20 Best Candle Making Kit For Beginners (2022 Updated)

Pretty pleased with soap kit; 10 yr old granddaughter enjoyed making the soaps; fragrance was t great, but we added our own essential oils for more “smell”; wish more glycerin was included but we had extra bc we make a lot of our own soaps.

I bought these for Christmas gifts for my 4 great grandaughters. They were a real hit with all of them. They range in age from; 6 to 9. One even sent a picture on facebook of making them & the outcome.

She loved the kit.

My 6-yr-old enjoyed playing with this, but she was a bit disappointed that the “soap within a soap bars didnt turn out. Theclear soap is too opaque to really see the smaller soap inside unless its wet.

But overall, she liked mixing all the colors and scents.

My children love this, and I even enjoy working with it. It’s very rewarding to see what you can create when you warm it up and it becomes pliable! Beautiful colors, too. The only challenge we sometimes have is keeping it clean–have to make sure to have clean hands and keep it away from dust or fuzz.

I purchased these to use with pattern cutters and a beeswax candle making kit. The wax is of high quality. It does not smear as you cut into it making for a clean slice. The wax is not too thin or too thick.

The colors are vibrant as you would expect from Stokmar products. Although a bit pricey you get what you pay for. No hesitation I will purchase more when needed.

Excellent for decorating beeswax candles. It doesn’t smell like the original modeling wax but it’s a lot easter for little hands to warm up and create with. You get a lot of colors in one pack.

We purchased these after the holidays but plan to use them as we need them. The kit includes small and colorful sheets of beeswax that allow you to make 48 candles! This past weekend, we needed birthday candles for our birthday ring and they fit perfectly.

The colors are vibrant and the wicks are pre-cut, which makes it incredibly easy to roll the candles as needed. A fun project for my 3 year old, my 7 year old and myself! We love using candles throughout the year and will make great use of this kit.

These were AWESOME. Exceeded my expectations for sure. There’s enough sheets and wicks for 44 candles (so a full Hanukkah set) plus four extra for decorating (or for if your toddler eats one. Hypothetically, of course ).

Bright rainbow colors and they fit perfectly in a standard menorah. My almost 3-year old was able to roll them with an adult’s help putting in the wick. As long as we overlook that one good chomp 😂.

We ordered after the holidays to use for crafting projects and making birthday candles. A younger child will likely need assistance to get started rolling. Our seven year old could roll by himself and punched out shapes from the scraps to decorate.

Our candles ended up fitting in the brass candle holder and can be used in a birthday ring. We also plan on giving some away as gifts. I would definitely buy again!.

As much as I love Skylar’s scents I wasn’t as impressed with their candles as I am with their perfumes. Don’t get me wrong I do love the scents of the candles, well what I can smell that is since covid took away my sense of smell almost a year ago and I haven’t gotten it back so I can only smell a tiny bit if I really stuff it in my nose, but what I don’t like is the way they burn.

They have a pretty fast burning time so they don’t last for too long and there always ends up being black smoke embedded in the glass which is not very pretty to look at. It does burn pretty evenly which cheaper candles don’t do so that is a good thing.

I still think I’m paying a lot for something that’s not as good as it could be. I would also like for the scent to be stronger, one candle isn’t enough to fill the room with the aroma of the scent so it’s not very strong.

I still love Skylar’s scents though! And Salt Air is one of my favorites!.

Vanilla Sky is an amazing scent for someone like me, loving everything with vanilla and obsessed with gourmand notes. I fell in love first with the fragrance, but the candle doesn’t disappoint either.

In a way it’s a little bit more gourmand than the fragrance, the notes of cappuccino and caramel are more distinct. The candle in itself is mediocre. The scent is amazing, but it has the throw of a smaller candle.

The wick needs constant trimming, otherwise it smokes a lot; it’s definitely not a clean-burning candle.

Really lovely candle. I love the scent. It’s very warm and cozy but doesn’t feel out of place even as it’s about to be summer. This is not a cake/cookie/sugary vanilla and I think people will either love that or hate it.

The cedar and cappuccino notes really come through to add a nice spicy element to the fragrance. I melt my candles instead of burning them so I haven’t had any wick or tunneling issues with my candle, and the throw is pretty good (fills up my whole kitchen/living room area of my apartment).

I just wish it came with a lid. Seems odd not to include one.

I ordered this for my 10yr old daughter to make Christmas gifts for family. We tested out with a sheet. This is amazing. She can do it with very little help from me. The sky’s the limit for her creativity to shine with these.

My only word of advice is to coat the wick in wax before using. I used a candle we already owned. If you don’t the wick won’t light. I put wick on wax paper and used my lit candle to cover the wick. I might order another to make candles for our home.

These candle kits are perfect for a quick but innovative activity on a rainy day. They help avoid screen time and are a good use of time and creativity without too much effort. Perfect for 2 young girls and instant gratification.

Like you, I’ve bought a whole lot of art kits over the years, but never more than during COVID. I Somehow missed the memo about beeswax candles and this kit is great for creative kids who want something different.

She’s made them as get well presents and has started making a few birthday candles as well, which will be great to share with friends, now that we’re back to outside birthday parties. No mess, no adult supervision required, and consumable (by fire–don’t eat them).

Best. Craft. Ever.

at first, I thought these were a bit pricey for a lump of clay and some wax, but I went ahead and bought some as a gift that I could do with my mother while I stayed with her over the holidays. I am so glad I did!! they were very well packaged with pretty minimal waste–we used the plastic that the clay was wrapped in as a work surface and I loved being able to melt the wax in the bag.

the box, clay canister and bag are all strudt and how housing other art supplies. the only “excess” was the varnish, but that’s easy to use in future projects. and now we have the candles that remind us of the fun we had when we’re apart.

all in all, I’d say it was well worth the price and I’d highly recommend!.

I got my parents two kits (the sculpd for two kit and the candle making kit) for Christmas this year. They both have been wanting to have less screen time and explore new hobbies since they’re recently retired.

They were excited to see how much supplies actually comes in the kits (some diy kits don’t allow for much room for error lol) but there’s plenty for them to each make creations with both the kits. They used the kits as at home date night activities and have been enjoying spending time together while trying to things.

They will probably be getting sculpd kits for Christmas every year now!.

We had the couples candle pot making kit for valentines with the basil scent and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. I brought this kit off an insta advert and I’m glad to say everything was as described.

The kit was Packaged well with labels to all items and a useful information leaflet. The leaflet was a Handy guide to give tips and ideas We both loved the whole process and would highly recommend as a cute date night idea to anyone!.

I was excited to receive this sidekick pendant fragrance kit in the mail! I couldn’t wait to try it out in my car and immediately put it to good use. Right off the bat I enjoyed how easy it was to disconnect the pendant and insert a fragrance piece.

The fragrance piece fits right in and the sidekick easily clicks together where you’d like to hang it. I hung mine in my car around my rearview mirror. I love it’s size and that it’s not distracting or too large so I am able to use it in my car.

I did not really enjoy the pink sands fragrance, as it was too strong for me, but I am currently enjoying a different sidekick refill scent. So far I’ve noticed the fragrance lasts for a short amount of time.

I really noticed the fragrance for a few days but after the first few days the fragrance was not really noticeable. So far I’ve enjoyed my new sidekick, although I do wish the fragrances lasted longer.

this Yankee candle sidekick pendant is really nice to have in your car if you have pets or a little kids. It helps keep the area fresh to 30 days. This particular said pink sand smells so amazing. I wish I had a perfume that smells exactly like it because it smells really nice it’s very soft but powerful but not overwhelming.

I definitely give me the fives the water in the sun. The only downside to this pendant would be The hanging string is not long enough to go around in your rear mirror so you would only have to put it on your gears switcher or hang it somewhere in your car and that the pain strain.

And my picture below actually have it hanging in my bathroom. This is my bathroom refrigerant and I just kind of hook it onMy window curtain.

I really liked this yankee candle air freshener. Its really easy to put together and its so pretty that you can even gift this to someone. I love the design of this, its so unique that you would have never guessed its an air freshener.

The scent says Pink Sands which smells amazing. I like floral, citrus and melon scents so this one is perfect! You can even put this in your house and you can tell a difference. My truck smelled like it had stale air in it and I’ve tried a lot of different things.

I used to leave the window cracked up but seemed to make it worse. So I put this visor clip inside and now when I open the door you are greeted with an amazing smell. It smells clean and refreshing!.

This is a great scented candle that takes up minimal space. It provides a very nice fragrance that is not overpowering. Great for a bathroom or office or any small room or space.

I love candles w/lids. Takes care if the “smoke.” Very useful as bead containers when the candle is done. I dind using Goo-Gone really cleans them very well.

Everything you need for a first timer with good clear instructions. Make sure you use a lipped bowl to pour out melted wax. Candle smelt nice. Can get creative making own design of candle – daughter made a fried egg!.

My daughter is big into arts and crafts. She loves any and all crafts. Especially one’s that she can display in her room. This lantern craft is absolutely perfect for her! It came with everything you need to make a nature lantern.

The instructions are very easy to follow. I helped her a little when it came time to apply the first coat of tissue paper that comes in the kit. After the first application and watching me, she easily did the second coating of the application.

She loved it and found it to be so much fun. After we gave it enough time to dry, it was time to release the lantern from the mold and decorate. My daughter opted to decorate her lantern with the stickers only this time.

But we plan on applying leaves and flowers for the second lantern now that the flowers are finally in bloom near us. Everything about this kit is so cute. From the stickers to the battery operated tealight, this kit let’s your child be creative and make something they can use in their room.

My daughter uses hers as a night light and she’s so proud of what she’s created. I’m just happy she’s happy and it’s definitely a bonding craft we had so much fun making. I definitely recommend!.

The lantern activity is lots of fun and easy to do! It takes a few steps to put together- first, glue the tissue paper pieces to the plastic cylinder and let it dry for a few hours. Then, repeat the step to add a second layer.

Then let the kids go exploring to find leaves and flowers – they loved this part! After they find them, we dried the flowers- the directions explains how you can microwave them to dry them out in minutes (alternatively, you can let them dry out for a couple weeks).

Afterwards, the kids loved decorating the lantern with the dried flowers/leaves and the many stickers included in the kit! They then had to add one more layer of tissue paper and let it dry. Lastly, the plastic mold comes out, the base pops in, and put the tea light inside! The kids thought it was cool and how it lit up to show the different flowers/leaves they found! This is great for a camping theme too! I recommend this kit!.

My son and I really enjoyed making this lantern. It does take a little while, due to the drying time in between layers, but the end result is worth it! My son was really excited that he got to pick flowers and leaves to incorporate into the lantern.

The stickers that come with the kit are really cute too! I think there are enough of all of the materials included to make another lantern, so we are really looking forward to that. I think this is definitely easy enough for an 8-year-old to do by themselves, but I did help by making sure there was glue covering each layer.

The hardest part was removing the plastic mold from the lantern itself – I had to do that but found a way that made it easier. We will definitely make another one of these in the fall so we can use bigger leaves!.

Smelled nice in the box but I’ve had it burning for the past 4 hours and can barely smell anything. On the first burn the wick has also turned into what I can only call a black cauliflower – not the best look.

Doesn’t hold a candle (pun intended) to a well-known competitor that has a signature vanilla caramel scent. Don’t waste your money on this one.

Beautiful quality candle with gorgeous lid. keeps dust out when not in use and snuffs flame perfectly. But the scent is not for me. i was hoping it was a bit fruitier. but its actually a very strong green twig type of smell.

I’ve been searching for a Fig candle and after buying the Diptyque Figuer and subsequently returning it i was so happy to find MOR do a Fig scent also! Please don’t stop making this scent, it’s amazing! Fills the room with scent, unlike Dyptique where after burning the candle for 6 hours i couldn’t smell a thing!.
