loved this blow dry brush! This was my first time ever using one. I used about 5-6 passes per section of hair and my hair came out smooth and shiny. The only issue I had was using the on and off switch i had to make sure my hands were cleaned off with any products from my heat protector.

I wish it had buttons instead. Other than that I loved how simple it is to use to achieve the beautiful bouncy blowout I created. I got so many “Is that your real hair?” Questions.

I tried this brush at a hair show and fell in love. It was a must to have in my arsenal of hair brushes. It works through wet and tangled hair so easily without breaking the hair or stretching it.

The brush fits very well for my fine hair.

I have several of the old style Body Shop bamboo pin hair brushes, they are great. They were starting to wear out after many years so I thought that I would buy new ones. I purchased the new version online however when I received it, I realized it was different and did not work as well as the old style.

I compared it with the old style Body Shop brush and realized that the little balls on the end of the bristles were not allowing it to get through my hair! Please bring back the old style Oval Bamboo Pin hair brush, without the balls on the ends of each pin.

I have very short wavy hair and it’s hard to style it straight the way I want to wear it. I have found that this is the only brush that works the best to accomplish that. Then I found out from the store where I had been buying it that the company discontinued it.

When I saw it on your site,I could have jumped for joy, so I bought 3 to last for a while.

I really like my small barrel boar brush. I can manipulate my “very short pixie” into shape easily with this size brush. I am happy to have found this perfect brush for such short hair.

not a quality brush unfortunately, pieces fall out every time I use/clean it – my advice: get a boar bristle brush – not one with cheap nylon or plastic pieces like this one – too bad

Comfortable to use. really pulls oils from base of hair down strands making hair sleek and shiny. Feels healthier too. Love this brush.

I just purchased this item today and I was not aware of the price. I still purchased it because the bristles look like what my hair needed in a brush. I also bought the Living Proof dry shampoo. I brushed my hair just to see as soon as I got home and I could tell the difference.

Then I sprayed the dry shampoo and worked it in. Needless to say, I am keeping the expensive brush. My hair has new life after it looked blah all day. This is the brush to purchase. Of course I read the reviews in my car after I purchased and there was chatter about the lettering peeling off.

The plus is Drybar heard them and they charged the logo. I’m glad I came across this brush today.

I have been trying to grow my hair for 5 years and have an extensive hair care routine to keep it healthy and growing. I haven’t used heat on it for those 5 years and after brushing with this brush for one day my hair looks like it would if I had dried it straight with a blow dryer.

I’m so happy to see my hair looking like this with no heat. I never could have expected these results so quickly. I agree with what another recent commenter said, that it seems like Drybar has redesigned their brush as the letters which are in the picture and which others reporting coming off have been replaced with a little metal brand piece.

I haven’t yet had the impression that it has been made cheaply. I have such high hopes after seeing crazy results in just a day.

I love this brush; it’s like a massage on my head. I have long, curly hair and I’ve been using this brush about 2-3 times a week since I got it. I’ve always been told not to brush curly hair, but I’m really amazed at how my hair looks after using this brush.

The only thing I wish is that the bristles were longer. My hair is fine, but I have a lot of it. So I find that even with the nylon bristles the brush sometimes just glides over the top of my hair and I have to use pressure to get through all of my hair.

Otherwise, I love how this brush makes my hair look and feel.

I have curly/frizzy hair. The Blowout Brush doesn’t make my hair perfectly straight, it achieves about 90% straightness. So, instead of spending half an hour plus with my straightener, it takes me about five minutes after I’ve used the Blowout Brush.

The sum total is that I spend about the same amount of time on my hair but now there’s added volume! I should note that it is very humid at the moment so as soon as I go anywhere near moisture the curls/frizz start creeping back.

I’m guessing the brush might work better in winter for me. A special thanks to Bondi Boost – I ordered before xmas thinking I’d have a nice present for the new year and you delivered two days before xmas.

I bought this hair dryer thinking that I was buying the best! After 3 months, not using it every day since I’m still working from home and don’t need to do my hair every day. One day just after I turned it on it made a terrible noise and sounded like something was broken inside and was rattling around inside.

I contacted bondi boost and added a video of what it was doing. Their response was to return it to them for a refund. I threw away the Packaging and box it came in. I would have to package and ship back to them before I received a refund! I never returned it and of course can not use a smoking broken hair dryer.

Don’t confuse cost with quality. And customer service is key to a good consumer experience. Will never buy anything for this company ever!.

Excellent product. I have been using a hairdryer to rough dry my hair and then a revolving hot brush to give body for my fine hair. The Blowout Brush means I only have to use one implement now to get the same effect.

The best thing about it is that it doesn’t pull my hair out, as the revolving hot brush tended to do, nor does it burn my head. The only downside is that it should have some sort of hard plastic cover for the bristles as you can’t really pack it in a suitcase for travel without squashing the bristles.

The box that it comes in is too bulky for this purpose. If you could include one with the product or sell it separately, the Blowout Brush would be worthy of six starts!.

My bestie has REALLY thick blond hair – it’s got an undercoat that is like corrugated cardboard. My hair is nothing remarkable. Fine but average thickness to slightly thick I guess. We have used this since I first purchased it years ago and just recently replaced them.

I call this brush The Amish Blowdryer because I’m hilarious. Anyway- it’s not that this is so remarkable; it doesn’t dry hair significantly enough to WOW, imo. But. it does just enough to be missed when it’s not around.

Once I got used to it I really enjoyed using it after washing and towel drying my hair. Plus I find it good for distributing product like leave-in conditioner. Maintenance is surprisingly easy, shake it out after use and very occasionally wash with shampoo and water if you feel the need.

I replaced mine because I lost it in a move and my friend replaced hers because it was starting (after years of daily use on THAT head of hair) to show signs of wear. I found it at Bed Bath Beyond for 11 bucks.

I’ve not tried the round one because I don’t trust cutting edge technology like that. So. I guess this is a rave review without the rave. I do love this brush but I’m not IN love with it. Whatever that means.

This brush cuts at least 10-25 minutes off my drying time, depending on the current length of my hair. My hair texture is very fine, but I have a ton of it, very thick and full head of hair. I use this before and after I use my Aquis water-wicking towel.

It makes a big difference and helps cut down on frizz. There are only two reasons I didn’t give it five stars. First, occasionally the pad with the blue fingers tugs loose and I have to tuck it back under the edge of the plastic frame.

Second, maybe once a week or more I have to Fluff the blue fingers bc they get smashed down. Neither of these things are a nuisance compared to the time it saves me! I wish they were still available in-store, but I’m glad I can still order them.

I’m going to order the 2-pack so I have a back-up. I’d be lost without it.

I love paddle brushes. I have thick long hair and it’s hard to find a brush that can stand up to all the abuse. I’ve had this one for a few years now and it’s still my go to. The bristles don’t separate from the paddle and it’s cushion gives the right amount of comfort and doesn’t pull the hair out.

I have shoulder length wavy/curly, frizzy and thin hair. In the past I could not find a round brush that would allow me to get a good grip on my hair so that I can firmly pull on it while drying ; my hair would always slip through the brush.

Finally I have found a brush that will allow me to style my hair the way I like it. I also bought the 45mm brush for when my hair was longer. I bought the 35mm brush after I cut my hair. I am happy to have both brushes because I fluctuate between long and shoulder length hair.

Great brush. The right size for drying fringes. The vent allow for quicker drying. However I’ve found the brush does cause some static in my hair. Otherwise, great.

This brush make my hair a bit more shine and silky. It is easy to use; it grabs well and not stay tangled in my frizzy hair. *** BUT it is lose its bristles everywhere on floor. A little paper in packaging write this was normal.

Nevertheless, for my opinion, this is not acceptable for the price of brush. So, if you don’t have a white floor or you don’t walk barefoot at your house (ouch) this brush make that it suppose to do, but they had negative point and it is why i return it to sephora.

I will seek for another brand.

This is so badly designed! I have no idea who’s hair this actually works for. For starters the bristles scraped my scalp, then the “flexible” design makes the brush awkward to hold and run through your hair.

It either just slipped along on the surface of my hair, not detangling or kept getting caught. If I could give this zero stars I would. Sephora bring back the Tangle Teezer!.

This comb is medium, making it very comfortable in the hand. The thines are extra wide and this comb is so smooth no tugging whatsoever. I have very fine baby hair, a ton of it, so much so people mistake my hair for being thick.

this comb glides right between my snarls and the comb itself is super thick and smooth. This comb is amazing and would be great with any type of hair most especially appreciated by unruly,snarly hair.

It may be a few $ more than other combs, but this comb will last a lifetime and be your hair’s new best friend.

For me, this brush is the epitome of bad design. Without the included brace to keep brush “open” it does not work efficiently. The attachment only stayed in for one swipe of my hair. Perhaps it works better on shorter less textured hair.

This leave in pre heat style conditioner is a wonder. Easy to apply and has made such a difference when I blow dry my hair. My hair feels so much smoother and is much easier to style. It has also tamed the dry flyaway strands.

The brush head glides through the hair easily and grips the hair well, but is much gentler on the hair than the standard metal barrel styling brushes. However, I have only given 4 stars because of the brush handle – it is too narrow and has been squared off, so it isn’t very comfortable in the hand.

Not ergonomic and I would imagine it would be difficult for someone with dexterity problems.

Have had so many any different size brushes after Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy they were too hard too big..this one is perfect..love it…
