20 Best Glow In The Dark Soccer Ball (2023 Updated)

I bought the Mixed variety pack of soccer balls to surprise my 2 boys, ages 11 and 5. The shipment arrived a day ahead of schedule, so my wife put the box on my desk for me to open when I got back from working out of town.

The next evening, I let the boys look at 1 of the soccerballs. THEY FLIPPED OUT! let’s just say that my wife had to come outside to get all 3 of us to call it a night at nearly 10pm! It looked like UFO’s were invading our neighborhood, with all 4 balls in play we were rocking big punts that looked like fireballs out of a volcano! Easy for the kids to do their ball handling skills, and much safer to play after sunset.

We bought the Glow City football about a year ago, and play with it when we get the urge. Glow City has a great line of products, and I’m getting some other accessory items off the website soon.

I have been purchasing and using light up soccer balls (among many other items) from GlowCity for years. (Our soccer group often plays into the night). Unfortunately, of the last three soccer balls I’ve purchased, two have had slow leaks right out of the box.

Service has been excellent so far but the newest balls seem somewhat flimsier than their predecessors.

We bought this ball for an evening outdoor holiday party. It was a huge hit with the kids and a few parents asked where they could get their own. It is not a typical soccer ball surface (more bouncy ball type but it works great and the kids loved it!.

When my 9 year old wants me to kick the soccer ball around in the evening, I can no longer use the excuse “It’s too dark out!” Oh well. With kids glued to video games and other electronic devices, it’s great to have more opportunities for them to be physically active.

I held back from giving it for stars because I don’t know how llong the batteries will last, how much new batteries will cost or how tricky it will be to replace them.

Purchased in a week ago & took out of box & it was flat, very flat. But once we purchased a needle blow up thing it works great. Love playing outside at night

This is a Christmas gift that has not been used yet. I believe my child would use this in the summer months for the late night soccer games in our backyard with friends. I think it is cool to do and keep the little ones active.

The actual ball seems sturdy and the glow is great.

This football is so cool. It has lights inside it that make it super bright when playing in the dark. It is also a full sized football so kids (and adults) can practice with it. The lights are motion activated, so you basically don’t have to do anything to turn them on – just go ahead and play with it.

During Summer, sometimes kids will play outside later when the weather is cooler, so having a ball with lights that are motion activated is actually pretty helpful. We also did some indoor play in the dark with it and it is pretty fun.

I also appreciate the fact that it comes with the pump, so you can inflate and play right away. And the batteries for the lights are actually replaceable in case you want to keep the fun going for longer.

This ball needs to have a warning label specifically for choking in bigger breeds. I have an English Pointer mix and he accidentally inhaled this ball because of its slippery surface. My husband and I had to perform the Heimlich on our dog yesterday morning, and let me tell you, it was very scary to see a dog gasping for air.

This ball is the same size as a tennis ball but because of its smooth texture, size, and abundance of dog saliva, it soon became lodged in his airway. The manufactures need to add rubber, spikes like papilla to aide from choking.

I hope that Petco will remove this product from their shelf until the manufacturers fix the ball or put a warning label on it. Purchased 9. 25. 20 PS. Our dog Chachi is okay and we were able to dislodge the ball.

Best ball for night play! We have a black doodle that is invisible at night. When she has this ball it lools like a floating light display running through the yard coming at you at 50 miles an hour. She plays until its time to nap.

Great fun. We have a half dozen of these. When the battery finally dies the ball is still made of glow in the dark material. Toss it under the light for a few minutes and you get 15 usable minutes of glow.

The ball itself is tough as nails. Nerf got this right. The xsmall size is the same size as a tennis ball. Perfect.

I bought three of them. I kept two of them and there both lost now like they disappeared. My dog absolutely loved them! I thought they were well made but my dog isn’t rough on her toys. She’s 4 yrs and still has one of her toys when she’s was a yr old.

She would have all of them but I take in boarders so you know other dogs aren’t as nice to their toys.

This item is TOO cool for words!! Seriously!!! My husband and I bought (3): one standard size 5 and two youth size 4 , as Halloween gifts for our young grandchildren and niece. We desperately want to keep them!! Great company! Great product! We are very happy! Now, if they can just make glow in the dark youth golf clubs! Hint! Hint!.

Kids absolutely love this ball especially for those dark nice nights! I will recommend this ball over and over. We bought it as a gift and it was a hit. We have 2 at our house currently!

I purchased three different HoloGear balls. One of the items I ordered was a men’s basketball and I should have ordered a women’s basketball. I probably contacted HoloGear to make the change and they did it immediately.

I got this ball for a Happy 4 year old as a birthday gift. Unfortunately he stayed up on the first night he go the ball playing instead of going to sleep. He loves. It. I will send a picture when I get it.

Bought for a 9 year old – the hologram effect is cool however soccer is a team game and if you need special lighting from 1 pair of glasses or a phone camera (our kids don’t have phones) for the effect to work it’s really only aimed at one person having fun with the hologram effect, also not too keen on playing soccer at night by himself.

He said he would have way more fun if his brother could have glasses as well. or better still for his friends to enjoy also.

I purchase this ball in multiples for my German Shepherds in size four. It’s the perfect size to discourage them chewing on it but small enough for them to be able to pick it up. As serious as they take their play time with these balls, it won’t be long before they go pro I’m sure.

My child has had this soccer ball for a few weeks and the size is perfect and the colors are fun. We have not had any issues with it deflating like others have. I will update this if that happens but so far, no problem at all.

It’s good for a first soccer ball. However, we then had to buy a pump. It doesn’t retain air well. I’d go for a higher price point and higher quality next time.

Cool to look at but there is NO GRIP ON BASKETBALL. Hard to pick it up definitely hard to handle, dribble, shoot, or anything really. The holographic concept of the basketball works exactly as advertised.

It looks really cool except for the fact that all the video made while actually “playing basketball” or attempting to play with the ball is trash. You know how a really old like 1965 rubber type basketball feels after it has been heavily played until bald.

That smooth kinda old rubber worn down smooth with all the body oils dirt and over playing. Then take that smooth ball and powder it with baby powder. Yeah that’s how it feels.

Please don’t buy this product from this company!! I ordered a volleyball for my daughter December 4th 2020. I was promised several times by people at HoloGear via Facebook messenger and email that I would get my order.

Well that still hadn’t happen even after I was promised it would this past weekend or Monday January 18th 2021 by yet another person at HoloGear. They are a very disappointing company. I am surprised that they even have ads here on Facebook.

I sent a message to the Vice President of the company today and he/she hasn’t even had the decency to respond back to me. instead I got a text message notifying me of my cancelation of my order. Shame on you HoloGear.

The basketball purchase was great from beginning to end, my niece will love it! It was so great that the day I received it which was exactly a week from the day I ordered it, I ordered the football and soccer ball for my nephew.

It has now been over a week and haven’t heard anything about it, might I add I also paid $10 extra for faster shipping. I called them today and they said there was a delay with the manufacturer and I was sure to get it before Christmas.

My family is celebrating our Christmas early, so therefore it probably won’t be here in time. All the reason I paid extra for faster shipping!! The guy said he would check again to see if they had any that he could send out to me quickly.

So we will see if it gets here in time! Will do another review when I get them.

I got this to give to my son who is playing on a soccer team for the first time this year. Not only does he LOVE this set, but it is also a great concept and product. The set contains a ball (not soccer ball material, but it still works just fine.

) I dont know what size ball this is. probably a size 5?, light up cones, and 4 wrist bands that light up in 2 different colors. This is the perfect size set for my family of 4, but if you wanted to have a full game it would require more than one set.

Perhaps they sell additional bands separately? The ball lights up bright red! And it turns off after a short amount of time when it isnt being used and stays lit up on contact. The cones and wrist bands light up when you press a button and they are bright! They also have different modes to choose from by pressing the button again which include flashing lights, slower flashing, or solid light.

I thought that was cool. The very best part of this is that the light up aspects are battery replaceable and they included 6 replacement batteries in the box! Such a nice touch! We’ve had so much fun with this already and intend to use it a lot more!.

We love this set. We live in a warm climate so the kids are outside pretty much until bedtime. This soccer set has become the hit of the neighborhood! It is so bright you can see it perfectly even in pitch black.

It is super easy to set up each time. Be aware you do need a ball pump to inflate the ball the first time. We added some glow sticks so other kids can play too! We have full blown nighttime soccer games in the backyard and the kids love it! Highly recommend.

Got it for a 10 year old boy that loves basketball and has everything and he loved it. Fun little toy to kick around and his dad liked it too which was a bonus. Hard to find that age something affordable and fun.

My only complaint was the box made it seem like a toy for a way younger child and I felt silly giving it to him but once it was out of the box no worries. Loved that it was rechargeable and didn’t need batteries.

They could improve on the professionalism of the box design making it look a bit more upscale but other than that great find!.

Bought this for my nephews as a present. Guess who just became their favourite uncle. They just LOVE it. It’s a ton of fun to compete with each other, some challenges are far easier than the others. However, for me they are all easy so I regularly take the #1 spot ha! Maybe I should’ve bought one for myself as well.

I bought this for my daughter when i was visiting Europe for work. She keeps playing. The fun part is that the more she plays the more she can do within the app. Really active gaming.

I was super excited to buy some products for my 14 year old son for his birthday. I bought a basketball, football, and rim lights. When I first got everything it was awesome. My son loved it. Then, the basketball went out after a couple weeks.

I tried changing the batteries but it would not light up the same. It glows bright for a second when you bounce it, then stops. I called customer service and they sent me a new ball for free. Cool! However, the same thing happened.

Basketball went out. Tried changing the batteries, now it’s not working. I followed the directions completely. So disappointed. Didn’t have any problems with the football or rim lights but I haven’t had to change the batteries yet.

Weird. Too bad because it SHOULD be a really cool product. Now I just have a bunch of basketballs.

The light is super bright, it really looks like it does in the photo. Feels like a normal basketball and the flow is just so cool! We love it. Can’t wait to play outside in the summer. We also bought the volleyball, super happy with both of them!.

Basketball stopped lighting up right after first use. Would not exchange or help without receipt. They didn’t even offer to send new lights to be installed. Will never buy their product again! They do not stand behind it apparently.

Great quality soccer ball. Both kids love so much they fight over who’s using it first. It’s held its own against brick walls, wet days and constant use. No ripping or tearing noticeable which is very surprising.

Purchased on-line. It said item would arrive flat and recommended a pump to purchase. I bought both and the ball arrived pumped up! When I wished to return both to shop they would only give a credit note even though I had a receipt.

To send both back online would have been expensive as postage must be paid and ball was pumped up!!.

not the real world cup ball duplicate but a less expensive version, so far its holding up well. I would recommend it for non professional use.

On the original listing for this product, it was listed as a full size ball, with absolutely no indication that this was a child’s size 3 soccer ball. Because of this, once my online order arrived I had to drive it back to a Rebel store and get a refund and buy a proper sized ball.

If you’re looking for a little kid’s ball, this is probably perfect :).

My 11-year old son loves how the ball looks but it performs well also. He says it’s performance is exactly what you’d want from a soccer ball.

My 10 year old used his birthday money to upgrade the soccer ball he takes to school with this ball. It has gone to and from school every day and is used for at least two hours a day every day. He and his soccer loving friends love it.

Unfortunately, given the holographic nature of the ball, it is beginning to show signs of wear.
