I bought the Contain + Train SportDog collar and fence. If you follow the directions, it is easy to use and install. It worked great to use the remote to get your dog used to the concept before installing the fence and training with that.

It’s great to have a collar that can be used for both and not have to switch all the time. I had never used a training collar at all until this one and I was very impressed with how well my dog learned and respected the collar.

My only complaint is that the last 100-200 feet of wire on each roll was cracked and broken which will cause the fence to ground and couldn’t be used. I called SportDOG and there was no wait or machines.

The lady instantly apologized and sent me 2 new rolls of wire at no cost. I could have given them a bad review for the wire, but their willingness to help and fix the problem earned the full 5 stars.

The product was easy to use and install and the customer service was great!.

I finally caved and purchased this fence after trying to train and use a wire fence to contain my 70 lb. poodle mix. He is very stubborn when he gets sight of rodents and wild life which became a serious problem as he’d break out of the fence and be near the busy road my house is off of.

Once we actually ended in the road and thank god he wasn’t hit! I then took down the wire fence and purchased this dog fence as it has phenomenal reviews. It truly is all it’s made out to be. I installed this around 2 acres in maybe 2 hours – so easy! I then brought out my dog and followed the training guide.

It’s been a process but by three weeks he’s becoming more comfortable with it. Have patience! It was tough the first time he got zapped -however- he now looks to me for guidance and doesn’t launch after squirrels.

If you have a stubborn dog, buy this.

Purchased the system being cautiously optimistic. We have a 160lb St. Bernard who is 4 years old. He is very playful and likes to explore, so I had no idea if the system would contain him or not. I will start by saying I did upgrade the wiring to 14 gauge wiring for durability and longevity.

I mapped out doing approx. 2 acres of free roam for him around our home. I rented a trencher from the local equipment store and while this did save from hand digging the entire perimeter, it was still a meticulous process of packing the wire to the depth I wanted (approx 4-6in).

This process took around 9 hours from start to finish and the receiver box showed that the loop was connected. I placed the given flags around the boundary and leashed him up. The first couple days we spent going out and about around the space, he’d get close to the flags, the collar would beep and I’d give him a tug back to safety.

(The collar has 8 settings. The first 3 are only beep and vibrate, then from 4 up- the correcting gets stronger) After the fifth day I felt he was ready to check it out on his own. I set the correction level at 5 and fastened it to my leg.

(Typical male, right?) I wanted to feel what he would possibly feel on the correction. He is a very big boy but he is also a pampered baby. Needless to say, I hardly felt a touch so I was convinced I had wasted my time and money.

So later that night I went out with him and he saw a deer in the lower part of the field and he took off after it. the was no yelp, bark or anything but he immediately came back to my side and sat down.

I was shocked by this. the next morning we woke up and I went to put the collar on him to go outside and he crawled halfway under the bed. This made me feel awful and I was afraid he was scarred for life.

After a day of research I saw this was very common, that I needed to spend more time together outside and get him used to it. So this doesn’t turn into a novel, fast forward 6 weeks and he wears the collar like a badge of honor.

He knows he can’t go outside without it. He knows his boundaries. I only have it set on Beep mode, and he runs and flops and rolls and has free roam and I don’t know who’s happier-Him-or my wife and I.

It has given us complete peace of mind for him to enjoy himself and spend as much time as he wants outside. I think it almost makes him forget about his own queen sized bed inside.

This is the best thing we’ve ever done for our cats! They can enjoy the outdoors and be safe! We have had this system installed for about 15 years – 3 cats all of the time and not one has escaped! We have it installed top and bottom along our fence and it has to cross a small piece of our yard in one spot.

We live in an area with significant snowfall – the second year the snow resulted in the lower wire breaking – we have since put the lower wire through black sprinkler piping to protect it. The wire works through this piping.

It also works when snow covered. Super happy we did this for our cats! Customer service is also excellent!.

Works great! We bought a second collar and now my two dogs with different temperaments stay in the yard. I’m free of the leash and the fear of them getting hit by a car. One odd thing is that settings 1-4 were like irritations and my dog blazed through the fence in a moment of exhilaration on setting 4 and also just walked through it and sneezed a bit.

The highest setting of 5 was a huge jump in correction. It makes them yelp and one of my dogs wanted up in my arms (she’s not a picker upper at 45 plus pounds). It makes them run back to you so just realize that this is their reaction that they want you to help them not feel that again.

I have a friend that also uses a remote training collar for going on walks and I see now that it should work well because they run back to you when they hear the beeping. The fence works and after a short time they will know and respect the boundaries.

They both saw a squirrel the other day which is irresistible to my more instinct driven yet sensitive female. On the leash she will yank me around and endure the yank at the end of her leash for just a chance at a squirrel.

But not so with the fence and collar. They both looked intently at the squirrel and watched it climb the tree and then went back to sniffing in the yard!.

This fence works great, but it was finicky to set up. The wires have to be inserted just the right distance, but not too far or the box thought the wire loop was broken. It took us a while to figure that out.

In the process the spring popped out of one of the wire clamps so it was useless, but we found the spring and my husband was able to fix it. I really wish there was just a screw we could wrap the wire around and tighten, which would feel much more stable.

Everytime we moved the thing, the wires popped out, up till we got it into it’s final resting space. We’re a little worried the box will get bumped and a wires will come loose again. I will say that when we thought the device wasn’t working, the PetSafe team replied to my e-mail within minutes, and on a Sunday.

I was super impressed with the fast customer support. We’ve been using it for almost 2 weeks, counting training time, and our hound foster now stops about 8 feet from the fence he was previously jumping, which is about when he should be hearing the beep.

We keep the collar next to the back door and turned off, unless we’re putting the dog out. We haven’t needed to charge it yet.

I bought this as a last resort and man how i wish id bought it first. We have 3 dogs. 1 a very pigheaded pitbull ( 18 mo) that likes to test us at every turn. 1 German Shepard (4 mo) who is way to smart for anyone’s good as she can open all our doors and gates.

And 1 Cane Corso Doberman mix pup so far he’s a good pup but he’s only 7 weeks old. We have tried everything to keep the other two in ( 8 ft chain link. Hot wire. Adding an inward incline at the top.

Burying the fence. ) but they always found a way out. We installed this fence 3 days ago in about 2 hours and have already introduced the dogs to it. Our gsd is already steering well clear of it. Our pit on the other hand is being more stubborn about it his color is is set at max and he is still trying to run through tho he bring himself back inside the barrier very fast once he crosses it.

So if you have smart stubborn hard to contain dogs. Just get it. You wont regret it.

I installed this system about 2 weeks ago and, have done some light training. I first tried the wireless system but, it had issues with coverage and dead spots in my yard. I have a miniature Daschund and I have found that she quickly learned the boundaries almost to the point of being gunshy of going out into the yard.

Probably my fault. The other system zapped her a few times and, now I’m going to have to back off and work into it more slowly. We had a problem of her running off and paying absolutely no attention what so ever to our calls, scolding or going after her.

Very frustrating, and dangerous to her going across the street not to mention also my wife and I get very tired having to go after her!!!!! At this point with only the audio she will NOT cross the boundary wire! Good for us and safer for her! Right now she has a problem with going out in the yard but, in time and as we work with her I’m sure she will regain her confidence.

The system was fairly easy to install, took me about a day to do it right. Toughest part I had was going across the 24ft driveway, several years ago I put caulking in the expansion joints and it was pretty tough to clean it out.

Had to go about 6″ at a time. I did mine above ground and, I did opt for 14ga wire, the 20ga that came with the system was way to flimsy. My choice because I like to do things thoroughly with no problems when I’m done.

Used almost 500ft of wire and about 160 yard Staples. Barely visible and I can mow over it with no problem. I think this system will do the job for what it is intended to do and way less expensive than having a fence put up.

I didn’t want to fence in my whole property at all. Just going to have to work more with the dog and, after awhile I’m sure she will feel at ease with going out in the yard. My wife and I will not have to worry about her running off and being injured when we are outside working or relaxing in our patio or deck.

Must say this has been such a deal breaker for me and my fur babies. Living in a country setting you think that life would be so easy. Teaching your fur babies that they can’t go anywhere they want was a struggle.

Yes there acres is alot of room for them to run but yet they never seem to want to run in the right direction. I was terrified that one day I would not be able to stop them and yet I couldn’t afford privacy fence or fencing at all.

Just out of my budget so I came across the basic in ground fence. This has been a game changer for sure. Must admit it does take some time effort and well a little extra materials to successfully set it up.

Overall the process was not as hard as I anticipated! I did get a little help from my father in setting up the area in which I felt was big enough and safe enough to let my dogs out without worry. The kit comes with easy instructions and majority of what you would need.

Placing the flags in the area in which you want your dog to be familiar with is key! I literally spent a full week a couple hours a day taking them out walking them on a leash within the area. This helped tremendously! Giving you dogs the knowledge and ability to understand what area is safe and what area might cause a little shock makes a word of difference.

It took my dogs roughly a week to learn where they were not allowed to go! The kit however only comes with one collar so it’s important to know if you have two you need to purchase another collar. I’m completely satisfied and now I’m not worried as much as before! I can let them out without being out with them.

Hands down awesome and a must have! The only suggestion I would say is that should sell kits with multiple collars otherwise definitely would recommend!.

This mat is a total game changer. We have 2 dogs, a home daycare with 5 kids in and out in the mud, snow and slush. This mat absorbs 95% of the mess. I was wiping up muddy foot prints what felt like 100 times a day.

I am now just lifting the mat at night to shake out the salt and everything that’s trapped in it and hanging it to dry, then giving the floor a quick wipe. When I first saw the price tag on the mat, I thought it was ridiculous, but then I decided to give it a try.

It is worth every penny!.

My cats are indoor outdoor cats and always track in either muddy paws or leaves on their fur. So I thought these mats would be great for the front door and by the cat door. Well for starters the cats don’t like the texture on their paws so they step or jump over the rug.

I’m new at having cats as I’ve been a dog owner for 16 years. Apparently very different as dogs are more accepting of things like this. My one kitty who likes pee pads to do her business instead of the litter box has discovered doing her thing on these rugs is like grass outside.

I discovered this only by smelling the stink when I was smoothing out the rug which had been scrubbed up by her or opening the door. Washing them has been a challenge to get the pee smell out and I wash them alone and hang outside to dry.

Especially after it smells like pee the other cats don’t want to step on it. The rugs are very absorbent. They durable and well made but don’t think it is a success on what I purchased them for. Sigh.

I’m thinking of taking one to work to place at the door inside at my office to prevent humans from tracking things inside and they’ll have to ignore the giant paw print on it or think I have an invisible dog at the office.

MUST HAVE for dog owners! We have 3 dogs and two of them are basset hounds with big old paws. I’ve probably gone through 20 different kinds of throw rugs – really – until I finally broke down and paid the extra for the Dirty Dog mat, SO GLAD I DID! It really works! Works well for my husbands boots after he comes in from the farm too.

I’ve had the train and contain collar for about a month it works very well. Pleased with the quality of the unit the collar is a little big compared to some of the others but I knew what I was buying.

The only negative I have so far is with the wire. out of 1000ft I was only able to use maybe 250ft of each roll. Somewhere toward the middle of the roll the wire sleeve had breaks in it. The closer I got to the end of the roll the more the sleeve had breaks in it.

it’s like it was pulled to hard or rolled to tight on the small spools. I ended up buy a extra 500 ft from the hardware store which is not cheap. The collar, the containment unit and the remote all work very well! I still believe the quality is worth the extra $$.

We have a 1+ acre lot that borders on a very busy road on one side and a large tract of conservation land on another. We bought this system to replace an invisible fence system that was about 20 years old that had worked well for several generations of dogs.

We now have a second property as well as two young dogs and wanted to ensure their safety at both locations. We shopped around and chose this compatible system so we could have two systems without having to get different collars.

Customer and tech support were excellent – we had questions about interchangeability of different systems, specifically the fence/training collar. The SportDog equipment arrived quickly and all in good order.

Instructions were clear and installation was relatively easy. Took about 1 day to clear brush through some woods, but mostly to dig a channel for the wire. Burying the line across lawn is hard work but worth it to avoid inadvertent breaks when cutting the lawn, snowblowing, etc.

We bought an inexpensive (used) small trench digger (basically a motorized spinning blade for edging) to cut a thin trench, then used a 1″ rounded handle to clear and bury the wire foot-by-foot, backfilling over the wire as we went.

We have trained for a week following carefully the clear instructions and the dogs arelearning quickly. What loses this product a fifth star is the 20-gauge wire. This wire is sooooooo thin and is not very durable.

We ended up reusing large stretches of the old line (20 years old), which was 10- or 12-gauge. Both the wire and the protective outdoor insulation were so much better in the old fence; our old wire was easily 5x the diameter of the 20-gauge There is a huge difference in durability, quality.

Regrettably, it seems that the “standard” wire this manufacturer (and the other fence companies) supply is the thinnest, cheapest that will work. If you have a simple suburban yard, it may be fine. We have long stretches of drops in the woods and cross driveways and other break “risks.

” If you do too, and can afford to upgrade the wire, do so. If not, be extra diligent in burying it and encasing it (tubing or pvc pipe where warranted) to minimize any danger of breaks. The upcharge was quite steep through SportDog to get better (thicker) wire.

You might do better buying the wire in bulk. The upgrade can be solid or braided copper and be sure to get wire rated with outdoor insulation. Likely much cheaper at your hardware store, online, or even used.

Overall, we are happy with the purchase. It has only been a week, but the system, flags, collar, rechargers, etc. appear of good quality, instructions are clear, and the programming is easy. The fence is for your pets’ protection – use it carefully and kindly, including by using the very lowest “stimulation” (really, electric shock) level necessary — minimize the pain/discomfort by taking the time to train your dog(s) per SportDog’s very clear step-by-step week-long training steps.

My review is on the Basic In-Ground Fence System by Pet Safe. This in ground fence system worked great for our little dog. The directions are well written and easy to follow. They offer several options for installation, in ground, above ground, with a fence, and around your garden and the trees.

They are thorough and easy to follow. After installing the unit, I tested it following the instructions, and everything was working. There are 5 levels of electric stimulus. The collars are fully adjustable for the shock level, and the controller adjusts the distance the collar starts to activate.

The collar has a separate adjustment for the level of shock; 1-5. The wall controller adjusts the width of the zone, 2′ wide to 10′ wide. If your collar is one level 1 (low) and the width is at 10 (maximum), your dog will not get a shock, only a low level beep.

You have to adjust the collar to 5 (high) to train the dog the first time. One or two zaps and the dog will learn to associate the warning beep with the zap. Then you adjust the shock level down to 2 or 3 for most dogs.

I have read that dogs need a visual barrier, they won’t remember the wire is buried, once they associate the visual barrier with the electric fence, they know it is there. I would recommend this in ground fence for your dogs to be able to run around the yard.

We have two German Short Hair Pointers that are inside dogs, we recently within the last year got a fence around the backyard. Well our male keeps jumping the four foot fence and goes down the block to visit with the neighbors dogs.

We’ve tried everything, but he is extremely hard headed and just won’t stop leaving our yard. I did a lot of research in forums and online, everyone said to try a in-ground fence system. This one has been such a life saver.

At first I was a little weary about how hard it would be to install. I looked up information online and read all the instructions, which were all easy to follow. The installation was super easy. It took most the afternoon to get it all in the ground and everything up and running, which is extremely worth it.

We’ve had it in the ground for a few weeks now and it’s been amazing. Our dog didn’t know what to think once he stepped over our property line but he quickly went back to our front yard. We only lined the right front area of our yard since that is where he was leaving the yard.

He hasn’t visited the neighbors since we’ve installed it. He has tested the waters a few times to see if it’s still going to happen, but he quickly realizes and stays put. Great system, easy to install, and it works really well for our dogs.

I hope he continues to learn that he can’t go over there and that this keeps working for us. Highly recommend if you have a dog that likes to leave the yard.

These are a must have to keep your dogs cool. I have 2 kennels for my Australian Shepard dogs, I have covers over the top and I also put them on the sides in the summer. They are so easy to put up. We live in a VERY windy area of the mountains and they hold up well.

I will never be without these!!.

I purchased the cover because my dog lost the tree that was shading his lot. This shade cover is amazing! It lets filtered light come through without the heat. It also sheds water to a point. I cannot believe how much cooler it is just standing under it! This product delivered everything it said it would do and more.

The install is so easy. I also bought the shade panels for the sides of my lots which work the same way as the cover. My dog is thunder phobic and the cover and panels have made him feel so much safer.

And by the way, Tractor Supply has the best prices out there for both of these items. I highly recommend both of these products. Cooper and I say thank you Tractor Supply!.

We put this together in about 30 minutes and my dogs love it. It is sturdy and well designed and I feel good letting the dogs play in it without fear of them getting hurt or knocking the whole thing apart like a regular fence could.

The cover comes with 3 vent openings that you only close with a single snap so they do not seal shut. When you start going down the road the cover let’s in a ton of air and it fills up like a ballon.

These covers will not keep your dog warm if you do not fix this problem by either installing Velcro or a zipper across these vents. I tested them with a thermometer to see how cold it got in the kennel before and after and the results were drastic.

I am talking 40 degrees drastic. The cover also doesn’t have a bottom but it does seal pretty tight on the bottom and you should be running a kennel pad in it as well. In -7 below going down the highway the temp in the kennel stayed at 63 degrees checked with a thermometer.

Disappointed that Cabelas continues to morph into BassPro. Cover arrived and is Red Head and not Cabelas. The cover, unlike in the past, no longer encapsulates the kennel. There is no bottom and has elastic corners to hold it in place.

The front corners frequently slip off. I guess in this case, they really don’t make them like they used to.

Cover works great and fits my XL air kennel perfectly–tight fit! Had a bit of a struggle getting the bottom cinch straps started, but once I did I had no issues getting everything aligned. Door zipper works great, and the cover doesn’t flap, even going down the freeway at 80 mph.

I really like the builtin handles–makes it easy to load/unload from my truck. Also like the snap options over the window opening to allow more ventilation when needed. Overall a nice product!.

Not free spinning. Top swivel catches on the metal spacers, preventing free movement with a 12 lb dog. Matching tie out line quickly became completely wrapped around the stake. Will be returning.

This worked with my small (60 lb) German Shepherd pulling on it in loose dirt, but I wouldn’t put heavier dogs on it that are going to constantly yank on it. It worked for what I needed it to work for and I am glad I bought it.

Great for camping, road trips, traveling, etc.

My dog was clipped to this product. She’s only a 45 lbs dog. The round metal piece you clip the cable to opened up and she ran off. Piece of crap. They should be ashamed of themselves.

We have an existing fence however our Chessie loves to dig and has at times escaped out from under parts. My husband dug out the perimeter of our existing fence and installed the wire and flags in about a day and a half.

Started Saturday morning and took a few breaks and finished Sunday afternoon. We already had an edger and spade so those tools are very helpful. So far we have only needed to use the tone only for correction and our dog has reacted well.

I feel on the lowest setting if he were to not stop digging that would be enough to get his attention but I feel more confident if I were inside and not paying attention and he tried to get out that this would keep him in the yard.

Easy to charge the collar. I like that if we decide to move or add to our family that it’s easy to take with us and not permanently in the ground. Just add another collar and you are good to go. Our boy is very smart so it’s only been about 5 days and he is already getting the hang of where he can go.

Very happy with this product and with the quality of this unit I know it will last.

Rolled the dice an bought for very old 10×10 non-Retriever brand kennel. Structural attachment is via 4 clamps similar to those in my old kennel that connect the 5/4″ pipe panel edges together, which allows sufficient tolerance to clamp onto probably any 10×10 kennel with such pipe at the panel tops.

Pull up the manual and check the details for your application. Quality seems fairly good though my application has it largely sheltered from the elements. My concern would be high winds and snow as it is quite similar to an EZ-up canopy in materials and construction.

I’m not sure the velcro attachments and stitching would hold up to sustained high winds. And although the frame is significantly heavier than an EZ-up, it’s still spanning 10′ at a relatively low pitch with pipe sections that snap together without tools.

Nicely designed but not designed for heavy loads beyond rainwater in my opinion Assembly was straightforward. I was able to do it alone but a helper would have made things much easier. The straps along the eave edges were a welcome addition to the velcro used elsewhere.

But even those used a plastic tension adjustment. I would describe it as “sufficient” as opposed to “over designed”. Overall I’m pleased with it. It doesn’t exceed expectations but meets them for the price.

My canopy is a little bunched up in the corner edges but that’s probably because mine is on a kennel it wasn’t designed for. I don’t think any one element could be upgraded to make it better. With a metal tensioner the strap stitching becomes the Achilles heel.

Use heavier thread and you need heavier canvas. Heavier canvas and the frame might be insufficient for the weight. So it strikes me as being a well designed system but the design parameters might fall short of the expectations of some.

Think of a higher quality EZ-up as a reference point of what you are getting. As a wild guess I’d expect no more than 2-5 years of life out of the canopy (UV degredation) based solely on similar looking materials over the years.

All in all, the cover does its job. Creates nice shade for my dog to be in when she’s outside. Just a few issues I have. 1. The tension wires: although they seem to work for a while, but with wind, rain, and snow, they soon start to sag which stretches and tears the canopy.

Support polls would be a much better solution. 2. I’m on my 2nd canopy in 3 years. After my first one tore, I spent hours trying to find a replacement. Come to find out, I needed to buy the entire roof assembly again just for the canopy.

I did not need any of the frame, so it just got thrown away. Seems to be an easy way to make money for the company and a waste of good parts not to sell the canopy separately. Again, it does its job, but these 2 issues should be fixed.

I feel like they go hand in hand to make the product better, save customers money, and not waste so much.

First the instructions for the tubing set up our fine. The tubing itself is good. But the canopy roof instructions and the canopy itself is absolutely horrible. As others have mentioned. , It does not fit at all! I did it on a very sunny day so that it would be able to stretch.

It does not fit at all. I don’t know if they had a problem at the factory with some and not all of the canopies. But it’s absolutely ridiculous that for what you spend it does not fit easily. If I could just buy the tubing and get my own tarp that would be great.

I am sorry to rate this one so low. This was the second rug of the same design I have purchased. The first one I bought several years ago and it was wonderful! When my first one began to wear out, I loved it so much that I bought a second one.

BUT, this one was poorly produced and the image of the dog is not at all like the first one, which is pictured. The current dog looks more like an otter or sea lion than a dog and is not a black lab.

I will be returning it, sadly. Note, I have also recently bought two other rugs with Liora Manne designs, and those two are just fine. I hope they correct the poor production of this one, because it is a favorite! :(.

The instructions on this mat say NOT to vacuum but as I use it inside my front door; of course, I vacuum it frequently. The reason vacuuming isn’t recommended is because the beater bar action makes the yarn fuzzy on top which destroys the sharpness of the picture pattern.

I used my scissors to snip off the fuzzies. It looked better afterward but it’s a lot of fuss.

I have a black golden doodle and a little teardrops camper. When I saw this rug I knew it had to be mine. It’s nice and thick, and very well made! I’m so glad I purchased this rug!

Item arrived quickly. The quality is supreme. Item was easy to install. Added tied down locations are a plus. I like the heavy duty stitching. Keeps my dog very comfortable while driving in cold weather.

I’ll start with the positives. Quality craftsmanship, true size. But I was really looking for something to keep my GSD dry and warm. Disappointed that the item soaks up the rain and then is a giant wet blanket.

The crate covers are made well and keep the dogs warm. Exactly what we wanted. I would highly recommend them.

This mat is washable, durable and color coordinates with the other rug in the room, This rug is used as an entry rug coming through our French Door from our deck. The patterning is very classic. We went to the store to place an order for this particular rug and were delighted they had it in stock.

We did place a pad under the rug to make sure the rug didn’t move any with the foot traffic from the deck.

I’ve had three of these mats in my foyer for over 6 months now and like them a lot. The brown color was nice with our luxury vinyl plank flooring. The mats collect the things from the bottom of our shoes when we come inside.

This is the function I wanted. Then, they’re easy to vacuum and clean up every week to 2 weeks. This is our high traffic area. I remember looking for, researching and bringing home a dozen mats. These have the durability, thick weave, residential style, color and practicality I was looking for.

I would definitely recommend. I purchased rug pads separately to put underneath and this has made rug movement or slippage a non factor. The value in these rugs are worth the price because I can see them lasting several years.

I’ve bought two of these. One I use inside in front of french doors where there’s alot of traffic in and out. The other outside on the patio outside the sliding glass door. They are just the right size and perfect texture too wipe off shoes but still nice to the touch.

They are very durable—show no signs of wear at all even though my cat uses them to sharpen her claws. They clean up easily–just wipe off.

I am military and recently moved with my 4 fur kids. I was anxious about not having time to reinforce our new backyard while deployed and stumbled across Dog-Proofer. I ordered and had it delivered to my new home so I could expedite installation upon my arrival.

I was surprised to learn how easy the fence is to install. even by myself if needed!!!!! I’ll definitely recommend this product and continue to keep it my dog digging prevention arsenal!!!!! Thank you so much Dog Proofer!!! You stumped all four of my fur kids!.

This product was such a blessing. My chain link fence is old so there were many weak points where my dogs could just push right under the fence. This product is super easy to work with and now my fence is completely secured.

I had a rabbit problem in my yard. The dogs would chase the rabbits to the edge of the fence and dig trenches. I needed something to secure the dogs in my yard. This is the best product ever! No more rabbits, no more trenches and I don’t worry about them getting out of the yard anymore.

I have aggressive breed dogs and would worry that they would get out and get shot by someone who was scared of them. They are now secure in my yard and I have peace of mind. Worth every penny.

I’m convinced that I (my dog) might have mis-used the product somehow. but this is what happened: My dog is a 50-60 lb (he was a growing puppy) outdoor pit terrier. When I first got him, I initially had him on the “Petmate Large Tieout Trolley for Dogs” which worked pretty well.

I noticed that after about 4-5 months the leash line (between the dog and run) was getting pretty kinked and frayed. So I bought this product in September. I thought maybe the leash in the trolley kit wasn’t for big/strong dogs.

I replaced the leash line with this one thinking it would be stronger, but this new tie-out broke after about 1. 5 months. The line got kinked and the plastic cracked, and it was not long after that, that my dog just chewed or pulled it apart.

I don’t know if it’s because of the unusual cold weather in the northeast lately that made it brittle? I’m pretty bummed. I opted to swap his leash line to a metal chain for winter which looks terrible :(.

We unknowingly adopted an escape artist dog and our fence is a 4 ft chain link so rather than risk losing her we bought this lead and it’s been perfect. She has the run of the yard, it’s heavy duty, but not heavy as far as a big hook weighing on her neck where it’s hooked to her collar.

The same clip is at both ends of the lead so we have one end wrapped around a deck post and clipped and the other end on her collar. The clip is secure, doesn’t feel like it will come loose from her collar.

It’s been the best solution for us. Our dog has the freedom to run in her yard and while we watch her when she’s outside, we feel confident that she isn’t going to get out and in harm’s way. We also don’t leave her connected to it for long periods of time so she’s not “chained up” in the yard.

I have a very stubborn hound dog and have had many types of inground electric fences. I was previously using PetSafe but the transmitter seemed like it was having trouble transmitting to the collar. I replaced the PetSafe transmitter with this new free spirit transmitter (KEPT THE UPGRADED HEAVY DUTY FENCE WIRE FROM PETSAFE WHICH WAS INTACT) and it is working great.

The one thing I don’t like about free spirit system is the collar is rechargeable via a split cord that also plugs in the transmitter box. my box is mounted in my tack shed which is not very convenient and you cannot buy a separate cord to charge just the collar.

It seems like the collar charge lasts an average of 3 days. FYI you can buy heavy gauge in ground fence wire independently which I would recommend. NONE of the underground fences come with decent wire it’s too thin and breaks.

Also a heads up I have Free Spirit set on a level 2 shock and it’s working great for my crazy dog whereas the PetSafe stubborn dog collar was up all the way and he still ran through it sometimes. So it seems pretty potent :).

I was a little skeptical even with the reviews. We have not had success on training our labs on electrical fences. Maybe they just wanted to be free. My sons dog blue is a husky American fox hound who when not tied up runs for days.

After our lab died we decided to try this fence so blue could be untied. It was easy to install we bought an extra 100 ft since we have 4 acres. We also went and bought white flags so we had enough. The collar is nice and charges fast.

We did have an issue with the charging plug getting stuck in the transmitter so we have to unplug the fence to charge the collar. Our dog took to the fence in about 5 weeks with no supervision. I would recommend this product.

It was so easy compared to ones we used before and now our dog finally gets to roam instead of being tied up.

It’s a great idea. We were setting the wire up around the yard and tested it to make sure it worked. The collar worked great. The wire is some of the cheapest wire ever though. It snaps at the slightest bend.

We now have a broken wire somewhere but we can’t find where the broken spot is because it broke under the plastic covering. If the quality of the wire was better it would’ve gotten 5 stars. But now it’s set up and won’t even work because of the cheap wire we were given.
