20 Best Glow In The Dark Fabric Paint (2023 Updated)

This glitter fabric paint is beautiful, the iridescent color of the glitter is lovely and if you keep it thin enough, it stays clear. If you go too thick, it starts to look gray. HERE’S THE ISSUE: THE GLITTER IS TOO BIG FOR THE OPENING AND IF YOU SQUEEZE JUST A LITTLE BIT TOO HARD, THE TOP COMES OFF AND FLOODS EVERYTHING IN GLITTER PAINT!!!! The solution is to cut the opening a tiny bit bigger, but still small enough for good control.

Tulip glitter is my greatest finish for the greeting cards I make. Tulip with the tip, which no other company has, makes application perfect. It dries within an hour. Please Michaels keep them on the shelf.

Other craft stores are not carrying Tulip Any more I love going to Michaels finding new supplies. At Michaels, you can find it all. 30 to 40 years You are my go to I am not an amazon. Internet person.

Needed to make a fairly complex design on a costume and after reading reviews, this seemed like the best choice. I was happy with the results but be aware, it takes about 4 hours to dry enough to move the fabric.

Because I had to do so many, it took a long time. Also, even after 72 hours drying(per recommendation on label) the scroll would stick to itself and have to be pulled apart. Don’t know why. But the color and sparkle were good and it was fairly easy to use.

It starts out puffy and kind of bland but dries flat and sparkly. Recommend storing upside down to alleviate air bubbles.

I am a child of the 60’s and enjoy refurbishing Paper Mache from that era. I have used this puffy paint to restore trim that is often lost or damaged on these pieces. For these angel figurines, if the paint color didn’t match – I just mixed paint to match & a Michael’s fine brush.

I am so happy that I found this product at Michael’s. I am already planning to make MCM ornaments from foam balls, for the holidays!.

These fabric paints are great! Really easy to use, great value. I used it to customise tee-shirts for a girls weekend away. I used them to write a few words on 4 tops and it barely used any. dried within a few hours.

Not puffy but certainly raised and looked great, bonus that its glow in the dark. You cold use these to customise shoes too.

Great paint to use on the bottom of homemade crocheted slipper socks. Blob all over the sole, leave to dry then hold a steam iron about 3cm above. Paint puffs up. Leave to dry and you have a non slip sole.

Bought these fabric paints for my 6 year olds school project so a multipack was the best value for us. The squeezy bottle design while easy for adults was understandable a little hard for my 6 year old to be able to control the flow of paint.

These paints are lovely and bright and have a lovely glow in low lighting. The bottles appear small but you really dont need a lot, these will see us through many many projects. Reasonable drying time for such a great effect.

I have yet to wash the painted tshirts so cannot comment on the washability but I can’t see there being a problem. I would definately purchase these again in the future.

I really like all the colors and especially that it is non toxic. mmI thought some of these looked a little watered down during application but after it dried it was OK! I washed and air dried fabric after 72 hrs.

You have to shake this up. Real good! I used this one time. I wanted to see if this was a worthy paint. I highly advise to paint a light colored base coat. I painted a small 1”x1” area. It didn’t show up more than a light colored sheen.

I assumed that this was not a good product. Even after shaking vigorously for a few minutes this never changed from a watery viscosity. I exposed this to light after 24 hours for a few minutes. This remarkably showed up even with the light sheen showing up.

I’m not sure how long the glow time is but it’s not as long as Nitro FX.

Excellent glow in the dark paint. I painted skeleton bones on a stuffed skeleton made from black landscaping cloth. The cloth was somewhat absorbed, so it took a few coats. I mixed it with white acrylic tube paint so it would also show up in the daylight as the glow paint is transparent.

GREAT Glow! My fiance and I love led lights, glow in the dark, etc. We had bought a small can of glow in the dark paint from another box store and it was alright but you have to put at least 2-3 coats for a good glow.

We tried this out and even just one coat it was already a brighter glow than the other stuff. I’d definitely recommend this.

I used this paint to make the lines for a project on a glass bottle to make it look like Tiffany style stained glass. It worked great. The little tip enabled me to trace the pattern lines. The line of paint was thick enough to look like the leaded joins in real stained glass.

I used silver/gray at first to get the lead color, but black looks better. Dried to touch indoors under a ceiling fan in three hours and left to set overnight for hardness.

This is a lovely Paint to use, easier than any other fabric paint I use before and it has allowed me to make beautiful and unique designs in clothes that my friends and customers absolutely love. I go to Markets with my Creations, I’m an artist and I even draw free hand using the Tulip Slick Dimensional Fabric Paint and it works perfectly.

I looked around for a while for a good fabric paint and heard positive feedback about Tulip’s products – I wasn’t disappointed! The pigmentation is great, very nice coverage in a quick amount of time.

Some small patches may need a little extra coverage, but you don’t need to be sparing with this product. It spreads nicely on a cotton t-shirt and didn’t bleed outside the edges of my design. The thin nib makes it great for precise drawing and the tube is easy to squeeze, so you can control how much paint comes out easily.

After going through a dozen washes, the paint is still good as new – it hasn’t faded, cracked, bled or peeled off, so I am extremely happy with this product and have since bought other colours in the range.

I’ve been a loyal customer for some time now abs no I was over the top excited when I purchased your pouring paint set the first set was fabulous, to say the least, my pieces came out totally awesome!!! But!!! But in the most recent set of pouring paint, I purchased there was something different something off in the product and it reflected in my work.

What’s different did the formula change if so please please revise it.

As always, I found the quality of my fluid acrylic paint to be excellent. The color is beautiful and rich, mixes with pouring medium well and maintains its beautiful integrity after I added water to create a thin consistency.

Also, there was a shipping problem and the Arteza Customer Service team was incredibly helpful and super fast! Great company to buy from.

Love these paints. I have been using them to paint jean clothing and they work great and hold up very nicely so far. I find they differ from regular acrylic paint in that they have a thicker gel quality that seals better on fabric with a slightly glossy finish.

I find regular acrylic paint may crack slightly on the surface of fabric and is not as vibrant. So these are definitely worth the purchase for using on fabric!.

I bought blue glow dimensional fabric paint from tulip to use on a black leggins i originally wanted to throw out as they were too plain. The dimensional colour gives an interesting effect and it works perfectly on different surfaces.

The paint comes out very smoothly and evenly which allows you to draw controlled thin lines. You can even blend in other colours to create a more individual design. In the end i had a colourful creative leggins, an individual peace perfect for going out in the evening.

I even ised the paint on other objects such as canvas and my coffee table.

I bought these puffy paints for a particular project. I was hoping the paint would work to create non slip tread on the bottom of some crazy socks I crocheted for presents. I was very pleased with how the paints performed and the recipients of these socks were thrilled!.

We love to use this for Halloween crafting. No carve pumpkins come out amazing like this. Applicator Tip allows for easy painting and designing without additional materials. Makes for a lot of family friendly fun one of a kind decor!.

I love doing things with glow in the dark. Puff paint can be used for all sorts of fun things.

The product is easy to use. It’s a beautiful color under blacklight. Once the blacklight or other light source for charging is removed, the intensity of the glow diminishes to a point where the color is not as easy to distinguish from the others in about an hour.

Excellent product. The paint lays down nicely and gives a high intensity glow with little charging time. The off white base color is very workable. Easy to match or blend, or top coat. Good value for a specialty product, too.

This company is just awesome. I get the products so quick. The color of this paint is so pretty. Another 5 star purchase.

This is a decent craft paint for the price range and I appreciate the large selection of colors! Perhaps the best part. The consistency of the paint is somewhere between “soft body” and “fluid” which is perfect for my purposes.

But I wasn’t very happy with the coverage. I was hoping for better opacity. They do dry nice and flat but all require a 2nd and even 3rd coat to achieve good coverage and it gets streaky. I got them for painting my own nesting dolls 🙂 I find that they work well as a base coat for projects, with more quality paints used as top layers.

I wouldn’t personally buy them again. I personally would rather pay a little more in the future and get higher quality paints.

I’ve been using artist grade acrylics for a few years. I read really good reviews for Americana Acrylics on a few sites, so for the really low price I thought I’d try them. I’d been wanting to try soft/liquid acrylics for a while anyway.

These lived up to the great reviews. They have excellent opacity in most colors (some colors are by their nature more transparent in all acrylic brands). The colors are bright and clean. They spread superbly on primed canvas (I prime my own canvas with standard primer and use pretty heavy weight canvas).

They flow so well and are so much easier to paint with than my expensive tube paints. Surprisingly for soft paints, they will show brush strokes somewhat when using a stiff brush. The bottles are a perfect size and easy to use to control exactly how much paint to put on the palette.

There are soooo many wonderful colors to choose from – not even Blick carries them all – but I was able to paint two large paintings with very different color schemes from just 10 bottles of basic colors because they mix like a dream.

They definitely have a matte finish, so if you want more gloss in the final product, a top coat in the desired gloss level is needed. That’s what I did in the attached example. I thought my artist acrylics were nice paints and good to work with, but after using Americana on two completed pieces, I don’t even want too use my old paint at all anymore.

So glad to have found these great paints for so much less money. The attached pic shows a close up of part of the project.

Having used all the “craft store acrylics” over the years for Bauernmalerei, Rosmaling, Venetian florals, and more, I’ve found Americana to have the best consistency, longest shelf life, a reliably dry matte finish, and excellent color selection.

When I want to mix my own tints and shades, my preference is for JoSonja Chroma, but I always use Americana for base coating because of its opacity and true matte finish and often use it for basing in and when truly beautiful tints are offered.

If you’re used to thin, watery cheap brands or the gloppy, thick Plaid FolkArt (which has virtually no shelf life) try Americana. I have bottles that are five years old and only required stirring to restore them to working consistency.

That’s important whenever you might only use a small amount for a project as is the case with teaching or creating many folk painting projects as shown in pattern packets and books. Enjoy!.

The paint was really easy to work with. It has a thick consistency, and we were surprised to find that it added a sparkle look to our shirts. My girls were pleased by this, but if you didn’t want sparkle, it would not be a happy surprise.

The paint does still make your shirt a bit stiff, but more like a thick screen print than a hard paint. I would use it again.

Started printing on material recently, this is a must have colour to add to my other fabric paints & pencils. Double sided sticky tape is always my go to when I make cards. Embroidery threads where purchased to match ribbon for a brides garter I had made.

The small bag will be decorated with embroidery & gifted. A one stop shop for all I needed to complete my current craft projects.

I purchased matte black paint and I received matte with a bunch of silver glitter mixed into it. Whilst paintinting i realised my tools are full of tiny specs of silver glitter (although I was working in a very clean space, no glitter around).

Once applying a second coat, the paint from 1st layer got clumpy and when I tried to wipe the clumps down with a clean paper towel, it wiped the black paint and revealed lots and lots of silver glitter specs.

Very odd and for a matte paint really disappointing. It is usable and matte with one coat but I don’t recommend otherwise.

I use these paints regularly for various craft applications and some repairs. They don’t separate during storage and the color choices are numerous. Sometimes I find the exact touch up color I need without having to mix a new batch every time I work on a piece.

If I do have to mix colors, depending on the “mother color” there might be unexpected blend results because there are several pigments added to get the bottled shade. I had that problem with the so called Modular colors in the 70s.

(uh oh- I think I just dated myself) Some colors would became muddy when blended. These handy colors are fairly clean and true. Great choices for very little money.

This paint is amazing! I love the variety of colors; smooth texture and it advertises true to color. The Michaels partnership with Plaid is amazing. I always look forward to my Monday night Folk Art Paint Nights.

I am literally purchasing one of every color because of this amazing product. Matte, Satin, Metallic or Neon, worth purchasing all types. The multi-surface version is an additional favorite because I can use it on so many surfaces and know that I will be getting quality effects.

The cost is affordable, and I feel I am not breaking the bank. A little goes a long way and I so appreciate that as well!!!!.

This is not a good glitter paint. For one, it barley has any purple tone to it. You have to paint the surface with a solid color before you apply this. I did not like the finished product. I found using real glitter works way way better as this doesn’t even have enough glitter to hardly show on the surface.

If it shows it comes out in patches and not even. It has the consistency of watery slime with a slight hue of purple. Would be good for kids because it will hardly stain if they paint your furniture instead of the paper.

Kind of like pretend jewelry.

This paint is amazing! You don’t need to use too much as it goes a long way, and it spreads very well. The colour is exactly the same as you can see it in the bottle which is perfect for your designs.

Love using Tulip Slick that I have repurposed from originally using on Tshirts to creating tactile art pieces on triangle canvases that last ages and are really vibrant. ‘Neon Blue’ is one of my favourite colours in the range.

A lovely colour which dries a little darker than it looks when wet. Easy to apply quite precisely and washes well.

This is my go-to product when I am lettering or drawing on a shirt by hand (usually for one of my kids haha). I like it because it can be used straight out of the tube or with a synthetic brush (It’s buildable so start off light and add as you need to).

The pigmentation is good enough for I want to do with it but admittedly I rarely use light or pastel colors. The formula is pretty viscous but not so thick you can’t work with it. The variety of colors is pretty awesome and they’ve expanded them in recent years.

My favorite part? The smell doesn’t get on my nerves. Because of my ADHD, I’m more sensitive to smells than most so this is important for me. My now 7YO had a themed shirt for his 5th birthday and wore it til there were holes in the armpits but the paint stayed on! Overall, a great product for my needs.

I purchased the Tulip Slick dimensional Fabric Paint in black to use making ornaments with my children. I am not a crafty person at all so I had no idea what type of paint would work best for what I wanted to make, but this looked like it would do the trick.

It worked so well! I used it to write the kids names and the year on the outside of the plastic ornament and it turned out better than I imagined. The paint has a raised look which makes it pop out against the Christmas colors we put inside the ornament.

I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking to do any similar crafts, or probably any crafts all.

I’m a school teacher and needed fabric paint for a large project involving hand prints. It was my first time using fabric paint, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The colour saturation was excellent. And the paint went a long way.

I thought I would need three bottles, so I bought four. Turns out I needed only one — and my return of the extra bottles was quick and easy. The final project has washed up beautifully. This product surpassed expectations.
