20 Best Gel Cleansers For Oily Skin (2023 Updated)

I’ve been faithful to LRP’s Toleriane Purifying Foaming Cleanser for a year, but I decided to try this one to see how this differs. While I LOVE the purifying foaming cleanser and while it’s been great at making my face feel fresh and clean, despite it being for oily skin types, I never felt like it did all that much for improving my acne.

Since they have an Effaclar version of it that uses zinc and salicylic acid, I figured why not try it, so I asked for this as a Christmas gift. While I’ve only been using it for two days, I’m already impressed.

This doesn’t foam as thickly as the toleriane cleanser, but it still foams well and creates a rich lather that was satisfying and wonderful and felt great on my sensitive, acne-prone skin. Sadly, unlike the toleriane cleanser, for some reason this isn’t scent-free, it has a floral/medicinal smell that is stronger than I’d like it to be, but it’s nothing offensive.

I’ll also admit that this feels a little bit irritating at first, but already my skin has adjusted to that, the next day I had little to no irritation. It is drying though, but as always with skincare, moisturizer is A MUST (I use LRP’s Lipikar AP+ lotion as a moisturizer, FANTASTIC stuff and since I use it only for my face, the big bottle has lasted me for almost a year!) The consistency is much thinner, so I have a feeling that this bottle (the 400 ml) will last even longer than the other one that usually lasts me 3 months.

I can see this lasting at least a month longer, so I’ll get even more bang for my buck if I decide to continue on with this! I have high hopes for this product because seriously, my skin so far in only two days just doesn’t look and feel so oily, and this also pairs so lovely with the La Roche Posay micellar water and my tretinoin.

And my breakouts, well, I haven’t had any, the one or two I had are GONE! So while this product isn’t perfect and has some of its flaws, the results in such a short time are AMAZING and I cannot wait to see if my skin will improve with time.

So if you have acne-prone skin (esp hormonal) give this one a shot like I did, it’s soo worth it!.

Listen, I’m acne prone, sensitive skin, combination-oily, late 20’s…. this face wash has helped me tremendously in the past THREE weeks. So, I was using CeraVe for the duration of that bottle. My skin was never good on that, but I watched a lot of YouTubers recommend it.

I would get a lot of bumps under my skin. It was just the face wash, but the face wash played a major role because after switching to this when it ran out, my skin was already starting to heal. It is drying, for sure, but it cleans my skin so well.

I wore a full face of makeup. I used the take it off by Clinique and then washed my face for 60 secs then 30-60…there was nothing on the white towel and that never happened before. I NEEDED A REAL CLEANSER.

Yes, you need a moisturizer too, but having combo skin, man, a lot of them are so disappointing and cause new breakouts under and on my skin. I use Stratia and that works for me, but it’s not SUPER hydrating—for combo/oily peeps.

In all, I’m not switching until my skin tells me. I’m testing out the toner as well and so far, no new breakouts! Anywho, have a beautiful day!.

I have oily skin especially around my t-zone as well as occasional red blemishes on my cheeks. I would often wake up with a greasy face and whiteheads dotted over due to the oil especially round my cheeks and forehead.

Since using this my skin has cleared up massively! My whiteheads and blemishes have reduced significantly and my skin looks overall a lot brighter and a lot less dull. My pores seem slightly minimised too so my face looks smother and it feels soft also.

I use this twice daily and sometimes have some slightly drying patches around my mouth but this is nothing serious and clears up after using moisturiser. I would definitely only use this if you have oily skin or if you have combination skin to be used a few times a week.

My skin looks so much more healthier and glowy since using this, so if you have oily, blemish prone skin, I would definitely recommend!.

For years I have struggled with large pores (especially around my nose), cystic acne (due to food and hormones) and pop-up pimples off and on. My skin is dry but sensitive to oil. Products can make me break out easily, so I have to be very careful.

I decided to give this a try and get into a skin care routine that was beneficial. I am not getting any younger! Let me say that THIS PRODUCT is amazing. For the first time in my life my large pores, although still large, are not noticeable.

When I wash my face, my skin feels amazing. I have been using this for a few months and I noticed a difference within 2 weeks a NOTICABLE difference. So much so that I purchased a lot of other Hydroboost products.

I am still struggling (off and on) with cystic acne but because that is under the skin it is not a symptom of the top layer, or the products. Recently going plant based has helped that quite a bit as well.

We assume it is the hormones in certain food that causes the issues. But speaking of Vegan and plant based,this product (if you search the ingredients) is not as chemically scary as other products on the market.

(I’m not a fan of drugstore brands so when I say whim, I mean it. ) Soft fragrance, this foams nicely and rinses clean taking dirt makeup with it. Afterwards I see a huge improvement in my cheeks – they’re plump not so many lines.

When used with the corresponding gel moisturizer my skin looks amazing. As each day passes I see more of an improvement. I keep a bottle of this in the shower at my sink and use it primarily as the 2nd cleanser in my double cleanse.

It works great on its own, I just prefer to double cleanse with an oil. Definitely worth trying since it’s inexpensive.

I received a free deluxe sample of the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Cleansing Gel from SoPost. This is super hydrating cleanser that features a dermatologist-tested formula that is hypoallergenic non-comedogenic.

As for my experience using this facial cleanser, I seriously appreciate the gentle lightweight lather, it cleansed my face beautifully and it didn’t make my skin feel tight after washing at all. I also love that it’s fragrance free! While I have been using my sample mainly for a double cleansing routine, I noticed that this cleansing gel actually did an amazing job removing my excess leftover makeup and mascara (that my oil cleanse didn’t wash off)… It didn’t sting my eyes either, which was a pleasant surprise.

Overall, I’m pleased with how effective and hydrating this Neutrogena Cleansing Gel is and I would gladly buy a full-sized bottle to make it a permanent part of my skincare routine!.

I received a trial size of Avène Cleanance Cleansing Gel from BzzAgent in exchange for an honest review. I’ve currently replaced my normal cleanser with this one for the past week, and I’ve really enjoyed it.

I’ve found that Avène Cleanance Cleansing Gel has a wonderful consistency, it is in fact a gel as it says, but this has been enjoyable for me due to switching from a more liquid based cleanser. I find that I lose less product when trying to lather and I find it easier to get the correct amount.

A little bit of this goes a long way, I use about a pea sized amount for my entire face and neck. The gel creates a full lather that has a wonderful feel to it. It goes on easily and rinses clean without any film or greasy feeling left behind, which makes it a bit quicker to use compared to some other products.

The scent is enjoyable and light, not overwhelming. As someone with oily, acne prone skin, this works really well for me as it’s a bit drying, but not so much that my face feels parched after use, just enough to cleanly wash the oil from my skin, while still remaining soft.

It leaves your skin with a bit of a matte finish to it, which for me creates a perfect base for moisturizer and night time skincare routines, or is a fantastic base to apply makeup. It’s also good for sensitive skin as sometimes cleansers are irritating to me or cause redness after use.

I’ve noticed it’s been beneficial in helping to clear a few acne spots I currently have just within a week of use, and I notice my face is less oily the morning after using it. All in all it’s a great addition to a skincare routine for anyone whose skin might fit these parameters.

I’ve really enjoyed using the Avène Gel Cleanser! The color itself is unique compared to any other cleanser I’ve used (I love the blue!) and it leaves your skin feeling amazing afterwards. I’ve used many different cleansers and gel is definitely my favorite, so I’d 100% buy this product again.

I love the feeling of it in your hands and it lathers well on your face without leaving a sticky residue. My face feels great afterwards and it does well at stripping the oil and grime, even on my oily skin! The only reason I gave this product 4 stars is because the scent isn’t very appealing and it’s intense! I normally don’t mind products with fragrance but this one is completely overwhelming and makes me sneeze every use.

If you’re sensitive to fragrance than I don’t recommend this cleanser. Despite that, I would still suggest this cleanser if you enjoy gel consistency or want to try something new. As mentioned, I would definitely use it again.

In reference to the picture attached, this product is clearly not an acne cleanser but it does great at cleaning your face efficiently and making your skin feel soft.

I received this as a sample to try. I love the gel consistency of this cleanser. It lathers a little bit but not much. It seems to break down my makeup well which is great. The downside to this product, from my perspective, is the heavy fragrance.

I don’t mind a little fragrance but this is intense and overpowering. I first tested it on the inside of my arm because I have really sensitive skin and I need to test a product before putting it on my face.

Just trying it on my arm the fragrance was overpowering, so much so that I could actually taste it in my mouth. I didn’t get a rash on my arm I assumed it would be safe to use on my face. It removed my makeup, but naturally, I could taste the product even without it getting in my mouth just because of how scented it is.

It was as if I had eaten soap – not pleasant. Because of the strong scent, and a slight sticky feeling on my skin after using it, I didn’t feel clean. It felt like I still had cleanser on my face and a ton of chemicals.

I also noticed some redness and a little bit of itchiness after using. If you have sensitive skin or are sensitive to fragrance I suggest steering clear of this. I do have sensitive skin but I’m not sensitive to fragrance yet this was horrible.

My holy grail I found this product through youtube rave and Im usually not one to want to go with the trends because many products are often overhyped in my opinion. I saw that kathleenlights used this and we share several of the same problems with our skin dry, redness, etc.

She said that it was not harsh on her sensitive skin and helped with the dryness. I ordered it online and was so excited for it to come in. So happy i made this purchase. One of the best purchases of 2015 for me.

My skin is sooo sensitive and so many products make me break out, but not this one. I simply soak it onto a cotton round and use it to remove makeup or to just clean and refresh while gently moisturizing my face.

I notice after i use this, my face feels really soft. It is not at all harsh because its been near my eyes and it does not burn. It has a very light, fresh clean smell. I use it to remove makeup, wash my face, apply toner, then moisturize.

This has made my skin significantly healthier looking and doesnt strip my skin of its nutrients and helps balance out oiliness and keeps my face looking smooth. I would honestly recommend this to anyone, even dry sensitive skin as it worked wonders for me.

I saw this ‘new’ product in the Garnier face care section of most department stores- it was actually out of stock some places. I was visually wistnessing some hype here. So I had to try it for myself.

I loathe having oily skin; it really takes the fun out of wearing sunscreen, moisturizers, EVERYTHING. Of course, I have a ton of high-end products to help me with my oily faced needs, and it’s a challenge to find a good product that doesn’t dry out your face, or become invasive.

My first use: I decided one pump is plenty, and the formula lathers very nicely. It had a vibrant tingling sensation (due to the menthol) and it smelled good, very fresh. Charcoal can sometimes be abrasive, but this formula is pleasant and easy to use.

I advise keeping your mouth tightly shut, as this product is lighter and can run into cracks and crevices, and it doesn’t taste too good. After giving my problem areas a good scrub, I wash off the product.

I honestly see the word “mattifying” on so many products these days, but I must admit; this actually made my face feel wonderfully matte and soft. First result is great, so I decide to use it for a full week before making a grand assumption (the back says that is when you will most likely see results).

I continued the routine in the morning only. Once a day. It has done a great job co-mingling with my other daily face care products and so far, the results have been very favorable. No breakouts, easy make-uo application, and softer skin.

It does help with oiliness. I’m even embarrassed to say that this works better than some of my more expensive oil control skin care systems. I think Garnier really delivered with this product, and certainly stayed true to their claims.

When I opened my box, I was greeted with a wave of menthol scent as I noticed that about 1/3 of the bottle had spilled all over the box. When I tried to open the pump,the pump head and the section attaching it to the straw portion came off in my hand.

Upon closer inspection I noticed that the single screw thread that attached it to the straw had broken off. No hope to repair it, but it’s a fairly standard pump size and it was easy to get another one to replace it.

I don’t know if this happened during shipping or if I got a defective product, but it is worth noting that the pump isn’t the best quality. The cleanser itself is not bad. It does have a menthol scent which is refreshing, and it actually does offer decent yet gentle exfoliation.

I noticed a little bit of redness after use, but nothing that didn’t go away after a minute or so. If you have very sensitive skin I’d recommend using this every other day instead of daily as I think it might have the potential to be a little irritating.

It left me feeling clean and refreshed after use. A little goes a long way with this product. As far as oil reduction, I didn’t notice a difference with a week of daily use. Bottom line: Despite not noticing and oil reduction and potential packaging issues, this is a decent cleanser for its price point.

I was very excited to try the Garnier SkinActive Cleansing Gel. I tend to have oily skin, so I am constantly switching up my face washes and was intrigued by the claims that this wash mattifies skin and focuses on shine control.

I was also excited to try a charcoal product as that seems to be all the rage lately. The first thing I noticed when I used it is that it smells great! It kind of reminds me of a men’s cologne but it’s a light smell; not overpowering.

Washing it off of my face felt super refreshing as well-I think that’s the Menthol ingredient. I expected it to be much thicker and coat on my face, but was pleasantly surprised at how light and not sticky it is.

As you can see from the picture, it gets sudsy and feels like it’s reaching deep into every part of my face. One squirt goes a long way, so I feel like I could get a lot of use from one bottle. After using this for a week, I actually felt comfortable going out to dinner without wearing any foundation.

I can truly see a difference in my pores and skin clarity. This is my new favorite face wash and I would highly recommend it to any skin type!.

This cleanser is absolutely amazing. It has a gel like consistency and leaves my skin feeling balanced yet clean. It’s gentle and doesn’t cause me to break out. I use this as my morning cleanser. I only wish it smelled better.

I know Aesop is known for how botanical their products smell and I usually love them, but this one particularly smells like cough medicine. So I will be trying the other cleaners to see if I can get the same face wash with a better scent.

In a desperate attempt to tame my cystic acne right before my dad’s wedding, I looked up different treatment options. Found this at the top of the list of a page developed by dermatologists. After the first use, I felt much cleaner in my skin.

Found this at a local Walgreens for $15. Which was cheaper than I had anticipated. I liked it so much, I later went to my local Ulta and purchased this little 3-piece kit. (They had the same one at Walgreens for the same price – roughly $30.

) With the first few uses of the wash, followed by the toner and spot treatment, my face was kind of on fire and tingled terribly. I figured it was due to the damage I had done previously, desperately trying everything to diminish these giant growths on my face.

After I purchased the repair lotion with SPF 30, ($22 at Ulta) and used it a few times to replenish the moisture I had stripped out of my face, I do not have the same burning or tingling sensations after using the wash or toner.

This kit has seriously sped up the healing process, redness and pimple size significantly diminished, no excessive dryness or scarring. I love it and will certainly use for the unforeseeable future. I have been using this for about 2 weeks now.

I did have another break-out this week but with only two this time. This kit has stopped it dead in its tracks. Mind you, cystic acne does take longer to heal, but it hasn’t gotten any worse.

I absolutely love this cleanser, I use it every single night for my night time regime. I got it for $15. 99 from ultra’s website but you can buy it on the brand’s site for a dollar less. I would not recommend using this if you have cystic acne.

I had really bad and inflamed acne for a while and using this cleanser alone didn’t do enough for me. I did not have cystic acne either. Salicylic acid is a betahydroxy acid (BHA) and is the main ingredient in this cleanser.

This is definitely effective but not using it by itself. If your acne is not so severe you could probably use it alone and it will clear up but in my own experiences I had to get on a prescribed astringent medication given by my doctor.

Using that along with the effacer cleanser has slowly been able to fight off my acne. Overall this cleanser is pretty amazing and is a great tool in controlling my acne. I love it and it is pretty affordable, you can’t beat it!.

I don’t say this lightly, but this product and brand not only changed, but also saved my life. I have been dealing with terrible acne for the past 5 years that has both been caused by hormonal changes (due to a medication I was on years ago) and also clogged pours.

I have spent hundreds and probably even thousands over the years trying different facial products to try to get rid of my acne, but to no avail. Before then, I have always had incredibly clear skin and not a single issue.

I have since bought more products from the La Roche Posay brand and I couldn’t be any happier with them. After the 2 week mark, I purchased the La Roche Posay hydrating gentle cleanser, the lipikar lotion, the touleraine ultra moisturizer, the Effaclar duo acne treatment, the double repair facial moisturizer and also the Effaclar mat moisturizer.

Literally every single product I have tried has been an absolute God-send! All of their products are dermatologist tested and approved and they are non comedogenic which means they DO NOT CLOG PORES!!! My face would sometimes be a little dry after using the Effaclar medicated wash, the Adapalene gel and the Effaclar duo treatment, so I began using the touleraine ultra moisturizer in the morning because it feels light on my skin, and then the lipikar lotion on my face at night to get a good hydration going overnight! I love using the double repair facial moisturizer under a very light layer of makeup and the Effaclar mat moisturizer is an absolute holy grail item used under a full face of makeup because it also acts as a primer.

This is a really long review but I wanted you all to know that these products, while a little on the pricier side of daily skincare, are absolutely AMAZING and worth EVERY penny. Thank you so much La Roche Posay for saving my skin and bringing back the happiness and confidence that I lost 5 years ago.

The before and after pictures speak for themselves! This is a ONE MONTH DIFFERENCE.

It is just like all other French acne control cleansers. IT even has the same smell as Vichy and Bioderma. It clears the dead skin. Dries the skin quite a bit. Can’t find a good moisturizer to go with this.

The EAU thermal doesn’t work well with this. Skin doesn’t get moisturized enough. I would recommend someone with oily skin to use it. Doesn’t work for dry skin prone to acne.

First I got from a friend a small test bottle of this product and I loved it! It’s the best consistence for morning use, very gentle, smooth and nice. The smell is also very good, not strong, but rather thin and elegant.

In the evening I use another cleanser , but for mornings this one is the best in my opinion!.

I do like this cleanser. It is gentle and doesn’t leech the skin of natural oils. Consequently, it leaves the skin soft – for the most part. For aging skin, you’ll still need to moisturize as well. I notice the difference when I change to other products, so I keep coming back to this one.

Honestly this product was not for me. I felt like I had to use a fairly good amount to get a lather. There really was no scent to it whatsoever, I guess I was expecting a papaya smell. I don’t feel like my skin got really clean with this.

It was not drying at all, I will say that for it and it did not leave my skin feeling oily. I just didn’t feel like it gave me any results or a real feeling of clean m. It was referred to me, as my regular cleanser was on back order.

I really love the Revision products but this is just an okay comparative to Revision Skincare Brightening Facial Wash that I use. If I hadn’t tried it first, I’d probably like this one well and given it 4 or 5 stars.

Depending on what you’re needing for a good face wash, really examine what each Revision product offers. Each do exactly what you’re looking for with superior results. Even better than the $100-200. 00 products – waaaaaay better!.

Due to the nature of my current skin issues I was certain I was going through major hormonal changes (I’m 35) so I got blood work done to check allergies and any underlying health issues, an ultra-sound to see if I have PCOS.

Long story short, I’m in perfect health. So I saw dermatologist and she told me the skin care products I’m using are drying, aggravating, and damaging my skin + it’s barrier. I have gotten deep thick cystic type acne that has formed on my cheeks and chin (not disregarding a mixture of diet here too).

My skin however is also extremely red, blotchy, dull, and looks so irritated. I’ve been asked if I’m sunburned a few times, which is always a pleasure, lol. Hearing this news from my Dermatologist was horrible to hear since Aveda products are not I have been using this entire product line for 4 months now, and my skin looks the worst it ever has.

I have been using the botanical kinetics line since I was 20 years old and I am 47 years old. First of all, just the fact that I have been using it this long says so much. The natural scent is incredible; it is light, exotic and has become my ‘signature’ scent you could say.

now my husband buys me the entire skin care line every year for my birthday (the 16 oz) which last forever. Once in a while I would try something else just to change things up, but always come back to this Aveda line as nothing else seems to match it.

After realizing today that I have been using it for 27 years (many people tell me I look much younger than I am in my 30’s) it is safe to say I am a regular customer who is very very happy with my many many purchases over the years! Don’t feel guilty about the price, it is comparable with others and you are getting a pure and natural product that works, smells divine and is a beautiful natural product!.

What have you done w my Aveda skin care products? This gel cleanser has been reformulated and is very watery compared to the last bottle I purchased that was running out. Thought it must be on off bottle so purchased another one at Aveda distributor and compared it to the one I was replacing.

Both new ones were much more watery. Have been using Aveda since Horst first started the business and have seen changes w the products, both good and not so good, over the years but this by far is the worst modification.

My favourite night time cleanser for acne prone skin. I use this first followed by a hydrating cleaner to double cleanse at the end of the day. This gets rid of all the build up on my skin from the day.

It’s drastically helped with unclogging my pores and helping clear my acne in the long run. I’ve been using this cleanser daily for a over a year now! It’s gel like consistency makes is soft to use and my dry skin doesn’t feel stripped after using this.

I have this Bioderma cleanser in the small packaging and I’m using it in combination with the Bioderma purifying matte face cream. It gives balance to my oily skin, it cleanses well, it’s not too harsh, not too mild.

It has a jelly formula which makes it easy to use without having to worry if it spills and this travel size is really practical. -Have I tried better cleansers for acne prone skin? -Absolutely, but this one is really fair.

As I said before this whole set of sebium leaves your skin radiant, smooth and will never go back to any other skin care. I have used this set for a bit over 2 years and my skin has done a complete 360.

I didn’t have extreme acne but it was something that was always there. My skin is soft, not as delicate and my pores are a lot smaller and healthier in general.

I’ve been using this for almost a year in my skincare routine. If you wet your face well before using, it only takes a tiny dot to cleanse the face/neck. I use a Sephora brand facial cleansing pad to wash with this cleanser & I think that helps the product last even longer than if you were just using your hands.

I have combination skin that tends to get oiler & more unpredictable in the humid climate I live in so I use this AM & PM on my oiler days but only AM if my skin is behaving. The best part of this cleanser for me is it really does cleanse my skin & remove my makeup (especially tough to remove waterproof mascara) like no other cleanser I’ve tried.

I always see evidence of this when I use a toner after & never have makeup residue/dirt still coming off on the cotton pad. I tend to prefer skincare that has little to no scent but I actually really enjoy the fresh & citrusy scent, it’s a wake-up/mood booster in the morning.

I have seen some poor reviews on this product concerning drying but that hasn’t been my experience. If my skin is having a drier day I use a sensitive skin cleanser but that doesn’t happen that often for me so I think maybe like a lot of products it may work better for some people than others.

I know that I have had people swear by certain makeup items that work for a lot of people that did not work at all for my skin so I think it is just one of those things. I follow this with the OLEHENRIKSEN Truth Serum & Banana Bright Eye Creme in the AM.

I got this as part of a set from Boots and have used for 3 months. I cannot believe the number of good reviews for this useless product. I only ever use this in the morning as you cannot trust it to remove any makeup in the evening.

Even days I don’t wear makeup and use this, my face does not feel clean. It doesn’t remove even eyeshadow so don’t even bother with waterproof makeup. Matte lipstick also stays behind. Additionally, my face doesn’t feel hydrated after using this and doesn’t provide that “Vitamin C glow” like other, cheaper products.

The only pro about this is how amazing it smells, but when the product is terrible, why would I care?.

Not worth your money. This product does not clean well especially if you have a foundation on or any type of makeup and does not dissolve easily, it’s like rubbing your face with a gooey substance. Not enjoyable.

Also when you rinse your face guaranteed to have orange goo in your sink afterwards. Not worth it. Not worth the hype either. The only positive is that you smell oranges! So the smell is pleasant.

This cleanser is amazing, it actually surpassed my expectations. It cleans so well and is still gentle at the same time. I have very sensitive skin and my skin did not react at all. Not only that it also evened out discolouration as it has diminished some dark/age spots I have from the sun.

It also seems to prep the skin to take in products after cleansing. After cleansing my moisturiser seemed to absorb so much more effectively. I’ve been buying Skinceutical products one at a time as I use up all my old skincare and each product I get from this line is so good! I thoroughly recommend this brand and emailing for advice from FTF as their advice helped me to make my decisions!.

I’ve actually only used this once, and I can definitely say that it is surprisingly good at really cleaning your skin without over-drying or that “tight” feeling. You do not need a lot at all, which makes the price must more justified.

However, I feel like I still smell the fragrance and I am not a fan. Its somewhat feminine and reminds me of a perfume I’ve smelled before. I usually prefer things that don’t have a lot of fragrance so I can just put some cologne on and smell like that alone.

Usually, cleansers aren’t an issue because the smell passes quickly, but this one seems to stick around. If I liked the fragrance I would be really happy with the product. I’d recommend it to anyone who doesn’t mind lingering fragrances- I’m sure some would really like it.

I’m not sure what I’ll do with it. I’ll ask others if they can smell it and decide from there, or maybe just use it at night so it doesn’t follow me through the day.

This is a good gentle cleanser great ingredients but I don’t love it! I love the Resist Perfectly Balanced Foaming Cleanser way more!! I feel like it thoroughly cleanses the skin, but at the same time has gentle ingredients as well.

This calm nourishing gel one I feel doesn’t clean the skin as much as I would like. I don’t feel like it has been properly cleansed. This is definitely more suited for people with very sensitive skin as it suggests.

This is by far my favourite PC cleanser out of the Skin Balancing Oil Reducing Cleanser and Resist Perfectly Balanced Foaming Cleanser. It is gentler than both of them. It has a lovely plush gel consistency it cleanses my skin thoroughly and never leaves it tight or dry.

Please never discontinue! It has Aloe Vera which helps to soften and soothe skin and any inflammation. It’s fragrance-free like all of Paula’s amazing products, but I just love the clean scent! I love the white packaging as well it looks elegant.

I have combination skin, easily irritated rosacea on my cheeks and an oily T zone – literally the worst combination. I purchased this cleanser after wanting to upgrade my supermarket cleanser, I have been watching hours and hours of skincare youtube videos and I wanted to feel like I was being more dedicated to my skincare and routine.

My previous £3 cleanser is a well known fragrance and alcohol free “sensitive cleansing milk” which is available at supermarkets and boots. I wanted to keep with a sensitive product – although I do completely trust PC ingredients and formulations and the brand itself, I must say that this leaves my skin feeling tighter and does not calm the redness or leave my skin as plump and hydrated as my £3 supermarket option.

I have been using it for 4 days now, twice a day (I don’t double cleanse, and I only use slightly warm water and I am very gentle) I was not expecting a miracle, but I was at least expecting it to do the same, if not better than a £3 cleanser, considering it is 6x the price.

I am going to persevere with it, as it is not causing a flair up so no need to waste it – but it is to be noted what a lot of skincare influencers do say online, that you really shouldn’t have to spend a lot of money to get a good product if you know what to look for in the ingredients, which I do.
