There are a few reasons why someone might want to use a camera to self-film their hunts. Perhaps they want to be able to capture their own reaction to the hunt, or they want to be able to show friends and family the excitement of the hunt without having to be the one behind the camera.
Additionally, self-filming can provide a level of safety for the hunter, as they will not have to worry about being in close proximity to wild animals.

Perfect for vloggers, the Sony ZV-E10 pairs a large APS-C sensor and mirrorless versatility with a specialized feature-set built just for content creators. Improving upon the ubiquitous smartphone, the ZV-E10 is an Alpha camera that brings improved image quality, greater choice of lenses, and increased control to up your creativity when shooting.
Taking a concept that originated with the ZV-1, the ZV-E10 is the mirrorless continuation of this idea of a camera built around the concept of vlogging. It’s a highly capable and portable camera but incorporates a series of design choices and shooting modes that are ideal for single-person productions.
A vari-angle screen lets you accurately frame up shots, the integrated directional mic is purpose-built for recording more accurate sound from front-facing subjects, and shooting modes like Background Defocus and Product Showcase help you highlight specific subjects with ease.
In terms of specs, the ZV-E10 revolves around a 24. 2MP APS-C Exmor CMOS sensor, which enables UHD 4K video recording up to 30p, Full HD recording at 120p, and stills shooting up to 11 fps. Sensitivity ranges from 100-32000 for working in a variety of lighting conditions and the sensor’s design also integrates a 425-point Fast Hybrid AF system for accurate tracking and detection of subjects.
The body design is reminiscent of Sony’s other Alpha E-mount cameras and features an intuitive control layout along with the functional 3. 0″ vari-angle touchscreen LCD for intuitive settings control and framing.
With audio being a main concern of vlogging and creative content, the ZV-E10 focuses on this aspect of recording by including a 3-capsule directional mic into the camera design as well as incorporating both 3.
5mm mic and headphone ports and having the top Multi Interface shoe support a digital audio interface for improved audio quality.
I’ve been a photographer for over forty years but this is my first foray into mirrorless hardware. I was looking for a small, well built interchangeable lens camera to use ordinarily for shooting video and sometimes as a compact still camera for when I’m backpacking.
This hits the mark on all fronts. It’s built like a little tank, nothing feels creaky, nothing flexes. I like that the screen can be rotated to protect it when not in use. The buttons and dials are solid and responsive.
Altogether this feels more like a professional camera than I could have hoped for. Video quality is excellent. I love that I have the option of HLG for simplified colour grading in post. Still image quality is much better than expected too, I can certainly live with this out in the mountains where size and weight come into play.
It even seems to produce reasonable results in its automated video and photo modes, making it ideal for those wanting to move into the world of interchangeable lens cameras for the first time. On the minus side, using it in manual mode is a little more “fiddly” than the DSLR’s I’m accustomed to, I’m having to delve into the somewhat convoluted menus a little more often than I’d like.
A trade off for the small form factor is fewer buttons and dials than one gets on a full frame DSLR. This will get easier as I get more acclimatised to the Sony menu structure and as I customise the camera to suit my workflow more.
If you’re more acquainted with Sony cameras this will be less of an issue for you. My other little gripe is the relatively short battery life. I guess its only to be expected in a camera so small that needs to power a screen whenever it’s in use.
As an aside to that, I do miss the viewfinder, particularly in bright light. Those little gripes aside, this is a fantastic camera that produces great video and stills at a real bargain price. I don’t hesitate in recommending it.

Despite the fact that the camera has a gargantuan piece of metal inside it to give the camera the “feel” of a more expensive item I find this product to be quite good for the price About the only complaint I have is the typical “Tell you nothing” Chinese user manual which just like all other Chinese user manuals tells you very little while flooding the pages with what appears to be useful information.
If you want better then pay more money but if you buy this camera then for the price you won’t do better unless you buy a second hand Japanese camcorder. I’m happy with it.
New image stabilization technology-video stays stable during the shot. External battery indicator. 1-touch power on auto-record with vibration indication. Tactacam app wi-fi compatible. Custom mode button quickly change between 3 of your favorite custom recording presets.
Remote sync controls multiple cameras with the push of a button from distances of 30′. Weatherproof built to withstand the toughest conditions. Ultra sharp lens optimized for bow, crossbow and gun.
This is an awesome little camera for making a video of your hunt. Very easy to operate and the quality of the video is top notch. However, you really need to buy an extra battery. If I go on a 3 hour hunt, and do not turn the camera on at all, the very next day the battery is below half strength.
I bought the remote and two extra batteries. So every morning, I charge two batteries, and swap out before hitting the woods. Just sitting in the camera unused the battery will be dead in 2 days. The remote does not run the battery down.
This is tje only negative I have on this camera at all. So if you are looking at buying, do it right and grab and extra battery so you can keep one charged at all times.
I thought this was going to work with the scope because it said film through the scope but this is a solo package and does not have the adapter so that it will work with your scope. I tried to use it as a solo camera and got it to connect with my cell phone with the app but it doesn’t run very long and it keeps turning itself off and there is very little use for a camera that doesn’t have any high frame rate and won’t see anything if it’s mounted on your gun and your target is 30 or 40 yd away by itself without looking through a scope you can’t even see the target it’s so small.
This might work for a close shot with a bow and arrow but there is no other use for this in any decent action cam without perform this. Any attempt to view the recorded information either photograph or video stored on the SD card from the app on a cell phone only crashes so if you want to look at anything that you’ve done you have to wait till you get back and plug it into a computer to access the photographs and videos stored on the SD card in the camera.
I could either buy a very cheap action camera for about $50 which is a third with this thing cost or I can save up my money and buy a really nice scope that does recording through the scope and has night vision also for about four times the original cost of this unit.
Great cam! Easy to use, clear picture always, the lens allows you to see it on film like looking at while hunting or fishing, and good sound recording. I recommend this cam for the hunter or fisher either just starting out or for people who just want an easy cam to use for their outdoor activities.
Lastly, the mounts, battery, lens cleaning cloth, travel pouch, and charging accessories provided completed a perfect package.

It’s deer season here and my husband is an avid hunter. He wanted to see what the woods looked like as far as wildlife, particularly deer, in hopes of spotting a large buck we’ve been seeing around. The picture quality is great, this is easy to use, and it’s waterproof and can be on standby for 12 months! We got it for a great price too! I’ll be buying another to span more of our woods.
This camera takes good quality photos. I did run into a snag with buying a cheaper memory card (it does take the micro size ones) that I didn’t follow directions on and formatted in the camera instead of the computer.
With the new card formatted in the computer I didn’t have any issues after that. It makes for a great addition during deer season.

With a retro styling and selfie-first design, the pink X-A3 Mirrorless Digital Camera with 16-50mm Lens from Fujifilm will be a ton of fun for photographers. The X-A3 incorporates a newly developed 24.
2MP APS-C CMOS sensor that can create sharp, detailed images at sensitivities up to ISO 25600 and continuous shooting speeds of up to 6 fps. An electronic shutter option is now available as well, allowing for shutter speeds up to an incredible 1/32000 second.
In addition to stills, the X-A3 even offers Full HD video at up to 60 fps. Addtionally, in creating a selfie-ready tool, the X-A3 has a touchscreen LCD that can tilt up to 180 and uses a slide-and-tilt mechanism to ensure 100% visibility as you shoot.
The touchscreen also provides added functionality with Touch AF, Touch Shoot, and other controls. The camera features a redesigned body with an aluminum top cover, front plate, and top dials as well as a faux leather grip that has an excellent feel.
In addition to this it has a variety of new features to make shooting easier, including a Self-Timer with Smile Detection, Buddy Timer, and Group Timer settings. There is even an Eye Detection mode to ensure excellent selfies.
In order to ensure optimal performance, the X-A3 utilizes a 77-point contrast-detect AF system. Built-in Wi-Fi further enhances usability with a direct connection to smartphones and instax SHARE printers.
Additionally, it embraces Fujifilm’s long history with the inclusion of Film Simulations and Advanced Filters. Included with the X-A3 is the XC 16-50mm f/3. 5-5. 6 OIS II lens, which covers wide-angle to portrait-length perspectives with its 24-76mm equivalent focal length range.
Three aspherical elements and one extra-low dispersion element reduce aberrations and distortions throughout the zoom range and an optical image stabilization system compensates for up to 3. 5 stops of camera shake to produce sharper, clearer imagery in low-light conditions.
This is good, but not great, camera. I knew pretty much what to expect from watching several YouTube reviews, some of which were very critical, while others have high to medium praise. One thing is true about all of the reviews is that the X A3 is in an entry level mirrorless with a decent primary lens with lots of room for expansion.
I bought the camera because of key specs: 24. 2 MP with good autofocus settings, but which is also able to accept a wide range of lenses and filters that will cost way more than the camera itself. I am not at all dissatisfied – the camera is exactly what I expected – but because this is my first foray into manual settings and different lenses (I immediately purchased a 1.
4/35mm wide angle lens that has become my new prime lens), it requires a lot of patience, experimentation, and watching different teaching videos. I am happy with the camera, but will probably be happier in a year or so.
This is a camera for those who want to be a step beyond photography with cell phone. It is very easy to use. In fact you can make it a point and shoot by setting it to sr auto. The feature I like most is the auto macro.
It works with the kit lens which can get close to the object and it will give you excellent photos of your roses, petunias, etc up close and the software in the camera will implement the macro enhancement for the photos.
I have tried the selfie feature of XA3 which is very convenient. I have not tested this feature in depth yet. I used to own several Fujica X-fujinon lenses. With adapter, I can use the vintage lenses with the help of focus peaking manually focusing very nicely.
However, the new lens with OIS is definitely preferable over the vintage lens. You have to like the special characters of the vintage lens, such as bokeh of 90mm f1. 2, to be worthwhile. Or if you are serious in photography and do not mind using tripod, then vintage lenses are very useable in XA3.
I have a Nikon macro 50mm lens and have been making good use of it.
Very good for still pictures, but awful for video. I bought it for video, only to be horrified to see that it was extremely denoised by default, so everything looked as if it was painted in watercolors.
Worst quality than a cellphone. Using the denoise menu to reduce denoising did NOT work for video, apparently that setting (and other settings about image quality) was for stills only. The manual did not mention which settings are applicable to video too (because there are some that are, and some that aren’t), so I bought that camera, tested it, and then I had to return it.
Video was really bad, and it had no reason to be so bad. This sensor was capable of much better quality.
For multimedia users who are looking for a lightweight and portable Mirrorless camera, Fuji has released the X-S10. This camera features the familiar combination of X-Trans Sensor and X-Processor engine, which has been an overwhelming success in every iteration since the X-series took hold of the Mirrorless world.
In the X-S10 you will find a 26. 1MP CMOS 4 Sensor and X-Processor pro, capable of stunning detailed images, with minimal image noise even in darkly lit situations. This camera also features built-in 5-Axis Image Stabilisation, which is good for up to 6-stops of stabilisation – with the X-S10 you can create stunning images at any hour of the day.
The Fujifilm X-S10 is not just for lovers of photography; video lovers are well represented with this release. 4K30p video resolution is on offer for creating cinematic movies, while when lowering the resolution to Full HD, users can explore slow-motion results, thanks to a 240p frame rate.
The camera is also good for photographing all matter of subjects, whether they sit still or move at a rate of knots. It features a speedy 425-point AF system, as well as exceptional continuous shooting – it can shoot at a top rate of 20 full-size frames per second.
Whether you prefer classic eye-level viewing, or the selfie and video-friendly type of composing, the Fujifilm X-S10 will suit your shooting style just fine. There is a high-resolution EVF at the rear, as well as a fully articulating LCD screen, this latter option being perfect for exploring tricky shooting angles or capturing well-framed photos and videos of yourself.
I bought this camera after failing in love with it’s size, weight and pictures I’d seen taken with well documented Fuji film sims. I’ve been a Nikon shooter for years but as I’m getting older the thought of lugging around a D810, 27-70 f2.
8 & 70-200 f2. 8 doesn’t fill me with joy. Don’t get me wrong, I love my Nikon gear and if I’m going on a “proper shoot” that’;s what comes with me. I bought the X-S10 as a primary travel camera, I didn’t go for the “kit lens” instead got the 18-135mm.
Weight was my biggest consideration here and beside that I have loads of fast Nikon glass that I can use with a converter. Have to say, I’m very impressed with both the camera body and the lens, given it’s a 7x zoom.
The jpeg images this camera produces are 1st class and require very little post work. I don’t even bother shooting raw with it now unless the composition is something special. Also very happy with the lens, some CA with it, but that’s a one click fix.
I haven’t really shot in video in anger yet, but I’m sure this would be just as good as the stills this camera produces. If your looking for a lightweight, small travel camera then I highly recommend the X-S10.
I carry this around in a non-descript messenger bag, which is another plus point for me.
I have had the X-S10 for a few weeks now. The biggest disappointment is that the Shutter Speed and Aperture dials cannot be swapped. The Aperture is at the front and the Shutter Speed is at the back.
I hate this set up since all my other cameras are set up the other way around, and every time I need to react fast to change my shutter speed, I end up changing the aperture. It is insane that this cannot be changed in the X-S10.
Other annoyances include the most dysfunctional and illogical menu layout. This is ten times worse than Sony, but worst of all is that some times you make changes in the menu and the camera doesn’t reflect the changes that you make.
This has also happened with my GFX 100S, so obviously Fuji has issues with the code that underlines the menu. Otherwise, I like my little X-S10 quite a bit, and the 18-55 lens is fantastic, so I am keeping both, but I hope Fuji will bring a firmware update that allows for the function of the dials to be exchanged, and fixes all the bugs in the code behind the menu.
I have shot with Fuji X platform cameras since the XT-1, including X100T and F, and I needed a new work rig since my current body was starting to show wear. I became interested in the X-S10 after dismissing it initially, mainly because after a closer inspection of it’s specs I realized it actually had everything I was looking for.
XT4 sensor, IBIS, current generation processor, etc and I liked the idea of how the green was articulated. After having it in hand and shooting for work with it ( a mix of environmental/ street photographs of static and moving objects that involve quick changes of zoom length and areas of focus) I have found what works for me and what doesn’t on the camera.
I love the feel of the grip, the weight, and the balance is very nice. it’s easy to get out of the bag quick and is not a bother to carry for long periods. it produces some of the best imagery I have seen out of a Fuji to date.
Just really clean, sharp, low-noise images. Great in low light too and even at moderately high ISO the images clean up nicely post-pro. I’m able to shoot hand held at night at slower shutter speeds (1/4 sec for example) and due to practice and the IBIS I can get very sharp results where I would have needed a tripod before.
As far as the configuration of everything is where I begin to find issues. the XT series cameras have a MUCH more intuitive button/dial setup. I was able to jump from model to model in the XT range with no issues.
With this body I constantly find myself cranking the shutter speed button, which does not adjust fast enough to go from subject to subject for what I do. No real problem but I have missed a few shots because it takes to long to get from 1/30 to 1/2000 for example.
also, some functions like ISO are dedicated buttons in different spots than XT bodies, and again I feel like it slows the shooting experience down not having everything near each other. The swivel screen is interesting but actually not as cool as I thought it would be.
If Fuji had figured a way to get the screen to tilt like an XT but also swing out and rotate that would have been perfect! but as it is I have to flip the screen out sideways like a video camera to shoot from the hip, which is noticeable to people around you (you look like someone who’s filming) , and feels somewhat fragile in that position.
Overall, I’m still going to keep this as my main rig for now simply because the images I get out of it have been amazing! the quirks I can work around. it’s a bit of an outsider in the X lineup but I put it up there performance wise with an XT-4.

Reviews From Real Customers
I purchased the Tactacam Spotter LR 10 days ago. I’m trying to like this product, but there are some things that need to be addressed regarding quality, price and firmware. Below are some things I would like to address.
Quality and price 1. The plastic lock/release that secures the camera to the clamp fell off. It is a design flaw due to its small size and cheap plastic. 2. The cam lever on the clamp feels like cheap plastic and is guaranteed to break over time due to the required tightness that is necessary to secure the camera.
3. SD card slot – Always look at how you are feeding the card into the slot. If not, there is a slight gap inside the slot that you may accidentally shove it into the main housing. – Design flaw and low quality.
4. There is no lens protector when the camera is detached for storage or travel from the spotting scope. 5. There is no case for the camera unit. Only the silly box it came in. Firmware 1. All video and image files will have a “Tactacam” watermark.
You can not turn the watermark off. At times you may be able to scale up the image to omit it from the image or clip. Although, not always. This is a worthless hassle during video productions. Tactacam limited there product just for home movies.
2. Camera Settings – When clicking the arrow function down the settings selection, it passes the firmware option , then goes to the next page. When I contacted Tactacam regarding the watermark, the individual’s reply was “Sorry for the inconvenience”.
They have no intention of making that optional. I guess Tactacam thinks they are ahead of the curve. All other camera makers, or spotting scope camera makers have not made this an issue. App 1. APP freezes randomly.
(IPhone 12) 2. No + – option in landscape mode to zoom in or out when connected to the phone and Tactacam WIFI. I could go on, but hopefully anyone reading this should want to look into this more before purchasing it.
I have used this on several different models of spotting scopes but usually on vortex. This allows you to not only record what you are looking at but also can get a little extra zoom in and get great videos.
We have used this while hunting and also at archery competitions. Great price, buy and will even allow others to see what you are looking at on the screen. Very lightweight and definitely a need to while trekking through the mountains chasing elk or looking at pronghorn on the prairie.
This allows you to have access to the footage you watched and also with a shot placement review if that’s what you choose to do. Great product and is worth every penny.
I’ve had mine for about three weeks now. Great on so many levels. Multiple people can view at the same time on their own cell phones. App is user friendly and easy to maneuver around. Kids and the wife can no enjoy what your seeing.
No more spending time trying to line up the cell phone. Decent pictures and videos.

I enjoy this camera soooo much! Adapting it to my vintage lenses is fun and gives me great shots. The focal length is completely different than my fx Nikon, so it is like buying 5 more lenses to use.
I would say the quality is equal to the D700, except for dynamic range. I definitely want to take this one with me everywhere i go. Eventually I will want more iso definition in the shadows. That will come when Sony A 7 falls into my cheapo price range.
I’m using Olympus cameras and lenses for over 10 years. Starting from simple EPL1 all the way to OMD E-M10 Mark II. I jumped from Mark II to Mark IV only because the sensor is 20MP vs 16MP for Mark II and all previous models.
I have a wide selection on M4/3 lenses and let my 12 years old daughter to have the test run of the camera. She is a novice in digital photography, but she was able to take amassing shots. I’m very happy with the new features, new specs.
Excellent compact camera for home use. I’m not comparing it to the professional cameras which costs $3-5K. Another comment – due to COVID Vietnamese factories are down. I live in Singapore, Singapore warehouses are sold out on this model.
I had to order from the US. Even with the cost of shipping and customs duties my price was $50-80 less than if stock was available from Singapore vendors.
This is a very complex camera, one that I would only recommend to the most serious/avid enthusiast or even professional. Much has been said in many reviews since it arrived in 2016, and youtube is the source for the best of them.
I sold off my Canon DSLR in its entirety for the shift to Micro four-thirds, specifically Olympus OMD bodies (EM-5 Mk II and this EM1 MkII recently acquired), and I haven’t looked back. The most salient desirables in the shift are: compact and portable lightweight gear overall, features unavailable in any other camera system such as “Live Composite”, and 5-axis sensor stabilization, superfast phase-detect and contrast-detect hybrid focusing, silent shooting mode, great battery life counted down in 1/100 percent as it becomes used, excellent 4K video recording capability, and four “C” or customizable camera presets.
Really, the list goes on, but for me it’s the “feel” and quality build and weather-sealing that are fundamental advantages as well. This is a gem of a photographic tool that rewards those who are dedicated to extract the capability of its design.
So far I’m thrilled with the camera body. The first few hundred exposures revealed a hint at the amazing potential within the camera. all that’s required is a competent and aspiring photographer. With all of the conversation these days around full frame and even medium format sensored cameras, for truly awesome photos using a lightweight and hyper-adaptive photographic tool, the OMD EM1 MkII is very hard to beat.
It’s the combination of utility and creative potential and mobility that characterize this camera, and for me it’s quite satisfactory as a vessel to capture my creativity. Though the sheer specs can be beaten by one or another camera, the entire package offered is virtually no match by any other camera.
Tactacam’s REVEAL X Cellular Camera is the ultimate remote scouting tool. The camera is ideal for locations with limited access or to put on your hunting properties. Start seeing the action as it’s happening even when you’re not in the woods! The REVEAL X Cellular Camera is not only small and discreet, but powerful enough to handle the extreme outdoor weather.
Its fast trigger and low glow infrared will freeze the action day or night without spooking wildlife.
Have two Revel-X cameras tested both at home before placement in field 4. 5hrs away. Now mind you my precieved notion is both cameras in different locations on lease would have their individual photo plans so I can view them as such.
NOT so- unless you pay more and get unlimited plans. Tactacam pools all your photos together UNLESS it’s unlimited (don’t need that plan-their way making you pay more). I have the starter plan 250pics month(was planning upgrade once season starts, but not NOW).
With both cameras on starter plan 250ea, Tactacam pools both plans together for total 500pic. Now I have one camera that overlook feeder and takes more pictures (I’m ok with that), but second camera takes less looking I to what I believe is big buck area down along creek.
Now since 1st camera uses up more photos it reach 500 limits plan and stop sending pictures regardless that the 2nd camera may have only taken 39-100 pictures. Very disappointing to have them pooling.
When I call then all they say is upgrade to unlimited plan more $$$$. This not what I want. They then say open another account with different email and put 2nd camera in that. ????? To be able to get 250 plan.
I’ll be taking this Revel-X back asap. My Browning way better 1yr 6mos on same set lithium batteries from 2021.
I spent a lot of time reading reviews on cellular trail cams. Based on the positive reviews and the price range, I went for the Tactacam and couldn’t be happier. We hunt an area where access roads are only open in season, so I rode my bike as far as I could and walked in to one of the more remote spots to put the camera on June 4th.
Before I was out of the woods it sent me the first picture of a buck. It’s been there for 4 months now with Energizer rechargeable batteries pumping out great pics nearly every day. When I put it up, it was reading the fully charged batteries at 70%, so I was a little worried.
Fast forward 4 months and they are just now still 30%. Will probably go through them a little quicker in colder weather, but still incredible battery life. I just bought a second Reveal X model and can’t wait to get it out and added.
Setting up the account and getting connected wasn’t too bad. I wouldn’t call it the easiest it could be, but I get frustrated pretty easily and was able to get it connected, up and running with pretty minimal stress.
Probably the only reason I would give it 4. 5/5 if possible, but performance over 4 months solidly justifies giving it the 5/5 for me.
Bought three units based on all the positive reviews and was excited to start using it. Frustration doesn’t begin to describe what a nightmare these units are to setup. It appears their servers are so overwhelmed that you constantly encounter “network errors” or just completely blank screens.
Calling their service line results in a spectacularly failed attempt at AI. It will only acknowledge a short list of issues. If your issue isn’t there, it’s stumped. Next it passed me off to a supposed live person.
I sat and listened to birds chirping for over 45 minutes and then was disconnected. Gave up on the app and went back to the website to attempt signing up using a different approach. After 6 attempts where after each attempt all my info was wiped out, it finally took my credit card info, but I can not activate the unit.
I’ve never encountered anything like this with a tech product. Whoever heads up Tatacam’s IT operation should be fired. Stay away from this unit until they straighten this mess of an IT operation out.
This is what happens when you grow too fast and try to hold it all together with rubber bands and band aids. I’ve wasted 3 hours today and am no better off then when I started. I’m returning all three in the morning.

f you want to get into Vlogging outdoors- in a public space, you can’t go past the amazing little Sony ZV-1. This Sony camera has big video and still picture features all packed into a small, lightweight body, perfect for carrying it around with you all day long.
Which is often required when vlogging alone. Another benefit of the ZV-1 is due to it’s small size, I’ve noticed you draw very little attention in the street, which is great for for your personal safety! The features I truly adore in this amazing little camera are the outstanding video quality and the ZV-1’s accurate focusing system, combined with a fast apature Lens, offering a sharp professional image, with plenty of bokeh! When vlogging, you never have to worry about focusing or creating lots Bokeh outdoors as the ZV-1 also has a built in ND filter as well which helps you keep your lens wide open! I very rarely use the ZV-1 for photography (still pictures) however putting this review together, I was curious to see what I could achieve with the ZV-1, so I travelled into the Melbourne CBD and practised capturing some slow shutter – speed images, with the help of the ZV-1’sv built ND filter and I am happy with the results!.
Never miss a shot with the Stealth Cam Browtine 16MP Trail Camera Combo. 18 IR LED bulbs offer an impressive 80 foot infrared flash capturing crisp 16MP images – day or night – without spooking wildlife.
Operating on 8 AA batteries (included), this trail camera boasts a 0. 8 second trigger speed and an adjustable recovery time. An integrated python lock latch protects against tampering or accidental loosening.
Plus, this trail camera accepts up to 32GB SD (16GB card included) cards for optimal storage.
Been 3 weeks so far, working ok. Doesn’t false trigger as much as other brands I own. So far, it’s reliable. Battery life appears to be very good, but it’s still too soon to tell. Cons – photo quality is not what I expect at 16MP.
It does not compare to quality of some cameras I have at half that resolution. Of the 2 cameras I bought, one exhibits a serious color (hue) image skew, where everything appears pinkish or reddish tinted.
The other camera does not have this issue. Time will tell how well these cameras hold up, but I’ll probably will probably replace these with different cameras due to the poor image quality. But, for inexpensive cameras with reasonable performance, these work ok for the time being.
My camera is setup on my ranch in south texas. It has been a great asset so far. I have it setup opposite of 2 deer trails. It has gone thru 2 freezes and some rain with no issues. I have the camera setup 2 1/2 feet off the ground to capture pics of the whole deer.
When setting up on trails without a feeder, I recommend you to put some protein and corn near the camera to hopefully get pics of bucks you might not get on a camera at your feeder. Lucky for me I did get pics of mature bucks I never did get pics at a deer feeder.
I recommend pulling your cameras once the bucks drop their antlers to maximize the life of your cameras.
I could not find anything on the PIR or photo delay feature on the package or on line. This is one of the most important features of any trail camera. I should have realized it was a bad sign when they did not want to mention or high light the feature.
I bought it anyway and took it home only to find out from the paper manual you can only delay pics up to 60 seconds. I have 5 other brands and they all allow delays in seconds, one minute, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, etc.
I will be taking it back tomorrow. Do not make a camera that does not have more flexibility with this important feature.

The instruction leaflet gets the batteries in and switched on, after that you are on your own. The control buttons are clearly marked and the menu is straightforward enough. After a bit of experimenting, you are able to use the camera easy enough.
We have had a lot of fun, seeing what is about at night, though there are frequently pictures of nothing. I get the impression (just guessing) that the movement sensor can see things that are out of effective range of the infra red.
We are set for seven second videos, this is sufficient time to see the animal. We have a 32gb sd card of grade 10. This holds lots and produces good quality images. Battery life seems good, we have four Duracell and four rechargeable batteries, because that was what we had in.
The Duracell ones are still going after three weeks and the others have been charged three times. There is another model above this HC200, but I dont know what advantages it has. We are well pleased with our purchase.
The camera is affordable. It would have been helpful to have the type SD card needed in the description. The instructions are minimal. After one use I had to take the batteries out and reinstall them to get the camera to shut off or show the menu.
The night pictures I got were very grainy. The day pictures were good. I haven’t yet tried the video mode.
The camera is good in all respects. The major problem was that there were NO instructions in the box. Fortunately a friend who has the same camera explained the set up procedure. I am very pleased with the quality, performance and price of the product which I have set up in my garden to watch the nightlife.
After doing some research and reading some reviews, I have come to the conclusion that the best camera for self filming hunts is the GoPro Hero7 Black. This camera is rugged and waterproof, making it perfect for filming in all kinds of weather and terrain.
It also has great image stabilization, meaning that your footage will be smooth and steady even if you are moving around a lot. The Hero7 Black also has a wide field of view, meaning that you will be able to capture all of the action in your hunt.
