works well! straightens my hair nicely, and I have coarse hair. I like how I can easily “curl” or “bend” my hair under – or over – with the curved-edge. I bought the 1-1/2″ Curved Edge Flat Iron also.

Sometimes a hair strand or 2 are laying on the ceramic bar though.

I used this cheap iron on my hair and it caused static and frizz. I’m a African American woman with thick curly hair. I have seen what good flat irons like Chi can do and this one was some junk. The first day from the store I could see it already rubbing off.

I had it on setting 10 and didn’t use any heavy products. I just used a dime size of heat serum and already the ceramic is fading. I had to look at the box to see how much ceramic it had and saw that it said nano ceramic.

That means that the iron only has a thin coating of ceramic. This iron is not going to last long and wont keep your hair healthy. It also snagged my hair and left it looking like I needed my ends cut again.

If your not use to flat ironing your hair, then you might not notice how this product is damaging your hair. If you are someone that knows quality and get your hair done, then you will see how poor this flat iron is.

My hair is naturally curly and not course, so this iron did not give me the healthy relaxed look. Save your money and buy a better flat iron that will protect your hair. I would also stay away from anything that say nano ceramic.

It is so true that you pay for what you get. Lesson is don’t be cheap when it comes to taking care of your hair.

Been using cheap straighteners for years and finally decided to splurge after my last one broke, big mistake. I’ve never used a straightener that has damaged my hair this much which is confusing because it advertises a 392 degree temperature but causes more damage than my straighteners that I use at 400+ degrees.

I have clip in extensions that I had to throw away because one pass through this straightener ruined them, like it straight up sizzled them. Worst part, it makes your hair stink! Again, something I’ve never experienced with another straightener.

Chi customer service doesn’t care either. I called because I wanted to let them know that I genuinely think something may be wrong with this straightener or at least the batch it came from and they didn’t even take down the batch number or anything, just said they would look into it but took down no info.

They do have a warranty where you can sent the straightener in with a $15 check and get a replacement but that is such a hassle that I decided to just buy a different straightener from a different brand.

Who has time to send their straightener in the mail and wait for a new one with the additional charge of $15 for a product I already bought? I always heard CHI regraded as the holey grail of hair tools so maybe mine was just defective but it was absolutely awful.

What can I say? My Chi is my BFF. I’ve had my Chi for approx 15 years and it’s still working as good as new. I believe the reason why it’s lasted this long is because I never bundle, wrap or twist the cord.

I’ve always allowed it to flow freely and believe this makes a huge difference. I have naturally curly hair and sometimes my curls tend to frizz when I towel dry or blow dry so I’ve come up with the best way to give me the best results.

Here’s my régimen: I shower and wrap my towel on my head immediately for approx 6 minutes. Once I’m ready to take the towel off I slowly unravel being careful not to use friction from the towel on my hair.

I then comb through with a wide tooth salon comb and allow my hair to air-dry completely. I then comb through my hair first taking out any twists, curls or snags. and finally section my hair. I make sure to completely go over my hair strands in smaller sections from root to end in one steady swipe with my.

I also must note: I truly love my Chi because unlike other brands, you only need to go over a thin strand of hair once which means less heat damage. Also, as an FYI: This ceramic Chi can get extremely hot so be sure to use with care and ALWAYS make sure your hair is completely dry before using for safest and best results.

I have been an avid Chi straightener user since as long as I can remember. I’m on my 4th one. I’m over a cpl decades. They last for so long! The Ceramic/tourmaline plates help hair not get frizzy.

And the straighten straightens hair so easily. Some models have temperature controls, the basic just an on off switch. My hair is pretty thick, frizzy and course, my Chi straightener never lets me down! Of course always use heat protectant when heat styling!.

I would had gave this iron a 5 star but I bought one a little bigger than a inch and it worked 2 times now won’t even turn on so I went and got another but this is the one inch and it’s still in the box.

I have very thick red hair so not many straightening iron work well on my hair to make it look really straight, and if I went and bought another that shows you how much I did like the performance. They wouldn’t even let me switch it out because I got it is a gift from my mother because she asked me what I wanted she didn’t give me the receipt she threw it away because she knew I wanted that, and they said without the receipt I couldn’t do nothing about it which really bummed me out because it was a really good straightener and it was a little bigger, which I liked the only reason I got the 1 inch was because that’s the only one they had but it’s the same exact one.

It’s quick heat up, it’s adjustable temp is great for all kinds of hair, if you use it for curls, as well as straight, it holds your hairstyle. It’s gentlle for my fine hair. I’ve only had it a short time, but so far am very impressed with it.

Oh and the price was comparable.

Best straightener I have ever owned. This is the second one I’ve bought in 4 years, and not because the last one broke but because I passed it on to someone else who loved it! I use to only buy CHI but after using this, I can never go back.

CHI is overpriced and not durable! They can’t handle daily use. This doesn’t snag and glides through hair. I love the gripping matte texture, the automatic 1 hr shut off, and the swiveling cord. I am white with thick hair that is probably 7/10 in terms of curliness.

Tight but not ringlets. I use this to get straight hair, or beachy curls/waves. It’s always soft and holds style between washes. The cherry on top is that it isn’t overpriced!.

Love this flat iron. Highly recommend. My go to has always been Chi, for years. I decided to give this one a shot as my hair just was not looking the same and I was tied of replacing with another Chi.

I love how the cord is wrapped and has a Velcro sticky band around it, so all I have too do is wrap it back up and put the band around the cords. I also love the two flat iron covers for it because its a new way of protecting them.

The instructions are very clear and understanding. Most of all what I absolutely love about the Kristin Ess – 3-In-One Ceramic Flat Iron is that once you hit the on button you can easily adjust the temperature too the proper temp for your hair.

Its doesnt get super hot to where I cant hold it, it do not make my hair fry or pop or even break off while I am straightening my hair. The metal flattening plates are so so soft and easy too grip my hair to the roots.

It straightens with out me having too keep going over and over my hair, my hair is alway silky smooth and looks as if I have gotten it done by a professional. Easy too turn off and cools down very very quickly and so easy to put away and store.

I don’t know what everyone is complaining about. I use this flat iron about once a week, between straightening or curling my hair. I love that the button is on the inside. I have problems with breakage so I’m glad it glides along my hair so easily.

I love the rubberized coating so it’s not slippery, and I travel a lot for work so the plastic end cover is a life saver when I have to straighten and pack everything up right away. Considering getting more for my family….

I have very curly thick hair and it is not easy to straighten. I was pleasantly surprised at how well the Revlon Extra Long Ceramic Flat Iron straightened my hair. Its light weight and my hand does not get tired during the process.

It also has several different heat settings, which is important for curly hair. My hair type requires a very hot flat iron to get all the curls out. Their is minimal hair loss from pulled hair, which is inevitable.

Overall this is a great product and I highly recommend for long curly hair. It works well for me and keeps my hair straight until I wash it out.

I have the nanoblack 3-in-one flat iron (couldn’t find it in Influenster) the full size, not the mini. It has a 9ft cord that moves with the iron (like if you’re doing curls) it’s not fixed to it, this is helpful if you’re like me have hair past your butt + it helps keep your cord from getting twisted.

This iron is beautiful, it has a very soft silky feel to it is super sleek looking. It’s fairly light weight comfortable to hold. My hand wrist don’t get tired half way through doing my hair. It doesn’t have a lock on it to keep it closed but it does come with a cap you can slide over the end which keeps it closed, the instructions sheet says the cap is heat proof but I don’t quite trust that it is so I leave the iron in my sink until it cools down before putting the cap on (which fits quite snugly) hanging it up.

As far as heat up time WOW this thing heats up FAST! It took less than 30 seconds for it to get up to temp! The sides are rounded so you can easily do curls without getting crease lines in them, although I haven’t quite mastered the technique of curling with a flat iron yet.

One thing I was worried about was that hair would snag but after using it a few times that’s no longer a concern. My hair slides through it like silk. It has ceramic plates which are great for those of us who tend to get static hair after using hot tools (ugh the worst) It has a few different heat settings.

I did have to look up how to do that since there’s no dial or specific button for that but it was easy to do. Just keep clicking the power button quickly until it’s the temp you want. When you plug it in you have to hit the power button, it doesn’t just start heating up on its own like other irons I’ve owned in the past.

With all that being said I definitely do recommend this iron if you’re in the market for a new one. It came in a really nice heavyweight cardboard box with a magnetic flap, I’m sure most will throw it away but if you’re like me keep the boxes to repurpose or so your tools are more protected during travel this is a good box that won’t be crushed or damaged easily.

I bought this item during the Target Black Friday sale. The first iron I received was defective and would automatically turn off as soon as I turned it on. I tried multiple plugs to make sure it was the iron and not the outlet before sending it back.

Target replaced it, although it took a few weeks to receive the new one. I have owned many other brands of irons, most of them considered higher end vs this one. I am impressed with the features this one comes with: electronic temperature control (my GHD does not have this), curved plate edges for curling hair (again my GHD does not have this), additional length of plates accommodating for long hair, and the smoothness of the Titanium plates.

It is packed with features for the price. However, it does not have dual voltage which means I can not travel with it as it won’t convert in other countries to their power type, which is something I general seek out in an iron.

Also, there is something about it that just feels a little flimsy compared to the GHD I am replacing it with, or the Amika I had previously owned, or even the Chi iron I had before that one. I use my iron every day, sometimes multiple times a day for touch ups, and they tend to last me about 2 years (doesn’t matter which brand) before they fizzle out.

I have long wavy hair, that I either straighten or put a curl into depending on how much time I have. I will keep this iron because I only paid $60 for it during the Black Friday sale, but it’s not my favorite of all the irons I have owned and used in the past.

It’s definitely “passable” and worth the $60 price tag however. I’ll be looking to purchase another iron with dual voltage when I am able to start traveling again. This one should get me through until then.

I received a defective hair straightener. Turns on fine, heats up, then if I move the straightener, it also moves the electrical cord of course, then it shuts off immediately. I turn it back on, and try to straighten my hair, again it shuts off immediately.

Manual says that temperature blink until it heats up, which it did, then once a desired temperature is reached, it suppose to be on a few minutes. In my case, I pick up the straightener after it heats up, then it shuts off and cools off quickly!!! Impossible to keep it warm, due to the electrical issue in the cord.

The product was defective. Not happy dealing with re-packing, printing labels, and packaging again. I have a video recording available to proof this issue. I am sure it works, not in my case. Not one star, if possible- there was no choice of 0 star.

I first tried the GHD Platinum+ straighteners on my ‘air dried’ hair when I was in a rush and was very suprised at how well they smoothed the kinks out – very quick too, as I didn’t need to run them over the same strands too often.

Plus, it only took only a minute to heat up! The second time, I used them with ‘blow dried’ hair, so obviously the finish was more sleek. Though I have thick, course, wavy hair with tight curls at the back and must say, I’m very pleased with how little time it takes to go through my mop either way.

There’s a good healthy shine too (I always used the GHD heat protection spray) and it doesn’t feel dry. Overall, they’re light and easy to use, leaves a great finish, no snags with the plates, nice long swivel cord, so it’s not knocking items off my dresser and theres a safety feature, so it switches off after 30 minutes of un-use.

They look and feel like great quality, as you’d expect from GHD. Looking forward to trying these out to create some loose curls next. Would definitely recommend!.

I have very thick hair so this is a perfect match for me. This straightens my hair well, but it’s damaging my hair. I’m having extreme breakage. Even with it being on a low setting and using heat protectants. A few other reviewers stated that it was breaking their hair off- I figured I’d give it a try anyways but I should’ve listened to the others.

The amount of breakage I’m having is extreme! My hair is pretty much to the middle of my back (I’m 5’2) and I have strands/sections/small chunks that are broken off near the top; that are only about 5 inches long.

I didn’t realize how bad it was until I had a hair appointment and then we were finding multiple places my hair had been broken off. My hair not fried or damaged. I have healthy hair and rarely get it colored- so it’s not due to that- I know that for sure.

As soon as I started using this straightener I noticed minimal breakage with my bangs- I turned the temp wayyyyy down and added an additional hair product. Because of how much hair I have I didn’t realize how bad the breakage was until we started combing through my hair at my hair appointment.

The majority of the major breakage is at the top of my head- the crown area. It doesn’t rip or snag my hair as I pass through- so it’s also not because of that. I’m past the return time period- so I’m now stuck with this expensive device that I’ll no longer be using.

While also being out additional money purchasing a new one that doesn’t break my hair off. I have thick long hair. Be cautious if purchasing this or when using it! Based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend.

I purchased this flat iron after my big splurge on the T3 curling iron that is amazing and feels so luxe and is easy to use. What a disappointment when I received this iron. I don’t know if it’s the shape of the design or what, but my hair slips out and will not straighten my hair nor curl it for the same reason of my hair slipping out.

This past weekend I decided to give it another try and this time decided to gradually raise the temp to see if this would straighten my hair, but unfortunately it did not. Such an expensive iron and it doesn’t do its job.

I have used Chi almost my entire life and I’ve been so happy with each of my Chi’s, not only because of how well they straighten my hair, but their durability. The two I own, one I purchased back in 2003 and the other one I bought in 2009.

Both of them still work like a charm! I can’t even return this stupid expensive flat iron because it’s been more than 90 days since I got it. I tried contacting T3 but they’re useless. Never again. I’m now on the market to get a new flat iron, and I’m researching and reading reviews before I make a decision.

But part of me is leaning towards buying another Chi… Don’t waste your hard earned money on this piece of junk!.

I had to run and grab a new straightener this weekend, because mine finally gave out. I didn’t mind the price of this one and I thought it wad super cute. It heats up quickly, and has an automatic shut off, so if your hair takes longer than 30 min to straighten then pay attention.

Has a 6 ft swivel cord which is awesome. Has only one button, so you have to hold the power button to turn on or turn off, and you just push it quick for the temp change. It’s soft to touch and doesn’t seem like it will slide easily off the counter.

My complaints are that it is hot to touch. I like to grab the end of my straightener as I pass over some of the back of my hair and I can’t do that with this one because it’s hot all over. You should be fine if you use a hear resistant glove.

I also found that it does slide over my hair easily, but the grip isn’t there for me. It did straighten my hair, but took several passes over most it (I do have wavy/curly hair). I think it would be better if my hair were already straight.

I’d recommend this item but maybe only if you have straight hair that isn’t terribly thick. I will be buying another of my old brand this week.

This straightener is wonderful!! I love the design and look and it’s so much better knowing it also actually works very well for my thick, coarse hair! The only issue I had wasn’t with the company that manufactured it but with the store I purchased it from.

It had been used and had fingerprints and hair product on the plates from someone using it before hand. I am not sure if someone returned it and they didn’t check to make sure it was re sellable but that definitely grossed me out.

Why would a store put this back out on the shelf? I had to clean and disinfect the product myself. Otherwise, it is an excellent straightener. Probably one of the best brands I’ve come across in a regular retail store!.

I HATE this iron. I never leave reviews but this one simply doesn’t do the trick for my hair. I have naturally wavy hair, thick and a little past my shoulders. It usually only takes me about 30-40 minutes to straighten it.

I’ve been working at my hair for over 2 hours because of the amount of times I have to go over each strand. I thought I was upgrading from my old iron, but I’ll gladly just buy a new one of my older conair.

I got this flat iron because it was on sale and I love a good deal. I was hoping that it would straighten my hair without pulling it, which it totally does, except because it’s so slippery it glides through so quickly it doesn’t do a consistent job getting it straight.

If the hair doesn’t go in perfectly then it will straighten just the top and the under piece doesn’t get straightened because it’s so quick. If that makes sense. So you have to run it through multiple times which is frustrating.

So it’s just okay for me. I’ve kept using my other flat iron because turns out I like it better and does a better job faster. However I will say the quality of this flat iron is very durable. It feels really nice and components are good quality.

This was my second purchase of this particular flatiron. I loved the first one and continue to use it. That is why I ordered a second one. However I have never used the second one because the temperature doesn’t go further than 220.

I tried calling and the message said you were not taking any calls at this time due to Covid. Then I emailed you about my situation a week ago and I have yet to get a response. Very disappointed !.

Best investment I could’ve made. My hair is thick and curly. I’ve had the hardest time finding a flat iron that completely straightens my hair. These just glide right through my hair.

Being married to a hair stylist and having 3 teenagers in the house means we need some very high quality electric trimmers to keep our hair in line. I have bought many different consumer and professional hair trimmers over the past 30 years, so I know quality when I see it.

Fortunately, these Hair Clippers did not disappoint. Right out of the box, you could feel and see the high quality components to this trimmer kit, the two trimmers feel every bit professional quality in the hand, and the blades and motors on both made quick work of the three boys’trims.

The motor is strong but much quieter than the Wahl pro unit that my wife used to use. Lastly, the kit comes with a great variety of guard sizes to choose from, with blade lubricant, and even includes a really nice, stylish cape do it all in style.

Definitely a 5 star kit. I hope this one lasts us a long time, because I see no reason to look for anything else at this great price!.

Beeping and defaulting to a cooler setting, on first use. Retuned within a week explaining this, as my previous Cloud Nine irons never did this in 3 years of using them! Customer services advised me: “I would advise you to apply a little less pressure when using the product and you will no longer hear the intermittent warning beep” After straightening my hair for 20 years, this has never been an issue previously.

Disappointed that my complaint was brushed off as me not being able to use the product correctly. The irons were retuned to me, and despite ‘multiple tests being carried out by engineers’, hey presto! The beeping and defaulting to a lower heat setting happened again on first use.

Not a happy customer after speaking £149 on these.

This is an honest review. I read all the raving reviews and got this after much research and no this not a good straightener (so i have returned it). I have coarse hair that go a little above my elbows.

It took me many passes to straighten my hair on the 450 heat. It did straighten my hair but not as well as i wanted and definitely not the ends. This is the part that bothered me the most. After straightening, my hair felt coarse and fried.

I always deep condition and use heat protectant before straightening. But no matter what i did this just made my hair feel very dry and fried after straightening. I had to use the highest heat setting because it was not straightening my hair on lower settings.

Very very disappointed. Used it twice because since I really wanted to like this i wanted to believe i was wrong. Sadly I wasnt 🙁 got this a week ago and now returning. It did glide on the hair and did somewhat straighten the hair (not the ends though- they looked very bad) hence two stars for that.

I have used remington flatirons all my life but this was a huge disappointment.

I have long, frizzy, color-treated hair so I wasn’t certain that this flat iron would be able to work on my hair because most of the time, the mainstream flat irons don’t work for me. I must say that I ended up being very pleasantly surprised.

It exceeded my expectations and I am thrilled to find a more cost efficient flat iron that actually works well on my hair. As for the flat iron itself, this thing heats up super quickly. I have had flat irons that you have to leave and come back to later in order for them to be the right temperature.

This one was ready to use in no time at all. The package says that it heats up in 15 seconds and that is very accurate. There is no wait time at all with it. You basically plug it in, set it to the desired temperature and it’s ready to go.

I had a bit of a hard time trying to determine the correct temperature for my hair. My hair is color treated and the instructions say to use it at 340-380 degrees. However, it is very thick and frizzy and it says that thick hair should be used at temps of 400-450 degrees.

I decided to use it at 400 degrees and that really worked for my hair without making it feel like it was burning it. I love the digital temp that tells you the exact degree of heat that you are using on your hair.

The 1″ is small but I found that it was easy to use once you separate your hair into sections. I didn’t have to keep going over my hair. I would use it once and it was done for that section. I did notice that the tool didn’t seem to clamp down on my hair very much.

It was not tight when pulling it down my hair. I guess that doesn’t make a huge difference but I’m more used to using one that really clamps down on your hair. There is an automatic shutoff mechanism that will turn off the appliance after 1 hour.

I like this and have not attempted to leave it on one hour to see if it works or not but I like having this safety feature as peace of mind in case I do ever forget to unplug it. The plates are supposed to be made with real crushed pearls.

I don’t know what all that means but I can honestly say that it really did straighten and smooth my hair. Remember, my hair is very frizzy and thick and after using the flat iron, my hair was so smooth and silky that I could hardly keep my hands from touching it.

It made my hair look so much nicer and it lasted throughout the next day until I washed it. I would say to do a really thorough job, it took me about 10 minutes to straighten it which is pretty fast in my opinion.

All in all, I highly recommend this flat iron and would recommend it to anyone that desires silky, smooth hair.

I’m a hairstylist and when I saw this featured on another stylists page I was intrigued. I purchased it and fell in love. Well, clumsy me, I dropped it a couple times (I’ve dropped plenty of tools before) and didn’t know something was wrong with it.

For this price tag, I assumed it would be pretty sturdy. Well, it burnt the hair clean off my clients head when turning on the infrared ability. I cried and comped her service. Thank God she has a head full of hair.

When I contacted customer service, they let me know warranty states that if there is any physical damage then the warranty is null. There was a little part where the cord is that helps it swivel, yeah that broke off.

So there’s that! I don’t know any hairstylists that hasn’t dropped anything while working but like I said for the amount of money, I thought that it would be more sturdy.

Truth be told, I didn’t have any true issues with my old ceramic flat irons results. It was getting old and needed replacing from wear and tear. You don’t know what you don’t know! I have an area in the center of my head that has a completely different texture than the rest and typically determines when my hair is at the end of its flat ironed life.

I usually didn’t make it past 2-3 days when it was hot out or when my head sweat before my perfect silky flat ironed hair would turn frizzy and that area would get thick and unmanageable. My new Croc has by far exceeded the results I use to get from my old flat iron.

We can call this thick and unmanageable patch She-gra. The feel of my hair after flat ironing with my Croc was a bit silkier than before (no visual difference) and I am happy to report that She-gra has lasted 2 weeks and could actually last longer.

I have only had to add a little hair polisher every now and then, but it still feels great! With my old flat iron I had to wrap my hair around and tie it up in a scarf every night to prevent the ends from getting frizzy and dry, with my Croc I have been putting my hair in a bonnet unwrapped around my head and again it’s been 2 weeks.

I can’t leave without mentioning the design. At first I thought I would have trouble getting acclimated with the design being that it is different than my old one that I had been using for the last 15 years.

I had no issues with the change, it was easy to use. This thing is magic! ADP.

This is my fourth one from this company. I’ve never found a better one. Smooths, straightens easily, and it’s fast. My only complaint about this one at the moment is a high pitched noise coming from it.

It’s really annoying being so close to my ears at times. The first one I had of these lasted years. Every one after worked for about a year so keep that in mind when looking at the price. They do have some warranty program, but it requires you to mail it to them where you have to live without one for a month.

I just think the qualify is not as good, but it’s still the best option.

This is a holy grail item for me! The first one I got lasted me almost 10 years and for a flat iron under $20 to not only last that long but give incredibly smooth, shiny hair until it finally quit working says ALOT! I have since replaced with 2 (gotta have a back up in case they stop making it) and it works just as well as the first.

Heats fast, works phenomenal, super affordable, locks closed and has an auto shut off!!! Definitely recommend and as you read, have bought a few. 😊.

There is nothing negative I can say about this straightener. Seriously nothing. My husband and i started dating a little over 5 years ago and after spending night with him a few times,he bought me this to keep at his house.

I had a fifty dollar straightener at my home. He spent 16. 00 on this one at Walmart. It was sweet but I wasn’t putting much faith in it. Well wasn’t i wrong? This works perfectly, almost 5 years later it still works as good as when he got it for me and it’s the only straightener i have (my more expensive one died along the way).

It’s a 1inch flat ceramic iron that has an adjustable wheel to turn heat to your liking. It’s not in degrees but sequential numbers and idk if there is a key that tells what each number translates to in degrees but you learn what works for you wear so I never think about itm I know it gets seriously hot if you turn it all the way up and i can’t imagine running it thru my hair at that temp.

It straightens perfectly. With heat protector and product to keep my straight hair in place, I start with small chunks and slowly slide it thru my hair and I’m left with beautiful sleek hair that holds it’s look too.

It has on off switch to turn it off or it can be unplugged but if you leave your house and can’t remember, it will turn itself off after so long of not being used and five years later all the features still work.

No it’s not fancy, it’s basic but if you are like me and just use it to straighten your hair and don’t need any extras then get this inexpensive jewel.

I bought this hair straightener years ago (2011) and it had lasted me until 2019. So, based on my previous experience with the quality, I decided to purchase it again. Which, it is nowhere near the same from what it used to be.

Not only is the color a darker shade of purple now, which I hate because the previous version was a pretty cross between pink and purple, but it also has an unpleasant/burning smell. Not to mention, the plates don’t feel as smooth on my hair as they did with the previous version.

Personally, I think they produced good quality straighteners to build their reputation at first, but now that they have so many 5 star reviews, have scaled back on the quality to maximize profits. Idk.

Just super disappointed because they would have had a customer in me for life if they would have just left it the way it was :/.

I’ve used this same flat iron for about 5 years and I absolutely love it. It doesn’t fry your hair. The heat is distributed evenly. I try not to go over a patch of hair more than once because heat is damaging to permed hair regardless.

I set it on the 25 heat setting (it has up to 30), and I straighten small separations of hair by gliding the iron from root to ends slowly. Always leave my strands nice and silky. Heats up fairly quick.

Very affordable. Light-weight and convenient for travel also. It goes everywhere with me! Mine looks a bit dirty but that’s expected because it’s mostly white, with pink accent color. Conair never fails me! I’ve used many of their styling tools since 2005 to now.

I was going back and forth between a Conair and a Remington flat iron. I kept reading the reviews and comparing the prices. At first glance it seemed like the Remington had more reviews but the prices were higher and the one I was interested in was never in stock so I decided to take a chance and purchase this Conair Infinity iron.

I am very glad I gave it a chance. First, I love the size. It is 1. 5 inches where the Remington one I wanted only came in 1 or 2 inch sizes. I have long, thick, wavy, and basically, very unruly/frizzy hair.

I’ve always had trouble even with some pro brand irons (ie. BedHead), getting hot enough to actually straighten my hair. This one gets really hot, super fast, and has a heat setting that goes up to 455 degrees.

That’s the setting I’ve used and it’s been fantastic. I can’t believe how easily it straightens my hair. The floating plates glide so smoothly with no snagging and I don’t have to go over a section of my hair more than once or twice at the most.

(I do use a straightening cream (Lor`eal) and a heat protectant spray (Organix) before I use the flat iron, so these products probably help) While I am sure the Remington irons are good, I am extremely pleased with this Conair flat iron and don’t for a minute regret my purchase.

I would highly recommend it to anyone, especially those with thicker/course hair, because it gets hotter than most other flat irons and it just works as well or better than professional brands and at a fraction of the cost.
