20 Best Glue For Rear View Mirror (2023 Updated)

Was unsuccessful, after gluing and waiting at least 2 hours the mirror fell off immediately when I very gently tried to adjust the mirror angle. I opted to sand the glass and the metal mount with 400 grit sandpaper and use ordinary Super Glue.

hope the latter method works.

This one actually works, I am in the South and heat will kill most windshield mirror adhesives, so far this stuff is holding great! After using most everything except nuts and bolts to hold it on, this has held for over a week, more than I can say for two part glues, Permatex and even my used to be favorite, Loctite!.

I love JB weld for so many things. This is not one of them. I opened the package and followed directions. Don’t know if I messed up or got a faulty package. But the red tip never came off in the process of trying to get it off the whole thing opened up and I got the apoxy everywhere.

Ruined my bar top trying to get it off. On top of that the light part fell off the back. This is a prime example of when a good company tries to expand. You can’t trust the name anymore.

I love this glue. I keep it in my purse! I’ve repaired my Nike tennis shoes, toe and sole. I cannot name the time it’s come in handy over the years. (I discovered it about 3or4 years ago. ) Right now I’m using it to glue a nylon cord to the backs of two small, wooden initials, GP.

Those are the initials of my brother who tragically passed away not long ago. I was at a low how to hang them but created a hanger with cord and your great glue and it’s going to work perfectly. Thanks for a really great product that works well, is sold in a convenient size and is not expensive.

I backed into my granddaughters car and knocked her side mirror off. It cracked the plastic mount and mirror was hanging. We applied the Superweld professional strength and held it for one minute. That was 2 weeks ago and she has been up and down the highway daily and it is still holding.

Rhino is an Excellent product for gluing the back window in my corvette c5. I used it in 2015 and again in 2018. Three years in every weather condition Rhino held. 3 years sun rain snow Florida heat and humidity.

Very little goes a long way. This product seems to glue everything with an excellent seemingly permanent bond. I glued a glass window into a canvas car top and it has held for a week so far. The bond is good enough to be water tight so far.

Saved me from having to replace my convertible top. This stuff actually does what it claims. it will glue your fingers together but unlike other glues that only glue fingers, it glues anything. I’m going after the plastic door catch next!.

Beacon Glue for glass and jewelry works very well and so far even decor that I leave outside stays glued and secure. It does dry clear. I wish there was a fine work attachment for a nozzle.

Works great on basically anything. Precision tip makes getting just the right amount a breeze. Mainly used for repair of action figure accessories and parts, but will suit any task perfectly. Watch out not to glue your fingers together!.

Perfect as a single use application!!! Most other “superglue” packages are too large and end up in the trash almost Immediately after opening. This package has 5 separate applicators which remain useable until each is opened, and the sizing is great for a single application.

You never know when you might need it. I used it to fix a broken plastic part from a solar charger that was loose. Fixed it instantly and easily since its a gel like consistency. Takes a little longer to dry but it’s much easier to use and just gives you more time to work and adjust anything before permanently gluing.

I use super glue with electronic projects and musical instrument repairs. The gel gives you more time to place the object you are cementing in line. The gel does not run as badly as its original cousin.

A chemist who makes custom industrial glues recommended this glue as a strong, multi-purpose glue. I used it to glue a clay or concrete (not sure) birdbath bowl that cracked in half when a racoon tried to jump into it.

It held together for 6 years and with water in it. I am about to glue it again for another 6 years. Make sure the item you glue is free of oil, dirt, and other glue and you should lightly sand and clean the debris before you glue it.

Let it cure overnight.

This is an extremely versatile glue. I’ve repaired half a dozen odds and ends that have been broken for years in just a few minutes. Saved a lot of memories and a ton of money on things that no longer need to be replaced.

they’re now repaired. A little goes a long way, and a tube lasts a long time. Plus it stays nice and gooey and won’t dry out super fast like those miniscule bottles of super glue.

I’ve used this brand of glue for over 35 years. I love how good it works. I’ve had trouble finding it in the stores for awhile now. I finally found it on E bay. Very happy I found it, the other glues I had to settle for didn’t work as well as the 527.

I love this stuff. We used to use it at the nuclear physics laboratory I worked at to seal up probes that were almost immediately exposed to a high vacuum. So much easier to carry packs of this around, rather than leaky tubes.

I saw this stuff for the first time years ago while on a job somewhere. Nice to see it here, available in small quantities. Great for small jobs; no dealing with tubes or syringes. It even comes with “ice cream stick” applicators.

Bought this to reattach headliner in Toyota Corolla 2006 when years of sun baking caused the glue to let go at the rear window. I tried another product first that failed to adhere then i found this stuff and boy an i glad i did.

So do yourself a favor cover the area below where you are spraying with a towel or moving blanket, put on a face mask (aerosol will choke you out), some gloves and cover your head. Following others i sprayed a layer on the foam roof and on the headliner.

Waited about 90 seconds then slowly started pressing the headliner back into place going from the point where it was still connected back to the rear windshield. It attached quickly and i didn’t have to hold it in place.

The dried result looks great. I would recommend this product if i needed to do this again.

I followed the instructions to the letter and allowed the designated curing time. Immediately upon attaching the mirror, the “button” fell off. I repeated the process with the same result. I then tried a third time, and now have allowed five DAYS curing time.

I’ve yet to attach the mirror again, but I fear that this third attempt will have the same result.

The headliner in my 2009 Camry became unattached along the top of my back window and was hanging down. The liner was separated from the roof for about 8 inches from the window. I got a few quotes were all about $350.

00 to replace the headliner. I balked and bought this 3M product after some Home Essentials Direct research, and followed the directions. It was a superb success! Looks like new and to my wife I’m a hero.

Few pointers; 1: Make sure you protect the area around the spray zone such as the glass or seats with tape and towels, the adhesive is a bear to get off in areas you don’t want it. 2; Wear gloves, it’s a bear to get the adhesive off your fingers.

Works great but be aware you probably need 2- 3 cans for full size car headliner. You should scrub off the old rotted foam first and use new headliner material to get the best result. Lay down headliner carefully as pulling it back up for incorrect position could distort it.

It is doable and results are great. Stays up. The cheapest competitor will fall down in high heat as will spray contact cement.

I have been a picture framer, carpenter and DIY maniac for 30 years. This glue blows my mind. I’ve used it for fixing lino, small tile repairs, light wood joints and many other repairs. But it was when I sat on my glasses that I realised how good it is.

The rubbery plastic of my glasses broke at the hinges both sides. I figured I’d bin them, but thought I’d try the RapidFuse to connect the arms back against the hinges, expecting no luck. After holding the joints tightly for 30 seconds, I was amazed I could put the glasses back on.

Three months later, they are still well intact. I can’t close the arms on the hinges obviously but I can slightly bend them against the frames and the arms still flex but not break! Incredible. I can’t recommend RapidFuse highly enough.

I absolutely LOVE this product!! It is by far one of the best out there on the market today. and I have used it to literally glue almost anything back together or to anything else. I can not think of one instance where this glue did not work.

I highly recommend it!! It doesn’t dry 100% clear, but mostly so. Doesn’t take much!! As long as you keep it pretty thin, it stays clear.

Have never found a glue as good as this. I used it to glue the rubber on bottom of my cowboy boots, it was separating from boots on both feet between toe & heel. It’s been a month now & still holding strong! Even walking through cow doo everyday & even wet rainy conditions! Absolutely will be buying more & recommend to everyone I know!.

The price is great, but this gel was made in China while the regular HFT super glue I purchased before came from India. My first shock was when I opened a tube and had it squirt out a lot of the glue due to internal tube pressure.

I was outside in 65-degree weather in the shade, so heat was not a problem. The second shock was when I discovered that the tube was mostly filled with air with very little actual product in the tube.

This repeated itself for the next two tubes. I never did get enough out of one tube to finish my project, and my having to open another tube caused a delay in the bonding which ended up being a disaster.

This was my first mishap with HFT, and I hope this is my last.

There is no question the super glue in these tubes is very effect with a surface solidification time of some 20-30 seconds, which is actually longer than the product package states. The big caveat is that I have found with these tubes is that the dispensing tip clogs and solidifies before you have used all of the product.

Th saving grace, fortunately, is that you have 10 rubes to use, so the overall cost per tube is low enough so that you don’t mind having to discard a tube before it is completely empty. You can also poke holes in the tube to get out more glue to use.

I use this in my scale model building, gluing styrene. It’s thick coming out it the end of the nozzle, and allows me to move it around a bit. Like all super glues, it WILL stick to your skin, so be careful.

It cures pretty quickly, but not so fast that I can’t make fit adjustments. I’ve bought this several times now and recommend it highly.

This glue is just so easy to use and effective in its job. I wish it had been in existence years ago when I first started using acrylic mirrors. Trying to drill holes in it was not the easiest of jobs and the thick double-sided tape expensive and ineffective.

The question I have though is how do I detach the mirror once the glue has dried!.

In my many years as a classroom art teacher, I have learned to add Gorilla glue to my supply list. I teach pre-k to 8th grade, typically; with variations on grade level ranges. Why would an elementary art teacher need such a strong adhesive? I needed this because I teach children, and children drop, break, and simply play with things until they fall to pieces.

Despite my best efforts to teach children about the function and purpose of decorative arts, I have had a line up of 5 to 12-year-olds year round with art pieces that left my classroom carefully packaged in 1 piece; and returned sometime later in several pieces.

This glue has never been given to children, and I have made sure that all “doctoring” of art pieces happens after class. Gorilla glue bonds basically any surface to any surface, and this stuff was even more effective than the foamy yellow nonsense I used to use.

Clear grip will take the ceramic ear of your Second Grade child’s bunny mug and reattach to look like new. I have repaired clay pottery like a pro, with absolutely no training in this type of skill. The trick I made up is to add dabs of glue with a Q-tip to each side of the break, and then gently put the pieces together.

Next I use masking tape or painter’s tape to make sure the cracked area is firmly “clamped” in place. I hold the pieces sometimes for delicate breaks, and this glue sets quite quickly and almost effortlessly.

Parents and kids have been so happy with the repairs, they have often returned with broken toys, trophies from random sports tournaments, soccer cleats and more. At one point, I had a “broken stuff” section of my art room where anyone could deposit a “too loved” item for my fixing.

Beyond this, Gorilla glue has helped me in developing several tools for art teaching, or objects needed to make the job possible. My artist assistant and I created custom frames for a 4th grade mini mosaic project, using gorilla glue to adhere the finished tile pieces to solid wood.

( The kids only used kid-safe mosaic glue for the actual art). We also used Gorilla glue to attach PVC pipe plastic tubes together to create some mighty fine and super lightweight flexible weaving looms.

Whether I drop someone’s coffee mug, or someone comes to me with a headless sculpture in need of “immediate surgery”, this glue is always in my “teacher only cabinet” for instant fixing.

So I bought this glue for a craft project because the E5000 smells so bad/strong and it really gets to you after awhile. However the gorilla glue is basically the exact same glue and it also smells. I would buy which ever one has the best price.

It worked well for my projects. It’s messy as it’s in a tube and continues to ooze out. Also the metal tubes get holes in them as you roll them up. If you’ve never used it before it is essentially a strong rubber glue.

I was gluing glass with it and it holds strong, but even after it dried for a few days I could pull it apart if I didn’t like what I did and rub the glue off to start over. Thats a plus for me because I change my mind a lot.

As with everything that Gorilla makes, it works really well. It truly is a great adhesive. That said, make sure you want to REALLY adhere the object to the other object before using this. Gorilla adhesive and any of their products work extremely well and won’t disappoint.

It’s great for various crafting and other general household needs. I may add that it is reasonably priced as well. It’s above and beyond other adhesives out there with the same purposes/needs. Highly recommend.
