I was looking for a bread that my dad can eat with his dietary sodium restrictions. We’ve been buying Ezekial bread which is good but it’s very course and crumbles in my dad’s hands when he’s eating a sandwich.
So we thought we’d take a chance and order some Angelic bread on-line and must say we are all very satisfied with the taste, texture and freshness upon arrival. It’s finer and soft enough that it doesn’t fall apart in dad’s hands, and is more appropriate for a sandwich bread than the Ezekial.
And although it’s No Salt Added, it still has 25 mg of sodium, and I personally think anyone would like it, whether they are sodium restricted or not. When I ordered, I also sent an email to the company and the owner responded the same day with a thoughtful and lengthy reply.
It’s obvious that they care about their customers and are making an effort to make a quality product. So we will be ordering again for sure!.

Upon receiving the bread, it’s really hard. So I was skeptical on it. I decided to try it toasted first with some butter, and when I took my first bite I was very pleasantly surprised with how amazing it tasted – I really could not tell it was gluten-free! I made my husband try a bite and he is really picky, and even he said it was really good and he couldn’t tell the difference! So next I decided to try it plain, without it toasted… I was not a fan of the crust, it kind of had an off-putting texture, but I DID love the middle part.
It’s kind of sweet in taste but not over-whelming at all. I feel like it would make a good sandwich IF you cut the crust off…. I say you should give this bread a go, especially if you’re new to gluten-free products! It will not disappoint!.
My family has been eating Canyon Bakehouse bread for years due to our gluten allergy. It’s never failed to be fresh and soft. Recently they went through repackaging and the texture of the bread is very different.
My 5 year old’s lunch would come home from school with her sandwich untouched. She then told me the bread is too hard to bite in to and it doesn’t taste the same. Our last 3 loaves all had this issue.

they all have the basic ingredients of tapioca flour potato flour and rice flour in some combination. this bread is different in that it has better flavor, is firmer, and toasts well. I haven’t gotten the courage to eat it without toasting it but that’s okay.
Tips: Everything bread will add great flavor to your sandwiches, it pairs great with tuna or chicken salad. Just like a tasteful everything bagel, just fewer calories! Serving Suggestion: Thaw & serve or toast slightly for a crispy crust. Keep frozen until ready to serve.
My take on the Everything bread is that it tastes like an everything bagel, which is delicious. However, the bread came with a hole in the corner of almost the entire loaf. It didn’t hold up as a sandwich, my husband said it fell apart and he had to eat just the contents.
I tried lightly toasting it and it still didn’t work. It is yummy as croutons, which is all I can do with it. Rather surprised because I usually love all their products.

Eban’s bakehouse gluten-free breads are the best breads I have encountered in the many countries I have lived. They are made with excellent ingredients. One slice can sustain you for many hours, compared to the many inferior products out there that a lacking in sustenance.
Furthermore, other products are packed with sugars making them far too sweet. This product is just right! My supermarket stopped stocking it and because there is nothing else as good out there, so I now buy it online.
It takes a little extra planning on my part, but it is worth it. The bread is always delivered quickly and well packaged and protected.
1st time trying Ebans. Highly impressed with the way it was packaged. We immediately put individual slices of bread in sandwich bags and froze. Be prepared to do so since there are no preservatives. This bread is moist.
We only eat it toasted, even for sandwiches. Consistency is better than other brands, not crumbly, not gummy.
Have you tried our new baguettes? Not only are they delicious and nutritious, they are also so easy to use! These baguettes come in packs of two and each roll is individually wrapped perfect for school, work, or just a delicious meal at home.

I recommend warming these up a bit before eating – which makes a huge difference in how soft this bread is. I personally don’t feel you can tell these are gluten free. They are soft and textured just like normal bread.

I’ll be honest. If this bread was in a blind taste test, I doubt many people would buy it. It tastes okay, earthy from the whole grains and legumes. but it’s extremely dry. I buy this bread because it makes me feel better.
Its somehow calming and filling more than other breads and gives me more energy. It’s like I can feel the healthiness. I feel kinda crummy when I go back to other brands now. But wow is it dry. Super dry.

Based on the generally positive enthusiastic reviews, I bought five loaves of this bread at one time to take advantage of a sale. Big mistake! Many reviewers commented that compared to other breads, the loaves from the Essential Baking Company are great.
Well–that’s not saying very much, because most other gluten-free breads I’ve tried are frankly awful. So what was wrong with this bread? One, it has a peculiar aftertaste. Two, it falls apart if you don’t toast it.
Three, when you do toast it, even if the outside is perfectly done and crisp, the inside remains mealy and mushy. All of which add up to a poor value, as the loaf appears to be a half loaf rather than a full loaf–there’s only one end piece and the other end is the size and appearance of a slice that’s typically in the middle of a loaf.
The gluten-free bread from my local chain tj grocery store is much better (and less expensive) than this bread! If you can’t find anything else, I guess this will do in a pinch. But even the bread I make myself, with almond flour, is better–and more cost-effective–than this.
Some pluses to this bread product include the shelf-stable packaging, the crunchy seeds, and the sandwich sized slices. I like to keep it on hand for times when I run out of my regular bread choices and can’t get to the store right away.
Once it’s opened, I store it in freezer and pull out only the slices I need. Some things I’m not totally happy with in this bread are the amount of added sugars and the texture, which is very soft. It’s a personal thing; I prefer denser, firmer breads, but they’re hard to find in the GF market.
Toasting the slices really helps and actually enhances the flavor of the seeds. Overall, I give it a good rating because it’s a product that I’m sure would please the palate of many GF consumers. I will buy it again.

Didnt purchase multi grain but purchased regular gluten free ciabatta. It says on the package to heat at 400 for 6-10 minutes. These were amazing, toasted shell on outside and soft bread on inside. I purchased for my husband, and we both loved them.
Would not know the regular gf ciabatta was gluten free bread. Im hooked now. Fixed hamburgers on them, ham and cheese, etc.
This gluten free bread product is not readily available now at retail stores. It’s an excellent gluten free product. The Ebay price was a little more than at the Retail stores, but worth it to get the rolls.
