I was looking for a glue for leather to repair my beloved leather wallet. It tore at the seam where my ID and most used cards reside and I didn’t like the split at all. I went to Walmart and looked in the craft/sewing section and almost missed this gem.

It was with the jewelry making stuff and I read the package and it said it can be used for leather. I was skeptical cause I always need glues for unusual stuff and most of the time they don’t work. I tried Liquid Stitch for this repair before and it failed though it worked for a few months.

But liquid stitch takes 24 hours to cure! This stuff was literally INSTANT! I put some on the seam and pressed it together and BAM! it was stuck together again! In fact it was such a good adhesive it glued the corner of my driver license into the wallet! It took me 10 minutes of struggling to finally get my ID out of the wallet.

I had left the cards in the area so the gap of the seam would be just right and not too hard to pull the stuff out. It definitely works! Even after all that desperate tugging on my ID I thought for sure the bond would break on the seam but it held intact.

I’m glad I found this stuff. I’d definitely wear gloves though when working with this glue, it’s one of those that you can literally glue your fingers together and rip skin off. I didn’t do this but I got a tiny bit on my finger and realized I was lucky I didn’t press two fingers together.

All in all this stuff is AWESOME.

the bonding of this glue is good but it does make a little mess. it gets all over the out side of the opening of the tube. then its on your fingers. it dont wash off you got to wear it off. but it does do good on the binding and drying fast.

i am buying it again.

This jewelry glue is very easy to use. Adheres to your jewelry piece you are trying to fix. The amount of glue you use is easily controlled and it dries very quickly. I would purchase it again.

This adheres very well and dries fast. For small pieces that you might handle as you apply, these qualities can be problematic. Your fingers will stick together and stick to your project unless you separate them very quickly.

And when applying items to surfaces, place it once or you’ll have a white smear on the surface where you first placed things. But it is useful to have the applicator tip for small items and if you don’t handle what you’re sticking down, you’ll be fine.

I used this product to glue gems to the front of a compact (mirror). It worked really well to adhere the gems to the mirror but unfortunately, it dried cloudy. It totally negated the shininess of the gems.

This would work if it’s unlikely that you’d see the glue when using it, but if using it to glue something clear (gems) to something metal, you’ll be able to see the glue when it dries.

This glue works well for what I needed. It is a little thicker in consistency than than what I expected. It comes out easily and did not clog at the opening when I used it the following day. It creates a good bond.

Yesterday, I purchased a package of LePage “Epoxy Steel” from a local Home Depot, and after arriving home & set myself up to use it, found that the lighter-coloured side of the tube was hardened in the tube, thus rendering it unusable.

I returned to the Home Depot where it was purchased from, and exchanged it for another package of the same product, which I took from a new & unopened box. After returning home, I again set myself up to complete the project, and once again, found that the same issue existed with the second package that I had just received.

To confirm that it wasn’t a fault of my own, I stuck a long nail into the end of the tube, and found that the product inside the tube was hard. Today, I visited another Home Depot, figuring that Home Depot(1) had perhaps received a bad shipment, and that I’d rid myself of this hassle by buying the product from another location.

For the 3rd time, after arriving home & setting-up to epoxy my item, this 3rd tube was again, bad. I continued to purchase the LePage brand because I truly believed that it would be a superior product.

Never again, will I waste the time, energy & gas money that I’ve spent in purchasing these defective products, by buying another LePage product. There is no way that I, as one person, am the only one who’s coincidentally received 3 defective products from 2 different locations, and its disheartening that LePage wouldn’t have pulled these products off of the store’s shelves rather than making innocent customers like myself, go through the hassle and expense that I’ve had to endure by giving LePage the benefit of the doubt.

I’m thoroughly disgusted.

I bought two packs, and both were so dried up and hard that even after thinning it with acetone, I could only barely get one use out of it. I was so glad I’d ordered two sets, but when I tried the second package, it also was not usable.

Trash.

Like another reviewer stated. I received this recommended (from a home depot worker) product and discovered the yellow tube side of the 2 was also hardened. I took a nail and poked in and managed to squeeze some product out.

Now I don’t know if this will affect the curing and strength but this already is a subpar product for that reason alone. I just did the curing today and although it states cures in 8 mins I found the epoxy was still tacky.

I will leave it for as long as I can today before testing the strength on the bond tomorrow. Ill try to write an update on how the product holds.

Two failures at first. First effort glued well, but the dishwasher (too soon?) ruined my effort. Second effort failed because I didn’t clean the surface from left over glue from failed first attempt.

Third time worked well. I probably won’t chance dishwasher. Too much effort! It is evidently a sensitive substance. In all three attempts I used the substance generously, ignoring the suggested amount per square inch.

I think this rule of thumb is not helpful. My surface, a broken glass foot was very narrow and not long. But I decided to at least touch the entire surface with the glue.

Loctite has always been my go to for adhesives. so when I had to glue a glass post to brass, I knew it was not going to be easy to find anything that would work. WRONG! After cleaning both pieces (brass with sandpaper, and glass with alcohol) I put one drop of Loctite Glass Glue on the brass, and pressed the glass on it for 60 seconds.

Then I let it cure for 24 hours. Perfect repair, solid as a rock!.

I’ve had mixed results with Loctite products in the past. It seems as though they require an exacting procedure and a certain type of break in order to work correctly. This “glass-repair” variation, though, worked quite well to repair a difficult break — a delicate extrusion on a glass sculpture.

After a week — and another blow to the repaired area that I feared might have caused the repair to fail — it’s held up pretty well. So I was pretty happy with the results.

After 40+ years of doing many different types of simple DIY jobs around the home (and using Lepage PL construction adhesive), this product by far surpasses it. Gorilla glue holds & binds to every known (dry) construction material surface: lumber, natural wood, pressure treated lumber, MDF, wood composites, cement, brick, steel, aluminum, styrofoam, resin plastics, rubber, ceramic tile).

Dries fast, no smell, and NO toxic off gasing, so you can easily use this product inside any home where fumes from petroleum based solvents are an health issue. Easily washes off your hands with soap & water.

I now only buy my glues from the entire Gorilla product line. After years of using other products, that either failed to hold, or took too long to dry, and really smelled bad (if you are sensitive to construction product smells).

It’s well worth the price for peace of mind in any application where you might not be so sure if your mixed-type of material surfaces will bond correctly or securely by using another product (i. e. in bonding different types of materials together).

Great for exterior projects as well as interior applications.

You know how you say “oh I’ll do it tomorrow “. well tomorrow takes a few days to come around and finally the tomorrow rolls around months later. Gorilla Heavy Duty Construction Adhesive saved my gutters that started to separate and held on perfectly.

I also has some cracks in the sunroom what I needed to fix by replacing some metal and wood. I cracked up because I didn’t need to use much effort or man power at all, I a woman did it, I was ecstatic that it was so effortless yet well repaired.

It rained and stormed and heavy winds, you could call it tornado weather in the South. My gutters ere still affixed and no leaks in my sun room. What a great quick fixer upper Gorilla Heavy Duty Construction Adhesive has become in my house.

This might be hard to explain. I recently bought this item cut the tip off inserted into my caulking gun would not come out inserted a nail into the nozzle thinking it had a cover still nothing. felt down the container it was soft.

Had to use a hacksaw about an inch down from the top as it was harden somehow like a puck. So then I had to use a piece of wood to push out to adhesive and a putty knife to spread it. Lucky I needed all the adhesive for the job.

I do not know if this item sits to long on the shelf it would harden since this is not a cheep item. The adhesive still did the job but the application did not work as intended.

Not good if you’re an amateur. (I am). difficult to use, gummy and gooey, tricky to close (the bottle kind of twists when you close it, especially if you’ve made a mess of the opening and your hands are covered in glue).

It didn’t work great with what I was trying to do – it peeled off of the metal I was using pretty easily. So – if you’re a newbie, try to find something with a built-in brush. Gorilla has something like that I tried and it worked a little better for me.

Great adhesive. Permanent hold!!! Dries clear. Very strong fumes.

The glue works well on glass and plastic. One-time application works; no sliding objects. It sticks to my fingers and takes a whole day to wear off. I tried wearing light plastic gloves, but the glue sticks to the gloves.

Did the job. Seems to be sticking to the muffler. Easy to put on.

I love Weldbond for so many uses. I was introduced to it for use in gluing glass mosaics, and always use it for bonding unusual materials used in recycled sculptures. It is slow drying so you can reposition parts, if necessary, hold parts in place with temporary tape as needed, and cures in 24 hours.

I can use it with my middle school students for art projects since there is no toxic smell and cleans up with water.

I used this glue doings repairs on my RV. It sets up quickly and makes an incredibly strong bond. Don’t get it on your fingers and if you do, move fast. Really like it!

They’re not kidding when they say this is incredibly strong! This stuff will bond anything! Just be careful not to use too much, it does expand as it dries.

The first time I tried this glue was to put together two metal pieces for a necklace I was making. I needed something that would not get brittle and break apart over time as it happens with Krazy Glue I dont really like for anything anyway.

I was amazed as how cleanly the pieces stuck, it gave me time to reposition and clean the extra glue mess and the best part is that it dries up clear. From that day on, I have used it to fix anything and everything from the handle of my drying machine that got loose, to a wood trim in my kitchen cabinets that fell of, to my shoes, porcelain and ceramic figures, Etc.

I highly recommend this product. Every household should have one in their basic repair kit.

Priced great. I’ve used this around our house and a house I am remodeling. It sticks and stick really well. Just make sure both pieces are clean. I definitely recommend it for small projects that won’t be under to much stress.

This glue has many practical applications and can be applied to almost any clean surface. Works very well with wood and is unnoticeable at a glance. If youre careful it goes completely unseen. It has become more difficult to find in stores, but eBay never fails.

Cons: its relatively exactly expensive. You get your moneys worth though.

I hope this is the world’s worst epoxy, anything else would be unimaginable. I’ve used 2-part 5 minute expoys since about 1974 or 75, starting w/ places that have hot fuel exposure, and engine vibration on things that fly, where the hold is critical.

Never had a problem. I’ve used a couple of different brands, the original Devcon w/b preferred, but the Ace brand is also extremely good, sets as expected, hold is strong on a variety of materials. Some time ago I tried Gorilla glue and had trouble, it didn’t set after hours on a plastic air intake and was almost sucked into the engine.

I called tech support and was told I was using it wrong, and it didn’t work on certain plastics. Since I mix epoxies on a plastic lid and often peel it off afterwords, I sorta know intuitively which plastics and the intake I didn’t think was but I went with their advice: I’d used it wrong.

Then after peeling what was left of the Gorilla stuff off – and it was still soft over 24 hrs later, I mixed up Ace’s 5-minute epoxy and in no time it was hard adhered and I’d sealed the intake, that was a year or so ago, it’s still there; under the hood of a car to be clear.

So maybe I HADN’T USED IT WRONG < oops, inadvertant caps lock, ha! Apropo, I'm leaving it. Not an isolated incident. Everything I used this product on has had problems, first I'm told mine's expired (2014 product code), okay I got a new pack - same problems (the Ace brand I just used today, Copywrite 2005, worked perfectly) I'm told I'm mixing it wrong, good deal, and good thing I didn't mix it wrong 45 years ago on the airplanes! And everything else since; I've been mixing and using all kinds of two part types of glue during those 45 years without a problem, so what's special about this? Apparently you "have to" mix it in the little tray on the package AND you mustn't let it spread out when you mix.

Okay then, I tried those precautions. Except neither of those remedies worked. 3 hrs later, still not set.

just fine, and as expected, once you get a normal mixture down. However, the plunger is much more flexible than other manufacturer’s product, so it is far too easy to end up with a batch that can take overnight to harden.

I’m talking real rubbery and gooey. Moreover, do not store with the plunger side down, unlike other manufacturer’s product the epoxy does leak slowy out of this end. It is for this fact that I rated this product so low.

Also the oneway tab on the cap needs to be more prominent.

I would give this zero stars if I could. This claims to bond a variety of materials, with the fine print being not as effective on some plastics. I bought it to use on a decor craft project, only reading this detail after I finished so when it came apart I chalked it up to that because I followed the directions closely.

Next I used it to bond metal to glass for another decor project and had a similar result. Note, these are not “high traffic” items, mainly just sitting there so I can’t imagine it being useful for any type of repair on an item that gets regular use.

Simply worthless, actually worse than that because I have wasted my time. To top it all off, it was messy and a hassle to apply alongside having terrible fumes. For nothing!.

That glue held. It’s just too bad the plastic broke again in a different place than I had glued…lol

It is as strong as it claims.

Terrible. Inconsistent delivery out of the syringe. You get a big glob of resin and no hardener. Then the resin farts off and all you get is hardener. This product will not deliver equal amounts of resin and hardener from beginning to end.

This results in lots of wasted product, time and frustration.

Very good for repairs on plastic lugs and cracks to fairings and other parts. Would use it again.

I bought this to secure some bolt heads into a casing which in not accessable when in place, the epoxy set in 60 mins and was more than up to the task, going to use it to do some other jobs but am really happy with it.

A new Harbor freight opened up in my home town. So I went in just to shop around and picked up this quick set epoxy since it was a cheap prices just to have on hand. A few days later it was put to the test.

My 9 year old washing machine started leaking water. Come to find out if it had a rust spot on the inner drum. By the time I buffed it out it was the size of half a dime. This epoxy claims to be waterproof so I decided to try it.

I used it to glue 2 pieces of is steel flashing on each side of the hole the whole and let it set for the recommend 24 hrs. It worked perfectly. Great product that a great price!.

I’ve used this on many products and it works well. However, do not use it on a gas tank, or probably anywhere else that will expose it to solvents. I used it on a motorcycle gas tank to plug some pin-hole leaks.

I cleaned the area properly, and waited 24 hours for the epoxy to cure fully before filling the tank up. After a few days the gas ate it’s way through the patch. It turned the exposes epoxy into a gooey substance.

So, for everything else it’s good, but not that particular application.

After trying dozens of different adhesives I found Loctite 326 in conjunction with Loctite Primer SF 7649 to work the best for gluing metal to metal. I only wish Zoro carried the primer in 1. 75 oz liquid so the customer could purchase one bottle instead of ten.

Zoro only carries the spray primer in single units. I did purchase the spray, but I like the liquid better.

I have tried every glue on the market and as a jewelry maker, this glue is by far the best. I have used it with brass, copper, nickel and several other metals and it has not failed once. I highly recommend this product.

Clean your surfaces and apply sparingly. It takes very little.

Loctite 135402 Speedbonder 326 was recommended to me by supplier of a metal gift product. The metal gift product is a money clip with a medallion attached. The medallion separated after minimal use. The Speedbonder 326 along with the 7649 Primer N activator has done the job.

So far the two pieces of metal have remained bonded, even after grater usage and stress.

This product IS NOT for the novice! It almost works too good for the professional. Thread locking is virtually instantaneous. Just the small amount of heat generated when threading two items together will initiate locking.

If there is a future plan to separate the parts bonded, use a milder form of locking agent, such as Loctite Blue. If misalignment can occur, dry fit all parts BEFORE bonding. Make locating marks, and mask any part that should not be coated with this adhesive.

Super bond strength. Test thread bonding on similar, but sacrificial, parts first. Freezing threaded parts may slow the bonding action. YOU GET ONE CHANCE! No joke. Use sparingly.

As time has passed, more and more items have been broken never to be reassembled. until now. A broken pet’s headstone of granite fixed. A ceramic bobble-head chihuahua’s head broken at the neck fixed.

A brass plate separated from a granite headstone reattached. A glass ornamental soap dish shattered but now reassembled and no leaks. I don’t know what this stuff won’t hold together if anything. maybe air molecules(?) I recommend this to anyone who wants to fix something worth saving.

One last thing. when I used Super Glue in the past, after opening the bottle, using it and setting it aside for a few days the opening would be crusted and the contents would eventually dry out. Not so with this product.

It flows from the container as if just opened each and every time you use it. No crusting, no fuss, no muss, sets quickly and the container is easy to handle so that you don’t get any on your fingers/hands.

The cap “snaps” when it is sufficiently closed; not like other glues of this type where you don’t know if you’ve “torqued” the cap sufficiently to prevent evaporation. If you’ve got something that needs to be reattached/reassembled, get this LOCTITE product and get it Back Together!.

Glued a plastic base to a stainless steel travel mug that kept coming loose. Base screwed to another plastic portion, stainless was middle sleeve of the mug, Ran the mug through the dishwasher, still stuck, can’t undo it.

Wondering how many time I can run it through the dishwasher before I can tighten it up a bit as I didn’t get it quite like I wanted it. Holding strong, sets quickly, basically it’s a quality super glue, colored black.

Don’t get it on your fingers or other things you don’t want it on. I will buy more when I use this up and need more.
