Works as advertised, and added a lot of speed for my son’s PS4, as opposed to the wifi connection. It is very flexible as compared with typical round cable, which made installing it even easier. Connectors seem to be a good quality.

Ran this cable from our cable modem router upstairs, along the ceiling, through a couple of walls (using Monoprice wall plate thingies to make it look nice), and down to my desk in my study. Being able to plug my laptop directly into the router, 3 doors away, makes all the difference.

So much faster and more stable than WiFi, and it frees up WiFi bandwidth for other things in the house. I have never had a problem live-streaming since getting a direct cable connection. It?s a good cable! ?so I bought two more, in different colors, to connect the mesh routers downstairs to the mesh base upstairs! No confusion about which is which, no labels needed.

And the mesh WiFi is even better with Ethernet connections between the routers.

This Cat 6 Ethernet cable is of good quality and rated for “in wall”, installation. I used it to run a permanent wire in the ceiling to a media room. It feeds an Home Essentials Direct Fire Stick 4K and works well.

The tabs on the plug are strong and covered under rubber boots. In my case, where I do not plug and unplug the cable with use, that works out great as I never have to worry about the cable coming loose.

Unplugging it can be a bit of a challenge going “bare hands”. The trick is to use a small flat screw driver that enables you to fully push in the locking tab to release the plug; I think it is the rubber boot that covers the release tab that limits how far in you can push the tab making it seem impossible to unplug.

If you have a need to frequently unplug the Ethernet cable then perhaps you may want to consider a different cable to avoid potential frustration; perhaps a cable without the rubber boot or one with a softer rubber boot.

If you are using it for a more permanent setup where you do not unplug it after installing then this is a great value and it works well. Giving 5 stars for permanent use application which is my experience.

For frequent unplug need, I would rate it 4 stars because of the rubber boot on the plug making it difficult to unplug; use of a small flat screw driver does help.

My daughter just built a gaming pc and did not want to worry about wifi being a performance bottleneck. Problem was that the nearest router with ethernet was in an adjacent office on a far wall. Hence the need for a long cable.

The purple color was the cheapest option at 100ft and matches well against our blue carpet. I had to run this along seven walls and up over one doorway, so I ended up using almost all of the length. Works perfect, looks great, and the price was right.

I’m wiring a new office, and I ordered 50 7′ patch cords because I’m under somewhat of a time crunch to complete this project. So I ordered GearIT’s patch cords. The products arrived in 5 large bags containing 10 green fairly tightly coiled, wire tied patch cords.

When I installed the patch cords, I attempted to pulled the patch cord straight; well fairly straight. there was still a bit of coil to them; but I figured gravity would work it’s magic and over time the rest of the coil would work itself out.

It was the weekend, and the air conditioning was off and the office temperature was hovering under 80 degrees F. As the night turned into morning, and the workday is approaching, the air conditioning was doing it’s job and cooling the office to a chilly 68 degrees F.

Much to my surprise and disbelief, the patch cords were slowly attempting to recoil to their shipped position. Not only is this irritating that I can’t seem to get the coiled state out of the wire; but it makes the wiring job look like it was done by a hack.

What the He#@! Why you might ask?Well it’s the type of outside shielding is made up of some soft of plastic or combination of plastics that are extremely susceptible to ambient temperatures. If I wasn’t under a time crunch, I’d return the product.

GearIT take a lesson from QVS’s patch cord shielding material. Their patch cords don’t retain their coiled state, AT ALL. This is a personal issue, but I’m not a fan of the RJ45 protectors being molded into the shielding.

Over the years, I’ve rn into instances where the protective jacket interferes with the ability to securely plug the cable into the hardware. Being molded into the external insulation, the RJ45 protector can’t be slipped back.

I received this in good condition with no signs of damage. The cable and RJ45 connections were in good order with no visible flaws and showed no signs of rushed or sloppy assembly. The 3 foot length was perfect for my application as I wanted the shorter length to cut down on the tangle of wires I had.

The cable worked flawlessly upon plugging into my network. For testing I used it connect one of my PC’s at 1000mbps to my router. prior to connection I ran a test on the cable to ensure all eight lines were patent and no crossover or shorts existed using a basic cable analyzer.

No abnormalities were found on any of the eight lines. Connecting to the network, the link was solid with windows reporting the connection at 1000mbps. The RJ-45 plugs inserted cleanly and locked firmly into place.

Releasing the plugs was made very easy as the locking tang released cleanly with no hanging. It’s a good and solid cable and has remained in use since receipt. I received this product at a discounted price or for free in exchange for an unbiased and honest review.

I have purchased over 500 of these cables in the last few months and only had one cable that was bad. It was missing an end. The rest of them are working perfectly for everything from 10GB Ethernet in my server racks to 1GB PoE in my IP phone racks.

I have Cisco and Mitel phones running on these. I have Unifi cameras and WAPs running also. No issues yet. And my wiring looks fantastic. These things make dense 48 port 1U switches so much easier to use.

You can also cut down your wire management from 2U to 1U saving you valuable rack space! I also like how flexible these are. For how little they cost, I am working on replacing every patch cable in my closets with these.

I have also been putting them on the desktop side also. Users like the flexible cords on their desk phones.

Easy to snake, extremely reliable performance thus far. Perfect for home application where most runs are less than 100ft (guarantees future 10gb performance). No regrets with this purchase whatsoever.

The internal plastic divider needs to be cut off before you terminate, but the slightly more rigid cable is again easier to route through walls, floors, and ceilings.

After a few months having this cable, I’ve come to learn this is not great quality wire. Does it work? Yes. Is it worth buying fake copper cat6 cable? no. If you are in the business of high speed data transfer, stick with the real stuff.

I made a cable of 45 feet and it would not transfer data even though the continuity test was good. I thought maybe I did the plugs wrong, so I made three ends times on it and it still would not work

Electronic Geek here! I’ve used hundreds of cables at this point. And can say with certainty that not all cables are constructed equal. The first thing I should point out is the one-piece design from the cable to the connecter.

This makes for a stronger cable and connection. It will last longer because there’s nothing that can become frayed or snap altogether. A quality ethernet cable makes all the difference in constant connection.

Just from the design of this one, I know it will last a long time.

I reviewed the 50′ Cat 6 Ethernet Cable and it seems to be a good product with one flaw. This cat 6 cable has the perfect length at 50′, which I can go all throughout my apartment. I love the jack covers that protect the punch down, But I’m leery about the plastic punch down retainer clips that always seems to fail on all other cables like this.

Time will tell if it holds up to plugging ang unplugging. Phillips makes great electrical products so this cable should perform well.

the 100 feet of Cat 6 cable was twice as long as needed. I returned the 100 foot cable. I exchanged the 100 foot for half the length 50 foot cable. The price was the same. This was odd for half the length to be the same price as the 100 foot cable.

Cable works fine for application.

Cable is good quality, I have not seen any problems with the product itself. Price per foot is very high on this item. The product was well stocked and readily available where I went to buy it, which is not the case for competitors in that area which is a plus.

Bought to test “wired” connection of camera without having to unmount it. But will have to unmount as camera is not replying. Suspect camera failed, but might be cable issue.

I’m sure these are fine as CAT-7 patch cables. As for Gerald P’s review, and its follow up, I would guess that yes, he is cutting them in half to make audio jumpers/adapters for the Radio Systems/Angry Audio StudioHub system that is used by thousands of radio stations these days for both analog, and AES digital audio.

It is cheaper to buy pre-made CAT jumper cables, cut them off, and solder on whatever connectors you need, than it is to purchase pre-made balanced audio cables that go from CAT-5 to XLR, or CAT-5 to 1/4″ TRS, or many of the other terminations used in broadcasting.

It is slightly disheartening to cut open a pre-made cable, and find that it has 4 pairs of wires, and all of them are white. I have found this more than once. For more information, search the web for “StudioHub wiring Standard”.

Nice patch cables. Solid termination and the boot is a cool add-on although not needed. The variety of lengths and colors is the big plus when organizing a data rack! Very pleased

These Cat 7 cables are solid built and are good for 50 or 100ft runs as needed. Sturdy cable and solid RJ45 ends. I highly recommend Cat 7 vs Cat 6 and especially Cat5e. Right now Cat 6 can do the job of carrying UHD 4K and HDR+ signals but for a little more money run Cat 7 and future proof for Gig internet and home networks.

I bought these cables to run from a cable modem bringing in a 60mbs internet connection to an ASUS router and off to several rooms including my theater room equipment. Watching UHD movies via internet via VUDU and Amazon is smooth with no lag.

Pros: Great bit of kit. Less than 5% difference to download speed from plugging computer directly into the router, despite 2 adapters being on opposite sides of house. Don’t have to sacrifice a socket Cons: To get max speeds needs a higher quality ethernet cable (6 series or higher).

Would be good if those cables came as standard with the product (comes supplied with 2 basic cables). however the higher quality cables are relatively cheap to buy separately.

Ethernet cables have writing on the sleeve, giving tech specs about the cable. Sometimes it is very richly colored, sometimes it is not. I had a need to expose a white cable, & searched for one that had faintly-visible writing on the sleeve.

(I couldn’t do a ‘extra slim’ cable at 50′, & certainly didn’t want flat) The ad pictures showed this to be the best contender. I received it today, and YES it is. The spec writing on the sleeve is very faint, thank you! Yes the cable design is fine & speeds are great.

Pros: I’m upgrading to gigabit ethernet in the home so they are drop in replacements for cat5 cables. Seem to do the job, but this is domestic, so I’ve not done proper testing. I’ve successfully used Starlink brand cables before, and have had no nasty surprises in the month I have used these cables.

Cons: Seem OK, I’ve not tested, nothing bad so far (30 days).

As per title: good quality. Ideal boot type, not one of the shrouded latch covers that are so hard to press to release. My only negative is the cable stiffness. Used on small devices they can tug them around.

I’ve had to use cable ties at times only because of that. I’m kinda picky about these things (as I use a LOT of cables of all types). These are close to but not THE perfect patch cable for all uses due to the stiffness.

I bought this, because something on my computer went crazy. I use the internet daily, but didn’t feel like putting my computer in the shop for a week or two, while I waited for a part to come in. I had a 5 foot cable, which wasn’t quiet long enough.

I thought the 10 foot cord would do the trick. But now, I’m thinking about buying the 25 foot cord, so I can run the wire along the top of the ceiling, so I will not have to worry about tripping over it.

The 25 foot cord would reach a lot farther that what the 10 foot cord does.

The difference of quality between this brand and the others I think is night and day. The cable is durable, firm and seems like it can withstand some bends and bumps. I used to replace my 50 foot cat5e cable I had for my router with 1GB data speeds because the connection into the router would frequently get loose.

This new cord snapped in and is firmly in there. My old cord felt flimsier and cheaply made, so I know the wires inside were most likely compromised in the bends of the cable. I did a speed test and the data download and upload speeds have been higher and much more constant with this cable.

It’s also under $10 bucks. You can’t beat it. Happy with this cable.

I use this to connect my router to the wall jack, and run this cable along the wall using cable clips, and it’s like the cable isn’t even there! The flatness really makes the cable look like it’s a part of the wall and gets perfectly flush with the wall.

It is great for aesthetics and there is no issue with electrical interference. I’m very happy with this purchase.

I bought this to run inconspicuously in my living room, up and around some very old white moulding, and behind my TV to a port switch. It works well. It’s nearly invisible, which was the goal. My only complaint is that the ties used to hold the cable together in the package left permanent kinks in the cable that can be seen in a couple of places along the run, making the cable more noticeable in those spots.

This 50 foot long ethernet port is being used to connect to a router in my room at my college apartment. So the ideal thing for a poor college student to do would be to string an ethernet cord out of the room where the original router is, around my door frame, around the perimeter of the room, and to my router (yeah a bit ghetto I know, but hey, it’s college! haha).

🙂 I’ve got to say, I was very excited that I found a 50 foot cable for only $8, but was a bit concerned that the quality would be poor because of the price, but I decided to take a gamble. I was surprised though, and very pleased.

The cable connectors have a sleeve that protects the plastic tab that locks the cord into the port; this way it won’t snap off when you pull the cord bundle out of a box of cords or something like that.

For me, that is essential because I have a lot of computer cords. Quality. I would give the quality a 4 out of 5 stars, because it does feel a bit cheap, but it does seem like it is going to be durable enough for what I am using it for.

Also, because it was only $8, I would say that the manufacture went above and beyond to create a cable that has a decent quality for the price. To wrap it up, I will list some pros and cons. Pros: -Excellent price for the quality -Works just as wellas any other ethernet cable -Comes with a sleeve that prevents the plastic locking tab from breaking Cons -The cord feels a bit cheap, but for the price this isn’t an issue.

I have to give this Networking cable 5 stars. I applied the cable to my Modem and it connected right into it with no issues. So the cable is connected from my Modem to my laptop computer and there is absolutely no internet connection issues as well.

I am able to go to a website and it uploads faster than being connected to my Wi-fi. One of the most amazing things about this cable is the length of the cord it’s 75 ft so it can be long enough to reach across my living room and also my kitchen if I needed to have it connected and needed to move my computer to another room.

This is a great cable to have on hand! The cable length is sufficiently long to reach all the places you need to connect your devices to. The connector is well built and appears to be very sturdy and flexible at the same time.

The color is standard black, which is the way I like cables. The connectors are well molded and soldered to the cable and it connects well to my devices. The connections from using this cable are well in-place and so far the performance has been seamless.

I would recommend this CAT6 cable.

I am looking forward to cataloguing my DVDs and saving so much space on my bookshelves but I was disappointed that the company would not deliver to the UK. Thankfully I have friends in Germany who helped send the five units on to me – at more cost to me.

The units are well made and I think will do their job brilliantly but they are not cheap and perhaps multiple orders might qualify for a small discount? To keep the movies in alphabetical order I already have a Microsoft Access file with all of my titles listed but accommodating new purchases in the units will need some ingenuity and shuffling of the discs but until a company comes up with a Bluetooth system that synchs with software like Access I will just have to live with it!.

The HP Jornada 520 is a good little tool. It has the basic Word programs (limited) and it has an Ok amount of programs out there for it (but not much memory). It is kind of outdated, but it is very resistant.

I would say go with a more current PPC, some websites can’t be viewed on this because of the old, outdated win CE internet explorer. I like the Jornada series PPC’s because all hardware is compatible with other Jornada models.

Great solid reliable mouse. The only one I use, along with the microsoft intellimouse. I have several as backups as I won’t use anything else. Feels nice in the hand and good response time and sensitivity.

Great for gaming and usual desktop use.

Works good. What else could I say? 🙂 It’s a standard UTP cable, does its work. I have 300 Mbit internet at home, it takes the maximum speed as expected. Color is nice.

The cord was fine. No problems at all. I bought this in the store for $70. When the request for the review came by email, the price was adjusted to $40. Needless to say the store did credit me back the other $30.

The take away from this is to check the STAPLES website for a lower price before heading to the register. They will ‘price match’ themselves. I only gave it 4 stars since I feel like I was almost taken advantage of by originally paying 75% more than I should have paid to start.

I had an existing CAT5 cable and was replacing it with this CAT6 cable. I wasn’t 100% positive that it was the same as what I had and what I needed, but I was feeling somewhat confident and as far as I could tell it was just another internet cable.

When I tried plugging it in it wouldn’t fit into the receptacle and I was really starting to get angry about it and very upset that the cable wouldn’t work as expected. Then I realized that I had plugged it in upside down.

Don’t be a dummy like me- plug it in the right way, and it works great.

When my work computer began having WiFi connectivity issues I needed a quick solution while IT investigated the problem. I work from home and have both a home WiFi network and wiring for Ethernet throughout the house.

The fastest workaround while the problem was being diagnosed was getting an extra Ethernet cable and establishing a hard connection to my home network. Even having IT send me one of their cables would have taken a day and in this case, the cable is mine and I can always use it later after the WiFI problem is fixed.

I looked at various Cat-5 and Cat-6 cables online in local stores and found this cable was cheaper than others of the same length and also available for free next-day home delivery from the store. Since I ordered it late in the day and couldn’t get to the store in time for one-hour pickup, I ordered it for delivery.

The cable is exactly what I needed and expected—it’s well made, connects securely, and also made of plastic that is not stiff. It was tightly coiled in the box, but the soft plastic was easy to flatten out and with no kinks or twists.

I bought this cable specifically for the cat6 and the grounding wire for the shield. I plan to run some of this underground (in conduit) and wanted the ground wire so I could ground it through an ethernet surge protector.

So far I’ve made about 10 runs and all have come out great. This wire is thick, I didn’t realize how much of a difference the slightly thicker gauge wire would be but this stuff bends and holds its shape, it’s nothing like the thinner cat5 cable.

From what I’ve seen, all wires appear to be genuine solid copper which is why I spent the extra money on name brand wire, I am going to be making some long runs and want to ensure I get the best signal.

Overall, very happy with this cable, except that I had to buy purple as it was the only option in 1000ft at the time, it’s growing on me though.

This is a great option for wiring an entire house with CAT6. If your house is single-story, 1000ft should be plenty (unless each location has 4 or more cables). Although 500ft is cheaper, this 1000ft is worth the extra money and lasts longer.

The item I purchased is has a nice dark blue color with no writing, except for the foot marks. I was able to wire my whole house with 8 ports in the living room, 8 in my room, and 4 in the 2 small bedrooms, giving me total of 20 lines.

Only reason I give 4 stars is because of the availability (frequently out of stock), false advertising on the box (CAT6E instead of CAT6), and amount of curl it has when pulling the cable. I know CAT6 with spine is stiffer than CAT5E, but it’s pretty hard to keep the cables neat without zip ties.

Not all cables are created equally, but in general, one vendor’s bare copper bulk cable is approximately comparable to any other vendor’s bulk cable. What usually makes our buying decision– all else being equal– is price.

Monoprice had a very good deal on this 1000 ft. spool. Just that simple. Price drew us here years ago, and the combination of good prices and good products keeps us coming back.

I was setting ups some gear and needed direct connection over a distance that was longer than most cable. Best Buy offered up the item on line and it was noted that it was at my local store. I ordered it then 3 hours later went and picked it up.

Thus, the entire transaction for this cable went without a hitch. The cable itself comes in a drab plastic type of bag. This is no frills as they likely know those who order it wont care for inviting packaging.

I would like to give this cable 4. 5 stars but it only allows whole numbers. I would have given this cable 5 stars if the rj45 connectors on the end were of a higher caliber. Overall the cable does its job and the speed of transmission is reflected by its cat 6 designation.

The difference is substantial for consoles and PC. I thought the use of LAN/Ethernet was over exaggerated but it was all true. I went from 200mbps to 500mbps, which resulted in incredibly faster download speeds and streaming.

If you often play games online, please get yourself one of these. Wired connection is much more reliable than wireless and reduces latency. You’ll notice the difference immediately.

I installed this cable two days ago. First day went relatively ok, but i did not use the pc much so the cord could have had issues. I just didn’t notice. On the second day, I noticed regular drops in connection with the cord.

I checked my other cords with the same ports and vice versa. The cord routinely drops the connection. I would suggest a higher quality cord.
