20 Best Fanny Pack With Water Bottle Holder (2023 Updated)

I bought this to replace a Nathan belt I had been using for the last ten years or so. After reading reviews of other belts falling apart very quickly (in the first few uses), I opted for this one. In my three runs so far using this belt, I’ve found: 1.

The buckle continuously loosens through each run and requires a quick tug to tighten every mile or so, and definitely after replacing the bottle after every drink. This never happened with my old belt.

2. The supplied cap is awful. I gave it a shot…and then replaced it with a race cap as soon as I got home from my first run. 3. I miss carrying two separate bottles with the ability to carry two separate beverages.

I would have gone for the Trailmix, but the reviews for the Trailmix deterred me from getting it. At the time of this review, the trailmix has more 1 star reviews than 5 star reviews with an average of 2.

7. Overall, the peak hydration belt material is light and thin. The bottle does not fall out. It’s fine. But it seems like product quality has diminished.

I’ve used this bag on a near daily basis since purchased from REI in April 2021. My daily hikes vary between 4-6 miles w/ loads of incline and descents. Some trail-running sprinkled throughout each trek.

No stitching issues, no leaking bottle. The pouch is large enough to hold my ipod-touch gen-7 along with my house key and chap-stick. Easy to open & close while hiking with one hand. The extra cord on the side can come in handy for carrying a lightweight layer that has been shed once the weather warms up during a morning jaunt.

Easy to hand-wash although this does remove the Nathan logo and diagonal striping which does not hinder usage in any way. Pro-tip: I cut the belt down on the left side and moved (with a sewing machine) the female portion of the buckle closer to the pack so the male portion of the buckle extends over my abdomen and clicks together on my left side.

This allowed me to cut away a lot of unused (and unnecessary) belt strap.

When I bought this I was very cynical and almost positive I’d be returning it after my first run. Belts historically have not worked well for me with riding up and feeling off in certain places so I’ve mostly used vests.

However I wanted to get something that wasn’t as bulky for shorter distances. I was very surprised on my first run with this belt as to how comfortable it was. The bottle is also easily to access while keeping in the back.

I took it on 2 more runs to make sure it wasn’t a fluke and sure enough it works great! The only reason I give it 4 and not 5 stars is because I wish the pocket was bigger. My phone takes up the majority of the space leaving a tiny bit of room for my inhaler or some fuel, but not really both :(.

Nice product. I had a few expectations that weren’t exactly met but that’s not a bad thing. I originally wanted the 2litre but it was out of stock. I’m glad I got the 4litre as it is smaller than I expected.

I thought that it would be a little over my desired size but it’s perfect. I also expected the bag to be rubbery and thick. Instead, the bag is like a stiffer tent material. With well glued joints, solid feeling zippers, plenty of adjustment on the waist strap.

I’m really pleased with the product on the whole, I cannot wait to get out on the water with it.

Great waist pack. Waterproof inner pocket. Non waterproof zip pocket. Nice drink holder on the side. Main dry bag area. great for suncream, inspect spray, lip balm, keys, and waterways licence. Good materials, belt easy to adjust, don’t really feel it on.

Good overall product.

This is my third Overboard waist pack, not to say that they are poor quality. The first did have a fault and was replaced outside of warranty by OB. The replacement has now met its day after years of abuse, so on to this one.

The design has changed again with the addition of a small outer change pocket and it feels better again from the previous models. It still has the drinks pouch and is not see through any more which is fine for me.

This pack WIL keep your valuables dry whist out on your motorbike or whatever your chosen use is, good insurance for todays expensive phones!.

So, I bought this fanny pack about a year ago. I swore to myself that it would NOT turn into a treat pouch. see, I’m a dog trainer. But I also enjoy hiking, and told myself that this fanny pack would be STRICTLY for hiking and would stay dog-treat-stink-free.

Welp. I was wrong. After my third treat pouch (which I’d purchased from a dog training website and was specifically designed to BE a treat pouch), basically disintegrated after 2 months of use, I resorted to using the Mojave Waist pack.

And I am So. Glad. I. Did. I’ve now been using this bad boy for at least 6 months, specifically as a training pouch. It is so much roomier than ANY of my previous treat pouches, and has not started to fray at the seams like all the other ones started to do after 2-3 weeks of use.

See the tiny pocket on the front? Yeah, that one’s perfect for holding my keys and business cards. The bigger pocket? Poop bags and miscellaneous items. The biggest pocket? All of the treats. The cup holders for the water bottles? I have two tennis balls stacked in one of the holders, and the second holder is usually either for my phone or a regular water bottle.

My only complaint is that the water bottles that come with the fanny pack are cheap, leak, and difficult to drink from. I ended up trashing those. But the pack itself is wonderful, which is why it still gets five full stars.

I HIGHLY recommend this waist pack as a treat pouch to any dog trainer or pet parent.

Comfortable. Flexible. Mine was well made. Having two bottles helps balance the load. Is comfortable wearing front oriented, back oriented, and even side oriented. Can carry an afternoon’s worth of your favorite energy treats.

More than just adequate.

I bought this for my dad when he is outdoors. It seems well made, the belt, pouch and bottles. I think it’s a great idea, and it wide enough that you can put a bottle of pop in it too. It’s a good alternative to a hydration pack.

Definitely good for walkers and carries your keys, phone, etc.

I tried this on several rides of varying terrain, length, purpose… and even bike. Ultimately, I had to stop my ride each time to adjust this. After rides, I had sore spots where the cams hit my hipbones Giving this some thought, men and women have different shaped pelvis structures.

The area of the cam’s location made me wonder if this was tested or designed with women in mind… at all. If you’re thinking ‘of course that thing will slip all loaded up!’ I tested it empty, and same thing.

I wrote to Thule twice, with follow ups. It took over a month for response. And they offered me a discount on another product Next time I’ll be more careful to see a return policy Ultimately, just looking at this hurts me.

Maybe it’s different for a person with different dimensions. I’m 5’4 125. So, caution for you women and note to manufacturers… women ride, and we’re trying to increase that number. More riders = more cartop carriers, no?.

I absolutely love this pack and use it not only in the trails, also on ocean SUP paddle tours. I cannot fault this at all. Quality and design fall in line with what you’d expect out of Thule. I ride trail/enduro, this pack sits comfortably snug on my body with little to no movement, bladder mouth piece is super easy to access and hides away quickly.

Lots of room for trail side repair kits and snacks. Love the easy access phone pocket. I use an iPhone X in a life proof case…fits in the pocket with a bit more room. Totally recommend!.

Grabbed this pack about a month ago & love it for the right size on short quick lunch rides. The pack is very well constructed & feels durable. It’s got enough room for the essential tools & a peanut butter sandwich for when you reach the top of the trail to enjoy the view.

The zipper handles are easy to grab & open to access the goods. Best part is the mesh breathable waist strap & backing to keep sweat at bay & strap is very easy to tighten during those wild descends & loosen to make room after lunch.

For those 2 hr rides, the 2L sibling would be the smart choice when you need 2-3 bottles of freshness to keep you going. All in all, I recommend this product & keeps you in style & not look like a tourist in Disneyland.

This fanny pack is good for walking, definitely not for running. I bought this to run on a track. The pack bounced around like a basketball. My Samsung Galaxy barely fit inside. There’s a nice water bottle attached and nice reflective stripes.

The products have arrived earlier than I was expected. It said it will take 2 weeks but it took only a week. I love them. I bought one for myself and another one for the grandma. Quality product and very comfortable.

It is perfect for what I wanted to do. I did find it kind of annoying when I start to run instead of walking. The bottle is bouncing up and down, hitting my body. But, it is designed for walking, I have to give it 5 stars for that.

This is a great product but, I have 2 issues with it. One is that the pockets for water bottles are a bit too short and the bottle falls out very easily so, I had to rig something up so it doesn’t but, then it’s hard to get it out.

And two, the pockets on the hip flaps have no extra material so one can only put a few dollar bills in them. I’d like them to be able to hold more than that. Otherwise, it is very comfortable and useful.

Very high quality, has compression straps, hip belt pockets, very very comfortable. I liked it so well I ordered another one.

This is a very nice pack. Love the shoulder strap option to distribute the weight off the hips. Great value for the money.

Our Lincat water boiler failed. On strip down it proved relatively easy to repair and rebuild. These sensors, both the high and low water level are subject corrosion caused by limescale build up. They are easy to replace and and a massive saving on a new boiler!!!!.

Dont be tempted to buy just the probe. Buy the plastic securing fitting at the same time. The plastic becomes very brittle an will fall to pieces when you try to remove the old part from the boiler.

Bought this specifically to carry my dogs water bottle when walking him. The poo bags are fed through the headphone hole and works as a dispenser and theres plenty of other pockets to carry anything else like your phone etc.

Perfect for this use which is good as Im never likely to run anywhere!!.

This is exactly what I was hoping for — great design and quality. It’s a perfect size for daily walks, jogs, runs. I really love the collapsable water bottle holder, as I don’t always need/want to carry water.

Very roomy bag, three pockets with nice zippers, several compression straps to keep things from flopping around too much, and 2 water bottle holders but NO BOTTLES. The picture is misleading, and although it does say that water bottles are separate, I’m sure the majority of people looking at this think the bottles come with the bag.

I sure did, and I was kind of p. o. d when I got the bag. But after reading the description, I now realize that was my bad, lol. Still, come on, change the picture already. Overall it seems like a really nice bag that will be sturdy, although the waist adjustment strap is a pain in the neck to adjust.

Only problem with it is that the belt can get loose, it has two holders and both have to be tight. Also like all of these waist packs, the bottle holders are too short, but at least this has straps that can hold in the bottles.

But otherwise it is well designed and holds a lot, the main pouch has multiple zippered compartments.

I purchased this fanny pack because of the many pockets and the pockets for drinks. It is very thick and sturdy. It has a place for my wallet, checkbook, and phoneunfortunely I personally get lost in all of these pockets.

I had a stroke,so I only have the use of one hand, and I use a wheelchair. This pack is quality made, it’s just too cumbersome for my particular situation. I think it would be best used for hiking.

I was looking for something that would hold my phone, keys, water bottle, and garden pruners. Got three out of the four. The zippered case is made of very thin material, so it would not stand up to a pair of sharp pruners and it’s not long enough for that purpose.

The little outside pocket is too shallow and loose to hold anything and therefore useless. Disappointed it only came in black.

the drawstring came apart the very first time i touched it. in order to get the wasitband to fit a 42″ waist, the buckles that allow for it to be adjusted must be removed. would not reccomend this for anyone over 40″ waist.

otherwise, it was just fine. i wore it through three grueling days at theme parks with the kids and it survived. i carried a small camera, mini tripod, hand wipes and sunglasses easily in the pocket and a water bottle in the pouch.

The description says this comes with a shoulder strap. This is not meant to be worn over the shoulder, or cross body. This is a fanny pack. The pack itself is very nice. The pouch was nicely sized for treats, keys, wallet, etc.

It holds a 20oz water bottle nicely. I’m going to have to find a way to extend the strap to wear cross body style because wearing it around the waist will interfere with riding attractions at Disneyland.

I’m not a runner, but a traveler. My travel buddy and I bought this for a trip to the MIddle East. (Fingers-crossed). It’s light weight and comfortable. (I’ve been wearing it for errands just to get the feel.

) The bottle does not fall out if you lean over. We wished the pouch part was a bit bigger. I can fit my phone, a pack of tissues and my passport (without any RFID cover) in, but not much else.

I am super satisfied with this belt. Perfect for crosscountry skiing and fatbike. The belt can be easily adjusted around the waist or around a winter jacket. There is a pocket for snacks as well. I was not bothered by the belt despite carrying a full water bottle while skiing and using a fatbike.

This is perfect for my needs. The strap is big enough to hold the bag in place. The size is just right to fit my birding book and the drink bottle is the right size and stays securely in place.

I bought two, one for me and one for my mother. We started walking and had to carry our water, cell, id, in our hands or pockets (if we had them). We love that we don’t have to carry anything in our hands or pockets, the water bottle that comes with it is great, it keeps our cold water cold.

This pack is very large! I love it! My other ones were small and I always wished they would hold just a little more. This one fits nicely, I do not notice it while wearing it and it allows me to be hands free.

I recommend it to anyone else who would like one.

I was looking for a soft leather fanny pack that is a different color from my husband’s black one, and this brown one worked for me. It has enough room in the large compartment for most of the items I want to carry with me during the day, and the front pockets cover the items to which I need faster access.

It is a little less deep than my husband’s pack, but he paid $10 more for his. Try not to overfill the main compartment or you may have to re-glue a small portion of the leather, like I do, that can peel away from the edge under pressure.

So far so good. The last ones I bought all three of them the zippers broke on them. Hoping these are a much better quality. Fast shipping.

Very nice pouch, has water bottle net but its for a big bottle so I sewed up the bottom for small bottle. it has 3 large zipp. Compartments which are what I need. Phone spot too. Its real leather so strong.

Has double zippers so if one breaks the other will take over. Good price too. Fast delivery.

Soft leather feel, sturdy, body strap is wide enough for comfort around your waist, roomy pouches, mesh bottle bag zips out of sight when not in use. My only complaint is that at the bottom of the mesh bottle bag, there is just one strap instead of mesh to keep the bottle from falling through.

I actually did lose a bottle of water this way riding the Everest coaster in Disney world while wearing this pouch. This will only be a problem with a small water bottle or a lot of movement to cause the strap to slide to the side.

If the bag were fully mesh, I would give this item 5 stars.

This is a nice hip bag that’s what I’ve gotten so far leather for $19.99 it was worth every penny I use it because I am in a wheelchair and it holds everything I need to carry

We just received our waist packs and haven’t been able to use it. However, we feel that it will be an asset to our walks/hikes. I have a travel waist pack but it does not have a holder for water bottles and my husband has a pack this is for water but it is old and doesn’t hold the water bottle that good anymore.

The ordering process and shipping process were all great.

I disagree with the other review saying that it’s too small to be functional. I removed both water bottles from the side mesh pockets and easily fitted them inside the main compartment. It still has room for your phone, park map, car keys, phone, and etc.

I bought this as a gift bc I had another fanny pack of the same brand (found at a discount store by chance) for 20yrs and still works as well as new so I think highly of this brand and intentionally searched on the web for it.

I’ve had a High Sierra waist pack for almost 8 years and have loved it, but the zippers are starting to finally give out. Thought this was the same bag, but not at all! The measurements given here include the two water bottles.

The actual bag between the water bottles is only 6″ across the opening and 7″ tall! I am used to being able to carry a small camera and sketchbook with me when I hike, in addition to regular stuff and this doesn’t have anywhere near the capacity I thought I was getting.

Hopefully I can return it, as it is useless for me.
