At least in my limited experience, I didn’t realize what I was doing wrong until I spent a great deal of time at an indoor range that gave me more data on my swing – Driver and woods feel fragile. the shafts are a bit whippy even for my “average” club head speeds, and I have already had to replace my driver as it cracked on the head.
To be fair, that may primarily be my fault for fatting the driver a few too many times. – Putter is eh. I may not know what a premium putter should feel like, but this one definitely feels. hollow and soulless, if that makes any sense.
In conclusion, I absolutely do not regret getting this as my first set. Though it is very tempting to start upgrading the rest of the clubs after replacing my driver, I know that these could last me for at least 2-5 years before I outgrow them.
This set has also made me quite the believer in Wilson gear. If I had to do it again and my budget was in the same range, I absolutely would pick these.
I bought this set last year to get into the game a little more seriously. This set gives you a great start. The irons are solid and still useful as Ive improved a great deal. Are there better ones available? Absolutely but they will cost you double this set for the irons ONLY.
The woods however are just so-so. I really didn’t like the feel of the driver and its not quite the quality that the irons are. I did end up replacing it with a Cobra F Max and it dramatically increased both my accuracy and to a lesser extent, my distance.
The 3 wood is slightly better but very similar to the driver. Ive figured out that the included hybrid is a #5. It is steel shafted while the driver and 3w are graphite in my set. The pros: Quality, good feeling, and forgiving irons Sand and pitching wedges are included (though it would be REALLY nice if they had included the specs on the wedges, so you knew what loft you were using) Decent bag Very nice stock grips on every club Good quality blade style putter included with a larger mid-sized grip.
Cons: The the driver. The distance gap from the #5 hybrid to the 3 wood is pretty big. You definitely should have at least 1, probably 2 more clubs in there eventually to fill the gap. Overall, a very nice, quality made set for a great price.
Id have paid the cost of the whole set for just the set of irons.
I ordered this set of Wilson Ultra clubs expecting a decent looking set of “beginner” clubs. I have not hit any of the clubs at the time of writing. I am 20 years out of golfing and I would say these clubs appear to be very worth the purchase price in aesthetics alone.
The set is made in China. The Driver and Fairway wood have graphite shafts and the Hybrid thru putter are steel. The bag seems of sporting quality (durable) and the auto deployable legs and shoulder straps are nice for walkers.
The paint seems decent (a couple of runs or bubble spots but nothing of major concern or in places that would interfere with play). Overall I think an intermediate golfer would be satisfied with this set and I look forward to hitting them soon.
I did not order extra length shafts with this purchase. I am 6’2″ and shaft length doesn’t appear to be an issue. This order was shipped free delivery from Walmart via FedEx and delivered without damage and a day earlier than expected.

I purchased this set about a month ago. I have not played golf for over 25 years, and just got back into the game. Wanted a good quality set without breaking the bank. You cannot go wrong here. Made by Callaway, the Strata is a decent set starter set.
The irons are solid, the hybrids feel like quality, and the 3 wood also feels and plays great. My only complaint is the driver and putter, which are both so so. I dented the driver on the heel rather quickly, however Callaway sent me a free replacement (one model up Strata Tour) which to date has been holding up, however I do plan on buying a quality driver later down the line.
The putter was also just ok, so I already purchased a better quality Oddysey putter. This set also includes both a sand and pitching wedge, four head covers, and a fairly decent bag. This is a no brainer purchase if your are looking for a complete beginners set.
By far the best beginner set on the market, and yes Strata is made and backed by Callaway!.
Played about 8 rounds and some time at the range so far, just started golfing a couple months ago and got this so no longer had to rent clubs. Very happy with the irons and hybrid. The driver is fine too just a bit hollow sounding, I can see how beginners could break this but mine is fine so far.
Love the hybrid, you can hit some real nice shots with it and sounds fantastic too. The putter I probably will replace but that’s more personal preference, definitely notice it getting beat up in the bag though.
The bag itself is alright, the pockets and zippers feel like that cheap old school bag but so far so good even with it filled up. Straps are comfy and all lighter than i expected for a budget set. All in all for the price in very happy with everything and would recommend to anyone getting into it or needing a set without breaking the bank.

I have to commend the Robin team, and specifically Jason L, for their great customer service. This was one of the best online shopping experiences I have had recently. Though I ended up returning the set, the Robin Golf team were as courteous and efficient with my return as they were when I purchased the set.
After playing several rounds with the set, I decided to return them. I just needed a few more clubs to complement the 5H and 3W that came with the set. Overall, the set was good and I would recommend it to anyone starting out in golf or plays occasionally.
But I think if you’re an advanced beginner / intermediate player playing 4-5 rounds a month, they may find themselves in my situation. The putter took a little bit of getting used to from a feel perspective, but I imagine that’s what it would be like with any change in putter.
And I don’t practice my short game nearly as much as I need to. The wedges were very forgiving. I felt like I was able to make better contact with the ball and had slightly better control of my distance.
The 7 and 9 irons felt okay, but I just didn’t get the same distance as the previous clubs I used. And I couldn’t quite get comfortable / consistent using the 5-iron as I had been using a hybrid previously.
5H and 3W felt good and I was able to make solid contact consistently. But as I experienced with the irons, just the lack of distance as I had gotten from my previous clubs. Driver was my favorite as I actually gained distance overall.
I tend to hit more fades / slices, but this driver helped to straighten it out a bit. Even when I missed the fairway, I was not as far offline as usual. Bag was stylish and lightweight, just wished there was one more pocket that I could dedicate for balls vs just having the two big side pockets.
The Robin set is a golf package that is simplicity at its best. so my review will be also in bullet form The Good 1-Only what you really need to play and enjoy the game 2-Easy to hit high long 3-Clubs look very good and attractive 4-Excellent quality head covers, probably over kill.
5-The stand bag bare bones does the job. 6-Classic putter very nice. 7-Customer service is excellent. 8-Return was easy and painless. In my case the flex of the shafts where to soft. If they where at least closer to a stiff I would have kept them as a travel set.
The things to consider. 1-The finish of the clubs do not hold up well when compared to the more expensive counter parts. This is even after the second run with thicker paint. Not a show stopper but for those who care how their clubs look something to think about.
2-The adjustable weights on the driver do very little to add MOI to the driver head. either heavier weights or an extra weight would help. 3-The adjustable hosel does help with directional control by adding loft or an upright adjustment, but its modest.
4-If you are an aggressive swinger regardless of experience you will sky rocket these clubs. The shafts are good for what they are intended to and that’s easily get the ball airborne. Men’s stiff is their stock stiff.
in practice it is equal to a soft regular. 5-The current demographic for only one measurement is too wide. In the future they will go with some custom clubs at least with length. Over all they are a very good set and really what you need to play and practice.
as your skill improves you can fill in those gaps by mastering partial swings or adding clubs? who knows Robin may offer a fill in set to complete the set. By that thought the price may get too high as there is competition offering both full and partial sets,.

I was looking for an in between golf club set for my taller 12 yr old. He had outgrown a Callaway youth set. A local shop told me about this intermediate set that was a little longer but he said there were none available anywhere in the country.
After an internet search I found Golf discount. I called and they picked up right away and confirmed they had 13 sets in stock. Within the week I had the set. After the first use the bag strap separated from the top of the bag.

You get what you pay for with these clubs. I bought them a year ago so i would have a set of my own rather than some hand me down clubs. I used them for around 3 months before my driver head snapped off on my last tee shot of the year.

I’m left-handed, so finding a set of clubs is a bit more challenging. The Tour Edge Bazooka 370 set seems great, though I’ve yet to use them. I haven’t played more than a couple of rounds in the past 20 years (used to be a mid-80s golfer), so I’m excited to try these out.

My wife and I purchased these golf clubs for my granddaughter’s first set of golf clubs this Christmas. My granddaughter hit these golf clubs very well for her first set of golf clubs and on her first round of golf on a golf course and pared (2) par 3’s while visiting my wife and I in Florida.
My granddaughter had only hit on the driving range and a few shots on the golf course using men’s golf clubs until now. She loved everything about the golf clubs including the color of the golf bag and headcover.
The clubs work well so far and Im excited to use them more, however the image shows that it comes with 9 clubs but it only has 8. Its just misleading. But its still a great set for a great price. Only slightly disappointing.
Great clubs for the price except that the 7 iron is not marked properly. Looks like a backwards L. Other than that good clubs for a first starter set. Questioned the company about the marking and they said if you hold it against the 6 iron it looks like a 7 only the one side is longer than it should be.

As an older beginner to golf I was looking for a set of clubs for a smaller woman. Im very happy to have purchased this set. I found the grips are very comfortable, the length of the clubs perfect for my height and the graphite shafts very light.
I bought this set delivery time was within days how ever my putter and driver was damage and the waiting time for return would be 4 months so not best pleased.
