20 Best Car Seat Wet Vacuum Cleaner (2023 Updated)

First off, I love that this comes with a carrying case. It’s the perfect size and it fits everything nicely, and not too tight. So far the battery has kept its charge well and it’s fairly simple to clean.

This works perfect for in between the hearth stones my wood burner sits on. those have always been such a pain and this makes is super simple! Also scrubbed the rail for my sliding glass door and used this to soak up the grungy water afterwards, it worked ok for that.

Overall not a bad product, just wished it has a bit more suction power.

I love how easy it is to use. The battery slides on effortlessly and the on/off button isn’t hard to push. It cleans up large sized messes with ease but struggles with smaller sized crumbs. The suction just isn’t strong enough to get all the fine pieces.

The vacuum comes with a few different attachments to use depending on the mess. I love that it comes with a carry bag to keep everything contained.

I really like this vacuum. I desperately needed too clean the floor of my car. I haven’t for sometime because cords are always getting in the way. It’s fustrating. This vacuum is light weight, cordless and actually holds a decent amount, before having too empty.

I was impressed. I would definitely recommend this product.

This unit is fine as a general purpose wet/dry vac to pick up dirt etc. As a shop vac which you might use in a reno project it is to me a very poor design. The wheels stick out 4 inches at each corner because of the high centre of gravity; as a result the power cord gets repeatedly tangled, it is wide and difficult to move through doorways without dinging the casings.

All the attachments are friction fit instead of twist fit, as a result either the wand falls apart as you vacuum or the vacuum head falls off, repeatedly believe me. The attachments are held in a poorly designed bag and inevitably fall out as you move the thing around.

The hose has a cheap rotational attachment to the vacuum unit and hence rotates poorly or not at all and turns into a curly queue You then have to stop what you are doing, twist it back into shape before resuming what you were doing.

It is loud and the “muffler” sold by Home Depot muffles absolutely nothing. If you want a general purpose vac this can be it as the price is decent. But as a reno/ work project vac you will quickly come to immensely hate it.

You are definitely getting what you are paying for, but a better design would have been a much better idea by Ridgid. It will definitely never win a design award.

I upgraded from a very old Husky wet/dry vac to the Ridgid WD1451 and I am very pleased with this upgrade. The Ridgid is much quieter, more powerful and the extra hoses and nozzels for vehicle cleaning are very useful.

The casters were stiff to install, but that just means they wont fall out. A rubber mallet made short work of their installation. One nozzle, the claw, is poorly made and does not fit well as mentioned in some of the reviews.

This nozzle is so useful that it will most likely meet the recyling bin. All the rest of the hoses and nozzled are great, so the claw does not minimize my review – but it was a waste of space in the box.

QUALITY & DURABILITY: This is by far the most durable plastic vacuum I’ve ever owned. BAGS: Too expensive and they always rip. None of the universal bags seem to fit properly. They should offer a HEPPA bag or one that’s not all paper.

HOSES: The hose extensions are not intuitive and do not connect well. Just buy the 20ft and be done with it. ATTACHMENTS: The attachments can jam on so hard that i have to use a hammer to take them off For pieces of plastic, the after market attachments seem to be ridiculously expensive so I usually don’t buy them.

Love everything about it. The suction is more than you need to detail a truck. It’s bad to the bone. It came with ever attachment you could need. Very high quality. Great Christmas present idea! I can think of dozens of things I will do in the house that I couldn’t do before.

I purchased this vacuum primarily for cleaning my cars, we have two cars and a truck. The vacuum has a nice long hose which will reach the front seats and the backseats without pulling or changing position of the vacuum.

It has more to enough power to pull dust and dirt from under the seats and the floor mats are no problem whatsoever. I take out the floor mats wash them and blow them off by changing the hose from vacuum to blower.

In my opinion it’s worth the extra too have a vacuum that is not cumbersome or big and bulky to lug around to clean a car, plus the extra power I do not have to go over and over the carpet or seats to get the results I like.

I have a woodshop also, the vacuum is easy to carry around, can blow sawdust or foreign objects from my projects and cleanup is quicker because of its power. It can not replace a 12 gallon wet and dry if that’s what you need.

It seems to be well made and I expect it to give me years of use.

Absolutely recommended! I normally don’t bother writing reviews because I think sometimes you just have to try a product for yourself, but in this case I have to give kudos to the manufacturer. I’ve had a love/hate relationship with many vacuums over the years, but so far, it’s only love with this machine! I’ve never had a vacuum that actually cleans my car so well.

All the other reviewers are spot on about the suction power. It picks up EVERYTHING. The multiple attachment are an added bonus. I utilized all of them while cleaning my car, and was very impressed with it’s ability to clean in all of the hard to reach places under the seats.

I have not had this vacuum long, so I cannot attest to the long-term durability of it, but fingers crossed it continues performing as well as it has so far. If you need a vacuum that does what it actually is supposed to do, this is the one to purchase!.

My wife wanted a miniature shop vac and found this one online. She read reviews and did her research. She liked what she read and bought one. She absolutely loves it. It is her opinion that even if you don’t think you need one, you’re wrong.

It was originally bought to vacuum our large couches, she has used it on so many things I lost count. Since it’s so portable, it gets carried from room to room to suction dust various areas and vacuum behind areas that are hard to reach.

My wife states that it is the perfect size for so many cleaning projects that my full size shop vac is “too big and bulky to drag around. ” She’s 100% satisfied.

Had this vac for 3 years and use it more than my expensive upright. When I first opened the box and took it out I thought it was the cheapest thing I ever bought but to my surprise it’s a tough little guy.

It’s incredibly light weight and that’s why I choose to use it over others. The fact that it’s a dry/wet vac is a plus. It’s easy to bring outside to vacuum the car and porch too. It’s not a heavy duty vac so consider what you need it for before purchasing.

It may be a little more work to empty because it’s a canister and not a bag. I’ve washed the filter bag and the inside of the canister with out a problem. One thing to be aware of is when it tips over the unit shuts off and you have to turn it off and on again to resume.

I will purchase another should this one fail one day. For someone who has lifting issues like myself it is great.

It seemed to be working fairly well, but over time, maybe a year and a half now, the suction power is minimal and it’s not working like a shop vac should be working. I’m not sure why it lost its suction power.

I was using it correctly and only for dry debris. I emptied it and cleaned the dirt collection pouch, and it still fails to properly suck up dry debris without me having to crouch down really low to the ground, making the whole 3 extension tubes virtually useless.

I’m going to research and see what can be done about this loss of suction power, because it if were not for that issue, I would have rated this product higher.

I was searching for something to help clean up after the dog, easy to handle for wet/dry situations. It was easy enough to put together and seems to work great. I have used it for much more then I had intended.

I find myself reaching for it instead of my regular vacuum since it has proven versatile and powerful. Easy to switch from wet to dry. Target delivered it right away which was very convenient. Nice hardworking machine.

Bonus is no bags to fool with.

I’m sorry I didn’t expect too much from this tiny little shop vac. I was wrong to underestimate how much I would be using this on a daily basis! The wall mount is not too space consuming, the attachments are all stored neatly and easy to interchange the filter from wet to dry.

I’m vacuuming my car every day, goodbye dog hair and beach sand and miscellaneous French fry! I’m driving around like a woman who has her stuff together and it’s not just a valuable tool for cleaning the car! I use it to clean up after my kids and pets (sometimes me) inside the house daily.

I’m using the dusting attachment on the AC, and before making my bed if I see dog hair I can suck it right up. It’s a game changer. I store it in the bedroom closet, wall mounted but it’s so easy to grab and go out to the car with.

The only suggestion for improvement would be the cord isn’t retractable, it has to be wound manually and secured with Velcro strip after each use to maintain tidy appearances, if the cord was retractable I would also suggest a longer cord, as I have had to use an extension cord to reach further than the current cord allows.

All in all the positive is far outweighing the negative.

I am absolutely in love with this thing. If you have pets, or just a hard time cleaning in general- this helps SO MUCH. It picks up hair and litter no problem. Ive used it to clean my carpets and deep clean my couch.

It really is a life saver. I never realized how filthy things can get. The only downside is that it is so lightweight and not on wheels so it is easily knocked over. And when you knock it over you need to shut it off and open it and close it for it to work again.

It is also pretty loud but hey, for a powerful vacuum I expect it to be a bit noisy. It comes with all of the attachments you would ever need. I can’t wait to try it in my car!.

If you are looking for a small shop vacuum, this is the one to get. I have had this since Nov. 2020 and it has been awesome. It’s big enough to handle any job you might have and small enough for storage and to carrying around.

I was deciding between this one and the Hyper Tough 1. 5gal and so happy I got this one. Since it’s advertised for “car cleaning” it came with little attachments that can squeeze into small tight spots.

The first time I used the attachments was to vacuum my fridge coils, the little attachments were awesome. I’ve used this vacuum for everything in my garage, saw dust, sand, dirt etc. Can not recommend enough if you are looking for a small vacuum that doesn’t break the bank and take up tons of space.

Also, it comes with a wall mount which is kinda cool but i don’t use it since I move it around so much I just have it under my work bench.

Okay so we love the shop vac because of the fact they have great suction, can be used to soak up water, Or I can use it to blow our deck of any debris and since we have a big house with 8 active teenagers , and 2 dogs theres always some part of our house we are doing some type of repair or deep cleaning and I always use my shop vac.

but after 6years my shop vac broke and so my other half seen how miserable i was he went and brought me another. Except he saw this mini sized one and figured that would work because then i dont have to be lugging the big one around.

BIG MISTAKE! this mini or 2. 5 gallon one is such a dissappointment! first of all the suction sucks i find my self going back and sweeping or using my other vacuum to vacuum over. It smells like its burnt, and I cant even blow an ant off my deck with this! for $40 bucks i couldve just brought me the regular one and i would have been very satisfied! sad to say we brought this in july.

So, how do i use the warranty and is it possible to get the regular one?.

The hose on this thing won’t stay on. Theres NOTHING in the manual that explains in detail how to lock it in and i have looked it over extensively but cannot find a way. You attach it, twist it, push it, nothing works.

Within a few minutes of using it the hose inevitably falls out leading to extreme angry frustration. There look to be little notches that catch but i have tried and they do nothing. I had a cheap $10 wet vac before this that lasted me about 10 years w/o a problem.

No more craftsman products for me. This thing is junk, and to make matters worse it’s impossible to talk to anyone in the company that actually knows the products.

I work in residential property maintenance and I bought this to use for small water spills that tend to occur. It works great for that, and is easy to carry around because of the small size. One unforeseen benefit of this item is the small hose, relative to other wet dry vacs, is great for blowing clear a clogged drain line.

I had a clogged condensate line on a furnace, and I set the vac up to blow and put it over the drain on the furnace side of the line. I was able to blow the blockage out very quickly because the hose is roughly the same size as the drain pipe.

I did the same thing with a washing machine drain that was running slow. I put the hose over the hole and used my hand to create a seal around the top of the drain and blew the blockage out of the way, and then flushed the drain with water.

It worked perfectly and I did not have to use any chemicals or a drain snake. This item is very versatile if you think outside of the box for other ways to take advantage of the features.

This is a great little compact shop vac for the car. It’s easy to plug in and use in my smaller sized Chevy Malibu. The cord length is good. I thought the suction power was great! It’s a wonderful auto vacuum to have as a mom with three kids.

My youngest boys are always losing pieces of food in the car and this makes for a quick and efficient clean up. I love that it also works so well on wet messes. Happy to have found this product and own it.

Holy Cow! What a little suction machine! This little sucker is powerful! I purchased it to keep all the sawdust from getting all over the house (I don’t have a workshop or room- just a work corner). My little house vacuum hose barely sucks anything up.

However, I seriously don’t have the space for a large shop vac so the compact size of this is so great yet it performs as strongly as the large sizes. I was expecting less but got more!.

This is a powerful little vacuum. When I first ordered it I didn’t have that much of an expectation when it came to it because it was so small. But I’m happy I did order it. I have children so they have a habit of using my car as a trashcan.

So this little vacuum will definitely come in handy. It picked up everything that I needed it to pick up. The suction on this little vacuum is awesome. Definitely a timesaver and money saver.

This vacuum is much quieter (even before the muffler) than my old vacuum. Latches are simple and secure. Quickly and easily change filters. Dust is completely contained in the canister-no leakage. The 4 accessory holders on top of each foot keep tools handy.

The 20 foot electrical cord is a BIG plus as I no longer need an extension. The cord storage keeps the it neatly stored and allows having just the right length available. Latches on accessories are a plus.

Suction is sufficient, even when adding a cyclone separator between the vacuum and a tool. I am looking forward to trying the removable blower. The 60l canister seems smaller than my old one, perhaps just an illusion or perhaps the volume is measured differently (allowing for filter volume).

Woodworkers will appreciate this VERY well designed vacuum. It addressed all of the shortfalls of my previous vacuum.

Bought this a few years back for the purpose to help out during power washing kitchen floors for steak’n’shake. It made clean much easier. The little hose hook up pump made it even smoother. After year of that it has cleared out flooded floor drains, unclog toilets that snake just couldn’t get saving me from having to lift a toilet.

You could say “this shop vac will suck the **** out of anything”. With the use of a shop bag and the proper filter for the job it will suck up drywall dust to rags others leave behind without needing to dust off anything afterwards.

Throughout my years of using it it has the same suction now as it did on day one. That’s without having to take it apart one cleaning it’s guts out to maintain its suction. I only recommend this vac as others would of been tossed and replaced by now.

Wow, bought on sale and only by chance as the home owner version was sold out and this came up last a sale item. It replaced a very similar vacuum that needed parts and was well used and there’s no comparison on power.

The Ridgid professional model is so much better suction but it pushes the circuit it’s plugged into close to the tripping point so I have to endure everything else is turned off. The included accessories are a bonus that is had to pay extra for in the cheaper version and worth getting.

This is my 4th Ridgid vacuum and I’ve used them for everything you can imagine and still going strong! Worth every penny over other brands vs friends and family who bought other premium units that have quite.

I am very satisfied with this product. It works well. It’s easy to empty and it has very good suction. The extending attachment is very useful and the pet hair brush works well. A decent product, for a change, worth the money.

I have two small longer haired shedders. I have hair everywhere. On furniture on the carpet on the floors etc. I cannot believe how amazing this works! And how easy it is to use. I highly recommend it!!.

I bought this because my dog sheds so much. I only have the use of one side and this is lightweight enough for me to handle. It has great suction and is very easy to clean. I love it.

I looked at different shop vacs online from different hardware stores. Quite a few of them did not have the attachment pieces like the fine dust filter, filter for picking up water, etc. The Rigid shop vacs from Home Depot were the only ones that had all the filters needed and/or parts that you could add on.

I am hoping they will always have them. Plus the added bonus of calling Rigid customer service for advice is golden as far as I am concerned. One stop shopping for everything is much more attractive to your customers than looking high and low everywhere for filters and parts.

It produces heat very inconsistently. Some days it is warm enough to be effective but there are times when very little heat is produced. There does not appear to be any reason for this. I have had one before for several years before it packed up but I thought that it was good value but this is brand new and poor value.

I have a chronic back condition which heat helps enormously so this product is very disappointing.

I bought this to be the sole vacuum to be used in my summer sports car. It had great value and we have another Ridgid vac that works great. I am returning this as the hose that comes with it does NOT extend, it’s flexible but if you pull it to extend it snaps back, or in my case it pulled the vacuum towards me and hit my car! I think the hose should be longer or have more elasticity.

I’m going to return it and buy a different hose for our existing Ridgid vac that will only be used in the car.

Pretty good, but not without some relatively minor flaws. Battery life is respectable, very powerful for its size. Presumably because of how low the filter housing sits in the dust canister, it clogs up beyond use long before you are anywhere close to collecting anything significant in the dust canister.

The first few times I went to vacuum saw dust, I could hear the filter getting clogged, opened the canister and it was almost entirely empty, not even a small layer of material. However I shook out the filter into the dust canister and left quite a size-able pile.

I understand this unit was meant for small cleanup jobs, not heavy duty, but I can help but think a small diverter installed at the inlet tube, or around the lower half of the filter itself would help this issue significantly.

I will continue to use this vacuum, but it could have been a leap above the rest if this small issue was addressed.

I’ve owned this since it was first available and have used it a lot. It’s a pretty good vacuum with enough power to get most jobs done quickly and thoroughly. I have only used it with the 6Ah batteries and the run time with those is decent – generally around 15 to 20 minutes on high although the suction is reduced as the battery depletes.

If you use it smartly and/or can use low setting to do the job you can get much longer run times. Often I’ll use low for the bulk and switch to high for hard to reach spots or debris that sticks to the surface a little.

If you can run in shorter bursts where the battery can rest and cool a little you’ll get even longer run times. Don’t let it run continuously like you would with electric if you need longer time. The biggest disadvantage that almost had me considering returning the unit is that it WILL NOT accept standard 1-1/4 shop vac attachments! C’mon Milwaukee!! The end fitting on the hose is just slightly too large to do this so you’re pretty much stuck with the couple of items Milwaukee offers.

Durability of the attachments is pretty poor as well – my crevice tool already shows a lot of rounding and wear on it. That said, they work well and the hose is nice although you will never see the four feet or whatever unless you have a helper holding the vacuum while you stretch the hose to its max.

Attaching and detaching is easy for the hose as well as the filter and the tank – gasket seals well. Using it as a blower is pretty weak but does work for some things. If you leave out the wider nozzle you can fit a spare or a detached battery in that space with the lid closed.

Does fairly well getting grinding dust and drill shavings up, even out of carpet if you work it right, just fine on any wood chips or dust. Great for vehicle cleanup as well, alternating between low and high as needed – I can get front and back thoroughly spotless in a small SUV with one 6Ah battery, two if there is a lot of small grass bits or I need to do the cargo area as well.

I think if you need more run time or more suction, just get the M18 version instead, or go electric. This would be a great tool to see a larger M12 battery on, if Milwaukee ever introduced one and if it would still fit in the housing.

I did have a few instances where the vacuum cut off quickly on high as others have noted, but turning off-on or pulling and reinserting the battery cured that. Weird problem and likely within the unit because the batteries I’ve used with the vacuum have been lightly used or brand new so I know it’s not them.

Overall a good buy. Find the filters on special buys around the holidays at big box stores when you can.

Right out of the box, I became immediately impressed with the fit and finish of my new m12 Fuel vacuum. It looks great, has a very eye pleasing fit and finish. First trial for our m12 vacuume came with a complete bathroom demo.

Unit had much greater suction performance than we required on the high setting, so we were able to use the low setting. Debris didnt stand a chance, and the Vac did everything we needed. Battery change and adding accessories could not be much easier.

A quick flip of the latches to open up the unit top, and a battery swap takes a few moments. The smaller the Ah battery, the more often you will be swapping. M12 Vacuume has a low noise output, and was easily tolerable with no ear protection.

I was able to instruct my six year old daughter on its usage, and she has since adopted the unit from my collection.

I purchased the 20 gallon wet/dry vacuum with the 6. 5 peak for my shop expecting a high quality Craftsman product. No so! First, no screws were included in the packaging to mount the handle or hose retainers.

I immediately called customer support only to be told that my product support people don’t work on the weekend so I should call back on Monday!!! The person on the phone could not help me. Not much of a help line if you have a job M-F.

I ended up using my own screws to assemble it. Otherwise assembly was simple except the casters wouldn’t “snap in” as per the instructions. I had to hit them in with a mallet which is a little unnerving when the parts are made from plastic.

The motor housing lid does not fit snugly to the base. When you lift the vacuum by the handle, the motor housing separates from the base. The 20 foot cord is nice except the cord retention feature on the handle is designed to accept a 10 ft cord.

The 20 foot cord won’t all fit and annoyingly falls off. The vacuum hose is very stiff plastic. It requires you to “fight” with it while using it. It has a strong memory to the shape it took on in the packaging.

The only reason I gave it a 2 start rating as opposed to a 1 star is because I like the 20 gallon size it on 1st use, it does have pretty good power and suction.

Bought this about 6 months ago to replace my larger 16 gallon Craftsman that finally died after about 10 years of home use. Material quality looks to be dramatically reduced and several of the “nice-to have” features have been removed.

The good, suction is good so far, no problem picking up sanding of joint compound from drywall, sawdust, wood shavings and general garage and household messes. The bad, the electrical prong is misaligned, so it needs to be bent slightly to actually enter the outlet.

The power cord is much too short, at 6′, now I need to run an extension cord every time, unlike with the previous 16 gallon vac which had a 12 or 15′ cord. The wheel castors are cheap and wobbly, especially compared to the previous vac.

Craftsman also removed the tool holder capability from the top of the castors, which was perfect, they’ve add a small, flimsy “tray” which has 4 cutouts, of which, only 2 cutouts are large enough to hold anything, so that’s pretty much useless.

No storage of the hose onboard, which isn’t a deal breaker, but less than ideal. I don’t have a decibel meter, but Vac sounds louder than the 16 gallon one, my wife came downstairs the first time I used it and asked what was happening because the noise was more than previously.

Last noticeable difference, the plastic is only 3/4 or 1/2 as thick as previously and thus, less rigid than the prior model. I still have the old attachments and the tank and the 16 gallon plastic is resilient and difficult to deform.

I can easily deform the thinner plastic, so very concerned on how well it will hold up long-term. Glad I kept my old attachments, so I can use those. though I’ll need to build my own storage solution.

Very disappointed in Craftsman and their reduction of quality and features, my family has trusted them for generations, but when this vac breaks slim to no chance a Craftsman will be replacing it.

We were excited to find this one on sale, it had much higher horsepower than a smaller one used for years. Since we ordered it online as a Christmas gift for ourselves, we were not aware of how tight or well it went together, & did mot get a chance to use it right away within the 1st 30 days, as 30 days ended before Christmas! 1) It is HUGE, much, much bigger than a larger-capacity one we have of a different brand.

Make sure you have a very large storage place if you buy this one. It is much bigger around than it is tall. 2) Regretfully, when trying to use it, as much dog hair/dirt/soot (still in places from the huge fire near us last summer) blew OUT of it as going in, the two times we tried it-& it didn’t work for the garage any better than our dirty house.

No matter how things were put together, it still has a very large output of whatever dirt you are trying to put in it, blowing all over so it makes it harder to clean afterwards than if you’d just left it or swept it up.

We have not figured out yet, other than a good amount of Duct Tape, how to attach another hose to where the debris pours out, but hope to find something to use soon. This does not work well as a wet/dry yet, I hope I can change my rating after we jerry-rig it to work better.

I really wanted to love this vacuum. I constantly need to clean my car because, well, I’m a bit of a slob. Plus I have a toddler. This just doesn’t pick up as well as I want it to. It picks up big crumbs, but doesn’t have enough suction to pick up bigger items or the tiny tiny ones.

Positives is it is nice and small an easy to get setup. This is definitely more for like my father who keeps a spotless car unless the grandkids get in.

This auto vac has saved me money for sure. Now I can vaccum my vehicle without going to the carwash and wasting quarters. I drive a Yukon and it reaches from the front plug in all the way to the back with no issues so that alone is awesome.

Works like a regular vaccum. Plus it into your car plug and do what you need to do. And it’s small enough to easily store and put away.

I’ve tried DeWalt Rigid , ShopVac. The only thing ,I would highly recommend ordering the V20 6ah battery. I use this vacuum every day for drywall dust , sawdust and everything that comes along. With the 6ah battery it lasts me throughout the day without draining the battery.

The DeWalt vac lasted literally 3 hours before it broke ( the hose is glued on from the factory ) DeWalt is a hunk of junk. Spend a few bucks more on the 6ah battery and you won’t be disappointed.

I mainly use this for cleaning my vehicles as it’s cordless, no more hassle of dragging a cord around. I have to say that it’s a fantastic Wet/Dry Vac! The battery that I’m using with this is the 4. 0 amp Craftsman 20V.

With this combination, the dirt doesn’t stand a chance. Lots of power and long lasting. The attachments that come with it are great and conveniently located on the Vac so no looking around for attachments, yes even the crevice attachment in the handle.

I get this vac home and on the box is written no battery or charger included. Now that I looked again at the website, I notice in the specifications next to battery “NO” Once again, subjected to exhaustive reading for something that should come complete.

I missed the specification regarding the battery. The reviews were positive Are people really happy paying $129. 00 (Vac) + $99. 99 (Charger) + $129 (Batteries) for this item I’m not. To buy the charger ($99.

99) and batteries (2 pack $129. 00) will cost an additional $228. 99 Not worth it. Don’t know how it works, but it sucks Will be returning.

It is a great product, easy to us, and enough components for use in a small space in the car. It is more powerful than I thought compared to previous one I had. I will recommend someone.

Perfect little vacuum for a truck driver. Cord is long enough to reach the entire cab without changing outlets. Has just enough power to take care of most small messes. Easy to store, lots of attachments.

I owned the older version of this vacuum and I really liked it. I had it for almost 20 years and the bearings were just starting to get bad. I replaced it with this new version. So far it works just as well but I actually prefer the attachments without the locking clips.

Also, the motor, when used as a blower, doesn’t sit upright very well and is prone to tip over. Aside from that it seems to function pretty much the same. I do highly recommend the detachable motor to use as a blower.

It’s especially useful for cleaning the filter.

This thing is powerful and gets in tight places and picks up all kinds of stuff without having to sweep!! I can honestly say this is the best hand held vacuum I have ever used! It is so compact, sturdy and effective.

I used it on carpeted and non carpeted surfaces and it worked equally fabulous. it does a great job and has very good suction for a hand held battery powered device. -Sri Vidhya.

I was signed up for alerts for when this product would become available to buy in stores. I’ve had it since it first came out and while it’s not a perfect vacuum, it’s perfect for my needs. I do maintenance for an apartment community and I was tired of carting a full sized vacuum around when all I needed was to clean up a small work area inside a unit.

I already have a full set of M12 Fuel tools that I use, I kept looking at the M18 vacuum, but didn’t want to mix in one M18 battery with all my M12 ones. Then Milwaukee announced the M12 version and I couldn’t wait to try it out.

It has plenty of power for light clean up work, it handles saw dust, drywall dust, dirt, small screws, and even a small water mess (not at the same time of course, ha) without hassle, as far as suction is concerned.

But it does have the issue of overheating the battery. When the vacuum is working too long or too hard, the draw across the battery trips the overheat protection and the unit shuts itself down for a moment.

Anywhere from 30s to 1min. I’ve noticed that the problem gets worse the longer you go between cleaning the filter. I keep meaning to pick up a another filter so I can hot swap them, right now I just make sure to pull the filter and clean it every few days after frequent use.

That helps some, also keeping the tray empty helps. Too much build up inside can clog the filter area and leads to the overheating. But keeping this in mind, knowing about the overheating issue, it’s still a great little clean up vacuum.

It’s not a full sized shop vac, if I was trying to replace that for when I’m cleaning up the shop, then I would go for the M18 version. But for doing small cleanups inside apartments where I was working, even tackling some water when I had a washmachine flood, this little vaccum is worth every penny.

Vacuum seems to have suction comparable to advertised value. However, the unit is finicky on batteries. It senses the available amp hour rating and will throttle motor speed accordingly. Just don’t think you will through a low Ah rated battery in for a short job at full power.

Will likely have to dedicate late model 3. 0, 4. 0, or 6. 0Ah XC batteries to utilize at full capacity. Enclosed hose and tool storage is very nice. I see a brush attachment being more useful than the supplied widemouth flat surface attachment.

The included wall hanger will provide convenient for storage. Additional wall hanger purchase would be a nice addition for other use / storage locations.
