Gold spray paint for wood is a paint that is specifically designed to be used on wood surfaces. It can be used to create a variety of different looks, from a simple gold finish to a more elaborate design.
Gold spray paint is typically made from a metallic paint, which gives it its distinctive color.
Add sparkle to your decorating with Dazzling Metallics, the brightest, best-covering metallics anywhere. Available in a vibrant array of bright, glittering colors from delicate translucent pastels to deep, rich shades, and nothing comes close to the beautiful, rich dazzle of Glorious Gold.
These products require no heat-setting and perform beautifully on wood, fabric or virtually any craft surface and are non-toxic. Dazzling Metallics can be squeezed, splattered or brushed onto the surface of your choice.
DecoArt metallics are great for adding an extra touch of glamour and elegance to your special projects.
I’m fairly new with acrylics, so wondered if the metallics were worth it. I’ve tried Deco and Folk Art. The DecoArt has exceeded my expectations with the amethyst (not the same as purple — lighter shade) and silver.
Usually need only one coat. The color has a beautiful shine, and it isn’t even the “premium sheen” I’ve seen. Be aware there are many shades, depending on store. Oddly, this paint doesn’t work well with iridescent Dragonfly glaze, but it’s fine on it’s own! Since I can’t verbalize everything, I’ll include some pictures.
See captions for more understanding, but first is painted black rock, second regular value acrylic vs. Deco metallic, third Deco vs. Folkart metallics. (It may be due to colors picked, but the Deco impresses me more.
) The price is great. Win-win. Can’t wait to use for more projects.
This was an absolutely beautiful rose gold color. I used this to paint a wood monogram of my first baby’s name. It is the perfect amount of shine, just enough without reflecting the ceiling fan lights, the color against our sage green well works perfectly in our nursery! Could not be more thrilled.
PLUS the bottle is HUGE. We bought 2 but only ended up needing half of one bottle. Excellent purchase!.
I absolutely LOVE Deco Art Metallic Paints!!! I got the Pearl White. It’s the perfect white with a hint of shimmer. I use for acrylic pour art, and it really makes each painting pop so much more!! I’m already almost out, so I’ll be needing to make a trip to get more soon!!! Of all the brands of paint I’ve used over the years, I love the Deco Art Metallics.
They are reasonably priced and the quality is amazing. Forever customer!!.
This is a 1/4oz bottle of gold enamel paint from Testors. Testor All purpose Enamels are fast drying, easy to apply and can be used on many kinds of surfaces. Finely ground pigments mean superb flow and coverage.
All colors are carefully controlled from batch to batch and each bottle color exactly matches its corresponding aerosol spray color. Testor bottle and aerosol spray enamels are all lead free.
I’ve used Testors paints since I was a kid for models. The paint was always high quality and long lasting without fading over time. Now my use for the paint is more for touch up work on statues and other things around the home.
The various color paints I ordered arrived quickly, and well packaged in bubble wrap since they are in glass bottles. (about a dozen different colors and a large bottle of thinner) All the colors looked new and fresh.
Ready to mix or use as I need. There was only one small jar of (rubber) colored paint that would not open with a reasonable twist, and I will have to get something grippy to try and get the lid off. So I couldnt tell from the outside if the paint was still good inside yet.
Testors paints are very well known for their caps to be a real pain to remove once opened, IF you dont clean off the edge of the bottle well before closing them up again. (recommended anyway, to keep the seal and your paints from drying out during storage sooner.
) Other than a single troublesome jar (in a color not used very often) I am happy with the paints. None were drying out or looked (chunky) as they might after sitting too long on a shelf with poor climate control.
Though adding a few drops of paint thinned to the paint, and stirring it a bit will often restore the paint to usable form. Just don’t add a lot, If you do you might have to apply more coats to get the colors looking best, or leave the mixed paint in an open bowl for a few to allow it to thicken back up a bit before applying.
For my first purchase from Blick, I am very satisfied that the Testors Paints look like they should and was pleased with their fast delivery. Thank you Blick.
This paint is Best applied with an air brush. But you must have patience and let the paint dry before handling. You can stretch a small bottle a long ways, with thinner. Don’t use Home Depot’s brand.
Use the Testors brand for thinning your paints. It meant to work their paint. If you have to brush on a coat of paint, warn up you paint, just Holding it in you hand will work, plus you can shake up your paint at the same time.
Paint straight out of the bottle, way to thick, you need to thin down this paint. I use the eye dropper rule. Here’s where your old testor paint bottle come in, in a clean glass bottle I add my paint, 1/4 new paint then its starts at 5 drops of thinner.
Make sure you have the right thinner for you paint: acrylic paint acrylic thinner,. Enamel uses enamel thinner. Very important. Thin you paint 5 drops first mix and test. Test paint and see if paint goes on smoothly and spreads out without high spots, you want it to lay flat on you part.
Add 2 additional drops until your happy with the consistency. Till next review.
I absolutely love all of the colors of this brand of paint, Testors. It’s like a little bottle of gold and with every brush stroke, it goes on beautifully. It dries fast, doesn’t run, and the colors that are available would make a rainbow jealous.
With Folkart Treasure Gold you can create stunning decor pieces by adding an intense metallic sheen with FolkArt Treasure Gold. This water-based, non-toxic formula provides all of the glam without any noxious odors.
You can use FolkArt Treasure Gold on a number of surfaces: wood, paper mache, canvas, metal, glass and glazed ceramics, paper, and terracotta. This paint also works well on acrylic-painted or stained surfaces.
Please note that porous surfaces, such as plaster and bisque, should be sealed or basecoated prior to an application of FolkArt Treasure Gold. FolkArt Treasure Gold can be used to decorate indoor and outdoor surfaces without the need to topcoat the finish.
FolkArt Treasure Gold will dry to the touch within one (1) hour, however, it will take approximately 48 hours before it is cured to non-glass surfaces. Glass and ceramic surfaces should be baked to cure FolkArt Treasure Gold.
Folkart Treasure Gold is available in a variety of colors. Your projects will look like theyve been dipped in pure gold!.
This paint was EXACTLY what I was looking for to paint the trim on my doors. I was going for a chateau look and after about 3 thin coats, I got the desired metallic effect. The paint itself is very thick and not runny at all.
It was smooth and easy for me to apply and believe me, I’m NOT a painter! I’m absolutely in love with the color payout as well. It’s a TRUE gold. Not a bright, yellow gold or a rusty brass color. It’s like a gold brick.
It’s absolutely perfect and after painting three doors, I still have plenty of paint left over. Worth the price.
I bought this to paint some trim on a desk I was refinishing. At first, I used a small paintbrush and it was streaky. Then I tried a sponge applicator and it was still streaky. Then I used a bigger brush to apply a thicker coat (twice).
I’m not sure if it was the tools or if it just required a few coats but the finished product was beautiful. The color was just right and it matched my new hardware exactly. Very pleased. It would use this again.
Take on a remodeling project with the Krylon chalky finish spray paint. Spray this chalky finish paint on flea-market finds, worn-out furniture, or home decor pieces for a delightful chalky appearance.
You can also use this blue waterfall paint to give your furniture, mirrors, or photo frames a vintage, distressed look. Your work surface does not require a primer, as this paint offers superior adhesive qualities.
This waterfall spray paint comes in a 12-ounce can and dries to a long-lasting finish in 1 hour.
My daughter picked out some wooden letters from Michael’s to spell her daughter’s name and ask me if I could spray paint them for her. So I purchase this to spray paint and when I tell you that I am super please with the outcome! After the letters dried they look so smooth and silky I actually went back to Michael’s to purchase more letters for my other Granddaughter I can’t wait to paint her name as well.
I have purchased the brand of spray paint for my canvas painting their gloss spray paint! I will note that I did this in my garage and I used a face mask for the fumes and left the letters in there a few days it was great the weather back here is in the 20’s and my garage is probably colder than that.
This paint is decent if you’re in a pinch and can’t get ahold of any Annie Sloan. I used a foam roller for the majority of the dresser and it worked well. It did need 3 coats but luckily you can re-coat after an hour but I waited a little longer.
It was kind of clumpy even after stirring multiple times. It ended up smooth after I sanded between coats. I haven’t tried Krylon before but the Anvil Gray is a darker blue with hints of gray. Totally now what I saw in the sample photos.
I personally am okay with this but it’s definitely not what I expected. Im not sure if this applied to other colors so just watch out.
DecoArt Americana Multi-Surface Acrylic Paint – Gold is a premium, satin finish, indoor/outdoor acrylic paints are 100 % water-based, non-toxic, and self-sealing – No primer or varnish required. Permanent and lightfast pigments with superior flow and levelling characteristics.
Perfect for all surface including wood, canvas, plaster, resin, poster board, terra cotta, metal, glass, fabric etc. Intermixable, blendable, easy to clean paint; durable, hard finish that is highly resistant to cleaning chemicals once fully cured.
The product description accurate; I love this acrylic paint! I bought the shade ‘dark scarlet’ to paint a white picture frame of a, let’s just say mysterious material. It adhered perfectly and did not scratch off like some other paints.
Once dry, it feels amazing. I didn’t even use a clear top coat like I usually would have because I loved it so much as it was, I didn’t think it needed it. It is not as dark as the photo online, more of a crimson rather than the magenta/maroon that is shown online.
It is a gorgeous, rich color. I will definitely purchase more from this product line in the future.
Since Delta Creamcoat changed owners, the quality isnt as good. I’ve switched to Americana. Don’t kniw why I haven’t sooner, quality is wonderful for an acrylic! Not watery, colors are pretty comparable to Delta’s.
I won’t mention names, but nothing compares. I refuse to use any of the cheaper brands.
I bought this to freshen up a bird that is on a downspout cover. It is a finch, so I wanted to freshen up the yellow color. It took just two thin coats to give it a good coverage. The signage in the store said that this product was good for outdoors and it was a better price than the “outdoor” paint.
Almond Rust-Oleum Professional High Performance Protective Enamel provides a tough, attractive coating that withstands heavy duty environments and is supplied in 15 ounce aerosols. This commercial quality finish maintains consistent, corrosion resistant color, despite the elements.
High Performance Protective Enamel ia fast drying for both indoor and outdoor use. It is durable and corrosion resistant. For best results use a Rust-Oleum Professional primer first, especially on bare wood or metal.
I have used the “cold” galvanized gray from Rust Oleum but wanted a brighter silver for this application. The bright gray is more of a brighter silver galvanized look and I’m happy with it. The only thing is, this is hard to find in stores and when spraying I found there to be lot’s of large metal flakes floating in the air so be sure to wear a mask and maybe goggles.
The “Cold” galvanized paint didn’t have these flakes when spraying. Strange. Both the cold and bright are really good products.
This was an excellent choice. I used it on a lamp that was previously gold. It was solid black and shiny. I didn’t use it on my tables because I thought it would be too black so I went with their less extreme black paint which worked perfect.
I did wipe the surfaces down first with water and paper towels and let dry them primed with Rust Oleum grey primer.
I love the Rust-oleum brands of assorted paints! The brand has copy cats but for all of our outdoor painting needs we always stick with the brand that works much better than the rest. There are cheaper alternatives but none that will work as well and cover as evenly.
If you have things outside that are metal and exposed to the elements, Rust-oleum can protect them from rust and corrosion. I use the products on any and everything that we store outside. From wheelbarrows, to lawn furniture anyone can easily apply and get great results.
I have tried the paint and spray in a can and always have had great results. I like that it only needs to be done once and the metals are protected fully from rain water and snow. We dont have a lot of storage available so we always try to give our metals a coating so they last a long time even if they are left outside without cover.
We also painted our ladder racks on our work truck and some metal on our mud jeeps and its been years since they were treated with Rust-oleum and they are still holding up great. No rust has come through and they still look like they are freshly painted.
If you go to any hardware store its almost guaranteed that you will see a store brand with a claim that the product is comparable to Rust-oleum and I reccomend skipping the other brands and paying a little extra for the real deal.
I tried the store brands in the past and it never did work as well. I highly reccomend people use this if they have metals outside exposed to the elements and Im sure nobody will be dissapointed with the results they get.
It is a bit more expensive then other brands that promise the same results but I know for sure its worth spending the few dollars more to get the better product. A little goes a long way and you dont need to be a professional painter to use it.
Its easy to apply and will last for a very long time. Its highly available in hardware stores and home improvement stores. It is somewhat expensive but worth the cost.
Create the beauty of traditional leafing with brush-on ease. Easy-to-use paint combines an undercoating with metallic color for a brilliant, long-lasting finish. Use on wood, metal, glass, ceramics, paper, plaster or plastic.
Can also be used as an ink or spray. This is the paint that the IOD sisters call “Stinky Gold Paint” lol it does have a strong odor but not lasting. It creates a really nice gold luster to your crafts.
You can transform and surface. Add it to IOD air dry clay, on picture frames, I like it on glass too. *Please note the pictures to read any cautionary statements. 75 oz.
The Gold paint is pretty fantastic! Beautiful color, great coverage, and high quality. Nice, sleek finish, and exccellent for those tiny details. Be aware though: If you want to seal your project, you have to seal it, and then apply the gold over the sealed coat.
Otherwise, if you apply the sealant very last, the gold will turn this blah, tarnished tone. But that’s because this is meant to be a finisher for details, etc. Because of this, I would not recommend this paint for any food-contact surfaces.
The Silver is truly horrible. I bought a second bottle after opening the first one, thinking that it was maybe a defective batch and not intended to be that thin and watery. Nope, second bottle from a different Michaels in my area and the same result.
Very glittery, but it doesn’t have the same sleek finish that the gold does. The oils in the paint pool along the surface and leave very unattractive splotches. It looks cheap, stinks to high heaven, and leaves me very unsatisfied with the end result.
I would rather apply 10 thin layers of silver acrylic because it would still dry faster and smell much less offensive than the silver gilding paint.
I previously used liquid silver leaf by Plaid. I couldn’t find any, but I saw this bottle in the same section, for a similar price, and with branding clearly meant to imply that it’s a comparable product.
So, desperate to finish my project, I bought it. Ever have those moments that, in hindsight, you remember in slow motion? That you mentally add a sad soundtrack and a voice shouting “Noooooo”? This product is pure disappointment in a small glass bottle.
It’s more like watery silver glitter suspended in oily fumes. The smell will knock you over, especially as you lean over the 5th coat (roughly 6 hours after the first, soul-crushing coat introduced you to disappointment) desperately hoping that this time it will dry looking like silver, not speckled oil.
Meanwhile, even painting outdoors (risking dust and grass in your work that will take five more coats to cover up) the fumes are so bad. I found myself holding my breath and vividly dreaming about removing my nasal cavity with pliers and sandpaper.
I wished I could close my eyes, but then I’d just spill sticky silver glitter over the whole project. At least if there was decent coverage I could pretend it was supposed to be solid silver, but no.
Just sticky, oily, and a bit glittery. I kept my eyes open, but then I had to see each disappointing stroke. In the interest of fairness, after 5 coats, it did finally look acceptably like silver. However.
Using it was an awful experience and the quality is sub-par. I’m throwing away the brush I used instead of cleaning it, just in case it was contaminated by contact with the paint and now thinks that’s the level of quality I expect from my tools.
If I was given a lifetime supply of this product, I would never use a bottle. I’d sell it, have a zero returns policy, and include a letter of sincere apology with every purchase.
I was hoping this could replace the discontinued silver paint from Liquid Leaf, but other than coming in an identical glass container, it’s nothing like it. This paint is so thin, almost like shiny water even though it isn’t water based.
I’ve used coat after coat, and it still isn’t covering, and it’s leaving so many brush strokes. Super disappointing. Definitely one to avoid.
This satin spray will dry to the touch in 10-15 minutes and will fully dry in two hours. It has a soft, appearance and is permanent when dry. It is non-yellowing, moisture resistant and smudgeproof. You can recoat it anytime.
The spray tip requires less force than other products and there is less overspray. Each 11 oz. can provides up to 20 square feet of coverage. It can be used to spray over wood, metal, plastic, papier mache, glass, plaster, ceramic, dried or silk flowers, paper and wicker.
Easy to use, the material conforms to all safety regulations.
I read a good review on this to use in a fairy garden. You use Outdoor Mod-Podge on your little house, fairy, or whatever. Then you spray it with this to keep everything from fading in the sun. Be sure to get matte rather than glossy.
You may have trouble finding it. Krylon must be having production or shipping issues. I have not tried it yet, so this is secondhand knowledge. The guy specializes in fairy gardens. Krylon also makes a UV spray for artificial flowers.
I believe it says floral on it. Sometimes it is with the spray paint. Other stores have it with the flowers. I use it on the water resistant flowers that Michael’s sells for cemetery decoration.
I believe this is a solvent based spray, it contains ketone(s) (I’m not a chemist). So always, as with anything, test this product on small sample before coating a precious object or artwork. Krylon makes a variety of spray based top coats, some are meant for specific things like coating drawings or photographs–be mindful that these specifications are useful to you.
If you use this particular product, do it outdoors or in a properly ventilated (spray booth or the likes) room. Always wear a respirator. Let the object you sprayed off-gas in ventilation or outside for at least an hour.
It is likely to smell for up to 24hrs–and this stuff smells like poison. That sweet smell is the ketone, and yes it’s terrible for you. All of this said, when used properly, this product will produce a near bullet proof finish that protects against scratching and supposedly will not yellow.
I have objects that have been coated for a few years and seem to be holding true to that claim. If you are looking for a more conservation friendly “varnish” use Golden spray varnish or the likes. This has no indication that is it engineered to be conservation friendly.
Be careful. Be thorough. Make cool stuff. #sweepstakes.
The Krylon brand has been around a long time. Over the years they have diversified their paint from can only paints to spray paint, spray primer, as well as a multitude of extra ordinary spray products.
You can choose from matte, gloss, mirror finish, frosted glass look, clear finishes that act as a protector for the painted product and this, my favorite UV-Resistant Clear Acrylic Coating. I used this on my galvanized container for the front porch.
There is not a lot of sun where it is placed. Someone may have a front door that gets sun most of the day, this spray will give added protection to a wreath hanging on their front door.

An all-purpose, premium quality acrylic paint used for decorative painting, home decor and general craft painting projects. Americana is water-based and non-toxic and has a matte finish that can be varnished to create various sheens.
Highly pigmented. Excellent one coat coverage. Smooth and creamy paint with rich, true colors that blend easily. Dry with a durable finish. Lightfast. Soap and water clean up. This versatile paint can be used on almost any surface.
Paint on wood, canvas, plaster, resins, papier mache, candles, walls, tin, leather, Styrofoam, ceramic bisque, polymer clay, watercolor paper, or poster paper. Americana Acrylic Paints come in 2 oz. and 8 oz.
I love to paint mandalas. I’ve been doing it for about a year, and in that time, I’ve tried a lot of different acrylic paints. DecoArt Americana has the perfect texture necessary for creating dots that are consistent and uniform for a markedly longer time than other acrylics of the same price range.
The key is to mix it with a long wood stick when you first open it. After its first mix, the paint retains its cohesion and gives a superior performance—which is very very important when you’re trying to make everything look identical.
If you dot paint, you should absolutely try DecoArt Americana Paint. And Cadmium Yellow is a great one to buy first, especially for beginners—you can use it as the “pollen” in the center of your “flowers.
I believe I’ve already reviewed this. However, I’m happy to say again, having been a bit of a paint snob all my life I would only buy my art paints from big name art stores, but recently I needed larger amounts than artists’ tubes, smaller amounts than from a house paint store.
(I’m doing specialty artistic paint finishes on furniture. ) Googling 8 oz. acrylic and latex paints I stumbled on Michaels on line. (The closest store is six hours away from my small town. ) Certainly worth a try.
I received my order and was more than pleasantly surprised with the quality and ease of use. I’ve used this straight, and mixed with other colors and the results are nothing short of stunning. I’m truly surprised and happy with these paints, will continue to order.

I am so glad I added this brand of paint to my stash of paints. It is a good quality paint that does well when used on articles that are outside. I put an exterior seal coating over it and I don’t have to worry about the weather.
It usually covers in one coat which makes the project’s completion faster than letting paint dry and having to apply another coat. And, the best part is the number of colors that are available. I can usually find just the right color that I am looking for.
I would highly recommend this brand of craft paint.
The color is super vibrant which is nice but I had to do do multiple multiple coats to get it to not be transparent. I used it on wood that is meant to be outside and it definitely does cover up any blemishes on the wood, but it just takes a while to get there.
It dries really fast though which helps speed up the process of applying so many coats. I gave it 4 stars because this specific finished color is nice, and I didn’t really mind the coats, but it did take extra time.
Other patio paint colors by DecoArt are great and 5 stars.
Needed a small amount of touch up paint for a piece of furniture I have on my outdoor patio. Michaels had the product I needed. I only needed a small amount so the size Michaels had was perfect and a large range of colors to choose from.
I needed a apple green. Was very easy to apply and matched great. Dried quickly and reasonably priced. I am a happy customer.
Product DescriptionDECO ART-Americana Gloss Enamels are available in your favorite Americana colors with a beautiful gloss finish. No primers or sealers are required! Ideal for brush, stencil, or sponge.
An easy one-step application makes Americana Gloss Enamels a great choice for decorating glass, tiles, glazed ceramics, and other non-porous surfaces. They can be baked in the home oven for added durability.
2 oz. bottle. Conforms to ASTM D4236. Made in USA.
I use these paints for creating mandalas on wood, ceramic, and Santorini stones and tiles. They make nice “bubbles” for my mandalas and the paint dries quickly which is nice if doing double or triple dots.
I find my dots don’t “deflate” either after sitting for several days and they stay solid in shape and structure. I love that because some of my other paints will crack after a few days of drying and the “bubbles” will start to flatten down.
My only complaint is that I wish there were even more colors to choose from. If that happened, I would by all of my paints in the gloss enamels.
Americana Gloss Enamels from DecoArt are wonderful paints. I do Mandala work on canvases, rocks, poured molds and glassware. In addition to their highly pigmented hues and slightly glossy finish, these paints are Multi Surface paints as well making them one of my favorite paints to use.
I Highly recommend DecoArt Americana Gloss Enamels for your mandala or crafting needs!.

If you want a little pizzaz with your art then this is the paint for you. Mix it with a little additive of your choice and you will get results like you can’t believe. I use the Sterling Silver in all of my blues and the 24 karat gold in all of my other colors like bronze and deep hues.
They cause such cells to form that raise the bar on all of the colors that you put with them especially the metallics. I love all of the Deco Art products especially the Extreme Sheen colors which I use extensively with my artwork.
Testor All purpose Enamels are fast drying, easy to apply and can be used on many kinds of surfaces. Finely ground pigments mean superb flow and coverage. All colors are carefully controlled from batch to batch and each bottle color exactly matches its corresponding aerosol spray color.

So I’ve seen this color Lime Gold Metallic get a bad rep for it’s color. But it’s usually because the color was applied directly over the wrong base color or directly on top of just a primer. This is the wrong use of the color.
This color best shines over a base coat colors such Gold, Silver, Orange, Yellow or even Green. These are the colors that really help give the Lime Gold the right look with the paint. In a sense the Lime Gold is somewhat Transparent and need’s the right base color to help it show through right.
Painting it over just a Gray primer coat is going to give a muted weird color with it. Over White is too bright. It needs a good base color to make it pop. And that is exactly what this color is about Pop! There are so many nuances to the color when you move the model car around.
It almost has a Color Shift type effect to it. You get tints of Green and Yellows pop through the metal flakes. The Gold it’self still shows as the dominant color but not enough to take away from the Lime color.
With enough coats of clear on top, that also helps to really bring out the shifting effect it has. The key with the paint is this works best when Airbrushed and thinned down. Paint Brushing it on can work but it doesn’t let the true nature of Metal Flake to shine.
That is the only reason I would give this 4 stars instead of 5 is most people might buy this using it as a brush on and may not be able to appreciate the true nature of the color. Overall though, it is a great color and paint to work with.
It does cover nicely and dries durable enough when given days to a week to fully cure. I have never been disappointed by the color itself or the formulation of the paint.
Apply to wood, metal, plaster, masonry or unglazed ceramic. Made with real metal leafing flakes. Thin to large spray patterns in the tip mix. Metal flakes in the paint produce a bright, shiny metallic look.
I bought this to paint the legs of my restored cast iron bathtub. I don’t have pictures, but the legs really set this bathtub apart from all others. It’s become a conversation piece for anyone who sees it.
They don’t mention the great job I did in refinishing the inside and outside of the tub, but they can’t stop talking about the beautiful copper legs, most people asking me if they’re really copper legs.
Stand out by blending in with the Rust-Oleum range of Camo Paints. Delivering an ultra-flat, non-reflective finish that helps your surface fade into the surroundings with ease, this aerosol camouflage paint is suitable for painting a wide range of materials including non-galvanized metal, wood and more.
Great for delivering a unique finish on your project car, or helping make your props and decoys a little more realistic. With an easy spray 360 nozzle dispensing a finish that is dry to the touch in just 20 minutes, you’ll love the result with the Rust-Oleum Camo Paint.
Rustoleum Camouflage works well and encompasses a nice flat finish with excellent coverage. My only deduction is that it lacks durability. Even after proper prep and dry time it still comes off with the slightest abrasion.
I tried baking at 200F for a few hours, this did help but not by much. It works great for firearms if you aren’t trying to cerakote.
The Rustoleum range of camo paints are very good. Just to let you know, preparing the surface you are going to spray is important, be sure to read instructions on the can and follow them. I have sprayed my Rav4 completely with these paints.
I use this spray paint on everything from plastic military models to home projects. Really lays down nicely with an excellent, smooth finish. A true flat paint with no mount of gloss whatsoever. Very dark green and close to color on can’s cap.
PintyPlus Chalk Finish gives you an Ultra Matte Finish with a Velvety Smooth Appearance. Chalk Spray Paints come in a wide range of decorator colors that bring out your creative side and give that vintage look to furniture, crafts and curios.
Ideal on wood, melamine, canvas, iron, plastic, cardboard and even glass. No aggressive solvents, means it’s safe for use on expanded polystyrene. The environmentally friendly water-based formulation offers maximum coverage, fast drying and soap and water cleanup within the first 15 minutes.
This is the first time Ive ever used this brand. It was very low odor compared to Krylon and Rustoleum, and it dried incredibly fast! I was thrilled when I read that it is a more environmentally-friendly formula, and it also washed off my hands easily once I done.
I will definitely order more when Ive used these up.
My first time using Pinty Plus ,chose Pale Turqoise, colour exactly as shown ,good value, great colour, excellent coverage, some really gorgeous colours available I will definitely be using Pinty Plus again after my first very favourable experience.
There’s gold in them thar hills, as well as in this paint pot. This is a bright, true metallic that is the color of a pure gold nugget. Formulated for airbrush use, but may also be hand brushed. Shake a lot.
Like more than you think. Make sure the tip is clear before you squirt. Use appropriate base coat color. The bottles say which base coat is best for said color. Apply in 2-4 thin layers. Do not try to apply in one layer.
If the paint pools you are going too thick. Colorshifts may be layered over each other, but it is suggested not to mix together when wet.
I love this stuff! After spraying several thin coats through my airbrush onto a black primed surface, I couldn’t be happier with the results. In natural light the color shifts between gold, brown, and a hint of green depending on the viewing angle.
The finish is very reflective as well. Unfortunately photos just don’t capture what the eye can. You have to see it yourself.
I like this paint a lot. I sprayed about 4 thin coats over a white primer using an airbrush per the directions. You can brush it on too, but I haven’t tried that. (Keep in mind that this is the only Turbo Dork paint that sprays over a white primer, the rest go over black).
It’s very pearlescent and has a subtle pink to green shift. I think it would look nice on something like Eldar. I tested it on a cheap mini (video).
I bought this paint for some of the more magical creatures in my mini collection, and I have to say that it has been everything I expected I prefer hand brushing, and this paint went on in one easy coat.
It dried fairly quickly, and now my Fairie Dragon looks exactly like I thought it would. Definitely $$$ well spent. I may have to add some other shades to paint collection, just in case.

I bought this yesterday to paint a standard internal door 2040mm x 720mm. I only needed to paint one side so all up it worked out to 1. 43 square meters. The information on the can says it can cover up to 4.
5 square meters. I’ve followed the preparation instructions. Shook the can with the ball rattling. Prepared the door with sanding to take the gloss of the old finish and rubbed through to the MDF in a few spots.
All good according to the instructions. I apply one light coat on the edges and the flat surface and that was it. The can was empty! Also the 2X cover is lucky to be any better than a standard spray paint.
Do yourself a favour and buy good primer and use fiddly bits for the top coat. I’ve used the Rust-Oleum metal paint and never had an issue with it. Very disappointing.
Rust-Oleum 2X doesn’t disappoint. It covers bare steel and becomes tact free in about 30 minutes allowing for multiple coats if needed. The spray can has to be held vertically when the can has about 10% remaining.
Otherwise the pickup tube won’t deliver the last crumbs of paint in the can. With a little care the cans are fairly empty when they run out of pressure. A good paint that isn’t fussy about the condition of steel or other material to be coated.
I purchased this product to spray paint pumpkins!! I was thrilled with the results and the brilliant red I chose looked amazing with the birch trees and branch arrangement in a rectangular box on my porch – neighbours were surprised to see them and several commented on the colour.
The pumpkins were initially a brilliant yellow – and when spray painted lasted for several weeks after hallowe’en – a great transition to the winter season. I would do this again! Just make sure your spray paint area is covered up really well!!.
Rust-Oleum Imagine Metallic Spray Paints are designed to provide a rich, shiny, reflective finish to any decorative or accent piece. Paint is formulated for interior use only and contains real metallic leafing flakes to create the brilliant look.
To avoid dulling the finish, do not use with a clear topcoat.
I’ll start off by saying the color is gorgeous. However, it caused an absolute mess. When I tried to open the cap with the screwdriver, the paint wouldn’t stop spraying and it ended up all over my hands and damaged part of my outdoor furniture.
It was a nightmare. I saw only a couple other reviews like this, so maybe just bad luck and a faulty bottle? They should either make opening instructions clearer or change the packaging. Not worth the chance in my opinion.
I’m really disappointed and won’t be purchasing again unless the spray nozzle/cap are changed.
This product is a high shine gold metallic look, the tone is very close to real golden tone. The cap is a bit difficult to take off but it’s childproof for sure. Letting it dry fully overnight is best.
I touched it after a few hours and ended up smudging it. And the price is great! Under $5. 00!.
Great value and the perfect shiny gold I was looking for. Bright vibrant gold, not that dark vintage look. Great price and still have lots left after my project. Painted a metal armadillo figurine and with a few lighter coats it looks great! Pretty quick dry time as well.
Gold spray paint is a great way to add a touch of luxury to any wood surface. It can be used to create an elegant finish on furniture, or to add a bit of glamour to a plain piece of wood. Gold spray paint is also a great way to add a bit of color to a room without having to commit to a full paint job.
