Monoprice Cat5e and Cat6 cables are made of 100 Percent pure bare copper wire, as opposed to copper clad aluminum (Cca) wire, and are therefore fully compliant with UL Code 444 and National Electrical Code Tia-568-C.
2 fire and safety standards, which require pure bare copper wire in Cat5e and Cat6 communications cables.
Ran this cable from our cable modem router upstairs, along the ceiling, through a couple of walls (using Monoprice wall plate thingies to make it look nice), and down to my desk in my study. Being able to plug my laptop directly into the router, 3 doors away, makes all the difference.
So much faster and more stable than WiFi, and it frees up WiFi bandwidth for other things in the house. I have never had a problem live-streaming since getting a direct cable connection. It?s a good cable! ?so I bought two more, in different colors, to connect the mesh routers downstairs to the mesh base upstairs! No confusion about which is which, no labels needed.
And the mesh WiFi is even better with Ethernet connections between the routers.
This Cat 6 Ethernet cable is of good quality and rated for “in wall”, installation. I used it to run a permanent wire in the ceiling to a media room. It feeds an Home Essentials Direct Fire Stick 4K and works well.
The tabs on the plug are strong and covered under rubber boots. In my case, where I do not plug and unplug the cable with use, that works out great as I never have to worry about the cable coming loose.
Unplugging it can be a bit of a challenge going “bare hands”. The trick is to use a small flat screw driver that enables you to fully push in the locking tab to release the plug; I think it is the rubber boot that covers the release tab that limits how far in you can push the tab making it seem impossible to unplug.
If you have a need to frequently unplug the Ethernet cable then perhaps you may want to consider a different cable to avoid potential frustration; perhaps a cable without the rubber boot or one with a softer rubber boot.
If you are using it for a more permanent setup where you do not unplug it after installing then this is a great value and it works well. Giving 5 stars for permanent use application which is my experience.
For frequent unplug need, I would rate it 4 stars because of the rubber boot on the plug making it difficult to unplug; use of a small flat screw driver does help.
Every cat6a Ethernet bulk cable adapts for 10 Gigabit Ethernet applications up to 750MHz and highlights pure bare copper wire, cmr rated, visible remaining cable length markings, Po – E, Po – E+ and Po – E++ compatibility and Fluke Cable – Analyzer tested, ensuing for top-rated performance and security.

Also, with its superior connector you get a cable that is built for speed and endurance. Monoprice Cat5e and Cat6 cables are made of 24 AWG pure bare copper wire, as opposed to copper clad aluminum (CCA) wire, and are therefore fully compliant with UL Code 444 and National Electrical Code TIA-568-C.
2 fire and safety standards, which require pure bare copper wire in Cat5e and Cat6 communications cables.
Not a professional installer but have installed many components requiring Cat5e. This is the first time buying this type cable from monoprice. I cannot tell the difference between this and any other similar cable I have installed before.
Product seems to be of good quality and cannot beat the price. I will never buy this type of cable anywhere else and not sure why anyone else would. Again, im just your average consumer but un my opinion, you just can’t beat the quality st the price point.
Highly recommend. Only downside was the slow shipping but that could be blamed on the covid pandemic.

My wifi could not reliably support multiple computers and the throughput was slow. So, I upgraded my router to Gigabit capability and realized that a standard modem-to-router cable was not going to give me top performance, so I bought this one (Cat 6).
Now I have excellent wifi on multiple devices. This high-performance cable is part of the solution. 5-stars.
With conversion from a workplace to working from home, it became necessary to re-arrange my home office space. I did my best to estimate how far a new cable would have to go to reach from my router to any position on my new desk area.
The 50 foot cable is perfect! My only wish was that it could have been in a different color. All our household current cables are blue or gray/white and I would have loved one in black or even red!.
The Ativa Cat 6 Network Cable is what I needed to plug into my Router. It was perfect because I needed a very long one to reach, and 14 feet works great. The only negative comment about this cable is the color.
I wish it was black because all other cables, and electrical cords are black in my computer room. This blue cable stands out like a sore thumb, but it is efficient and gets the job done!.

This 50 foot long ethernet port is being used to connect to a router in my room at my college apartment. So the ideal thing for a poor college student to do would be to string an ethernet cord out of the room where the original router is, around my door frame, around the perimeter of the room, and to my router (yeah a bit ghetto I know, but hey, it’s college! haha).
🙂 I’ve got to say, I was very excited that I found a 50 foot cable for only $8, but was a bit concerned that the quality would be poor because of the price, but I decided to take a gamble. I was surprised though, and very pleased.
The cable connectors have a sleeve that protects the plastic tab that locks the cord into the port; this way it won’t snap off when you pull the cord bundle out of a box of cords or something like that.
For me, that is essential because I have a lot of computer cords. Quality. I would give the quality a 4 out of 5 stars, because it does feel a bit cheap, but it does seem like it is going to be durable enough for what I am using it for.
Also, because it was only $8, I would say that the manufacture went above and beyond to create a cable that has a decent quality for the price. To wrap it up, I will list some pros and cons. Pros: -Excellent price for the quality -Works just as wellas any other ethernet cable -Comes with a sleeve that prevents the plastic locking tab from breaking Cons -The cord feels a bit cheap, but for the price this isn’t an issue.
So far, so good. SO LONG. I didn’t realize how long 100 feet would be. I live in a 1300 sq ft home and I could have gone with 50 feet. Oh well. Live and learn. Works like a champ and provides plenty of speed.
I set this up because the hubby was tired of waiting hours for COD updates to download. Now, he waits mere minutes. All I did was hook it up to my router and BAM! He’s back to plundering and yelling “I’m down, I’m down” over and over again.
Cat 6 Ethernet cables deliver the most consistent Internet experience. These LAN cables are very flexible and can be “woven around” door frames with ease. The outer coating is durable and doesn’t crack.
I’m very pleased. Please check out the company CMPLE. They are local to their area and have great pricing for Internet [network] accessories.
Protect your high-speed network from noise and electromagnetic interference with this shielded Tripp Lite N125-007-gy Molded Gigabit Cat-6 Patch Cable in gray. It features two shielded RJ-45 50-micron gold molded male connectors with integral strain relief.
The 7′ patch cable is manufactured from PVC, four-pair, stranded shielded twisted wire and is rated for 550MHz/1Gbps communication. Because it is long, you have enough length to run it around corners and behind furniture to avoid creating an unsightly tripping hazard.
This gray cord can be paired with others of its kind in different colors to make organization and differentiation easy.
They don’t have hoods, just a couple of protrusions on the moulded plug either side of the clip. I should have paid more attention to the image. Stiff cable more like station cabling, but they will do the job.
Got this to span the outer edge of my office and then swing around the back of my desk. No other cable I had was long enough to reach but this one is perfect. Connections snap nicely into place. Color is bright and the wire is thick and well made.

Do you know how hard it is to find a cheap long ethernet cable man was it hard but luckily office depot got our back. Sure it’s not Cat 6 but for a 2m cable at this price, it’s unbeatable. I wish the delivery was a little quicker but other than that the cable works efforts to bring me gigabit ethernet to my new computer.
Greetings, I purchased several of these pre-made cables to replace my aging cat-5e in my office. I have found them to be very well made, and every diagnostic I have run on them backs up the claim they are a quality cable.
Being a Systems Administrator, I would usually prefer to purchase a “box of cable” over pre-made any day of the week. But the lengths offered were perfect for my application, and the price was definitely an improvement over a few hundred bucks for quality Cat-6.
In fact, I decided to purchase a few extras, “just in case” some had issues. And now I have that many extras. Just be double sure you take good measurements of your own to confirm you buy the correct cable length.
Its always good to go over a few feet. And always tie the cables to something every meter or so to take the tension off the wire to prevent future issues. Long story made short: Take it from a SysAdmin, These are good quality Ethernet cables.
The Rosewill Cat 6 network cable offers a reliable Ethernet connection. It is designed to handle high bandwidth intensive application, and drastically reduces both impedance and structural return loss (SRL) as compared to standard 100 MHz wire to ensure error-free transmission.
The durable black jacket easily color-codes your cable runs while providing rugged flexibility for network connection. To ensure long lasting performance, the cable features a strain relief to prevent the RJ45 connector from bending at sharp angle, and a snag less design to protect the RJ45 clip from snags during installation.
Purchased this cable for a temporary solution for my old but once very capable router’s wifi burning out. I was prepared to remove the snagless feature prior to ordering as most are usually incredibly annoying when it’s time to remove the cable.
This cable, though, gave me no problems and removes from ports with ease! Also, manages to be quite durable and rigid. Someone got this right for once. The cable is thick and sturdy but will conform in a short time to whatever shape or route you need.
This is easily worth much more than what I purchased it. I will be ordering several more at different lengths to replace some older ones with broken clips and for new additions to my network. Rosewill won this one!.
I needed a longer cable to reach a PC in another room, until I run a LAN into my wall. I use an HTPC for Cable Card HDTV service with an HDHomeRun Prime. I just moved and need a cable to run, until I get a LAN network installed into the walls.
It lays out nice acroos the floor, and seems well made, so I don’t have to wrooy about the ocassional step on ruining my connectivity. My signal is showing just as well as when I was using a 6′ LAN cable.
So if you need a longer cable, this is a good choice. NewEgg likes when we use awesome in our reviews, so. AWESOME! It’s a cable, screaming out such emotion seems. well it’s a cable. But, I’d have to say.
no loss of signal, easy layout across the floor and I’m not worries about the ocassional foot stepping on it. Awesome. I’ve only had it now for a week. so I can’t tell you a thousand step ons and it still like new.
but, i feel it will last the few hindred foot steps until I get my LAN run. If it’s out of the way. years of use.
