First off, it’s Permatex – premier supplier of automotive products for decades. This is good stuff. I have a 64 Buick. Had blue corrosion in one of the distributor towers and corelating spark plug wires.
The answer is dielectric grease to keep the moisture and crud out. Permatex was the first choice. Changed the distributor cap and the spark plug wires both greased up with dielectric grease along the seals.
Make maintaining your vehicle more convenient with the help of Permatex 0. 5-Pint Anti-Seize Lubricant. Applying it to spark plugs, bolts, oxygen sensors and other components makes them easier to remove for repairs and replacements.
It also helps when assembling axles for a motorcycle, making the parts fit together more smoothly. The formula blends aluminum, graphite and copper to prevent components from seizing, galling or corroding from the elements or exposure to chemicals.
This copper anti-seize lubricant also resists salt and moisture, making it safe and suitable for marine applications. It works in environments with temperatures reaching up to 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit.
As an older guy I’ve worked on alot of things in my life. But, when Aluminum cast came along everything changed!! Now I pretty much use this anti-sieze compound on most everything. It gets EITHER the anti-sieze or a cyno Loctite on the threads — depending on whether I need it to stay together for life or come apart easily the next time for repair.
I’m sure its an age thing for me. Neither Loctite nor this anti-seize compound existed back in the 60s. Still, both have the RIGHT use in the RIGHT place. I recommend this anti-seize whenever you’re putting a steel tread against aluminum.
When it comes time to pull it apart again you’ll thank me!! (The old buzzard mechanic was RIGHT!!).
It’s a little thick, and stains everything, but other than that, the stuff rocks. I use it on everything. Takes some discipline to use light dabs and not oversaturate fasteners. The large bottle is a great deal compared to my previous tiny tube.
Also the brush works well for doing the small dabs (although it comes out as a giant clump).
Had a couple of problems with items becoming out of stock, but tredz were very helpful and generous it getting me sorted with what I needed and I wouldn’t hesitate to order from them again. It’s grease for your forks! Being a complete novice with bike maintanace beyond oiling a chain, I thought I’d give my 8 year old recon silver its first service.
Good fun and well worth it! Seating fresh wiper seals was a bit of a pain but uppers and lowers all came apart and back together easily enough, well dosed with butter and it’s a massive improvement!.
I purchased this as it was one of the three fluids/lubricants that SRAM called for when doing a 50- or 200-hour RockShox Pike service. The 1oz tub seems to be a significantly better value than the 20mL syringe, though gloves may be necessary when applying the lubricant straight from the tub.
My first order with BikeInn and came intact and original Rockshox product. Great price on Internet for original product and delivered on time for my suspension and reverb services. Rockshox recommended grease which works great on all of my Rockshox product so ended up buying enough to cover all future services.
Rust and oxidation inhibitors Water resistant Excellent mechanical stability Long storage life Agricultural, automotive and industrial applications Lucas Red “N” Tacky Grease is a smooth, tacky, red lithium complex grease fortified with rust and oxidation inhibitors.
It has good water resistance and washout properties. It has excellent mechanical stability and storage life. It is able to withstand heavy loads for extended periods of time. It can be used in many agricultural, automotive and industrial applications.
Lucas Red “N” Tacky Grease is fortified with a high degree of extreme pressure additives that give it a True Timken load much higher than other greases of this type. Its especially good for sliding surfaces and open gears.
I use this to lubricate the pins, lugs, locking block, trigger assembly and chokes on my high end trap guns. It doesn’t run under high temperatures and lubricates very well over extended periods of use staying clean throughout hundreds of rounds events so no worries with possible galling on contact surfaces.
This is great grease. More expensive than other brands but I think is well worth it if you want to give your vehicle the best care. I use it on my tractors, trucks and trailers. Great for wheel bearings.
I grease the wheel bearings in my fifth wheel trailer every year because we average about 8 – 10,000 miles a year. When pulling the bearings out the grease still looks good. Not so with other greases.
Permatex Ultra Disc Brake Caliper Lubricant is a green, nonmelting, synthetic lubricant. It is formulated to lubricate under the most adverse brake conditions, assuring that metal to metal contact areas remain lubricated throughout the pad life.
For use on caliper pins, hardware, and the back-side of brake pads.
This container includes an applicator brush built into the lid. I use this on every brake job to insure calipers function smoothly and the brake pads are able to glide in and out evenly. I’ve noticed my brake pads always wear evenly and equally, front to back and side to side, with no grinding or squeaking.
Clean all the brake parts & pieces, pins, boots, etc, then use this during reassembly anywhere that the parts are sliding, gliding or rubbing to make sure nothing binds up or sticks, and to prevent parts rusting in place (like guide pins/bolts).
It frustrates me when someone volunteers to replace a friend’s front brake pads, then the friend comes to me 2 months later because brakes are pulling to one side or squeaking and I find out Mr volunteer didn’t use brake cleaner, or brake lube, or stop-squeak – just took the old pads out and put the new ones in.
So use this stuff and do the job right the first time. Also, this container holds the equivalent of about 50 of the little packets that are sold at the counter. Doing the math shows a 90% savings.
After years of using whatever was on the shelf, I sprang for this lube for my caliper pins. Using it for the brake pad friction points also. So far so good. One negative is the brush attached to the cap.
It has a bend at the brush end to fit inside the container and it’s difficult to use.
Use this product on all of my brake jobs. It’s part of doing the job correctly. Calipers need to be properly lubricated to insure trouble free and quiet performance. Remember though a little goes a long way so don’t overdo it.
Lastly, don’t forget the importance of cleaning everything before reassembly. Brake dust is corrosive and causes binding. Liberal use of brake cleaner will insure years of trouble free service. I like to work the calipers in and out before final assembly to insure that everything is working as designed.
One time, I discovered that one caliper was sticking. Had I not, I would have had to replace the rotors and pads within a few thousand miles as it was hanging up very badly.
Original pine tar and beeswax waterproofed and conditioner Will extend the life and appearance of your leather goods Our non-toxic formula contains no animal fats, synthetic compounds or preservatives Will not cause yellowing, stretching or deterioration of threads or leave a sticky residue Made with pride from food grade ingredients at our Arizona factory, safe for use with animals Our original formula has been in use for over 80 years, no need to accept lesser quality at twice the price from our competitors.
The mild formula is non-toxic and safe for use with your animals and on home furnishings that come in contact with your own skin. When used regularly, it will extend the life and performance of your shoes, sporting goods, work gloves, leather clothing and saddle and tack equipment by conditioning and waterproofing.
Remove any stains with our saddle soap and then apply the product with a soft brush, rag or fingers. Allow the product to sit for around 20 minutes then buff, if needed and remove any excess. If the product will come in contact with fabrics, wait an additional 15-30 minutes for the product to absorb completely to avoid any transfer.
Our shoe grease is recommended for use in heavy duty applications, it can be used with suede but buffing is needed to reinvigorate the nap after application. It may darken light colored leather slightly.
I bought my first can of Huberd’s Shoe Grease recently and applied it to my Ariat Work Hog boots. Three days after I did that I worked in the rain all day and I’m pleased to report that my feet stayed dry.
Normally I use Neatsfoot Oil or Mink Oil to waterproof and condition these boots. Both do excellent for conditioning but not that great for waterproofing. My socks always end up wet by end of a rainy work day.
Huberd’s has surpassed them both. It does darken the leather but so does the other two but on oil tanned leather work boots it doesn’t matter. Huberd’s is now my all time favorite waterproofing and conditioning boot grease.
Also it is easy to apply, just used my finger to put it on the boots and let it soak in overnight. Also apply it to the sides of the souls where the stitching is to keep cracks from forming. That happens on these Ariat boots and many others over a short period of time if you’re not applying a conditioner.
Huberd’s Shoe Grease has minimal odor and to me does not smell bad at all. It applies well at room temperature. It does leave a barrier film on the boot once it cures in place, I reckon that’s the beeswax coating that helps keep the water out.
This has the texture of car lube grease and can be applied much easier than the solid “wax” type boot treatment. The grease rubs easily into the crevasses, esp where boot meets sole. The only downside is that your boots stink like petroleum for a day or two, then the odor is gone.
The pine tar and beeswax active ingredients are carried in a low-volatility petroleum-based solvent of some sort. Huberd’s Shoe Grease does darken the leather some, also.
A 100% synthetic formula, coupled with real ceramic solids make this premium brake lubricant our longest lasting, most temperature resistant way to silence brake noise. Effective from -50F to 3000F (-46C to 1649C), this product maintains its lubricating integrity under the most extreme conditions.
Resistant to corrosion and contaminants, it will not wash out. For metal-to-metal contact only. For metal-to-metal contact only. Suggested Applications:Caliper pins, hardware, and the back-side of brake pads.
I was going to use this Brake Lubricant on my Toyota RAV4 slide pins. In fact I did. But, I am going to have to clean and replace it on 4 pins which have rubber near the tip. Apparently this lubicant CAN’T BE USED on RUBBER.
I have a rubber ring on TOYOTA RAV4 Brake Pins (Bottom pins) and this lubricant is not compatible (it makes the rubber swell and damages braking). I will have to use Sil-Glyde (Silicone Based) lubricant on those pins.
I also used this on the back of the pads, and on slide points which should be OK, based on what I have read. I’ll update the review if possible. Wish I had known that it can’t be used on rubber prior to use on the slide pins in a 2007 3rd Gen RAV 4.
I can’t seem to find any documentation stating this from PERMATEX (like the ingredients, etc), but, on various forums out there, SILICONE LUBE is recommended for TOYOTA RAV4 brakes. This is just what I have seen and experienced.
This works really well for metal to metal contact. It eliminates brake noise and squeaks by minimizing friction and vibration. I put this on all metal to metal contact points on my brake jobs. This lube is necessary for ceramic brake systems since they operate at higher temperatures.
It will stay in place and won’t run at high temps where regular brake grease and even synthetic brake greases won’t. These is rated for temps from -50 F to 3000 F. Regular and synthetic brake greases are only rated to about 600 F.
For parts that have rubber, like sliding guide pins with rubber bushings and rubber boots, I use silicone based lube, silicone doesn’t degrade or swell the rubber parts.
WD-40 SPECIALIST Superior Performance True Multi-Purpose Grease is the only grease youll ever need a versatile solution with properties even lithium greases dont offer. Reliable at temperatures above 650F, it also provides marine-grade water resistance and protection against rust and corrosion.
Engineered for high-speed and heavy-duty applications, True Multi-Purpose Grease is an excellent choice for maintenance of farm and contraction equipment, as well as lubricating machinery in damp conditions.
Formulated wish calcium sulfonate technology, it is interchangeable with other WD-40 Specialist greases without compromising performance through cross-contamination.
My first project with this grease was replacing our boat trailer’s wheel bearings. Replacement went smoothly and I look forward to using a product offering providing lubrication, water resistance as well as rust and corrosion protection for a trailer that will spend a fair amount of time around water.
My tractor maintenance is due soon and I will be relying on this WD-40 for my greasing needs. Once spring rolls around, I will be going through the workshop and our property putting this grease to use.
What sets this apart from other greases? It works under extreme pressure, at high temperatures (other greases may melt at higher temperatures, creating a safety hazard/machinery malfunction) and provides water resistance.
It is probably overkill for some of my intended uses, but I would rather be protected by a brand I have known and trusted most of my life than have my machinery and equipment prematurely fail. Not all greases are compatible with this grease (ie.
those of a different base type), so make sure you thoroughly remove old grease prior to installation, if applicable. You will need a degreaser to complete this task effectively. Pick up a WD-40 degreaser as you buy this grease.
While this was meant to be used with a grease gun, you could get by without using a grease gun for some projects. The uses are unlimited and I would recommend for all households.
This product is outstanding and performs as instructed. I had the opportunity to apply this grease on my furnace blower motor that had become quite noisy. I usually heat the home to around 69 degrees and wanted to use a product that will function effectively at this and higher temperatures.
I have been running the furnace constantly for two weeks and it has been running with no more grinding or screeching noises. I made sure to remove all the old grease before applying the WD-40. This will insure consistency of the applied grease.
This is high quality grease and should not be co-mingled with other grease applications other than WD-40 to ensure outstanding performance against corrosion and moisture. I highly recommend this product and give it a 5-Star Rating; I expect this product to deliver long term consistency.
I also used this product on my bicycle chain, bearings and pedals which resulted in less friction and reduction of metallic noises. Best part of using it on a bicycle is it’s water resistant and protects against corrosion.
You’ll find this product will play an integral role in keeping your mechanical devices well-greased and protected.
This WD-40 Specialist True Multi-Purpose Grease is the all around best you can buy. It has so many uses, such as tools, automobiles, hardware and so many more. I use it almost daily. Either to keep my tolls protected and in good working order, or to keep rust from forming on steel.
It is a lubricant, protectant, cleaner, and makes things last a long time with regular use. You can even dab a small bit on a door hinge to stop it from creaking and it will take care of it. Any place where lubrication and protection from rust is helpful, this is the product you want to use there.
This superior general grease is fortified with molybdenum disulfide to provide excellent extreme-pressure and anti-wear protection for disc-brake wheel bearings, chassis, suspension and universal joints.
Provides extreme-pressure and anti-wear protection. Lubricates at temperatures ranging from -10°F to 275°F. Ford M1C75B; NLGI LB.
Used to re-grease the bearings, hub, and backing plate for my 1973 Mustang drum brakes. High Temperature grease is always the way to go and Valvoline has a strong reputation for it. Bearings repacked smoothly and everything runs 100% smoother.
Very nice grease. I use it on my steering column and it no longer makes funny squeeze sound. I also use it to lubricate my garage door spring and rail. It quiets down the movement tremendously. It’s very thick grease even at room temp.
I don’t have the plastic glove so I use a clear plastic bag, I reverse it so the inside without any logo or print is used to apply the grease. When applying the grease this way, It will touch the surrounding area even if you are careful.
Just wipe it afterwards with paper towel or a rag.

Super Lube Grease is a patented synthetic, multi-purpose lubricant with Syncolon (PTFE). Synthetic base fluids and the addition of PTFE micro powders combine to form a premium lubricant that provides protection against friction, wear, rust and corrosion over a temperature range of -45F to +450F.
Super Lube Grease is a USDA/NSF listed Food Grade lubricant NLGI-2, rated H-1 for incidental food contact, and will not run, drip, melt or separate. Compatible with most other lubricants, Super Lube outlasts conventional greases 3-4 times.
Purchased this product for its dielectric properties which I needed to lubricate electromechanical stepper unit contact rivets in older pinball machines. After cleaning the rivets and then applying a very thin coat of this super lube to the contact rivet points, the stepper operation is smooth and the conductive properties are very solid.
I was in need of a proper lubricant to lubricate a plastic bushing that slides against a metal guide. Other greases containing mineral oils (like vasoline) are detrimental to plastic (will make them brittle over time), and greases and oils containing solid particles don’t work as well.
Most greases also attract dust and create a gunk that is scraped off the metal guides after little usage. This adheres well to both plastic and metal, doesn’t make the parts stick, offering little to no resistance to sliding.
I have tried various things over the years to make silence on various hot water on/off handle units and have never found any that work for more than a short time. A few times I have even just bought a new faucet unit.
That is until I purchased this Super Lube Synthetic Grease. Ever since applying it the noise has not returned. If I had been keeping track of the time for each product used before this (which I haven’t) I am sure this product has out lasted all of them together.
And if it keeps working as I hope it will, I will have finally beat the hot water handle SQUEAK! Thank you.
Open up clogged grease fittings with the Grease Buster. Simply fill with a solvent and tap the piston with a hammer. Updated design includes a textured grip and two o-rings. Manufactured by LockNLube in the USA.
My experience with Lock N Lube seemed quite smooth. I ordered a grease buster tool and some kroil to use on a recently purchased backhoe. After filling the grease buster, I did as instructed and tapped the plunger on the tool.
One fitting loosened after minimal effort, while I let the other one sit overnight. I worked at it for about 10 minutes before letting it sit. All in all, it helped clear both of them in the end. Thanks!.
A little cumbersome at first, but that was just me. I filled it with kroil penetrating oil. Tapped with a heavy hammer and watched the piston go down. Put the grease gun on the fitting and pumped the grease in with ease.
I would say it worked excellent for my situation. It’s good to have the grease buster on hand for future clogged fittings.
The one that started it all. Elbow Grease Original is the oldest sexual lubricant on the market today! The Original formula hit the market in 1979. Elbow Grease Original is a mineral oil based thick cream lubricant.
Its viscosity is exquisite. The Original formula has been a favorite for years and continues to exceed our expectations as the best seller! Elbow Grease Original is a safe, long-lasting premium lubricant specifically designed to enhance your sensual experience.
Elbow Grease Creams should only be used with polyurethane condoms and should not be used with latex.
This stuff is the best!!! I think there is no better personal lubricant on the market especially when combined with Swiss Navy or Wet Platinum Silicone Lubes. Elbow Grease is a MUST HAVE in your supply chest.
This stuff is AWESOME. Its nice and slick and it doesnt dry out fast so you dont have to keep adding lube. One of the big tubs of this lube will last a good while. It washes away nice and oder free with just some simple soap and water.
Formula 5 pre-lube from Energy Suspension will form a tough, durable film of chemical resistant lubricant that will prevent metal-to-metal contact even under the most severe conditions. Formula 5 is waterproof, non-melting, and contains Teflon.
You only need to use a small amount of Formula 5 to properly lubricate your Energy Suspension bushings and the metal components to prevent corrosion and premature wear.
This stuff is great! It’s so sticky I can’t see it ever coming off of something it’s on. It’s hard to get it off your fingers. I had to use acetone to get it off and that really didn’t do it. I finally had to use carb cleaner to get it off my hands.
All that means is it stays on whatever it’s on. I keep it on my work bench in my shop and it’s hot out there. I looked at the thermometer yesterday and it show it to be a hundred degrees. I looked at the stuff in the tub and it didn’t look like it had thinned out at all.
Maybe a tiny bit. My point is this prelube will hold up under all kinds of extremes, so use it with confidence.
Formula five urethane bushing lube is the best that you can find. It’s sticky compound and attributes ensures that it won’t wash off and will last for years to come. I have not found anything better for urethane bushings.
This is the only product I recommend and will use for my suspension upgrades. It comes in a 1/2 lb tub and is plenty for your suspension needs. You will need plenty of latex gloves as this compound is difficult to wash off of your bare hands.
That’s the point, you don’t want it to come off. You will not be disappointed.
A high quality multi-purpose lubricant to withstand extreme friction and also providing added water resistance. Can not be used on needle bearings or other internal engine parts. Priced individually sold by the case.
Great Product! Super adhesion properties and saltwater-proof! Ideal prop-shaft lubricant. Many other uses too! Eliminate shift and throttle linkage bind. Lubricates Trim/Tab pivot points. Seriously reduce wear-causing metal-to-metal contact with this excellent product! The PTFE provides the barrier and saves you $$$ in repairs.
Your boat is worth the investment of buying this lubricant!.

It doesnt smell! It has no negative qualities that are so prevalent of others, I could go on, but the best thing anyone could do is use it themselves. In my case I hated the smell of white lithium. Especially in an early Ford Mustang interior, the heat just magnified the problem.
This made driving the car unpleasant. I got the idea from Resto Garage on you tube, the host Mr. Ford, restores old autos. He just recommended it on a show. Im so glad I listened! In my car Im using it to grease window roll up mechanisms.
I bought this grease for repairing my Kidchenaid stand mixer professional plus 5. It was a refurbished one. After three months use the worm gear worn out. I couldn’t trust the design and the original grease anymore.
So I read a lot of review and wanted to try this grease. A couple of days before the machine failed, the mixer was getting hotter and hotter and then I could smell burning wire from the mixer vent and heard high pitch metal sound.
All these were telling me that the machine was going to die. After installed the new parts with this grease and used this mixer as the style before, the temperature of the housing is just a little bit higher than the room temperature.
It is much better than the mixer just came in my house. It has no more burning smell although the operation sound/noise is still loud. I hope this grease will stay long and protect the gearbox even better than the mixer standard.
I decided to get this small container of silicone grease as I felt it would be good to have on hand. Eventually, I purchased a pen that would be great for eyedropper conversion and knew I needed some silicone grease.
I watched the videos and saw how to go about lubricating the threads. Once I had the pen (and grease) in my hands, I realized how LITTLE grease you really need to lubricate the threads. You really only need about the solid equivalent of about one [liquid] drop.
And once it is on the threads, it will last! So even if you choose to clean the pen and change the ink, you can still use the same grease that is on the threads (maybe with a little bit added but again, not much!).
Be careful not to get this stuff on clothing or furniture; it is hard enough to get off your hands. If you have latex or nitrile (my preference) exam gloves, use them for this job. Overall, you get a lot of grease in a handsome little case.
A staple tool if you are going to own fountain pens. 5 stars out of 5.
This stuff is awesome, just don’t use it in place of the thinner lubricant TWSBI ships with the Vac 700R. Although TWSBI calls their lubricant “silicone grease”, it is more of a liquid (it actually comes in a small dropper bottle, see photo comparison with Goulet grease).
I suppose the Vac 700R needs a really tight seal for its vacuum-filling magic to work. That may account for the lighter-weight lubrication TWSBI recommends. If you lubed your TWSBI with Goulet grease and got poor piston performance, clean it up and dribble on a bit of TWSBI’s lightweight lube.
The conclusion of grease for tie rod ends is that it is important to regularly inspect and grease these components to maintain optimal performance and prevent premature wear. While there are many different grease formulations on the market, it is important to choose one that is compatible with the materials used in your tie rod ends.
