The quality is good for the price. Easy assembly, but there one single design default that you should heed. When the chair reclines you cannot lock it in place. Why? For people who sit in front a computer 6/8 hours per day it makes a real difference.

I bought this chair more than five years ago and am very pleased with the chair’s performance. During the last two years, I have used the chair almost every day for more than six to eight hours working on a family history project.

This chair is comfortable, has good back support, and fits my 5-foot 5-inch frame perfectly. In the last six months the chair’s leather has started to crack and wear so I needed to replace this chair with another white chair to match my decor.

I was very happy to see that Office Depot still carried this chair.

Love the chair, was pretty easy to put together. believe it or not. Two handicap senior sisters with bum hands put this chair together. Took awhile but we did it and it looks great. One major problem.

the wheels don’t work. They don’t roll, they drag and that’s not good on my new hardwood floors. At first I thought it was my weight 200 lbs. but even with no one sitting in the chair the wheels still drag but more so with a body in it.

I will be contacting staples and see if they could send a better set of wheels. These are very cheap ones. I bought another chair a few months ago for less than half the price of this one and those wheels fly !.

Great chair! The directions are pictures only, don’t worry it’s easy. I did it myself. Very comfortable and the seat height is adjustable. The only reason I deducted a star is because the white leather of the chair and the white metal (bottom of the chair) are no where near the same white.

Other than that this is a great chair.

I love everything about this chair but it needs just a tad more lumbar support. If you could adjust that it would be perfect. I have a spinal injury so my lower back is a mess. I’ve been searching for a reasonably priced desk chair that would offer lumbar support without the need for an added lumbar pillow that pushes me out if the chair.

I’m not 100% sold on this chair yet and may return it. But I think it would be a great chair for anyone that doesn’t have to deal so much with lower back issues.

I bought this chair for my husband now that he’s working from home. This chair does not handle daily use – and my husband is not rough on his furniture by any means. We’ve had the same couch from NFM for six years, white, and it’s still in pristine condition – for just $50 more than what we paid for this chair which is already borderline useless.

The plastic is extremely cheap and prone to cracking. The underside cracked within two months of having it but didn’t affect use. Then, today, the arm broke off and is totally unfixable. The screw covers constantly pop off as well.

Strongly do not recommend this product.

Love this chair! It is very comfortable and soft. It looks great as well! It is also the perfect height for my desk and can go up and down. It also rocks. It was not too bad to assemble except the bottom metal piece wouldn’t aligned.

I had to get someone to push the back piece forcefully for the holes to align. But it worked.

I was fairly pleased with this purchase for my home office, however, I live in So. Ca. where it’s frequently warm. The Faux Leather sticks to my legs which I’m not happy about. My last chair was fabric (lesson learned, unfortunately).

It’s nice looking but be aware it is “faux” leather and looks faux. Also, since the handles do not raise up/down make sure you have enough desk clearance underneath your desk once you adjust your seat height! It was easy to put together (even for a woman!) but I can’t figure out why they have you put the handles on before the seat back.

It was really hard to turn the seat with the handles assembled in order to put the back on. Fortunately, I’m fairly strong and found a table to be able to lift it up onto to put the back on. I would recommend if you do not live in a warm climate (although it may get cold in the winter, we’ll see).

Wish I would have spent the extra for a fabric chair.

This product arrived quickly and was easy to put together. I really like the appearance of the chair and the bonded leather upholstery is easy to keep clean. I like that the height of the arms is adjustable and they can arms swing up so I can take a break from work and play the guitar.

I also like the height and tilt functions of the chair. My only criticism of the chair is that the position of the seat seams to angle downward slightly. I would prefer that the seat be level.

I recently starting working from home full time and needed a sturdy chair that would be comfortable for an entire 8 hour work day. I am pleased with this chair thus far. It is padded well and seems to be made with good quality materials.

It is also attractive and looks very professional. I do have two complaints – 1. The chair was somewhat difficult to assemble. The instructions were easy enough, but the chair is fairly heavy and trying to put it together alone was a challenge.

I would recommend having someone help when putting it together 2. The piece that is intended to cover up the area where the seat of the chair fits into the wheel carriage was broken. It doesn’t impact how the chair is used, but I was slightly disappointed since this was a more expensive chair.

Its got all the bells and whistles and is quite comfortable with plenty of adjustments to suit anybody. The seat is plush and I love the headrest. It rolls perfectly fine on my Berber rug and I have actually gotten comfortable enough to fall asleep in the chair.

Would highly recommend. I did a lot of searching and when it comes down to it, if you can’t go to the store to try it out, get the chair that fits everyone. Hbada is a solid brand.

I absolutely love this chair. I tend to sit cross-legged in my chairs, and this is wide enough for me to do so without my thighs pressing up against the arms (even if they didn’t have the ability to fold back).

The seat is extremely comfortable, there’s no annoying squeaking when I tilt, and I can comfortably lean back with a laptop in my lap or sit forward for the desktop. 10/10.

Doesn’t seem like leather, more on the vinyl side. I’ve ordered another office chair from Zulily before about 2 plus years ago had no issues with quality. This one not so. I see why it’s a cannot be returned item.

I’m a teacher working from home, so I sit in front of a computer for hours on end. Bought this to replace a hard desk chair. So far, very pleased. it’s comfortable with a padded seat and arms, has back support, and swivels/rolls easily.

It was delivered from the supplier in a ripped box, and with part of the base damaged as a result. However, I contacted the supplier and they sent a replacement part quickly. Overall, it gets a thumbs up!.

The build quality of this unit seems like it will hold up for awhile. Unfortunately the seat barely has any padding and has become very uncomfortable after less than 2 month of use. I was hoping that this being Serta brand the padding would be decent but even the armrest and back padding feel thin and unsupportive.

My back is not forgiving me for this purchase. 3 stars for appearance / durability. 1 star for comfort = 2 stars.

I’ve tried a few chairs and ended up keeping this one. I like the higher back, padded arms, and the tilt feature is very nice to have. I just find that it gets uncomfortable after a couple of hours and I keep shifting in the seat to try to get comfortable which doesn’t happen.

You could probably do better but I think any chair will get uncomfortable eventually – even after a couple hours. So I recommend this one. It is well padded and is a medium sized chair – not too huge, and I got it on sale.

The chair is a good firm chair -cushiony, but not too soft. , just supportive enough! An issue I have with it is , at first, anyway , we found ourselves scooting forward too much when typing , at the desk, and unable to remain resting on the back.

Eventually, we were working from the front edge of the seat. , minus the back support. There is a control to keep it from rocking, which helps. After that -once reminding ourselves to scoot the chair closer to the desk, and move the keyboard closer, and sitting Up to the desk in a better , upright position, the chair can work well and is a good choice ! I also love the larger size of the chair-anything less, and I would always feel like I was going to fall over backward with chairs on a frame like this one, and on wheels.

L’autre raison c’est que le repose pied téléscopîque qui n’a vraiment pas l’air solide, maintenu seulement par une barre en acier ou autre matière dans le genre, j’ai peur que ça cède sous le poid par la suite.

Sinon la chaise est très confortable, le coussin dorsale est un peu raid mais je pense que c’est le temps qu’il s’adapte et que nous aussi. Je conseil ce produit les yeux fermé, pour ce prix je pense que vu la bête ça vaut le coup.

Dernier bons points : on ce sent pas à l’étroit dans la chaise et les acoudoirs maintenu à 2 endroits et flexible en même temps qu’on change le dossier de position c’est vraiment bien pensé pour leurs durée de vie mais également pour permettre de rendre plus confortable ceux-ci.

Les roues sont bien elle roule sur tout type de support et sans être dérangé ce qui les rend agréable et les poignées ont l’air solide et permettant de pouvoir mieux choisir le réglage. En peu de temps j’ai pû faire bien des tests pour rédiger cet avis :).

Malgré ce défaut le confort de l’assise serait acceptable si le système de fixation des coussins de l’appuie-tête et du soutien lombaire n’était pas aussi mal conçu. Les attaches en bande élastiquée n’arrêtent pas de glisser; il faut sans cesse réajuster la position des coussins, ce qui finit par agacer.

Personnellement j’ai préféré les enlever me privant ainsi de l’un des principaux avantages d’une telle chaise. Au final c’est pour cette dernière raison que je ne donne que deux étoiles.

Being over weight is very expensive when it comes to comfort. To get a quality office type chair that can stay up under my weight for this price is lucky find. Years ago DXL had a catalog called Living Large.

And as expected the furniture items were expensive. If I recall correctly you would need to pay over $400 for a high back chair like this. It is well padded, has adjustments for back pressure, height, and how much you want to lean back.

Plus the arms fold up so it slides under my desk when not in use. I was looking for a while and was getting ready to pay almost $300 to get one until I came across this one. With the extra warrantee it’s still a great bargain.

The chair is HUGE. And that’s a good thing. It’ super comfy and roomy for “smaller” people. The support for back and butt and everything between is great. The arms looked stiff, almost hard in the photos but they’re sturdy, not hard.

It feels like it can take a beating while being really comfortable, I can see this lasting for a long time. And if your a “bigger” person it will seat you comfortably. Easy to put together but it is big so it takes a little effort.

First off, this chair might be for the big but it isn’t for the tall. My knees feel the strain every day. What I wanted was a chair that would allow the front of my thighs to rest comfortably on the chair.

What I got instead was a chair that I had to bend my legs under because of how short it is. It is just about as short as the other standard office chair I replaced this with. Also, do not buy this chair if you care at all about your footwear.

I bought a pair of Redwing boots and they were ruined in just one day. The sharp edges on the casters will absolutely SHRED through leather. The heels of my boots have deep slices of unrepairable damage.

Also, it is adjustable in seat height and chair back give and that’s it. The mesh back is nice, I guess but one redeeming quality does not make up for a boatload of disappointment.

Very sturdy with solid construction. My previous HERCULES Series 400 lb Capacity Big and Tall chair lasted 4 years using it 8 to 10 hours daily. Ample padding and plenty of lumbar support. Arm rest positioning is extra sturdy.

It’s not connected to anything plastic. All weight is directly on the chair. Utilitarian is an apt description of it’s appearance. Zero glamor. This is the best value in a reliable, well constructed big and tall chair, IMO.

I highly recommend this Swivel Chair. It’s name describes this chair to the letter. I’ve purchased my chair about five years and it’s still holding strong. It’s lasted longer than any other chairs I bought in the past.

I love this chair so much that I have it in my wish list incase this chair starts to fall apart so that I can buy the same one I have right now, but (knock on wood) it hasn’t and I hope it last another five plus years.

I can honestly say this chair is worth every penny. although I have to admit I don’t recall how much I spent on it. The only issue I have with this chair at this moment is the leather on the right arm has been nibbled on by my Yorkie when he wants to get my attention and I don’t give it to him.

other than that it’s still in perfect condition. In the five plus years my weight has fluctuated between 215 to 168. and I’m 5’7″. Hope this is helpful when making the choice of purchasing this chair.

Solid, sturdy chair. Lives up to it’s claim of being able to support heavy people comfortably for hours at a time. Assembly was straight forward and easy to understand for me and I’m certainly not a handyman.

Parts and hardware clearly labeled. Chair is heavy so if you’re not comfortable dealing with that individually arrange help in advance of assembly. Personally, this is the best chair I’ve used that’s designed for heavy people.

Design matches the purpose. I would definitely recommend it.

This chair is not for you if you want a wide seat space. 22″ is not wide. The arms are barely tall enough to reach my elbows and I’m 5’9″. The arms are also don’t extend forward enough to rest your elbows on when typing, making this virtually useless as an actual office chair unless you like having shoulder carriage strain from your arms hanging all day.

The chair does not recline. It says it does, but you have to physically continually push the chair back to keep it reclined making that a non-feature. The chair actively tries to lean forward due to design.

The seat back is narrow. There isn’t much of anything I like about this chair. If my old one didn’t leave you looking at the ceiling when you sit in it I would just drag it back in here and use that.

This is equivalent to buying one of those uncomfortable task chairs that everyone hates.

I’ve had this chair for a month. This chair makes noise. Whenever I lean back or getup/sit down the chair makes alot of noise. I think that no matter what chair you buy, whether it’s $100+ or $1000, they are bound to make noise eventually.

It’s comfortable. It’s also not bad for the money, as you can easily spend $1000+ on an office chair. You may need assistance putting this chair together as the back and the seat are only connected via the nylon arms.

One side is somewhat easy to attach, but when attaching the other side you may need someone to hold the back and side in place as you attach and screw in the bolts. I bought the slipstick castors for this chair as they are guaranteed not to mark wood floors, but the castors make noise when you move the chair while seated.

I don’t know about the castors that came with the chair, as I never attached them. The chair goes up/down and will lean back as advertised. The adjustment lever on the right side controls up/down and locking/unlocking the lean-back function.

If you sit all the way back in the chair, you can feel some lumbar support, but anyone with lower back issues may want to add additional support. The arms can be raised or lowered to your preference You cant give a partial star so I telling you in my review 3.

I bought this chair after spending a few hours over multiple days sitting in chairs at various office stores. I thought it was comfortable, supportive, and not bulky/ugly. It went on sale so I purchased it even though the price still seemed high.

I went home with the box I bought in-store, and when I opened it and began unwrapping and assembling the pieces I noticed the entire outside is plastic (I didn’t think that much about it in the store).

This would be mostly fine (although it looks cheap) because the actual frame under the plastic coverings is steel. HOWEVER. Right out of the box multiple pieces of the chair had cracked and broken plastic casing parts.

The pieces I did begin to assemble before noticing the cracks on other parts were also difficult to put together because there is careless craftsmanship, and one wheel wouldn’t even go all the way into the base because the ball joint was welded so messy.

I also then read more reviews and came across all the ones where people have said nails have started stabbing them through the arm cushions just a couple months into owning this chair. I decided this horribly and cheaply built chair was not worth this kind of money, and returned it.

Grossly overpriced for what it is.

One of the legs on our old office chair broke recently and dumped my husband on the floor. Off we went to Office Depot to buy a new chair. We were looking for a comfortable high-back chair with padded arms at a reasonable price.

After trying out all the chairs on display at the front of the store, a sales person took us to the back of the store to look at more chairs. When we sat in this chair, we immediately knew it was the one we wanted.

It was very comfortable, with a well-padded adjustable seat and back, nicely padded arm rests, and a slightly dropped front to the seat that made it even more comfortable by not pressing into the back of our legs like most of the other chairs we tried.

It was also on sale, and the sales person was able to give us an additional discount because the black color was being discontinued for that model. When we got the chair home we found it to roll silently on its 5 sturdy rollers and fit into the somewhat limited space in our tiny office.

We LOVE settling down on our new chair while working on the computer for a few hours. This chair is an excellent product, and came with a free limited time warranty.

This is my second Verismo and I’ve been generally happy with my purchases. The positives: 1) The chair looks terrific! Love the simulated metal accents and the overall design. 2) I find the chair very comfortable, provided it’s for short periods of time.

3) The height of the back is perfect for the best posture and comfort. The cons: 1) Assembly was somewhat problematic as there were a couple of screws that were not easy to secure. Also, the screw covers don’t fit perfectly, although with some work I was able to get them flush.

2) The simulated leather does scuff easily when brushed up against a desk. 3) The wheels are not smooth, especially on my glass chair pad. It was an easy fix as I simply replaced them with after market wheels for less than $20.

4) As comfortable as the chair is for short stretches, the cushioning does give some after long stretches. Fortunately it does bounce back. All in all, I’m pleased and would recommend.

I wanted so badly a chair like this within my budget and extremley comfortable. I can strech my back and feel so good. I wanted two months to write this review to make sure I was still loving it. I have Fibromyalgia and this chair is worth every penny.

Upon first arrival the chair seemed great. The other reviews saying it’s hard to put together by yourself are only partially right. It was easy enough to do. Only part that was slightly difficult was attaching the back to the bottom.

The screws did not want to work with me. You’ll definitely want an open space to put it together, however. The chair was super comfortable for the first few weeks, but the cushion quickly deflated. That could be my fault, however, because I am on the bigger side and use this chair all day four/five days a week.

If you plan on using your desk chair a lot and want it to stay comfortable, this isn’t the one for you. Another issue I ran into is with the screws on the side becoming loose. It could be user error, but I’ve had to tighten them twice in the four(ish) months I’ve had it.

If you plan on getting this chair I would recommend getting a separate cushion to go with it. Overall it’s a pretty chair to add to your office, but it’s just alright.

VERY cheap/thin carboard shipping box. how could it survive delivery unscathed?. Mine didn’t survive. The star base was scratched up. The chair frame is finished with silver spray paint that chips easily on cheap black plastic.

I initially just wanted the shipping damaged part replaced. I threw out box. I assembled the chair waiting for replacement part. realized chair was junk after one day. the fabric is thin plastic and feels like it could tear easily.

The foam is super low grade with no support my back was killing me. The side screws stripped out after one sit ( I am 165 lbs). Return attempts took a month with impossible CHANGING demands from vendor! The chair does not come apart at the base once it is snapped together (They sent me a replacement base.

it was worthless cuz the parts don’t separate. I even take the base to my contractor son in law. No luck. Vendor chides me for not keeping the original box as it would have been easier refund. Seriously? I wanted to keep the chair when I got it and live in an apartment.

Why would I save box. I dumpster dive in a shopping center to find big enough box. I ask for directions to disassemble. No response. Finally the tell me to donate and get receipt. I donate and send receipt they say sorry no refund without product return.

I freak out and go back to charity to find chair and haul it back. I reach out to customer service. No help. I am told to find another box so all the parts fit inside and give measurements of shipping box.

I burst into tears and regroup. I call back and ask for supervisor. Kevin “gets it” and I’m issued a refund in less than 24 hours. I get another snarky email from vendor ( see attached photo). I cant believe Houzz allows this vendor to tarnish their good name!!!!!!.

You can not put this chair toether by yourself. It took 3 people in my house. Some of the screws were melted togther and when seperated it distroyed the treads i had to go buy screws. I also injured my back trying to get the seat attached to the back.

Probably operatir error but ive never put any piece of furniture together that gave me such a diffucult time and trust i have done plenty with no injuries. I ended up spending more than i wanted to and should have just got the chair i really wanted instead.

Also the opening on the headrest area had a slight blue color stain that ill be stuck woth for the life kf the chair. Nothing will get it out.

I now work from home and spend the majority of my day in front of a computer. Needless to say, after a while, my back starts to hurt and my legs start to go numb. I tried two other chairs before I purchased this one and even though it says it’s a gaming chair, it has worked wonderfully as my computer work chair as well.

The most amazing aspect of this chair is the lumber support with vibration. When I feel my back getting sore, I just turned that on for a few minutes and I feel the pain subside. I am very impressed with all the features of this chair and I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a comfortable work chair.

The chair is comfortable but the seat could be a little larger. I always use the vibrating lumbar pillow to support and massage my lower back.

DONT BELIEVE THIS CHAIR IS EASY TO ASSEMBLE. One of the reasons I bought this chair was because of a serious spinal injury that I have and I am single. I needed an excellent chair with support though for working on my PC.

After 2 years with this chair, ***Do not buy this chair***, one of the most uncomfortable chairs, has minimum or almost none lumbar back support, wheels get stuck and do not move easily, very heavy chair.

the pillow padding is made of foam and very soft. the level push/pull is very hard to reach in the bottom for the back rest, it is very uncomfortable. the only thing good, the material seems to be resistant to wear.

very expensive and not worth the money, I paid $400 and now it is $279, still not worth it. spend it somewhere else.

This a great buy! Super easy to assemble with minimum parts. even a video if you hate paper instructions. The assembly tool was designed to not hurt your hand and will be saved for other assembly jobs.

We replaced a name brand, more expensive chair and this one had more features such as recline, foot and serious cushion. My son is a gamer and practicality slept in my desk chair for a week straight.

He absolutely loved it. Worth every cent.

This is a pretty standard office chair with a lumbar pillow on a strap. The leg rest did work pretty well, though it is held in place by two tiny rubber gaskets around the attached poles that shredded after the first few times I opened it.

Without them it slides right off the chair when extended. Overall I’m not especially impressed with this chair, but have yet to find one with a leg rest that seems to be any better quality. You can find a more comfy and attractive office chair in the same price range.

After reading the other reviews and some of the issues people have had, the rest of this wordy review might help some. I bought it because of all the research I did on good office chairs for larger men.

I kept reading that lumbar support is one of the hallmarks of a good office chair. So, I bought this chair because of the great reviews and lumbar support. The lumbar support was awkward at first. It kept pushing me forward.

I told myself that maybe I’ve never had good lumbar support and don’t know what it feels like. I chalked it up to just being something new I need to get used to. After probably a year of fighting it, I finally got fed up.

The lumbar support was never going to get better. Since the chair was way beyond any return warranty. My DIY instinct took over. I looked at the chair to see what I can do. The solution was super easy.

I just removed the lumbar support. Since I put the chair together, it was easy to take it apart and reassembled it without the lumbar pad. As I recollect, I just removed the lumbar pad—the bracket which held the pad was still needed to reassemble the chair.

The only concern I had, was the bracket sticks up a little between the back and the seat. But I’ve been using the chair for years and have never felt it, and it’s never been an issue. That was the ticket to making this the best office chair I’ve ever had.

I know I bought the wrong chair. I listened too much to reviews without fully understanding what they were actually talking about. Apparently, I didn’t need that much lumbar support. But, I didn’t know, and it was a learning experience.

Luckily it wasn’t a total waste of money since it was easily fixable. I say, remove the lumbar support if it’s bugging you.

And it probably would be if not for the so-called lumbar support cushion. Because of that cushion I can’t sit far enough back in the seat to be in a comfortable position. The lumbar cushion is hard and unyielding and pushes me forward to the extent I can’t even rest my back against the chair! I’m bracing myself not slide off and I’m getting horrible cramps in my thighs and lower back.

The only reason I haven’t returned it is because it’s already assembled and I can’t get it out of my house and into the car. I certainly expected better from Serta!.

This was easy enough to put together. The chair is comfortable and my son is happy with it, but a seam in the headrest area is unraveled and I didn’t notice it until after we put it together. It seems like a lot of work to return something to a store.

especially since there isn’t one nearby and I know I’m not getting this thing back in the box. It’s unfortunate to pay a decent amount and have a product that’s already showing evidence of wear. As far as the color goes, the leather is a bright white with a blue undertone.

It’s a noticeable contrast to the other furniture in the room and a much cooler tone than expected. All in all, it will work. If I had a Walmart within 20-30 minutes of my house, it would already be there by now.
